00:34:34.060 right and left you know 50 50 but here 66 to 22 and again it's not just a republican thing the biggest

00:34:41.900 one is independents who now by a 70 to 17 margin say that the situation at the border is a crisis that's

00:34:49.800 the biggest number ever for independents and they've come a long way on another question we asked

00:34:54.540 which is is the problem of legal immigration getting better or worse only 12 percent of the

00:34:59.660 country now says better 57 percent says worse that's about a five to one margin but among independents

00:35:06.400 it's now a 12 to one margin 65 percent to five percent independents say that the border is getting worse

00:35:13.460 and not better uh right before we came on i dug up numbers from back in august and back then it was

00:35:19.600 only a six to one margin among independents so independents have swung in a major way and of

00:35:24.340 course republicans have always thought the situation at the border was a crisis they're also a 12 to one

00:35:29.320 margin right now 80 percent to seven percent but again it's fascinating how close independents and

00:35:35.820 republicans are now polling on some of these really big hot button issues but of course the democrat numbers

00:35:41.340 are newsmakers also 29 percent of democrats say the situation is getting worse and only 21 percent say

00:35:49.040 better um so democrats are roughly split to thinking more that the situation is getting worse and a

00:35:56.200 plurality of democrats 46 percent to 38 percent say the situation at the border is a crisis uh those are

00:36:03.300 really bad numbers and i'll tell you what something else that happened in the last uh week or so we've

00:36:08.080 gotten a lot of flack over the last couple months because we've been dragging bind's approval up and

00:36:14.060 i think i have some reasons for that part of that is that we're still polling likely voters whereas

00:36:18.400 pretty much nobody else is at this point in the cycle and another one is we pull bind approval every

00:36:24.280 day whereas a lot of pollsters are doing it as part of a big poll they do once a month and so we let

00:36:29.960 that number drift we're a lot less focused on benchmarking it to where it was last month

00:36:34.560 um but because of that we get to see major swings when big things happen in the news cycle and this

00:36:41.140 border it drove about a six point like in a two night six point crash in bind approval so people

00:36:48.280 don't like the idea of tens of thousands of human beings illegally pouring across the border and what

00:36:54.900 looks like an invasion if you look at the pictures um real quickly you talk about because even if you watch

00:37:03.260 the mainstream coverage they do as little about the invasion as possible and they play they they play

00:37:07.300 the empathy empathy card for people when i realize they aspire for a better life but that's not what

00:37:13.300 the asylum system's for and quite frankly if you're going to do that you've got to get into line and
