Summary

Kara Lake is the fourth election denier and Trump endorsed candidate to win the Republican nomination for governor in Arizona. What does that mean for the future of the Republican Party in Arizona? And what does it say about the state of the country as a whole?

Transcript

00:00:00.000 And Donald Trump's Arizona sweep is complete as Carrie Lake wins the Republican nomination for governor, becoming the fourth election denier and Trump endorsed candidate to win a major nomination in the state.
00:00:15.300 Look at that. Look at that. Look at that. There's a whole lot of crazy.
00:00:21.560 Election deniers, insurrectionists, weirdos, freaks. You've got it all.
00:00:27.000 Really? You've got a variety of candidates for the Republican Party in Arizona, all of them extreme, all of them insurrectionists, all of them people who actually don't believe in American democracy.
00:00:42.120 They believe in their form of government where, well, you only recognize elections where your side wins.
00:00:49.720 And this is what folks on the far right have been working on for quite some time.
00:00:54.100 What this says about Trumpism and the future of the Republicans.
00:00:57.720 So precursor, those things are a precursor to what happened in Arizona.
00:01:01.720 I mean, you you talk about I've got to say you you you talk about extremes.
00:01:07.000 And I think the Arizona Republican Party, the rank and file selected, again, the most extreme slate of candidates probably in modern American history for election deniers for people.
00:01:19.980 Who, despite all of the federal courts, all of the Trump appointees, all of the Trump Supreme Court justices, all of the Republicans up and down the line who have said that this election was legitimate.
00:01:35.420 All of the people who worked in the Trump administration, who said this election was legitimate, that the Republican slate of candidates this this fall insurrectionists, freaks, weirdos, really, really extreme.
00:01:51.780 The most extreme slate of candidates in American history.
00:01:56.280 Yeah. And some of those in Arizona, not just casual election deniers.
00:01:59.560 Mark Fincham, the nominee to be secretary of state, was at the Capitol on January 6th.
00:02:03.600 He was at the Stop the Steal rally. Carrie Lake, the nominee for governor, has adopted the language of election denial.
00:02:10.220 She was a different person, of course, a couple of years ago when she's supported Obama supporter.
00:02:14.860 Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
00:02:16.600 But she now says, yes, I have evidence that the 2020 election was rigged, except I'm not going to share it with you because you're in the fake news.
00:02:25.640 So she keeps saying she's got evidence but won't share it.
00:02:27.940 But that's sort of beside the point, because now the four of them are on the doorstep.
00:02:32.060 They're one step away, one election away in Arizona from being in positions of real power where they could have, if they'd been in place in 2020,
00:02:40.340 they could have done something to change the outcome of the 2020 election.
00:02:44.080 They could have flipped votes.
00:02:45.680 Draw a direct line to even some of the politicians we're seeing now in Arizona.
00:02:50.760 Carrie Lake just cravenly lying about the contours of our democracy and how to behave in it.
00:03:00.180 If you want to be in a democracy, pushing lies, pushing conspiracy theories, hurting people.
00:03:09.280 Just loving, hurting people.
00:03:11.940 It is repulsive.
00:03:13.400 Because it's money.
00:03:14.620 Disgusting.
00:03:15.200 It's money and it wins votes for hope and change.
00:03:19.060 Carrie, you know, hope and change.
00:03:21.820 Carrie decided to to adopt Donald Trump's lies because hope and change.
00:03:28.140 Carrie got tired of being an Obama supporter and thought her best chance of getting elected would be to stop being hope and change.
00:03:34.560 Carrie and start being stolen election.
00:03:36.840 Carrie.
00:03:37.100 And, you know, it worked in the primary process and Carrie, but but perhaps the rapists, Carrie, perhaps these lies will will will will be called.
00:03:48.600 Thanks, Meek.
00:03:49.100 It could not be any higher.
00:03:51.220 It couldn't be any higher, especially in these races where you have election deniers who are running.
00:03:58.360 Is it an overstatement?
00:03:59.840 I don't know.
00:04:00.400 I mean, I guess our viewers can decide whether it's an overstatement to say to say that our form of American democracy is at risk if we start electing people who deny election results when their side loses.
00:04:15.740 Yeah, that's where we are.
00:04:16.960 So you don't want to overstate it.
00:04:19.340 You don't want to be hyperbolic.
00:04:21.640 But but it's dangerous.
00:04:22.940 But but but yeah, I so much is at stake this fall when you have these people who are insurrectionists or who supported the insurrectionists or, you know, you've got the Republican gubernatorial candidate in Pennsylvania who showed up on January the 6th.
00:04:40.360 And and again, talks the language of insurrection that talks to the language of election denial.
00:04:47.160 It's it's anti-democratic and it's not American.
00:04:50.780 OK, welcome.
00:04:54.900 We're live at CPAC.
00:04:56.420 You're in the war room.
00:04:57.680 We have the winner of the Republican primary, the associate.
00:05:02.180 By the way, did the Arizona voters make the right choice?
00:05:14.800 Oh, my gosh, this is a me.
00:05:16.800 First of all, we need Mika needs help and she needs help fast.
00:05:21.260 Yeah.
00:05:21.560 No, I want to I want to talk about I want to talk about the over the top rhetoric of MSNBC, because this is on the first morning and flew in the middle of the night.
00:05:30.480 They just announced an Associated Press just called this.
00:05:33.700 They just announced it.
00:05:34.540 And you see the opening barrage of what they're going to do.
00:05:38.180 Not talking about issues, not talking about the state of Arizona, none of it.
00:05:41.760 It's Cary Lake and all the negative stuff they said about you.
00:05:44.440 I want to give you a platform to particularly Mika and Joe, given your what, 20, 25 years as a professional in this industry.
00:05:51.780 I mean, I've never seen anything like that on TV.
00:05:56.560 I don't watch them and I don't think most Americans do because they are the ones who are unhinged.
00:06:02.440 Most Americans are out there actually trying to make ends meet.
00:06:06.060 Most Americans are out there trying to put food on the table for their kiddos.
00:06:09.220 Most Americans are out there trying to make sure their kids are safe and healthy.
00:06:13.320 And Mika and what's her husband's name?
00:06:17.000 Joe.
00:06:17.580 Oh, Joe.
00:06:17.980 By the way.
00:06:19.620 Sorry.
00:06:20.300 I really don't watch that.
00:06:21.560 By the way, shouldn't it be called Morning Mika?
00:06:23.700 Why is it even, why is she subservient to Joe?
00:06:26.000 She seems to do most of the talking, so maybe it should.
00:06:28.620 She carries the load in the show.
00:06:30.060 You agree?
00:06:31.160 I agree she does.
00:06:32.680 Why is she so triggered by you?
00:06:35.160 I think they're triggered because they have spent the last, what, seven years attacking President Trump and tearing him apart.
00:06:42.360 And they've done a pretty good job because they've turned many Americans against him, even though we should be for him because he brought all these great policies and helped our country so much.
00:06:51.640 And they're looking at me saying, oh, my gosh, how can we tear her down?
00:06:55.580 It's going to be harder because Americans are awake.
00:06:59.140 And, you know, go ahead, tear me down.
00:07:00.840 That's fine, Mika.
00:07:01.640 Go for it.
00:07:02.700 I don't care what you say because I care about Arizona.
00:07:05.920 And I'm in this.
00:07:07.320 I walked away from media because I'm in this to help save our state.
00:07:12.360 And they're going to have a real hard time tearing me down.
00:07:14.680 I don't even know who they were just describing when they were going off like that because they obviously don't know me or what I'm about.
00:07:20.860 Carrie Lake stands for the people of Arizona, right?
00:07:25.240 Carrie Lake's going to fight for Arizona, correct?
00:07:28.140 Absolutely.
00:07:29.860 Hey, I'm only here because of the people of Arizona.
00:07:32.280 Let's talk about that.
00:07:33.260 $30 million.
00:07:33.920 I think your opponent spent, I don't know, 18 or 20 of her own money.
00:07:37.400 I heard outside groups in for another 8 or 10.
00:07:39.760 $30 million and really nothing about policy or issues.
00:07:44.500 All the politics of personal destruction.
00:07:46.800 You were able from the deplorables and from the Trump movement and MAGA.
00:07:51.300 Great.
00:07:51.740 But $3, $3.5 million.
00:07:53.100 You're outspent 10 to 1.
00:07:54.680 All the politics of personal destruction.
00:07:56.400 What would you like to say to the mainstream media about how you've come through that and what you've learned about the people of Arizona and yourself?
00:08:03.460 What I've learned is that I don't think, A, you can buy an election anymore because too many people are awake.
00:08:09.620 They know what's going on.
00:08:11.360 And we are going to be leading Arizona into its best days ahead.
00:08:15.640 And we don't care if the media is attacking us because they're not watching them, Steve.
00:08:19.560 I mean, I got here, I got to this moment with the help of the people and with the help of alternative media like Steve Bannon in the war room.
00:08:28.340 Fox didn't have me on.
00:08:29.660 They finally had me on in the last month of this and it was for a hit piece.
00:08:33.960 But they had you on for a gotcha interview, which you showed how professional you were because you turned the tables back on.
00:08:38.780 So we got here with podcasts.
00:08:41.420 Fox News has not had you, only had you on one time in the last seven months?
00:08:44.980 On prime time.
00:08:46.240 God bless Maria.
00:08:47.340 She's had me on a couple of times on her Sunday morning show.
00:08:49.880 But we and we've reached out to all of them, said, hey, we want to come on, talk about our issues.
00:08:54.820 We're number one in the polls.
00:08:56.100 We've been number one since day one and never had us.
00:08:59.660 By the historic nature of this, as they continue to count, as they continue to count the votes, is that you've won every county in Arizona.
00:09:07.020 Is that is that going to be official now?
00:09:08.860 Yes, we will.
00:09:09.740 We went one 15 counties.
00:09:11.320 But what's so cool about it, Maricopa County is, of course, the big county.
00:09:14.700 And it's gets all the attention.
00:09:18.240 And so the rest of Arizona has been left out, feeling left out.
00:09:21.600 They have been left out.
00:09:23.180 And we went all over this state and we won.
00:09:26.420 We won.
00:09:26.980 We were declared the winner as when we looked at our numbers, obviously, without winning Maricopa County.
00:09:32.420 Now, since the votes are finally being counted in Maricopa County, I think we're going to win that really well.
00:09:37.340 I believe we will win by eight to ten points by the time it's all set and done.
00:09:41.380 You think you're projecting an eight to ten point victory?
00:09:43.640 I think so.
00:09:44.280 Yeah.
00:09:45.100 These these numbers are going for us in a big way.
00:09:49.520 This is what you have to walk people through with literally almost no money.
00:09:54.180 No media, because people don't understand the mainstream media in in Phoenix and in Arizona really wouldn't have really wouldn't cover you any anyway.
00:10:01.760 Unless it was a hit.
00:10:02.560 Unless it was a hit piece.
00:10:03.620 The Republic, the big newspaper, really, you submitted a couple of op eds they wouldn't do, correct?
00:10:08.460 They wouldn't take our op ed with our amazing policy to secure the border unless we removed the word invasion.
00:10:15.980 And I said, we're not going to remove the word invasion because that's what it is.
00:10:20.560 You said it was an invasion and they came back on a on a thought piece of yours is that you have to remove a word.
00:10:26.000 Yeah, it would not air in their paper unless we took the word invasion out.
00:10:29.820 Isn't that amazing?
00:10:30.500 This is why it's known as the Arizona repugnant, not the Arizona Republic.
00:10:35.520 How did then was a travel in state?
00:10:38.120 I mean, how did you win a sweeping victory?
00:10:40.660 Outspent 10 to one with no legacy media coverage, which is that free media you need.
00:10:46.540 How did you do it?
00:10:47.980 We just started campaigning across the state.
00:10:50.000 When I ran for office, the people asked me to run.
00:10:52.800 I didn't even know how to run for office.
00:10:54.480 I called the Arizona Republican office at AZGOP and I said, how do you run for office?
00:10:59.720 True story.
00:11:00.600 And we cobbled together a team.
00:11:02.300 I have friends who I've known for decades involved in the team, people from church.
00:11:07.740 I mean, we literally brought in a group of outsiders to politics and said, we're going to save Arizona.
00:11:12.920 Everybody new to the game.
00:11:14.340 Our opponent, who already is married to a billionaire, God bless her, I mean, good for her, they hired up all of the fundraisers so we had no fundraisers.
00:11:23.660 And they figured they would prevent us from being able to even get started.
00:11:27.660 So I said, forget it.
00:11:28.600 We don't worry about the fundraisers.
00:11:29.840 Let's go campaign across the state.
00:11:31.340 What did President Trump see in you, since you're from the media, but you're new to this, you've got a team that's relatively inexperienced, although real fighters.
00:11:41.640 What did Trump see in you, and particularly early on, that led to the endorsement?
00:11:46.380 Well, it was about a year ago that he came to town.
00:11:48.320 We had an election integrity rally that Turning Point Action put on.
00:11:53.200 And all of the candidates were invited to speak.
00:11:56.320 All of the Republican candidates were invited to speak.
00:11:58.620 We all spoke, and I got a rousing ovation, and the crowd was just really warm and welcoming to me, because they've known me for 27 years as I've covered Arizona.
00:12:08.600 Then when the president showed up and introduced each and every one of us, I mean, the doors just kind of blew off the place when he said my name.
00:12:15.020 And I think at that moment, the president went, something's going on here.
00:12:19.220 Who is this?
00:12:20.000 By the way, I remember he was caught on media, too.
00:12:22.400 He goes, wow.
00:12:23.120 Remember, he kind of stepped back.
00:12:24.400 Yes, he did.
00:12:25.040 He did.
00:12:25.540 He stepped back.
00:12:26.140 He let the applause go on.
00:12:29.060 And I heard from one of his people that he walked off the stage and said, who is that Carrie Lake?
00:12:33.720 But I had interviewed him twice as a journalist.
00:12:36.740 He gave me two exclusive interviews because he knew he could trust me.
00:12:40.560 I wasn't out to get him.
00:12:41.840 I was out to be fair with him.
00:12:43.520 And I think that's all we want is just parity, fairness.
00:12:47.920 What was the decision to leave media and actually get in politics?
00:12:51.040 That's a huge step.
00:12:52.200 Particularly, you were at the top of your game.
00:12:53.620 I mean, Phoenix is one of the most important media markets in the country.
00:12:57.000 You were the top star.
00:12:58.840 Why would you walk away from something like that to get into, as you've seen, the politics
00:13:03.180 of personal destruction?
00:13:04.540 Oh, it is bad, isn't it?
00:13:05.620 It is the swamp.
00:13:06.840 The swamp is the perfect way to describe it, as President Trump called it.
00:13:10.320 You know, during COVID, I think a lot of us had a big wake up call.
00:13:13.700 And we said, what's really going on here?
00:13:15.140 We're watching Fauci try to destroy our lives.
00:13:17.660 We're watching our governors try to destroy our lives and our businesses.
00:13:20.740 We're watching our kids get masked and we're not getting the straight scoop.
00:13:25.440 You know, I've got a good BS meter.
00:13:27.040 I'm from the Midwest.
00:13:27.960 I was born with that.
00:13:29.440 And it just wasn't making sense.
00:13:30.780 Iowa, right?
00:13:31.200 Yes.
00:13:31.760 Iowa farm girl.
00:13:32.980 I'm from Iowa.
00:13:33.780 Not a farm girl, but I grew up in the country near farmers.
00:13:37.580 And, you know, like everybody else, it just wasn't making sense.
00:13:40.140 There was no interest by the media to do stories on early treatments that might help
00:13:43.840 to get, you know, our elderly parents out of their homes so they could interact again
00:13:48.400 with family and I just started to realize that the media was trying to divide people
00:13:52.660 and trying to make the situation worse rather than better.
00:13:56.000 And then, of course, the election happened, the early call and no interest.
00:14:00.500 Did that disturb you when you saw that?
00:14:02.160 Oh, I was on the air when I when someone got in my ear and said, Fox just called it.
00:14:06.220 I said, whoa, what the heck's going on?
00:14:08.320 And you know, Arizona, you knew that that was an early call.
00:14:12.040 It was really early.
00:14:13.120 People were still in line voting.
00:14:14.960 And it's funny.
00:14:15.760 They couldn't call my race, even though we knew we were going to win.
00:14:19.120 We had all the stats.
00:14:20.640 If you if you looked at stats and numbers, you knew we were going to win.
00:14:23.620 But they waited and waited and waited to call our race.
00:14:25.640 But they were very quick to call the race against President Trump.
00:14:28.600 Can you hold through the break?
00:14:29.640 Yes.
00:14:29.780 Can we get to the next segment?
00:14:31.020 Can we have a round for Carrie Lake to go off?
00:14:35.420 Carrie Lake, the winner in the Republican primary historic.
00:14:39.360 We're going to take a short commercial break.
00:14:40.700 We'll be back in the war room in just a moment.
00:14:42.100 You know, it's never good when your nation's supposed authority on economic policy completely misses the flashing red lights of impending inflation.
00:15:09.440 Now, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has finally admitted, quote,
00:15:14.640 There's been an unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices and supply bottlenecks that affected our economy badly that I didn't at the time fully understand.
00:15:27.900 End quote.
00:15:28.800 You know who understands the real threat of inflation?

00:16:34.280 We've got the winner of the Arizona primary for Governor, Carrie Lake, the Republican nominee for governor in Arizona.
00:16:41.180 Carrie, tough fight, tough fight.
00:16:43.180 Walk us through any closing thoughts on what you just went through, because we've got to start looking forward.
00:16:47.940 Talk to us about anything, about the team, President Trump, the people of Arizona, what you learned about yourself.
00:16:54.280 I'm tougher than I even thought, and I'm tough.
00:16:57.340 But I had a great team.
00:16:58.400 What do you mean by that?
00:16:58.800 You are very tough.
00:16:59.600 I grew up, I'm the youngest of nine children.
00:17:01.760 We grew up, we didn't have a lot as far as means, but we had love, and my parents taught us how to work hard.
00:17:07.580 We had to work for everything.
00:17:09.000 And that's the kind of work ethic I brought to this.
00:17:11.260 I don't think there was anybody in this country who worked as hard as we did and our team.
00:17:15.760 We crisscrossed the state.
00:17:16.960 I started doing four and five events a day or meetings and, you know, in-home meetings, that kind of thing, where we'd gather people together like this.
00:17:25.580 And I thought that was normal.
00:17:27.000 Someone said, Carrie, that's what you do in the last week.
00:17:29.720 So we just kept that momentum, and we kept that energy the entire time.
00:17:33.580 A team of people who love Arizona.
00:17:35.580 This is not my victory.
00:17:37.180 It is Arizona's victory.
00:17:38.360 This is truly the Republican Party is the party of we, the people.
00:17:42.280 Going forward, we, the people, are the Republican Party.
00:17:46.260 And I welcome any Democrat or independent who's tired of what's going on in this world, who's tired of the high gas prices, who is struggling to make ends meet, who's worried about crime, who wants to see our borders secure, and who doesn't want their kids getting their hands on fentanyl.
00:18:01.060 I welcome you in to this Republican Party.
00:18:03.980 We want your vote, but more importantly, we want your support as we move forward to save Arizona.
00:18:09.240 And I think when we save Arizona, we save our republic.
00:18:12.040 Amen.
00:18:12.460 Talk to me about, as Governor Lake, what are the two or three things that are top of your priority?
00:18:18.380 What do you feel has to happen to take Arizona to the next level?
00:18:22.460 For starters, we have to secure that border.
00:18:24.720 We have completely let it go.
00:18:26.100 Joe Biden obviously came in and tore back a wonderful policy that President Trump had in place.
00:18:30.360 And we need to get back to that kind of a policy on the border.
00:18:33.960 We're going to finish President Trump's wall on day one.
00:18:36.380 We're going to call it what it is.
00:18:37.400 We're issuing a declaration of invasion.
00:18:39.260 We're going to get our Arizona national budget.
00:18:40.080 You're going to stick with invasion.
00:18:41.180 You're not backing off at all.
00:18:42.280 You're saying, hey, as Governor Lake, it's an invasion.
00:18:44.580 I'm going to stop it.
00:18:45.520 You're not going to happy talk this.
00:18:46.720 We've got to call it what it is.
00:18:48.780 We've got to call it what it is.
00:18:50.240 Look at the video.
00:18:51.600 Go to the border.
00:18:52.540 I encourage you.
00:18:53.520 Take a look at what's happening on our border.
00:18:55.760 While we're compassionate people, we can't take on the world's poor and the world's troubles.
00:18:59.520 We have to start taking on and caring for the people of Arizona and this country.
00:19:04.040 So we're going to take on our border and we're going to secure it.
00:19:06.600 We're going to do a reform of our elections because we just saw this last few days what's going on.
00:19:12.700 People in Pinell County, Arizona, showed up to vote one hour into the polls being open.
00:19:18.540 They were out of Republican ballots and they were turned away, many of them.
00:19:22.760 How could that possibly happen?
00:19:24.120 Particularly, this was not like it didn't sneak up on Arizona.
00:19:27.140 This was in the world media, all over the world, BBC, NHK, the Times of London, the Guardian, the Financial Times.
00:19:33.880 Everybody focused on the election in Arizona.
00:19:36.000 How did Katie Hobbs and the election officials of that state, how did it all collapse?
00:19:40.120 Just complete incompetence.
00:19:41.640 I mean, we've seen it before.
00:19:43.260 This isn't the first election that was botched and full of issues.
00:19:47.880 And we're going to deal with those issues.
00:19:50.540 Democrats want this.
00:19:51.740 Independents want it.
00:19:52.740 And so do Republicans.
00:19:53.700 If you look at polling on what people care about, they care about our elections.
00:20:00.100 And this is everybody.
00:20:01.520 Nobody wants to show up at the polling place and be told there's no ballots for you.
00:20:05.920 By the way, whether you're a Democrat, Independent or Republican, it doesn't matter, right?
00:20:09.500 It's got to be right for everybody.
00:20:10.720 A lot of the independents were turned away.
00:20:12.560 They wanted the Republican ballot.
00:20:14.020 They ran out of Republican ballots one hour into voting on Election Day.
00:20:18.380 So we just need to make sure.
00:20:19.300 You're going to change it with Fincham, your team is going to change that.
00:20:23.300 We're going to do it.
00:20:24.040 And, you know, this is why America First candidates won.
00:20:27.180 We're talking about the issues that Arizona cares about.
00:20:29.540 I'm out there every day talking to Arizonans.
00:20:32.080 Mika is not out there talking to Arizonans.
00:20:35.100 She's probably not talking to many Americans.
00:20:37.440 I know the issues that people are worried about and concerned about.
00:20:40.860 And we can solve these problems.
00:20:43.260 America First, America First policies will help us get through these problems.
00:20:47.300 We saw it with President Trump.
00:20:49.640 And I want to send, I don't know if he's watching, but a big thank you to President Trump.
00:20:53.120 He supported me early.
00:20:54.640 He endorsed me early.
00:20:56.120 People love President Trump.
00:20:58.000 We miss him and we miss his policies most of all.
00:21:01.280 And so it's his policies that we were riding high.
00:21:04.020 Remember just a few years ago?
00:21:05.800 We were riding high.
00:21:06.680 At 19, the best economy we've ever had, particularly working class people, Hispanics.
00:21:10.200 The Hispanic community seems to be quickly coming over to the Republican Party, to MAGA, to these policies that have worked for them.
00:21:18.560 How does that play into your border security?
00:21:21.320 It seems to me the Hispanic working class, particularly in Arizona, this is something that protects them.
00:21:26.460 This is something to make sure we're not flooded with low-cost labor.
00:21:30.620 So walk us through.
00:21:31.540 What's your reach out to the Hispanic community?
00:21:33.880 First of all, the Republican Party is such a natural fit for the Latino community because they're all about faith, family, hard work, entrepreneurship.
00:21:43.480 When we have a healthy economy and we have a safe state, it's good for all Arizonans.
00:21:47.520 I don't care what your background is.
00:21:48.940 And that's why they like our policies.
00:21:50.600 That's why they like President Trump's policies.
00:21:53.620 And we're going to continue along those lines.
00:21:55.460 When we have a state where your business is healthy, where your children are healthy, where you can have your church open, where you can have your business open without the government interfering, then we're in a better place.
00:22:06.700 And I think we're going to see more and more people who are Hispanic coming over to the Republican Party.
00:22:11.440 We've already been seeing that.
00:22:12.960 We were winning in polling with every group of people.
00:22:16.320 We were winning in polling.
00:22:17.320 They want what America First has to offer.
00:22:20.060 When you talked on the campaign trail, one thing I noticed, you make the family the center of your policies, right?
00:22:25.300 Walk us through that, and particularly to the degree that your faith has helped you focus on that and make it a centerpiece of your policies.
00:22:32.100 Well, I'm truly here because of God.
00:22:34.520 I mean, when I walked away from my career, I was afraid.
00:22:37.300 I walked away from a massive paycheck, everything I knew.
00:22:40.400 And I really said to God, I am handing my life completely, 100% part to you.
00:22:45.680 So you prayed about this a lot before you made that move?
00:22:47.760 I did. I was afraid.
00:22:49.040 I mean, can you imagine walking away from everything into the great unknown?
00:22:52.160 How will we feed our family?
00:22:53.560 And I'm telling you, when you turn your life over to God, amazing thing.
00:22:57.160 Did you have an inkling of how nasty and brutal personally it was going to be when you were trying to thinking about that and praying?
00:23:03.880 No, I didn't think the media would be so awful.
00:23:06.880 I mean, I worked in the media.
00:23:08.040 I figured that they might cover this as a pretty cool story.
00:23:10.900 Wow, somebody walks away and look it.
00:23:12.980 They're not part of the political scene, and they get into politics.
00:23:16.920 And we were up against some behemoths.
00:23:19.780 We were up against the McCain consultants, high-priced McCain consultants with 30 and 40 years of experience in their firm, and we beat them.
00:23:29.340 Their heads are still spinning in how we did it.
00:23:31.820 But again, it's worth the fight.
00:23:34.480 If we can't handle a few hits and punches, then who are we?
00:23:39.320 This is the time to stand up.
00:23:40.900 This is the time to step forward, speak out.
00:23:43.940 And we have to stop caring what the media and the radicals on the left say about us.
00:23:49.820 If we get so worried about that, we'll lose our country.
00:23:52.300 And I think the moms and dads of the world are stepping up and saying, not so fast.
00:23:56.480 We must leave a better country for our kids.
00:23:58.580 You have the border issue.
00:23:59.900 You have the families.
00:24:01.560 Talk about the economy.
00:24:02.600 Particularly talk about the economy to the middle class and the working class in Arizona.
00:24:06.880 A governor late.
00:24:08.380 What are you going to do to thwart what Biden has done and his regime has done to the American economy?
00:24:13.980 It's going to be hard because inflation is going up at such a fast clip right now.
00:24:18.120 We're going to do everything we can to lower taxes, sales tax, property tax, anything we can do there.
00:24:24.100 But again, we're in for a tough road.
00:24:26.880 When we put people like Biden in office, it is destructive to every economy.
00:24:32.300 It's destructive to every family.
00:24:33.940 So we're going to work to bring down taxes and fees and anything we can to help in any way possible.
00:24:39.120 And then just create a really good environment for jobs and a really good environment for business.
00:24:44.260 We have a lot of jobs in Arizona.
00:24:45.760 We just need to get people trained for those jobs.
00:24:48.620 And that's why our education policy calls for a dual-track education.
00:24:52.620 After 10th grade, you decide if you want to take the college route or if you want to get training right there in high school.
00:24:57.440 Let's talk about that.
00:24:58.280 You don't need to go to college.
00:24:59.600 I mean, under President Trump in 19, blue-collar workers did white-collar work as far as wage growth.
00:25:06.680 Non-college graduates were higher than college graduates.
00:25:09.620 That's the Trump economy.
00:25:11.080 Do you think you can help rebuild that in Arizona?
00:25:13.600 We're going to.
00:25:14.340 We're going to.
00:25:14.980 And it has to start with our education.
00:25:17.420 The purpose of educating our kids is to prepare them for the future and for the jobs that are out there so that they can be self-sufficient.
00:25:24.380 And we're not doing a good job of that, but we're going to start doing a good job.
00:25:27.560 And that's after 10th grade.
00:25:29.120 Kids can decide if they want to go and get trade skill training, if they want to get certification, vocational skills,
00:25:35.200 so that right out of high school they're ready for these jobs, high-paying jobs.
00:25:38.620 I was at Vail School District in Southern Arizona.
00:25:42.560 They have a welding program.
00:25:43.840 They have culinary arts.
00:25:45.040 They're doing this in the high school.
00:25:46.740 Working with your hands right now.
00:25:48.400 Yeah.
00:25:48.580 You can really punch your ticket.
00:25:50.700 Every kid in their welding program has a job offer when they graduate high school making between $70,000 and $100,000 with full benefits.
00:25:58.200 And they have zero college debt.
00:26:01.080 That is what we need to do to get our economy going and to help people with Joe Biden's economy.
00:26:05.620 When you talk about these people, you talk about working-class people, the scourge of fentanyl, opioids, drugs, what is Governor Lake going to do about that?
00:26:12.220 Well, we're going to secure the border and take on the cartels.
00:26:14.880 And they're going to know that cartels are not welcome.
00:26:17.800 They're not running the show in Arizona anymore.
00:26:19.860 They're going to have to find access through another state.
00:26:22.520 And eventually, these other states will get the message that you have to be tough on the border.
00:26:27.720 We have to push back against these narco-terrorists.
00:26:31.300 It's exactly what they are.
00:26:32.620 This is a weapon of mass destruction.
00:26:34.800 It's killing more than 100,000 people a year.
00:26:37.620 And these are young people.
00:26:39.060 And we're not going to allow Arizona.
00:26:40.740 And you're going to stop.
00:26:41.260 You're committed to stop that.
00:26:42.800 Absolutely.
00:26:43.460 I just talked to a dad about a week and a half ago.
00:26:46.000 His 17-year-old son died.
00:26:47.640 Took a pill that was laced with fentanyl.
00:26:49.800 And we can't lose our young people.
00:26:52.320 We can't lose them to this poisoning that's happening.
00:26:55.500 Your grassroots campaign, give people how they now find out on your run, actually, for the governorship.
00:27:00.360 And then Mika and the MSMEC crew can have an easy time to follow you.
00:27:04.180 Mika, if you want to see where I stand on the issues, because that's what this is about, issues.
00:27:08.260 We want to solve problems for Americans.
00:27:10.620 Go to my website, karylake.com.
00:27:12.580 K-A-R-I-L-A-K-E dot com.
00:27:15.500 And if you want to make a donation while you're there, Mika or anybody else, I would appreciate it.
00:27:20.880 We had a brutal primary.
00:27:24.300 We spent a lot of money, and we could use some help replenishing the coffers.
00:27:29.120 Gary Lake.
00:27:29.880 Thank you so much.
00:27:38.080 Thank you so much.
00:27:38.260 Arizona.
00:27:39.380 Gary! Gary! Gary! Gary! Gary! Gary! Gary!
00:27:43.240 Thank you. Oh, my gosh.
00:27:45.820 Thank you to the War Room.
00:27:47.260 You guys are doing so much for this country. Thank you.
00:27:50.080 You are. You've just done an amazing job.
00:27:52.920 It's good luck. It's going to be a grassroots campaign.
00:27:55.580 It starts right here, right now.
00:27:57.380 Kary Lake's the nominee.
00:27:59.140 Forward to 8 November.
00:28:00.760 We'll be back and take a short commercial break.
00:28:02.460 We have one more shout-out for Kary.
00:28:03.720 Thank you.
00:28:05.720 Thank you.
00:28:11.380 Because we're taking down the CCP.
00:28:15.440 Spread the word all through Hong Kong.
00:28:17.740 We will fight till they're all gone.
00:28:20.280 We rejoice when there's no more.
00:28:22.180 Let's take down the CCP.
00:28:24.380 Americans are discovering that if we want to change this nation, we have to change the way the marketplace works.
00:28:29.500 Look, woke corporations are seeking to divide us.
00:28:31.600 Big banks are freezing the accounts of people who disagree with their political views.
00:28:36.420 And our supply chain is dependent upon countries that actively work against our values, like the Chinese Communist Party.
00:28:43.320 It's time for a change.
00:28:45.020 And that change starts with you and your wallet.
00:28:47.200 That's why I'm proud to partner with Public SQ, the largest network of patriotic, freedom-loving businesses and consumers our nation has ever seen.

00:29:44.380 Take action.
00:29:46.700 Do this today.
00:29:49.680 Okay, welcome back.
00:29:50.920 We're live at CPAC.
00:29:52.660 We've been able to Shanghai the morning crowd.
00:29:54.900 We've got Ed Henry over here.
00:29:56.100 Ed, hang on one second.
00:29:57.100 Jane, give us some award room posse folks.
00:29:59.720 I'm here with Susan, Susan.
00:30:01.220 What are you doing at CPAC today?
00:30:03.260 CPAC is one of the best organizations.
00:30:05.520 I got my introduction into politics in the 7th District of Virginia,
00:30:09.820 and that's where I met Mercedes, and they do great work.
00:30:14.080 They recruit young people, and CPAC is a great organization with all the right values.
00:30:18.880 Corey, what about you?
00:30:19.820 What's bringing you to CPAC today?
00:30:21.540 Oh, man, look at this group.
00:30:22.440 Look at these people.
00:30:23.200 This is awesome.
00:30:24.480 I mean, we've got Carrie Lake, the new governor of Arizona.
00:30:27.360 Carrie Lake just stopped by.
00:30:28.720 All right.
00:30:28.980 Mr. Steve Bannon, greatest in the world.
00:30:31.280 We love you guys.
00:30:32.060 Without you guys, we wouldn't be here.
00:30:33.560 Trust me.
00:30:33.880 Jane, hang on for a second.
00:30:34.640 Thank you.
00:30:34.880 We'll go back to Ed, and then we'll come right back to the war room posse.
00:30:37.420 Thank you, guys.
00:30:38.500 Good to see you.
00:30:39.280 Okay, walk through.
00:30:40.280 We just had Carrie Lake here.
00:30:41.620 Yeah.
00:30:41.780 You've been doing this for a long time.
00:30:43.260 Put in perspective this Arizona situation.
00:30:46.120 We started with a five-minute cold open for Morning Mika.
00:30:51.300 Dude, it was so over the top.
00:30:54.000 I mean, that's what I told Carrie coming down here.
00:30:55.580 I said, we're going to show you this.
00:30:56.400 I miss it.
00:30:56.820 Are they freaking out?
00:30:57.960 Be honest.
00:30:58.340 It's a full meltdown.
00:30:59.180 Yeah.
00:30:59.580 You know, they called her a, I think they called her a bill of rights.
00:31:03.040 Mika said, you're a bill of rights rapist.
00:31:05.440 Right?
00:31:05.820 And that was not even the worst.
00:31:07.380 They go on, these are all insurrectionists.
00:31:09.040 They showed you the country's going in the wrong direction.
00:31:11.200 Because Carrie Lake has guts, and she tells it like it is.
00:31:14.460 And I was in the mainstream media for a long time, but now at Real America's Voice, I got
00:31:17.740 a new perspective on things.
00:31:18.940 What do you mean?
00:31:19.420 I was off the field for a little while.
00:31:21.020 And I watched, and it was embarrassing to watch my colleagues at Fox and elsewhere, old
00:31:25.720 colleagues, the way they were sycophantic towards the mainstream.
00:31:29.960 Fox trying to cozy up to Biden, trying to off Trump on election night.
00:31:35.600 That's what they tried to do.
00:31:36.760 You saw that.
00:31:37.680 I saw that from the outside.
00:31:38.980 I was fired by Fox before that.
00:31:40.620 Yeah, but hang on a second.
00:31:41.460 I want to go back to that.
00:31:42.840 Talk to me about that call on that night.
00:31:45.740 Who was running the decision desk?
00:31:48.740 Bill Salmon, who was a never-Trumper, right?
00:31:51.920 And he was a news head in Washington.
00:31:53.640 In Washington.
00:31:54.160 And then he ran the decision desk with Arnon, who was like a Hillary Clinton guy, right?
00:31:58.560 Everyone can look this up.
00:31:59.540 And then beyond that, Chris Steierwald, who testified one of the first days at the January
00:32:04.540 6th series.
00:32:05.440 I like him personally.
00:32:06.420 I like Bill Salmon.
00:32:07.500 But Chris Steierwald, never Trumper.
00:32:10.140 Couldn't stand Trump.
00:32:11.020 When I was behind the scenes at Fox in the early part of 2020, they could not stand Donald
00:32:15.900 Trump.
00:32:16.140 And Suzanne Scott at the top, the CEO, said to people, very close to her, we have to find
00:32:22.980 a way out of this.
00:32:23.680 We're not following the tweets anymore.
00:32:25.180 We can't stand this guy.
00:32:26.340 We're moving away from Trump.
00:32:27.940 I was fired in July 2020.
00:32:30.020 But in the summer-
00:32:30.780 How about what?
00:32:30.900 You were like the White House correspondent.
00:32:32.480 White House, and then I was anchoring.
00:32:33.880 Right.
00:32:34.220 And then when I saw on election night was that they hand Brett Baier this thing saying,
00:32:38.540 we're calling Arizona.
00:32:39.640 Cary Lake's home state.
00:32:40.880 Nobody was calling Arizona.
00:32:42.740 CNN didn't call it for like two weeks.
00:32:45.080 How is that possible, Steve?
00:32:46.460 Impossible.
00:32:46.660 You've been in the war room literally and figured out how does Fox call-
00:32:49.280 We were doing live broadcasts, and we actually had Richard Barris, and we had the numbers
00:32:52.460 everywhere, and I go, where are they getting that number from?
00:32:54.880 What do you think happened?
00:32:56.580 What I think happened is that the Murdochs saw an opportunity to off Trump.
00:33:00.100 Here's the thing.
00:33:00.960 Arizona, we call Arizona early.
00:33:03.080 Everyone else goes on board.
00:33:04.380 Biden is going to win.
00:33:05.240 Trump can't win without Arizona, right?
00:33:06.800 And he can't step up to the mic and say, I won.
00:33:08.680 And he can't declare victory because Fox cut him off at the knees.
00:33:12.080 Now, then January 6th happened.
00:33:13.960 Fox goes all in on insurrection, right?
00:33:16.480 In between that, by the way, I would say, after the election, when they tried to off Trump,
00:33:20.580 Fox's ratings went like this.
00:33:22.300 Newsmax, Real America's Voice, people are rising.
00:33:24.460 What do they do?
00:33:25.180 They put Rudy on.
00:33:26.400 They put Sidney Powell and say, there's fraud, which they weren't telling their viewers about
00:33:31.900 on the run-up or right after.
00:33:34.560 But when the ratings went down, they went all in on the fraud.
00:33:37.720 Panicked.
00:33:38.040 You saw it.
00:33:38.600 They panicked.
00:33:39.200 Then their ratings went back up.
00:33:40.900 It stabilized, right?
00:33:41.920 So then fast forward to January 6th, they see another opportunity to off Trump.
00:33:45.800 I don't know.
00:33:46.480 You know the name.
00:33:47.280 Reporters, anchors.
00:33:48.380 This is the worst day in America.
00:33:50.020 Fast forward to January 6th hearings.
00:33:51.780 You had Brett Baer and others saying this is worse than Watergate.
00:33:54.160 Right.
00:33:54.560 Right?
00:33:54.820 You saw it.
00:33:55.240 These are facts.
00:33:56.420 Okay.
00:33:56.840 Now, fast forward to this past weekend.
00:33:58.900 By the way, with hearsay evidence.
00:34:00.500 Right?
00:34:00.760 And then last weekend, New York Times says Fox won't put Trump on anymore.
00:34:05.040 He hadn't done an interview in over 100 days.
00:34:07.340 So what did Tucker do?
00:34:08.100 I think Tucker...
00:34:08.440 Hang on a second.
00:34:09.300 I want to go to that for a second.
00:34:10.580 Trump comes back to D.C. for the first time.
00:34:12.900 He's got this new think tank.
00:34:14.240 And he comes and he literally gives one of the toughest, hardest speeches I've ever heard from Trump.
00:34:19.640 And I've heard them all.
00:34:20.660 Right?
00:34:20.860 This chaos in the cities.
00:34:22.740 Not one second of coverage on Fox.
00:34:24.760 Fox did not take it live.
00:34:25.660 But you know who they took live?
00:34:26.720 Mike Pence.
00:34:27.420 Same day.
00:34:28.080 17 minutes.
00:34:29.040 Why?
00:34:29.460 Why?
00:34:29.900 Of bromides.
00:34:31.340 It was bromides.
00:34:32.660 Not just that.
00:34:33.720 Correct me if I'm wrong.
00:34:34.440 I think they went through the break, which is a mortal sin at Fox.
00:34:39.040 Right?
00:34:39.400 You got to make money.
00:34:40.260 You got to do the break.
00:34:40.920 You do the break.
00:34:41.800 You don't blow a break at Fox.
00:34:43.040 That's all it's about is ratings and money at Fox.
00:34:45.000 That's it.
00:34:45.660 Seriously.
00:34:46.080 And I filed a lawsuit against them.
00:34:47.720 And we'll work it out.
00:34:48.900 And we'll win in the end.
00:34:50.240 What's the difference?
00:34:50.980 Hang on.
00:34:51.500 What's the difference between Fox under Roger Ailes and Fox today?
00:34:54.660 It's night and day because from Suzanne Scott on down, there's no vision on news.
00:35:00.040 They're like, let's follow the ball where it's going.
00:35:02.640 There's no forward looking because you and I were talking on the morning show.
00:35:07.740 In the old Fox, they would have covered Carrie Lake.
00:35:11.720 Instead, they were ignoring Carrie Lake and she did not exist.
00:35:14.860 She's a Republican.
00:35:16.360 Why wasn't Fox giving her a fair hand?
00:35:18.300 And you can ask her tough questions, by the way.
00:35:20.020 By the way, and it's news.
00:35:21.420 It's news that she's on a grassroots campaign.
00:35:23.040 But they want to ignore Trump.
00:35:24.160 So then they want to ignore everyone Trump endorses.
00:35:26.960 I bet I haven't.
00:35:28.040 Other than Tucker, J.D. Vance wasn't on Fox once either during those primaries.
00:35:32.280 You had Vance on.
00:35:33.340 Blake Masters wasn't on that much.
00:35:35.740 So why is this?
00:35:37.160 Why not cover everybody fairly?
00:35:39.220 Like fair and balanced.
00:35:40.460 That's what Fox was built on.
00:35:41.600 So what do you predict?
00:35:43.880 Now we're in this tough, these tough.
00:35:45.680 You got Tudor Dixon from formerly Real America's Voice, a rising rock star.
00:35:49.880 You have Carrie Lake.
00:35:50.780 You have some of the most presentable people that can reach out.
00:35:54.280 They're talking about policies that two-thirds of the American people.
00:35:57.880 What happens, do you think, in the campaign?
00:35:59.700 And then talk to me about what you think the mainstream media coverage.
00:36:01.700 You saw Morning Meeker this morning.
00:36:04.040 It's pure character assassination.
00:36:06.660 Because they're worried that some of these candidates like Carrie Lake will actually win in the general election.
00:36:13.460 Because, as you say, Carrie Lake's position is not just where mainstream America is.
00:36:19.880 It's where the darn Biden administration is now on the border.
00:36:23.540 They've ignored the border for over a year and a half.
00:36:26.120 And Steve, explain this to me.
00:36:27.340 You're inside the White House.
00:36:29.160 They said that building the wall was racist.
00:36:31.560 Yes.
00:36:31.820 And now they're building a wall in California and Arizona.
00:36:34.260 How many more states are going to build the wall in?
00:36:35.940 And if I sound crazy, you know what?
00:36:37.660 I'm sick and tired of the BS I see in the mainstream media.
00:36:41.100 They said the wall was racist, okay?
00:36:43.460 Now, if Biden builds it, Jean-Pierre says at the podium, we're trying to save lives.
00:36:48.880 Wasn't that what?
00:36:49.560 That's what she said.
00:36:50.500 That's a quote.
00:36:51.320 Right?
00:36:52.120 Okay.
00:36:52.840 So, Trump was crazy when he came down the escalator.
00:36:55.600 But now the wall is the greatest idea ever.
00:36:57.560 Because it is an invasion, as you said.
00:36:59.740 And they understand the polling is going against them on this.
00:37:03.060 Yeah.
00:37:03.260 Every American understands.
00:37:04.080 It's a disaster.
00:37:04.740 And the whole Democratic Party is running from them.
00:37:07.560 But they're scared.
00:37:09.020 And Fox doesn't know what to do as well, getting back to them.
00:37:11.400 Because they help prop up Biden and say he's the winner.
00:37:14.560 Right?
00:37:15.080 And everyone knows Biden's out to lunch.
00:37:17.020 I've covered, I don't know, five, six presidents.
00:37:19.160 The guy's incoherent.
00:37:20.460 Let's call it what it is.
00:37:21.600 But Kabul is worse.
00:37:23.120 Let's talk about that.
00:37:23.940 You've been in that.
00:37:24.880 People don't realize that that press room is very small.
00:37:27.000 Yeah, I covered it 10 years.
00:37:27.960 Very cramped.
00:37:28.520 You've been in there.
00:37:29.060 Give me your assessment of how they handle the media from that podium.
00:37:35.380 Circlebox Saki was all over the map.
00:37:37.280 And I thought it will never get worse than that.
00:37:38.760 And now Jean-Pierre just doesn't answer anything.
00:37:41.240 We're doing the work, is her line a lot of times.
00:37:44.040 And work on what?
00:37:45.260 She said that the overturning.
00:37:46.820 She's got the big box.
00:37:47.480 Big binder.
00:37:48.160 She's ready.
00:37:48.640 They got the big, beautiful binder, as Trump might say.
00:37:52.220 And there's nothing in that binder.
00:37:53.720 I call her, by the way, on Getter, I call her the Zen master.
00:37:55.980 Because you ask her a question, and it comes back with, like, the sound of one hand clapping.
00:38:00.380 It's totally unrelated to anything dealing with the question itself.
00:38:04.120 Steve, they said six, eight months ago that there was no supply chain crisis.
00:38:09.120 That was a lie.
00:38:10.220 They said they solved the baby formula crisis.
00:38:12.700 There's moms in every state in this country going on local news, Democrat, Republican,
00:38:17.120 independents, saying they can't get baby formula.
00:38:19.520 This is America.
00:38:20.800 And moms can't feed their kids.
00:38:23.120 I mean, I'm not trying to be dramatic.
00:38:24.300 This is insanity.
00:38:25.740 And the media, how do you...
00:38:26.760 You're saying the gross incompetence.
00:38:28.300 Gross incompetence.
00:38:29.160 And when you ask about the White House press room, I think Peter Doocy's doing a great job.
00:38:32.780 Not just here.
00:38:33.520 Peter Doocy is challenging.
00:38:34.820 I think he's doing a great job.
00:38:36.200 Where are the other people?
00:38:37.300 Hello?
00:38:37.960 Are you awake?
00:38:39.080 I mean, why are they not asking every day?
00:38:40.840 Okay, let me read back what the president said yesterday.
00:38:44.100 Does that make any sense?
00:38:45.240 He's incoherent.
00:38:46.540 I mean, why is it?
00:38:47.660 That's not...
00:38:48.100 I know that someone's going to write this up and say that I'm saying he's seen up.
00:38:51.820 Well, he is.
00:38:52.900 They were trying to say about Trump, you know, he's got to take this mental aptitude test
00:38:57.720 because they said he was crazy.
00:38:59.360 Hey, look, Trump did what he did, okay?
00:39:01.480 He can defend his statements.
00:39:02.900 But you're going to tell me that Biden is all there?
00:39:05.500 Where's the test on him?
00:39:07.080 I covered this place for 10 years.
00:39:08.540 How is anybody looking at John Pierre in a straight face and saying, oh, yeah, he's all there?
00:39:13.300 Compare it away that the attack.
00:39:14.840 Every day, Trump would come in that room and they'd be jumping up and down or they'd be jumping on Sarah.
00:39:19.080 The latest Trump tweet, they would be...
00:39:20.880 They're standing upside down.
00:39:22.260 You were there in the White House.
00:39:23.400 What is Trump doing now?
00:39:25.000 Our hair's on fire.
00:39:26.700 And with Biden, he doesn't...
00:39:28.480 He loses his train of thought on everything.
00:39:31.120 How do you take any of that seriously?
00:39:32.440 Not say, John Pierre, seriously, is the doctor coming in today?
00:39:35.220 Are you going to Walter Reed?
00:39:36.280 Hold it, hold it, hold it.
00:39:37.140 Do you believe that Admiral Kirby is now over here?
00:39:39.660 You see Kirby taking over.
00:39:41.100 There's no doubt that they're bringing in adult supervision.
00:39:43.660 It's not just Kirby.
00:39:44.480 So they bring in Kirby to him?
00:39:45.460 So John Pierre's there, and if it's anything foreign policy, hey, Kirby, get over here, because Kirby, I've worked with him.
00:39:50.260 He's a smart guy.
00:39:50.860 He's a pro, right?
00:39:51.800 He's a pro.
00:39:52.220 And then on the economy, they got three or four people.
00:39:55.840 Healthcare, we got six experts.
00:39:57.600 Because she can't...
00:39:58.580 She's going through that binder.
00:39:59.720 You don't know what she's talking about.
00:40:01.000 You know, I mean, these are facts.
00:40:02.820 You covered it.
00:40:04.380 Why is Fauci not rolled out as much as it used to be?
00:40:07.220 You know, from a media perspective, you think that people are on to him now?
00:40:11.660 He was doing 30 interviews a day.
00:40:13.500 I think they realized that even he, they made him St. Fauci, literally.
00:40:17.400 They were doing candles at churches for him, St. Fauci.
00:40:21.680 And after a while, the guy was on this side, that side, this side.
00:40:25.220 The mandates have all, everyone's turned on.
00:40:27.540 But you know what?
00:40:28.000 The mandates still exist in some places.
00:40:30.880 We have viewers.
00:40:31.720 He has an emergency order.
00:40:33.000 Biden still has the emergency order out.
00:40:35.780 And the judge in Florida said the mandates no longer stand, but they're still pushing them.
00:40:40.380 I know people who contact us who watch Real America's Voice, whose spouses lost their jobs
00:40:45.840 because they would not get the jab.
00:40:48.300 Right.
00:40:49.060 And, you know, that's coming back to on people.
00:40:50.960 Let's walk through.
00:40:51.980 We've got about, what, 94, 95 days to Election Day.
00:40:56.220 Walk us through.
00:40:56.940 How do you think this thing evolves over the next couple of months?
00:41:00.160 You've got a bunch of Trump insurgents.
00:41:02.640 Yeah.
00:41:02.760 You've got the Republican staffers that are still obviously sore from losing this.
00:41:06.520 You've got to bring that on board.
00:41:07.840 You've got a couple of obvious disasters already in Pennsylvania with Dr. Oz and some others.
00:41:11.960 Walk us through.
00:41:12.520 Well, because I want to be honest in my reporting as always, which is that I'm saying some of the Trump side of this
00:41:17.420 and the disaster for Biden and Carrie Lake, I think, is a positive in the sense that I think she's a strong candidate.
00:41:23.240 And a Tudor Dixon.
00:41:24.140 Right.
00:41:24.380 And a Tudor in Michigan.
00:41:25.700 But not all these Trump endorsed candidates are all there, are great.
00:41:30.540 And he's going to lose some of these in the general.
00:41:32.580 And I know some people will be pissed at me.
00:41:33.880 That's the truth.
00:41:34.760 What do they have to do?
00:41:36.480 He's running a campaign for Senate in Pennsylvania from a home in New Jersey.
00:41:40.200 Does that make any sense?
00:41:41.520 He's running against Fetterman who had a stroke.
00:41:43.420 How is he winning?
00:41:44.440 Is Fetterman, I mean, Fetterman is like Weekend at Bernie's, but it seems to be working.
00:41:47.720 What did those candidates have to do, first off, to galvanize the Trump movement and then move forward to try to make their message broader?
00:41:55.000 It's forget about the BS.
00:41:56.380 Forget about the noise, morning Mika and the rest of it.
00:41:58.980 And do the bread and butter issues that you and Donald Trump have.
00:42:01.860 It's the border.
00:42:02.900 It's the darn economy.
00:42:04.520 This is what people care about.
00:42:06.400 It's what, what are you saying?
00:42:07.960 And parents' rights.
00:42:09.080 Think about Youngkin.
00:42:10.660 And I think that, I remember saying at the time in that off-year election that I bet, having covered this a long time, that Republicans, the establishment, some of the rhinos, will walk away from the parents' rights issue.
00:42:21.660 Youngkin won on it in Virginia.
00:42:23.340 But then everyone gets distracted and chases the soccer ball to something else.
00:42:27.960 Go back to the parents, as this lady said, because they're trying to jam transgender.
00:42:33.000 They're trying to jam critical race.
00:42:34.680 A radical ideology.
00:42:35.720 Radical ideas, number one.
00:42:37.460 But number two, then you've got Ray, who we talked about it this morning earlier in American Sunrise.
00:42:41.900 He's testifying as the FBI director.
00:42:44.240 And these guys are treating, the FBI is treating parents.
00:42:46.920 I'm going to get all over the laptop from hell as soon as we get rid of the domestic terrorists.
00:42:51.520 But what about the FBI?
00:42:52.560 Parents are domestic terrorists, right?
00:42:55.120 Merrick Berlin wants to throw them in jail.
00:42:57.080 What is he doing on Hunter Biden, as you say?
00:42:58.800 So this woman's right.
00:43:00.760 If the Republicans talk about the economy, the border, and parents' rights, they can't lose.
00:43:05.040 The audience is always right.
00:43:05.840 Real quickly, how do people get to the show on social media?

00:43:28.720 We have a segment on the show, Trump was right, he was right about the border, and even now Biden is admitting.
00:43:33.600 Okay, this is the great lead-in, the upbeat, sunny, but realistic lead-in for the dark specter comes.

00:47:17.180 I am joined by Jean.
00:47:18.900 Now, Jean, can you tell us what you think of Media Matters?
00:47:23.620 Oh, boy.
00:47:24.420 I think that's George Soros' outfit, and I think he's heavily involved in our elections,
00:47:30.820 and that he spent a lot of money buying off district attorneys.
00:47:34.540 By the way, Media Matters selected her yesterday to poke fun at her for her beautiful...
00:47:40.640 Did you say?
00:47:41.720 Yeah, yeah.
00:47:42.340 You were on Media Matters.
00:47:43.140 They tweeted out, oh, they brought a color graph, however.
00:47:45.760 Yes, that's what we had you on.
00:47:46.820 Can you show us more of your signs?
00:47:48.520 Show that camera right there what your signs say.
00:47:50.780 Hey, these are Steve's slogans, some of them.
00:47:54.960 Coming in hot.
00:47:58.880 Oh, they got their pom-poms on.
00:48:01.140 So, we're in the pom-poms section.
00:48:04.760 That's for you, George Soros.
00:48:06.600 And then we've got Hawaiian War Room Posse.
00:48:11.280 Thank you.
00:48:15.000 George Soros cannot beat the American people.
00:48:18.780 You're going to have to outwork them.
00:48:20.520 You're going to have to outvote the fraud and outvote the money, right?
00:48:23.740 Yes, sir.
00:48:25.520 War Room Posse.
00:48:26.500 Josh Phillips now joins us from the Epoch Times.
00:48:30.140 By the way, the single best broadsheet in the country.
00:48:33.340 What you guys have done is absolutely incredible.
00:48:35.640 The coverage of China, the Chinese Communist Party.
00:48:38.680 You guys are a platform for the truth.
00:48:40.640 Between Epoch Times, was it NTD-TV?
00:48:43.340 Yeah, NTD.
00:48:43.960 You got G News with Miles going out.
00:48:46.480 We have combined the best coverage of China of anybody.
00:48:51.720 It's absolutely unbelievable.
00:48:52.980 Talk to us about Nancy Pelosi's trip.
00:48:54.540 And particularly, people are very worried now that these naval exercises are going to lead to a naval blockade.
00:49:00.760 What does the Epoch Times reporting tell us?
00:49:03.540 Yeah, well, Steve, you know, I think you and I are in the front lines of this and have been for a good while.
00:49:07.260 I think the Chinese Communist Party is using this basically as an excuse to do what they were already wanting to do,
00:49:13.000 which is try to take over Taiwan.
00:49:15.240 And the reality with Taiwan is the Chinese Communist Party would have a devastating war were they to invade it.
00:49:21.540 Beach heads. Imagine D-Day on every front.
00:49:24.800 You believe it would be like Normandy.
00:49:26.160 It would be like Normandy.
00:49:27.220 And then once they get on the ground, it would be like Iwo Jima because that underground base is all throughout.
00:49:31.480 It would be devastating for the Chinese military.
00:49:33.240 I think what they're doing instead of direct invasion is they're basically sieging Taiwan.
00:49:39.440 Like imagine a medieval castle siege.
00:49:41.920 They're surrounding Taiwan.
00:49:43.600 We'll see how long they maintain this for.
00:49:44.900 It might even be a couple of years.
00:49:46.120 You mean a naval blockade and an air blockade?
00:49:49.800 I think that's what they're doing.
00:49:51.280 And, you know, you can argue that we could do freedom of navigation exercises where American warships could still go through and risk it.
00:49:57.380 But will shipping containers risk it?
00:49:59.880 Will, you know, trade vessels risk it?
00:50:02.200 I don't know if they will.
00:50:03.240 OK, tell from the Epoch Times point of view, understanding the Taiwan economy and how industry could be linked to the American economy.
00:50:10.700 We call Taiwan Silicon Valley West.
00:50:13.580 The bill just got passed last week about bringing ships.
00:50:16.920 But that's a 10 year process.
00:50:18.920 What happens to the American economy if Xi decides to put a blockade or quarantine around Taiwan?
00:50:25.340 What happens to us?
00:50:26.180 It means the high tech industry dies.
00:50:29.360 It means we go back to like, you know, pre-semiconductors technology.
00:50:34.100 You think it's that you think it'll be that tough?
00:50:36.540 At least in the short term, yes.
00:50:37.980 I mean, what, like 95 percent of the ships come from Taiwan, something like that.
00:50:41.520 So so you're saying that that can't happen because that's a Great Depression.
00:50:44.900 I say, is she know that is she prepared to risk that?
00:50:47.680 She is definitely aware because Trump almost did it to Xi, if we remember.
00:50:51.540 And so remember, Trump banned these temporarily in China.
00:50:54.980 Yeah. And he let Xi Jinping feel the pain.
00:50:57.320 The advanced ships.
00:50:58.280 Yes. He let Xi feel the pain with that.
00:51:00.700 Talk to me about you guys had great coverage about the financial collapse of the real estate industry.
00:51:04.840 Particularly, you see tanks that used to be in Tiananmen Square and now in front of the Bank of China.
00:51:09.100 That's right. In front of the Bank, not letting Lao Baixing get to their savings as the real estate market collapses.
00:51:14.480 Is that as bad as it seems?
00:51:16.880 And will that trigger Xi to do some hyper nationalism to let's go get Taiwan?
00:51:21.820 Steve, it's worse than it seems.
00:51:24.440 Worse than it seems.
00:51:25.140 Worse for the Chinese Communist Party.
00:51:27.360 I should know.
00:51:28.040 The reality is the Chinese economy was ready to burst.
00:51:31.600 They were bailed out by Western investment.
00:51:34.040 Basically, what happened was the Chinese economy was collapsing.
00:51:36.560 Real estate markets were collapsing.
00:51:38.560 They saved that by telling the rest of the world during the COVID outbreak, hey, now is the time to invest in China.
00:51:44.040 We're going to build back, you know, invest in infrastructure.
00:51:47.460 Western in Western financial companies poured money into the Chinese Communist Party, bailed them out temporarily.
00:51:53.060 But the problems were not fixed.
00:51:55.880 Now they're finding that all the money in the world can't bail them out.
00:51:59.580 And so they're having the problem now where people are having runs on the bank.
00:52:02.660 They're trying to use people's health codes for COVID, you know, quote unquote.
00:52:05.940 Is that what it is?
00:52:06.780 It's a classic bank run.
00:52:08.460 And that's why they've got the tanks outside.
00:52:10.120 And they're also redefining your savings as investment products so that you can't withdraw an investment product, right?
00:52:15.960 Yeah, that's the glory of a digital currency.
00:52:18.460 Walk us through.
00:52:19.120 I don't want you to speculate, but as you see these forces coming together, walk us through the next couple of months as a lead up to the 20th Party Congress where Xi wants to be emperor for life.
00:52:29.560 What do you think happens?
00:52:30.680 Well, the reality is Xi Jinping, of course, people talk about it as like the supreme leader of the Chinese Communist Party.
00:52:35.500 In reality, he does not control everything.
00:52:38.780 You have different families that control a lot of China.
00:52:41.140 You have different factions that control parts of China.
00:52:43.260 The Jiang faction, although Jiang Zemin is not doing so hot, still controls a lot.
00:52:48.040 And they're at each other's throats.
00:52:49.760 They do not like Xi Jinping.
00:52:50.940 And frankly, they're not any better.
00:52:52.800 So that should be clear.
00:52:54.540 Xi Jinping wants to control everything, even though he's kind of like chairman for life.
00:52:59.960 Or not, sorry, not chairman.
00:53:01.300 He wants to be chairman.
00:53:02.540 Even though he's, you know, technically in charge of the government side on the surface,
00:53:06.280 he will not be in charge of the whole country unless he makes his step towards what Mao Zedong did to become chairman,
00:53:12.840 where he would control everything.
00:53:14.560 That's the steps Xi is taking.
00:53:16.560 Now, can he do that?
00:53:18.300 A lot of it's going to be determined on whether or not he can demonstrate to other party leaders that he's capable of it
00:53:23.060 and he can survive, you know, the Game of Thrones, so to speak, when they go after his throat.
00:53:27.780 And that's going to mean he has to demonstrate either that he can hold the country together
00:53:32.180 or he has to demonstrate his own personal, I think, power and viciousness, frankly.
00:53:38.220 Wow.
00:53:38.620 How do people get to Epoch Times?
00:53:40.160 How do they get to you on social media?
