Bannon's War Room - Episode 2483： Who Are Benefitting From The War Machine

00:00:00.000 this is the primal scream of a dying regime pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on

00:00:10.340 these people i got a free shot all these networks lying about the people the people have had a

00:00:17.220 belly full of it i know you don't like hearing that i know you try to do everything in the world

00:00:20.980 to stop that but you're not going to stop it it's going to happen and where do people like that go

00:00:25.000 to share the big line mega media i wish in my soul i wish that any of these people had a conscience

00:00:33.180 ask yourself what is my task and what is my purpose if that answer is to save my country

00:00:40.500 this country will be saved war room here's your host stephen k bann

00:00:47.240 the heroic defense of stalingrad the soviet army turning the nazis six months or so

00:01:00.020 into the most ghastly military disaster in german history

00:01:03.560 hands held high the beaten nazis pour from house after house in abject surrender

00:01:30.740 hitler's generals give up too 24 including a field marshal here is lieutenant general fondaniel

00:01:48.720 commander of the veteran 376th division

00:01:52.160 lieutenant general san commanded hitler's pride the crack 100th division that smashed through belgium

00:02:03.360 and france berlin says that german generals never surrender

00:02:07.940 germany's romanian allies brigadier general dimitriou commander of the 20th romanian infantry

00:02:17.500 suffers the same fate as that of his german colleagues

00:02:20.920 five more axis generals who failed at the stalingrad hitler vowed he'd take

00:02:30.860 lieutenant general schlemer whose 14th tank corps helped conquer holland

00:02:38.160 lieutenant general von trevor whose 297th infantry invaded greece

00:02:45.740 lieutenant general rinaldi medical chief of the 6th german army

00:02:51.380 biggest catch of all field marshal frederick von paulus commander in chief of all axis armies

00:03:00.380 at stalingrad taken to headquarters of general schumeloff for questioning von paulus has much

00:03:07.240 to answer for he is the man who ordered the extermination of every civilian in stalingrad 0.94

00:03:12.740 calmly quietly general schumeloff reviews von paulus record this is the von paulus who two months

00:03:28.300 before threatened the families of his own soldiers with death if one man should surrender

00:03:33.740 80 years ago today one of the takeaways there is all the best uh generals all the best troops

00:03:44.660 that swept through uh europe at the beginning of world war ii that swept in and took paris uh led to

00:03:53.020 dunkirk all of it were all transferred this is the best of the best this war in the eastern front was

00:03:58.620 fought at a scale that's incomprehensible that army was at one time over 300 000 troops that's the size

00:04:05.360 of patton's army which was i think our biggest army in in europe that broke out of normandy and swept

00:04:10.800 across france and then saved the uh the 101st of baston the famous patent army was the size of that and

00:04:17.920 these guys had a lot of those type of army groups at leningrad outside of moscow at kursk all of it

00:04:24.280 the scale of this steve cortez uh people don't understand the scale is totally different and if

00:04:29.740 you had asked patten and eisenhower and general marshall and montgomery and all of them uh would

00:04:35.200 would you know about 80 years later 80 years to the day that stalingrad fell and remember to talk

00:04:40.960 about the it's a different type of warfare polis the field marshal who surrendered was going to

00:04:47.380 exterminate every civilian in stalingrad they had already exterminated killed they already killed 0.98

00:04:52.180 100 000 not millions including 30 000 jews at kiev i think that's where that memorial is this was this 0.87

00:04:59.020 was a killing machine started 300 000 they surrendered i think they only had 90 000 only 5 000 of the

00:05:05.300 original 300 000 ever got back to germany um a scale and a barbarity and here again we are you the 0.99

00:05:14.360 taxpayer this audience you're underwriting and the republican party neocon um insane hawks are pushing

00:05:22.160 this uh this is being pushed by the united states of america and the leaders of nato just understand

00:05:26.700 what's going on here right i'm not sure even most of the ukrainian people are in on this deal right now

00:05:31.000 they're pushing this they want a land war we're putting main battle tanks and those tanks that

00:05:36.920 they're forcing the germans to put over there got the iron cross on them so i just want you to understand

00:05:41.460 that your tax dollars and your sons and daughters are going to be going across ukraine with tanks to the

00:05:48.280 left of them they got the iron cross on it 80 years from when this slaughter took place okay from when

00:05:54.280 this slaughter took place that's where we are today and here's the objective the objective is crimea

00:06:00.360 the objective is now the ever their spring offensive to crimea and now we're getting reports i've got

00:06:06.760 one up on on getter right now that shows that hey uh there's a there's a winter offensive because

00:06:11.580 the russians know how to fight in winter right they use winter as a as a strategic weapon uh they're

00:06:17.440 about to you know deliver another hammer blow and what you're going to end up with steve cortez is

00:06:23.200 you got 40 or 50 000 dead women and children in ukraine right now you're going to end up with a

00:06:28.020 lot more dead women and children sir donald trump says he could fit in the 24 hours what are your

00:06:32.880 thoughts uh amen and i think he could i've been saying that for many months right if we were a

00:06:37.200 serious country right now what we would be doing is de-escalating is forcing both sides to get to the

00:06:43.120 negotiating table and there would be no one on earth better to lead those negotiations than donald

00:06:48.840 trump i really believe that that within a matter of hours or days at most we would have a sensible

00:06:53.820 resolution of both sides instead we continue to massively escalate at great human cost to the

00:07:00.420 people on the ground there and at great peril and risk and and and financial cost to the united states

00:07:06.460 you're very right steve to to put this current crisis in the context of history of the centuries

00:07:12.580 of blood loss in that part of the world now looking at this current crisis though here here's the good

00:07:18.820 news the good news is that if we are dispassionate about it if we take a realistic assessment of the

00:07:23.840 situation uh geographically speaking it is a regional confrontation it really is it doesn't have

00:07:29.740 wider ramifications unless we force it to uh and when we look at it from an ethnic perspective

00:07:34.960 this is a blood feud a slavic blood feud between the ukrainians and the russians that has gone on

00:07:41.440 for centuries and it may well go on for centuries from here but thankfully involves no strategic u.s

00:07:48.580 national security interest by the way when i talk about keeping our heads uh let me tell you who's not

00:07:53.060 keeping their heads right now are some folks in western europe and this is some very good reporting out

00:07:57.980 from breitbart about what denmark is actually proposing if we can pull up uh slide number one chart one

00:08:04.240 please i want to show this this was reported by breitbart that the defense chief of breitbart

00:08:08.900 actually calls for the drafting for the military conscription of women because of the russian threat

00:08:16.920 now listen if the danish and there's the quote from breitbart changing laws surrounding conscription

00:08:22.680 to allow everyone including women from the defense minister of denmark if the danish steve want to go

00:08:30.500 down this ridiculous road this absurdity and if they want to inflict this cruelty upon the women 0.83

00:08:35.740 of their society and pretend that it is worth risking their lives to intervene in this black sea

00:08:41.900 regional struggle that's on denmark okay we in the united states across an ocean with our own border

00:08:48.680 problem a very real very very present border problem here in the united states we need to say europe if you

00:08:54.600 really believe it's that that uh you're ultimately a problem for you that it is for you to take care of

00:08:59.620 you have all of the resources economic and military that you need uh to take care of it your neighborhood

00:09:04.780 your backyard your problem because listen this is not here here and zelensky is not our fighter 1.00

00:09:10.640 the the reason that these radical regimes got to start conscripting the women for this conscripting 0.88

00:09:16.720 the women drafting them is that the guys aren't signing up in germany was reported a couple of weeks ago 1.00

00:09:21.100 that the highest rate of conscientious objectors now sitting there going i don't know now they they're

00:09:26.140 going to be thrown in the young in europe are going to be thrown into the chernel house how many times 0.95

00:09:31.640 do we have to do this ladies and gentlemen because now it's on your shoulders the responsibility of

00:09:36.780 this audience we must force biden and all the constitutional conservatives out there i'm tired of

00:09:41.860 all the talk about the constitution let's see some action about the constitution let's get and i'm not

00:09:46.680 so sure the war power is active actually taking up is constitutional but it's what we got right now

00:09:51.540 he must be forced to come to the house and make a presentation about what that what's the plan

00:09:58.780 what are the objectives what's the strategy as steve cortez continues to hammer why is in the vital

00:10:04.320 national security interest of the united states they're going to start the hearings on the southern

00:10:08.360 border next week we know the southern border is in the vital national security interest of the united

00:10:13.200 states why is the eastern russian-speaking border of ukraine 8 000 miles away why is that in the vital

00:10:19.860 national security interest i tell you who doesn't think so the young men of germany the young men of

00:10:24.660 denmark they're not signing up you don't see these people sign up go over there it just announced the

00:10:29.000 other day the united kingdom and we're going to get into the united some economics here we're going to

00:10:33.380 get uh we're going to get uh dave walsh in here about the uk economy and energy the united kingdom

00:10:39.320 our greatest part of the nato protector because they're not an ally can they can deliver one

00:10:45.000 combat division one combat division let me put that in perspective of the german army that surrendered

00:10:51.940 80 years ago today okay a division is roughly 10 000 people right now the brits with all their cuts

00:10:59.780 they can come up with one combat division okay there were essentially 30 combat divisions or what was

00:11:06.960 left of them that that either were defeated killed or surrendered at stalingrad 30 that's the difference

00:11:12.780 you're talking about oh by the way it's also happens to be the number of illegal aliens across

00:11:16.880 the border in the united states in the month of december just to connect the dot there

00:11:20.920 cortez we must just like on the financial mccarthy tomorrow must force these guys no deal nothing put on

00:11:28.360 the table give them to give you the model we need to see we need a war powers resolution and biden to

00:11:34.240 step to the place because this is nato the united states versus russia let's just cut the cut the nonsense

00:11:39.580 the ukrainian people are just pawns in this thing steve cortez no and by the way the ukrainian people are

00:11:46.300 the people being victimized most of all right paradoxically the people that biden and the davos

00:11:51.880 said and the bureaucrats at brussels uh nato headquarters who they claim of course to be protecting the

00:11:58.120 ukrainian people the ukrainian people the ones suffering most intensely from this totally insane 1.00

00:12:04.020 escalation who's benefiting defense contractors in the united states the washington war machine

00:12:10.100 lobbyists on k street the davos set zelensky okay all of them are benefiting the ukrainian people are

00:12:16.920 suffering most of all and what we're trying to prevent steve is that kind of suffering being visited

00:12:22.040 upon american families because remember we have thousands of u.s troops from the 101st airborne who are

00:12:29.280 right now deployed right there on the border you want to talk about a dangerous situation those

00:12:35.000 troops should be living with their families and training in the middle of america where they're 0.56

00:12:39.080 based at fort campbell in kentucky and in tennessee they do not belong in europe in europe inviting a

00:12:46.800 confrontation with the second most powerful military in the world russia yeah let me let me just make

00:12:54.140 another observation they're on your romania on the ukrainian border the reason that the army

00:12:59.880 sixth army collapsed at stalingrad and they mentioned it just briefly in the in the news show

00:13:04.220 the romanian they had two two or three divisions of they had a romanian army that fought with the nazis

00:13:10.680 that were at stalingrad on the left flank and they're the ones that collapsed it shouldn't be

00:13:15.060 lost we've now put the 101st the the revered 101st that that held at bastone right and so the the

00:13:24.000 hitler couldn't come at the battle of the bulge and sweep back through europe the historic 0.92

00:13:28.520 brave 101st that fought in iraq and afghanistan lost all that blood all that all those kids all

00:13:34.660 the all the ptsd all the kill now we got them on the border they're deployed forward deployed in

00:13:39.840 your in romania to go into combat you do not send the 101st forward unless you intend to use them in

00:13:47.900 combat so don't be all the lies and misrepresentations where's the big debate where's the big

00:13:52.640 debate on tanks there was no debate also came out of nowhere next thing you know you're giving them

00:13:57.140 tanks this is not giving them tanks you're changing to an entire type of warfare as the vermark when

00:14:03.060 the tanks start rolling that's when the bodies really start coming up that's when you have what's

00:14:06.840 called combined arms and you can't give the tanks alinsky knows this buying to say no no no no no f-16s

00:14:13.580 you can't have tanks unless you have close air support you have combat air support you need air

00:14:19.300 support you're going to need jet fighters those jet fighters are going to come from the west and

00:14:23.200 they're going to have american pilots okay this is all happening and they're forcing and up on capitol

00:14:29.500 hill just every day no force seemed to do what the constitution says he must come to the house

00:14:36.620 and present the war plan we have to see it now we have to see make him make his lies and

00:14:43.060 misrepresentations for the record of history cortez and dave walsh next

00:14:47.620 will the lack of a red wave during the midterms lead to a more emboldened biden more wasteful

00:16:15.440 voting on legislation to restore our constitutional rights and freedoms after two long years of

00:16:21.160 democrats covet 19 power grab policies the extended covet lockdowns like the ones we saw in my home state of

00:16:28.140 new york caused irreparable damage to our children's development financial strain on our small

00:16:33.120 businesses and unnecessary deaths among our most vulnerable seniors due to former disgraced governor

00:16:39.160 andrew cuomo's deadly and fatal nursing home order under the guise of covet 19 democrats authoritarian

00:16:45.220 policies weaponized the federal government forced unconstitutional vaccine mandates and cost hundreds

00:16:51.020 of billions in waste and abuse of americans hard-earned taxpayer dollars this week house republicans will

00:16:57.320 pass a bill that will force the federal government to acknowledge what the american people already know

00:17:02.300 the pandemic is over in addition the freedom for health care workers act will end the unconstitutional

00:17:08.840 covet 19 vaccine mandates that cost our health care workers who bravely served on the front lines in the

00:17:15.620 wake of the wake of the pandemic they cost them their livelihoods and caused a crisis of staffing shortages

00:17:21.000 nationwide house republicans will also pass the show up act americans across the country show up to work every

00:17:28.560 day there is no reason why federal employees should not be held to the same standard house republicans will

00:17:34.320 deliver on our promises to hold democrats accountable for their failed covet 19 policies and as the conference chair every

00:17:41.320 week we are highlighting one of our newly elected freshman members and i'm honored to introduce our next speaker

00:17:46.620 laura lee newly elected from florida's 15th district

00:17:49.960 fantastic uh by the way going on offense they're not going to just sit there and let biden extend this

00:17:56.760 thing uh to the end of may but oh that's the last time that's when we're going to stop it remember this

00:18:00.800 whole con has got the federal workers don't have to show up you got the whole student loan fiasco which uh

00:18:06.440 jane zirkle's working for us i think it's i don't know now looks like 400 billion dollars of fiasco

00:18:12.000 bigger than they thought it was going to be it's all lies and misrepresentations uh i think because

00:18:16.820 of timing we're gonna get naomi uh up tonight i think on the six o'clock show we got a lot to go

00:18:22.660 through this thing's exploding about the vax every second of every day and i want to thank uh the war room

00:18:28.780 audience uh in the posse but the audience for back in the book but the 3 500 members of this audience

00:18:34.680 that have volunteered now for over a year to be uh the researchers and and pulling pulling the

00:18:40.040 information from the pfizer documents which are going to be already stunning but are going to be a

00:18:45.700 major part of these investigations in the house and i know of uh already major lawsuits are going on

00:18:52.100 so so thank you a lot to report a lot to get going on that that's elise stefanik also biden just

00:18:57.200 left the white house and had some um had some pointed comments about the debt ceiling we're gonna get

00:19:02.920 into uh bottom line people should understand three things are converging number one all the

00:19:07.780 investigations they've they've got the jurisdiction set aside they've gone through a certain set of

00:19:12.160 subpoenas and letters who they're going to have actually i think you're actually going to have

00:19:15.360 testimony starting next week i can tell you the staffs are hiring they're working these things and

00:19:20.540 it all and i think it's going to start multiple everywhere from the the covid investigations the

00:19:25.660 wuhan lab you're going to have uh the border uh weaponization of government judiciary uh the biden

00:19:31.260 comber yesterday said the biden financial records and uh in the uh in the intelligence the the the

00:19:38.580 intelligence uh crimes are irrestrictably linked that should be a major red flag in the white house

00:19:46.240 that's what i'm saying it's obvious that that hunter biden took classified documents had access to

00:19:52.320 classified documents and put it into emails to his business partners all that's going on you have the

00:19:57.120 entire debt ceiling situation going on and you're going to have this situation about a war powers

00:20:02.280 that just people are just not going to sit here and allow unlimited uh hundreds of billions because 0.78

00:20:10.320 this is going to get to trillions of dollars and not just that it's going to suck in american kids

00:20:15.020 it is impossible to put those tanks into a combat zone without american if not crews then you got to have

00:20:24.720 at least logistics maintenance supply training all that and i don't these are the most sophisticated

00:20:29.160 tanks that have ever been developed you've got the you've got people that train for years on these

00:20:34.320 tanks at the finest training centers we have here uh in the united states with the united states army

00:20:40.160 you just can't throw these uh ukrainian militia into that right and expect them that in in in the air 0.95

00:20:47.740 in missiles and rockets they want they continue to ask for and we continue to push on them because we

00:20:52.140 want to expand this from a border a conflict over a border now it's offense they said they're allowed

00:20:56.940 they're pushing the ukraine to say this thing doesn't end until they've taken back all the

00:21:00.900 territory in eastern ukraine russian-speaking ukraine and now the crimea to add the crimea onto that

00:21:07.060 we'll bring in dave walsh here in a second let's play i'm going to play the biden clip if uh denver if

00:21:11.820 you by the way um there was a clip before i get there there's a clip today um that had msnbc's

00:21:18.980 had the control room at msnbc uh which was like i don't know look like a hundred people and two

00:21:24.940 thousand tv screens and here at the war room we got the great uh crew at real america's voice

00:21:29.260 which i know uh i'm on all the time in fact somebody told me one time after they watched

00:21:33.760 the show for a year they thought that they thought that uh denver was actually a person

00:21:37.900 i was yelling at the time not a location but real america's voice in denver of course my own

00:21:42.900 crew here if we have the biden clip can we can we go and play let's go and play biden

00:21:46.580 spoke to reporters a little while ago hear his comments

00:21:50.120 have you spoken to zolensky recently and what are you going to tell him about his further request

00:22:03.900 and those were the president's comments just moments ago mike memley the issue that last question

00:22:29.160 that chris was asking about the conversations is he's going to have with the speaker it's show me

00:22:34.440 your budget yeah that's right this is really an effort on the part of the president as republicans

00:22:39.460 are demanding spending cuts from the president to say listen you're going to have to have 218 votes

00:22:44.420 among republicans to pass a budget so tell me what you're able to support is it going to be cutting

00:22:49.380 entitlement programs social security medicare is it going to be cutting defense spending these are

00:22:53.620 some difficult choices that will divide the republican caucus and the president is highlighting that fact

00:22:58.120 to say this should not be a subject of negotiation over our debt limit we should increase that uh with

00:23:02.980 that because that's all about paying for things we already have appropriated we can have discussions

00:23:07.260 over spending in the future the president you should also expect to hear him say we've slashed the

00:23:11.960 deficit during his administration republicans went along with spending increases during the trump

00:23:16.540 administration okay just to let you know what's going on behind the scenes they're they're freaked out

00:23:22.140 that we're saying there's no you're not touching entitlements you're not going to touch

00:23:25.800 social security and medicare okay parts of medicaid hey who knows but social security and

00:23:32.320 medicare off the table not going to be touched uh in the defense budget is in play i believe that

00:23:37.120 you need a hundred billion dollar open and open we a hundred billion dollar cut for defense

00:23:41.720 because you're going what you're going to do is take back commitments we're going to take back

00:23:46.340 commitments why do we have these commitments all over hell's half acre the american people are paying

00:23:50.020 for that's why you cut it you want to take down the ccp give me access to capital markets and 1.00

00:23:55.060 technology you can bring them to their knees in 90 days don't need to go to a kinetic war

00:23:59.080 and you got to plan for it you got you got it you got to get there you got to get the fleet ready

00:24:03.300 you got to be ready for it but that's where our focus should be not in ukraine not the hundred

00:24:06.900 billion dollars in ukraine got an easy way to cut the defense budget cut the ukraine part of it

00:24:11.100 this whole thing about previous pay for that's that's a scam the debt ceiling is not going to get

00:24:17.220 increased one penny one penny okay we're going to do a waterfall pay off the cap pay off the interest pay off

00:24:24.600 any notes that come due never default only way you default if it's biden authorizes yelling to

00:24:29.460 default the defaults on them you got to shut that if they want to shut the government down over this

00:24:33.260 hey so be it let's roll checks will still go out let's roll that's your big threat 56 percent of

00:24:39.620 the american people according to rassman said hey if that's what it takes to get the spending under

00:24:43.160 control and biden's trying to uh just spin it with propaganda right there hold the line first thing

00:24:49.600 you do we're not going to show you our budget i'm going to show your cuts show us your model show

00:24:53.220 the financial model first tell me tell me how biden how you just get through this if we if he give you

00:24:57.980 an unlimited debt ceiling increase how do you pay for it oh i see you just hit the the button over

00:25:02.960 at the federal reserve and just keep printing money can't work any longer dave walsh uh energy

00:25:09.440 particularly start i want you to start in europe about what's happened europe's back to the 16th

00:25:14.320 century i wish they were back to the 16th century their religious beliefs but they were back to the 16th 0.74

00:25:18.680 century as far as their economy goes get me up to speed on the on the energy situation in europe sir

00:25:23.300 well it's it it it remains bad uk for example the price of natural gas they're still 55 times

00:25:31.600 what it is here in the u.s so we're enjoying record exports of lng to the uk in support of

00:25:37.500 one business but secondly helping out um their price per kilowatt iron gas still double the world

00:25:44.500 average uh 27 times the world average they had been totally self-sufficient on gas as recently as

00:25:51.440 2003 they were a net exporter of oil and gas they've basically curtailed 70 percent of their north sea

00:25:58.380 production and as you know and we've said before on the show fracking in the uk is illegal remains

00:26:04.580 illegal uh liz trust was looking at that that's been aborted with her departure uh any country abundant

00:26:11.240 with bituminous coal which they are is loaded with natural gas underfoot they're not harvesting it so

00:26:15.800 they're a massive importer so we got a report from the guardian a few days ago that in london uh air

00:26:21.220 pollution has now reached a a 10 level that's the highest number on the charts and due to uh wood

00:26:27.780 burning and solid fuel burning in homes the um college of london reported its own study that 60 to 70

00:26:35.740 percent of this air pollution is now emanating from the burning of wood in fireplaces in homes and

00:26:42.880 that's caused a massive elevation to the highest level of pollutions in january 17 in the city of

00:26:48.880 london and that creates huge particulate pollution airborne which actually is not about co2 it's about

00:26:55.000 heavy particles coming from wood burning which actually is dangerous has caused big uplift in

00:27:00.020 hospital visits doctor visits and the prescription of uh inhalers for children so amazing so london is

00:27:08.780 it's it's uh it's uh this is the age of dickens it's back to it's back to that london i wish they

00:27:15.820 had the values of the victorian we're back there we're back there we're back there there's there's

00:27:22.360 there's certainly gonna they're certainly gonna get the air pollution of that era wish they would get

00:27:26.640 the victorian uh values in the underlying christianity that uh that made it at one point

00:27:31.940 the greatest civilization in the world not anymore okay uh huddle around their uh fireplaces burning coal

00:27:37.760 and wood that's they're so far more advanced they're so awfully awfully okay short break dave walsh

00:27:46.180 and uh peter teal is gonna be here by uh tape from uh oxford we're gonna show his speech the other day

00:30:49.880 uh dave walsh so uh make sure you go to mypillow buy one get one free check out

00:30:55.060 mypillow 2.0 we did the official launch yesterday on worm and also go to cpac make sure you're there

00:31:01.860 make sure you represent we want to meet you want to see you okay dave walsh um talk to me uh by the

00:31:07.420 time cpac comes are they going to try to have a higher gas prices here what are people going to

00:31:12.100 look forward to well the recent projections will be up back up to over four bucks a gallon in the u.s

00:31:18.600 we've had the last month 33.3 cents advance from up to now 349 a gallon as of yesterday nationally

00:31:26.060 on average so a lot of projections by march to four bucks plus and that's because a couple reasons

00:31:32.520 you got china coming out of their whole strategy redirecting china on lockdowns to no lockdowns 0.98

00:31:37.680 reopening the economy the imf predicting about 5.2 percent economic growth in china during 23

00:31:44.160 so that's going to bring a lot of demand for oil oil in china um coupled with we're heading into

00:31:50.440 the outage or what's called the turnaround season for u.s refining capacity which is already

00:31:55.620 bottlenecked it hasn't really recovered from the december cold spell a lot of refinery outages begin

00:32:01.600 in march so you'll have uh you know some additional supply curtailment here because of that which ought to

00:32:06.480 drive prices up there is there is one silver lining something that's going on that i've been an advocate

00:32:11.780 for and that is the um the price caps announced by the u.s and western europe on russian oil appear to

00:32:20.040 be having something of an effect um they are now exporting heavily instead of to western europe to

00:32:25.340 turkey china and india at prices well below even the 60 bucks a barrel cap so there's an opec meeting on

00:32:33.000 wednesday to uh the planning committee meeting to get their arms around russia has kind of broken away

00:32:38.820 from opec in respect to pricing and see that that kind of reverse cartel a buying cartel actually

00:32:45.000 works and it would be you know in time something for us to consider pulling saudi arabia into that

00:32:51.640 kind of sanction uh the neocons over time have been massively supportive of them oh we had a we had a

00:32:59.380 pull we had to pull them in immediately they're trying to they're trying to use the petro they're

00:33:02.500 trying to get to the yes they're trying to get off the dollars of reserve currency they're part of the

00:33:06.140 problem they have turkey iran pakistan all those guys have thrown in with the ccp and the russians 0.56

00:33:11.860 100 they're they're part of the new access and i yeah i was making a point last week exxon mobile

00:33:18.760 announced 59 billion in earnings double more than double from last year as chevron did well the

00:33:24.960 underpinning you know really is their boat has been heavily lifted by the actions of opec raising

00:33:30.120 global oil prices we don't want to attack their profitability from the irs standpoint

00:33:35.320 we don't want to recoup excess profits we do want them investing in the oil and gas production

00:33:40.620 capacity which exxon by the way are doing they're continuing their 24 billion capex program of

00:33:46.060 exploration expense and production in into 23 unlike chevron they're there they have a share buyback

00:33:52.360 program they haven't elevated it they're keeping it flat so they're on they're on the positive side

00:33:57.300 but still the bubble in earnings has was caused largely by opec plus russia so yeah going after the

00:34:03.940 kingdom included with that price cap would make compelling sense to kill opec in the crib and

00:34:08.620 that's what that's what keeps oil prices in check in the long run of course in addition to massive

00:34:13.820 production here exxon's also announced a permian increase to production of uh to a million barrels

00:34:19.720 a day in the permian basin by 2024 so they're still on page with growing their basic core business of oil

00:34:25.920 oil and gas unlike chevron oh opec is no friend of the united states this whole happy talk of

00:34:31.880 defending the game the game's over they're thrown in with the ccp dave how do people get access to all 1.00

00:34:37.520 all this information you're putting up sir uh you catch me on getter at dave walsh energy

00:34:42.560 thank you steve brother fantastic report england back to the age of dickens burning coal and wood

00:34:51.080 to keep warm that's where the united states is going to go unless you get unless we get focused

00:34:54.960 and get back to full spectrum energy dominance like we're under donald j trump let's go we got

00:35:01.520 peter teal at oxford let's play it and joe allen is going to come in for his expert commentary

00:35:05.820 it brings me great pleasure to welcome mr peter teal to the inaugural address of the oxford union's

00:35:11.020 bicentenary year you know the general thesis that i've been articulating in different fora

00:35:15.360 for close to two decades is there is something about science and technology that's not progressing

00:35:22.180 as quickly but for the last 40 or 50 years outside the world of bits it has been a story

00:35:27.600 of general stagnation why can't we have a ticker tape parade for the you know one or two the key

00:35:34.280 scientists who developed the mrna vaccine we're told this is this fantastic scientific technological

00:35:40.060 breakthrough why can't we celebrate this and um and my sort of cultural thesis is that uh it is

00:35:47.900 immediately adjacent in people's minds to this great existential fear because the mrna vaccines

00:35:54.680 somehow remind us of um this thing going on the wuhan lab that was called had this orwellian term

00:36:01.060 gain of function research which sounds sort of like a bioweapons program in disguise but within

00:36:05.920 computers probably the the futuristic narrative is always around ai artificial intelligence artificial

00:36:12.200 general intelligence i was involved with a thing called the singularity institute which um pushed

00:36:17.960 sort of accelerationist utopian technology and i sort of remember thinking to myself by 2015 i reconnected

00:36:24.760 with some of these people and it didn't feel like they were really pushing the the ai thing as fast as

00:36:30.540 before it had shifted from transhumanism to luddite no actually want to slow this down it feels kind of

00:36:37.180 dangerous i'm going to read this it's from april 2022 less than a year ago uh eliezer yudkowsky who's

00:36:43.960 one of the sort of thought leaders of the sort of futurist um ai and it's announcing a new death with

00:36:51.760 dignity strategy it's obvious at this point that humanity isn't going to solve the alignment problem

00:36:57.580 of how to get the ai aligned with humans or even try very hard or even go out with much of a fight

00:37:04.020 since survival is unattainable we should shift the focus our efforts to helping humanity die with

00:37:11.280 slightly more dignity it's an extraordinary way that the uh the context has shifted oxford professor

00:37:17.680 nick bostrom and i think of him as sort of a mouthpiece of the zeitgeist um and he sort of wrote

00:37:23.020 this paper back in 2019 called the vulnerable world hypothesis sort of and it outlines all these

00:37:29.080 different existential risks climate change nuclear weapons um runaway nanotechnology the robots killing

00:37:35.300 everybody the ai killing everybody runaway bioweapons etc etc and there are four things that must be done 0.54

00:37:41.380 to stabilize the world number one restrict technological development number two ensure that there does not

00:37:48.940 exist a large population of actors representing a wide and recognizably human distribution of motives

00:37:55.000 number three establish an extremely effective preventive policing and number four you need to

00:38:03.740 establish effective global governance if we are going to enumerate all these existential risks and

00:38:09.940 we have to talk about them we have to discuss them we have to think about them if you end up with a

00:38:14.600 one world totalitarian state that also counts as an existential risk you know in the sort of

00:38:20.140 quasi-mythological new testament account the the slogan of the antichrist is peace and safety perhaps we

00:38:26.860 should fear the antichrist perhaps we should fear the one world totalitarian state uh more than armageddon

00:38:32.920 what i would say is i i don't know if we actually need to get to the super futuristic versions of ai for it to be

00:38:41.700 um for it to be problematic where it's um this super intelligent computer the the version of it that

00:38:47.280 i think is the most real and the most problematic is something like what you see in in communist china

00:38:52.520 where it's it's um it's fairly low tech but it is just this pervasive surveillance we have we have all

00:38:59.940 sorts of debates whether ai is conscious or whether it's intelligent or super intelligent but if we avoid the

00:39:06.820 political question of how it gets used in in places like china um you know maybe it's merely evil and

00:39:13.020 maybe something can be merely evil it's not conscious it's not even intelligent it's merely evil if you were

00:39:18.660 to say that crypto is libertarian then why can't we say that ai is is communist it's not completely

00:39:24.360 inherent in it but it's a it's a certain tendency in it and uh and while i am i am pro acceleration i'm

00:39:30.580 pro tech i'm even pro ai um it is probably the one technology that i have the most misgivings about

00:39:35.780 the luddites look uh they even if they were right about a lot of things they they ultimately are

00:39:41.140 wrong you're going to lose if nothing else than in the military context it's as even even if the

00:39:46.480 luddites are right about everything you will lose to china on hypersonic weapons or space weapons or 0.99

00:39:51.400 weapons in cis lunar space or robots armed with ai probably there's something about the luddite answer

00:39:57.360 that's uh self-destructive and uh and parochial at the same time remember teal is uh is one of us he's

00:40:05.440 one of the smartest guys in the world one of the most successful investors in the world and and

00:40:09.040 there's a lot to go through there uh two things number one you are the luddites uh and he actually

00:40:15.220 concedes that we are right he gives the caveat that it's an arms race we're going to get to that in a

00:40:21.680 second the the fundamental because peter is is is a quite devout christian and in in is uh very

00:40:28.680 up front about his religious beliefs but it is um amazing to have someone of his stature throughout

00:40:36.780 the world and particularly because it's all about power and money and they respect the fact that he's

00:40:41.360 smart enough he makes these incredible investments joe allen for him to say and agree with the war room

00:40:47.760 that this is the rise of the antichrist and and the antichrist comes not with a sword the antichrist

00:40:54.280 comes with peace and security uh we're here to uh we're here to protect uh your thoughts uh analysis

00:41:01.700 because you say hey your biggest problem with this is peter teal exposes himself as an accelerationist

00:41:08.140 that even wants to drive forward quicker the singularity joe allen yeah you know steve it's

00:41:16.620 pretty wild to hear peter teal uh be more of an accelerationist than the transhumanist that he's

00:41:22.900 critiquing right you have nick bostrom who uh is has called for a mass surveillance global government

00:41:30.500 and teal is saying that the danger of super intelligence uh may not be as big as the

00:41:37.740 governmental sort of structure that would keep something like that in check he is in fact uh less

00:41:44.160 cautious in many ways than the people who want to upload their minds to computers it's it's it's quite

00:41:50.260 intriguing you have uh an essay that teal wrote back in 2015 it was published in the catholic journal

00:41:57.720 first things it's called against edenism and his central argument is that the garden of paradise

00:42:06.220 in eden will culminate in the city of god and that that city of god will in many ways be the creation

00:42:14.220 the technological and scientific creation of human beings and while i understand his argument that

00:42:22.820 in instituting global governance in order to keep technological progress in check is extremely dangerous

00:42:29.620 it's certainly not what i want i also think the technological progress that he is wanting to

00:42:35.060 accelerate really does match up in many sort of uh metaphorical and maybe direct ways with the image of

00:42:41.780 the antichrist and revelation so it's a huge it's a very complex problem it's a very complex argument

00:42:47.780 i really encourage people to watch the entire talk and think it through for themselves yes

00:42:53.840 hang on for one second um we definitely have to do that the audience has to do that the luddites

00:43:00.880 always have to be armed okay short commercial break joe allen on the other side i may get into an

00:43:06.560 argument here about technological advance remember the underpinning who really haven't had any

00:43:11.120 technological advance significant in 50 or 60 years just the rise of the antichrist all of it next in the

00:43:18.820 war room in joe biden's america criminals are exalted and the police are condemned sad to say but you need

00:46:39.460 run with it but i just the luddites explain to the audience who are the luddites and why do they call

00:46:44.820 us the luddites and why are we on the side of the angels sir not on the side of the demons

00:46:48.820 well you know the luddite comes from a a term that was a mythical character ned ludd in the early

00:46:57.360 industrial revolution uh north of london you had all of these textile mills in which workers were

00:47:03.600 being um gypped on their on their wages due to automation so to speak the textile um machines

00:47:11.800 displacing them and making their labor labor less valuable so they started attacking the machines

00:47:17.340 and they had this mythical figure ned ludd who was supposedly their leader and so this idea that

00:47:23.540 the machines are the enemy and the human beings should be in conflict with them should make war

00:47:28.360 against them was given the name luddite due to that so a luddite is anyone who opposes technological

00:47:33.680 advance i think the most famous luddite of course would be ted kaczynski uh uncle ted who um you know

00:47:40.580 in many ways gave luddites a really bad name with his bombing campaign so when peter thiel talks about

00:47:46.800 luddites being the losers what he means is that if we reject technological progress if we reject

00:47:54.340 all the different technologies that he's working on and he's invested in then we're going to lose 0.94

00:47:59.180 out to some other world power we're going to lose out to china we may lose out to russia he doesn't 0.98

00:48:03.900 mention them specifically or some other power um you know it's really interesting though that peter thiel

00:48:09.380 and i'm not trying to uh draw this as some sort of aspersion i'm not trying to cast aspersion on his

00:48:14.280 character here or say that he's a hypocrite or that he's uh self-interested and that's what his

00:48:18.860 message is based on but peter thiel is invested in a lot of the technologies that we would call

00:48:24.780 transhumanist technologies and as we hear heard in his talk he has been associated with transhumanism

00:48:30.700 and the the ideology for the last 20 30 years uh the first of course is palantir which he co-founded

00:48:38.440 uh some 20 years ago and uh it is as of 2021 it had the top market share of all artificial

00:48:46.740 intelligence companies uh it goes across like 50 industries from health care to manufacturing to

00:48:52.140 business maybe the most important though is military technology so uh palantir one of the programs for

00:48:58.980 instance uh meta constellation uh which their ceo alex cart presented at the world economic forum last

00:49:05.520 week meta constellation is designed to basically locate targets uh in an entire nation you basically

00:49:14.160 sit through the data of an entire nation looking for potential enemies potential terrorists uh and

00:49:20.720 i think arguably it's probably been used against us here in the u.s uh given as how it's farmed out to

00:49:27.680 the fbi cia and department of defense uh you also have black rock neurotech of course peter thiel was

00:49:35.340 one of the original investors in neural link and uh now he is throwing a ton of investment into black rock

00:49:41.340 neurotech the brain computer interface company uh of the nearly 40 people with advanced brain computer

00:49:48.620 interfaces in their heads uh black rock neurotech has around 32 or 34 of them uh they now have a

00:49:55.660 an even more advanced system uh called the neural lace uh which it seems to be a promising avenue to

00:50:02.700 connecting the brain to digital devices and artificial intelligence and i don't know if teal

00:50:08.860 has the same sort of ambush ambition as musk as far as i know he's never voiced it but certainly he is

00:50:14.220 driving that forward also life extension so you have all these different tech moguls that are investing

00:50:20.780 in life extension or this sort of approximation of immortality and uh teal has invested in a ton of this stuff

00:50:26.700 uh the probably the most important one is the the methuselah foundation and uh he was quoted recently

00:50:34.460 in the guardian as saying um the reverse of all human ailment he intends to reverse all human ailments

00:50:42.860 the same way we can fix the bugs of a computer program death will eventually be reduced from a mystery

00:50:50.140 to a solvable problem uh again i'm not trying to smear peter teal but certainly that has the same

00:50:57.980 sort of air that most of the transhumanists would voice about all these technologies uh and then of

00:51:03.660 course there was the investment in ambrosia which is the uh project to uh have blood transfusions from

00:51:10.300 younger people into older people so that they'll be more vibrant healthier and live longer uh sort of like

00:51:16.620 uh uh cyber techno vampirism you could say so yeah i think this is it adds a different flavor to his uh

00:51:25.020 his statements at oxford okay how do people get to you we're having you back on i want to go through

00:51:31.340 the concept of accelerationist versus luddite and why the accelerationists are quite dangerous okay and
