00:11:33.780 that paxton had investigated a business deal where there was alleged political corruption by the fbi

00:11:48.120 thinks walker texas ranger but this is essentially the texas fbi and so you know that's at the core of
00:11:54.880 it and i've basically said look this is what happens when you go after the fbi when you investigate

00:17:20.520 you know effectively there's a coalition of republicans and democrats who dominate the texas house
00:17:26.980 the grassroots have made great strides over the last you know decade uh in terms of taking more control
00:17:34.720 of their state government but they don't have control right so you have this this house that um
00:17:40.040 you know is is contrary to them and works against them so it comes out of the texas house in this
00:17:46.380 democrat republican coalition many many republican dissenters to it goes over to the senate um what's
00:17:53.100 going to start off here with this uh trial in the senate the senators have to make a choice on a whole host
00:18:00.320 of uh motions so there's motion practice just like any trial just like any trial i would go you know

00:18:11.780 uh motions to dismiss certain articles of the impeachment that sort of thing and these senators
00:18:16.840 are going to have that choice um the reality is the pleadings that you've seen from the house i mean the

00:18:31.920 bluster it's these you know it's a tell this story but it's not really legalistic they even come in at one
00:18:38.100 point and they're like oh you know you have to go to trial because he knows what he did you know

00:18:48.220 it is a political trial with 31 political actors so these senators have to make a choice you know are they
00:18:54.700 going to move forward with this trial at all um they could dismiss it up front and i think that is
00:19:00.480 quite frankly the correct legal thing to do um but if they allow the trial to go on you're going to see

00:19:19.740 back and forth and cross-examination and then ultimately again the senators will make their choice so

00:19:29.660 senators have to make a choice are they going to accept this action by the house that was done in
00:19:34.720 secret and dumped on their lap at the last minute on memorial day weekend or are they going to you
00:19:40.740 know and and move forward and evaluate or they are they going to to kick it back and reject it which
00:19:45.460 is which is a clear legal choice you see i think what people are shocked in what you're saying i want to
00:19:51.320 make sure people around the country understand this is that because people look to texas as kind
00:19:55.420 of the uh one of the backbones or foundational elements of just not the conservative movement
00:20:01.220 but maga and president trump always went big down there uh when you say there's a coalition between
00:20:06.360 democrats and republicans are these establishment republicans is this the reason that nothing seems
00:20:12.240 to happen with the invasion of the southern border i mean people are kind of shocked at what's
00:20:15.860 happening in texas and it looks like the political class is not taking any action but when you say
00:20:21.160 that there's actually a combination of democrats and republicans that kind of had this almost
00:20:27.300 stalinist uh movement to impeach him in the house working together i think people are shocked but what is
00:20:33.500 what is that about well there was a great uh a documentary put out one of my clients put out a
00:20:39.460 documentary recently called the texas heist and they described it as a heist it's it's a group of
00:20:44.900 republicans who for their own personal interest um are working with the democrats to put themselves
00:20:51.820 in power and put the democrats in a position of power and you know you go ask people in the
00:20:56.620 republican grassroots you go ask i think you may hear from matt rinaldi who's the party chair
00:21:00.300 great party chair grassroots guy he says do the democrats run the texas house yeah the democrats
00:21:05.460 run the texas house you know conservatives certainly don't run the texas house and so while it is true
00:21:11.880 texas is a bastion for maga texas is a bastion for freedom in this country the republican grassroots
00:21:17.560 in texas are amazing people and they have a heck of a voice they've got their guy as attorney general
00:21:24.460 they have other elected officials in the state who are good people who've gotten elected to significant
00:21:29.060 roles but they're they're not in unilateral control of the state but by no means you have
00:21:35.220 still these vestiges of power that date back to the time when this was a hundred percent democrat
00:21:41.220 state and the republicans met in a phone book uh phone booth so um that's how it happens it's simple
00:21:47.620 uh coalition politics uh in in the texas house uh this this establishment republican group
00:21:55.400 has controlled that and they have controlled it for you know more than a decade now
00:21:59.540 can you before you go i want to go back to this original investigation you said that triggered all
00:22:06.280 this that that there's an investigation of the texas dps which most people would think would be the
00:22:12.160 texas rangers but you said they really have turned into the texas fbi can you just give us some details
00:22:16.460 what was paxton investigating and why why were why was the republican establishment so upset about that
00:22:23.060 that's what the attorney general is supposed to do isn't he yeah well so um there's and it
00:22:29.300 the details are kind of obscure to some degree but it's it's what happened in that
00:22:34.760 premised on the impeachment is premised entirely on this idea that this uh non-profit foundation
00:22:42.600 that invested in some business real estate deals in austin was in the right and the guy that they invested
00:22:50.840 in was bad guy okay that's the premise of the whole thing but there's a whole alternative premise
00:22:57.120 and there's really interesting facts on that they're in the file they just don't get highlighted
00:23:01.400 where you have potential serious corruption by the fbi and by texas dps texas rangers which is
00:23:10.500 basically the texas fbi coming in to advantage people who are connected to a non-profit to then try and
00:23:17.580 basically steal real estate deals and steal money from real estate deals and that happens in real
00:23:22.240 estate all the time i mean developers have their deals stolen out from under them all the time it's a
00:23:26.460 whole back and forth that goes on in real estate and so you know the premise is paxton's bad because
00:23:32.060 he's investigating this and he's taking the side of the one guy and he's not taking the side of the
00:23:36.300 foundation but there's there's a lot of mixed facts there so when you look at it you go wait a second
00:23:40.380 you know paxton there's no evidence paxton believed he was in the wrong or wasn't in the right so it's
00:23:46.480 going in and investigating something like that and the the premises that the fbi or the dps could be bad
00:23:52.800 guys um i accept that i understand that that certainly can be the case i don't think i think

00:25:23.580 the leading attorney general of of challenging the biden regime for everything they're trying to do that

00:25:34.980 too because again they overwhelmingly uh supported ken paxton and we've got a new poll that is coming
00:25:41.920 out on monday um that we are going to be releasing and 94 percent of the voters that we have polled
00:25:48.440 know everything that is going on and overwhelmingly they are still supporting ken paxton in fact a mass
00:25:55.220 majority 52 percent of the people want all of the charges dismissed immediately they don't want to go
00:26:01.680 through this political theater they don't want to allow the establishment and the rhinos a chance to
00:26:06.700 turn this into some kind of clown show they want the senate to go in there they want them to dismiss it
00:26:12.820 and they want attorney general ken paxton back in office nobody's really talking about that steve but
00:26:17.920 right now he's not in office so we have the biden administration literally running the entire show
00:26:24.460 that office is essentially not functioning for everyday texans and we've had lawsuits that are

00:27:07.640 democrats working with establishment republicans that essentially control the house in uh in texas
