00:00:00.880 We're facing an inflection point in history.
00:00:03.600 One of those moments where the decisions we make today are going to determine the future
00:00:07.880 for decades to come.
00:00:13.240 Look, at the same time, President Netanyahu
00:00:30.000 and I discussed again yesterday the critical need for Israel to operate by the laws of war.
00:00:36.680 That means protecting civilians in combat as best as they can.
00:00:40.220 The people of Gaza urgently need food, water, and medicine.
00:00:45.360 Yesterday, in discussions with the leaders of Israel and Egypt, I secured an agreement
00:00:51.140 for the first shipment of humanitarian assistance from the United Nations to Palestinian civilians
00:00:55.900 in Gaza.
00:00:57.900 If the MAS does not divert or steal this shipment, these shipments, we're going to provide
00:01:02.340 an opening for sustained delivery of life-saving humanitarian assistance for the Palestinians.
00:01:08.280 As I said in Israel, as hard as it is, we cannot give up on peace.
00:01:13.720 We cannot give up on a two-state solution.
00:01:17.420 Let me close with this.
00:01:19.680 Earlier this year, I boarded Air Force One for a secret flight to Poland.
00:01:25.180 There I boarded a train with blacked-out windows for a 10-hour ride each way to Kyiv to stand
00:01:31.560 with the people of Ukraine ahead of the one-year anniversary of their brave fight against Putin.
00:01:35.860 And I'm told I was the first American to enter a war zone not controlled by the United States
00:01:41.300 military since President Lincoln.
00:01:44.360 With me was just a small group of security personnel and a few advisors.
00:01:49.240 But when I exited that train and meant to Zelensky, President Zelensky, I didn't feel alone.
00:01:55.680 I was bringing with me the idea of America, the promise of America, to the people who are today
00:02:02.200 fighting for the same things we fought for 250 years ago, freedom, independence, self-determination.
00:02:09.860 It's one of the best, if not the best, speeches of his presidency.
00:02:13.060 He was firm.
00:02:14.120 He was unequivocal.
00:02:15.500 He was strong, as he has been, particularly in recent days before he went to Israel and while he was over there.
00:02:21.780 I was struck by the fact that he spent as much time as he did on Ukraine.
00:02:25.940 And I think it was a good thing that he did because the aid for Ukraine package that he's talking about
00:02:31.320 and further aid to Ukraine beyond that is in jeopardy.
00:02:34.940 And I think that he was hampered a little bit in that effort by the fact that he dare not really mention the best reason.
00:02:40.820 I mean, he mentioned, broadly speaking, the best reason for sticking with it in Ukraine,
00:02:45.880 which is that what would the rest of the world and its evildoers think if we pulled out of there?
00:02:50.860 Because that comes on the heels of his having pulled out of Afghanistan,
00:02:54.340 which arguably emboldened all of our adversaries.
00:02:59.660 I'll take a couple more, a couple more.
00:03:01.340 Mr. Chairman, thank you.
00:03:02.960 On how much you intend, Brock has said that one of the stouts are the 2020 election and your view on that.
00:03:09.600 So I want to ask you two related questions.
00:03:11.660 One, what was your intent when you emailed a memo to the chief of staff, Mark Meadows,
00:03:17.080 suggesting that Vice President Pence should, that he should forego any unconstitutional votes?
00:03:23.500 And do you believe the 2020 election was stolen?
00:03:26.300 I think there were all kinds of problems with the 2020 election.
00:03:28.280 I've been clear about that.
00:03:29.340 My intention in forwarding the email was an argument made by former inspector general for Donald Rumsfeld,
00:03:35.880 accomplished lawyer who laid out an argument from the Federalist Papers.
00:03:38.580 I forwarded it on to them.
00:03:39.480 That was all it was.
00:03:40.380 Newt, I wrote your name in on the last ballot as Speaker of the House because I thought you did such a good job 25 years ago.
00:03:48.560 Was I wrong?
00:03:49.160 I brought you in.
00:03:49.900 I said, I'm for Gingrich.
00:03:51.480 You balanced the budget.
00:03:53.240 You cut taxes.
00:03:54.460 You've reformed welfare.
00:03:56.060 It was a hell of a performance.
00:03:57.600 I'm looking for that kind of speaker right now, Mr. Gingrich.
00:04:02.160 Well, listen, I think the whole conference is.
00:04:04.400 But they're going to have to get in a room.
00:04:05.800 I saw just a few minutes ago, Jim Jordan has decided to go back and try again because it turned out what I thought was a good idea to have McHenry, the current speaker pro tem, stay on until January 3rd.
00:04:18.860 I mean, these folks have got to calm down.
00:04:20.840 The level of anger, the level of hostility in the conference, all of it started by eight traitors.
00:04:26.860 That's what they were, traitors, who abandoned their party and allied with the Democrats against 96 percent of the Republican Party with no idea what they would do if they won.
00:04:39.720 They have caused chaos. 0.74
00:04:41.420 They've embarrassed the Republican Party.
00:04:43.320 And they've weakened the United States at a time when there are two major wars underway.
00:04:48.100 And it's really, truly, I think, the most disgraceful behavior by Republicans in my lifetime.
00:04:53.960 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:05:01.780 Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on these people.
00:05:07.000 I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.
00:05:11.260 The people have had a belly full of it.
00:05:13.220 I know you don't like hearing that.
00:05:14.660 I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
00:05:17.300 It's going to happen.
00:05:18.560 And where do people like that go to share the big line?
00:05:21.980 Mega Media.
00:05:22.860 I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:05:28.740 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:05:32.500 If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:05:38.860 War Room.
00:05:39.720 Here's your host, Stephen K.
00:05:41.780 Bannon.
00:05:42.120 It's Friday, 20 October, in the year of our Lord, 2023.
00:05:49.200 We're going to be going live to the House momentarily.
00:05:54.620 They're getting organized.
00:05:56.260 They're the first of multiple votes today.
00:05:59.020 We've got so much to go through, and we're going to be showing the House vote live.
00:06:06.340 I'm going to be here.
00:06:07.040 Caroline Wren is also going to join me.
00:06:08.860 We're at the CPAC Strategy Conference today and tomorrow.
00:06:13.660 Also going to be bringing in Cash Patel.
00:06:15.440 But I want to have people, obviously, look at this historic vote Jim Jordan gave a press conference early this morning.
00:06:22.620 Kind of went over.
00:06:23.420 He was trying to go over the heads of the 20 and talk directly to their constituents.
00:06:30.040 Just put everything in perspective.
00:06:31.620 Make sure that in the fog of war you fully understand where we are.
00:06:35.380 You and your pressure campaign is working because the mainstream media and Newt Gingrich and all the people on the payroll of the lobbyists and the corporatists,
00:06:45.740 because they're sitting there telling you that it's not working, then it's working.
00:06:50.760 And I hope, in fact, I'll break them out if I can get my great production team to get the Brett Hume and the Newt Gingrich.
00:06:59.040 I want to play them separately.
00:07:00.060 I hope when you heard that, Brett Hume's description of one of the most disgraceful speeches ever from the Oval Office.
00:07:09.600 In fact, I think it's the most disgraceful speech ever from the Oval Office, set with lies, misrepresentations, and never really getting the heart of it.
00:07:20.240 And then he goes back.
00:07:21.780 And can you believe somebody said evildoers?
00:07:23.900 The evildoers. 0.95
00:07:25.620 The evildoers. 0.99
00:07:26.060 Evildoers. 1.00
00:07:28.460 Dude, 20 years of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan, and you're going to bring up evildoers?
00:07:36.920 This is how Murdoch News is rubbing your nose in it.
00:07:40.320 This morning, it's all the war party.
00:07:44.600 It's not that we can't be a partner and an ally with Israel, okay?
00:07:50.000 But I disagree with Jim Jordan.
00:07:51.500 We don't need a speaker to pass a resolution on Israel.
00:07:53.860 We need a speaker of the House when it's the time to get the right speaker of the House.
00:08:01.840 Newt Gingrich, I told you, everybody, all the masks are going to come off.
00:08:06.240 But I need this burned into your soul deeply.
00:08:10.760 Because for years and years and years, their only power came from you.
00:08:15.700 Now they're upset.
00:08:17.960 Murdoch News, all the talking heads, the Brett Humes of the world, the old man Murdoch,
00:08:22.680 and those parts of the day when he's in and out, Newt Gingrich, all of it.
00:08:28.640 All of it.
00:08:29.360 Hate the fact that you now have the power.
00:08:32.940 Jim Jordan's back up to the McHenry.
00:08:35.900 He supported the McHenry.
00:08:37.300 The McHenry proposal, which this audience defeated.
00:08:41.780 You defeated it.
00:08:43.160 You defeated it.
00:08:44.760 By the pressure of campaign.
00:08:46.180 By your calls, which they hate getting from you.
00:08:48.040 Your emails, which they hate getting from you.
00:08:50.720 Your visits to their office or your protests outside, which they hate seeing.
00:08:54.980 You know why?
00:08:55.560 Because they hate you. 1.00
00:08:56.420 They think you're nothing but trash. 1.00
00:08:58.960 And these are the ones you put in office. 0.99
00:09:01.680 Not even talking about the opposition. 1.00
00:09:03.520 Thinks you're beneath trash. 0.99
00:09:04.600 The McHenry proposal, as we said, was so awful, such a surrender, so outrageous, 0.98
00:09:13.340 that in the conference yesterday, it was 80, but there was only 20 people supported.
00:09:18.080 And these are all the, these are all the grunt dunes of McCarthy.
00:09:21.000 This was McCarthy's deal of getting back in.
00:09:22.740 That's why he was so furious with Matt Gaetz.
00:09:24.460 When Matt Gaetz dropped the microphone, McCarthy starts yelling at him.
00:09:28.280 Starts yelling at him.
00:09:29.200 They're still furious. 0.99
00:09:30.840 We took their freaking power away. 0.96
00:09:33.140 And look who's protecting them. 0.96
00:09:34.180 The Newt Gingrich's of the world, the Fox, the Murdoch News Network, and now they got
00:09:39.320 the drumbeat.
00:09:40.400 Oh, that was the most amazing.
00:09:42.220 That was the greatest speech of his presidency.
00:09:44.840 You know, he was Lincoln-esque.
00:09:46.000 It was so amazing.
00:09:47.180 And let's, 60 to $80 billion to Ukraine.
00:09:50.780 And you're telling me that we're there for democracy?
00:09:52.680 That's it?
00:09:53.160 After he spent $113 billion?
00:09:55.600 And you're about to send young men and women into harm's right?
00:09:58.280 Where's the plan?
00:09:59.060 And what's the strategy?
00:10:00.940 Have enough respect for people and their sons and daughters that are all going to go die 1.00
00:10:06.220 on foreign battlefields as you bankrupt this nation.
00:10:10.440 I want to put this in perspective, folks.
00:10:12.540 The appropriation committee, as you know, if you're following along at home and keeping
00:10:18.320 a scorecard, we just passed, what, an $850 billion bloated defense bill in the House.
00:10:25.800 The House we control.
00:10:27.800 The Senate hasn't gotten to it, but they'll be even bigger.
00:10:29.960 And when you add in intelligence, and when you add it all in, it's $1 trillion.
00:10:34.960 $1 trillion.
00:10:37.100 And the ink in that, that hasn't even been signed.
00:10:40.360 They come to the nation last night for his 10 minutes on broadcast news, and it's looking
00:10:45.820 in your eye, he wants another $100 billion.
00:10:51.140 And they only throw a taste in there to Taiwan in processing for the illegal alien faders, 1.00
00:10:56.580 because they said to go, well, we got border security in Taiwan, how to abandon all these
00:11:00.000 anti-CCP guys.
00:11:01.220 Gosh, we're throwing a couple of bucks to those guys. 0.97
00:11:05.100 This is all about Ukraine.
00:11:07.060 It's all to support the money laundering operation in Ukraine.
00:11:10.460 And Brett Hume, you know, with that deep voice and the knitted brow.
00:11:15.500 You know, it's very important we do this because the evildoers in the world. 1.00
00:11:19.060 Dude, evildoers, are you a moron? 1.00
00:11:22.660 The evildoers in the world need to show, no. 1.00
00:11:26.580 The nations, we're up against the Persians and the Chinese Communist Party, and they 1.00
00:11:32.860 set a trap with the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza.
00:11:36.760 And Israel's backs to the wall. 0.60
00:11:38.800 I'll tell you where their backs to the wall.
00:11:40.780 You have Jewish students in this country that are up there taking over the Capitol and want 1.00
00:11:45.400 to cease fire.
00:11:46.020 You got all the media, got all these universities.
00:11:48.300 A brave professor last night at Columbia said that the president ought to be fired, and he's
00:11:53.140 intimidated.
00:11:53.620 He feels unsafe going across campus as a Jewish professor.
00:11:59.360 You got these college campuses that are going to intimidate these Jewish kids. 0.99
00:12:02.140 And hey, the fighting ain't started yet.
00:12:04.660 You wait till the IDF goes through Gaza tunnel by tunnel, block by block.
00:12:10.680 Their objective, and they're very upfront about this, their objective is to destroy root and 0.72
00:12:18.340 branch, root and branch, Hamas, Hamas's military operation and political and security infrastructure.
00:12:27.480 You know, the IDF has had a recent failures aside, have a history of delivering, and they
00:12:35.400 have a history of knowing how to deliver the hammer.
00:12:37.400 But you've got the Persians, have them surrounded. 1.00
00:12:41.300 You got Hezbollah, Hezbollah.
00:12:42.440 You know, Biden failed to mention last night our bases in Iraq, our embassy in Lebanon.
00:12:48.460 The Persians, the Persians have us surrounded on the little strip of land that's called Israel. 0.58
00:12:55.820 Israel's surrounded.
00:12:56.720 And they can bring a lot of heat and a lot of firepower.
00:13:01.500 So we have to think this through.
00:13:03.400 How do we help Israel without dragging the United States of America into another Mideast war that we just got out of?
00:13:11.340 Which Fox News is cheerleading.
00:13:13.020 Got the pom-poms out.
00:13:14.460 You know, they got the pom-poms out and none of their sons and daughters go over there and serve.
00:13:19.040 None of their sons and daughters go over there and serve.
00:13:20.880 They got the pom-poms out.
00:13:21.760 You know why? 1.00
00:13:22.400 Because you're nothing but trash. 0.99
00:13:23.920 You're there to pay the taxes, to have your pension money managed by the Larry Finks and the Steve Shortsman and the Ray Daly's of the world to go to China to take the jobs away or the Sequoia Capitals to supply our enemies with advanced equipment where they make tons of money and profits and funnel it back into the Democratic Party and give a few tips to McCarthy and Scalise and these corrupt individuals up on Capitol Hill to keep the machine going. 0.98
00:13:50.680 This fight today, what this fight with Jordan about in the McHenry thing, they only had, when they asked for a show of hands, somebody said a show of hands, only 20 hands went up.
00:14:02.200 They said, oh, it's a divided conference.
00:14:04.040 It's not divided.
00:14:04.780 It was overwhelmingly against the McHenry deal.
00:14:08.280 You know why it was overwhelmingly against?
00:14:10.360 They knew you understood. 0.99
00:14:12.520 You're not taking the Fox, the Murdoch News crap they're selling. 0.98
00:14:17.020 You knew exactly what this was. 0.99
00:14:18.500 This was a total and complete sellout.
00:14:21.180 Okay, we're going to take a short commercial break.
00:14:23.040 I'm a little fired up today, as you can see.
00:14:25.920 And you need to be.
00:14:28.000 Jim Jordan's finally listening.
00:14:29.580 Get to the floor and keep voting.
00:14:31.420 Rip their mask off.
00:14:32.580 Let the whole nation, and particularly their district, see, particularly these southern congressmen, corrupt up to their eyeballs, the Appropriators and Armed Services Committee. 0.91
00:14:42.360 Expose them to the nation.
00:14:43.660 Let them sit there, round after round, and let their constituents see them.
00:14:48.640 A day of truth comes to Capitol Hill.
00:14:51.580 All next in the war room.
00:14:55.040 We rejoice when there's no more.
00:14:57.220 Let's take down the seats.
00:14:58.780 Last month, the G20 announced a plan to impose digital currencies and digital IDs on their respective populations.
00:15:08.560 No, I'm not making that up.
00:15:10.200 That is a fact.
00:15:11.780 Central bank digital currencies essentially allow the government to track every purchase you make.
00:15:16.920 They could even allow officials to prohibit you from purchasing certain products or easily freeze or seize part or all of your money.
00:15:28.180 Let that sink in for a second.
00:15:30.900 In essence, they enable the government to take more control over your personal finances.
00:15:36.200 Concerned Americans are diversifying their assets into physical gold with the help of Birch Gold Group.
00:15:42.360 If you want a physical asset held in a tax-sheltered retirement account, you should call Birch Gold, too.
00:15:50.580 But learn for yourself.
00:15:51.880 Text Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N, to 989898, and they'll send you a free info kit on gold.
00:15:57.680 The easiest way to become a Birch Gold customer?
00:16:00.080 If you have an IRA or 401k from a previous employer just gathering dust, Birch Gold can help you convert it into IRA into gold.
00:16:11.180 And you don't pay a penny out of pocket.
00:16:13.760 Let me repeat that.
00:16:14.600 You don't pay a penny out of pocket.
00:16:17.180 Text Bannon to 989898.
00:16:19.200 Claim your free info kit on gold.
00:16:21.120 Then call Birch.
00:16:22.380 Because if digital currency becomes a reality, and trust me, they're on the path to make it so, it'll be nice to have some gold to fall back on.
00:16:33.180 It's only worked for 5,000 years of mankind's history.
00:16:37.380 Let Birch Gold work for you.
00:16:39.800 Bannon, 989898.
00:16:42.420 Text it right now.
00:16:44.060 Best, if not the best, speeches of his presidency.
00:16:46.440 He was firm, he was unequivocal, he was strong, as he has been, particularly in recent days before he went to Israel and while he was over there.
00:16:55.560 I was struck by the fact that he spent as much time as he did on Ukraine.
00:16:59.480 And I think it was a good thing that he did, because the aid for Ukraine package that he's talking about, and further aid to Ukraine beyond that, is in jeopardy.
00:17:08.380 And I think that he was hampered a little bit in that effort by the fact that he dare not really mention the best reason.
00:17:14.060 I mean, he mentioned, broadly speaking, the best reason for sticking with it in Ukraine, which is that what would the rest of the world and its evildoers think if we pulled out of there?
00:17:24.600 Because that comes on the heels of his having pulled out of Afghanistan, which arguably emboldened all of our adversaries.
00:17:33.640 Newt, I wrote your name in on the last ballot as Speaker of the House, because I thought you did such a good job 25 years ago.
00:17:41.140 Was I wrong?
00:17:41.740 I brought you in.
00:17:42.380 And, you know, I said, I'm for Gingrich.
00:17:44.080 You balanced the budget, you cut taxes, you've reformed welfare.
00:17:48.640 It was a hell of a performance.
00:17:50.180 I'm looking for that kind of speaker right now, Mr. Gingrich.
00:17:54.800 Well, listen, I think the whole conference is, but they're going to have to get in a room.
00:17:58.460 I saw just a few minutes ago Jim Jordan has decided to go back and try again,
00:18:03.180 because it turned out what I thought was a good idea to have McHenry, the current speaker pro tem, stay on until January 3rd.
00:18:11.240 I mean, these folks have got to calm down the level of anger, the level of hostility in the conference.
00:18:17.220 All of it started by eight traitors.
00:18:19.620 That's what they were, traitors, who abandoned their party and allied with the Democrats against 96 percent of the Republican Party with no idea what they would do if they won.
00:18:31.720 They have caused chaos.
00:18:33.940 They have embarrassed the Republican Party and they've weakened the United States at a time when there are two major wars underway.
00:18:40.500 And it's really, truly, I think, the most disgraceful behavior by Republicans in my lifetime.
00:18:46.560 After he sits there and says he supports the McHenry, McHenry, let me repeat this, because the media is not reporting it accurately.
00:18:57.560 When they, a guy, one of the guys stood up, one of McCarthy's guys, because this was all, this is all the restoration of McCarthy.
00:19:03.840 Understand the play here.
00:19:04.740 And by the way, make sure you give me a heads up when we start voting or they start the nominations.
00:19:11.080 We're kind of producing on the fly here, as you can tell on the road.
00:19:14.640 Not the tight unit we normally have in the war room.
00:19:17.480 Only, they thought they're going to have this big, overwhelming support.
00:19:24.680 Only 20 hands went up out of 222 or 220.
00:19:30.720 Let me repeat this.
00:19:33.000 20 hands went up.
00:19:34.200 You know why 20 hands went up?
00:19:35.920 Because of you.
00:19:37.680 You understood this.
00:19:38.840 You didn't take the BS they're selling at Fox.
00:19:41.260 You didn't take, oh, Newt, we just want to, it's just temporary to get things on track.
00:19:45.580 No, it's not.
00:19:46.140 It's the cartel winning.
00:19:48.220 What they embarrassed was the uniparty cartel, as Nancy May says, beta males that are the elected officials of the Republican Party.
00:20:01.460 That's who's been intimidated.
00:20:02.740 They've been intimidated by the pressure campaign and the pressure campaign just starting.
00:20:08.420 This is the fight we've always wanted.
00:20:11.100 This is the fight that has come from the financial collapse in 2008 and the Tea Party rise in 2010.
00:20:16.020 And the House Freedom Caucus and others.
00:20:18.720 And then Donald Trump.
00:20:20.540 This is the fight we want to have because this is not happy talk fight.
00:20:23.580 This is not the pro wrestling shiny toys that Fox News is going to throw out to you all the time.
00:20:28.320 This is this is this is the fight about power and money.
00:20:32.140 And they hate it.
00:20:32.780 They hate it.
00:20:33.180 You have a say so.
00:20:34.880 OK, Caroline rents here. 1.00
00:20:36.300 We'll get her in a second. 0.99
00:20:37.180 Just let me know.
00:20:37.800 We're up.
00:20:38.200 Let me know when they do the nomination speeches.
00:20:39.880 Let me know when they say we're kind of doing this on the fly here.
00:20:44.560 But this is very important.
00:20:47.620 It's very important that Jordan and remember this audience.
00:20:50.100 It's just like the first debt deal.
00:20:52.640 The MAGA and the deplorables and the war room posse.
00:20:54.700 We were ornery, but, you know, when pressed, we can be quasi reasonable.
00:21:01.040 We kind of acquiesced to the first debt deal, although we hated it because I understood at least that's something.
00:21:06.460 And it got one year.
00:21:07.440 And then McHenry and McCarthy sold us out for the worst deal in American political history, the two year debt deal with no limits and no caps.
00:21:18.560 And you're seeing it play out right now.
00:21:21.120 E.J. and Tony is going to get to me sometime today.
00:21:23.620 The Treasury is finally going to come forward and have a press conference, supposedly to show you where the accounts on 30 September because they're like they're taking student debt and they're moving stuff around because they don't want to show a two trillion dollar deficit.
00:21:37.760 You can't hide from the math here.
00:21:39.780 That's what this fight's about.
00:21:41.100 This fight is to save this republic.
00:21:43.080 And it's a populist uprising by people have had a belly full of.
00:21:46.440 They had enough lies.
00:21:47.480 They've had enough spin.
00:21:48.860 And because of not just this show, but other shows, you got Charlie Kirk, Posobiec and so many podcasts and local AM radio that people now understand they can they can they can disaggregate this stuff, this stuff and citizens can understand it.
00:22:01.800 They go, hey, I got it.
00:22:02.760 They're all the happy talk and the RNC talking points or Fox's hour after hour after hour after hour.
00:22:10.580 That got us into Iraq, that got us into Afghanistan.
00:22:13.640 Afghanistan that had all the Bush bailouts after the 2008 collapse that led to the 2008 collapse.
00:22:22.620 All the all the all the spinning, all the lies, all stripped away right here, right now.
00:22:30.460 That's what Jordan is.
00:22:31.960 Our instrument is he perfect.
00:22:33.800 He's far from perfect.
00:22:34.580 This ain't the Jim Jordan of the of the early days of the Freedom Caucus.
00:22:37.380 Obviously, he's not.
00:22:40.680 Jim Jordan was in on the McHenry deal.
00:22:43.000 That's OK.
00:22:44.380 That's OK.
00:22:45.520 Had a moment of weakness because they all get him up there.
00:22:49.420 This is all. 0.67
00:22:51.000 McHenry is just a grundoon. 0.86
00:22:54.300 It's McCarthy. 0.95
00:22:55.600 This is still the cartel.
00:22:57.100 This will have been fighting from the beginning.
00:22:58.280 And for Newt Gingrich to sit there and call those heroes, traitors, shows you they are a traitor to the uniparty cartel that is taking this country over the brink.
00:23:13.780 And don't don't don't don't don't ask me to read the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the New York Times business section.
00:23:19.520 Read it all because now they all agree with what we've been saying forever.
00:23:22.180 Remember that the out of control federal spending is going to lead to inflation and the inflation is going to rock.
00:23:27.900 It's going to come into the system.
00:23:30.720 And once it's into the system and you've got to finance it, you've got to finance these massive deficits.
00:23:34.800 It's game over.
00:23:37.560 As I've told you, the interest expense this year, I got some very smart guys internationally that that that that that make a living on these bonds being worth 100 cents on the dollar that are running the numbers.
00:23:49.800 And they're telling me, Steve, they believe the interest expense this year is going to be over a trillion dollars.
00:23:56.540 We haven't we haven't refined that yet.
00:23:59.280 When we do, we'll present to you.
00:24:01.940 Because we need this audience to be on the cutting edge.
00:24:06.060 Remember all day long in media.
00:24:08.100 Oh, this bullying and this, this, this.
00:24:11.420 Hey, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen, resign today. 1.00
00:24:14.900 If it's too hard for you or too tough, go home and crawl in bed, get in the fetal position, curl up, suck your thumb and have mommy come in and pat you on the head. 0.99
00:24:26.220 People are angry and they got a reason to be angry because you're destroying the country. 0.98
00:24:30.240 And now we're about to go in and to venture.
00:24:33.560 Did you hear one word about the invasion on our southern border last night, which is the number one national security.
00:24:42.220 The vital national security interests of the United States has absolutely zero to do with the eastern Russian speaking border of Ukraine.
00:24:53.580 We don't care about their self-determination, their sovereignty, their their territorial integrity.
00:25:01.060 That's a European issue.
00:25:03.160 And the Europeans, if it's such a big deal, where are the Europeans?
00:25:07.240 Where are all those rich folks in Switzerland?
00:25:08.880 Norway is sitting on a one point five trillion dollar sovereign wealth fund.
00:25:14.000 All those people have health care.
00:25:16.260 They all have pensions.
00:25:17.440 They're working four day work weeks.
00:25:18.840 They take the month of August off and they all retire at their 50.
00:25:22.160 Is that your life?
00:25:23.960 Are you taking August off?
00:25:26.200 Are you working four day work weeks?
00:25:28.660 Are you living the life of Riley like the Europeans live? 1.00
00:25:31.380 Are you doing that?
00:25:32.240 Do you have a pension?
00:25:33.220 Can you retire at 50?
00:25:34.300 Ask yourself your lived experience, particularly folks out there that got multiple jobs or the 60 to 70 percent of the American people that got to live paycheck to paycheck.
00:25:45.940 And the way you do that, you gap it with a credit card that's now got an APR of twenty nine percent.
00:25:52.420 How's your life?
00:25:53.360 Your life good.
00:25:55.060 Do you see last night all that money?
00:25:56.700 Was any of it going to the United States of America?
00:25:58.900 Was any of it really going to the border to shut the border down immediately and start deport eight to ten million invaders he's allowed in this country? 0.95
00:26:07.960 Any of it?
00:26:08.580 No.
00:26:08.940 All of it was from processing the little bit of tip money he put in there.
00:26:12.660 And he only put the tip money in there because they had to say, gosh, you can't vote against border security or Israel or Taiwan.
00:26:18.360 This whole thing last night.
00:26:22.520 Think about it for a second.
00:26:23.920 You're in a financial crisis.
00:26:25.540 Interest rates are out of control.
00:26:27.240 They got they're hiding this.
00:26:28.640 They're hiding the accounts at the end of the year because they don't want to show you how much they lied to you in the first place and how much McHenry and McCarthy lied to you about a deal they just cut in May.
00:26:38.400 They're hiding.
00:26:39.100 They're trying to hide everything for you, obscure everything for you from you.
00:26:42.560 And he has the gall to sit there and look you in the eye and want 60 to 80 billion dollars to a money laundering operation over in Ukraine with the human sex trafficking and the biolabs and all of it. 1.00
00:26:57.900 You have to admire their chutzpah.
00:27:01.820 We have an eight hundred and fifty billion dollar bloated defense bill. 0.94
00:27:08.040 And we haven't won a war.
00:27:11.060 And by the way, the Gulf War wasn't a war.
00:27:12.500 That was a battle.
00:27:13.200 We won one battle since Vietnam. 0.65
00:27:15.420 And it's not about the valor.
00:27:17.120 It's not about the valor and courage of the young men and women that gave their lives to the country on foreign battlefields from Southeast Asia to the Hindu Kush to the deserts of Iraq.
00:27:27.320 You couldn't ask for any more bravery.
00:27:29.680 They were volunteers of the poor draftees in Vietnam. 0.99
00:27:33.220 Look at all the volunteers.
00:27:34.340 They volunteered to serve their country for what? 0.98
00:27:36.900 For Newt Gingrich and Brett Hume and his whole all this crap up in Washington, D.C. 0.72
00:27:41.020 Is that what they gave their lives for? 0.91
00:27:42.560 And we're going to get into getting all the cheerleaders on the Fox morning show. 0.99
00:27:46.100 Got the pom poms out.
00:27:47.220 Let's go.
00:27:47.780 Let's roll.
00:27:49.120 Best speech in his presidency.
00:27:51.700 The best speech in his presidency was to ask you to fund a money laundering operation.
00:27:56.260 They're stealing with two hands.
00:27:57.700 I tell you what.
00:27:58.300 Before we consider one penny for Zelensky and those crooks and those oligarchs with all the yachts down in Monaco, let's just get an audit.
00:28:07.820 And they can round up to the nearest $5 billion, how much money they stole out of the first $113 billion.
00:28:14.060 And go to the chalets in Switzerland and to the south of France and let's go to Tuscany and let's go to Florence and let's go up there to Paris and let's go to the Cotswolds.
00:28:25.380 And in Belgravia and London, let's go there.
00:28:27.360 Where's their money and where are their kids?
00:28:31.960 How about this?
00:28:33.100 The deplorable's got an answer for you. 1.00
00:28:34.660 Screw you. 1.00
00:28:36.740 Next in the war room. 0.99
00:28:40.600 Are you tired of progressive corporations and exhausted trying to keep up with all the virtue signaling when you're simply trying to buy products?
00:28:52.620 Progressive corporate America continues to push messaging that further alienates conservative Americans, all while eroding the future of the American dream.
00:29:04.620 It's prominent all over the country.
00:29:06.720 Companies like Starbucks strong-arming their customers to support abortion.
00:29:11.500 Financial services like PayPal canceling customers for their political views.
00:29:15.980 Makeup companies like Maybelline making a mockery of women by supporting transgender models. 1.00
00:29:20.760 And beer companies like Bud Light forcing gender ideology on you when all you want is to enjoy a cold beer. 0.93
00:29:29.000 Thankfully, we don't have to fund these companies any longer with our hard-earned dollars.
00:29:34.780 With Public Square, we now have a solution.

00:30:48.880 Okay, remember, we're here today at this historic vote.
00:30:56.040 And, look, our advice to Jordan is get up there and keep voting.
00:31:00.160 And you keep the pressure on at home.
00:31:01.600 202-225-3121 is the main switchboard for the House.
00:31:06.600 But by now, I'm sure you've perfected having your voice heard.
00:31:10.740 The local offices is good.
00:31:13.880 Those are good.
00:31:15.200 Emails, all of it.
00:31:16.900 And, of course, let's remain as civil as one can remain in this insanity.
00:31:22.980 Cash Patel joins me.
00:31:23.960 We've got Caroline Wren also is here. 0.99
00:31:26.420 Cash, Brett Hume, I've played it twice now because the audience wanted to hear it.
00:31:30.480 Because it's so good.
00:31:31.260 Said it was so good.
00:31:31.920 He said it was the greatest speech for Biden's presidency, one of the greatest speeches ever from the Oval Office.
00:31:36.100 He said it was profound.
00:31:37.420 It was on point.
00:31:38.240 And he said it was particularly good they spent all that time talking about Ukraine, although he didn't talk about any strategy, objectives, anything about it.
00:31:45.300 You're the national security advisor to President Trump.
00:31:48.180 Your take?
00:31:49.360 I think it's an abject travesty that he used the Oval Office to announce the degradation of our nation and the destruction of the world order with our allies.
00:31:59.360 Imagine if President Trump went into the Oval Office and said, hey, we're going to print another $500 billion for two world wars.
00:32:07.340 And by the way, we're winning over national security matters like on the southern border from the Oval Office.
00:32:14.680 You would never see that.
00:32:16.240 You would have Brett Hume, Brett Baer, whatever they are.
00:32:19.100 They'd be out there excoriating him for using the proper Oval Office to make such an announcement.
00:32:24.460 But only these guys would come out and cheer him.
00:32:27.060 There was not one word of encouragement in that statement.
00:32:31.660 Joe Biden, and this is when I turned it off, he actually said behind the Resolute desk to the world that we, the United States of America, are not sending troops to Russia.
00:32:41.980 What is he talking about?
00:32:45.240 Hopefully that went in the written part of the speech.
00:32:47.260 He just went.
00:32:47.980 He was winging that.
00:32:48.900 But also the pitch for even Ukraine.
00:32:52.200 This is why I keep saying this is the House's responsibility.
00:32:54.960 This is McCarthy because, remember, the defense contractors are making money.
00:32:59.040 Their stocks are way up.
00:33:00.480 McCarthy never forced him to come to the House and present a plan, the War Powers Act.
00:33:05.420 Did he say anything last night?
00:33:07.480 Even if you were a supporter of Ukraine, did he give you any ammo to put forward the case besides we're fighting for democracy?
00:33:14.720 No.
00:33:15.160 By the way, for a nation that Zelensky's running like a dictator, they don't even have elections anymore.
00:33:20.580 Yeah.
00:33:21.300 And not only did he fail to do that, but what he did was he shows up, Joe Biden, in the Oval Office and says, we're going to print more money.
00:33:30.060 But it's a political stunt.
00:33:31.640 He's punting it to the Republicans in Congress because right now we don't have a speaker.
00:33:34.900 And then he's going to say, oh, well, you know, I wanted all this aid.
00:33:37.780 I wanted to help Israel and I wanted to help the Ukraine.
00:33:40.360 But the Republicans got in my way and wouldn't pass a funding bill.
00:33:43.360 First of all, he can send money over there.
00:33:45.320 He's got a slew of executive orders he could sign if he wanted to actually send money over there right now.
00:33:51.480 But he doesn't want to take that.
00:33:52.280 To Israel, if he wanted to help. 0.92
00:33:53.260 To Israel, to Ukraine, under IEPA and the Emergency Powers Act, the president of the United States can sling money around the world easily.
00:34:02.220 But he said, no, I've asked Congress to provide me with the funds.
00:34:06.380 And you're right.
00:34:06.780 The defense industrial complex, and I've said this for years, these guys are worse than every lobbyist group in Washington, D.C.
00:34:12.420 They are having a dance party.
00:34:14.480 And for anyone that doesn't think we're not in two world wars, you guys are out of your mind.
00:34:19.260 Just because the United States –
00:34:20.100 Well, one world war on two fronts.
00:34:21.560 Okay.
00:34:22.080 Fair enough.
00:34:22.640 Fair enough.
00:34:22.920 Or three fronts.
00:34:23.680 The big one is the invasion of the southern border.
00:34:25.500 They've got eight million illegal alien invaders plus many combat divisions already here.
00:34:30.300 But these empty –
00:34:31.120 Hezbollah – you know Hezbollah and Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Party of God are deep into the United States. 0.89
00:34:36.620 No, and it's all related on the southern border.
00:34:38.680 We talked about that the other day.
00:34:40.240 But Hezbollah and Iran and everybody else, they are laughing at us because Joe Biden is out there touting, oh, we're going to support the Iron Dome.
00:34:49.460 We're going to do this.
00:34:50.260 We're going to give you defense systems.
00:34:51.420 What defense systems?
00:34:52.600 You gave away seven years' worth of our surface-to-air missiles to the Ukraine.
00:34:56.700 That means if we printed them from now for 365 days, it would take the U.S. seven years to replenish our stocks.
00:35:04.480 That's just one defense system.
00:35:06.640 And that's why the defense industrial complex, they are literally – they should be out here – they're probably out here in Vegas having a party.
00:35:12.340 Well, no, because right now, the 20 – of the 20, they're all appropriators or on the House Armed Services Committee.
00:35:19.200 This is what they are.
00:35:20.200 This is the cartel.
00:35:24.280 The cartel has the money – allocates the money, and they don't want to give anything up.
00:35:28.320 Can we bring in Caroline Wren before – I'm sure we're going to go to the floor for the nominating speeches here in a second. 1.00
00:35:33.060 Is Caroline Wren with us?
00:35:34.560 Hey.
00:35:35.160 Caroline – do we have Caroline?
00:35:36.980 Hey.
00:35:37.620 Hey, how you doing?
00:35:38.420 Give us your assessment of how important defeating a McHenry proposal last night – of course, Newt says you're a traitor for doing that – and then getting Jim Jordan, our Jim Jordan, up there and get him, start voting, and take vote after vote after vote, ma'am.
00:35:55.140 Newt also said in that statement when he called us ever with traitors that the eight did against what 96 percent of the Republican Party wants.
00:36:03.940 He's so off.
00:36:04.640 He did what 96 percent of what these folks in Washington, D.C. want.
00:36:08.280 But really, 60 percent of Americans agreed with the ousting of McCarthy, and honestly, the other 40 percent I think probably just didn't understand the question because the majority – overwhelming majority of Americans think D.C. is headed in the wrong direction, and that includes the leaders who are leading us in that wrong direction.
00:36:24.300 So it just shows how out-of-touch Newt's statement was and how much the American people actually support what is going on right now and want to see this fight happen.
00:36:31.880 In fact, I'm talking to grassroots folks and donors every day.
00:36:34.740 They're like, Caroline, what is the urgency?
00:36:36.140 Frankly, we don't want a speaker because the second we get a speaker, this is all about passing this Ukraine aid.
00:36:42.200 That is all that they want.
00:36:43.140 That's why the McHenry thing was perfect.
00:36:45.080 They were going to let him be the sacrificial lamb so they could push through the $100 billion in aid and say, oh, McHenry worked with some Democrats and throw him under the bus, and that's fine.
00:36:53.460 He stays in for one more term, and then he goes and joins Raytheon or one of these lobbying firms, and everyone just keeps going as normal.
00:36:59.900 And so it is just – it is a very scary time.
00:37:02.840 There's never been a time more that we need to fight.
00:37:04.380 And it reminds me, Steve, you're hearing all these members of Congress say, oh, I'm getting calls and they're terrible and mean emails.
00:37:11.260 This is exactly what they did in the RNC race where they gaslighted us.
00:37:14.500 It was 168 members that got to chose who the head of the Republican Party was.
00:37:19.040 They decided to vote for Ronald McDaniel against the will of every single Republican in the country.
00:37:23.700 And they used – they said that the pressure campaign was the reason why it's the way – this is the excuse that they used.
00:37:29.660 I'm not even commenced – I'm sorry.
00:37:30.960 I met the warlord posse.
00:37:32.360 These are nice, wonderful people who are calling to express their first amendment right to tell their elected officials how they would like them to vote or what they want to do.
00:37:40.060 So almost all of them extremely peaceful and kindly.
00:37:42.640 I think it's agitators either from the unit party on the left that would do a couple of those calls that are threatening.
00:37:48.380 And then they use that as their example to say, oh, my gosh, now we can't vote for Jim Jordan because I got some voicemail on my district line.
00:37:56.940 And now I'm too nervous and this is all Jim Jordan's fault.
00:37:59.940 Give me a break.
00:38:01.000 Grow a spine.
00:38:02.160 Go vote for Jim Jordan. 0.94
00:38:03.840 Get back to work and vote down this ridiculous aid package. 0.86
00:38:07.360 That's my message.
00:38:08.100 I mean, Nancy May said yesterday – I think one of the folks shut her down on Twitter, right? 0.89
00:38:17.220 And she came out and she says, the problem we have in D.C. and the Republican Party – and I hate to use the vernacular she used, but she said, we don't have enough congressmen with balls, right?
00:38:26.680 I mean, that's essentially – they don't – and remember, the mainstream media is all over you in the pressure can.
00:38:31.940 It's not working.
00:38:32.960 It's backfired.
00:38:33.680 Hey, if it was not working, they wouldn't be saying that.
00:38:36.380 So it is working.
00:38:38.460 You've got to continue it.
00:38:39.500 You have every right to hear your voice.
00:38:41.720 And right now it's overwhelming.
00:38:43.780 It's like 99 to 1.
00:38:45.760 And the 1 is somebody of theirs that does fundraising for them that's calling in and saying, no, what we want to do is keep spending money.
00:38:52.640 What is your advice to Jim Jordan right now?
00:38:55.180 You need to have a spine also and do not back down.
00:39:00.060 Take it to 15 votes, 20 votes, 25 votes.
00:39:02.260 Hold them there all weekend.
00:39:03.460 Lock them in there.
00:39:04.180 Who cares?
00:39:04.580 If you notice right now, look how many of the members on the floor are dressed casually.
00:39:07.980 They're not dressed casually.
00:39:08.840 They're dressed casually because they plan to leave there and go get on a flight and go home.
00:39:12.620 They think that that's what's going to happen.
00:39:13.940 They think this will be a vote that Jim Jordan is going to lose and then everybody just goes home.
00:39:17.600 And they better not leave there until they finish.
00:39:19.900 I mean, I actually go back and forth right now.
00:39:22.720 I'm not really in an urgent place to elect a speaker because I have no confidence at all in our Congress actually functioning.
00:39:28.100 I think we function better when they're not functioning.
00:39:30.660 So but if we are going to have a speaker, it should be Jim Jordan.
00:39:33.660 They should get it done today and stop this narrative.
00:39:36.180 And this is all a distraction.
00:39:37.380 It's meant to distract us from the Ukraine funding and also the Republican Party.
00:39:41.740 Donald Trump is up, you know, way up 60, 70 percent in the polls.
00:39:45.460 And right now we need to be focusing on things like how do we shore up our elections and election integrity?
00:39:49.360 How do we be registering people to vote?
00:39:51.100 How do we win this next election?
00:39:52.500 Everything that they do right now is calculated.
00:39:54.380 It is meant to distract us from something else.
00:39:56.160 And we need to be cautious and asking those questions and critically thinking why.
00:39:59.720 What are they distracting us from us right now?
00:40:03.780 By the way, I think we're hearing that the reason this quorum is taking so long is that not everybody's there.
00:40:09.820 They're taking this very casually.
00:40:10.960 I agree with you.
00:40:13.640 Why do we need a speaker to take a resolution out on Israel?
00:40:16.240 Everybody knows we support Israel.
00:40:17.280 We don't need a resolution for that.
00:40:18.580 That's the big thing.
00:40:19.820 It's a big rush.
00:40:20.380 We've got to do that or pass the Ukraine funding.
00:40:22.600 How about this?
00:40:23.500 Here's how much money you're going to get in Ukraine.
00:40:25.900 Zero.
00:40:26.980 The number is the null set.
00:40:29.040 We've sent enough.
00:40:29.980 In fact, we want our money back.
00:40:31.980 We want the money.
00:40:32.820 They stole all the money in the yachts down in Monaco, all the yachts in all the all the
00:40:38.740 high living in chateaus and all the the palaces they're living in down near Cannes and France on the south of France.
00:40:47.020 Right.
00:40:48.220 Everything they've got in San Maritz, all of it.
00:40:51.200 We want it all back.
00:40:52.240 All the money they stole, essentially, that people are blaming the Ukrainian people.
00:40:57.360 It's not the Ukrainian people. 1.00
00:40:58.240 There are 50,000 dead Ukrainians because Zelensky, the crooks and the oligarchs, along with our defense industry and the globalists and the Bidens, who are stealing with both hands. 0.98
00:41:08.240 Can you believe the audacity, Caroline, with the situation we have and the defense bill that the ink's not even dry, that $850 billion, he would come to address the nation, ask for $100 billion and $60 to $80 billion of that would be to Ukraine.
00:41:24.100 So then we would have $200 billion into a sinkhole, a quagmire.
00:41:29.320 There's no victory for the Ukrainians a year from now. 1.00
00:41:32.960 You're going to come back with another $80 billion and another $80 billion and another $80 billion.
00:41:36.900 And this is why McCarthy never wanted him to come to the house because then the American people say, well, hang on.
00:41:43.300 I think I saw this movie before.
00:41:45.400 Just pick a couple of random examples.
00:41:47.680 Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, just to name the top three to come to mind.
00:41:51.840 We're not going to do this anymore.
00:41:53.980 Caroline Wren.
00:41:55.800 No, I wish they were this urgent about the fact that every single day in this country, it's the equivalent of a Boeing 747 going down and everyone dying.
00:42:03.880 That is how many people are dying of fentanyl overdoses.
00:42:05.840 So, you know what, maybe they should lock themselves in there all weekend and try and figure out a way to deal with our southern border and stop the flow of fentanyl that is killing an entire generation of Americans.
00:42:16.680 That is the war that we should all be talking about right now.
00:42:19.440 That's the war that should be funded. 0.77
00:42:21.280 That's where troops are needed.
00:42:22.880 And that is not what's happening at all.
00:42:24.780 This is all distractions.
00:42:25.840 And it's because Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, they don't get any money out of stopping the fentanyl.
00:42:31.520 And you know what, big pharma, they also lose money on it too.
00:42:35.020 And so that is why it's never going to be urgent because there's no money to be made when you stop young people from dying of fentanyl overdoses.
00:42:43.020 And that is a horrific thing to even have to come out of my mouth, but it's the absolute truth.
00:42:47.340 And so I don't know if we have to cut Boeing and Lockheed Martin in in some way to get – which, fine, maybe we just have to do that, like pay these folks off to get them to lobby on stopping the absolute just drug cartel and murder happening at our southern border.
00:43:01.380 So I would love to see some sort of urgency or discussion about that and not whatever the heck this is going to be all day.
00:43:08.020 Normally we would blow breaks here on a historic moment like this vote as Jim Jordan comes back from the dark side.
00:43:16.260 They momentarily got Brother Jordan.
00:43:19.220 You see, you can't – I love Jim Jordan, but sometimes you can't leave him to his own devices, okay?
00:43:23.320 Wandered around and supported – they took him hostage and he supported the McHenry deal.
00:43:27.940 He must have had a call from Newt.
00:43:29.460 Newt told him how great it was.
00:43:31.380 They still don't have enough – they're still missing.
00:43:33.860 There's still a bunch of people missing.
00:43:35.700 This is up in your face.
00:43:37.480 This is another example that's showing – this doesn't really matter.
00:43:40.000 This is all these MAGA people and the deplorables. 0.65
00:43:42.240 We'll show up when we want to show up.
00:43:44.020 They're 45 minutes late for it.
00:43:45.500 They're still going to go – we're going to go short commercial break.
00:43:47.440 Cash is in the house with us.
00:43:49.720 Cash got a lot to talk about, about government gangsters, Holland's merch line, everything.
00:43:54.180 Cash, you actually live out here in the desert, don't you?
00:43:56.180 This is home.
00:43:56.840 Welcome to Las Vegas, baby.
00:43:58.460 Cash live in large.
00:43:59.360 Cash is global.
00:44:02.580 Glass is gold.
00:44:03.280 It's in the nation's – in the imperial capital, in Vegas, all of it.
00:44:07.040 Caroline Wren is also with us, too.
00:44:08.620 But because of our limited production capacity, I want to thank the team at REV for putting this up overnight.
00:44:13.320 We're doing her by Skype.
00:44:14.460 Okay.
00:44:14.720 We're here at the Strategy Conference for CPAC.
00:44:17.220 We're going to take a short commercial break.
00:44:18.700 We're going to return.
00:44:19.240 It's a historic day.
00:44:20.740 Note to Jim Jordan.
00:44:22.420 Break down one of those wrestling – grip them, baby. 1.00
00:44:25.000 Grip them and don't let them go.
00:44:26.220 Keep them there all weekend.
00:44:27.400 Keep them there late tonight.
00:44:29.200 You'll be quite amazed about how many people see reason at about midnight on Capitol Hill when they want to go home and hang out with the elites.
00:44:40.320 Short commercial break.
00:44:41.140 Back in the warm in a moment.

00:46:20.280 PatriotMobile.com slash Bannon or call 878-PATRIOT.
00:46:25.420 As an effective legislator.
00:46:26.980 To legislate is about more than the name on the bill.
00:46:43.280 It's about reaching compromise and working long hours behind the scenes to get the job done.
00:46:48.900 The House will come to order.
00:46:58.460 The gentleman may resume.
00:47:01.120 When you are the chairman of a committee, you are responsible for dozens of bills passing the House and being signed into law.
00:47:08.560 So let me tell you a few facts that don't come out of the polls.
00:47:11.740 As the leader of the Judiciary Committee, Jim has passed more bills through the House in just three years than the entire Democrat leadership team that has their collective 28 years in Congress.
00:47:23.460 Mr. Aguilar has a whopping one whole bill signed into law.
00:47:43.540 A post office in San Bernardino.
00:47:45.380 I guess that's good enough to be caucus chair.
00:47:56.720 Jim Jordan, on the other hand, has a hand in drafting bills like the RAINS Act to curb unaccountable bureaucrats.
00:48:06.700 He helped negotiate and pass H.R. 2, the strongest border security bill this House has ever passed.
00:48:15.380 And many of you know, because you were in the room, watching Jim find compromise, watching Jim listen to your positions, and finding a bill that can pass.
00:48:39.420 And let's put this in reality.
00:48:42.380 We've had large majorities, but we never could pass a border security bill.
00:48:47.960 That takes leadership.
00:48:50.480 Now they're going to get upset by it.
00:48:52.100 Why?
00:48:52.400 Because every single Democrat voted against securing our border.
00:48:57.060 Democrats are attacking Jim because they don't want the American people to remember that they voted against securing and keeping a wide open border.
00:49:11.520 They may not want the American public to know the number of people we catch on the terrorist watch list.
00:49:18.860 They may not want people to know what the future holds and the security for our nation based upon their policies.
00:49:27.060 Name me one bill Democrats passed that would secure our border.
00:49:32.200 I'm waiting.
00:49:33.040 You can't because they haven't.
00:49:37.620 Mr. Speaker, the truth is, if we measure lawmakers by how many bills have their name on it, we are using the wrong measuring stick.
00:49:48.600 Some of my members I know with the most bills to their name are the most selfish.
00:49:53.120 Jim Jordan, on the other hand, is one of the most selfless members I've known.
00:50:06.900 I've known Jim a long time, so I want to do something different.
00:50:11.380 I actually called the freshman members on his committee and asked them,
00:50:18.220 What do you think of your chairman?
00:50:21.240 Here's just a few.
00:50:23.960 I quote,
00:50:25.100 Jim empowers every member of judiciary to pursue what interests them.
00:50:31.900 I quote,
00:50:32.520 By another, he lets each of us take the lead on the issues that are important to us,
00:50:37.880 even letting freshmen and junior members take important roles.
00:50:43.480 Another one,
00:50:44.340 He trusts our judgment on how we handle issues and witnesses,
00:50:47.940 and always seeks our input on key issues.
00:50:52.820 Another,
00:50:53.800 As a freshman,
00:50:55.200 he had me lead off a hearing that related to my subject matter expertise,
00:51:00.260 and he goes out of his way to highlight members' successes.
00:51:04.660 He is straightforward,
00:51:06.860 honest,
00:51:07.460 and reliable.
00:51:09.260 That is who Jim Jordan is,
00:51:11.720 and that's what being a speaker is all about.
00:51:14.760 Now some of you might not know this,
00:51:23.480 but Jim and I have a long history.
00:51:31.760 We created because we take our job serious.
00:51:34.020 I first met Jim as a candidate.
00:51:43.240 I traveled to Ohio.
00:51:44.840 I remember pulling up for breakfast at a Bob Evans in Ohio.
00:51:49.480 There was Jim having a meeting,
00:51:52.340 listening to constituents.
00:51:54.740 I traveled with him throughout the day,
00:51:56.840 from Rotary to Farm Bureau,
00:51:59.300 to just listening to people that had concerns.
00:52:01.260 And I watched them,
00:52:04.680 the same Jim Jordan I see today.
00:52:09.160 He was a leader,
00:52:11.060 a listener,
00:52:12.140 and a fighter.
00:52:15.820 We were actually elected to Congress that same year
00:52:19.640 and became close friends.
00:52:21.740 It was a small class.
00:52:23.080 There was only 13 of us.
00:52:24.240 It was one of the smallest Republican classes in modern history.
00:52:26.800 Over time,
00:52:30.260 we took different routes.
00:52:33.400 Jim actually ran against me for leader in 2018.
00:52:37.000 It was a hard-fought battle.
00:52:40.040 But I never once questioned
00:52:42.640 his skills or commitment to this conference
00:52:45.740 or this country.
00:52:47.860 After the race,
00:52:48.820 I became leader,
00:52:49.600 and we had an opening
00:52:50.420 for the ranking member on House Oversight.
00:52:54.120 Jim didn't even apply for the job.
00:52:58.880 I walked into steering.
00:53:01.500 Didn't tell steering.
00:53:04.240 I walked into the other room,
00:53:06.340 and I picked up the phone,
00:53:08.220 and I called Jim.
00:53:11.120 I said,
00:53:11.800 I know you're not running for the job,
00:53:14.180 but I believe in what Jim Collins says in the book,
00:53:17.260 Good to Great.
00:53:18.500 You put the right people
00:53:19.880 in the right seats on the bus.
00:53:22.140 And Jim,
00:53:23.860 you and I may have challenged one another,
00:53:27.020 but you were the right person
00:53:28.660 for that seat.
00:53:32.240 And it was right
00:53:33.220 when he took that job.
00:53:35.300 It was right again
00:53:36.320 when I asked Jim to step up
00:53:38.000 and join the Intel Committee
00:53:39.600 when Democrats put politics over people
00:53:41.780 and turned the Intel Committee
00:53:43.440 into an impeachment committee.
00:53:45.060 It was right again
00:53:47.840 when we asked Jim to step up
00:53:49.520 and be the right person
00:53:51.180 to lead Judiciary Committee
00:53:52.560 as chairman.
00:53:55.020 And Jim is the right person
00:53:57.420 to take that seat behind me
00:53:59.960 to be our next Speaker of the House.
00:54:02.400 Mr. Speaker,
00:54:15.680 we have an important job to do.
00:54:17.560 The American people expect us
00:54:18.980 to focus on the most pressing issues.
00:54:21.980 We've watched
00:54:22.800 what the Democrat majority has done
00:54:24.520 and brought its inflation
00:54:25.460 like we haven't seen since the 70s.
00:54:27.800 We've watched
00:54:28.540 what the Democrats have done
00:54:29.700 by opening up our border,
00:54:32.360 bringing fentanyl, 0.99
00:54:33.400 killing Americans 0.99
00:54:34.240 each and every day. 0.75
00:54:36.440 And now we have a war in Israel.
00:54:39.620 This country is too great
00:54:41.540 for small visions.
00:54:44.800 Trust me,
00:54:46.720 being Speaker is not an easy job,
00:54:48.960 especially in this conference.
00:54:53.040 But I've seen Jim
00:54:54.460 spend his entire career
00:54:56.140 fighting for freedom.
00:54:59.700 No matter what,
00:55:01.240 no matter the odds,
00:55:03.120 and I know
00:55:03.720 he is ready for the job.
00:55:06.360 And so it is my honor
00:55:07.540 to say as a member
00:55:08.580 of the Republican Conference,
00:55:09.960 I am directed
00:55:10.640 by the vote of that conference
00:55:12.100 to present for the election
00:55:13.860 to the office of Speaker
00:55:15.040 of the House of Representatives
00:55:16.340 the name of my friend,
00:55:18.580 the Honorable Jim Jordan,
00:55:20.160 a representative
00:55:20.780 from the state of Ohio.
00:55:22.300 I yield back.
00:55:26.160 For War Room veterans,
00:55:28.020 you know we have been
00:55:29.060 all over the supply chain issue
00:55:30.820 with China
00:55:32.000 and medications
00:55:33.380 and the active
00:55:35.800 pharmaceutical ingredients.
00:55:37.560 China has a stranglehold on us 0.97
00:55:39.200 where there's a way
00:55:40.160 to break that.

00:55:49.460 and warned that
00:55:50.280 critical antibiotics
00:55:51.260 are in extreme short supply
