Alicia Keyser-Carroll has been awarded $83.3 million in damages for defamation and emotional harm caused by Donald Trump's statements about her in June of 2019. But what does this mean for the future of the Trump administration?
00:00:00.000Quite a few Republican members that are very concerned that the opportunity to pass what many would consider to be the most conservative border package in a generation,
00:00:10.700if they just allow that to go by the wayside because of presidential politics, would be a massive mistake.
00:00:16.520And it's not just that group of Republicans who aren't necessarily fans of Donald Trump who voted to impeach him.
00:00:22.060Even some of his closest supporters and allies have said that this is an opportunity that needs to be seized.
00:00:28.500Among them, Lindsey Graham, who I spoke to yesterday on this topic, and has said that he's talked to Donald Trump about why this package is necessary.
00:00:36.080And it would be good for him even if he were to win the presidential election because it would give him a set of tools that the executive branch currently doesn't have.
00:00:44.520So there is no doubt an existential crisis happening within the Republican Party.
00:00:49.500It's certainly happening on the Senate side.
00:00:51.140It's happening even more on the House side, where there are Republican members who would be inclined under any normal political environment to support a package like this,
00:01:00.300not just because of the border components, Katie, but also because of the foreign aid to Israel and Ukraine,
00:01:06.240but just are afraid to do so because of the political backlash that Donald Trump brings.
00:01:12.160And the fact that he is on the record now and very vocal about the idea that unless they get everything, they should just walk away and take nothing.
00:01:38.860Alicia, he is now reading the verdict.
00:01:42.400Question one, as I just reviewed with you, is did Ms. Carroll prove by preponderance of the evidence that E. Jean Carroll suffered more than nominal damages
00:01:54.080as a result of Trump's publication of the misstatements or the defamation on June 21st and June 22nd, 2019?
00:03:16.880I'm sorry, Mr. Trump acted with malice in making the first of those statements.
00:03:21.360That's the June 21st, 2019 statement at 5.17 p.m. in which he denied it for the first time.
00:03:27.320And similarly, we are waiting to hear whether in making that yes in June 22nd, 2019, he did also act maliciously or out of hatred or ill will in defaming her on that day.
00:03:40.580And here comes the punitive damages award of $65 million, Alicia.
00:03:44.640So $65 million in punitives, $11 million in the reputation repair program, and $7.3 million in reputation, I'm sorry, in the emotional harm for a total of $83.3 million.
00:04:56.100And further, this is also going to impact the ability to fund Iran, Ukraine, and Israel.
00:05:02.920Israel, if that does not happen, I mean, Republicans could own the failure of Ukraine in its war against Russia.
00:05:10.720Just as Joe Biden was justifiably blamed for the Afghanistan fiasco, Republicans will be blamed for what happens in Ukraine that empowers Vladimir Putin.
00:05:20.780So the politics of this are not good for the GOP.
00:05:23.260It's all being driven by a rump wing of the GOP, particularly in the House, that will not vote for any compromise deal.
00:05:32.640And frankly, what's happened is that that group has been given voice.
00:05:36.500They are allowed to prevail, even though their opinion is a minority of the whole Congress.
00:05:43.620Can you explain, leave the politics aside, can you explain why this deal is so significant,
00:05:48.480again, what this deal would do and why this is the opportunity to pass it?
00:05:52.920Well, we haven't seen text yet, Katie, but it appears they're going to make some significant changes to the asylum process, which is being abused.
00:06:00.940Most of these people who are showing up at the border are economic migrants.
00:06:06.120They need they need a better living condition, but they're not legitimate asylum cases.
00:06:11.340And I think that asylum reform is something that the GOP has been clamoring for.
00:06:15.280So they need to take this opportunity to get it done.
00:06:18.720It's not like as if Donald Trump, if he becomes president next year, that he'll be able to get a better deal.
00:06:24.380So the issue really becomes Republicans.
00:06:26.820Why wouldn't you take a significant win?
00:06:29.540Even if it's not everything you want, why not take it and celebrate that?
00:06:33.340They can still go criticize Joe Biden if they like, and he hasn't done enough.
00:06:36.840But right now they're putting themselves in such a horrible position because the substance of what's being advanced really is what the GOP has been asking.
00:06:46.120It's also what the American public has been asking for, reform at the border, because what's currently happening is not tenable.
00:06:52.160I also want to point out to our viewers that the New York attorney general in the civil fraud case across the street is asking for disgorgement of three hundred and seventy million dollars.
00:07:01.640If they award him, I'm sorry, if they award the attorney general three hundred and seventy million dollars over there.
00:07:07.880And he also has to pay eighty three point three million dollars to each and Carol that will wipe out the four hundred million dollars in cash that Trump has proclaimed he has.
00:07:17.440And many people doubt he has that much liquidity.
00:07:20.580What Trump is really dreading is a judgment in this case and the age case that would wipe out his cash that would force him to liquidate assets to be able to pay both of those judgments.
00:07:32.640That would really put the lie to his proclamations of endless wealth.
00:07:37.080That total. Let's talk about it, Katie. Eighty three point three million dollars.
00:10:54.900The asylum laws are not being enforced.
00:10:57.880Donald Trump can enforce the asylum laws at two seconds after high noon on the 20th of January, 2025.
00:11:07.180In addition, Mr. Bible Worldview Johnson, if you did a couple weeks ago and defund the government until they enforce the asylum laws, don't need any new laws.
00:12:34.300You've been traitors all along, collaborationist, as bad as the, as bad as the, the Quisling government in Norway, Kowtown to the Nazis or the Vici government in France.
00:16:42.960I think people are beginning to grasp.
00:16:45.100Once a formerly great state in New York, where both my parents were born and raised, once they fully embrace this woke, Marxist, fascist nonsense, you're not going to get justice.
00:16:57.420And this has nothing to do with settling any kind of grievance.
00:17:00.980This has to do with taking all the ready cash that Donald Trump might have and taking it away from him so he can't continue to be a candidate for president.
00:17:08.580And I believe this is a very coordinated thing.
00:17:11.760Somebody must be coordinating this because we now know that the White House counsel met with the boyfriend of Fonny down there in Georgia.
00:17:19.760The White House counsel's office seems to be a part of much of this.
00:17:22.920We know that DOJ has been running point for the Hunter Biden defense team and trying to give him sweetheart deals.
00:17:29.420And all this is about stopping Donald Trump.
00:17:32.400Now, how is all of that not campaigned expenditures?
00:17:35.400This is like this is like the Russian collusion dossier, which was a Hillary Clinton DNC deal.
00:17:40.980They they they they are explicitly using their power in a corrupt way.
00:17:46.080They're using our taxpayer money in a corrupt way to try to stop Trump in every conceivable way.
00:17:51.600And I'll just tell you, if you're listening to this and you're worth something south of eighty three million dollars, like all of us, almost all of us.
00:17:59.380This means that this weaponized government doesn't just intend to destroy your career and cancel you on social media.
00:18:06.460They mean to impoverish you and destroy any opportunity you have in the future.
00:18:11.420This is a this is a make it or break time for the United States of America.
00:18:15.480If these things continue to stand, all of this unconstitutional legal activity, we've got nothing left, Steve.
00:18:22.040I mean, it's run to the mountains, run to the catacombs time.
00:18:25.300And so this is this is a huge moment for us to stand up.
00:18:30.480And that's what CPAC. I talked about CPAC.
00:18:32.800You got a bunch of announcements to make, but this is end of the republic stuff that's happening right here.
00:18:37.440Couldn't be more timely. It's in about 30 days.
00:18:41.420Yeah, I think the first thing is we got to start highlighting the heroes who stand up to the abuses, the people that say I'm getting sued or I'm being prosecuted.
00:18:49.840I'm going to stand up. People like Brandon Strzok at the walkaway movement, what Julie Kelly has done chronicling all the abuses on J6.
00:18:57.140And now she's kind of focusing like a laser on all the abuses about Donald Trump, the parents, the teachers who've been fired or who've been cut out of the process.
00:20:46.920We've got the – the young people who work for me, Steve, have convinced me to start with low prices and move them up as we get closer.
00:20:52.460So we have a barbed-in basement price to get in the door if you're a student or you want to buy a general election ticket if you want to – or a general admission ticket.
00:21:02.200If you want to support our organization, which we really appreciate, there are other tickets as well.
00:21:07.480And I think the key is you and I have been talking like not just Donald Trump and who's going to be in his administration but also who's going to have this really important job of VP.
00:21:15.580I mean, I think we're all on the edge of our seat about that because the Pence thing didn't end up working out so good.
00:21:22.340This has got to make the right choice this time.
00:21:24.320I think you're going to hear from most of those people that we're talking about as potential VP picks.
00:21:30.160And I also think we've got to talk about this weaponization.
00:22:37.960I want to know what you think, what you think about that.
00:22:40.280Matt, listen, if most of the VP – all of them are going to show up, the legitimate, real candidates, your poll – are you going to do a poll that's a presidential poll or are you going to do a VP poll?
00:22:51.340We've got to ask, do you like the policies?
00:22:53.460Do you support the policies of President Trump?
00:22:55.080Because we've got to figure out if he gets up to like 98 or 99 or whatever.
00:22:58.420And then he can talk about what's wrong with the 1 percent.
00:23:01.280But I really think there are other questions behind that.
00:23:03.140Like we said, who's the fan's choice for VP?
00:23:06.120They're going to hear from most of them at CPAC who did the best job, who would you like to see on the ticket, who do you like in the House, who do you like in the Senate?
00:23:13.320I mean the Republican Party seems to do a pretty good job of disappointing us, but we've got some heroes in the House and in the Senate.
00:23:19.500And I think we ought to start having a beauty contest on who's actually doing the job that these people like.
00:23:27.200So it's a little bit of an audition, would you not say?
00:23:58.620We have a ton of people that we've already announced.
00:24:00.580We're making five or six big announcements a day, and I was just texting with someone who was not public, but someone everyone's going to be very happy about, which we're going to announce on Monday.
00:24:11.020We have this great pick, one of our speakers at the annual Reagan dinner, which you spoke out in the last year, Stephen.
00:24:17.460We have Bishop Strickland, who was fired by Pope Francis for being such a great advocate for the unborn and for marriage and gender.
00:24:29.880He's not going to give a political speech, but he was canceled by our church, and we're going to hear what he has to say and why he still has hope for the country.
00:26:32.920I also want to point out to our viewers that the New York Attorney General in the civil fraud case across the street is asking for disgorgement of $370 million.
00:26:41.680If they award him, I'm sorry, if they award the Attorney General $370 million over there, and he also has to pay $83.3 million to E.G. Carroll,
00:26:53.360that will wipe out the $400 million in cash that Trump has proclaimed he has, and many people doubt he has that much liquidity.
00:27:00.940What Trump is really dreading is a judgment in this case and the E.G.'s case that would wipe out his cash, that would force him to liquidate assets to be able to pay both of those judgments.
00:27:13.760That would really put the lie to his proclamations of endless wealth, Alicia.
00:27:18.820That total, let's talk about it, Katie, $83.3 million.
00:34:27.360The virulent conservative opposition to the bill has led some Republican senators to speculate about moving military for Ukraine without any attached border reforms,
00:35:00.800And they realize when you're calling and emailing, they realize you speak for tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands or millions of people in back of you.
00:39:53.580They opened the floodgates and invited them in.
00:39:57.140They want bigger markets here, more consumer spending by these folks, and, and by the way, they'll just give them the money from the government,
00:40:04.540and they want to crush the black and Hispanic working class with lower wages.
00:40:10.360As Brian Kennedy said today, this is not the replacement theory just for voters.
00:41:36.820This is the greatest turnaround and the greatest comeback, not just in modern political history, in all of the political history of this republic.
00:41:45.140This is one of the most historic times in this republic.
00:45:37.780We're going to have Todd Benzman with the director for, he's been talking to all his contacts today.
00:45:46.440There's going to be a confrontation down the border because the Texas folks and other people coming down there from other states, National Guard, other support from other governors, they're not backing off this thing.
00:46:43.400At the same time, they're telling a state that is protecting their sovereignty and their citizens by putting up razor wire, they can't do it, and they're going to come and cut it down and let the invaders through.
00:46:59.420Of course it doesn't make any sense, because the bill's phony.
00:47:11.040In fact, Ukraine is so corrupt, we've got to get and we must enforce the accountability, because Zelensky – I said this on British TV, and they melted down.
00:47:58.240They've led – but because of Brussels and the city of London and the party of Davos and guys like Blinken and Jake Sullivan and this crowd, they've led the Ukrainian people to their destruction.
00:48:08.760What did Jim Rickard say the other day?
00:50:22.640You guys, you absolutely take advantage of the big-ticket items like the MyPillow beds that MyPillow people make, 100% made in the USA, the MyPillow mattress toppers, all this stuff.
00:52:40.380For war room veterans, you know we have been all over this supply chain issue with China and medications and the active pharmaceutical ingredients.
00:52:51.920China has a stranglehold on us where there's a way to break that.
00:52:56.920I got an emergency medication kit from them.
00:52:59.420The FDA just declared a global shortage of medication and warned that critical antibiotics are in extreme short supply across the United States.
00:53:07.940But you know that because you're a viewer or listener of this show.
00:53:12.840Now, here's the action you can take to correct.
00:53:15.800Do yourself and your family a favor and get your Jace case right now.
00:53:20.100It's a pack of five prescription antibiotics you'll have on hand for common emergencies.
00:53:31.960Take a few minutes and fill out the form.
00:53:34.300Your information will be reviewed by a board-certified physician and your medication will be dispensed by a licensed pharmacy at a fraction of the regular cost.
00:53:45.040You'll be glad you have the Jace case.
