00:00:00.000we are polytheists, we have many gods. All of our gods are mighty and have tremendous amount
00:00:05.320of agency and concern for our folk, the tribe of our people, our race. Just because something good
00:00:12.820happens from the realm of divinity doesn't mean we need to boil it down to just one. And that's
00:00:18.720a really toxic tendency that we have in the modern world to do that. You've seen a progression
00:00:24.380in Hinduism to move everything to all the gods being kind of the reflection of just one like
00:00:31.720super supreme godhead, as I think they would call it. We have a tendency to do that. And it's an old
00:00:38.160tendency. It's not a new thing. But it kind of colors the way we look at things. It's much
00:00:43.740cleaner and easier to pretend that all the gods are just some different face of Odin. And so
00:00:50.420That's super clear. It's super simple. And it abdicates our responsibility to try to determine to whom we owe thanks for certain things. And I think that's dishonorable to many of our gods that end up getting minimized, left out and forgotten in that process. That's also intellectually lazy. And I don't think that's fair.
00:01:11.700So yeah, Rieg is Lord Heimdottler. That is truth. That is truth since he gave wisdom and development to our ancient ancestors. That remains true today in efforts to try to make it something different. I think at best, they are a misguided academic attempt to make things make more sense. And I think at worst, they are a dishonest ploy to have a new hot take on something.
