00:04:58.840 Okay, welcome.
00:04:59.840 It is Monday, 11th September, in the year of the Lord, 2023.
00:05:02.840 If we can just do that, keep that on split screen.
00:05:06.840 Real America's voice coverage with the war room of remembrance of 9-11, both the individuals in the event and what led up to it and what has happened to our country and the world since then.
00:05:19.840 Let's go.
00:05:20.840 We've got live coverage with Tara Dahl and David Zier at the location.
00:05:25.840 Let's go to David and Tara.
00:05:28.840 David, where are you guys in relation to where the reading of the names are taking place?
00:05:32.840 We're right across from the reflecting pools right near the Glades Park, the Memorial Park, and right outside the fire department, Memorial Engine 343, ladder 10, which lost five firefighters.
00:05:46.840 And my friend Pete went down, one of my best friends in Building 2 in the South Tower, which went down in a quick 55 minutes.
00:05:55.840 Right across from us here, we're outside of O'Hara's Pub.
00:05:58.840 We're right behind Trinity Church, St. Paul's, which was George Washington's church.
00:06:03.840 3,000 first responders got respite in there and were fed for months after the attacks.
00:06:09.840 It was miraculously unscathed during the attacks.
00:06:12.840 And these buildings we're at right now were covered in debris, and they made a full recovery.
00:06:20.840 David, we just had the commemoration of the South Tower coming down at 9.58.
00:06:26.840 And for the audience, maybe that have not been with us over the years, they do a reading of the names of all the individuals in 2,977 that lost their lives.
00:06:37.840 The reading of the names, and they play.
00:06:39.840 There you heard Amazing Grace being played in the background of this music the entire time.
00:06:44.840 And then at 10.28, the North Tower comes down, and we will break for that also.
00:06:50.840 David, give us, succinctly give us, you probably better than anybody have covered this literally from 93.
00:06:57.840 Give us what led to this from 1993 to the event itself.
00:07:04.840 Well, the attacks were inspired.
00:07:06.840 Bin Laden was inspired by the Egypt air flight that crashed off of Long Island in Nantucket when the pilot dove into the sea with that 767.
00:07:14.840 But this goes way back.
00:07:16.840 There's been 25-year history of post and pre-911 attacks on New York City.
00:07:21.840 The Al-Faruq mosques in Brooklyn, the Al-Salam mosques in Jersey City were radicalized by the blind sheikh who came here after being thrown out of Egypt for his involvement in killing Anwar Sadat after the Camp David peace accords.
00:07:35.840 You know, they came here.
00:07:36.840 They assembled.
00:07:37.840 They planned on breaking El Sayyid Nocer out of prison, who killed Mayor Kahana in the Mariette East Side.
00:07:44.840 But it led to more.
00:07:45.840 And they wanted to blow up 13 synagogues, kidnap Aldamato's daughter.
00:07:49.840 But Kallik KSM sent his nephew here, Ramzi Youssef, in 92.
00:07:54.840 And he said, why are you guys thinking so small?
00:07:56.840 So we taught him how to make this uraic acid, you know, ammonium nitrate diesel fertilizer bomb.
00:08:01.840 And they put 1,500 pounds of it in a rider truck rental in the wrong parking garage at the WTC.
00:08:08.840 It killed six, wounded 1,000.
00:08:10.840 It could have been a lot worse.
00:08:11.840 And it was a New York City motor pool guy, a BOCES-educated guy, vocation, who solved it because the FBI couldn't get the VIN number to match up from the axle on that rental van.
00:08:23.840 And he said, wait, there's another book on rentals.
00:08:25.840 It's masked.
00:08:26.840 So he unlocked the whole thing.
00:08:29.840 And they invited Mahmoud Abouhalima and Mohamed Salome back to the rider truck rental in Jersey and arrested them when they went back to get their deposit.
00:08:37.840 But this unfolded even further because Sheikh Rahman, three months later, was going to blow up the St. Regis Hotel, the U.N.
00:08:44.840 The Sudanese Embassy apparently gave them access to the U.N. parking garage, the GW Bridge, FBI headquarters, the Midtown Tunnel, the Holland Tunnel.
00:08:53.840 They bought 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel from a gas station owner, a Muslim gas station owner in Yonkers, New York.
00:08:59.840 And they were caught on that day of terror.
00:09:03.840 And things, you know, devolved from there.
00:09:05.840 And there's been more attacks.
00:09:06.840 And just remember, before 9-11, there was a $32 million weapons plot broken up in northern Jersey in the Jersey City area that rarely gets talked about where they were going to.
00:09:17.840 It was an ATF sting.
00:09:19.840 And they rounded up Islamic fundamentalists at that point in time.
00:09:23.840 But even before 9-11, they killed Massoud, the Lion of Panjir, two days before on August 9th, who had 8,000 troops at the Northern Alliance.
00:09:34.840 He was keeping the Taliban at bay or having success against them.
00:09:37.840 And that's when bin Laden declared war on the West.
00:09:41.840 Talk to me about that day.
00:09:47.840 And we'll talk about the investigation later because I think there's still, I believe, still more unanswered questions than answered.
00:09:54.840 But talk to me about your recollections from that day.
00:09:56.840 Well, I was out on Long Island.
00:10:00.840 I heard that my friend Pete Brennan in Rescue 4 might have been going up with the FDNY.
00:10:06.840 We were waiting for word back.
00:10:07.840 And that tower fell first.
00:10:09.840 Very tragic.
00:10:10.840 I lost other friends.
00:10:11.840 And my sister lost 81 clients.
00:10:13.840 It's impacted my family, friends, fiancés, family members of mine.
00:10:17.840 And fathers were lost.
00:10:18.840 And it impacted.
00:10:19.840 Long Island lost 500 people about that day.
00:10:22.840 Jersey lost a ton of people.
00:10:24.840 So it's really impacted everybody's lives here.
00:10:26.840 And for the people on the ground here who are working the 9-11 site, they dispel the theories about Building 7.
00:10:34.840 That had 10 floors on fire for seven hours straight.
00:10:39.840 And that superstructure was rocked.
00:10:41.840 Five buildings went down that day.
00:10:43.840 They found fuselage three and four blocks away, a jet engine three blocks away that went through the towers.
00:10:50.840 Thousands witnessed the attacks.
00:10:52.840 It was truly a terrible day.
00:10:54.840 It's really impacted Long Island.
00:10:56.840 I'm a little encouraged impact in New York, the New York area, and the country.
00:11:01.840 I'm encouraged here today, though, because we just interviewed people from Italy, Spain, England.
00:11:06.840 They're coming from all over the world.
00:11:08.840 I just spoke to a couple from the Netherlands.
00:11:10.840 And they know what happened here that day when radical jihad, you know, was declared on the West and the United States.
00:11:18.840 And we've uncovered so many attacks since then.
00:11:20.840 The JFK gas pipeline attack.
00:11:22.840 A good friend of mine was the team leader for the FBI JTTF on that.
00:11:26.840 They broke up the Dix Hills plot, the assassination plot.
00:11:30.840 The Times Square bomber put the fuse in backwards so it didn't kill people in Times Square.
00:11:34.840 The subway bombers, the Chelsea pressure cooker bombers.
00:11:38.840 Jersey had a bomb set there as well that went off.
00:11:42.840 So, you know, this is a very long history of events.
00:11:46.840 New York has been under assault.
00:11:48.840 They foiled the plot to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge in 2003.
00:11:51.840 And the list just goes on and on here.
00:11:53.840 And people have to recognize this for what it really was.
00:11:57.840 We were caught off guard.
00:11:58.840 There were intelligence gaps.
00:11:59.840 There was walls put up in 95, further walls between the CIA and the FBI.
00:12:04.840 We arrested Zacharias Massawi, the 20th hijacker, for asking crazy questions when he was enrolled in flight school.
00:12:12.840 But they let him go and they didn't get a warrant to search his apartment.
00:12:16.840 And after 9-11, they went and finally got that.
00:12:19.840 And they found the plot, you know, on his laptop.
00:12:23.840 So, yes, there was missteps made.
00:12:25.840 But I don't think the United States government or at least the White House, you know, did not know about this.
00:12:30.840 There was no credible, specific threats.
00:12:32.840 They knew something was going on.
00:12:34.840 And just remember that these guys went to the flight schools here after coming over from the Hamburg cell,
00:12:38.840 which had 29 Islamic radicals in there, with Ramzi bin al-Sheib and Mohammed Atta,
00:12:43.840 who was the signer of the lease in the Netherlands.
00:12:45.840 They planned this from the Internet cafes in the Netherlands.
00:12:48.840 And when they came here, it was only a few months before that a lot of them started taking the flight lessons.
00:12:52.840 It wasn't like a year ahead.
00:12:54.840 So there was an agent in Arizona who raised the red flag.
00:12:58.840 There was, but they didn't have the coordination on the counterterrorism like they did post 9-11.
00:13:03.840 So it's a truly tragic day, you know, for New Yorkers, but we're getting through.
00:13:09.840 Well, we're going to come back to the investigation in a second,
00:13:12.840 because I still believe there are many more unanswered questions than have been put forward to the American people.
00:13:19.840 Particularly, I am not a big fan of the 9-11 with the, what is it, 17, 20 pages redacted.
00:13:26.840 But I'll come back to you in a second, David.
00:13:29.840 Right.
00:13:30.840 Tara, you have spent a lot of your life focused on the aftermath of what happened in the Middle East,
00:13:36.840 particularly with the Christian persecution in Afghanistan and particularly in Iraq.
00:13:41.840 Tell us about it.
00:13:44.840 Thank you, Steve.
00:13:45.840 I spent time, you know, so many Americans' lives were changed on this day 22 years ago.
00:13:51.840 People left their careers and they joined the military to serve overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq.
00:13:56.840 I served in Afghanistan, Steve, with the American Red Cross, serving our troops.
00:14:01.840 And then I went back and embedded with the U.S. Marines in Helmand Province.
00:14:04.840 I spent six months in Iraq and to Crete, serving with the American Red Cross as well, just serving our troops.
00:14:10.840 And so the toll that was taken on so many people that volunteered to pick up arms and go fight for our nation is what we're remembering today.
00:14:19.840 But this goes back to the time to really reflect in the last 22 years on really the global war on terrorism and look at it and look at our failures,
00:14:28.840 look at what worked and who was the real enemy that we were fighting.
00:14:31.840 Well, that was something that I spent a lot of time on the ground, like you said, Steve, and wrote a lot for Breitbart.
00:14:37.840 You were the one person.
00:14:38.840 Breitbart was the one news organization that was really covering the Arab Spring and pushing back on that Islamist control over these Arab governments.
00:14:46.840 And that plan was a 20-year plan, remember, by Al-Qaeda.
00:14:50.840 The Arab Spring was a 20-year plan.
00:14:52.840 And what Al-Qaeda's 20-year plan was is they wanted to remove those Arab secular dictators and put in Islamist governments.
00:15:00.840 And so when we look back at the 20 years of fighting global war on terrorism,
00:15:05.840 one thing that people really need to keep in mind is this was really started after World War I with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.
00:15:13.840 And it was the establishment of the Muslim Brotherhood in 1928.
00:15:17.840 That's where Osama bin Laden really came from.
00:15:19.840 That's where Ayman Zahiri's ideology came from.
00:15:22.840 Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who is now in Guantanamo.
00:15:25.840 That's where that ideology really came from.
00:15:27.840 But it turned to that militant Islamic terrorism.
00:15:30.840 And so what we're fighting when we look back now with Afghanistan, you know, we initially went into Afghanistan after 9-11.
00:15:36.840 We took out the Taliban. We defeated Al-Qaeda with a very small special forces unit, the CIA.
00:15:42.840 And remember, we worked with the Northern Alliance.
00:15:44.840 And as David had mentioned, Ahmad Massoud, he is the Lion of Panjshir, was assassinated the day before 9-11.
00:15:51.840 I interviewed his son last year about what's happening now in Afghanistan and what the resistance is doing in Afghanistan.
00:15:58.840 And just to look back at where we are now in Afghanistan, where we are in Iraq, and the overall global war on terrorism.
00:16:04.840 And I think some of the key mistakes, Steve, that we made early on is, A, we didn't focus on Pakistan.
00:16:10.840 You know, we took our eye off of Pakistan.
00:16:12.840 And Pakistan, Steve, is where the Taliban were getting all their training.
00:16:15.840 The Haqqani Network, they were part of the arm of the ISI, of the Pakistani intelligence services.
00:16:21.840 And so we really kind of missed that boat there.
00:16:24.840 But what we really need to focus on, I think, today is the lives of those that served overseas.
00:16:31.840 And to make sure that, you know, they're not in vain.
00:16:33.840 And look at what Biden did in Afghanistan.
00:16:35.840 He completely withdrew now.
00:16:36.840 And so all these service members who sacrificed, and I went over there, I saw it firsthand.
00:16:41.840 I was in the hospitals with them when they came back.
00:16:44.840 And it's just, we are in a position of weakness now under this Biden administration.
00:16:49.840 He's portrayed as just a sense of weakness to all of our enemies.
00:16:54.840 So I would say that we are more vulnerable now today than we were pre-9-11.
00:17:00.840 The former KGB Colonel, Vladimir Putin, who, by the way, is no friend of the United States,
00:17:06.840 called the U.S. dollar's drop in dominance objective and irreversible during the recent BRICS conference in South Africa,
00:17:15.840 as Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa formally agreed to use local currencies instead of the U.S. dollar.
00:17:24.840 It's the first shoe to fall.
00:17:27.840 We call this the de-dollarization movement.
00:17:31.840 Now, as demand for the dollar weakens, the buying power of the dollar weakens.
00:17:36.840 That is why Birch Gold Group is busier than ever.
00:17:39.840 Investors and savers are looking to harness the power of physical gold held in a tax-sheltered IRA.

00:18:36.840 David, talk to me about the commemoration itself.
00:18:42.840 I'll tell you, we're going to go to, give me a minute on how New York remembers this.
00:18:47.840 It's 22 years after, people said after the 20th this thing would fade.
00:18:51.840 But it looks like there's still a lot of focus on this. Talk to me about the day itself.
00:18:55.840 Well, there's a lot of attendance here.
00:18:59.840 You know, like I said, people from around the world, a lot of FDNY, a lot of NYPD.
00:19:03.840 A lot of people don't want to come on camera because they lost so many people and they're still upset about it.
00:19:07.840 It's still raw, 22 years later.
00:19:11.840 But like I told you last year, you know, I don't know if enough people know about what really happened here
00:19:17.840 and what led up, you know, to this incredible history of terrorism and the battle that was going on between the JTTF, you know,
00:19:24.840 and New York in particular, and it went on for a really long time.
00:19:29.840 I wish more people understood, you know, the threats and what was going on here.
00:19:34.840 But I got to say that there's a lot of people here today.
00:19:40.840 It's a lot of security. Security is tighter than previous years here as well.
00:19:45.840 But, you know, I know Rudy Giuliani we were hoping to catch up with after the ceremony.
00:19:52.840 You know, we're going to get hopefully we'll get some more perspectives.
00:19:57.840 Just hang on for one second. You guys stay right there.
00:20:00.840 I want to go to Tara just mentioned about people's lives changing.
00:20:04.840 I want to bring in now Congressman Eli Crane, formerly Petty Officer Eli Crane.
00:20:10.840 Eli joins us. Eli, talk to us about the impact of 9-11 on your life personally.
00:20:16.840 Thanks, Steve, for having me.
00:20:19.840 Twenty-two years ago, my life changed forever.
00:20:23.840 I was at the University of Arizona doing a program called the Ranger Challenge early in the morning
00:20:29.840 preparing to join the military, and then I was going to go do my class load for the day.
00:20:35.840 And I remember turning on the radio after I left the program and heard all the chatter.
00:20:41.840 I would listen to talk radio and of the towers being attacked.
00:20:46.840 And I remember I went to the house I was living in and I woke up all the guys in the house
00:20:51.840 so that they could come listen and watch this with me.
00:20:54.840 And I remember I took the next couple days to think about it and pray about it.
00:20:59.840 And I remember calling my parents and telling them that I was going to go enlist in the Navy.
00:21:05.840 And, you know, they weren't too happy to hear about it because I was a senior.
00:21:10.840 I had about a year left to graduate.
00:21:13.840 But I just knew that the nation was going to need the next generation to step up and go fight this.
00:21:20.840 We didn't have all the details at the time.
00:21:23.840 I just knew that the nation needed the next generation to step up.
00:21:27.840 And so it took me about a week and a half to get on a bird and fly to Great Lakes, Illinois,
00:21:36.840 where I went to a naval boot camp and then spent the next five years trying to become a Navy SEAL.
00:21:42.840 And once I did that, I ended up, you know, doing three deployments, all three of them to Iraq.
00:21:51.840 And as I sit here and reflect and watch the videos, Steve, of the planes being attacked
00:21:57.840 and the comms with the air traffic controllers and, you know, people in the skies
00:22:02.840 and, you know, people calling from the towers, you know, talking about how hot the flames are.
00:22:07.840 It pisses me off and it pisses me off, Steve, because I think about when I'm in the Homeland Security Committee room
00:22:14.840 and I sit there and I look at my counterparts on the other side of the aisle and we're talking about border security
00:22:21.840 and they don't want to hear it.
00:22:23.840 And I think about how many people it took, only 19 people to pull off those attacks.
00:22:30.840 And we know that they had support networks, but it's not that big of a number.
00:22:35.840 And I think just in the last couple of years, there's been hundreds of people on the terror watch list
00:22:41.840 that have been encountered at the southern border.
00:22:43.840 And my Democratic colleagues won't even acknowledge the basics, the basic speed of security systems.
00:22:52.840 And a part of that is a wall and how important a wall or a barrier or a fence are to any security system.
00:23:00.840 They play politics and they put politics above America and American lives.
00:23:05.840 And I hate to make this political, Steve, but it is this has political implications.
00:23:11.840 And when people play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
00:23:15.840 And that we are headed right back for another moment like that, if not worse.
00:23:20.840 And it just really pisses me off.
00:23:24.840 What can you just drill down that for a second?
00:23:27.840 Because you actually went and did something after 9-11 to serve your country to make sure this didn't happen again.
00:23:34.840 I mean, today, we're sitting here in New York City.
00:23:36.840 Eric Adams just reiterated yesterday.
00:23:38.840 There's one hundred and ten thousand illegal aliens that have come through on this on this invasion of the southern border,
00:23:45.840 just in the metropolitan New York City area alone.
00:23:48.840 So when you're sitting there in Homeland Security, is the opposition and even random Republicans that are they do they not remember 9-11?
00:23:57.840 Do they not remember the details of it?
00:23:59.840 Do they not remember the sacrifice of innocent Americans and then folks like yourself that stepped up to the plate and put yourself in harm's way so it wouldn't happen again?
00:24:08.840 You know, I won't say that they won't remember it, Steve, but they they don't move with the purpose as if it could happen again.
00:24:16.840 You know, I think if I think if we were to transfer ourselves back to September 12 to 2001 and that was fresh on people's minds, I don't think you would see people acting on both sides of the aisle like we do today.
00:24:33.840 I think you would see them moving with a purpose as in, hey, we've got to actually take this seriously.
00:24:39.840 But how quickly we forget we are prone to wander as human beings and that and that's what I see across the board.
00:24:47.840 And, you know, it's like, Steve, when I think about all the missions that myself and my teammates went on, how many times we put our life at risk to, you know, go over there, you know, get a, you know, high value target planning off and then go after, you know, that individual to kill or capture that individual.
00:25:07.840 Every time we rolled the dice, leaving the wire coming back home and how many how many more years and more deployments of other SEAL teams, Rangers, Special Forces guys, Marine units, Army soldiers, et cetera, et cetera.
00:25:23.080 It just really it really bothers me because when you look at the leadership in the military, how political it is, how political it's become and you just see all the nonsense that the commanders and the admirals and the generals are going on, you know, going along with today, whether it's diversity, equity, inclusion.
00:25:45.760 Or any of the social engineering that's going on in our military, it really terrifies me, man, because I know I know how many enemies we have out there that are very, very cunning.
00:26:00.680 They're very smart. They're very dangerous and they hate. And I use I don't use that word lightly, Steve. They hate us.
00:26:07.480 And it really bothers me that, you know, we've gotten to the place that we're at in this country, not only where it seems as if we've forgotten how dangerous the world is, but that we put politics over the safety of Americans.
00:26:24.240 Have we, in your mind, have we given all the expenditure of blood and treasure in Iraq, in Afghanistan, was it 8,000, I think, KIAs, 50,000 wounded, PTSD, suicides every day, $9 trillion spent on both of it?
00:26:46.080 Did we, did we actually begin to solve the problem that 9-11 exposed?
00:26:57.180 I don't think we've, I don't think we've solved any problem, Steve, honestly. I think we're just rolling right into Ukraine. Another, you know, forever war. Just keep that, you know, keep that dollar, you know, tachometer rolling.
00:27:13.820 I mean, they're just, we're just going to, we just continue to escalate in Ukraine. Nobody from Afghanistan, you know, is being held accountable with all the PTSD, all the blood, all the treasure you just mentioned.
00:27:29.040 We're just going to roll that into Ukraine. And, you know, I can't believe it at times when I sit there either on the house floor or I walk around and I talk to other individuals, you know, even some of them who are veterans.
00:27:42.200 And I'll be like, what, what are, what are we doing? I mean, there's no objective. And, you know, there's no accountability for the funds that we're sending over there.
00:27:51.720 You know, you know, what happens, what happens if any of this talk that you hear on Russian television, you know, where they send a, you know, nuclear tip ICBM across the pond and you watch the nearest city to you, whether it's Phoenix or Dallas or Chicago or Seattle, become a mushroom cloud.
00:28:14.880 Is it going to be worth it then? Is it going to be worth it then? Because you have, you can't just ignore, you know, what could possibly happen, Steve.
00:28:24.800 You have to go to the most severe possible outcome and think about, hey, is the juice worth the squeeze? Is this worth what we're doing in Ukraine right now?
00:28:35.420 And we are so arrogant, Steve. This government is so arrogant, so ignorant, so foolish. We've had it so good for so long that it's just like we have nobody that counts the cost anymore.
00:28:48.300 We're about a minute away from the commemoration of the North Tower coming down. What are your constituents out in Arizona?
00:29:01.820 When they think about 9-11, what are the thoughts that come to the folks out there that you represent?
00:29:06.660 You know, Steve, they have a – I represent a very patriotic district, and they don't forget, but they see the same thing that I'm seeing.
00:29:21.040 They see how it correlates to today. They see that we haven't learned a lesson.
00:29:25.820 They see us jumping right into another forever war as we continue to escalate, and they're disgusted by it.
00:29:32.560 They're disgusted by it, and they know that there are Americans hurting all over this country.
00:29:38.580 They know that there are Americans in Hawaii right now that are homeless and in horrible conditions,
00:29:46.080 but they see politicians who will attach monies to go help Hawaiians right with money to fund Ukraine, and you can't vote.
00:29:56.760 You have to vote on both at the same time.
00:29:58.800 That's how cynical, that's how, you know, diabolical these folks are in Washington, D.C., and they're disgusted by it.
00:30:07.940 Eli, can you hang on for one second? Eli Crane by phone. We have a team there. We're going to go live to the site right now.
00:30:14.560 Do you get the feeling that something bad is going to happen soon?
00:30:17.760 Hey, being here in the cockpit of the war room, I certainly do.
00:30:22.080 But between the distractions and smokescreens in the media, we probably won't see it coming.
00:30:28.760 That's why it's smart to invest in emergency food right away.
00:30:31.980 As they say, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

00:32:28.660 Lisa King Johnson, Brian K. Kinney, Takashi Kino Shita, Chris Michael Kirby, Robert Kirkpatrick.
00:32:40.580 Eli, if you can just hang on for one second. Can I go to Tara Dahl? I want to go to Tara Dahl.
00:32:44.820 We have a fireman, Ken Corrigan, who's there. I understand he doesn't have an IFB.
00:32:52.920 Tara, just ask him and David his recollections. He was there on 9-11, his recollections to that day.
00:33:00.140 Okay.
00:33:00.740 We have Ken Corrigan with us. He was a volunteer firefighter.
00:33:18.740 Go ahead, Karen. Just ask about that day, Tara.
00:33:29.880 Okay. Yeah. Ken, what was it like being here on 9-11? What was the day like?
00:33:36.420 Most frightening, horrifying day of anybody who was down here.
00:33:51.680 You know, not just for me, but for everybody that was down here.
00:33:54.760 Our guys in this firehouse, you know, losing as many members as they did.
00:34:00.100 They were the first ones into the South Tower.
00:34:03.420 Coming down here, not knowing what was really happening, what was really going on
00:34:12.680 until it finally hit over the radios.
00:34:17.100 You know, North Tower, South Tower hit.
00:34:22.200 And then hearing over the division radios, you know,
00:34:28.320 all units that are driving into one World Trade Center, you're driving into a war.
00:34:33.180 That, I mean, literally set me back.
00:34:38.760 And to know that this was our modern-day Pearl Harbor.
00:34:46.220 You know, I was down here three days later,
00:34:50.300 and hundreds of ambulances at the Marine Terminal, none of them are moving.
00:34:54.240 And I was at the top before the pile by Ray's Pizza,
00:34:57.500 and all these Chicago Fire Department, big husky guys coming out with the 1,000-yard stare,
00:35:02.640 knowing there were no survivors.
00:35:04.580 What were those following few days like?
00:35:08.400 You know, the following few days afterwards, you know,
00:35:11.160 I watched my guys from Aviation Volunteer Fire Department go down to the pile.
00:35:18.740 I was told the day of 9-11 when I was at St. Vincent's, don't come back.
00:35:23.040 You know, it was, it wouldn't be good for my, you know, for my health, you know, and stuff.
00:35:29.380 But my guys came down.
00:35:30.940 And for us, just, just surviving.
00:35:40.660 You know, Steve, Ken, right?
00:35:42.760 Ken.
00:35:42.940 I wanted to bring up to you.
00:35:44.560 Steve, I wanted to just bring up, you know,
00:35:46.580 just as many firefighters have died since 9-11 from illnesses.
00:35:50.720 It's up to 682 FDNY.
00:35:53.100 And 5,000 first responders on top of the 2,700 have died.
00:35:58.460 27,000 plus have cancer.
00:36:01.440 What do you think?
00:36:02.240 Is the city doing a good job?
00:36:03.380 You're overrun with the legals.
00:36:04.660 You're at a 23-year high for felony assaults and crime.
00:36:07.640 Is the city stepping up?
00:36:08.920 I, you know, as far as, you know, I've lost a lot of friends.
00:36:19.020 The day of and the days afterwards.
00:36:21.720 And a lot of the friends that I lost, I mean, just, it breaks, it still breaks my heart to this day.
00:36:30.720 But as far as, like, you know, is the city stepping up?
00:36:34.220 Is the city doing its job and everything?
00:36:36.260 I can't really say that for sure.
00:36:38.480 I didn't want to get political on it, but it's so tragic.
00:36:42.340 70,000, 125,000 people registered with the World Trade Center health program right now.
00:36:47.980 Well, you know, I, you know, I've been looking to do that and everything.
00:36:54.820 You know, I haven't done it as of yet, but I know at some point, you know, I have to get it done and whatnot.
00:37:05.880 But I think the most important thing for me to say is that for those of, for those that didn't come back on that day,
00:37:16.720 for those that, you know, that are still responding.
00:37:24.820 23 NYPD, 37 Port Authority, 343 FDNY, 1 Fire Patrol, and a lot of other, you know, maybe federal officers and court officers,
00:37:41.900 you know, that were inside the towers that didn't make it out.
00:37:45.780 You know, it's the city's grateful for all the first responders for 100,000 came through here to help, right?
00:37:55.680 Absolutely.
00:37:56.340 Absolutely.
00:37:56.940 And I mean, you know, I was coming down here this morning and everything, you know, driving down the West Side Highway,
00:38:01.880 and I got to about Christopher Street, and there were people on the side with their signs, you know, thank you heroes and everything.
00:38:09.240 You know, and I literally had to open up my window and say, you know, thank you for that.
00:38:13.400 The silver lining.
00:38:14.320 What would you say to Americans about 9-11?
00:38:20.200 Never forget.
00:38:22.140 If they, I mean, somebody, somebody made that a forever slogan, never forget 9-11.
00:38:30.920 Never forget.
00:38:31.840 Thank you very much for your service.
00:38:36.740 Thank you.
00:38:37.480 Yeah.
00:38:38.680 Thank you, guys.
00:38:39.540 We'll be right back to you.
00:38:40.440 Hang over a second.
00:38:41.480 Eli Crane.
00:38:43.620 Fireman Ken Corrigan says, never forget.
00:38:47.720 What are we supposed to not forget, Congressman Eli Crane?
00:38:53.240 You know, I'm going to step that up a notch, Steve.
00:38:57.040 And I'm going to say, let's, instead of never forget, how about never again?
00:39:01.880 I think that's much more important, even though I do, I do want to remember every, everyone and all the mistakes that we made up to that point and how that was able to happen in the first place.
00:39:16.140 But I want to make sure that that never happens again.
00:39:18.520 And if, if, if that's going to be a reality, Steve, we have to, we have to quit being arrogant.
00:39:23.980 We have to, we have to be smart.
00:39:26.380 We have to be wise.
00:39:27.360 We have to understand that there are plenty of people around the world and even people within our own country that wish us harm.
00:39:33.500 And that takes, you know, that takes serious security measures being put in place.
00:39:40.420 And most, more importantly, Steve, it takes us putting politics aside and actually, like I said, you know, putting the American people first.
00:39:52.020 And we are clearly not doing that.
00:39:53.880 And, you know, you can see it reflected all across the political spectrum, how many complete morons that we have in office.
00:40:03.160 And you see it at the border, Steve, you guys do some of the best reporting in the world down there.
00:40:10.420 If not the best reporting.
00:40:12.420 And I know you guys understand how open that southern border is.
00:40:16.080 Everybody, everybody around the world that has a desire to harm the United States of America knows that that border is open and there's a really good chance if they pay enough money and they work with the right groups, they can get their cells and their assassins through that southern border.
00:40:35.600 I want everybody to remember, as we remember today, the heroes, the innocent victims and the heroes of 9-11, that 22 years later, we have 110,000 illegal aliens in metropolitan New York.
00:40:53.760 That is not my number.
00:40:55.060 That is the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, who's looking right now.
00:40:57.920 He said the city will be destroyed.
00:40:59.760 And he's the guy that declared a sanctuary city.
00:41:01.920 Last thing, we've got Ralph Norman coming up in a second.
00:41:04.520 But, Eli, before I lose you, Fireman Corrigan says never forget.
00:41:09.820 Eli Crane says never again.
00:41:12.500 Corrigan brought up Pearl Harbor.
00:41:15.240 I can tell you, having read, I think, every part of the testimony in the seven different commissions and committees to investigate Pearl Harbor, there's still many unanswered questions about Pearl Harbor.
00:41:28.400 There is, even in the official, the official 9-11 Commission report, there are pages and pages that are absolutely blank, totally redacted about involvement of foreign governments in their association with 9-11.
00:41:43.520 Do you believe that the basic premise of understanding of never forgetting and never having it happen again is we must actually get to the bottom of what actually happened on 9-11 and who is directly accountable and who dropped the ball?
00:42:01.100 But what other nations, people, people in this country were involved, who's accountable, and who and what institutions either looked the other way or dropped the ball?
00:42:12.320 Do you think that is a predicate to make sure this never happens again?
00:42:16.020 Absolutely, Steve.
00:42:19.560 Absolutely.
00:42:24.000 Eli, how do people get to you?
00:42:26.240 What's your social media?
00:42:27.320 This is going to be a firestorm when you get back on many different topics from Ukraine to the budget to impeachment.
00:42:33.240 You're one of the young leaders of this movement.
00:42:35.640 How do people follow you?
00:42:38.080 Rep Eli Crane on social media.
00:42:40.060 Thank you, Steve, for all you guys do, and I really appreciate the opportunity to come on today.
00:42:47.020 Thanks, Eli, and thanks to all your folks out there in Arizona.
00:42:50.120 Fantastic.
00:42:53.480 Biden was in Hanoi last night.
00:42:57.020 The Pentagon Papers published by the New York Times, compiled by executives in the Pentagon, shows the lying that the government did, the bald-faced lying the government did about our progress in Vietnam.
00:43:13.060 The Afghanistan papers published by the Washington Post show the almost 20 years of lying that the government did, the military did, about the situation in Afghanistan, the reality in the ground.
00:43:26.140 And the Afghanistan papers they published are every bit as damning as the Pentagon Papers.
00:43:32.460 Over the weekend, the Secret Service agent of Jackie Kennedy in the New York Times, not in Breitbart or not in Gateway Pundit or not at Citizens Free Press, but under Peter Baker, the lead White House correspondent of the New York Times, interviewed the Secret Service agent who completely eviscerated the magic bullet theory.
00:43:59.360 With eyewitness testimony from the day, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. came out last night and said that his testimony – by the way, he was never called before the Warren Commission.
00:44:11.040 I want everybody to understand this. He was never called before the Warren Commission.
00:44:15.480 Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says that his eyewitness account completely eviscerates the magic bullet theory, which has been the central underlying predicate for the sole – for Lee Harvey Oswald or the lone gunman theory.
00:44:31.180 This has happened over the last 24, 48 hours.
00:44:36.260 Congressman Ralph Norman joins us.
00:44:38.580 Congressman, thank you. You've been one of the leaders about getting our financial house in order.
00:44:42.280 People have to remember Osama bin Laden and his manifesto that he put out shortly thereafter on 9-11 to claim credit for it.
00:44:52.020 He very specifically targeted Wall Street because he wanted to bring down the financial system that the United States was the backbone of.
00:44:59.800 Twenty-two years later, our financial house is in complete disarray.
00:45:05.600 Part of that is because of the spending that went on in the Iraq and Afghanistan war, but it's been much worse than that.
00:45:11.700 Where do you think we stand, sir?
00:45:13.320 And how does all of our financial situation actually go back to some of the actions that were taken after 9-11?
00:45:21.120 Well, first of all, Steve, thank you for you in the war room for putting a face with the tragedy that happened on 9-11 22 years ago.
00:45:29.660 It's heart-wrenching to see the testimonies of the people that were there, and so thank you for doing this.
00:45:35.560 As far as the financial order, we've got an internal destruction of our financial system going on now.
00:45:40.820 I've been very frustrated with, you know, we've been out a month, and I've come to the conclusion, Steve, it just isn't a priority of either the Democrats or the Republicans, to be honest with you, to get a financial house in order.
00:45:58.220 You know, you always hear the numbers, $35 trillion in debt.
00:46:02.320 What you don't hear is all the agencies from Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, interest on the $800-some billion for the military, which we're not even addressing with any of this that we're doing now.
00:46:16.760 So at some point, we've got to make a stand.
00:46:20.100 I think we are going to make a stand with the Freedom Caucus and many others, Eli Crane being one of the real heroes of what we're trying to do with government.
00:46:31.020 But government's not going to do it on their own.
00:46:33.800 And Osama bin Laden, he did his part to destroy it from the air, and the internal bureaucrats are doing their part to destroy it from the inside, unfortunately.
00:46:42.880 And the Biden administration is front and center stage.
00:46:45.100 Do you – when you say – I think it's pretty shocking, particularly for this audience.
00:46:52.520 When you say it's not a priority, you know, today every paper's got some aspect of Kevin McCarthy coming back and being under tremendous pressure.
00:47:03.000 Is your feeling that it's not a priority to get this spending?
00:47:05.560 Because we've essentially partly done to ourselves what Osama bin Laden wanted to happen, which is to destroy the American economy, to destroy really free market capitalism and have this –
00:47:19.040 because you understood that a robust America, an America with a great economy, with free men and women adding to that economy and enjoying the fruits of liberty.
00:47:35.140 He had to take that out to have a global Islamic caliphate.
00:47:41.060 But we've done this to ourselves in the last 10 or 15 years.
00:47:46.100 Are you telling me – are you telling the audience you don't think it's a priority right now of leadership of either the Republican Party or the Democratic Party?
00:47:52.420 The number one priority is to get this house in order?
00:47:55.700 It's not a priority.
00:47:56.760 Now, if you hear their words, they say it is.
00:47:59.320 But, Steve, we've been out now for five weeks.
00:48:02.120 There's, I think, been two calls, caucus calls.
00:48:04.620 Has spending been any part of it?
00:48:07.340 No.
00:48:07.880 Was there any magic or any reason for us not to be back on Capitol Hill debating the 11 remaining appropriation bills?
00:48:17.620 No.
00:48:18.440 Any business in this country realizes when your house is on fire, you don't worry about the shrubbery outside.
00:48:24.860 You go put the fire out.
00:48:26.120 The fire that's burning in this country is our economic security, which is national security.
00:48:31.420 And why we're here remembering today the 9-11 tragedy.
00:48:39.260 And the funding has got to go in the right spots, not wokeism.
00:48:45.320 You don't send diplomats to fight wars.
00:48:47.920 And so that's what a group – there's a growing number of us who really are ready to do battle with real cuts.
00:48:56.280 I mean, we've had our letter out with the Freedom Caucus about to $1.47 trillion pre-COVID levels.
00:49:04.880 But the rescissions, which are just money that's already been allocated but left over through a number of agencies,
00:49:12.220 we don't want that to plus up the budget to make it appear.
00:49:17.220 So that's what we're battling, and I'm optimistic that we are, but it's just going to take work.
00:49:20.960 You don't want optics.
00:49:22.880 Can you hang on for one second or just take a short commercial break?
00:49:25.500 We're going to return with our commemoration of 9-11.
00:49:28.760 Congressman Ralph Norman joins us with the urgent business at hand.
00:49:32.760 We'll be back in a moment.
00:49:34.640 Michael J. Lyons.
00:49:38.060 Monica Ann Lyons.
00:49:40.820 There's a lot to be nervous about out there.
00:49:42.560 Open social media or turn on the news, and all you see is crime and societal decay.
00:49:47.920 A lot of people just run out and buy a gun, and then it sits in a safe.
00:49:52.920 If there's ever an emergency, they're not going to be prepared and run the risk of hurting themselves or others.
00:50:00.400 There's no way around it.
00:50:01.900 You need to train, and you need to train often.
00:50:05.800 Unfortunately, it's time-consuming to go to the range, assuming there's even one nearby, and ammo prices are through the roof.
00:50:12.080 iTarget was invented so you could practice any time in the safety and convenience of your own home.
00:50:18.720 Simply download the iTarget Pro app, load your caliber-specific laser bullet into your firearm, and start training.

00:51:27.600 James Martello.
00:51:29.880 Michael A. Marti.
00:51:31.300 On Carol Graham's coverage of 22 years ago of the attacks of 9-11.
00:51:38.980 Congressman, help me out here.
00:51:42.280 Is this fight, because the country's kind of in the balance right now on many different aspects.
00:51:47.480 And this is why I think it's so powerful on a day that everybody that is emblazoned everybody's mind, where they were 22 years ago when this great tragedy happened.
00:51:58.460 What action do you think the Republican Party, and particularly the MAGA wing of the Republican Party, is prepared to do over the next two or three weeks to make sure that we at least begin to start to set things right?
00:52:13.760 Well, I compare it to a stairway, Steve.
00:52:16.980 The longer stairway has got the first few steps.
00:52:19.160 What we're willing to take the first few steps on is to, one, put the number at the pre-COVID levels as far as the dollars amount.
00:52:27.320 But as a part of that, a group of us have been advocating for real border control.
00:52:33.820 Again, with what's happening now, it's encouraging another attack.
00:52:39.980 And, you know, this administration's been tone deaf and, unfortunately, just unwilling to do anything about it.
00:52:48.140 We've got over six to eight million people in this country.
00:52:51.840 And as you mentioned, 100,000 in New York.
00:52:54.400 It's kind of interesting.
00:52:55.740 You know, Congressman, we're going to have a clip at the 11 o'clock from Morning Joe where they're all freaked out now.
00:53:03.120 They're saying it's a crisis in New York.
00:53:05.140 Now, they want more money.
00:53:06.440 They want a $15 or $20 billion bailout, additional supplemental added to bailout New York City.
00:53:12.700 Do they see the security concern of this?
00:53:14.840 We have 110,000 illegal aliens that are with very few checks on them in New York City today.
00:53:22.500 Do the Democrats, the Biden administration, or even the Reiner Republicans understand the security risks we're taking?
00:53:28.760 Not only do they not understand, they don't care.
00:53:30.960 If they did, they would do something about it.
00:53:33.560 A good friend of mine's son was just shot by a Syrian dissident last week.
00:53:39.560 And so the security concerns are just not there.
00:53:42.740 Maintaining power is the only thing the Democrats want.
00:53:45.800 And why haven't they spoken up before now?
00:53:47.920 And the money?
00:53:49.140 Steve, where are we going to get the money?
00:53:51.800 They say government, federal government.
00:53:53.860 That's taxpayers' money.
00:53:54.920 So there's no money to be gotten.
00:53:57.480 But it will be interesting, the Republicans that go along, and I hope they don't.
00:54:01.740 But I hope that we will say no.
00:54:04.960 They've got to row their own boat when it comes to supporting those cities that are sanctuary cities voluntarily.
00:54:12.480 And to now claim that they've – it's a tragedy or it's an emergency, that's their – it's on their shoulders, not the American taxpayers.
00:54:23.880 Congressman, you've been the leader of getting our financial house in order.
00:54:28.140 The clock's ticking to midnight on the 30th of September, the end of the fiscal year.
00:54:32.740 You guys were able to get, I think, 70 votes, Republican votes, to go against the debt ceiling.
00:54:38.040 McCarthy had to reach out to Hakeem Jeffries from Brooklyn to get those votes.
00:54:43.380 I think he got 90 Democrats to vote with him.
00:54:46.580 Do you believe you'll get 70?
00:54:47.960 Do you have actually – do you have right now, you think, 70 that will sit there and say we cannot continue along this path,
00:54:53.640 that we have to have real cuts, not these optics and not these performative cuts that McCarthy's talking about now?
00:55:00.940 I hope we do.
00:55:01.760 I know we've got 20-plus, whether it goes up to 70.
00:55:04.700 It ought to be – if there's a number to get, Steve, it should be 218.
00:55:08.760 I'm not naive enough to think that that's going to happen.
00:55:11.060 But, you know, if not now, when?
00:55:13.460 Now's the perfect time to put our foot down and to say no to this continued spending.
00:55:19.140 And if we don't do it now, I don't know when it is.
00:55:21.280 Now, does it mean most likely a shutdown?
00:55:24.020 Yes.
00:55:24.720 Does it mean he may go – probably has no option if McCarthy wants to pass the CR?
00:55:32.000 He doesn't have to vote for the CR right now.
00:55:34.240 So we'll see what happens.
00:55:36.060 But it's time.
00:55:37.160 It's been time to deal with it and to take some hard positions, which the American people are waiting for.
00:55:44.420 They don't trust government anyway, as you mentioned in your opening statement.
00:55:47.400 Congressman, last question.
00:55:51.280 If McCarthy has to rely upon radical Democrats like Hakeem Jeffries to pass a CR and to kick the can down the road, which will lead to an omnibus and will lead to all the other madness with no end in sight, do you believe he'll remain a Speaker of the House?
00:56:06.060 If he goes to Democrats on this, Steve, if he's willing to do that and put this country at risk, all bets are off on his Speakership.
00:56:18.020 All bets are off on that.
00:56:19.860 So we'll see.
00:56:21.300 He did it on the debt ceiling.
00:56:23.340 But what's bothering me, we haven't even discussed it.
00:56:25.860 And we should have been discussing it over the last five weeks.
00:56:28.260 But all bets are off with that.
00:56:29.960 Last question.
00:56:33.460 Your constituents in South Carolina, where are they on this?
00:56:38.220 Oh, they're hurting so much at home.
00:56:42.300 The businesses are hurting.
00:56:44.900 The price tag that they're paying for everything.
00:56:48.260 And so they don't understand a shutdown.
00:56:53.360 We're going to spell it out to them what exactly that means on our media.
00:56:56.120 I think they're behind getting our financial house in order, as every state should be.
00:57:03.780 Congressman, how do people follow you?
00:57:05.440 You're going to be one of the key members in the next couple of weeks of fighting to get our financial house in order.
00:57:10.980 How do people follow you?
00:57:12.420 Sure.
00:57:12.800 Norman.house.gov or Rep. Ralph Norman.
00:57:18.920 Congressman, thank you for joining us this morning.
00:57:20.640 Appreciate it.
00:57:21.580 My pleasure.
00:57:22.120 Thank you, Steve.
00:57:22.580 Let's go back.
00:57:25.700 Let's go to the reading of the names.
00:57:27.120 That will take us out to the top of the hour.
00:57:28.880 We're going to return.
00:57:29.540 We're going to go back to David Zier, Fireman Corrigan, all of that.
00:57:32.920 Let's hear the reading of the names.
00:57:34.380 We'll be back after a short commercial break.
00:57:36.120 Michael Edward McHugh, Jr.
00:57:38.580 Robert G. McIlvain.
00:57:41.680 Donald James McIntyre.
