Episode 2028: Walmart Missed Numbers Singal Recession Ahead; 16th Caravan Blows Through Southern Mexico; Cook Report Shifts House Seats To Democrats⧸Is This Reality Of Fake News; CCP Force To Play By American Cap Market Rules
The economy continues to grow at a rapid pace and the unemployment rate is at an all-time low of 3.9%. Is it time to call it a recession? Does the data point to a recession, or is it pointing to the continuation of the current growth? Scott Stanley and Jim Lachlan discuss this and more in this week's episode of the Economic Update podcast.
00:02:32.320Those are, if you think about the 1.1 million jobs, we are back to where we were at pre-pandemic level.
00:02:39.240So that is what we see as strength of the economy.
00:02:42.520Again, we're going to transition into a more stable and steady growth.
00:02:46.960And so we're going to continue the work that the president has set out to do to make sure that we continue to deliver for the American people when it comes to the economy.
00:03:09.640This is what we understand to be primarily due to pricing actions aimed at inventory levels, improving them, i.e., cutting prices because they got too much inventory.
00:03:24.340I mean, you know, when they had their last earnings report along with Target, I think both companies expressed some optimism that this inventory issue would be over quickly.
00:03:33.320I mean, anyone with sort of half a brain would realize that it wasn't going to be over quickly.
00:05:46.660The numbers have been given by the Department of Humanitarian Rights.
00:05:50.920There is more than 1,300 women, more than 600 kids, and more than 2,300 military-age men, which they are walking behind me, sir, as they are going.
00:06:01.140Right now, we're steps away from them going through this inspection point where there is National Guard and there is also the military.
00:06:10.280I don't think they're going to be stopped.
00:06:12.260I don't believe that they're going to be stopped.
00:06:13.940They're going to let them pass already the Department of Humanitarian Rights already explained that they need to help in some humane way to give them water and assistance to the children.
00:06:24.680But ultimately, as you see behind me, sir, as I'm walking behind them right now at this particular point, they're going to cross to this inspection point.
00:06:32.500And, you know, their whole purpose, sir, again, it sounds like a broken record, Mr. Bannon, but again, it's to walk 60 kilometers to get to this particular inspection immigration center to get the multiple migration form for them to access and to go to the north border, sir, as we're about to cross this inspection point for you to see if they're going to let them cross or not, sir.
00:06:52.880Let me ask you, did they now just have enough power that if they lock hands and say, hey, we're not going to stop, did the federales, did the Mexican authority just let them pass?
00:07:03.680Look at this, sir. They're not doing anything. As you see right now, the National Guard is just standing and they're going to let them pass as they're passing this inspection point.
00:07:13.000They're not stopping them. This is what open borders will do, sir.
00:07:15.400And I was as I was commentating right now, the intelligence agency has released a statement saying that more than 16 caravans have been right now, that more than 16 caravans have been organized since 2022, sir.
00:07:29.580More than 16 caravans. The biggest caravan is the one that we broadcasted three months ago of more than 15,000 migrants that predominantly more than 90 percent of them were from Venezuela.
00:07:40.940This is another caravan from majority of Venezuela. And also, sir, you've got more people from Africa, Somalia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo and Angola.
00:07:49.160Got a lot of people from there. As you guys are seeing, these are the inspection point by the Institute of National Immigration.
00:07:55.400There's no Mexican officials. There's no National Guard.
00:07:58.660And they're letting them pass and they're letting them through to the other inspection area that is going to be Cerro Gordo, sir, around 30 kilometers from here.
00:08:06.280Wow. 16 caravans. OK, Oscar, just hang on for one second. That's all in the in 2022 under the Biden regime.
00:08:15.540I want to go to Chris Kobach. He's running for attorney general in Kansas. Chris, you're also one of the top immigration experts in the country.
00:08:23.000Breitbart, John Bender, who's I think one of the best writers on all things immigration reported.
00:08:27.180They're thinking they're issuing, I guess, IDs at the border for illegal aliens.
00:08:31.620You can't get a voter ID thing passed by the federal government wants to get rid of all that.
00:08:35.260But they're offering IDs. So people, the illegal aliens can get quicker services.
00:08:40.340Also, Fox News just broke right when we were coming on air, just broke that there's five hundred thousand gotaways.
00:08:47.360Five hundred thousand gotaways, I think, has been recorded just this year.
00:08:51.220Chris Kobach, given what you're seeing, 16 caravans.
00:08:54.160The Mexican government's saying there's been 16 caravans just this year.
00:08:57.460You're giving IDs down to the illegal aliens so they can get services quicker.
00:09:02.620And now they're reporting five hundred thousand gotaways.
00:09:05.380Sir, give us your assessment of right now the southern border under the Biden administration.
00:09:10.800I'm sorry to say, Steve, it's even worse than what you just reported.
00:09:13.980The five hundred thousand gotaways, that was five hundred thousand known gotaways in the last 10 months.
00:09:21.520The unknown. So those are people they observed, you know, crossing, but we're not stopped.
00:09:27.160The unknown gotaways are almost certainly a number exceeding that five hundred thousand.
00:09:32.340Well, that five hundred thousand is 10 months figure six hundred thousand over the course of a year.
00:09:35.880Known gotaways, at least six hundred thousand unknown gotaways.
00:09:39.440And so you're talking one point two million at least.
00:09:41.780And then you've got all of the ones that walked up to the border agents and presented themselves knowing full well that the Biden administration will either give them a card or at the minimum let them into the country and hand them a little note saying,
00:09:53.880if you'd like to, you should please report to an ICE agent sometime in the next six months.
00:10:00.360This is nobody should be under any illusion that the Biden administration is encouraging this.
00:10:04.840They have had multiple opportunities to slow it down.
00:10:08.420For example, when the lower federal courts said that the remain in Mexico policy must remain in place, that would mean that these individuals would meet a closed gate.
00:10:17.880They would be told here you can file for a future asylum hearing if you really believe you're entitled to asylum.
00:10:24.460But in the meantime, you're going to have to wait four months, six months, whatever in Mexico.
00:10:28.080If that had happened, word would immediately get back to the original countries of these individuals and they would stop coming because they know it's an open door.
00:10:37.260And not only that, they're going to get all kinds of public benefits.
00:10:40.840They're going to have public school for their kids.
00:10:42.540They're going to have all kinds of goodies that we, the American taxpayer, are paying for.
00:10:46.400So the Biden administration is actively fostering this.
00:10:50.540They feed us lies and they tell us, oh, it's the border is controlled.
00:10:55.680It is the worst we have ever seen in our lifetime, Steve.
00:10:58.680And this is why we have to have, right now, the only people who can stop the Biden administration are state attorneys general going to federal judges and saying, look, this violates multiple federal statutes.
00:11:09.080Ken Paxton has been doing that repeatedly.
00:11:10.900He's carrying the American sovereignty on his shoulders.
00:11:15.200And that's why I'm running for attorney general.
00:11:17.480We have to have more attorneys general bringing these lawsuits to stop the Biden administration from breaking our laws.
00:11:26.360As attorney general of Kansas, what would you be doing to confront the Biden administration?
00:11:32.560Bringing lawsuits similar to the one that Ken Paxton had that just went to the Supreme Court last week or the Supreme Court said they're going to take it last week.
00:11:39.880I've got one representing a group of Texas sheriffs right now.
00:11:42.940But that's in my capacity as a private attorney.
00:11:45.940As a state attorney general, I can bring a lawsuit anytime the budget of the people of Kansas is affected.
00:11:52.140And that pretty much means anytime the Biden administration issues any executive order, any regulatory reform that has an effect on the budget.
00:12:00.300So my intention is as they continue to go further and further in breaking federal laws, Kansas will be knocking on the courthouse door, bringing additional lawsuits to give assistance to Texas.
00:12:43.320How can the federal government, the chief magistrate and the DOJ consistently do take these actions and these other cabinet secretaries to break federal law, sir?
00:12:50.860You know, the founding fathers of this country wrote in Article two of the United States Constitution that the executive, meaning the president, shall take care that the laws are faithfully executed.
00:13:01.560And never until now we had shades of it in the Obama administration.
00:13:05.820Have we had a president who is not only failing to execute the laws, he is by ordering federal officers to violate other laws.
00:13:14.240So not just failing to enforce, but violating the law.
00:13:16.840And I think our system, our founding fathers never imagined that you would have a president doing this.
00:17:52.660It shows me having an 18% point percentage lead.
00:17:57.800That's approximately the same lead that one of my opponent's polls had about three weeks ago.
00:18:02.920So it shows that they're not closing the gap.
00:18:05.580So we're in the final sprint, eight days to go.
00:18:08.040The bad news is that some pro-amnesty groups like the state chamber and AFP are just pounding the mailboxes and the airwaves with ads trying to stop me.
00:18:20.860So while we do have a lead, the other side, especially the pro-amnesty factions of the other side, are spending a ton of money.
00:18:28.460So we can use all the help people can give to help us finish strong.
00:18:31.780Every dollar that comes in, we're putting it up on the air.
00:18:34.900So, you know, 50 bucks will buy you five radio ads in Western Kansas on Farm Radio.
00:18:39.180So we're just trying to finish as hard and strong as we can and run through the line.
00:31:37.600If the so-called PCAOB, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, were playing this straight, and I don't think they are.
00:31:49.540I think what they're trying to do is figure out a way to protect the CCP and its companies in our capital markets.
00:31:56.940I'd like to be proven wrong about that, and hopefully I will be.
00:31:59.660But the things they're coming up with are things like collective accounting, for heaven's sakes.
00:32:04.520And the operative word in that headline is, of course, corporate tiers.
00:32:09.080You know, there will be some that are more transparent than others.
00:32:12.080But mostly what I think we are seeing progress made on is the revelation that our money is being used to finance the Chinese Communist Party's unrestricted warfare against America is sinking in.
00:32:26.600And, in fact, we did a marvelous program of our Committee on the Present Danger of China's webinars under the rubric USA Betrayed, talking about Larry Fink and others who have been doing just that.
00:32:40.220This is why I had you here, and this is why I wanted to do the Financial Times, the most important paper in the world.
00:32:45.100That would have not have happened, this action, this headline, if it had not been for the war room posse having the back of Frank Gaffney and the people of the Committee on Present Danger of China.
00:32:54.080There are two things going on, and I'm going to have Gaffney talk about these presentations.
00:32:58.680You have both the Taiwan situation, the South China situation, the geopolitics, what's happening in One Belt, One Road, the help with Russia, all of it.
00:33:07.000That's the kind of the – gets to the kinetic war or some of the – but you've also got the fifth column problem.
00:33:14.640Daily Mail's got this thing, the Botanical Garden, and they found out they had to shut it down, $100 million gift from the CCP.
00:33:21.200But it was going to have all kind of intelligence operators.
00:33:24.180This city is flooded with Chinese cash and Chinese influence penalty, the CCP, not the Lao Bajing, not the people, the freedom fighters, but the CCP.
00:34:26.180On Thursday, we're also going to do a seminar – a webinar on this issue of unrestricted warfare, showing how the Chinese and the Russians' partnership, this so-called no-limits partnership, is now translating into bigger problems in that unrestricted warfare space, including submarines off our coasts, by the way.
00:34:46.640Also, let me plug, if I can, tomorrow afternoon, the program is at one on the issue of food insecurity at 4.30, a wonderful task force that Reggie Littlejohn heads up for our Committee on the Present Danger of China.
00:35:01.200The Stop Vaccine Passports Task Force is having a webinar with really top-flight people, Dr. Peter Corey, Dr. Paul Alexander, Steve Kirsch.
00:35:12.920The father of a young man who was dead five days after he got the vaccine.
00:35:20.340It's about they're coming for your children.
00:35:22.840It's going to be a blockbuster program, and I encourage everybody to do that, 4.30 tomorrow afternoon.
00:35:28.180And then at 3 o'clock on Thursday, we're going to get into this issue of the Chinese and the Russians collaborating against us.
