Bannon's War Room - Episode 2754： The Inflation Expansion Act And Green New Deal

00:00:01.000 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.

00:00:06.000 Pray for our enemies.

00:00:08.000 Because we're going medieval on these people.

00:00:11.000 I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.

00:00:15.000 The people have had a belly full of it.

00:00:17.000 I know you don't like hearing that.

00:00:19.000 I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that,

00:00:21.000 but you're not going to stop it. It's going to happen.

00:00:23.000 And where do people like that go to share the big lie?

00:00:26.000 MAGA Media.

00:00:28.000 I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.

00:00:33.000 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?

00:00:37.000 If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.

00:00:43.000 War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Vance.

00:00:52.000 Let's talk about those debt ceiling negotiations between the White House and Capitol Hill.

00:00:56.000 I want to bring in NBC Senior Congressional Correspondent Garrett Haake.

00:00:59.000 So, Garrett, Congressman Graves, who was one of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's debt ceiling negotiators,

00:01:05.000 says, and he should know, things are not going well.

00:01:08.000 What's the latest you're hearing?

00:01:10.000 Well, the problem here, Chris, is that they're stuck.

00:01:12.000 At the end of the day, this is about spending levels.

00:01:15.000 Republicans say they want to spend less next year than the U.S. government spent this year,

00:01:20.000 but they keep walling off sections of the budget that they don't want to cut.

00:01:24.000 And as the White House, as our reporting has indicated, has tried to put other things on the table,

00:01:28.000 other ways to spend money or save money or try to achieve some of the same deficit reductions that the House Republicans want.

00:01:36.000 The House Republicans are saying thanks, but no thanks.

00:01:38.000 Take, for case in point, Medicare savings.

00:01:41.000 The idea that perhaps the U.S. government could make up some of the costs that Republicans want to make up

00:01:45.000 by spending less money on prescription drugs or payments to insurers.

00:01:49.000 Well, here's what happened when I asked Kevin McCarthy about that a little while ago.

00:01:56.000 How can the White House be interested in that when they said you can't touch Medicare or Social Security?

00:02:01.000 You don't think there's a savings to be had there?

00:02:03.000 No, remember what the President said long ago?

00:02:05.000 You can't touch Medicare or Social Security.

00:02:07.000 He said he wouldn't deal with it.

00:02:08.000 So that's a cut in your view then?

00:02:10.000 That's not something you have a go to?

00:02:11.000 The President said you can't.

00:02:12.000 I'm asking your opinion on it, Mr. Fingers.

00:02:14.000 Okay, I understand you're asking my opinion, but I've got to be very clear.

00:02:17.000 The President said you can't do anything with Medicare or Social Security.

00:02:21.000 And now he wants to bring that into the fold.

00:02:23.000 We all heard that from all the people across the country over and over.

00:02:29.000 So Chris, I mean, that just gives you an example.

00:02:31.000 House Republicans have taken revenue raisers, i.e. closing tax loopholes,

00:02:35.000 raising taxes on the wealthy off the table.

00:02:37.000 They continue to kind of carve out things where they won't make cuts.

00:02:40.000 That leaves cuts mainly to domestic spending, Democratic priorities.

00:02:43.000 If your recipe here is to put together a coalition that can vote for a bipartisan bill, that ain't it.

00:02:48.000 Democrats are not going to support that.

00:02:50.000 And so we go around and around and around with that deadline moving ever closer.

00:02:55.000 Garrett Haig, thank you for that.

00:02:57.000 I think there would be a huge backlash from our entire House Democratic caucus, certainly the progressives, but also in the streets.

00:03:06.000 You know, I mean, I think that this is, it's important that we don't take steps back from the very strong agenda that the President himself shepherded and led over the last two years.

00:03:16.000 But if the President agrees to spending caps or if he agrees to work requirements on certain social safety programs...

00:03:23.000 It's going to be a problem.

00:03:25.000 We do not legislate through the debt ceiling for this very reason.

00:03:28.000 Tuesday, 23 May in the year of our Lord, 2023.

00:03:33.000 Russ Vogt for the Center for Renewing America, the Center for American Renewal.

00:03:38.000 Russ, you've been one of the architects of this.

00:03:41.000 Where are we right now in the fog of war?

00:03:44.000 See through this for a second, because this morning we had a lot of momentum on coming out of the conference to really question this one, this phony one June deadline.

00:03:53.000 There's no deadline, and we had McHenry, we had Gates, sitting there going, the Treasury Department had come forward with a financial model and kind of show us their work.

00:04:02.000 And it may be, I think I'm seeing some tweets right now, McHenry may be backing off that, but where are we standing in this whole process?

00:04:08.000 I mean, I love the clips that you just showed in being able to see the absolute panic the White House and the left is in as a result of the months of framing this fight right about woke and weaponized bureaucracy.

00:04:21.000 It's not about Social Security and Medicare, and to see the White House going to Medicare cuts is pretty amazing.

00:04:27.000 But we're in a good place.

00:04:29.000 Now, the House Republicans need to hold strong.

00:04:32.000 Do the negotiators need to hold strong?

00:04:34.000 Yes, absolutely.

00:04:36.000 But I do recognize that as the Republicans in the House have made it clear to the negotiators this is what we're fighting for, the House passed bill, $5 trillion of cuts, defunding the woke and weaponized bureaucracy, going at the IRS, going at a lot of the renewable energy credits that are messing up our entire energy grid, going at every single thing that we can do to be able to get people back to work with work requirements.

00:05:04.000 As they fight for what the House passed, it doesn't matter what AOC thinks.

00:05:09.000 It is about Biden and McCarthy and the House, and the Senate will pass what Biden agrees to, and AOC can vote no, but she's irrelevant.

00:05:19.000 So we're in a good place, but they have to hold the line and insist on what they passed in the House and those spending cuts that will actually lead to less spending and a bureaucracy that's not weaponized against the American people.

00:05:34.000 So how do we – if they're all over the map right now, if they're all over the map with this, how do we get them to hold the line?

00:05:42.620 I mean the Republicans, there's certain elements of the caucus, the 20, et cetera.

00:05:47.680 They're sitting there going, hey, the best deal we've got is on the table.

00:05:51.160 But are you hearing rumblings that McCarthy's under pressure to cut a deal with the Democrats?

00:05:54.640 Otherwise, we just hold and force Treasury to show us the model.

00:05:58.740 Look, the 1 June is a total lie.

00:06:02.540 That's why they won't show you the numbers.

00:06:04.620 They won't show you that because of the total lie, and they understand by the 15th there's plenty of cash coming in.

00:06:08.760 And once you get to that, you don't have any – there's no crisis.

00:06:11.000 We can take the whole summer.

00:06:12.880 We can – as Grant said, we're going to fight along this line all summer.

00:06:16.900 So how do we get there?

00:06:18.820 How do we make sure that the caucus says show us the model?

00:06:22.180 We get there by the House negotiators not getting deal happy, and to the extent that they go back to what they passed and insist on that, and insist on 22 spending levels, pre-COVID levels.

00:06:36.620 You've got to insist on that.

00:06:37.780 That's a 20 percent cut to the bureaucracy.

00:06:41.040 That means a 30 percent cut for the Department of Education, which does nothing but critical race theory.

00:06:46.080 They've got to insist on that, and Biden will reject it at first.

00:06:49.800 He's rejecting it now, but he's going to get closer and closer to the deadline that he says that matter.

00:06:55.620 You and I know it's a fake deadline, but they have to be able to cut a deal before then because you know what?

00:07:01.620 If we get to June 2nd, and Steve Bannon and Russ Voter write that June 1st was a fake deadline, 30 to 40 years of their debt limit scaremongering goes out the window.

00:07:11.920 So the pressure is on them to reach a deal.

00:07:14.200 And McCarthy has to hold the line.

00:07:17.860 Hold the line.

00:07:19.120 Everybody goes home for Memorial Day.

00:07:21.460 It's all going to be fine.

00:07:22.300 One more time, Russ, because I've got a very special guest here.

00:07:24.940 One more time.

00:07:26.660 Tell us what we have to hold the line on 1 June.

00:07:29.440 How do we do it?

00:07:31.240 Hold the line.

00:07:32.340 Don't get deal happy.

00:07:33.800 Insist on the House position.

00:07:35.800 People want to say, what's Biden getting out of it?

00:07:37.980 He's getting a debt limit increase.

00:07:39.420 In exchange, the House have given him the terms.

00:07:42.180 The terms have already been passed.

00:07:44.460 Accept that bill, Joe Biden.

00:07:46.120 You will get the debt limit that you need for one year.

00:07:49.080 That's the deal.

00:07:50.220 And House Republicans need to insist on it.

00:07:52.700 They may get up to the June 1st deadline.

00:07:54.580 The June 1st deadline is not real.

00:07:56.560 Go over it.

00:07:57.820 Hold the line.

00:08:01.280 Hang on a second.

00:08:02.060 I'm going to bring in Congressman Lauren Boebert.

00:08:03.780 If the sun rises on the 2nd and we haven't had a deal, Russ votes 100% correct.

00:08:10.100 30 years of scaremongering people about this is over.

00:08:12.900 Congressman Boebert, your thoughts?

00:08:14.300 Yes.

00:08:14.800 No, this is absolutely an arbitrary deadline that has been presented.

00:08:19.460 You believe it's arbitrary?

00:08:20.520 I do.

00:08:21.440 What has Janet Yellen been correct about?

00:08:23.700 What has she overseen so far that she's just nailed it out of the park? 1.00

00:08:27.460 I mean, we've had banking crisis.

00:08:28.880 We've had inflation that she didn't see coming.

00:08:30.720 All of this that is taking place, and now all of a sudden, she knows exactly when we're going to.

00:08:36.320 She's an oracle. 0.65

00:08:37.180 Yeah.

00:08:37.840 Has she shown, have they had the common courtesy to show the House any set of numbers?

00:08:43.820 No.

00:08:43.920 No numbers.

00:08:44.420 No, Steve.

00:08:45.160 And actually, Congressman Gates today said we need to be bringing her in before our committees. 0.95

00:08:51.260 and name several committees that she could go before and actually produce the information that she's seeing

00:08:57.960 that makes her believe that this June 1st deadline is real.

00:09:01.560 And, you know, I would love to see that.

00:09:04.140 Let's issue that subpoena. 0.83

00:09:05.460 Let's invite her in, first of all, and get her before Congress to actually produce what she's seeing. 0.92

00:09:10.860 If she didn't come over, you would subpoena her?

00:09:13.500 You know, I think we need to be subpoenaed.

00:09:15.300 We need to use our subpoena authority a lot more than we are right now.

00:09:18.600 Okay, we're going to get into that.

00:09:19.400 Russ, what do you think?

00:09:20.500 Do you think we ought to get her over there and have an open hearing to the whole nation?

00:09:24.300 Just let her explain herself in an open hearing to Congress over maybe McHenry's committee.

00:09:29.300 Just get her over there with people to deal with this and just say, hey, look, can we see your numbers?

00:09:33.040 We want to accommodate.

00:09:34.740 We've passed a bill.

00:09:36.240 We want to accommodate you on the 1st, but we've got to make sure there's a real deadline.

00:09:39.260 You think that's smart?

00:09:40.700 No doubt about it.

00:09:41.740 And she has already admitted to this, and you put it out last night when you said that she buried the lead in her comments.

00:09:48.200 They want to be able to disguise the notion of default, to make it timely payment of everything the federal government's ever obligated.

00:09:55.600 That's not what default is.

00:09:57.040 They know it.

00:09:57.800 They just don't want to have to make the tradeoffs themselves.

00:10:02.200 Russ, how do people get to you now?

00:10:04.160 Because people ought to be on your Twitter feed and your getter feed 24-7, True Social.

00:10:08.520 Where do they get you on social media?

00:10:10.000 How do they get over to the center?

00:10:12.120 It's the same across all three channels, at RussVote, and they can get us at americarenewing.com.

00:10:17.140 We're following it closely.

00:10:18.040 The watchword is hold the line, Russ.

00:10:23.240 That's it.

00:10:25.560 Thank you, brother.

00:10:26.420 Appreciate it.

00:10:26.960 RussVote, the architect of this.

00:10:28.860 The number is 202-225-3121.

00:10:31.500 I think today when you call, instead of giving them the what for, just say, hey, we want Yellen to show her work.

00:10:39.340 Yes.

00:10:39.860 Show her work.

00:10:41.100 You agree with that, Congressman?

00:10:42.340 Do people in your district agree with that?

00:10:43.900 Would they like to see what this financial crisis is about?

00:10:46.040 Absolutely.

00:10:46.700 This federal government needs to be much more transparent than it's been in the past.

00:10:51.240 I'm grateful that we have the gavel to have actual oversight.

00:10:53.960 But there has to be transparency for the American people rather than just gaslighting on media all the time and on the news all the time.

00:11:01.340 That's all that has been taking place for years now.

00:11:04.640 The American people are kept in the dark about what's really going on.

00:11:08.420 They get talking points fed to them by the DCCC and by Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and Akeem Jeffries.

00:11:14.600 And then the media helped push that.

00:11:16.880 And they're being completely gaslit.

00:11:18.540 So let's produce the documents and show us real information.

00:11:23.320 And if you can't, well, maybe you just made the whole thing up.

00:11:26.100 And we're not going to default on June 1st.

00:11:29.220 But, you know, when I walked in here, you were saying, you know, we need to hold the line.

00:11:32.260 And Russ votes wonderful.

00:11:35.220 He's certainly helped us with the House Freedom Caucus in crafting this plan and getting the right policies in place for this.

00:11:41.860 But we cannot get deal happy.

00:11:44.420 Just as was said, we have already done our part.

00:11:48.340 If anything, I want to increase the ante.

00:11:50.480 Let's throw in H.R. 2.

00:11:51.740 Let's get some border security in with this debt ceiling increase. 0.59

00:11:56.200 And so I don't want to make any deals that lessen what we brought to the table.

00:12:01.000 Because there was already more that we could have done.

00:12:04.360 And so if anything, if they're going to keep playing this game.

00:12:07.080 You've already made your accommodations.

00:12:08.320 Yes.

00:12:08.560 And if they're going to play this game and not want to negotiate, then we should just keep up in the ante.

00:12:13.960 Let me go back to your district.

00:12:15.500 Because you had a tough general election fight.

00:12:17.680 I know you're very focused on 2024.

00:12:19.500 When you go back to those hardworking people in Colorado, the people that didn't vote for you,

00:12:23.840 what is their sense of what's going on here with the spending?

00:12:27.020 And do they feel they're being dealt with straight, that people are actually giving them the information they need

00:12:32.140 to come to some conclusion about how they make decisions on this?

00:12:35.080 It really depends on who you're listening to.

00:12:37.840 Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who believe the media.

00:12:40.200 And so they see that Republicans aren't doing enough in the House for this debt ceiling.

00:12:48.000 And they're believing that message that's coming from the White House, from Joe Biden, from Jen Psaki's replacement.

00:12:54.300 And they're saying, what are you guys going to do?

00:12:57.040 Well, we already did it.

00:12:58.340 We produced a solution for Joe Biden's problem.

00:13:02.480 And if there is a default...

00:13:03.600 And you gave an increase to the debt ceiling.

00:13:04.840 Absolutely.

00:13:05.620 And you're not happy with that, Bill.

00:13:06.940 Well, we're not happy in the world.

00:13:07.920 We're in posse, but we, in the spirit of trying to move things forward, you guys, McCarthy did a masterful job of bringing it all together, presenting it.

00:13:15.820 That's the bill that's passed.

00:13:16.760 That's the bid.

00:13:17.420 There's no...

00:13:17.940 They haven't come up with any response.

00:13:20.380 The Senate, Schumer hasn't done anything in the White House.

00:13:23.280 And we have done our part.

00:13:24.660 So now it is up to the Senate and Joe Biden to come to the table and say, okay, this is what we...

00:13:30.500 We can have some clawbacks with COVID spending and the IRA.

00:13:34.420 See, now they don't want to touch the IRA.

00:13:35.620 This is...

00:13:36.900 These are massive subsidies to the...

00:13:39.420 This is the energy bill.

00:13:40.500 The energy bill.

00:13:41.200 This is basically the bill back better.

00:13:42.640 Right.

00:13:43.180 Inflation Reduction Act.

00:13:44.540 It was...

00:13:44.900 Inflation Expansion Act is what it really is.

00:13:48.260 And it was the Green New Deal. 0.77

00:13:50.260 And Democrats brag about that every day in the House.

00:13:52.980 I'm in committee with them all the time.

00:13:54.460 And they're talking about the Green New Deal subsidies that are in there.

00:13:57.780 And it's the Inflation Reduction Act.

00:14:00.060 I mean, it's just a big con game.

00:14:01.260 We title it one way.

00:14:02.180 We load it with a bunch of other stuff and sell it.

00:14:03.940 But this is very reasonable.

00:14:06.720 And this is what the House has put forward.

00:14:08.120 The rest of the vote helped us tremendously on this.

00:14:10.580 The House Freedom Caucus, we got together.

00:14:12.320 Some of our other allies, like Congressman Gates, came to the table.

00:14:15.760 And we said, this is what we're willing to put forward in lieu of a debt ceiling increase.

00:14:23.300 Here's a question.

00:14:24.080 We're going to go to a short commercial break right now.

00:14:25.860 Here's a question while we get back.

00:14:28.280 Have you seen anything?

00:14:29.360 Are the Democrats, are they working, one, with a sense of urgency?

00:14:32.380 And number two, do you think they're really putting forward anything to actually to get to a deal?

00:14:37.700 Hang on.

00:14:38.200 All right, we'll answer that.

00:14:39.100 All right.

00:14:39.360 No, no.

00:14:39.600 We're going to leave.

00:14:40.080 We got, I want to, I want to have this audience even build through the break.

00:14:43.860 We'll be back in the war in just a second.

00:14:47.500 Congressman Lauren Boebert in the House.

00:14:49.620 Next.

00:14:49.980 President Trump recently issued a warning from his home at Mar-a-Lago.

00:15:04.960 And I want to quote this.

00:15:06.820 Our currency is crashing and will soon no longer be the world's standard, which will be the greatest defeat, frankly, in 200 years.

00:15:14.200 End quote.

00:15:14.620 He did that in the interview that I had with him a couple weeks ago at his home.

00:15:18.720 Now, there are three reasons the central banks are dumping the U.S. dollar.

00:15:26.040 Inflation, deficit spending, and our insurmountable national debt.

00:15:31.960 The fact is there's one asset that has withstood famine, wars, and political and economic upheaval dating back to biblical times.

00:15:40.280 That would be gold.

00:17:03.280 Take action.

00:17:04.600 Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.

00:17:09.940 Okay, the head of the, and they called open, you weren't here to see it, but they had the head of the Progressive Caucus and AOC saying they're going to take to the streets if there's any cuts whatsoever.

00:17:18.020 Is that a threat?

00:17:19.180 That sounded like a threat.

00:17:20.500 Really, we're going to start rioting now.

00:17:22.460 I mean, their extremism is on full display.

00:17:24.380 They are so extreme and so radical in every single one of their positions.

00:17:30.160 And just like I said, they got the media to cover for them and try to make them look reasonable and make Republicans look extreme.

00:17:36.380 But in everything that they are doing, this is extreme.

00:17:38.620 You asked me, well, maybe you're going to ask it again.

00:17:41.180 We were kind of teeing it up there.

00:17:42.240 But the urgency that the Democrats, do they have any urgency to get this taken care of?

00:17:48.020 And, no, they're fine to just sit back and put the blame on Republicans because they know they have this coalition in the media to massage that message for them and make them the good guys.

00:18:01.480 Are they actually negotiating in good faith?

00:18:04.480 Are you hearing real proposals coming forward?

00:18:07.640 And why is McCarthy even listening to this?

00:18:09.960 Because you've got a bill.

00:18:11.040 Let them pass something, right?

00:18:12.320 Right.

00:18:12.980 I don't think that we should be negotiating anything other than our bill.

00:18:17.180 We have done our job.

00:18:18.760 We passed the bill.

00:18:20.120 The Senate is the one that needs to come to the table and actually present something.

00:18:24.000 What is there to negotiate?

00:18:25.080 I haven't seen a plan.

00:18:26.240 I've seen our plan.

00:18:27.340 I haven't seen anything else.

00:18:28.680 So, you know, I wasn't a part of the meetings that took place with the folks that McCarthy sent over and the Speaker himself went there.

00:18:37.320 But, you know, there were walkouts there.

00:18:40.260 And they're saying this isn't in good faith.

00:18:42.000 So I don't know what's being said in those rooms in totality, but it doesn't sound like something that's being done in good faith.

00:18:50.600 And coming from this administration and from the Democrat Party, is there anything ever in good faith?

00:18:57.300 You were part of the Magnificent Six and also part of the 20.

00:19:02.800 And you're part of the House Freedom Caucus.

00:19:05.040 Where's the Freedom Caucus coming?

00:19:06.340 Because they've been the rocks on this.

00:19:07.800 We're going to have Ralph Norman on next.

00:19:09.880 He's one of the leaders in the 20.

00:19:13.260 Talk to me about where the Freedom Caucus is in this.

00:19:16.000 They dug in?

00:19:16.960 Yeah.

00:19:17.440 So, I mean, this was our plan.

00:19:18.840 This was our bill that we passed.

00:19:20.500 We were the ones that had a press conference with senators and said, this is what we need to do.

00:19:26.340 If we are going to agree to increase the debt ceiling, then this is what we want to see happen.

00:19:30.360 And that's the plan that we ultimately passed.

00:19:32.280 And I'm glad that Congressman Ralph Norman is coming on and joining you.

00:19:35.800 That'll be great.

00:19:36.540 You know, he's on the Rules Committee, so he's been very active in how all of this is going to play out and certainly was one of the 20 and a fellow Freedom Caucus member.

00:19:45.700 But some of us with the Freedom Caucus are getting together this evening.

00:19:50.960 You know, we're going to talk more about this.

00:19:52.200 But, I mean, I think that I certainly hope you're not going to see any of us break off.

00:19:57.740 But the Freedom Caucus, I mean, that's a conservative conscience of the Republican Party.

00:20:02.180 And these are the guys and girls that I turn to, you know, when I need help and understanding.

00:20:06.900 And, you know, they have my back and I have theirs.

00:20:09.000 So I think that if we remain strong, we might be able to pull this off.

00:20:17.160 How can, I don't understand, with him, with McCarthy on tenterhooks, and he's doing a good job and really an incredible job of the messaging coming out to the sticks, what he did on the Senate Terrace the other day was great, that unity of this thing.

00:20:29.980 Why would he give that up?

00:20:31.020 All the polling, we're going to have Mark Mitchell on from Rasmussen tomorrow morning.

00:20:34.240 The polling's off the charts.

00:20:35.420 The American people, it's like 56%, 67%.

00:20:38.020 They understand things have to be cut.

00:20:40.120 We can't, you know, we shouldn't be taking any money.

00:20:42.800 McCarthy's thing is saying, why are we paying for guys surfing on couches that won't do 20 hours a week for Medicaid?

00:20:50.180 And we're borrowing the money from China.

00:20:51.520 Yes.

00:20:51.940 Your constituents understand that.

00:20:53.380 Yes.

00:20:53.720 Why are we not, why are the rest of the Republicans not dug in with you guys?

00:20:58.020 From the messaging that I've heard from the speaker, he has dug in on this.

00:21:02.440 And so going back to the last segment of your show where we had a vote on here, we cannot get deal happy and just start offering cuts and negotiating with ourselves.

00:21:13.400 We have to see a plan, and really, we have to hold strong to what we pass.

00:21:18.100 We have the Chamber of Commerce that's supporting what we passed out of the House.

00:21:22.000 I mean, come on.

00:21:23.500 When's the last time they came to our side?

00:21:26.000 So this is very reasonable.

00:21:28.580 It's understandable to cut these hundreds of billions of dollars in areas.

00:21:32.820 And I don't want to hear the excuse of we'll take care of it in the appropriations process.

00:21:37.260 There's plenty we're going to take care of in the appropriations process.

00:21:40.300 But let's get something now, too.

00:21:42.920 You know, we're not going to increase.

00:21:44.800 I don't want to see an increase to 2025.

00:21:47.220 That number is far too much.

00:21:49.460 You mean to push the timeline from the spring of next year, this thing would go to March or April or May, to push it to after the inauguration of 2025, which would basically give them $4 trillion, $5 trillion.

00:22:00.500 That's exactly what that would do.

00:22:02.020 And so I think as long as the American people continue to show their support for the plan that we have passed and say that they don't want anything that reduces the amount of cuts or extends the timeline,

00:22:14.900 then the speaker will continue to see that polling and the response of the American people and will stand strong with us.

00:22:20.980 We fought for these rules to empower the speaker, for him to be a better speaker.

00:22:25.700 And he's done a really, really great job.

00:22:27.840 And that's exactly what I want to continue to see him do.

00:22:30.840 So I hope that we can all stay united throughout this.

00:22:34.780 But I think the speaker knows that we have his back from the House Freedom Caucus as long as we can see this and stay strong.

00:22:45.700 If he holds the line.

00:22:46.640 Yes.

00:22:47.100 Let's talk about what else is going on.

00:22:48.740 You've got an invasion on the Southern border.

00:22:50.260 Do you think that the conference and the Republicans are moving with enough alacrity?

00:22:57.220 They're being aggressive enough on these subpoenas.

00:22:59.260 They're being aggressive enough on these investigations.

00:23:01.780 They're being aggressive enough on trying to stop this madness on the invasion of the Southern border.

00:23:06.100 Steve, I always think we could be more aggressive.

00:23:08.620 I'm so shocked that Lauren Boebert doesn't think we're aggressive enough. 1.00

00:23:11.900 Do more, do more.

00:23:13.280 No, so I do want to see more people before us in committees.

00:23:17.700 Are you using the subpoena power enough?

00:23:19.500 I don't think it's enough, no.

00:23:20.820 We've issued tens of subpoenas.

00:23:22.620 We need to issue hundreds of subpoenas.

00:23:25.620 And as far as the border, going back to our last segment talk there, I want to up the ante with this debt ceiling increase and add HR to a border security bill.

00:23:36.320 We fought for that in the speaker's race as well.

00:23:38.340 We demanded that the Texas-built border security plan come to the floor, and we were able to get that passed.

00:23:44.180 But is the Senate going to pass that?

00:23:45.860 Is Joe Biden going to sign that?

00:23:47.240 Well, let's up the ante and add it to this.

00:23:49.100 In other words, you would say, hey, you've got to close the business Friday to accept what we've got.

00:23:53.760 If you don't, we're going to add – pulling out of the WHO, adding some border security.

00:23:58.280 We'll add a couple more things to it.

00:23:59.440 Right.

00:23:59.540 We're not getting weaker.

00:24:00.380 We'll get stronger.

00:24:00.740 And if you don't agree to that by the middle of next week, we're going to add some more stuff.

00:24:03.820 We're moving forward.

00:24:04.900 There's plenty of stuff that we could add on there, demands for a must-pass piece of legislation.

00:24:09.420 So I think Joe Biden should take the increase that he's getting and see that we are at a very reasonable place, and we'll just keep adding more onto it.

00:24:19.200 But also, I was talking today, and it was said that we need to be using the House floor to actually be pushing the message of all of these things that are in the debt ceiling instead of the bills that we're passing right now.

00:24:32.700 I mean, sure, we've got some good bills coming up, but why don't we have the 87,000 IRS agents bring that back into the mix?

00:24:38.540 Why don't we have the IRA and defunding that and all of these other things?

00:24:44.140 There's so much great stuff in here.

00:24:45.240 So many things, and we can bring that and use the House floor.

00:24:48.160 We haven't done enough about messaging that because people – like I said, we're going to have Mark Mitchell from Rasmus.

00:24:52.880 The polling is off the chart.

00:24:54.520 The country has your back on this.

00:24:56.100 They understand something has to happen, and they don't realize why it's not happening.

00:24:59.500 Yes.

00:24:59.920 And the Democrats can be – when they're saying we're going to take to the streets, if you have any – they said we've worked so hard to get here.

00:25:05.160 If you cut a nickel of spending, they're going to riot.

00:25:08.140 We worked so hard to get to $32 trillion in debt.

00:25:12.500 You see, but they don't care.

00:25:13.060 Don't take it away from us.

00:25:14.000 They don't care.

00:25:14.600 Right.

00:25:14.780 They could care less about that.

00:25:15.820 It's irresponsible.

00:25:16.780 Do you think – when you issue these subpoenas, particularly when Ray and the FBI just – they head to high noon, the administration, this regime is just in your grill about they're not going to cooperate at all.

00:25:29.080 Yes, they have no fear of repercussions.

00:25:33.320 It's their administration.

00:25:34.660 It's Biden's DOJ.

00:25:36.500 They're not investigating the things that we're putting forward, which is very frustrating.

00:25:41.400 You've got Hunter Biden.

00:25:42.120 You've got the big guy, Joe Biden himself.

00:25:44.100 Look what Chairman James Comer uncovered in the Oversight Committee that we have shell companies from China.

00:25:52.800 $10 million.

00:25:53.200 $10 million to nine Biden family members.

00:25:56.780 Grandkids.

00:25:57.920 Exactly.

00:25:58.600 And there is no Biden family business.

00:26:01.580 It's selling access to Joe.

00:26:03.020 Yeah.

00:26:03.260 We've got a couple of minutes.

00:26:04.140 I know you've got to bounce.

00:26:05.240 Right now, where is the center of gravity of your work?

00:26:08.260 You're one of the firebrands. 0.98

00:26:09.340 You're one of the leaders.

00:26:10.200 You're this rising generation.

00:26:11.520 Where are you spending your time when people – I know you do media, but where are you spending your time behind the scenes working on this?

00:26:17.320 Yes.

00:26:17.940 Well, so obviously the debt ceiling is number one right now, but we've got other things that are coming.

00:26:21.560 That's your number one priority?

00:26:22.140 That is number one right now.

00:26:23.700 But also we have other things coming up.

00:26:26.100 We have a farm bill coming up.

00:26:27.280 We have appropriations coming up.

00:26:28.620 I've already been working through the appropriations request, things that we could defund.

00:26:32.800 People don't understand.

00:26:33.540 We're going to get another bite of the app for the appropriations, correct?

00:26:35.860 Yes, yes.

00:26:36.580 We're going to take the woke and weaponized out then? 0.88

00:26:38.580 We are going to defund the woke and weaponized areas of our federal government. 0.75

00:26:43.360 Yes, that will be in the appropriations process.

00:26:45.260 That stuff that we're already working through, we have got pages and pages of departments and programs that could be defunded because they are woke and weaponized.

00:26:55.340 I'm very excited about that.

00:26:56.280 I'm excited to put forward – put to use the Holman rule and go after these.

00:27:00.600 They wouldn't actually terminate people if they didn't –

00:27:02.440 Reduce their salary significantly.

00:27:04.980 And so these bureaucrats that have overreached, bring them in. 1.00

00:27:08.320 And I want to be very aggressive with that.

00:27:11.200 But then also, you know what I mean?

00:27:12.160 On a day-to-day, we have the Oversight Committee.

00:27:13.840 We have these hearings.

00:27:15.380 But, Steve, natural resources is my passion.

00:27:18.620 We have to be energy secure again.

00:27:20.340 We have to be energy independent.

00:27:22.300 We all want cleaner air, cleaner water. 0.66

00:27:25.480 But we can't turn this economy around until we're full-spectrum energy dominant again.

00:27:29.220 Right, right.

00:27:29.620 Yes.

00:27:30.020 So that all plays together.

00:27:32.300 How tough is that with their obsession with the Green New Deal?

00:27:35.500 Because it's a – 0.86

00:27:36.940 It's a religion.

00:27:38.300 It's a religion.

00:27:38.920 It's a theological discussion with those folks, right?

00:27:41.220 Yes.

00:27:41.360 At least on these committees.

00:27:42.380 Yes.

00:27:42.920 They're not rational.

00:27:43.620 They are not rational at all.

00:27:46.360 And I travel to these co-ops, these energy co-ops, and they're like – they want us to be completely green and renewable by 2035, by 2050.

00:27:57.100 It's absolutely not possible.

00:27:59.460 They don't have the battery capacity.

00:28:01.560 They don't have the storage.

00:28:02.360 They don't have the transmission lines to even connect it to the grid if they did.

00:28:06.160 I mean, none of it is there yet.

00:28:08.860 And so, I mean, these companies are struggling to comply with regulations, and, you know, it's just making it harder and harder.

00:28:15.540 We just need to produce –

00:28:16.720 Hold the line.

00:28:17.520 Yes.

00:28:17.860 Okay.

00:28:18.240 How do people – on social media and the website, where do they get to you on social media?

00:28:21.880 On social media, I'm at Lauren Boebert on Twitter and Lauren Boebert for Congress on Facebook.

00:28:27.860 And my website is LaurenForFreedom.com.

00:28:30.580 And let me tell you, I am the number one target on the DCCC's list.

00:28:33.980 We know that.

00:28:34.520 So if people are so inclined, where do they go to make a donation?

00:28:38.280 LaurenForFreedom.com is where you can come to help support me.

00:28:41.140 Every little bit helps.

00:28:42.300 They certainly came after us.

00:28:43.480 We were outspent.

00:28:44.100 I've already been outspent in the first quarter by my Democrat opponent, and they smell blood in the water.

00:28:48.880 They're coming after me because I am coming after them.

00:28:51.840 You're coming after them.

00:28:52.800 Thank you for coming in here.

00:28:53.740 Hold the line.

00:28:54.420 Hold the line, Steve.

00:28:55.560 Don't get deal happy.

00:28:56.880 I love that.

00:28:57.680 Next couple of days, hold the line.

00:28:59.080 Show us your work.

00:28:59.760 Short commercial break.

00:29:00.920 Ralph Norman, South Carolina, next. 0.95

00:29:04.120 Junk science.

00:29:05.760 That's what the doctor called many of those fruit and vegetable supplements.

00:29:10.480 Junk science because they use extracts of common produce department fruits and vegetables with few health benefits.

00:29:19.680 Now, look, I take Field of Greens because it's the whole organic fruit and vegetable, not a watered-down supplement.

00:29:25.740 And it's backed by a better health promise.

00:29:29.760 Each ingredient in Field of Greens was scientifically chosen to support vital organs like heart, lungs, and kidney health.

00:29:36.840 Others support my immune system, blood pressure, metabolism, and healthy weight loss.

00:29:43.540 I don't eat as healthy as I should.

00:29:46.060 I got that.

00:29:46.860 I know it.

00:29:47.520 I own it.

00:29:48.020 But that's why I take Field of Greens.

00:29:51.020 Like me, you'll probably look and feel healthier fast and have way more energy.

00:29:55.760 And I mean way more energy.

00:29:57.900 But your best proof will be at your next checkup when your doctor says,

00:30:03.820 Hey, whatever you're doing, it's working.

00:30:23.520 Do that today.

00:30:24.920 Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.

00:30:30.280 Welcome back.

00:30:31.500 Now we're going to go to one of the leaders of this, Congressman Ralph Norris, South Carolina.

00:30:37.860 By the way, the number is 202-225-3121 to call and talk to your congressman.

00:30:43.900 202-224-3121 to your senator, the congressman.

00:30:47.580 Make sure they understand.

00:30:49.060 Hold the line.

00:30:50.040 And now it's we want to see the work.

00:30:51.880 Because we've been standing here for weeks and weeks and weeks.

00:30:54.580 Where's Janet Yellins? 1.00

00:30:55.500 How do we know this June 1st date's a real date?

00:30:57.620 Only number she puts on anything is the date on the letter.

00:31:00.780 Congressman Norman, you're a businessman.

00:31:02.780 You've had to work with projections.

00:31:04.160 You've done financing.

00:31:05.140 You're a real estate developer.

00:31:06.880 Have you ever seen a situation like this where the people kind of trying to negotiate a deal

00:31:10.560 won't show you any of the numbers, sir?

00:31:13.880 Not only will they not show you the numbers, Steve, they won't put it in writing.

00:31:16.800 They'll talk in these glowing terms, but they don't put it in writing.

00:31:21.060 It's just like Janet Yellen throwing these dates out. 1.00

00:31:24.000 Nobody believes that.

00:31:26.060 And, you know, Matt Gaetz did a great job to say, let's subpoena Janet Yellen.

00:31:30.160 Let's get her in and make her answer. 1.00

00:31:33.580 Where are the numbers to back up this date, these dates that she's been saying?

00:31:39.160 And I think now, you know, originally she was June 1, now she's talking about maybe June 15th.

00:31:46.180 I mean, you know, this thing could be July or August for all we know, but main thing,

00:31:51.680 put it in writing, testify, and give us something to go on to see because you have people that

00:31:57.500 can follow the numbers and to not provide numbers is insane.

00:32:01.360 Do you think that that's going to happen?

00:32:05.720 Do you think there's going to be a real effort now to try to invite her to come down?

00:32:08.740 And if she doesn't come and subpoena her and say, look, we need to have a presentation.

00:32:12.460 Will you actually show us the cash flow here?

00:32:16.060 And, I mean, you've dealt with cash flow all the time.

00:32:18.380 You show us the cash flow, use of proceeds, sources of proceeds, and, you know, sources and uses.

00:32:25.040 And we can make a determination about this process going forward.

00:32:28.860 Do you think that will happen?

00:32:31.380 You know, even if she answers a subpoena, which she'll have to do, it's just smoke and mirrors with her. 0.99

00:32:38.040 I mean, what can you trust with this administration?

00:32:40.520 I think they are playing the, you know, the nation's going to be in turmoil, the debt limits reach.

00:32:48.380 You can't pay bonds.

00:32:49.500 You can't pay Social Security, veterans benefits.

00:32:51.800 I think that's the only leverage they think they have.

00:32:56.040 So I think, you know, the longer this goes on, though, the more she's going to have to at least have something for us to look at.

00:33:05.260 Because, I mean, why not?

00:33:07.340 If she's confident on her figures and she's confident on the dates, she's obviously coming up with them from somewhere.

00:33:14.240 But it's politics, Steve.

00:33:15.620 You've been around.

00:33:16.360 You know this is just trying to play it out, trying to make the Republicans fall,

00:33:20.540 which I don't think we're going to do.

00:33:23.100 It could be some tweaks, but it's going to have to be what we presented.

00:33:27.680 The Senate and this administration is pretty much the final offer.

00:33:31.920 And we need to be adding to it.

00:33:33.460 We need to be doubling down on it.

00:33:35.660 And, you know, I would, Chip Roy suggested putting the immigration bill in.

00:33:40.080 We need to do that.

00:33:40.900 And the longer it goes, because here, you know, Biden was in Japan for what?

00:33:46.740 What's he doing there rather than what's more important than, as he says, the debt ceiling and the survival of America?

00:33:54.200 Politico had this article that finally showed that the Treasury guys understand the prioritization of payments.

00:34:01.560 Basically, enough cash coming in to pay the interest, to pay any face amount that rolls over.

00:34:08.100 That we're talking about, and she's changed the nomenclature, a congressman, from, you know, a default to now pay your bills.

00:34:13.920 Well, it's a $6 trillion budget.

00:34:15.380 You've got contractors at Department of Labor and Education.

00:34:17.800 I mean, these guys are going to be stretched a week or five days.

00:34:21.820 It's not the end of the world.

00:34:23.280 Is that what they're trying to do, is three-card money where they change?

00:34:25.980 Now they've got to have every bill that's got to be paid exactly on time on June 1st.

00:34:30.040 I think that's—

00:34:30.200 Or the whole—the full faith in credit is going to collapse here in the United States.

00:34:33.660 Is that what they're trying to do?

00:34:35.140 That's the message that she's going to put out.

00:34:37.200 That's the message that the handlers that are—well, the cabal that's running this administration will try to scare their American people.

00:34:45.080 I mean, you remember Obama.

00:34:46.280 He shut down some parks and some government buildings that didn't get cleaned, and they'll try everything.

00:34:52.240 This group knows no bounds, and all they want to do is be able to keep the budget, keep spending, keep the credit card, and we're just not going to let them do that.

00:35:02.260 As you know, with the speaker fight, it's one of the big things that we reminded Kevin McCarthy of today, who, by the way, has done a good job.

00:35:10.240 But she's going to have to prove it, Janet Yellen, and for whatever it's worth, make some kind of a statement that is backed up by if, let's say, a bond payment's not going to be met, which bonds?

00:35:23.700 And what about the taxes coming in from those states like California, who've been delayed from COVID?

00:35:28.960 That's going to be revenue coming in. 0.97

00:35:30.860 And so she can't just play ignorant. 0.85

00:35:33.280 Now, she can try to get by with words, as they always do, and emotion, but it's just a different day now. 0.94

00:35:38.640 And Americans are feeling inflation at every level.

00:35:45.000 Nothing has gotten better under this administration, and the debt has taken on a new meaning, I think, for most Americans now.

00:35:55.820 You're a businessman, real estate developer, dealt with banks, dealt with finance.

00:35:59.700 When you hear even what their offers are, their logic, are they talking in the terms that adults talk when they have to work through budgets, whether it's a personal budget or a plan for a small business or real estate or buying a house, a mortgage?

00:36:15.960 Are you hearing any rationality coming from their side, or are they just talking a different language than we talk, sir?

00:36:24.340 They're talking a different language, and they're talking something they don't understand.

00:36:28.140 Most of these bureaucrats who are masquerading as politicians have never had a real job.

00:36:34.700 They wouldn't understand a balance sheet if it was spelled out in ABCs.

00:36:39.980 They just don't go there.

00:36:42.080 And you look at all the, you know, what has been said to date, it's basically nothing other than platitudes on why we're in the shape we're in.

00:36:50.840 I mean, Steve, imagine this is an administration that is not cutting $1 from anything.

00:36:55.460 If you run a peanut stand, you can find a dollar.

00:36:58.560 He just, he's made it clear.

00:37:00.360 And all the reporters ask me, have you got a deal?

00:37:02.520 Have you got a deal?

00:37:03.300 No.

00:37:03.880 I mean, he's made his ambition is to just keep spending.

00:37:09.740 We heard today that he may be offering, instead of having the 22 budget for the 24 budget, put the 23, which has had all the COVID spending in it.

00:37:19.960 But that's just not going to fly now.

00:37:22.640 And we're pretty well set on everything that we had, the 22 being the 24 budget, cutting all the IRS agents, the student loans, and all of that.

00:37:32.800 But we've got to double down on it the longer it takes.

00:37:35.820 It is irresponsible for this administration to go this long with not having numbers or not having something in writing.

00:37:42.480 And the best thing we could do is say, you know, if we don't have it in writing by the end of this week, we're going home and we'll not come back until you have something.

00:37:51.640 Now, we've got next week off anyway.

00:37:53.300 But as it goes on, and I can see this going on into July as they amp up the pressure on Republicans to give in.

00:38:00.820 I don't think it's going to work this time, though.

00:38:04.180 I 100% agree with you.

00:38:06.780 One other element.

00:38:07.900 I don't think people, and I don't think we do a good enough job messaging.

00:38:12.200 You have given him a debt ceiling increase.

00:38:16.460 You've attached with it a number of very logical, very rational pieces to that to get to that.

00:38:23.620 And you've set a deadline, I think, that will come up again, the $1.5 trillion or March, April, and May of next year.

00:38:29.760 My understanding is in their even discussions, one thing they're adamant about is that it's got to get out of the presidential season.

00:38:36.940 It's going to have to be after the inauguration in 2025.

00:38:40.200 My back of the envelope math says that could be as much as a $4 trillion or more debt ceiling increase.

00:38:47.800 Is that type of insanity?

00:38:49.180 Would anybody in your caucus, anybody in your conference really consider that as a possibility?

00:38:56.020 No.

00:38:56.500 All along, the number we heard on the debt ceiling increase was $4 to $6 trillion.

00:39:02.400 I mean, imagine that.

00:39:03.500 That tacked on to the $32 trillion, and I would argue when you put Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, it's much larger than that.

00:39:11.200 But, yeah, he wants to try to, one, make the claim that we're holding him hostage, which it's not.

00:39:16.600 And, two, he wants to get it past the presidential election because he didn't want to deal with it.

00:39:21.820 He wants to put his head in the sand, as he has on all these other issues.

00:39:25.840 But, I mean, again, it took a lot of convincing for Kevin McCarthy to give us, to give him any type of an increase.

00:39:35.940 And $1.5 trillion is more than I would have wanted, but we did get substantial reductions that had to go along with that.

00:39:45.360 And we put the timeline on it, March, April, and May, where it ends.

00:39:51.960 But, Steve, they will spend every dollar we give them.

00:39:54.440 They know no bounds.

00:39:55.980 They think printing money is what their job is.

00:40:00.280 This government is their job, and it's killing the country, and I think the American people will judge them because of that.

00:40:07.720 We've got to stick tight, though.

00:40:09.060 We cannot break from what we sent them in writing that no one said we could do, but we did.

00:40:16.600 Do you think they've been, since they haven't given you anything back in writing,

00:40:19.760 or is your belief they're being straight, that the Biden regime is being straight with the House Republicans?

00:40:27.760 No.

00:40:28.200 Their plan, I will give them credit, understand leverage, and I think they think the longer this holds out,

00:40:36.840 they will get the squishy Republicans to say, well, let's start negotiating.

00:40:41.580 Well, negotiating what?

00:40:42.640 Our negotiating has been done.

00:40:44.760 And so, you know, I think they're just going to ride this out, and it's up to us to put the pressure.

00:40:49.480 We ought to be having a press conference, the Freedom Caucus, and those 20 of us who put the concessions on the speaker.

00:41:00.660 We ought to be having press conferences every week, and I think you'll see that as time goes on.

00:41:05.640 All of us are messaging what exactly it means, what we have presented, which is a far cry from what most of us would have wanted as far as cuts.

00:41:16.460 But it does get the ball going in the right direction.

00:41:19.580 The spending is downward, and it's in the right direction.

00:41:23.220 But this is by no means a cure-all.

00:41:27.700 It's a first step, but that's all it is.

00:41:29.580 This stairway is a long stairway.

00:41:31.180 Do you believe – let's talk about the offer.

00:41:35.960 Would you give them until close of business Friday to come back with a set of numbers and a response?

00:41:40.700 If not, you add getting out of the WHO, border security, a couple, three other things.

00:41:46.600 Do you think there's an appetite to press the bet here and to increase – to basically increase our offer, make it tougher if they don't accept what's on the table?

00:41:57.920 Absolutely.

00:41:58.520 It's getting to that point.

00:41:59.420 And particularly if we just get words from Yellen when she does testify.

00:42:03.980 And I think it's time now to say no more – I'm tired of, again, the press saying there's been no – any results on the talks.

00:42:15.320 Well, it's time to stop talking and just meeting for the sake of meeting.

00:42:19.280 Put it in writing.

00:42:20.080 If I sold you a shopping center, it would be in writing.

00:42:23.920 Or if I sold you a toaster, it would be in writing.

00:42:26.600 It's time for the man to put it in writing or no more meetings and let him tell the American people why it's not significant enough to put something in writing.

00:42:37.200 Because right now, we're just going back and forth.

00:42:39.920 And to negotiate against ourselves goes against everything anybody in the business arena has ever known.

00:42:46.880 It just doesn't make sense.

00:42:48.720 And we're having these talks.

00:42:50.940 And it's not for us to be eager.

00:42:53.340 It's up for him to come back and say we either accept it or we don't, or here's why, and then let the conversation begin.

00:43:00.780 But it's time to go home as far as not – and ending this charade of endless meetings that up to this date has produced nothing.

00:43:09.480 Congressman, can I ask you just a whole – briefly through the – we're going to take a short commercial break.

00:43:15.400 I've got a couple more questions.

00:43:17.080 And you're hearing a lot of wisdom here because Congressman Norman has negotiated many, many deals.

00:43:23.760 And that's one of the things I see here.

00:43:24.940 It's just – it's a complete amateur hour, how this is being handled.

00:43:28.980 We're going to take a short commercial break.

00:43:30.400 We're going to return.

00:43:31.360 Congressman Ralph Norman from South Carolina, a very experienced businessman and one of the real architects of this.

00:43:37.760 He's also on the Rules Committee.

00:43:38.900 So he knows the whole process of how this has to get through.

00:43:42.620 Short commercial break.

00:43:43.640 We're going to be back in the room in just a moment.

00:43:45.800 Take it down, C-C-E. 1.00

00:43:48.260 Take it down, C-C-E. 1.00

00:43:50.800 Take it down, C-C-E. 1.00

00:43:54.140 Everything's just beginning.

00:43:56.800 But the games you want to play.

00:44:00.380 Bring it on and I will fight to the end.

00:44:02.580 Just watch and see.

00:44:03.760 It's all started.

00:44:05.920 Everything's begun.

00:44:07.220 And you are over.

00:44:10.400 Because we're taking down the C-C-P. 1.00

00:44:14.440 Spread the word all through Hong Kong.

00:44:16.740 We will fight till they're all gone.

00:44:19.260 We rejoice when there's no more. 0.94

00:44:21.160 Let's take down the C-C-P. 1.00

00:44:23.140 In my younger days, I was a naval officer on a destroyer.

00:44:27.320 In fact, I was the A-gang officer in charge of all the engineering systems that were not main propulsion.

00:44:33.780 And one of those was air purification.

00:44:36.280 And I can tell you the standards of the United States Navy are second to none.

00:44:39.780 If all home air purifiers are the same, why did the U.S. Department of Defense select EnviroCleanse to protect and purify the air on board our Navy ships?

00:44:50.040 Because of EnviroCleanse, advanced mineral technology goes beyond ordinary HEPA filters to destroy airborne illness causing cold and flu viruses, including COVID.

00:45:02.000 EnviroCleanse is the new science in air purification.

00:45:05.000 And now you can order one for your home.

00:45:08.200 This is how you help stop colds and flus from taking your whole family down.

00:45:12.460 This is how you destroy allergy-inflaming toxins and mold from the air your family breathes.

00:45:17.120 In fact, this hospital-grade technology is so powerful that it promises far fewer colds and allergies and better sleep.

00:46:56.760 We're going to get you more details about this so everybody can participate.

00:47:00.560 Congressman Norman, here's what our audience appreciates.

00:47:04.000 You don't talk like a politician.

00:47:06.000 You talk like a businessman.

00:47:06.940 Our audience is working-class people, small entrepreneurs, the middle class.

00:47:13.580 All they want to do is be dealt with straight.

00:47:16.580 They just want common sense, plain talk, no hide-the-football.

00:47:21.060 It's refreshing.

00:47:22.220 I remember when we first had you on here early, I think in January, when you came on and you said,

00:47:27.340 hey, I got nothing against Kevin McCarthy, but I stood up and said, you voted for all these bills before.

00:47:31.520 We've got to stop this.

00:47:32.360 You were the first guy to really stand up and say, it's all going to come down to this debt ceiling negotiations.

00:47:38.620 Given where we are now, in your kind of common sense, practical, no-backdown attitude,

00:47:44.440 are we where you think we ought to be, and are you comfortable tonight as you head over to the House Freedom Caucus meeting tonight

00:47:53.340 that we're going to hold the line?

00:47:57.360 Well, if you look at it, Steve, we really, other than we put something in writing

00:48:02.340 and we got the necessary 218 votes to get over to the Senate.

00:48:07.040 Now, our task is not done.

00:48:09.080 We won't be successful unless we carry this thing through to the end.

00:48:13.780 Now, I think that it's going to get a lot rougher over the next couple of weeks.

00:48:18.960 I think that the fact that what we said at Caucus today was very meaningful.

00:48:24.980 People are dug in.

00:48:26.980 And it's people that are coming up to us and saying, one, let's hold the line.

00:48:33.200 Let's don't give in.

00:48:34.620 And it's my opinion.

00:48:35.700 And if we do give in and, I mean, basically go to smoke and mirrors that most of the political hacks around here have done in the past,

00:48:45.260 we lose the confidence of the American people because the ship has already sailed with what our proposal is.

00:48:51.660 And we're so far apart now that the Biden administration, the only thing they can do is try to wait this thing out and let the public pressure build.

00:49:02.680 They did that on the 20 of us, though.

00:49:05.280 I mean, the public pressure, the media and all, I mean, that's just their playbook.

00:49:10.100 It didn't work.

00:49:10.860 And I don't think it's going to work on this debt ceiling.

00:49:12.980 Now, we've got people who, you know, they're not going to join in on voting unless we get something big in return that makes financial sense.

00:49:22.720 We won't do it.

00:49:23.360 He can't get the 218 to pass the House.

00:49:26.440 And I don't care how much I hear the Senate can't pass it or Biden just isn't going to, you know, we're going to default.

00:49:31.860 We just got to ride that out.

00:49:33.720 And we'll have the confidence back of the American people.

00:49:37.380 Before I let you go, the people in your district, where are their heads at right now on this topic?

00:49:45.480 A lot of them don't understand how it affects them.

00:49:48.340 I mean, when you hear the debt ceiling, the difference now, while they may not see that, what they do understand is the price they're paying at the pump.

00:49:59.780 They understand the crime that's going up.

00:50:01.840 They're seeing on TV screens all over the country.

00:50:04.560 They understand the people coming across the border.

00:50:06.660 That is affecting South Carolina.

00:50:09.480 They understand that nothing has come down.

00:50:13.280 And that's what's got them concerned.

00:50:16.100 And I think I sense in South Carolina people are, for the first time, genuinely concerned about the survival of the country.

00:50:25.260 And, you know, I'm as frustrated I have been.

00:50:28.660 And it'll be a total frustration if we can't get this bill across in substantially the same form that we presented it and, again, put some financial sanity back in an administration that knows no bounds.

00:50:43.420 They're totally sold out to other countries.

00:50:47.300 And it's a shame.

00:50:48.500 I do think we will do it, though.

00:50:50.100 And I do think it will be successful.

00:50:51.460 I just want to make sure I understand this.

00:50:55.680 In a state like South Carolina with the patriots and the hard work, grit, determination, you actually think now there are folks down there that think that the end of the republic could be before us if we don't get a grip on this?

00:51:09.500 I think it will.

00:51:11.660 I mean, think about this.

00:51:12.900 Another four years under this administration, take the Supreme Court alone. 0.80

00:51:17.600 Take what the damage that would happen, along with everything else.

00:51:21.620 And they're saying it's now never.

00:51:23.180 And they're looking on the debt ceiling.

00:51:25.240 While it may not, in their minds, affect them, they know their children are going to have to pay it off.

00:51:30.660 They know the $95,000, or they've heard the figure of the $95,000 for every newborn in this country is stuck with that tab.

00:51:38.960 They know the families in America are roughly in the $250,000 range debt that they owe.

00:51:49.840 They understand that.

00:51:51.320 And they know we can't keep going like we're going.

00:51:53.820 And so they're behind it, and they want to see us succeed.

00:51:56.440 We can't fail.

00:51:59.200 Congressman Norman, how do people get to your site, social media, all of it?

00:52:46.460 I want to give you some breaking news from one of the people associated with negotiating.

00:52:50.940 They're saying the negotiations have stopped for the evening, right?

00:52:54.400 These negotiations that are not in good faith by the Biden regime, but no more negotiations.

00:52:59.820 What they ought to do instead of negotiating is send Janet Yellen tomorrow morning with a couple of her Treasury grundoons, 1.00

00:53:06.380 get over there in front of a committee, and make a presentation and let us see the math.

00:53:10.540 Let us see the work.

00:53:12.440 Okay?
