this is the primal scream of a dying regime pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on
00:00:09.700
these people here's not got a free shot all these networks lying about the people the people have
00:00:16.280
had a belly full of it i know you don't like hearing that i know you try to do everything
00:00:20.040
the world to stop that but you're not going to stop it it's going to happen and where do people
00:00:23.640
like that go to share the big line mega media i wish in my soul i wish that any of these people
00:00:31.460
had a conscience ask yourself what is my task and what is my purpose if that answer is to save my
00:00:39.380
country this country will be saved war room here's your host stephen k band
00:00:46.600
to our money lead drama unfolding on the floor of the house of representatives right this moment
00:00:55.900
as a vote is expected tonight on the debt ceiling compromise bill cnn's manu raju joins us now
00:01:02.180
live from capitol hill monday tell us what's going on that's right this is the rule that must be
00:01:06.540
approved by the house before the full house can consider the bill to suspend the debt limit until
00:01:12.140
january 2025 typically these rules were essentially sets of parameters for the floor debate typically
00:01:17.220
they're approved along straight party lines no members from majority party vote against it no
00:01:22.140
members of the minority party vote for it this is different i mean amid concerns from the far right
00:01:27.500
of the house republican conference speaker mccarthy is struggling to get the votes on the just
00:01:32.260
republican votes alone in order to get this rule approved if all members are voting he needs 218 votes
00:01:37.920
to get this approved right now he has 187 votes there are 29 republican votes voting against it you he
00:01:46.880
can only afford to lose no more than four republican votes in order for any bill to be approved along
00:01:53.100
straight party lines at the moment democrats themselves are voting against it that's what the
00:01:58.320
direction from the democratic leadership was to the rank and file to vote against it then but there are
00:02:03.660
42 democrats who have not yet voted they're holding out their votes and they're expected ultimately to
00:02:09.640
give the speaker the votes in order to get this rule approved but it's very clear the democrats are
00:02:14.860
trying to make the speaker sweat try to extract potentially some concessions we'll see if any deals
00:02:20.460
are cut on the house floor but at the moment right now the leadership does not on the republican side
00:02:26.360
does not have the votes to get this rule approved now our our colleagues within the chamber say the
00:02:30.860
speaker is in the chamber he looks pretty relaxed he does expect this rule ultimately to get approved
00:02:36.180
but at the moment right now it's going very slowly 188 votes in the affirmative that's not enough 188
00:02:42.520
republican votes 29 republican votes against it and counting five republicans have not voted yet we'll
00:02:48.420
see what ultimately happens here jake but if and when this rule is approved that will be the first step
00:02:53.020
before the full house votes tonight and to suspend the debt limit pass this bill that it was negotiated
00:02:59.660
with the white house sent it over to the senate after weeks and weeks of negotiation months of
00:03:04.300
standoff between the two sides but at the moment drama playing on the floor as the speaker trying to
00:03:08.940
get this first part procedural vote approved and right now it doesn't have the votes and mono we're
00:03:13.980
hearing uh that some uh members of the conservative house freedom caucus are threatening uh to use the
00:03:19.640
what's called a motion to vacate uh basically it just it allows uh just one member to to raise this as a
00:03:26.800
move to oust mccarthy as speaker they're threatening to use this uh next week is is that real that is
00:03:34.300
really an uncertain question jake because as you mentioned just one member can essentially call for
00:03:39.340
this vote and they can't stop this vote from happening and if the speaker is unable to limit
00:03:44.240
defections to more than no more than four if there are four or more who want him out as speaker he's out
00:03:49.120
as speaker assuming all democrats vote to remove him as well the conservatives have not made a final
00:03:54.760
decision about whether to go that route but some of them are very angry about whether about the deal
00:03:59.200
that was cut they believe it didn't go far enough and are weighing whether or not to go that far that
00:04:03.940
is a discussion for another day the question is whether the temperature will cool down a bit if this
00:04:08.860
bill passes and the big question tonight is how many republicans ultimately vote for the underlying
00:04:14.680
bill to raise the debt ceiling the speaker and his team want to have a majority of house republicans
00:04:19.520
to get behind it the speaker today told me he is confident he will get a majority of republicans
00:04:24.300
voting for it some of the folks on the far right like congressman matt gates have warned that if it's
00:04:28.740
under a majority of house republicans that's what could trigger the efforts to try to oust him from
00:04:33.120
the speakership so that vote that threshold is key and the question will be if this will after this
00:04:38.560
passes if the the calculation changes on the far right of the conference but at the moment right
00:04:44.080
now the speaker doesn't seem to concern about it i asked him if this is gonna if this his speaker
00:04:48.060
this makes his speaker any less secure and he said not at all yeah they're there are four votes away
00:04:53.500
now from that rule passing 214 they just need four oh yeah jake yeah now it's three 215 as you can
00:05:01.260
see jake yeah democrats are now giving the votes to get this passed this is what we expected they
00:05:06.560
were going to hold out until the very end here and now democrats breaking ranks unusual these rules
00:05:12.740
typically approved along straight party lines but now 26 democrats and counting 27 now getting to
00:05:18.900
that magic number there it is that's the first they just there it is 218 they just hit the magic number
00:05:23.800
for that's the first procedural vote it looks like uh speaker mccarthy uh is going to get that rule
00:05:28.160
approved and then we'll proceed uh later tonight to a vote on the actual uh legislation manu raju uh
00:05:33.540
bringing us in real time the vote counting as the vote casting rather on capitol hill thanks so much
00:05:38.540
wednesday 31 may in the year of our lord 2023 historic day here in capitol hill we just saw
00:05:45.760
a total and complete humiliation uh mccarthy had to answer the press and leaving the floor did he have
00:05:53.120
to cut any deals with hakeem jeffries a humiliation i think there was what uh 39 uh people folk republicans
00:06:01.420
did not vote for the rule he had to cut a deal with the uh democrats right there turn the control of the
00:06:06.920
floor essentially over to democrats nancy pelosi in fact i'm checking i don't think it's ever for a
00:06:12.620
vote this significant because this is the most important vote in this congress the 118th congress
00:06:17.640
this is the big kahuna uh no one's no speaker has ever lost control of the floor he had to turn to
00:06:24.680
democrats to make it happen our guest of this afternoon anna polina luna congressman from florida
00:06:30.520
talk to us about this this floor i heard earlier today he had graves uh going door to door to talk
00:06:38.380
to some senior people about getting them to go and and vote they knew they'd been they didn't have the
00:06:42.960
votes and they didn't want to have to cut a deal with um with um hakeem jeffries what did you hear
00:06:48.880
um you know i have basically been a no since the beginning on this entire thing so i wasn't they don't
00:06:55.100
come by your door yeah i actually did not get approached but you know i just i think really
00:07:00.500
what it shows is that the republican congress as a whole we sent something out with the limit save
00:07:06.220
grow act and what we got back in these negotiations was nothing close to what was initially presented
00:07:12.480
as an expectation to what would be potentially a solution for the debt crisis in this country
00:07:17.880
and so when you have as many members as you have and exactly like you stated it was upwards of i
00:07:23.760
believe about 30 plus members that said you know we don't want this rule and we're not going to
00:07:28.640
support this i think that that shows that you know we want change and that if we continue down this path
00:07:34.620
which is exactly what we're seeing it's a repetitive process we have to break the cycle in order to bring
00:07:38.360
that change you're considered a rising star and uh but you're also a freshman and and of course this
00:07:46.260
place is very hierarchical how do you how do you show up and just tell them right off the bat hey i've read
00:07:52.520
this and this is not good for the country it's not good for my district it's not good for my
00:07:57.320
constituents i'm a hard no tell me how that works you know when i ran for office i only ran because i
00:08:06.620
was so frustrated with the way that i saw the media the establishment media engaging in this like massive
00:08:12.380
disinformation campaign against the american people and when i ran i ran on my true convictions
00:08:17.740
so i wasn't doing polling i wasn't just you know asking people what i should say to come across as
00:08:23.280
more conservative it's generally my belief and so the other thing is is that i'm not worried about
00:08:29.060
being re-elected and being a queer politician and i think that that brings a certain level of freedom
00:08:33.440
because at the end of the day if i'm not re-elected in two years because people that elected me don't
00:08:39.340
like the job that i did at least i know that for the time that i was here i made that time count
00:08:44.140
and what i'm finding is that the people that elected me and trusted me have faith in me now
00:08:50.320
and that's hard to do especially when you're in office like this because so many people are used
00:08:54.540
to being lied to by their representatives by politicians and as you saw with a national media
00:09:00.120
campaign on how fiscally responsible this debt negotiation was which we all know is false
00:09:06.220
there's a reason why people believe that and so i guess it's just me not really caring because i don't
00:09:12.620
work for these people up here i represent people down there in florida and if i don't speak up who's
00:09:18.860
going to do it for them you know i i am 34 years old i'm about to have a kid and i don't want my
00:09:26.620
child growing up in a nation that's bankrupt and that's exactly what's going to happen for people
00:09:30.500
that are watching this on social security they kept saying on on the national media oh this is great
00:09:35.320
for seniors and it's going to protect your social security really your social security is going to be
00:09:39.040
gone in the next 10 years because of bills like this because of that four trillion when uh when
00:09:45.180
you saw the uh because you voted for that you did vote for the first bill which a lot of us were not
00:09:49.960
enthusiastic about but it got to 218 but it had a limit it had 1.5 trillion gave him the debt increase
00:09:54.840
but it had a one-year limit when you saw over the weekend because you're somebody goes back and spends
00:09:59.660
a lot of time with your constituents when you saw the text of the bill walk me through as you go
00:10:05.200
through your first impressions as you actually read what changed from from the from the limit
00:10:11.520
save grow to what we have so when we initially voted the yes that was to get to the negotiating
00:10:16.420
table right because you had our entire um you know the rhinos that exist in senate basically working
00:10:22.320
with democrats to say that republicans in the house will never get it done we wanted to get our foot
00:10:26.380
in the door because we were hearing that they were going to basically push a clean debt ceiling increase
00:10:31.320
which would have been catastrophic for this country um but you know when i got that language and it was
00:10:37.380
100 pages and i sat down and i read it and it's not complicated reading okay you sit there and you
00:10:42.060
go through it and then when i sat and down and discussed it with my colleagues and actually broke
00:10:47.080
it down and you see that you know one of the biggest things that i think any republican with a brain
00:10:52.580
should say is hey we should not be doing anything that helps green subsidies in the inflation reduction act
00:10:57.480
when you have funding that's not removed from a weaponized irs that literally i think it employs
00:11:03.640
what still 80 of the irs those 87 000 irs agents i mean that is literally what the republican party
00:11:10.960
parroted and and put out there and promised to the american people so um it pissed me off and i don't
00:11:18.760
really know how to say that you know to come back to to come back here not my home here and to take time
00:11:26.660
away from my family because these people went back on their word not just us as a conference but to
00:11:32.140
the american people i mean i don't understand that because that's just not who i am talk about here
00:11:37.920
about how straightforward people are as you as you dealt with them give it give it to us how it really
00:11:43.100
is i have so i try to stay positive because you know at the end of the day there are good people up
00:11:50.340
here in washington and not everyone is terrible but it is not uncommon especially if you are
00:11:56.420
fighting for something that people don't agree with you on for them to try to gaslight you and
00:12:01.240
tell you straight up to your face that you're wrong even though you know that you're right and even
00:12:04.880
though there's actually a parliamentary procedure saying that you're right and i think that it really
00:12:10.060
kind of just and they will look you in the eye they'll look you in the eye and they will lie to you
00:12:13.660
and um you know we'll probably get into it can be pushed around because you're a woman and you're a
00:12:19.260
yeah i'm serious i think that are you are you one of the reasons our audience is so upset
00:12:25.300
is they feel that people are treating here stupid in this bill is that what angers you about they put
00:12:31.320
these things forward they're just obviously nonsense and almost bald-faced lies what they think they
00:12:37.100
think you're stupid what angers me is when they do it nationally and they use the media to do it
00:12:42.940
because there's a lot of people and this job part of the reason why and i'm sure we'll get into the
00:12:48.180
shift resolution and in here in a little bit but part of the reason why i'm doing what i'm doing
00:12:52.280
is because i see a broken system and when i see people take advantage of trust and do that it
00:12:57.780
angers me because i look at that as this is probably one of the most sacred jobs you could have aside
00:13:02.800
from bringing a supreme court justice in the country you're kind of you're you're basically guiding
00:13:08.560
the legislation and impacting millions of people's lives based on what you do up here in the house
00:13:13.880
chambers and so to have that kind of shell game take place where they're not transparent
00:13:18.800
it bothers me and i think that that's kind of why i've chosen to align myself with the people that
00:13:25.600
i've aligned myself with and it doesn't mean that i don't talk to people i'm a very approachable person
00:13:29.780
and i'm nice but when i see bs i'm going to call it out and it doesn't necessarily probably make me
00:13:35.660
the most liked person here but i did not get elected to be liked that's what real quickly we're
00:13:40.580
going to break but we had you had a situation today you're debating one of your colleagues i
00:13:44.380
think it was on fox or somewhere and they go where do you get the four trillion dollar number
00:13:47.940
in anna palina luna if you go well yeah so i so i'll actually show this to the war room so you guys
00:13:54.000
can see but when we're talking about the four trillion that actually is responsible for the
00:13:58.680
estimated number on spending that's going to come along with this this bill um this was actually a
00:14:03.500
number that was shared in conference and i think it's important for people to be able to see this
00:14:07.220
because of the fact that we didn't just make this number up it literally came from the conference
00:14:12.160
is it your camera right yeah can you guys see that so that that was a presentation made to you as a
00:14:17.440
as a member as a member and so this has a right you wrote that down four trillion i took a picture
00:14:21.980
of it so it says you don't trust them you don't trust them well it says estimated q4 q1 q2 all these
00:14:28.680
spending levels and then as you go into q1 to 2025 it's 3.5 trillion but when they don't when they
00:14:34.440
have just a date and no caps and there's no caps for spending the bills and then they say oh we'll
00:14:38.960
just rely on the appropriations process really when has that ever worked every any other time
00:14:43.720
and it never that's another lie short commercial break florida congressman anna palina luna is here
00:14:49.760
we're going to talk about shifty shift all of it and her fight in the 118th congress back in a moment
00:14:55.260
president trump recently issued a warning from his home at mar-a-lago and i want to quote this
00:15:05.980
our currency is crashing and will soon no longer be the world standard which will be the greatest
00:15:11.840
defeat frankly in 200 years end quote he did that in the interview that i had with him a couple weeks
00:15:17.900
ago at his home now there are three reasons the central banks are dumping u.s dollar inflation
00:15:26.640
deficit spending in our insurmountable national debt the fact is there's one asset that has
00:15:34.120
withstood famine wars and political and economic upheaval dating back to biblical times that would
00:15:40.480
be gold gold has been a hedge against chaos from time immemorial and you can own it in a tax sheltered
00:15:50.380

00:15:55.220

00:16:52.100
bannon to 989898 remember the best part is you don't pay a penny out of pocket to get this information
00:17:01.520
and start the process do it today take action your host stephen k bannon
00:17:06.440
so talk to us about your your fear of um this could get worse than for i mean and here's what i think is
00:17:14.540
very uh important for the audience anna palina luna is here's your air force vet um you know you took
00:17:22.460
an attempt at this one time came very lost a fighter you're authentic you have courage and you fight
00:17:27.800
that's the formula what people are looking for but to show you how the city is when you saw it off in
00:17:33.460
the thing it's not like me i would write it down but then you say no bannon you wrote down wrong
00:17:37.020
you're going to get a receipt you're going to get a hard receipt bring receipts is that how this city
00:17:40.880
is yeah you have to and and that's just something that i learned early on you know uh i'm sure you saw
00:17:46.540
the washington post hit piece on me they thought i didn't have receipts but i brought their seats and we
00:17:50.860
all know how that worked out for them um but no you have to and i think very by the way very rarely do
00:17:55.260
they back off a story and actually reverse it that that shows you that also shows you what a
00:18:00.800
danger they think you are oh because they came after you hard you're over the target they came
00:18:04.700
after me so hard and i just i mean it's ridiculous yeah i was just like you got i mean like the stuff
00:18:09.920
that they were saying was egregious but the point is is that you have to have receipts and back it up
00:18:13.820
and i think that that's just the name of the game in politics is if you say something make sure that
00:18:17.940
you have the evidence to back it because somewhere down the line someone will find it and the other thing
00:18:22.500
is is you know people unfortunately are not good for their words so unless it's in writing
00:18:27.100
here one of the things they talk about the 1.5 to the 2.1 trillion and you know cbo and all this
00:18:33.740
and i've made i've made the point the last couple days if they believed there was a penny in true
00:18:39.040
cuts or savings they would have no problem putting a cap they went from your deal which is 1.5 trillion
00:18:44.420
or a year with an actual cap with an actual cap to no cap no cap in two years i mean it's obscene
00:18:51.180
and they had a date which with the projected spending levels for that date i believe it would
00:18:57.800
put it over 4 trillion 4 trillion was being conservative you do believe it could be worse
00:19:02.460
than 4 trillion yes and so based on what i showed you guys earlier in the photo um those were shown
00:19:07.080
to us in conference and that was projected for q1 of 2025 but the point is is that they don't have
00:19:13.440
a number to cap it at and then ultimately you know representative massey had his plan but his plan
00:19:19.980
wasn't even left fully intact with what we had initially decided upon so again going back to
00:19:25.380
when you vote on something if it's not in the bill it's not there it doesn't exist it doesn't exist you
00:19:30.320
can't take happy talk which is so much what this bill is uh talk to us about before i pivot to the
00:19:35.520
shifty shift your constituents back in your home district where are their heads right now about this
00:19:41.420
spending about the debt about the economy and about really codifying this bill tonight this vote
00:19:47.020
tonight and that's why i say it's the most important bill in this session in this congress
00:19:51.660
is um is it codifies not just the increase in government for for covid but also everything
00:19:58.520
the biden regime has done where are your constituents i have not gotten one positive phone call on
00:20:03.680
increasing the debt ceiling no one's like yes not one yes the phone calls stop stop stop you have
00:20:08.920
not gotten this entire time not from my constituents no not one of your constituents has called you and
00:20:13.620
said vote yes correct and we do ask for their addresses and for their names to confirm that
00:20:18.040
they are constituents so that we can actually record it and say you know the uh the representative
00:20:21.840
is listening to what you have to say not one positive vote yes on the debt ceiling and also too people
00:20:27.780
have actually written into the office saying that they appreciate what we're doing because of the fact
00:20:32.120
that they have witnessed congresses previously increase nothing happens and you know what else is
00:20:37.320
happening is we have an increase in inflation and right now the economy's in the hole and in addition
00:20:42.300
to that like i mentioned earlier if you are on social security a lot of these uh national messaging
00:20:47.280
outlets were saying if you don't rose uh vote to raise the debt ceiling your social security is on
00:20:51.720
the line guess what i got news for you your social security is going to now be gone in 10 years and
00:20:56.040
i'm not the only person that thinks that there's a lot smarter people than me that know that that's
00:20:59.640
going to happen it's going to be insolvent because of the runaway spending and the debt in this
00:21:02.800
country your district's so key uh in a key state for for republicans does leadership know that
00:21:07.820
you've been over you've had huge amount of phone calls and not one yes because that
00:21:11.660
information alone is pretty shocking i i make my worst case be 90 10 or some people would call up
00:21:16.860
and say you know i should do this because we're so afraid that the capital market is going to break
00:21:20.820
down i make my positions very publicly known and i've been very much so vocal about why i'm voting
00:21:27.480
the way i'm but uh voting what i found was wrong with the current um bill that they're going to be
00:21:32.740
bringing to the floor this evening and so i don't see how they could not see that and i've also told
00:21:38.280
people you know uh respectfully i'm going to have to disagree with you with thinking that this is
00:21:42.320
great for the country because i'm representing an entire base some of your some of your colleagues
00:21:46.660
yeah and i and i'll have the conversations you know i don't have to personally attack them but
00:21:50.600
like i will sit there and debate with them and say look i i just here's where i'm at this is what i
00:21:54.420
represent and i would argue that most people in this country most working class people do not want
00:22:01.300
this and when they see that there's these massive payouts for these green subsidies by the way that
00:22:06.220
help these democrat super pack donors that gave to the biden administration super elites super elites
00:22:12.180
i mean like you don't think that that's shady but that's why they took away the site that's why they
00:22:16.280
put in the second year because they saw the cnn poll come in 60 of the american people only want to
00:22:21.440
increase it with significant cuts 45 of democrats they don't want the people to have a shot here they
00:22:26.440
don't have a voice that's where they're that's where they're doing it two years kick it down the road
00:22:30.040
that's why this vote's so important and you're seeing in this vote with the nose the beginning
00:22:35.260
of really the real mega republican i mean this is the shift of the what these mccarthy and this group
00:22:41.440
is the old rump of the old republican party that still hold on to power but they don't represent the
00:22:46.540
people and you're seeing it in these districts that are overwhelmingly people are saying don't do
00:22:50.340
this yet some are still going to do it well i think there's a lot of people too that typically like
00:22:54.980
wouldn't be classified as maga that are going to be voting no this evening and we're seeing those
00:23:00.780
names starting to come up on a lot of social media a lot of a lot of the florida delegation a lot of
00:23:05.760
the texas delegation but like even which are the heart of maga right now exactly but um even freshman
00:23:11.320
members like rich mccormick um obviously andy ogles is a member of the freedom caucus and um eli crane we
00:23:17.040
love eli but you know there's other members that are coming forward that typically i don't think would
00:23:23.220
except for the fact that we know and understand and we cannot continue down this path and i actually
00:23:28.220
had a really really good discussion with one of my colleagues to the south of me and he said on i've
00:23:32.920
been here for the last 20 years and he's like the same thing happens they vote to increase it and
00:23:37.860
nothing changes and he's like i have grandkids i don't want to do that anymore and um i'm not going
00:23:42.100
to and he's voting against it and i i for that something like that for someone who has a wisdom for
00:23:46.580
being up here for so long i'm i think i'm in the right they're still whipping votes right now
00:23:50.620
mccarthy's really hard whipping this hard so make sure you call 202-225-3121 make sure your
00:23:55.840
representative uh knows about this and particularly if you're in a red district you tell them hey you
00:24:00.420
vote yes on this and you know i think you're probably gonna have to be primary so it's time to play hard
00:24:05.160
ball right now uh let's talk about shift you know um uh how do i say this politely you freshman and female
00:24:13.340
you know they got this you should you're supposed to be well behaved you come up here and i people have to
00:24:19.920
understand the courage of what you've done on this shift because in this whole city with the
00:24:24.160
durham and all the stuff going on you're the one person that came out and said hey this guy has to
00:24:30.160
be held accountable and i'm going to research it and find out and i i'm going to hold him accountable
00:24:34.640
for the institution has to hold him accountable and if they're going to kick it down the road
00:24:39.000
then i'm going to take action walk us through this thing with shift because first i think people
00:24:42.520
thought it was a gimmick or a stunt but it's deadly serious well first of all with the motion to expel
00:24:48.000
him that was brought forward because one if that was any one of us if that was any republican you can
00:24:54.080
bet that would have happened by now um so what's good for the goose is good for the gander if they're
00:24:59.560
going to do it to us then we should absolutely hold them to the same account but the motion to censure
00:25:04.480
and the fine is incredibly important because of the fact that you don't need a two-thirds vote for
00:25:08.980
the motion to censure and a motion to fine that's just a vote of 218 so tell the audience i haven't caught
00:25:15.440
this story yet tell us tell us what you've actually done about shift who's running right
00:25:21.760
now still in the house but running for the senate uh tell us what you've done so uh the first week
00:25:28.240
well now about three weeks ago i did a motion to expel him from congress that's going to require a
00:25:34.180
two-third vote and then the following week i found out that i could actually do a motion to censure
00:25:40.020
and then also add a fine to that motion to censure which to my understanding majority vote that's
00:25:46.320
majority vote so that means the republican conference would be able to do that now the
00:25:51.540
extent of which the fine has been done that hasn't been done before to my knowledge in u.s history but
00:25:55.440
we have the ability to do it and it's a it's a check and balance mechanism because of the fact that he
00:25:59.740
brought dishonor to the house of representatives and it is our job to police ourselves right so
00:26:06.000
a lot of people say well and this has been an honest um debate that i've got back well his speech
00:26:12.640
even though he lied was protected under the speech and debate clause however what he did in having
00:26:18.900
access as the chairman of the house intelligence committee going on national television and saying
00:26:24.760
that he saw the smoking gun gaslighting the american people his entire democrat institution and then also
00:26:33.020
in addition costing the american taxpayer 32 million dollars he absolutely needs to be held
00:26:39.060
accountable and that is the punitive action and so um the 16 million came from it being half the cost
00:26:44.860
of what it cost to conduct the durham report and you know we didn't specify how those funds could be
00:26:50.280
paid but to my knowledge he can make those payments out of a campaign account and i think that
00:26:54.980
he has about 24 million dollars cash on hand right now in his senate account so i had a lot of people
00:27:00.060
that were telling me that i shouldn't make this a privilege motion and bring it to the floor and
00:27:04.620
that is a protected motion meaning that i will be able to make this and force this vote and i would
00:27:10.300
say that if you are saying that i shouldn't do that because you are worried about putting a republican
00:27:15.180
in a tough position tell me the name of one republican that would vote to protect adam schiff in the house
00:27:21.160
of representatives and if they do then their constituents need to know it but this is about courage there's a lot
00:27:27.020
of the people up here that just want to go along to get along and uh they don't want this they don't
00:27:31.780
want to be exposed of not voting for this this is why they want this to go away this is why they want
00:27:36.220
you just to go be a backbencher and be a nice quiet freshman correct correct i think that this is
00:27:41.760
something that's probably uncomfortable for them and they also don't want to quote unquote set the
00:27:45.400
precedence but we wouldn't be here if he was dealt with um accordingly initially early on and the fact
00:27:53.500
is is that he did something very wrong he ripped apart this country he knew it was wrong he knew it
00:27:58.260
was wrong he ripped apart the country he lied there was no classified information that showed that and
00:28:02.980
you know you have the entire republican conference right now talking about how they want to save
00:28:06.380
american taxpayer dollars well you can now save 16 million dollars by bringing it back and finding
00:28:11.900
adam shift if you think of everything the church committee had to go through to get the senate
00:28:15.120
intelligence and house intelligence there was no oversight of of the of the intelligence
00:28:19.200
agencies until the 1970s early 1980s and have a guy like shift abuse that authority abuse it lie
00:28:25.560
directly to the american people and just keep this madness going on and hurt us geopolitically let's
00:28:29.740
take a short commercial break anna polina luna we're going to try to keep you as long as we can
00:28:33.540
we understand you're going to have to scoot back over to get into all that uh she's currently nursing
00:28:39.600
an injury i think uh congressman uh norman from uh from south carolina one of the real hawks in this
00:28:46.900
fact he started this the first week of january and he stood up in the conference and told kevin
00:28:51.160
mccarthy hey number one we got to get to balanced budgets no more happy talk he'll join us next in
00:28:56.820
the war room junk science that's what the doctor called many of those fruit and vegetable supplements
00:29:10.060
junk science because they use extracts of common produce department fruits and vegetables with few
00:29:17.720
health benefits now look i take field of greens because it's the whole organic fruit and vegetable
00:29:23.900
not a watered down supplement and it's backed by a better health promise each ingredient in field of
00:29:31.040
greens was scientifically chosen to support vital organs like heart lungs and kidney health
00:29:36.860
others support my immune system blood pressure metabolism and healthy weight loss i don't eat
00:29:44.720
as healthy as i should i got that i know it i own it that's why i take field of greens like me you'll
00:29:51.840
probably look and feel healthier fast and have way more energy and i mean way more energy but your best
00:29:58.820
proof will be at your next checkout checkup when your doctor says hey whatever you're doing it's working
00:30:06.040
keep it up let me get you started with 15 off visit field of greens.com that's field of greens.com
00:30:14.720
and use promo code bannon that's promo code bannon at field of greens.com take action action action do that
00:30:23.820
yes i read the bill my friends it's a horrible bill bad for america i'm not voting for it
00:30:38.780
of course the individual kicked this all off was congressman ralph norman of south carolina and
00:30:46.600
during that week that changed the direction of the country in the first conference he stood up and said
00:30:51.620
hey he told mccarthy he said look you voted for every big spending thing this is we got to get
00:30:55.300
to balance budget or the country's going to be destroyed financially and economically congressman
00:30:59.980
norman joins now my co-host uh she volunteered to co-host she was going to scoot she had enough of
00:31:06.920
the war room she was going to scoot we ran out of cold water been drinking cold water come in here
00:31:11.220
she stuck around because you and she's a huge fan but there's a great story here tell the story about
00:31:19.460
your relationship with congressman norman so i did not win my first race when i ran and obviously you
00:31:25.780
know when you get it through the primary and you're in the general we worked hard and it was brutal no
00:31:30.020
one likes to win or to lose elections and i was literally i felt like i was in the grinch like
00:31:35.620
wallowing in self-pity and i get this card in the mail and it was from representative ralph norman and
00:31:41.740
he said anna you know you need to run again i lost my first race got back in one you can do it you know
00:31:47.360
give it a try and that is probably what planted the seed to get me started on thinking about running
00:31:54.100
again and it was representative ralph norman so i owe him a lot congressman norman what did you see
00:31:59.740
in uh in anna polina luna back then uh that uh you felt it was worth her taking another shot at this
00:32:05.860
you needed her up here well she was a uh she's special because if you read her life story steve
00:32:14.260
she she doesn't quit and when you know i remember talking when she first ran uh remember talking to
00:32:21.980
some people and they said well she can't win i said why can't she win well you know the powers that be
00:32:26.900
were against her when she lost i just said we've got to get this girl in politics she is a true
00:32:32.860
success story and it was just um you know it was a no-brainer to me um she's a rarity and she's shown
00:32:42.600
courage uh in the face of a lot of adversity here on capitol capitol hill being a freshman one and then
00:32:50.040
she just sticks in there and she does the right thing she doesn't care what people think
00:32:54.680
and um it's people like her that will put this country you know will put this country back on
00:33:01.360
track and uh she's uh she's really she's something else is all i can say well that's norman no no but
00:33:10.200
you are that's why i think people i said authenticity authenticity courage and fight congressman today
00:33:15.540
you're in rules committee you talk about humiliation the the mccarthy's up there dunning had the votes
00:33:20.940
and has to go to hakeem jeffries and cut a deal to have democrats come in to even get this abomination
00:33:26.760
to the floor for a general vote you're on the rules committee walk us through this i mean nancy
00:33:31.080
pelosi when when those folks are running the deal they don't need to kowtow to the republicans and
00:33:37.720
make things happen what's going on here this shows you a speakership that quite frankly i don't think
00:33:42.160
has any earthy idea what they're doing it's an embarrassment what happened today well there's two
00:33:47.660
two meetings that are important steven and anna knows this i'm on the rules committee partly
00:33:52.160
because you know what we did in january and uh rules committee is one of the most important
00:33:57.380
you know committee committees that i know of we know everything going through uh that's going to
00:34:02.740
be on the floor and yesterday when uh it came up uh and you got nine republicans and you've got
00:34:12.320
four democrats and i told tom cole i said tom i'm gonna vote against this in the rules committee
00:34:19.060
which would prevent it from going to the uh to the floor i said well fine i mean that's what i would
00:34:25.680
like i'll kill this bill any way i can i don't really care and um so it was a one one vote margin
00:34:33.800
if thomas massey come on with us it wouldn't have even had the vote today now the vote you're talking
00:34:39.040
about on the house floor when i looked up and saw we were uh you know the we were we were going to
00:34:46.840
take this thing down uh with democrats and then all of a sudden uh you had i think we had 20 of our
00:34:55.980
original members of what we did in january uh you know vote no as we this was not a hard call and then
00:35:03.600
the democrats started flooding in and to to take it out and to put it you know on you know to make
00:35:10.420
it pass it forward so we can vote on tonight and so they did bail him out and it's really steve an
00:35:16.820
insult to have the democrats who originally when this bill was put before the senate the 218 was all
00:35:23.300
republicans we didn't get any democrats now what's changed they have got what they like in the bill i
00:35:29.720
get that uh but what they did today was uh you know was was bail a bill out i wish they hadn't
00:35:37.000
hadn't done that but you know it uh it it showed how weak have haven't they done it because this bill
00:35:45.500
locks in everything that they've spent it locks in all the biden regime radical policy is it locks in
00:35:51.740
the growth of government after covid i mean this the the numbers they talk about as you said this
00:35:56.880
it's all they're all there's a tissue of lies it doesn't even stand up with even a modicum of
00:36:02.220
scrutiny that's why democrats hakeem jeffries and these guys want to get this to the floor they want
00:36:07.380
to vote this this bill is their bill that's why they did it that's to me the humiliation the
00:36:11.240
humiliation is that everybody works so hard to get to get this majority and if it hadn't been for you
00:36:17.160
guys hadn't been for anna paulina luna hadn't been for you hadn't been for the magnificent six
00:36:21.500
in the 20 we we would be nowhere but look where we are just with that and you just get bait and
00:36:27.260
switched all the time that's why i think constituents are you know they're blowing the
00:36:30.940
phone lines up and they're blowing the phone lines up because they're tired of being treated as fools
00:36:35.540
sir well and we're tired of you know it's easy to spend somebody else's money and anna knows this i
00:36:42.280
mean the powers that be you know tell you you can't vote against the rule you can't do this you can't
00:36:48.060
do that and we're sick of it and uh 32 trillion in debt no we're going to the the message we had
00:36:55.040
last night in caucus meeting was uh they have the leadership has got a chance to show themselves on
00:37:01.400
appropriations they've got to put the hammer down we've got to have some conservative spending now
00:37:06.240
the votes show that we're building i mean we're just the beginning of what we're going to do
00:37:11.820
and kevin said he was going to do that on appropriations he can bring it up
00:37:17.800
but they but on this bill itself steve there's no excuse for it i mean to give uh the this
00:37:23.780
president carte blanche ability to raise the debt limit at any level to until 2025 it's crazy i don't
00:37:31.140
know any republican that would vote why they felt like they had to vote for it and you'll see tonight
00:37:35.660
and as you i think you mentioned earlier any republican that votes for this that's in a a closely uh it
00:37:43.540
doesn't have to be a red district if it's a midline district where it's evenly split they ought to look
00:37:48.580
at this vote and see what they're doing to the american people there's no excuse for it
00:37:52.700
i want to go back uh uh congressman you first then we'll come to you because now the thing they're
00:37:59.800
they're they're the last couple hours because they're panicking they're whipping this people
00:38:03.460
should understand your calls 202-225-3121 call your representative now and give them the old what for
00:38:09.640
that's having a big impact look they whipped the rule vote and didn't get it they needed to turn
00:38:15.160
the floor over to the democrats to pass it that is shocking in its own right nancy pelosi never would
00:38:20.160
happen under her uh people that knew what they were doing as speaker the um but now there's this thing
00:38:25.980
is oh we're going to get in appropriations that's where we're really going to take care of it
00:38:29.280
uh congressman norman that that's just a total uh misrepresentation that's not going to happen is it
00:38:35.300
well uh it may not but they're going to get the same uh publicity and the same revolt and i would
00:38:44.220
call this a revolt against this deal that was cut that should have never been cut uh and i think that
00:38:51.740
at least they will take notice of it and we're going to watch every appropriations bill if kevin
00:38:56.380
mccarthy doesn't put the hammer down on the appropriators and have real genuine cuts to get this
00:39:03.180
country back on track he's uh it's going to be problematic and i just this isn't a secret i don't
00:39:08.720
i don't know whether you were there at the last of it but uh you know that's what i said you got a
00:39:13.800
chance that on the appropriations to really weigh in on it and we'll see what he does but they
00:39:19.180
completely dropped the ball on this bill there is no excuse for this bill and and to do this to
00:39:24.240
the american people is not fair and i i also too think that it's pretty interesting that you know
00:39:30.960
throughout this entire process as representative norman just so eloquently stated i mean he's
00:39:35.780
just going through the facts of what the bill is it's not personal this is a bad deal you know
00:39:40.920
that's like would if i was like hey steve loan me 10 000 bucks i'll pay you back 25 cents would you do
00:39:45.860
it really because that's what's happening i just i think that it's interesting because people are
00:39:50.880
taking it personal now that we don't agree with it but it's not just the 20 it's many more members i
00:39:55.840
think the number that i heard uh recently on on fox o's around maybe around 47 people in total
00:40:01.280
are voting against us and i think that that's just going to continue to increase the word the word is
00:40:05.420
could get as high as 60 maybe even 70 is that the beginning of of the revolt that uh congressman
00:40:10.620
norman's talking about oh i think you're seeing it now i think you just saw it take place on the
00:40:14.000
floor but yeah absolutely you say you say this thing on the rules right here the embarrassment that
00:40:17.760
they put him through because they were going around gear uh was it graves he was going around
00:40:21.700
knocking on doors trying to get people to to come there and vote and they weren't going to do it
00:40:25.520
i think it's going to be tonight on the floor you'll see how people really feel and i think a
00:40:29.220
lot of people i'm starting to see just on twitter alone people saying like i can't vote for this
00:40:33.060
it's not personal but like this is just a bad deal and like we'll continue to say when you read the
00:40:37.920
bill when you see what's in it it's not good for the american people wasn't a part of our initial
00:40:42.280
agreement and what we sent over to the senate and by the way can we just call it the senate like why
00:40:46.420
doesn't the senate do their job why do we have to do it for them right norman that's exactly right and
00:40:52.200
i tell you people are sick and tired of we'll we'll balance the budget next year or we'll um
00:40:58.280
the senate won't pass it well we're sick of that uh we've heard that for i don't know how long i mean
00:41:03.740
it's now it's now do or do or die and i think uh those of us who are willing to to speak up and
00:41:10.420
you're right tonight you'll see who really uh who really is going to back up the conservatism if
00:41:16.180
there's a if there's a bone in their body that's conservative they will vote against this stupid bill
00:41:21.120
and we'll see how it turns out are you are you also surprised by some of the names that come
00:41:28.160
forward already that that that has has anybody surprised you that you've seen names come forward
00:41:33.120
and they're saying hey i'm a no given how supposedly close they are to mccarthy and leadership yeah and
00:41:39.200
i am steve you know yeah i am and you know to i talked to mike walsh last night honor he's you know him
00:41:46.960
he's a great patriot he's a no and i asked him why and he said you know the military is at its lowest
00:41:54.000
ebb it's been in the history of his involvement he's a colonel he's been in the army great patriot
00:42:00.080
and he's a no he said you know uh this just isn't right and to hear him say that and to hear him say
00:42:07.320
we can't fight a war uh right now means the priorities are missing and it starts with where you
00:42:13.100
the amount of money we're appropriating and it starts with bills just like we're going to vote
00:42:17.100
on tonight so mike kind of laid it out in in military terms but people are just sick of it
00:42:23.740
the status quo has not worked but it's going to have to start to work or uh they're going to have
00:42:29.660
consequences yeah i was just going to say there's a lot of vets it's uh mccormick it's waltz it's myself
00:42:37.540
it's wesley hunt i mean a lot of people including freshmen byron yeah people are people are hard no
00:42:43.400
on it so hard nose hard nose uh nancy mace was in here this morning hard no yeah and she sent that
00:42:48.700
twitter streams as a congressman norman can we keep you through the break can we keep you for one more
00:42:53.820
segment can we keep my honor okay uh we've got we've got the man who started it all yeah i remember
00:43:00.340
you came in here the first that was that the first week you laid it down with mccarthy you told him
00:43:04.540
this was going to happen you said hey we got to get this thing right the financial he says i'm a
00:43:08.840
real estate i'm a business guy you can't keep running things like this one thing i can tell you
00:43:12.720
your calls this audience your calls have been the deciding factor here and it if your congressman has
00:43:19.520
come out in in uh by twitter or putting a statement call him and say hey thank you give him give him an
00:43:26.220
attaboy this is what we need the men and women are stepping up here this is courage because the pressure
00:43:30.500
this is being whipped leadership just got humiliated on national tv on this rules thing
00:43:36.000
they're whipping this hard when i say whipping they're they're you know this thing's coming with
00:43:40.340
it's a pressure campaign it's a pressure campaign because they're going to tell you what the you
00:43:43.860
know what you're going to have you're not going to be on the committees you're not going to get this
00:43:46.620
you're not going to get that you're not going to get support that you know what it is and they're
00:43:49.580
putting a lot of pressure on you guys because this is the biggest vote mccarthy will have
00:43:53.040
in his speakers outside of the speakers i actually say because of the future of the country
00:43:57.700
and what's this doing uncapped no cap for two years if they believed that they were saving one
00:44:04.180
petty in these cuts of the 1.5 or 2.1 trillion they'd have a cap they don't they understand it's all
00:44:11.000
not just ephemeral it's a tissue of lies and ralph norman told you exactly all about it on that
00:44:17.680
little video here short commercial break anna polina luna congressman from florida ralph norman
00:44:22.280

00:47:03.260
uh welcome back uh congressman norman uh in the first segment today uh anna polina luna the congressman
00:47:12.400
one from florida told us in her with this whole heated firestorm in her district not one call
00:47:19.660
came in from those folks in her district that said vote for this bill what's the sense uh of folks in
00:47:26.560
south carolina same thing here uh you know people are sick of what's going on all you have to do is pick
00:47:33.220
out here one segment of this bill one part of the bill that they think is is crazy they want conservatism
00:47:40.720
and they don't want to just talked about they want it in action and this proved that but mine is the
00:47:45.780
same my reaction that i have uh is the same as as honest and the ones that are negative are all from
00:47:52.740
states california it's amazing the new york calls i get they're not our constituents and um it's laughable
00:48:00.160
really i mean what should people look for tonight yeah what should people look for they're gonna have
00:48:06.960
a debate for an hour and then you're gonna vote what should people look for i think that you
00:48:10.660
just start tune into c-span and start watching those numbers on the republicans that are voting
00:48:14.900
no on it i think that that'll tell you kind of where we're at in a conference that you know um the
00:48:19.740
the messaging corporate machine that has invested interest in getting this passed they're gonna say
00:48:25.540
that it's all positive but you know usually when you have like the new york times of washington post
00:48:29.220
cnn and then you know the conservative quote-unquote leaning outlets all on the same page it's usually bs
00:48:35.200
and so i think when you see those names pop up just you know um understand that those are the
00:48:40.140
people that read through it and are very serious about wanting to stop the run off the cliff that
00:48:44.840
we're seeing with our spending how can leadership congressman norman how can leadership go forward
00:48:49.300
with this humiliation today on the floor and then if you have 40 50 60 70 um folks vote against this
00:48:57.060
vote no on the most important bill and they got to depend upon 60 70 democrats to get it passed
00:49:02.940
how can leadership continue on that that this has never happened before you don't see speakers of
00:49:08.380
the house know what they're doing having to go and i'm not talking about a marginal bill i'm talking
00:49:12.480
about the most important thing that will come before us in this congress is this bill because it sets
00:49:18.260
the direction of the country for decades so so how can how can leadership go on if they got to depend
00:49:23.900
upon hakeem jeffries to be their coalition partner well they really can't i mean what what the
00:49:30.860
democrats are going to demand is payment in some form or another and uh you know it's but what
00:49:37.560
what leadership i hope realizes is that smoke and mirrors don't work anymore uh you know you've got
00:49:43.540
to deliver and they can start with you know on the appropriations as i mentioned but uh if they don't
00:49:50.040
get the message on this it's going to be a tough next two years for the republicans they can't
00:49:54.260
you can't depend on democrats they're they're from a different planet when it comes to the budget when
00:50:00.680
it comes to their policies uh there's so many little nancy pelosi's running around that have her
00:50:06.140
world view and it just doesn't work you know it doesn't work so i think um you know the numbers are
00:50:14.080
going as anna said watch the numbers if it's 55 or greater and i think it will that's going to send a
00:50:20.240
a very strong message because this thing was whipped your thoughts about that can what about
00:50:26.800
leadership can they go forward if they have to on a bill of such uh importance you know magnified
00:50:32.280
importance about the direction of the country and as you said could be six seven trillion dollars
00:50:36.100
that we're giving them uh but can they go forward how do they go forward with their depending when
00:50:41.120
they're in partnership with hakeem jeffries and not in partnership with you well i think that that's
00:50:45.520
why there's such a strong whipping operation taking place because obviously you know the whole
00:50:49.980
angle was is that they were trying to convince the american people that this was great for them
00:50:53.620
and then you had the biden harris administration post a tweet saying that this was a great bipartisan
00:50:58.700
win which by the way there's nothing that biden does that's bipartisan okay maybe his you know
00:51:03.420
shelling of cash to his family but that's about it so i mean like the the whole thing is just a
00:51:08.220
complete farce and so i think that you know when you see what's happening i think that it sends a
00:51:12.880
strong message that you know the conference isn't how it was i think that a lot of changes
00:51:17.040
occurred in the beginning of this year um kudos to representative norman and some of the members
00:51:21.600
of the freedom caucus that actually helped to negotiate so that we have voices and that we
00:51:25.840
can partake in the process and you're seeing that all play out still even today this is the revolt
00:51:29.560
congressman norman how do people follow you where do they follow you tonight particularly this
00:51:33.260
thing's going to get uh it's going to be very interesting like you said if it hits 55 or above they
00:51:37.940
got a big problem so how do people follow you sir rep ralph norman.com
00:51:42.980
that's all they have sir thank you very much by the way i'm i'm telling folks right now the next
00:51:49.680

00:52:03.940

00:52:11.120
for a first term uh you make the air force proud to make a first term uh congressman to come up here
00:52:18.040
as much as the pressure people understand the pressure it gets nasty it gets very nasty and
00:52:22.380
very ugly they'll look to you and look in your eye and lie to your face but more importantly the
00:52:26.740
pressure they put on you and they're whipping this thing hard right now they they know they got a
00:52:30.240
huge problem so that's what social media how do we how do we follow you uh follow me on my personal
00:52:34.780
