Bannon's War Room - Episode 3095： Taking On The Weaponization Of The Department Of Justice

00:00:00.000 About 15 seconds later, it was all over, and we did it.

00:00:04.020 But I'll never forget, I'll never forget that Bibi Netanyahu let us down.

00:00:11.100 That was a very terrible thing, I will say that.

00:00:13.680 And so when I see sometimes the intelligence, you talk about the intelligence,

00:00:18.920 or you talk about some of the things that went wrong over the last week,

00:00:22.860 they've got to straighten it out because they're fighting potentially a very big force.

00:00:26.940 They're fighting potentially Iran, and when they have people saying the wrong things,

00:00:34.020 everything they say is being digested by these people because they're vicious and they're smart.

00:00:38.960 And boy, are they vicious because nobody's ever seen the kind of sight that we've seen.

00:00:43.280 Nobody's ever seen it.

00:00:45.300 But they cannot play games, so we were disappointed by that.

00:00:48.280 Very disappointed, but we did the job ourselves, and it was absolute precision, magnificent, beautiful job.

00:00:53.880 And then Bibi tried to take credit for it. 1.00

00:00:58.900 That didn't make me feel too good, but that's all right.

00:01:03.040 So they've got to strengthen themselves up.

00:01:05.220 Talk about what went down today.

00:01:06.760 You've got a vote behind closed doors.

00:01:09.920 How does that vote work?

00:01:11.120 I think it's a secret ballot vote, right?

00:01:14.020 That's right, Chris.

00:01:14.880 It is a secret ballot vote.

00:01:16.340 And Steve Scalise, the House Majority Leader, the natural successor to Kevin McCarthy,

00:01:21.240 beat out Jim Jordan, the right-wing firebrand, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee,

00:01:25.840 who, at least in public endorsements heading into this contest, seemed to have an edge.

00:01:30.320 But Scalise, it turns out, had most of the silent members, the ones who don't go on TV as much, 0.86

00:01:35.520 who aren't as popular on conservative media.

00:01:37.580 They preferred Scalise.

00:01:38.720 Still, it was a narrow vote.

00:01:39.960 And now Scalise has got to figure out how to get to 217 votes.

00:01:43.320 He's got his own Rubik's Cube here.

00:01:45.400 McCarthy had trouble corralling the majority of the Republican conference,

00:01:49.160 or rather, almost every member, as he needed to do every day to keep the job.

00:01:53.020 Scalise has got a different and equally challenging equation on his hands right now.

00:01:58.220 What I would do is I would bomb Iran's oil infrastructure. 1.00

00:02:03.280 The money financing terrorism comes from Iran. 0.98

00:02:06.920 It's time for this terrorist state to pay a price for financing and supporting all this chaos.

00:02:12.380 Yes, if you're the Iranians, if it were up to me, this war escalates. 0.70

00:02:17.220 I'm coming after you.

00:02:18.340 I think this is what I'm trying to clarify here, because I'm wondering if what you're—

00:02:23.000 Us and Israel.

00:02:23.700 Us and Israel.

00:02:24.660 Us, the United States and Israel.

00:02:25.920 No, no, I want to be crystal clear.

00:02:27.520 The United—

00:02:28.140 Let me just understand you, just to be clear.

00:02:32.640 You're saying that you would want the United States and Israel to bomb Iran, even in the absence of direct evidence of their involvement in this attack.

00:02:42.220 Yeah, so if there's an escalation, Abby, if there's people's throats being cut on television as Israel goes into Gaza and they're threatening to kill the hostages,

00:02:57.180 if Hezbollah is unleashed on Israel in the north, it will be because Iran is supporting that. 0.95

00:03:04.100 If you don't get the connection between Iran and this terrorist activity by Hamas and Hezbollah, you're missing a lot.

00:03:11.600 This is a terrorist state that has American blood on its hands.

00:03:15.300 It is now time to dismantle the financing system of terrorism if this war escalates.

00:03:21.660 Yes, I would do a joint military operation.

00:03:24.720 I tell the Iranians today, if the war escalates, you will pay a price. 0.76

00:03:28.820 You will be out of the oil business.

00:03:30.180 I want to be crystal clear on that, and if we don't do that, what do you expect to happen in the future?

00:03:35.980 Do you expect Israel to forgive and forget? 0.83

00:03:38.960 Biden didn't mention one word about Iran today, and I want to support the president.

00:03:43.440 I'm supporting the Saudi-Israel peace deal.

00:03:46.680 Israel made peace with several Arab countries through their Abraham Accords.

00:03:51.000 I want to help the Palestinians we can do business with as part of a Saudi-Israel peace deal.

00:03:56.300 But I'm tired of letting Iran—I think they did this to stop the Saudi-Arab peace negotiations, the Iranians. 1.00

00:04:04.420 I don't want to reward them. I want to punish them.

00:04:06.840 What's tomorrow? 0.99

00:04:08.900 That's the hope.

00:04:10.800 Can anyone get 217?

00:04:13.340 That's the hope.

00:04:15.580 As I said, we're sending a loud and clear message.

00:04:18.060 The United States is ready to take action should any actor hostile to Israel consider trying to escalate or widen this war.

00:04:23.580 So for groups like Hezbollah, how much weight does that threat actually carry?

00:04:29.880 Is it likely to have any impact on the decision-making process?

00:04:32.620 And when Iran hears that, what do they hear?

00:04:35.740 The United States is good at many things, but it's not very good at either diplomacy or warfare in the global south.

00:04:44.480 So the U.S. acts tough to support Israel.

00:04:48.020 Israel has always done that, but I don't think these kind of statements influence very many people in the region.

00:04:55.600 If Iran or Hezbollah wanted to do something, an American threat probably would not stop them from doing it. 0.95

00:05:02.820 But I think the reality is that neither Iran nor Hezbollah want to start a bigger war.

00:05:08.240 The United States is hysterically obsessed with Iran for some reason, but the U.S. always has to have an evil bad guy menace in the region. 1.00

00:05:17.860 It used to be Iraq.

00:05:18.740 It used to be the Russians. 0.99

00:05:20.420 It used to be Al-Qaeda and all kinds of other groups.

00:05:25.240 And now it's Iran. 0.84

00:05:27.280 And it's ironic that the U.S. negotiated an agreement, a very good agreement with Iran on nuclear issues and sanctions.

00:05:36.780 But Iran is seen in the U.S. public sphere and the political elite and the media as a really terrible menace, almost as bad as China is in the U.S. eyes.

00:05:46.240 And therefore, they keep playing this, overplaying this sense of we're going to stop Iran from doing this and doing that.

00:05:54.520 And Iran shows no sign of wanting to be involved in the war.

00:05:57.740 So I don't take very seriously what the U.S. says about Middle East ideological and political and military movements.

00:06:05.780 So neither do most people in the region.

00:06:08.060 We've been going on for hundreds of years where a conference or a caucus selects its speaker by a majority vote inside the conference.

00:06:16.660 They go to the House floor and everybody votes for them.

00:06:19.260 That's how it's done.

00:06:20.180 So there will be an orderly process and actually work can get done.

00:06:24.040 The people's work can get done.

00:06:25.580 Legislation can get passed.

00:06:26.900 And our allies like Israel and Ukraine can be supported.

00:06:30.280 Not here.

00:06:31.300 I mean, how long, Jackie, are they willing to continue this madness, this chaos in the only branch of government Americans have entrusted them with?

00:06:41.100 There was, Joe, cautious optimism yesterday that lawmakers could potentially rally around at least one of these candidates, Steve Scalise or Jim Jordan, after their closed-door meeting where they took a secret ballot on either candidate.

00:06:57.400 And maybe get that done yesterday afternoon, take the vote to the House floor and move on and start focusing on the real-world issues that are blowing up around the House GOP conference as they've essentially been paralyzed without a leader.

00:07:12.940 That quickly proved to be a misguided assessment of the situation and that Steve Scalise, the front-runner and I think clearer front-runner, at least yesterday morning, ended up having far more opposition than I think people realized.

00:07:28.960 I think there was a little bit of confusion amongst the Capitol Hill press corps because there was this conference rules package that people were debating that was put forward by Chip Roy.

00:07:39.400 And there was more opposition to that, and I think that's what people were sort of distracted by.

00:07:45.780 And there was less realization that actually a lot of the opposition was also paired with Steve Scalise.

00:07:52.960 Scalise himself was also whipping against this rules package.

00:07:56.240 That didn't sit well with a lot of members.

00:07:57.960 And the more, I think it was sort of a tinderbox kind of situation where the more Republicans that came out of that closed-door meeting in the Longworth House building yesterday saying that they were not going to support Solis.

00:08:11.220 Some of them who actually continued to maintain that they were going to vote for former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and still had an axe to grind with those eight firebrand Republicans who ousted him last week.

00:08:26.020 Things quickly deteriorated, and now we're not even sure when a House vote's going to happen or whether Jim Jordan or Scalise is ultimately going to be the nominee.

00:08:35.000 This is an act of terror, it cannot stand.

00:08:40.080 We heard from the administration, there seems to have been a failure of intelligence as well.

00:08:45.760 We're not quite sure how we missed it, we're not quite sure how Israel missed it.

00:08:50.260 We know that Egypt had warned the Israelis three days prior that an event like this could happen.

00:08:57.560 We know that this had been planned perhaps as long as a year ago.

00:09:01.080 The other concern is escalation in the region.

00:09:06.120 We know that Hezbollah has 100,000 rockets that would overload the Iron Dome. 0.81

00:09:11.820 We know that in Syria we have ISIS.

00:09:15.180 We know that Lebanon with Hezbollah. 1.00

00:09:17.720 We know that Iraq has Shia proxies and Iran-backed proxies.

00:09:23.560 We know Iran itself has in large part funded this and provided the weapons for it. 0.55

00:09:30.440 We don't want to see escalation, we want to see this contained in Gaza. 0.97

00:09:34.680 However, we're very concerned about the fidelity of our intelligence and the escalation of a conflict in the Middle East that could turn into a global jihad movement in Israel.

00:09:45.520 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.

00:09:53.460 Pray for our enemies.

00:09:55.500 Because we're going medieval on these people.

00:09:58.660 I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.

00:10:02.940 The people have had a belly full of it.

00:10:04.860 I know you don't like hearing that.

00:10:06.280 I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.

00:10:08.960 It's going to happen.

00:10:10.000 And where do people like that go to share the big lie?

00:10:13.560 MAGA Media.

00:10:14.980 I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.

00:10:20.420 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?

00:10:24.180 If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.

00:10:30.460 War Room.

00:10:31.380 Here's your host, Stephen K. Band.

00:10:33.720 It's Thursday, 12 October in the year of our Lord, 2023.

00:10:38.960 You're in the War Room.

00:10:40.080 We have a lot of work to do today.

00:10:41.460 You've already been quite successful.

00:10:44.760 Moments ago, Jim Jordan came out, and I think he said he's endorsing Steve Scalise, just in case there was any non-clarity of that.

00:10:51.800 Of course, Scott Perry followed that, but said he would never vote for anybody that kept the status quo.

00:10:58.440 So, Steve Scalise's speakership run is in extremis right now.

00:11:06.020 The number is 202-225-3121.

00:11:10.480 This audience, if you're so inclined, call your congressman right now and give him a piece of your message.

00:11:16.240 Steve Scalise is just a watered-down version, not quite as slick a version of Kevin McCarthy, completely owned by the lobbyists.

00:11:25.620 It's just D.C. cartel with a less slick front porch.

00:11:32.700 It cannot happen to be a disaster of speakership.

00:11:36.040 Scalise, and anybody who thinks they're running for speaker, in fact, Jake Sherman, I think Jake Sherman's got a tweet out, or Manu over at CNN.

00:11:44.400 It's quite perceptive, and the tweet talks about the, if Scalise moves up, about the majority leader race, where you have Emmers and Hearn and maybe Stefanik.

00:11:56.440 You throw Jordan to that mix, that's really the speaker's race.

00:11:59.360 It's completely open today, because Scalise is not going to get there, and I think you're going to see more mounting opposition.

00:12:07.620 There's about 20 votes against right now.

00:12:10.820 202-225-3121.

00:12:12.960 You can't have anybody, we cannot have anybody that represents the D.C. insider cartel, and that's Steve Scalise.

00:12:20.260 He just keeps a lower profile.

00:12:23.260 And if you've noticed, if you look at the list, and Grace and Mo have it, it's up on my Getter account, and maybe Grace and Mo, you can push it out to Carly Bonet over at Telegram, and our Telegram channel, the folks over at Rumble, all of it.

00:12:36.080 You see, what may strike you as interesting, there's a lot of new names on there.

00:12:43.380 It's not the, certain of the hard eight didn't make the list.

00:12:48.140 That's fine.

00:12:49.360 You're in shifting coalitions all the time, as long as you're the rock that says America First MAGA.

00:12:57.120 We need to know where they stand on CRs, because we don't want any more.

00:13:00.640 They need to get to work.

00:13:01.600 We need to know where they are on appropriations.

00:13:04.160 Particularly, we need to know, you know, everybody's saying, oh, it has to happen.

00:13:07.320 You have to have urgent, you have to put a resolution about Israel.

00:13:09.960 No.

00:13:10.920 Israel knows we're with them, but there's more disturbing information.

00:13:15.280 President Trump actually went there last night, told the BB story that Jack Posobiec broke on this very show on Saturday morning, where the Netanyahu government backed out the last second one.

00:13:26.860 They took out Soleimani, and it was quite, it was a big deal.

00:13:30.600 But President Trump had the, once again, the leadership and the courage to go it alone, which he did, to take out Soleimani.

00:13:38.300 That's, that's the types of credit that President Trump never gets.

00:13:40.960 So, you know, is Israel with you until they're not? 0.64

00:13:45.060 I mean, this is a whole, we have to have this discussion, have to have an adults conversation, because the ground operation in Gaza is going to be quite, it's going to make Fallujah look like a day at Santa Monica Beach.

00:13:59.000 So, there has to be a real discussion about this.

00:14:02.760 And right now, you saw McCall, it was in the Daily Mail, it's in the New York Post, he said it yesterday.

00:14:07.320 He confirmed that, that the Israeli intelligence, the Israelis were informed by Egyptian intelligence three days beforehand that something was going to happen.

00:14:18.760 So, if that happens, how do you have basically Burning Man, I mean, how do you have it anyway, you have Burning Man all the way in a kibbutz that's like a mile from Gaza. 0.67

00:14:30.040 My note to everybody who's running around is so emotional.

00:14:32.300 If the, if Hamas terrorists are animals, and they are animals, on the morning of the 8th, they were animals on the 7th. 0.82

00:14:40.440 How does this entire thing happen? 0.92

00:14:41.760 And we need answers.

00:14:43.000 We need answers.

00:14:44.440 And you see what Lindsey Graham and the Fox News bomber command want to do. 0.95

00:14:49.520 They want to get in and start bombing Tehran right away. 0.99

00:14:52.660 Short commercial break.

00:14:53.620 Russ Vogt, Nancy Mace next in the war room.

00:14:59.980 Last month, the G20 announced a plan to impose digital currencies and digital IDs on their respective populations.

00:15:08.680 No, I'm not making that up.

00:15:10.240 That is a fact.

00:15:11.760 Central bank digital currencies essentially allow the government to track every purchase you make.

00:15:17.260 They could even allow officials to prohibit you from purchasing certain products or easily freeze or seize part or all of your money.

00:15:28.380 Let that sink in for a second.

00:15:30.980 In essence, they enable the government to take more control over your personal finances.

00:15:35.880 Concerned Americans are diversifying their assets into physical gold with the help of Birch Gold Group.

00:15:43.140 If you want a physical asset held in a tax-sheltered retirement account, you should call Birch Gold 2.

00:15:49.600 But learn for yourself.

00:15:51.840 Text Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N, to 989898, and they'll send you a free info kit on gold.

00:15:57.820 The easiest way to become a Birch Gold customer, if you have an IRA or 401K from a previous employer just gathering dust,

00:16:05.660 Birch Gold can help you convert it into IRA into gold.

00:16:10.740 And you don't pay a penny at a pocket.

00:16:13.840 Let me repeat that.

00:16:14.720 You don't pay a penny at a pocket.

00:16:17.240 Text Bannon to 989898.

00:16:19.320 Claim your free info kit on gold.

00:16:21.240 Then call Birch.

00:16:22.980 Because if digital currency becomes a reality, and trust me, they're on the path to make it so,

00:16:29.360 it'll be nice to have some gold to fall back on.

00:16:33.320 It's only work for 5,000 years of mankind's history.

00:16:37.500 Let Birch Gold work for you.

00:16:39.940 Bannon, 989898.

00:16:42.560 Text it right now.

00:16:44.500 Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.

00:16:49.280 Okay, Gates, the former CIA guy under Obama and Bush, is on Fox News.

00:16:54.960 We're going to get the clip saying, we have to immediately get a speaker.

00:16:58.620 You need to get order in Congress immediately so we can get Israel what it needs.

00:17:02.620 No, sir, you would be incorrect.

00:17:05.240 We need the appropriate non-D.C. cartel speaker to make sure that America gets what she needs. 1.00

00:17:12.980 The priority is the United States of America.

00:17:16.940 The priority are the citizens of the United States of America. 1.00

00:17:20.900 As soon as this freaking town and the TV for stupid people and CNN and MSNBC and all of them understand that. 0.99

00:17:29.060 As soon as they understand that, we can make progress. 1.00

00:17:32.740 But we're going to block, chop block, and get in people's grill until that happens. 1.00

00:17:38.720 Because they're never going to treat you with respect. 0.99

00:17:41.560 They're never going to take this country's interest first unless you metaphorically punch them in the mouth. 0.97

00:17:47.160 That's all they understand. 0.98

00:17:48.240 They don't understand they're going to abuse you.

00:17:50.920 They're going to take advantage of you.

00:17:52.180 They're going to use you until that moment comes.

00:17:56.460 That's why they hate Donald Trump.

00:17:58.400 A quite imperfect instrument that is an armor-piercing shell to the establishment.

00:18:04.860 Russ Vogt joins us.

00:18:05.700 By the way, the number is 202-225-3121.

00:18:08.720 When Newsmax just reported that Scalise internally, they're saying he can't get to 217, they're thinking about maybe dropping out.

00:18:18.240 Jim Jordan would jump in.

00:18:20.000 It's quite chaotic.

00:18:22.820 And that's a good thing.

00:18:23.980 In chaos, there's opportunity.

00:18:25.880 Russ Vogt joins us now.

00:18:27.000 Sir, you've been the architect of the anti-DC cartel cause of which we all are at the ramparts for.

00:18:35.240 Give us some guidance today, Coach.

00:18:37.440 Well, I think it's very clear Steve Scalise is not a paradigm-shifting speaker.

00:18:42.260 He's not an America-first speaker designee.

00:18:45.480 And it's clear he doesn't have the votes.

00:18:47.660 And I don't know if he's going to wake up today or tomorrow or the next day.

00:18:51.300 But I think what he was hoping for was that there would not be opposition on the floor, that he'd be able to just bum-drush this thing and get it to the floor.

00:18:59.060 And yesterday that became very clear.

00:19:00.820 Not only do the individuals, many of the individuals that were there in January and others that were there in the Gates initiative, but other coalitions, even moderates, are opposed to this.

00:19:12.640 And so this is a wide-open race.

00:19:16.160 And I think it's important to zoom out for a second.

00:19:19.020 For those who are saying that the Congress is in disarray and there's chaos, we have a funding deadline that's coming up in mid-November.

00:19:27.560 And it is vital to be able to get that right.

00:19:31.320 That affects every single agency that is a part of the federal government that gets its funding, including the Department of Defense, including all of the funding for state and foreign ops.

00:19:40.860 That has to be gotten right.

00:19:42.960 And we can't govern by the establishment using the events that are occurring around the world to cause us to make decisions faster than in our interests as Americans.

00:19:55.820 This is an important issue to be able to settle and to be settled right.

00:20:00.380 And thankfully, because enough members have said Steve Scalise is just more of the same.

00:20:06.760 Remember, Steve Scalise is the guy that threatened Andrew Clyde and said he wouldn't bring his legislation to protect gun-earning Americans to the floor.

00:20:17.380 Behind all of the decisions of Kevin McCarthy has been Steve Scalise.

00:20:21.600 Steve Scalise is the one that ruined the Republican Study Committee and turned it away from being the conservative conscience of the House.

00:20:28.440 That became the House Freedom Caucus.

00:20:30.640 And he was largely unsuccessful because they came and were stronger than the RFC ever was.

00:20:35.580 But in the last 10, 15 years, Steve Scalise has been behind the scenes pushing the cartel's interest.

00:20:41.900 And we cannot allow him to be Speaker of the House.

00:20:44.100 One more time, just hit rewind for a second about this day because people are losing sight of this.

00:20:51.080 Why is the mid-November date so important for us to get it right?

00:20:54.360 I'm hearing, you know, even Jordan, he's got a CR that goes into January but get 100% cut.

00:20:59.740 I mean, walk the audience through what is in the fog of war here.

00:21:04.440 What is so important we have to keep total clarity on?

00:21:07.340 Remember the leverage points.

00:21:10.220 The debt limit ceded much of our leverage points until the end of the Biden administration's first term and only term.

00:21:18.020 Now you have just funding.

00:21:20.300 All you have in terms of the must-pass bills are the funding.

00:21:23.400 And we thought at the end of the fiscal year there was going to be a big fight over efforts to defund the woke and weaponized bureaucracy,

00:21:30.980 get a handle on our issues as a country, and use that as a forcing function.

00:21:35.500 But what happened, Kevin McCarthy, once again, governed with House Democrats.

00:21:39.780 That's why we are in this speaker's fight, because he crossed over.

00:21:43.760 He was deposed as a result of that.

00:21:46.340 But what had been the thing that they passed was a continuing resolution into November.

00:21:51.520 So this speaker's debate is all about setting up the proper strategy and game plan that will come and allow us to use that as a leverage point down the road.

00:22:01.940 And of the members that you've talked to, potential candidates, Jim Jordan and others, it's important for them to bring their visions about how they're going to handle that.

00:22:10.540 But here's what I do know.

00:22:12.420 Steve Scalise has no interest whatsoever in using that as a leverage point.

00:22:16.520 He wants to keep the gravy train flowing.

00:22:18.460 And I think that's what is critical to get his candidacy off of the table.

00:22:22.820 And then we can have a conversation about how to use those leverage points against the Biden administration effectively.

00:22:29.500 When you say paradigm shifting, this has been one of your constructs from the beginning.

00:22:34.920 Walk our audience through what they should be looking for.

00:22:38.900 And when people lay out their vision, and you're right, McCarthy never did it, had the common courtesy to do it.

00:22:43.740 Scalise didn't do it.

00:22:44.940 I heard from the people that were in the room.

00:22:46.940 There was no vision.

00:22:47.840 There was no talk.

00:22:48.460 It was just more of the same.

00:22:49.300 It was just a junior varsity version of McCarthyism, of that brand of McCarthyism. 0.50

00:22:57.280 Walk me through what the audience should be looking for.

00:23:01.000 Help us out here.

00:23:02.040 When you say paradigm shifting, what do you want people to – what actions do you want them to say they're going to take?

00:23:09.280 Well, let's go back to remembering why we call it the cartel.

00:23:11.860 The cartel takes policy wins off the table that could be achieved.

00:23:17.300 Politics is the art of the possible, but they take them off the table.

00:23:21.060 Why?

00:23:21.760 Because they don't want the risk involved.

00:23:24.220 They want the status quo.

00:23:25.640 They want stability.

00:23:27.440 And so in this war room community, what we're constantly saying is we need those leverage points.

00:23:33.040 There's risk.

00:23:33.780 There's some risk involved, but we'll win that.

00:23:35.720 And we'll win as a result.

00:23:37.440 We'll be successful with why the country selected Republicans.

00:23:41.080 And so you've got to have a person in a leadership position that wants those confrontations, wants those leverage points, wants to manage that risk.

00:23:52.640 And that is what is critical to be able to get someone that wants to nationalize these debates and go hard at the Biden administration.

00:23:59.940 It's not just content to just keep everything being done the way it's always being done.

00:24:05.140 And that's the definition of a paradigm-shifting speaker.

00:24:11.560 You've set up and you've dedicated your life's work to this.

00:24:14.580 I mean you were OMB director in President Trump's first term.

00:24:18.500 You'll have a very senior role in the second term.

00:24:20.400 The group you've set up, Center for Renewing America, focuses on these policy issues all the time.

00:24:26.880 When we get this confusion that Gates is on Fox and you've got to get a speaker now because they've got to put out a resolution about Israel.

00:24:33.560 When you look at the world for our audience, to put the America first priorities now, what are you looking for in someone that is running for speaker?

00:24:46.360 What do they need to say or what do they need to lay out their vision that they will do that would convince you in the center that this person is really America first?

00:24:54.320 I think beginning to, you know, obviously a conversation about Ukraine would be a great tell as to where someone is going to be from an America first perspective, the ability to push back on the neoconservative establishment.

00:25:08.060 But I think from the standpoint of policies, it's often easy for people to cloak themselves as America first.

00:25:13.640 And what I found so inspiring about working for President Trump was his willingness to take on confrontation on behalf of the American people to crush the administrative state and pick fights with the powers that be here in Washington, D.C.

00:25:31.180 And I think that's what you've got.

00:25:32.960 You've got to get someone that wants conflict with the left, that wants to be able to use the leverage points.

00:25:39.640 And when you hear conversations about, OK, we're going to do continuing resolutions as far as the eye can see, that's not picking a fight with the way this town works.

00:25:48.280 That is, in fact, the way that this town works.

00:25:51.780 And there has to be a fearlessness and a lack of concern with regard to how you take on these political risks.

00:26:01.980 Yes, you've got to manage them properly.

00:26:03.680 But that's what you're a politician for, to manage them appropriately and win, win the debate with the American people.

00:26:09.420 You can do it.

00:26:10.160 You got elected to Congress.

00:26:11.840 That's what we're rooting for you.

00:26:13.120 If you didn't want the risk, you shouldn't have gone to Congress.

00:26:18.100 Last thing, on this mid-November date, what do you feel Congress has to be doing now on appropriations works and others to make sure we don't get jammed up again?

00:26:29.200 They're just going to say, well, you need another continuing resolution.

00:26:31.820 This has to go past the holidays.

00:26:33.460 What do you want to see out of the House right now?

00:26:35.260 Get a good speaker.

00:26:38.360 Then keep passing individual appropriations bills.

00:26:40.720 Send them to the Senate.

00:26:42.020 Make the Senate be the ones that are stopping them.

00:26:45.160 But always remember, this debate is fundamentally about where Joe Biden is vis-a-vis the House.

00:26:50.600 The Senate is largely irrelevant.

00:26:52.900 They will agree to whatever Joe Biden agrees to in the final determination.

00:26:57.260 But the House has to continue to pass these bills and have messaging opportunities on securing the border, dealing with the weaponization of the Department of Justice.

00:27:06.520 That would also be another example of how you get an America First speaker.

00:27:10.940 Are you willing to take on the weaponization of the Department of Justice?

00:27:13.940 Or are you viewing that as a law enforcement matter in which you are scared of even touching it?

00:27:19.200 That is a huge separator right now within House Republicans that we talk to.

00:27:26.040 Russ, where do people go for your social media, particularly Getter and Truth and Twitter?

00:27:34.880 You're very active.

00:27:35.700 It keeps up.

00:27:36.160 How do they get to the center?

00:27:37.340 At RussVote, we'll be putting up stuff throughout the day and AmericaRenewing.com.

00:27:42.860 And we appreciate all those who have made this happen by watching your show, Steve.

00:27:48.440 Well, you are the architect of this.

00:27:51.460 It's just been absolutely brilliant.

00:27:53.000 And more importantly, I already should know, RussVote is steady under fire.

00:27:57.780 He comes under fire a lot.

00:27:59.940 Got to have a steady hand.

00:28:01.440 He's been a great aide to President Trump.

00:28:04.040 And great things will happen in the second term with Vote there.

00:28:06.580 Russ, thank you so much for joining us, brother.

00:28:09.040 Thanks, Steve.

00:28:12.460 You are the foundational elements of stability.

00:28:18.380 Stability.

00:28:19.800 Because this is better thought through than all this stuff you see yammering around on TV.

00:28:24.420 Got to get that speaker right away.

00:28:25.700 We need a resolution.

00:28:26.640 No.

00:28:27.500 We need the salvation of this nation.

00:28:30.860 Short commercial break.

00:28:32.360 Back in the warm in a moment.

00:28:33.500 You should choose an air purifier like your life depends on it.

00:30:08.380 Take action.

00:30:09.240 Use your agency.

00:30:10.520 Do it today.

00:30:11.180 Get the benefits of the sale.

00:30:13.540 So in terms of the money, you write that that's why he likes Vladimir Putin so much.

00:30:20.880 What do you mean?

00:30:21.780 Yeah.

00:30:22.260 So he loves the fact that nothing happens in Moscow, nothing happens in Russia without the express authority and consent of Vladimir Putin.

00:30:33.480 And he wants that for himself in this country.

00:30:36.400 He doesn't want to be president of the United States.

00:30:39.680 He wants to be our dictator, our fuhrer, our supreme leader, our monarch.

00:30:45.200 He wants to be the king.

00:30:47.360 And he won't stop until he actually accomplishes that.

00:30:52.780 And the thing that I warn everybody about, anybody who wants to listen, and it sounds hyperbolic, but it's not.

00:31:02.560 Donald himself turned around and said the first thing that he's going to do if he becomes president again is what?

00:31:09.520 He wants to rewrite the Constitution. 1.00

00:31:12.260 You imagine this idiot rewriting the Constitution in crayons on the back of stolen, top-secret documents? 1.00

00:31:18.780 And what is the purpose of him rewriting the Constitution? 1.00

00:31:23.380 It's in order to separate and to get rid of the tripartite system of our government.

00:31:29.100 He wants to remove the legislative branch's power, he wants to remove the judiciary's branch of power, and he wants to confer all power onto the executive branch, which is what?

00:31:42.900 Him.

00:31:43.800 And so by doing that, he becomes the king.

00:31:47.180 And there is no one who would be able to stop him at that point in time, because he'll believe that executive privilege, executive orders, will give him the opportunity to do whatever he wants.

00:31:57.640 He can go after members of Congress.

00:32:00.080 He'll go after members of the Supreme Court.

00:32:03.220 The reason we play this, normally we don't play Prattle, but here's the reason.

00:32:06.900 There are three simultaneous conferences going on to stop Donald J. Trump.

00:32:14.080 There you have, in New York City, a gathering of elites and celebrities and huge big-leg money for a Never Trump, you know, it's called, I think, the Never Trump or Stop Trump conference.

00:32:27.640 Now, these are mainly progressives and liberals.

00:32:31.200 Robert De Niro, who wasn't, I don't think, there, but made a statement that said that Trump not only has to be stopped, that he's evil, pure evil.

00:32:39.980 So, in addition, out in Park City, Utah, you have Mitt Romney, Mittens, whose biography is going to come out in a couple of weeks, and I think it's going to go after President Trump pretty hard.

00:32:54.580 McKay Coppins, another piece of work, the writer.

00:32:58.420 This is the official biography of Mittens.

00:33:00.980 This is why Mittens is stepping down, because I think he says a lot of mean stuff.

00:33:04.720 You know, Mittens have got to get really worked up, you know, to say mean things.

00:33:10.860 And Paul Ryan.

00:33:12.220 And I've got a Paul Ryan clip I'll play here in a second.

00:33:15.920 Paul Ryan are out in Park City.

00:33:17.240 That is, they said, it's in their DNA of this group in Park City, which are major big-time donors, big money.

00:33:25.720 It says it's not in their DNA to ever accept Trump.

00:33:30.440 What they mean by that is never to accept you.

00:33:32.760 What they want is you to be just the cattle herd, just to be the herd, to go about your life, to pay your taxes, you know, put your money away for retirement.

00:33:52.920 You know, you got pension, or 401k, maybe, IRA, maybe, pension, maybe.

00:33:58.280 They got them in, by the way, they got them in Europe.

00:34:03.040 Europe, you know, you got pension funds, and you got full medical care by the government.

00:34:09.160 You got it all.

00:34:11.480 How do they have that?

00:34:13.120 Because you're underwriting their defense.

00:34:15.900 Just remember that.

00:34:17.640 How's that health care working out for you?

00:34:19.380 How's that pension?

00:34:21.300 How's that big, fat pension of yours?

00:34:23.180 Is that working out well?

00:34:23.880 Remember, the Kochs and all these guys, the thing that drives them nuts at night is you get a $1,000 check or whatever from Social Security.

00:34:32.660 Drives them nuts.

00:34:34.480 They earn Medicare.

00:34:35.420 They're trying to, they're working all night.

00:34:37.960 Like, there's nowhere else you can cut.

00:34:39.900 They're working all night.

00:34:41.060 They're just, they're maniacally focused.

00:34:42.740 They got to get that money.

00:34:43.740 It drives them crazy.

00:34:45.420 They hate it.

00:34:46.060 After you had back-breaking toil for your entire life.

00:34:51.500 Oh, yeah, and raised your kids up to go serve their country in foreign battlefields and did everything you were supposed to do as a good householder.

00:34:58.540 It's always you.

00:34:59.600 The burden's always on you, but it's also always your fault.

00:35:01.960 You notice that?

00:35:03.740 The burden's always on you, but it's always your fault.

00:35:06.240 But we'll get into more of that.

00:35:09.940 Some of the money managers taking umbrage with some of the student organizations at Harvard.

00:35:15.120 Quite, quite upset.

00:35:15.840 They're not saying really anything about the Harvard establishment.

00:35:18.900 And this is only going to get worse.

00:35:20.040 Tomorrow's a global day of jihad.

00:35:23.220 So I'm telling you, when you go in, when they go into, into Gaza block by block, street by street, just be ready. 0.99

00:35:33.140 Just be ready because it's going to get ugly.

00:35:34.820 It's going to get nasty.

00:35:35.600 You're going to see the mask are all coming off.

00:35:38.200 The mask are all coming off.

00:35:40.680 You don't even have to take their mask off.

00:35:42.580 They're all coming off.

00:35:44.300 You see, who has America's back?

00:35:47.360 And who is putting America first?

00:35:50.320 And who is putting American citizens first? 0.96

00:35:52.800 And it's not that they're doing it selfishly.

00:35:56.400 It's not you're doing selfishly.

00:35:59.260 If America's crippled, if America's in extremis, if America's broken,

00:36:04.820 if America has been invaded, the whole rest of it comes unglued, then Israel doesn't have a chance. 0.93

00:36:13.440 Then Europe doesn't have a chance.

00:36:15.740 Then Taiwan doesn't have a chance or the Korean Peninsula, Japan. 0.97

00:36:19.940 The freedom-loving people on the rim of the Eurasian landmass in Asia, the littoral nations of the South China Sea.

00:36:30.200 All of it, not a chance.

00:36:31.400 If America's in Latin America, freedom-loving people throughout the world, if America crumbles, if America implodes, if America collapses,

00:36:43.280 or if America is just so, with both debt and the invasion, if it's so preoccupied on having to get its own house in order, then it collapses.

00:36:53.840 America first is not isolationist.

00:36:57.180 It's the opposite of isolationist.

00:37:00.920 But it's not adventurism.

00:37:02.820 We've had too much adventure.

00:37:04.260 We've had too much empire building.

00:37:06.140 We're not an empire.

00:37:07.700 We were never supposed to be an empire.

00:37:09.880 Our founders and founding us as republic warned us, warned us about going overseas looking for monsters to slay.

00:37:18.800 Even going after the Barbary pirates, and you notice the Barbary pirates, the first kind of foreign international geopolitical issue we had to deal with,

00:37:30.360 and that was quite an issue.

00:37:31.560 It had locked up the British Empire, locked up the Spanish. 0.99

00:37:33.940 They had full operational control of the Mediterranean.

00:37:37.560 This just wasn't a bunch of guys from a Robert Louis Stevenson novel.

00:37:42.000 These were hardcore.

00:37:42.920 In the same bad neighborhood that is still a bad neighborhood today, maybe even worse because they got biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons that could, you know, go off and spread everywhere.

00:37:58.860 America first means that we're going to think through, we're going to think through what the United States is going to do throughout the world.

00:38:08.540 That's in betterment of the cause of this republic.

00:38:11.080 You notice everything in the speakers race?

00:38:14.640 Have you ever, have you heard any of them?

00:38:17.280 Talk about the DOJ, the administrative state, the border, the debt.

00:38:21.380 We got to stop.

00:38:21.840 No, they're already crated on things.

00:38:23.440 Oh, I got a CR.

00:38:24.320 It's going to go into the new year and it's going to have 1% debt.

00:38:26.900 You know, Jordan's wandering all over the place.

00:38:29.600 He's wandering all over the place.

00:38:31.920 You got Scalise is just another guy from the, from the swamp.

00:38:34.460 He's just a junior version.

00:38:35.580 He's a less, he's a less, he's a less, he's a less socially acceptable version to the, to the, to the, to the Silicon Valley crowd.

00:38:46.000 And then McCarthy and yesterday, particularly some of the influencers and look, I love the influencers.

00:38:51.760 Great.

00:38:52.380 They're, they're kind of like the special forces.

00:38:54.260 They're the special operators.

00:38:55.380 They're, they're parachuting behind enemy lines.

00:38:57.600 So don't, but every now and again, they, they start, they start running around like this whole thing.

00:39:03.620 Yesterday, it's like, Hey, just take a deep breath.

00:39:05.840 This is serious work.

00:39:07.060 Remember the war room where we're in trench after trench, after trench, after trench.

00:39:12.320 This, this audience is on the ramparts and down in the grit because you've got to dig, you've got to take a trenching tool and dig these people out of here.

00:39:20.960 You have to turf them out.

00:39:23.920 The Scalise, oh, it's the end of the world.

00:39:25.480 Is Scalise any different than McCarthy?

00:39:27.080 Hey, take a deep breath.

00:39:29.300 You know, we got this.

00:39:31.140 McCarthy said yesterday, McCarthy kind of putting the knife in the Scalise this morning and said, Hey, quite frankly, you're supposed to have 150 votes.

00:39:36.800 Yesterday and show some momentum.

00:39:38.120 He didn't.

00:39:38.480 He had 110.

00:39:39.480 They counted three folks from the territories.

00:39:42.300 They can't vote on the floor.

00:39:44.400 They can vote in conference.

00:39:45.780 I guess it was fair to count them, but that's not quite a, that's not quite a real count.

00:39:49.200 It was 110.

00:39:50.020 He was far short.

00:39:52.420 202-225-3121.

00:39:54.520 Man the ramparts.

00:39:56.720 Because after today, it's a free ball and you want, you want a free ball because you want somebody to step up and say, okay, here's what I see.

00:40:02.360 My vision is speaker.

00:40:03.360 I see that I'm the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and second in line to the presidency.

00:40:10.040 And I got a feeble guy wandering around and, of course, Kamala. 0.98

00:40:13.800 And so this is a quite important job.

00:40:15.880 But my vision for the country is to wait for it.

00:40:20.400 Wait for it.

00:40:22.820 Wait for it.

00:40:25.340 America first.

00:40:26.200 If I hear one more person say, oh, you can tell a phony and you can tell somebody that does not have this country's interest in mind.

00:40:35.200 They say, we have to have a speaker this afternoon.

00:40:36.640 It's urgent.

00:40:37.120 We have to have a speaker urgently this afternoon because we had to put out a resolution about Hamas.

00:40:42.800 That person right there, it's just credibility.

00:40:46.720 Zero.

00:40:47.480 Take the pen.

00:40:48.080 Just put zero next to their name.

00:40:49.240 It's Paul G.

00:40:50.500 Joad and the warmonger neocon, neoliberal crowd neocon who have never gotten anything right.

00:40:55.800 Remember, this is the house organ of 20 years of relentless warfare in the first regional war.

00:41:05.280 They even call it a second regional war calls for urgent.

00:41:09.820 Urgent.

00:41:10.300 They want to just skip around.

00:41:13.140 Of course, they're not going to do any sacrificing.

00:41:15.860 What did Bill Kristol tell you?

00:41:17.040 Bill Kristol, they're going to be throwing roses in Baghdad.

00:41:21.680 They're going to be throwing roses, putting flowers in the hair of the guys.

00:41:25.860 It's going to look like Paris in 1944.

00:41:29.680 It looked like Paris.

00:41:31.080 It looked like the low countries.

00:41:34.080 When the Nazis were driven out, everybody couldn't even get the tanks through.

00:41:38.140 There were hours and hours of celebration.

00:41:40.540 They actually sold that.

00:41:43.280 They actually sold that.

00:41:46.160 No, the speaker, 202-225-3121, you're the deciding factor.

00:41:53.460 You.

00:41:54.800 There's a shifting coalition.

00:41:56.100 Look at the names.

00:41:56.720 Grace and Moe got the names.

00:41:57.860 Half the names you won't even recognize.

00:41:59.660 It's a shifting coalition.

00:42:01.420 It's not done yet.

00:42:02.660 Hey, Scalise and these guys are going to, I think, hunker down and say, look, we've got to figure out.

00:42:06.900 We've got to cut deals, and we've got to power through this.

00:42:10.060 We have to cut deals, and we have to power through this.

00:42:12.280 And so there's going to be a lot of deal-making.

00:42:15.180 There's going to be a lot of backscratching.

00:42:18.020 So, you know, this thing is still a long way from done.

00:42:23.480 Like I said, never rest on your pitchfork until the vote's actually counted.

00:42:29.260 But I noticed they're not hurrying.

00:42:31.640 They're already pushing back the conference.

00:42:33.960 They're going to go behind closed doors again because you had a huge win yesterday.

00:42:38.080 They wanted to do this whole thing behind closed doors, and finally the vote thing got blown up.

00:42:41.560 So now the vote's got to be, I think, on the floor.

00:42:44.340 But look, long story short, they don't want anybody looking in on this thing, right?

00:42:49.240 Radical transparency is not working for them.

00:42:51.440 They want to cut deals and have anonymous votes.

00:42:54.660 One of the reasons I wanted it on the record, I want to see who was with Trump and who wasn't.

00:42:58.660 He in the doors of Jordan, as people, our audience here, the Warren Posse knows,

00:43:04.740 I was not wildly enthusiastic about that.

00:43:06.940 Let's say I tempered my enthusiasm.

00:43:09.500 And here's the reason.

00:43:11.180 Jim Jordan, on the key issues, is just all over the map.

00:43:15.400 Jim Jordan's a good man.

00:43:16.460 Jim Jordan, at one time, founded the House Freedom Caucus years ago when we worked together all the time.

00:43:23.760 He was a fire breather, a firebrand.

00:43:26.640 But when you come out and the first thing you say, hey, you know, we need a CR, we got a key. 1.00

00:43:30.220 You're on Hannity, give me gobbledygook, give me Fox News, TV for stupid people, talking points. 0.99

00:43:35.920 Hey, I'm not sure you're the guy. 0.98

00:43:38.640 So maybe, and Jordan may have a shot at this, and maybe he comes back and can impress the Warren Posse with being anti-cartel.

00:43:46.620 But we're beyond the point of the happy talk.

00:43:51.700 Now we're down to it.

00:43:53.400 And, of course, you're being blamed because you're the agents of chaos.

00:43:57.120 What you're actually doing is saying, no, we're not just going to jump into this.

00:44:01.680 We want to see exactly what your plan is for sorting out what's wrong in this nation.

00:44:08.080 Short commercial break.

00:44:09.120 Then we got Mike Davis up next.

00:44:10.640 And when I say only, trust me, they're the only one.

00:44:40.860 Glenn Story and the team have been great supporters of this show, which is why I'm proud to partner with them.

00:46:24.920 That's why you've changed history.

00:46:26.180 You're changing history even as we speak.

00:46:28.320 202-225-3121.

00:46:30.980 That would be the switchboard of the House of Representatives.

00:46:34.040 And make sure you call and get in.

00:46:35.460 By the way, call your local person, particularly if you're in my beloved south or up in my beloved

00:46:42.360 inner, what is it, the Intermountain West, you know, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, maybe up even on North Dakota, South Dakota.

00:46:55.660 Those places you are in pretty red districts and you got pretty moderate folks representing you.

00:47:03.300 Yep.

00:47:05.180 I think that's an issue.

00:47:07.440 And I think you ought to have – call them – you're their partners.

00:47:10.120 You give them money.

00:47:10.780 You knock on doors for them.

00:47:12.400 Call them up and say, hey, how about a partner's discussion? 1.00

00:47:15.120 You suck. 1.00

00:47:16.440 Okay? 1.00

00:47:17.700 I've seen you in action now.

00:47:19.600 They can't hide from the votes anymore.

00:47:21.900 They can't hide the votes.

00:47:22.980 We're not going to let them and you're not going to let them.

00:47:25.100 So make sure you light them up today.

00:47:26.520 Give them the old what for.

00:47:28.740 On Brother Steve Scalise, another – just another example of the D.C. cartel in all its glory.

00:47:36.360 Mike Davis, you called this – you wrote a quite prescient piece for a red-haired Irishman back in – you wrote it in August.

00:47:45.180 Fox Digital, which is still, I think, very strong.

00:47:49.300 I actually like that site a lot because they got really good stuff on it.

00:47:53.600 They put it up on September 8th.

00:47:55.560 That was before the guys even returned from their, like, four-months of vacation.

00:47:59.560 What did you say in that piece?

00:48:00.860 And why is it – why in almost the middle of October is it still the thing that we're looking for?

00:48:08.460 Yeah, I mean, what I said is that if Speaker McCarthy wanted to be successful as Speaker and keep his speakership,

00:48:17.780 he needed to cut spending in the appropriations process to pre-COVID levels,

00:48:25.400 and then he also needed to implement policy writers, appropriations writers, in the process to end the federal funding of weaponized justice against political opponents,

00:48:39.820 open borders, racial division, gender chaos, and the Democrats' other Marxist policies.

00:48:46.580 And, unfortunately, for Speaker McCarthy, he didn't do that.

00:48:50.760 He thought he was just going to do a clean CR and maybe have the Democrats bail him out.

00:48:58.620 Nancy Pelosi and Hakeem Jeffries bail him out, and that didn't work out for him, and he lost the speakership.

00:49:03.600 I think what this next speaker needs to do, whoever it is, is they have a short window here.

00:49:10.580 It's going to be about a 30-day window here to get serious about reining in our spending.

00:49:16.440 The House of Representatives has the power of the purse, right?

00:49:20.260 And the House of Representatives needs to put the federal government on a crash diet,

00:49:26.320 and they need to end these woke, weaponized policies that Obama and Biden have implemented to go after their political enemies, right?

00:49:35.500 For example, there needs to be a writer that the Article III project championed,

00:49:40.500 along with Congressman Andrew Clyde in Georgia, that it says two things.

00:49:45.480 No federal funds may be used to prosecute any major presidential candidate on or before November 5th, 2024,

00:49:55.760 and any state or local government that prosecutes criminally or civilly any major presidential candidate on or before November 5th, 2024,

00:50:05.360 loses all federal funding.

00:50:06.820 We need to let the American people, not these Democrat prosecutors and these Democrat hellholes like New York, D.C., and Atlanta,

00:50:16.140 decide this next presidential election.

00:50:18.840 We're not going to allow this unprecedented lawfare and election interference by these Democrat prosecutors,

00:50:25.540 and the House Republicans need to get tough about this because we're not going to have a country left

00:50:31.160 if these Democrats succeed with their election interference and their lawfare.

00:50:35.740 I think that that was proven by Caesar and Rome when Caesar crossed the Rubicon into Gaul,

00:50:43.740 because he thought he was forced there by the Roman insiders, and that was his last resort,

00:50:50.240 and it led to the fall of the Roman Republic.

00:50:52.680 And I think this lawfare against Trump of the House Republicans don't end it immediately.

00:50:57.620 It's going to lead to a tit-for-tat going into the future that's going to end our country.

00:51:02.760 So it needs to end immediately.

00:51:05.080 We also need to end this gender chaos. 1.00

00:51:09.060 We need to end federal funding for gender-affirming care surgeries and pills for kids and prisoners.

00:51:16.580 We just need to take back control of our federal government.

00:51:20.380 And if Senate Democrats and President Biden don't want to go along with these policies

00:51:26.560 that have about 60 percent or more of American support, let them shut down the government.

00:51:31.860 Who gives a damn if we shut down the government? 0.68

00:51:33.760 People are still going to get their Social Security checks and other entitlements.

00:51:38.200 Who gives a damn if the federal government gets shut down for two or three weeks

00:51:41.980 before Biden and Senate Democrats come to their senses?

00:51:45.020 If Kevin McCarthy had put forward, Mike, if he'd just taken the article on Fox

00:51:52.380 and copied it and sent it around, Kevin McCarthy would be speaker today.

00:51:57.920 This is how big a grip, Mike, I want to ask you.

00:52:00.520 I know you've got to bounce, but I want to hold you through the break.

00:52:04.840 Why won't it?

00:52:05.540 We've got about a minute here, Mike, and then I'm going to hold you through.

00:52:07.920 It's a quick 90-second break.

00:52:10.440 Your plan would have saved his speakership.

00:52:12.980 What is the grip that the D.C. cartel has on people like McCarthy and like Scalise

00:52:19.680 that for their own self-survival, they can't even – it's like they're inexorably pulled to the other side.

00:52:27.600 You gave him a map that says this will not just save your speakership.

00:52:32.060 This will make you a historic figure.

00:52:33.840 It's right here.

00:52:34.600 Just do it.

00:52:35.700 What is it that keeps him from doing it?

00:52:39.020 There are so many forces in Washington that on both sides of the aisle that fight every day

00:52:46.060 to increase Washington spending and Washington control over our lives.

00:52:51.500 And when you are too beholden to those special interests, when you're too beholden to those lobbyists,

00:52:57.840 and when you miscalculate, when you think that you can just ignore the American people

00:53:04.180 and go along with the Washington insiders, and then Nancy Pelosi and Hakeem Jeffries are going to bail you out,

00:53:11.140 when you miscalculate like that, then you lose your speakership.

00:53:14.360 So I think he learned a lesson a very – the very hard way for him.

00:53:20.500 And I think the next speaker needs to understand that today's House Republicans are serious about cutting government spending.

00:53:26.680 Hang on one second, Mike, because there's another part – you use a phrase called pre-COVID

00:53:34.060 that is not emblazoned upon people's minds right now.

00:53:38.080 Mike Davis is going to stick with us a little bit after the break.

00:53:41.060 Second hour will be hotter than the first.

00:53:43.640 I commit to you.
