00:00:00.000 The other thing I wanted to say on it, and I'll yield the floor, is one of the things that particularly besets our folk is an overstimulus of negative information.
00:00:16.360 We are hyper aware of all of the things that are wrong geopolitically and in these huge macro machinations of the world that we have very little direct interaction with to change in a positive direction.
00:00:32.660 When we allow that to take the driver's seat, we become nihilistic, we don't take advantage of all of the small opportunities we have to act for the things that we believe in within the circles we actually have an effect over.
00:00:51.800 We become so dominated by the current of, you know, things not being the way we want them to be that we miss daily opportunities to move things a little bit better in the circles we're in, with those around us, to set ripples in the world that do good things.
00:01:11.360 uh alan mentioned that many people um myself included find meaning through our faith find
00:01:20.760 meaning through the astro folk assembly because the truth of it is so many people are are atomized
00:01:27.700 in the world and have you know maybe a couple of friends maybe the nuclear family they find
00:01:36.160 themselves in that they can actually affect. In the AFA, you have direct access to make
00:01:42.680 significant effects for hundreds, if not thousands of people. And that's an opportunity that most
00:01:49.420 people that you run into at the grocery store don't have. You're very fortunate to have it.
00:01:55.120 What do you do with it? Many of the people that, you know, the folk builder apprentices that I
00:02:01.200 mentioned at the beginning of the show, they've chosen to step up and try to make something of
00:02:06.100 that positive for what we're all doing.
00:02:08.480 And that's awesome that they're doing that.
00:02:10.400 Alan and myself have chosen to advance that
00:02:13.720 to a bigger proportionality in our lives
00:02:16.880 by becoming ordained as priests to the Aesir.
00:02:21.780 There's a lot of ways to do it
00:02:23.180 and there's a lot of opportunities,
00:02:25.480 but we have to be mindful
00:02:26.920 in order to recognize those opportunities.
