Bankas Podcast - Bankas Podcast #106 ｜ Calgary show moved to Yuk Yuk’s

00:00:00.000 it actually it actually just started recording now

00:00:04.400 oh what's up everybody welcome to bank of show we're on the phone with armin our bobby my boy

00:00:12.260 and uh ari shield is in the back here blurrily in the background and um i just got my show

00:00:22.300 cancelled in calgary because of a joke about natives and uh you know apparently there's no

00:00:32.600 freedom of speech on native land so um there's definitely no drinking water yeah well they're

00:00:40.640 drinking something but uh whoa all the shows are canceled oh you can't make a joke can't make

00:00:48.640 can't make light of it podcast is canceled live live wait i tried to ask grok how much money the

00:00:56.340 canadian government has given um uh indigenous people and it won't answer how much money has

00:01:04.540 the canadian government given indigenous people since 2020 and it won't it won't answer how much

00:01:09.980 money has canadian gov to natives since 2020 sorry about that i just won't answer it can you try to 0.96

00:01:25.540 google it oh great somebody's saying get your money out of canadian banks jesus fucking christ dude 0.97

00:01:34.780 man killed in morning stabbing in ottawa's east end canada's just falling apart like rapidly 0.61

00:01:43.940 and it's it's kind of i mean i'm canadian so it is sad i put out the canadian comedy special thinking

00:01:51.180 like it's weird because it was the perfect time because people are going to be so upset rightfully

00:01:57.700 that the show was canceled um for you know for a joke also it's i'm a comedian it was me on stage

00:02:04.040 doing comedy it wasn't me getting canceled for like screaming at a native guy at a bus station or

00:02:10.140 something you know what i mean like for real yeah exactly and it's like like i just watched the clip

00:02:15.360 and uh like you're laughing at what you're saying because clearly you're like being facetious like

00:02:21.340 you're joking like you know like anyone that's watched stand-up comedy would watch that and be

00:02:26.400 like yeah this guy's clearly like joking and saying funny shit like it's not uh it's not like 0.97

00:02:32.500 you fucking sig heiled and threw a rock at a native baby like well but also it's how many of the people 0.99

00:02:38.780 who are this one woman who's complaining or these other people are complaining how many of them are 1.00

00:02:44.380 writing emails to the government to try to fix whatever their perceived problems are with you know

00:02:49.800 that with like these are yeah i didn't do residential schools i mean i don't think that they're i i i don't

00:02:57.320 really even know what they are like what i've been told anything what i've been bringing more attention

00:03:03.420 to it by making light of it like it's like you know what i mean it's like it's better to do that than

00:03:09.400 not acknowledge them at all what to pretend it didn't happen like that's how history gets forgotten

00:03:14.460 so yeah no it's kind of crazy that it's like yeah but my point is like i didn't do residential

00:03:21.320 schools do i think they're good or bad it's like i well i don't think put like taking children from

00:03:27.180 their families is good like that's never good but um i also don't know anything about them really other

00:03:34.480 than they're bad like people go they're bad so that's why the joke's funny because everybody

00:03:39.540 collectively knows they're bad you know what i'm saying it's like this it's the equivalent of

00:03:45.800 making a joke and be like a lot of jews out here like it's time to open up i mean no agreed and like 0.93

00:03:53.880 that's it's like what i said before where it's like uh the casino that's canceling you is like the

00:04:00.260 it's on a reserve so the majority of their clientele is native people and they're acting like oh we're

00:04:05.200 woke by canceling this comedian i don't think it is i don't think it is uh majority i think it's

00:04:10.680 majority like white people probably they're spending money i don't think that i mean maybe

00:04:15.160 i'm wrong there because i was saying that like they're acting like they're coming from a place

00:04:19.800 of moral high ground but it's like you guys are just taking money from natives so it's like my

00:04:23.540 perception of it well they're taking money from natives that the natives got from the government

00:04:28.160 and they're i looked that up by the way what is it um 450 million since i think 2022 since 2022

00:04:38.320 450 million dollars in and and like a lot of them just get checks right like they just get like

00:04:45.180 there was a there was like last year i think a bunch of natives got like a hundred thousand dollar

00:04:49.420 checks and i'm not saying that and am i arguing that they should be taken away or no fine you got

00:04:54.180 your check but take your check and where the hells are you going what are you doing

00:05:00.460 get us some drinks for god's sakes this guy what is he trying to protect his

00:05:07.260 i was canceled in america because i made a joke about residential schools that nobody knows that they

00:05:18.560 but the whole point it's like you know people are coming to my show they want to laugh hard

00:05:26.280 am i supposed to just be like well tonight you're getting a toned down version because uh

00:05:31.940 what's funny is if you did atlantic college but i feel like your fans would laugh even harder

00:05:35.700 yeah i know it almost makes this is this is all really really funny the whole my whole act is going

00:05:41.320 to be 10 times funnier and better because of this yeah you pretty they pretty much like they thought

00:05:46.320 oh we're gonna like they pretty much just gave you 15 minutes on dating honestly let's be like if the 0.99

00:05:52.220 show happened they would have been like fucking with me the whole time they would have fucked with 0.99

00:05:56.140 the sound they would have made it weird and also like yeah they were making they were gonna make 0.97

00:06:02.720 like they're making like uh i'm getting paid like 30 percent of what they're making yeah and that's

00:06:12.440 not even counting drinks that's just tickets and it's a guarantee and i don't i don't want to talk

00:06:17.560 about it but i there's something going on with the deposit like the deposit like who has the deposit

00:06:22.820 you know what i mean i gotta find all that out anyway it's just fucked up but we're gonna do the 0.99

00:06:28.040 shows somewhere we're gonna sell out whatever their shows are and um you know fuck everybody 0.98

00:06:34.280 who's gonna try to cancel shows but you won't will you stand up to the government and demand with 0.98

00:06:41.620 but you they already did they already got 450 million dollars i don't know what else what else

00:06:46.500 that's the funny part is it's it's you know the the natives were demanding all this stuff so they gave 0.99

00:06:53.020 them money and then they're still not happy so it's like well you know it's also like the craziest

00:07:00.000 individuals of that group too like the woman like you said uh she's not only complaining about you

00:07:07.500 she's also saying that some employee at a auto body shop assaulted her and they should be fired

00:07:14.180 that's like it seems like she just has a history of complaining well this is the thing is it's you know

00:07:19.960 the the venue itself was probably waiting patiently for something like this to happen hoping one day

00:07:28.280 they're gonna get an email they're gonna get a complaint yeah and then they can escalate it and

00:07:32.760 then because there was probably already whisperings at the company of like well what's he gonna well

00:07:37.440 he's not making fun of us so he's making fun of everybody else or whatever and it's like one oh he 0.98

00:07:43.160 can't that was a it's a sacred day it's a fucking holiday i mean you can make fun of christmas you 0.96

00:07:50.860 can make fun of fucking easter you can make fun of all any other holiday you can make a joke about 0.98

00:07:55.700 whatever the hell you want hanukkah you can make a you know you can make a holocaust joke on hanukkah 0.96

00:08:01.740 is it you know i mean in irregardless of the context context it's about the right to do it and

00:08:11.300 this is this this theater slash casino that's canceling my show is doing it at a time when

00:08:20.380 the canadian government is tabling a bill c8 or c9 where they want to just they want to be able to

00:08:26.760 shut down your phone and take away your bank account with no explanation of why based on what

00:08:34.500 you're saying on social media they're going to go potentially even harder than the uk which do you

00:08:40.860 think i'm supposed to just sit there and be like that's fine when during covet i was against it

00:08:44.440 yeah and and jordan peterson talked about this they'll take one step forward and then people

00:08:49.100 will complain so they'll take two steps back back and then the next time they'll take three steps

00:08:53.920 forward and then people will complain and they'll take one step back and then again three steps

00:08:58.900 forward they are they want people to be silenced who want to speak out and be different and be uh you

00:09:05.940 know it's just complete terrifying it's lit i think it's marxism i don't know what else it is

00:09:12.200 but you're not allowed to talk about it you're not everything's just supposed to be you know

00:09:16.340 what'd you eat for breakfast today i had a burrito they're taking away freedom of speech in canada and 0.52

00:09:22.360 americans should be fucking worried because is it you know when trump loses if sorry if or if well 0.74

00:09:30.020 he doesn't run again or whoever's after it what my point is if the democrats get in again 1.00

00:09:35.440 they're gonna pull some shit like this they're gonna want to silence people and it's fucking 0.99

00:09:41.180 terrifying so 0.99

00:09:42.260 yeah what do you think ari what do you think about this 0.99

00:09:47.600 this guy's fasting for yom kippur does this microphone work he ate a fucking port yeah it's 0.99

00:09:55.920 plugged in and it works nice he ate a pork chop and then he was like oh i should do yom kippur 0.97

00:10:01.140 yeah this guy's like i want to fast all day and then interact with celebrities

00:10:14.960 oh look it's shane gillis i've been and i eat for 16 hours

00:10:18.280 who's out there it's okay we won't even talk to shane gillis

00:10:21.320 you won't yeah not with that attitude brother what the hell jesus yeah ari's 1.00

00:10:28.420 he's eating tomorrow or leaving tomorrow

00:10:32.340 he's gonna eat tomorrow it'll be fine

00:10:37.420 that's like the most offensive thing you can do when you're hanging out with ben bankers is not eat

00:10:41.620 that's true i'm a trailblazer

00:10:44.560 look at him and just be like i don't want to eat

00:10:46.280 i mean i want to eat i'm so hungry

00:10:49.380 so eat

00:10:51.900 it's armin i'm challenging myself this is the the opposite of the ben bankers food challenge

00:10:58.020 why don't you challenge yourself by just being like a better

00:11:01.080 comic why don't you post something

00:11:03.320 i'm fasting i'm so productive uh what did you do today i fasted i didn't eat

00:11:09.480 did you do any work no

00:11:11.540 no i couldn't i was too hungry

00:11:14.200 i was laying on the couch requiring calories to need my brain to find

00:11:19.240 if i sleep into one then i only don't have to eat for eight hours

00:11:23.440 i like to do the same sequence of the indiana jones game over and over

00:11:27.520 uh well

00:11:33.680 that's what a podcast is isn't that folks a little check-in huh

00:11:38.900 how about that 15 minutes is that good enough

00:11:41.940 the ben bank is checking so these are the dates i still have up

00:11:45.680 but these are the dates that uh if i do i'll get arrested

00:11:48.060 but it's crazy because it's literally it's not like taken out of context tweets

00:11:55.080 no it's not like me giving an opinion on something it's a joke

00:11:59.280 clearly at a stand-up show people are laughing people are clapping

00:12:03.880 what even was the joke

00:12:05.220 the joke was there's a there was a lot of homeless indigenous people and it'd be nice 0.99

00:12:11.260 if you know too bad they don't have a school to send them to

00:12:13.840 that's funny

00:12:15.880 i mean it's why does that mean that i actually know ben bankers wants 0.98

00:12:22.100 he wants to stop out and run what the fuck are you talking about 0.97

00:12:25.220 even explaining it like i hate getting autistic and being gay about jokes 0.99

00:12:29.120 but like you are being sarcastic when you say that so that's the joke

00:12:32.720 the funny part is that if that was if if like

00:12:35.760 i mean the the sliver of truth is like maybe that would be a good idea

00:12:42.760 but nobody actually but that's that's why it's funny to say that

00:12:46.680 because that's not it's not a good idea it's a bad idea

00:12:50.900 it's the same thing as being like oh there's too many jews as if there was a final solution to this 1.00

00:12:54.760 like it's the same it's just yeah

00:12:57.400 it's a pretty good bit

00:12:59.260 it honestly is like three people that emailed you the majority of messages you've gotten

00:13:03.440 were just death threats so i would love to know the like

00:13:06.540 how many of the death threats you've gotten

00:13:09.300 have those people also emailed the venue and it's like well why would you that take this person's complaint seriously

00:13:15.220 they just threatened my life which is a crime 0.97

00:13:17.440 like if i message someone and say i'm gonna fucking assault you on this day 1.00

00:13:22.160 yeah somebody was like i hope you get shot with your own shit 1.00

00:13:25.020 it's like so yeah it's like some retard boomer brain shit where it's like i can tell him i want him to get shot but with his shit 1.00

00:13:31.680 i wasn't i wasn't talking about what that guy 1.00

00:13:34.100 you

00:13:34.660 and these people 1.00

00:13:37.500 disgusting 1.00

00:13:40.440 these disgusting people that can't handle being made fun of 1.00

00:13:45.340 and i'm not talking about natives i'm talking about people who complain online 0.99

00:13:49.980 but like some of them happen to be native and some of them happen to be white 0.99

00:13:53.940 and some of them happen to be whatever the fuck they are 0.98

00:13:55.960 and if you're complaining about a comedian and trying to get them cancelled from venues because of a joke 1.00

00:14:01.760 it'd be one thing if i was in the street screaming the n-word at a black guy or something 1.00

00:14:05.700 it'd be like fuck i fucked your whole career is over 1.00

00:14:07.640 that sounds like funny 1.00

00:14:08.860 that's common

00:14:10.420 now that is a good bit

00:14:11.880 but uh

00:14:12.880 ben ba did you see a new promo

00:14:15.060 invasions

00:14:16.600 oh no

00:14:17.000 that would be funny just a video of you crashing out at a minority at like a grocery store

00:14:21.960 and then just your dates scroll up

00:14:23.700 but it's like i'm doing my job people were laughing and the point is yeah it's a risky joke

00:14:33.640 that's why people will want to pay money to see what i'm providing

00:14:38.700 if you're gonna just be like well you know i don't want to risk anything you know

00:14:42.480 all i talk about now is uh twiddling my thumbs and feeling bad about being 0.61

00:14:47.000 white and every day i think about all the bad stuff white people did like

00:14:51.720 make computers and phones and toilets and cars and planes 0.99

00:14:55.720 no

00:14:57.220 i just can't do it

00:14:58.660 so

00:14:59.400 and the oh the fact you didn't see that but they want me to do an apology video

00:15:03.580 even though they already refunded

00:15:05.140 no

00:15:05.720 they're like we're refunding people right now but we would also like an apology video

00:15:09.740 it's like for what 0.97

00:15:11.120 that's fucking disgusting 0.98

00:15:12.880 why am i giving you an apology 0.98

00:15:14.720 i'm getting fired and that would again that would make sense if okay for like

00:15:19.600 it would never make sense to make a video maybe a statement personally to them

00:15:24.040 maybe even then it's insane

00:15:25.720 but it would only make sense if i like made a statement where i was like

00:15:29.080 that gray eagle casino

00:15:31.060 is

00:15:32.640 like i don't know what i would have to say for to

00:15:35.260 to ever apologize

00:15:36.900 to

00:15:37.760 just a venue

00:15:39.500 after they've

00:15:41.280 it'd be one thing if they reached out to me personally like hey like

00:15:44.680 this is really

00:15:46.160 i still wouldn't have done it but if they were like can you apologize we'll still keep the show

00:15:49.980 and then i said no and then

00:15:50.980 even

00:15:51.400 but they didn't even give me that option

00:15:52.860 like even if they were like yo take that video down or archive it

00:15:57.060 it's something you would be like

00:15:58.820 maybe you like you probably wouldn't do it but you would at least say well they reached out to me and tried to come to some conclusion 0.99

00:16:05.300 this one they just outright told you like no we're not doing this you're fucked and uh 0.97

00:16:11.420 it's uh it's pretty stupid on their part because who else are they gonna get to fill that date 0.99

00:16:18.440 well the thing is they don't care because 0.99

00:16:20.800 how many people

00:16:34.040 somebody just sent me a date like of a show i think it's the grand prairie show like 26 0.94

00:16:38.940 like i'll be there i'm gonna murder you it's like 0.97

00:16:41.740 what 1.00

00:16:42.700 no number one no you're not you literally are just some loser who wants me to be afraid to do my job 1.00

00:16:49.380 because you got offended like a child not an adult by the way not a fucking grown adult that makes decisions 1.00

00:16:56.020 and you know is is is a part of society a toddler 0.99

00:17:00.820 who got offended and cried and and now is threatening death upon a comedian 0.69

00:17:07.500 and the comedians you know there's no record like it's weird because they can message you like a death threat 0.99

00:17:13.360 and like nothing happens to your account but if i were to be like actually fucking i hope you get 0.99

00:17:18.300 like if i just said exactly what they said i would get banned so it's like there's no protection even for 0.80

00:17:25.080 like people to like talk back to these like people who just think they can harass you and be like

00:17:30.640 you know you know you shouldn't be allowed to do your job any more because i watched one one minute

00:17:36.480 video of you and i thought it was offensive so i don't think that any club in the world should let 1.00

00:17:41.720 you do comp you're a fucking moron i'm sorry but you are a fucking loser and you're a moron you don't 1.00

00:17:48.280 know anything you don't understand how the world works you're you're uh you don't make money 1.00

00:17:53.340 not even that she was also naming clubs you haven't even performed that and club like the theater in

00:18:00.020 winnipeg that you did back in september she was like yeah he played at the burton cummings theater

00:18:06.460 it's like so now you're just messaging places he's been to trying oh yeah because our buddy our buddy

00:18:11.640 found her our buddy found her facebook and just started looking at her she posted about me tagging

00:18:16.880 like she also emailed but i guess she posts tagging the like venue but she tagged a venue i've already

00:18:21.740 done and like she's gonna harass them to be like don't ever have him again it's the show's already

00:18:27.400 done it's our we the people already came had a good time laughed spent money and by the way that

00:18:33.300 venue basically i sold like way too many tickets to get whatever i was getting like i sold 900 tickets

00:18:42.540 and they were doing some sketchy shit already like oh we only opened up these other tickets like it was 0.82

00:18:48.460 because people were messaging me for days me like i can't buy tickets but it says there's tickets 0.99

00:18:52.820 and it's because they were just not letting people buy more tickets because they just wanted to fuck me 0.96

00:18:57.100 over and then they did all this fuckery with the the check and made it like it was like i i literally 0.95

00:19:02.020 got the paid the same to do 900 people in winnipeg as half no no not even i got paid half as much

00:19:09.940 to do 900 people in winnipeg as i did 750 or no no sorry 450 in irvine california 450 people in

00:19:21.700 irvine more than double the pay than 900 in winnipeg and is that racial discrimination is that

00:19:29.860 you know so but no that's not enough to do that it should just not even he shouldn't be allowed in

00:19:34.800 the city he shouldn't be allowed to perform and so who should be then and who are the comics that

00:19:40.160 are selling tickets that should be allowed to perform and it does every comedian that is coming

00:19:44.620 to perform say it's a big name comic another comic that's an austin comic or whatever u.s comic

00:19:51.020 comes to do are they going to be filled in that hey by the way you're not allowed to say these things

00:19:57.160 here because and and is that freedom is that what what is that that is well they don't even do that

00:20:03.560 they wait for you to say it and then they complain it'd be one thing if they told you like look if you

00:20:08.280 do this gig you can't say this and then it's up to you to decide whether you take it or you do it

00:20:13.660 and then you don't care or you play by the rules like they just wait like even this like you were

00:20:19.400 booked there for months like they obviously had to have had the show's been booked for like half a

00:20:23.520 year or more like you know like it's insane six i think there was like 16 or 1700 tickets sold there

00:20:29.160 was 2300 pattern this happened to you in halifax recently as well where a week out from the venue

00:20:36.580 they just were like yeah no we can't do this we found out who you are and it's almost like they're

00:20:41.140 trying to intentionally fuck you over oh for sure they wanted i was saying to ari that they 1.00

00:20:48.760 definitely were like waiting patiently like somebody's gonna complain and the second they do 1.00

00:20:53.980 we're gonna raise the alarm by for every email that comes in and send it so every crackhead idiot 0.99

00:21:01.100 alcoholic loser facebook user that's gonna that saw a reel today is gonna complain and we're gonna 0.98

00:21:08.660 make this into this big thing and we're gonna and they think it's gonna hurt me and the reality is 0.73

00:21:12.600 it's not gonna hurt me that much because i did comedy i did not do a hate rally i did not get people

00:21:20.560 i did not get people at you know although we were across the street from a giant tiger i wasn't

00:21:26.500 performing in the parking lot of the giant tiger with a megaphone and and creating chaos it was a planned

00:21:32.900 scheduled legal event for adults consenting adults 18 and up you have to be an adult i think or if not

00:21:42.440 they have to be accompanied by a my a parent as by a minor yo if you're under age you gotta have

00:21:49.300 another minor with you otherwise you're not getting it bankers island um

00:21:55.220 but you know what i'm saying is like it's like nobody was like it's just insane that you even

00:22:03.660 have to say this in canada because it's like you know what i mean they're treating it like uh they're

00:22:08.180 treating it like i'm a residential school teacher that forced all the students to come to school that 0.91

00:22:13.220 day so i could do a sermon or something it's like i'm joking about how fucking bad it was obviously 0.91

00:22:18.720 it was bad look at what that's why everybody's maybe that's why or partly why everybody's you know in the

00:22:24.320 streets or maybe because there's literally a new country on top of what was their quote unquote not

00:22:30.740 just theirs there was tons of different native warring factions that were at war the iroquois were

00:22:38.040 at war with the mohawk and the algonquin and the thing they weren't all just getting along like you 0.69

00:22:42.960 know like nobody's business they were fucking fighting each other bows and arrows doing all kinds 0.97

00:22:48.160 of crazy shit slitting throats for thousands of years so this idea that i mean well am i but no 0.99

00:22:54.980 but is it offensive to say that you know i mean they would think i'm not saying that white people 0.99

00:23:02.580 weren't also doing that but i'm saying that there's literally no group on earth that wasn't didn't do war

00:23:08.760 and genocides and you know they never there's no native groups that ended up dying out because other 0.98

00:23:17.120 native groups fought them that's bullshit it's bullshit um so and i'm not saying it's right i'm 0.99

00:23:23.720 not saying but i'm saying that if we're all going to get along in these countries there has to be some 0.99

00:23:29.080 brevity there has to be some ability to be like that's a funny joke obviously it's so bad and wrong

00:23:34.520 that's why it's funny that's what funny is and did i personally do do any of these things no

00:23:41.640 so does that mean that nobody who's not indigenous or not you know if you know if i was indigenous and

00:23:49.240 i did that joke would that be okay yes oh well he's you know he's he's one of us so but it's it's just

00:23:58.400 this you know i've joked about literally every group and i i think i'm pretty equal about it and

00:24:06.960 the jokes really aren't even that it's like what's what's the hurtful aspect of that saying that if the

00:24:12.680 schools were open these people wouldn't be on the streets why is that so offensive because it's it's

00:24:18.380 not true but some people might think it's true which is why it's funny i think it's the fact that

00:24:24.440 those like in any group by the way any like group that feels like oh you can't joke about my thing

00:24:30.300 they just have this power socially where you know if you're in the office and you say i'm getting a

00:24:35.100 phone call fired oh great armin yo we talked to the chief the show's back on yeah no i talked to yucks

00:24:48.160 and he's like i fucking love it res res school joke it's honestly at this point it might just be 0.89

00:24:53.540 yucks canceling you from all these massive shows yeah yucks is like this guy's jokes were a little 0.66

00:24:59.880 too far maybe you should go to yucks yeah this is a lot funnier over at yucks it's a lot funnier 240

00:25:07.500 people at a time make them work eight times as hard but i'm gonna yeah no it's gonna be way more 0.99

00:25:13.000 beneficial for me fuck them i mean yeah obviously fuck them i shouldn't have even fucking been doing 0.99

00:25:18.000 that like fucking room and to begin with like you know on the it's like there's no freedom of speech 1.00

00:25:27.540 on the on the native land there instead of a sign language interpreter they have a guy at the side 0.99

00:25:32.980 of the stage doing smoke signals

00:25:34.360 we have to do once once we once this is yeah there's the actual show is going to be like a bit

00:25:44.320 more of a show potentially like might have to bring like arian with like feathers on his head or something 0.99

00:25:50.120 and then he can go on and be like i'm american i'm allowed to do this 0.74

00:25:55.260 yeah yeah technically americans but really who fucked up the like native people more was it us 0.81

00:26:03.800 the americans i feel like it was americans well i think because it's like colder here 0.91

00:26:08.320 you know yeah i don't dude i don't know i'm not i i like i'm not you shouldn't have to have a phd 0.93

00:26:17.740 to fucking make a joke at a comedy show i mean this is getting crazy do you know the history honestly 0.92

00:26:22.920 i don't i just know what would be funny in the context of me saying it and if people did 0.99

00:26:27.640 if they didn't laugh i wouldn't have posted it for god's sakes

00:26:30.900 it's like the the influx of people being like you aren't funny it's like

00:26:36.920 but like what is that even like what am i supposed to do with that like just be like okay that's it

00:26:42.100 calling it i mean that would be i think that would be funny if you just literally saw one bad

00:26:47.480 comment deleted your page just went back to commercial real estate you're like oh i don't know 0.90

00:26:52.180 fucking uh but that's the hope like do they really think people are that 0.93

00:26:56.700 they think people are that retarded that is the hope i mean i don't think they i mean they would 1.00

00:27:03.700 like you to quit for sure but i think the the reality is they just want you to see it 0.99

00:27:08.340 what are you doing why are you on your fucking phone for our whole podcast 0.99

00:27:11.900 what do you mean you're in the pot everybody can see you in the podcast you're not even talking 1.00

00:27:19.020 into the mic hello honestly i'm that offends me more than fucking like you you know you take care 1.00

00:27:25.120 of these openers and they do let's do a podcast the one little sliver of fuck 0.98

00:27:31.040 armin's not even here he's doing more of the podcast 0.56

00:27:37.360 what are you like this guy's sitting in behind me with the mic not at his mouth just on his phone

00:27:47.180 scrolling tiktok it's crazy oh my god are you i'm here i'm here what do you want to talk about

00:27:53.380 you're doing open mics tonight that's it all right that's it hey what do you want to talk

00:27:58.580 about that's it you're not coming to mothership you're doing open mics i'm sending you send them

00:28:03.360 one night in east austin we'll set them straight yeah yeah go to east austin those guys love

00:28:08.780 scrolling through a podcast

00:28:10.180 i'll call jake stone and be like get him some spots those are good spots though it was they are

00:28:21.000 i mean i'm not those are the glengarry spots you don't get these yeah you don't get the mothership 0.98

00:28:26.380 spots you know what to do with it yeah no you get the east austin you get the fucking you should 0.99

00:28:32.240 be doing you should be doing spots 20 minutes north of downtown in a strip ball to be honest 0.99

00:28:37.280 i'm too hungry to deal with this

00:28:40.380 you made a choice like for some reason today all of a sudden you're a hasidic jew like the day that 0.99

00:28:46.840 you're doing all these like fucking rituals and singing and all that's happening is i'm getting 0.99

00:28:51.240 fucking canceled from shows i'm anti-semitic now i think you already were 0.99

00:28:57.820 what makes you think i'm anti-semitic 0.99

00:29:02.420 soon two hours two hours i'm gonna eat the food's ready i'm gonna eat it all good

00:29:10.620 i'm gonna force you to break your fast at taco bow fine sounds delicious

00:29:17.420 why is he in this mood why did he he's in this mood because he hasn't eaten in like a day and a half

00:29:22.640 and then he's like taking it out on me i'm not taking anything out on you you're the one that 0.97

00:29:27.380 started screaming you what the fuck are you doing back there and i'm still taking it out on you well 0.98

00:29:31.920 you helped us i mean you're on the phone with like a guy arranging dates and i'm sitting here on my 1.00

00:29:37.580 phone like oh why aren't you fucking paying attention why aren't you fucking contributing you fucking 0.99

00:29:41.620 lunatic jesus christ dude listen you're off the shows great the yuck spoker was like uh well i am 1.00

00:29:51.980 gonna have to cancel some of this old lady's shows but they're not selling that good yeah no shit 1.00

00:29:57.960 yeah so it's gonna be sick back to yucks and i was like and he's like i hope there's protesters i'm 0.98

00:30:05.180 like i hope there's protest that'd be fucking hilarious protesting a casino it's it's it's like 0.90

00:30:12.280 for anything like and not for ripping everybody off and stealing hundreds of millions of dollars

00:30:18.360 what were you saying before i think you said that before it started recording yeah it's just like

00:30:22.840 the casino trying to take a high road stance of like oh he's making jokes about natives it's like

00:30:27.880 i bet 50 of your clientele at least is native people spending their money at your casino getting 0.98

00:30:34.300 drunk and losing at gambling so it's like you want to act like yeah what the fuck am i performing at a 1.00

00:30:40.120 fucking like a community center like it's a fucking casino this is the scum of the earth we're talking 1.00

00:30:45.940 about what are we doing here literally no and i didn't talk shit about the casino that's remember 1.00

00:30:52.640 in that louis episode he's like you never talk shit about the casino while you at the casino 0.95

00:30:56.360 and then he does it and then like joan rivers like tells him he's like yes but those casinos are 0.98

00:31:03.640 paying them properly like they're not like ripping them the fuck off casinos aren't like louis ck

00:31:08.740 you talked about so they wouldn't they do you remember the last casino were you at the other 0.56

00:31:14.620 casino with me in in calgary no you did yeah you were yeah because then you left a day the day after

00:31:22.220 and i stayed for a day fuck i was yeah what casino that was also i thought it was like reindeer deer 0.94

00:31:29.720 foot deer foot yeah that was another indigenous and they were chill and like but remember everybody 0.96

00:31:35.580 was just like there was just sketchy people drunk out of their minds everywhere there was beer

00:31:39.800 bottles everywhere in the hallways the guys were like you could order coors lights to the room and

00:31:45.280 it was like there in like two seconds and like the guy was like trying to come into the room and like

00:31:50.520 he was like the guy serving it was drunk and i was everybody was there's cops and it's it's like 0.83

00:31:56.700 what the fuck is this guys like you know they literally i didn't feel safe on the casino floor there 0.95

00:32:02.680 like i didn't feel safe walking around the casino and i and not because they didn't know who i was 0.99

00:32:07.220 at that point it's kind of funny that i'm becoming famous for the like i'm literally like i want to be

00:32:12.080 famous in canada well you got to make the natives know who you are first going to the first i'm going

00:32:17.800 to right to the source ben bank is really famous and in the native community hated but famous

00:32:24.780 but then i do have natives who come to my shows and like that was funny like i like so i don't know

00:32:32.940 it's like there's a mentally if you're mentally ill you're going to be offended because definitely a 0.98

00:32:38.680 shit ton of native people that are like yo that's really funny it's the crazy ones that make them 0.99

00:32:44.420 it's a bad apple that makes everyone look bad you know what i mean it's those ones that message you 1.00

00:32:49.040 like i hope you fucking die and then you just go like the fuck yeah you're an igloo name yeah 0.99

00:32:56.840 yucks keeps canceling the shows is really funny though it'd be a shame if uh something happened to 1.00

00:33:03.340 your show you would have to do let me calculate how many yuck shows that would be uh

00:33:07.540 three thousand divided by 240 uh it looks like you're here for a month i know weren't you just

00:33:15.480 telling me it'd be really funny if you did that publicity stunt of doing 30 shows at the same

00:33:19.960 venue yeah so it's gonna happen looks like you just did that to yourself and making all the shows

00:33:27.020 to the third full comedy club biggest canadian tour of yucks ben bangus did 600 shows last year

00:33:33.340 two shows a night two shows a night every night that's not even 600 how many shows that

00:33:40.820 that would be 700 oh i guess not every day but uh it would be really funny to just say

00:33:47.820 i will be doing yucks calgary every night two nights twice a night for the next year 0.95

00:33:55.800 that shit would make you such a strong comic though like if you could it would almost become like a 0.96

00:34:01.720 it would become like a tourist attraction that people would be flying in to be like i heard ben 0.99

00:34:06.560 bangus is here this year two shows a night yeah if you get your tickets from ben bangus you're

00:34:12.700 gonna go on sky scan that's nice he's getting paid in chips

00:34:15.220 he's getting paid with chips and feathers 0.94

00:34:19.660 oh god what a fucking nightmare it would have been a fun show i and i feel like even if i 0.97

00:34:30.100 if i had done that joke at that venue at with that like they laughed what can they say they'd be 0.96

00:34:37.620 like well i didn't like it but i see that everybody liked it and that we're in the business of bringing

00:34:42.160 people the worst case is that they say don't come back here and you're probably gonna go

00:34:45.400 ah well i don't fucking okay that's fine i did the show yeah we'll do the saddle dome or whatever your 0.99

00:34:51.420 arena is fucking cock yeah jesus christ we are on the unceded territory of ben bangus 0.99

00:34:59.380 this is the last cancellation 0.99

00:35:00.980 we have to do a cancel acknowledgement

00:35:04.680 that's what this episode what were you looking at on your phone jewish stuff food i don't even 0.55

00:35:10.800 remember yeah i was playing wordle or something oh my god he's playing fucking angry birds during the 0.96

00:35:17.820 podcast like a chinese guy in the body of an old jewish man 1.00

00:35:20.940 what the fuck dude i don't have to take this shit 1.00

00:35:24.640 oh really yeah you do you actually do 1.00

00:35:28.420 it's actually it's honestly like kind of funny just staying at a guy's place rent free 0.99

00:35:32.860 and just being like what you want me to do a podcast what the fuck is your problem 1.00

00:35:36.560 jesus it is very well you want me to have a conversation with you fuck off 1.00

00:35:41.780 what's on your face where do you have a little red thing there yeah i was a little bit irritated 0.99

00:35:46.220 in the pool maybe let's get her put some stuff on it maybe no i was just like jesus it's like

00:35:52.840 eczema he doesn't have his soap oh he's in bad

00:35:58.320 that's why he wanted to fly back to new york he was like my skin

00:36:00.960 you got a shower

00:36:02.060 the water in texas he's looking so upset

00:36:05.760 he's so hungry that's why i can tell 0.97

00:36:09.040 yeah dude why why do jews do this to themselves and then wonder why people think they're miserable 0.71

00:36:13.460 it's like this is your holiday it's not eating 1.00

00:36:16.160 the fuck is that i mean muslims do it for a whole month 1.00

00:36:19.160 yeah well ramadan 1.00

00:36:21.260 they got a lot of problems with those people too

00:36:23.400 not the exactly yeah the most uh cool-headed 0.99

00:36:27.560 crazy fucking example there are 0.99

00:36:29.760 do natives uh fast 1.00

00:36:32.340 yeah every day because they're starving 0.99

00:36:35.440 fast that's fucked up 0.98

00:36:37.160 all of the shows have been gapped out 0.98

00:36:40.840 they're not starving they're thirsty

00:36:45.160 yeah they are thirsty that's good paul

00:36:47.900 no drinking water lots of booze though

00:36:50.820 there's my new joke there's the there's the joke i walk out calgary every night 17 shows in a row

00:36:58.220 no drinking water but they got a lot of cause lights

00:37:02.240 oh yeah what was the other joke that the fact that the woman that wrote the paragraph had a lot of spelling errors 1.00

00:37:08.000 so she could have used the

00:37:09.960 yeah wonder what what could have helped that

00:37:12.200 wonder what

00:37:13.380 well if there was a building she could have gone to as a child

00:37:17.320 are there any buildings for children where they teach you how to read them right

00:37:20.920 all right it's six

00:37:31.700 it's time for ari's nap

00:37:33.920 before i take him

00:37:35.280 before i change his diapy and take him down

00:37:38.020 stay then pal

00:37:39.020 the most unimpressed guy with austin but like impressed with like just mitzies 0.99

00:37:47.200 i know yeah for sure he's just like a new york jew like this is terrible and then he sees like two famous people and he perks up 1.00

00:37:55.220 he's like whoa i should move you

00:37:56.500 ben who

00:37:58.760 who's that guy

00:37:59.660 ben who ben her

00:38:01.460 never heard of him

00:38:03.720 never heard of him did you see what he said about native people shame

00:38:06.340 should be cancelled

00:38:08.680 never to do a show again

00:38:11.160 it's kind of funny because now i can just post that again and be like yo this was the clip that got me banned by the ticot 0.93

00:38:21.720 i really it really is just like they sold you another thousand tickets it's fucking amazing 0.85

00:38:28.920 they're like look we're not paying you well enough so we're gonna fire you for this obscure reason 0.93

00:38:33.000 you're fired you hired again fired iron

00:38:37.000 it would be funny that they start getting complaints from my crowd and then like they just like they're like we've made a mistake

00:38:44.440 and like people just start boycotting like

00:38:47.880 the casino like don't go to this casino they don't allow free

00:38:51.560 whatever speech yada yada and then they just like start losing so much money

00:38:56.280 and but like i'm pretty sure they're just subsidized by the government like i don't even think they

00:39:00.520 i don't even know how it works they don't have to pay tax all that money is tax-free

00:39:05.400 so they were gonna make like 40 grand 45 extra grand plus booze plus all the people gambling

00:39:13.880 for my show that that now they're just not gonna make like yeah easily like over 150k that's retarded 0.98

00:39:21.800 but we must continue on yuck yucks

00:39:28.920 165 nights of ben bankers

00:39:31.960 it's the reason i got the tattoo

00:39:40.280 he never got any other club just yachts can always go to yucks

00:39:45.320 always go there it is cool that yucks is always there

00:39:47.960 yucks is always there for me every time i do profanity

00:39:57.080 just realistically cut to you in the green room being like what do you mean i can't smoke

00:40:00.680 what do you mean i gotta go three flights of stairs i have a smoke

00:40:09.000 eight times eight shows

00:40:11.720 four smokes is four smokes so that's uh

00:40:15.640 16 stands the show two shows a night 0.97

00:40:18.120 16 times eight what the fuck and then i get the check i'm like all right that was a good show 0.98

00:40:23.640 good weekend this is good it's great great i know i have bankers on the last show of every weekend 0.99

00:40:29.160 it's just like hey i want to go home and then you get that check you're like oh i love comedy

00:40:33.160 little man it's just real

00:40:36.360 you are yeah well what were we looking at in chandler you were looking at how much george carlin made in

00:40:42.040 the 70s was like 25 grand yeah george carlin on his peak made 50 000 us 1972 no i think he made

00:40:51.640 like 500 like his peak was like yeah the equivalent to like two but only the equivalent to like two or

00:40:56.760 three million like it wasn't like where it's like netflix deals for like 16 million and shit 0.82

00:41:01.000 yeah like but everything was cheaper so it's like 1.2 million like you're

00:41:04.680 if you paid like 1500 a month in rent like you had like a mansion so like i guess exactly it makes sense

00:41:10.600 but it is just funny to be like yeah it's funny like yo that's my hero he made 40 grand

00:41:19.320 16 000 a year i feel like richard prior made more because he did movies and i feel like the movies

00:41:26.200 way more money 100 i don't know why george i guess george carlin just wasn't as good of an actor

00:41:34.200 no man i mean he was like he talked to because on the first episode of snl he was supposed to be on 0.68

00:41:39.480 it and he was like just doing coke crashing out being like yo why don't this shit's not 0.85

00:41:43.400 funny what is this right one of the head writers told him that he was like stealing lenny bruce's 0.94

00:41:49.640 act after he was dead and he was like all right yeah walk it out and then he talks about it he's

00:41:53.560 like yeah i probably should have stuck around but he was just on drugs and he was like he was george

00:41:58.600 carlin so he was kind of just the king of comedy he just kept putting out like hours and specials

00:42:04.440 whereas richard kind of did just do acting and he put out specials too but yeah i mean of course

00:42:12.120 honestly the greatest comedian of all time is uh simon rakoff oh my god i forgot to message you
