Colonel Cooperman's comments came as some billionaire Columbia donors are saying they rethinking their support of the school amid the protests, and Andrew joins the show to talk about the situation. Plus, a look at how the administration is responding to the protests.
00:01:39.900The ongoing political protests at Columbia over the Hamas-Israel war.
00:01:45.900Cooperman's comments came as some billionaire Columbia donors are saying they are rethinking their support of the school amid everything that is going on with the protests.
00:01:59.900So, Andrew, I agree with Mr. Cooperman.
00:02:03.900I think maybe they were a little slow to it.
00:02:08.900I know this will make nobody happy, but I think at Columbia, I think Columbia is a good example of where they're trying to do the right thing.
00:02:16.900Now, you know, it was Columbia where students took over, you know, during the Vietnam War, students took over the president's office and everybody thought that was so cool and so noble.
00:02:25.900Younger people like me grew up and they're like, what?
00:02:29.900What? I was always, you know, afraid to knock on the president of the university's door.
00:02:34.900There's nothing cool about anarchy and chaos on your college campuses.
00:02:40.900And I think sometimes these administrators, I don't know if they came straight from academia.
00:02:45.900I don't know what the problem is, but they're paid to be adults.
00:02:53.900They're paid to have an orderly environment where students can learn.
00:02:59.900So I think I think Mr. Cooperman may be right there that they're getting it better late than never.
00:03:05.900Well, look, you know, one of the things just happened today is they've just announced they've gone hybrid effectively for the rest of the semester as a way of dealing with it.
00:03:14.900Now, a lot of people said that means you're not controlling anything.
00:03:16.900I mean, you're effectively giving up. You're saying you can't control the situation.
00:03:20.900Now, maybe that's the practicality of of where we are.
00:03:23.900But I think there is a real question as to whether Columbia is handling this well.
00:03:28.900I think they're getting they're getting better at it, if you will.
00:03:31.900But, you know, that hasn't stopped Robert Kraft. Of course, you know, the owner of the Patriots came out.
00:03:38.900He's an alumnus and said that he is effectively not going to be giving them more money.
00:03:43.900And there's a whole number, by the way, of major billionaire donors on Wall Street and others who come from come from Columbia.
00:03:51.900You know, Warren Buffett, one of the probably the most famous alumni, he has not spoken out.
00:03:56.900I think there's a real debate as as to whether the donors should be trying to use their influence, not trying to use their influence.
00:04:02.900That's another piece of it. And so many of them, frankly, I know a bunch who would like to actually speak out, who say, you know what?
00:04:08.900I don't want to because I'm so scared that actually my employees will actually either turn against me on this issue or that my customers will turn against me on this issue.
00:04:17.900So there's a real sort of push pull going on here in terms of all of it.
00:04:24.900the mayor has a real good deal, but I think a lot of people will表現 the thing he has to make.
00:04:33.900They use a lot of political Präsident to make poleバイ马 in terms ofuba, that he is, he is important to understand what he is talking about,
00:04:39.900because Tom is nowピュuvian district and the君 of MissouriJズ and public publicity and immigration got resigned.
00:30:41.960Well, first thought is I'm looking at an illegal alien bus drive across right in front of me as we speak, heading over to the ICE office.
00:30:51.800So that's happening every single day down here.
00:30:53.940And the second part is this is you play that Hillary Clinton thing.
00:30:58.100Every time you play a Hillary Clinton piece, you should call that a gag order because the entire audience of the war room is throwing up in their mouth.
00:31:07.640These people are the exact thing that they claim.
00:31:11.680It's just like we're talking about at Columbia.
00:31:39.880She's laughing as she says that because she knows they are the ones that are doing that to the American people.
00:31:47.060Well, this is about the like the donors and others, these progressives that have been underwriting this mess and now realize is blowing back on you.
00:33:02.980This is why a lot I'm getting, as you can imagine, given some of the things you've seen in social media, I'm taking a lot of calls of people saying, Steve, you got to back off.
00:34:28.880The the commons in Columbia have the radical Sharia jihadists.
00:34:33.780Trump's a couple of blocks away, goes into Harlem.
00:34:35.980They're five and six deep people of color, five and six deep cheering for Trump because they know that in in 17, 18, particularly 19, we were at peace and prosperity and they were making a good living and could live.
00:34:49.880They understand that with all remember, they are inundated and bombarded 24 hours a day with nothing but Trump hate.
00:35:14.780Trump's not running against Mershani's running against Biden.
00:35:17.120And those people right there have his back and the enemies on the commons on the commons and in the faculty Senate and in the in the administration of Columbia University.
00:35:28.020And for Kraft and for Cooperman, turn your fire and purge the faculty, purge the faculty and purge and fire every administrator there that's tolerated this.
00:35:37.900You're not going to be safe until that happens because they want to destroy Israel and they want to destroy the Jews in America.
00:35:46.720And people better take this seriously because every day the cancer is not cut out.
00:35:53.240And the one guy that stood up for you is down there in the who's gal, quite frankly, supported by guys like you that supported all this madness, supported D.E.I.
00:36:02.080C.R.T., E.S.G., Larry Fink and that crowd.
00:36:23.180Ben Berkwan's been he's been from the Darien Gap where they start coming through all the way up through the cartel Tories and all the danger of the of the Rio Grande Valley.
00:36:31.840In South Texas, which Hispanic citizens are supporting Trump because they're sitting there going, I can't take anymore.
00:36:37.740Just like the people in Harlem, they can't take it anymore.
00:36:41.100They're being destroyed as citizens of this country.
00:36:43.860And Trump's the one person that stood up for him.
00:36:46.300And Hillary Clinton all puffed up like Jabba the Hutt.
00:37:19.760The the real mafia in America today is the Bar Association.
00:37:22.380And you have as American citizens, general American public have no recourse.
00:37:27.260You are eaten by the machine and these guys are used and these D.A.'s are used to protect these demons, these vipers that are on these college campuses.
00:37:36.440If we don't deal with this right now as a nation, these guys are going to take this country over and you're not going to be able to deal with it.
00:37:42.580You're going to have to deal with them screaming at you.
00:37:44.500You're going to have to deal with them calling you names.
00:37:46.200You're going to have to deal with them attacking you.
00:37:47.680And we have to say, shut up, sit down.
00:38:11.680There was no necessity for him to come back.
00:38:13.600He had the courage to come back after they stole the election from him and tried to destroy his presidency and came back to destroy his business and put him in prison.
00:38:23.060And for doing that, they're trying to put him in prison for 700 years.
00:38:26.360This is why we either take care of this now or the country is going to be over.
00:39:28.640When you talk about it, you highlighted the fact the legal immigrants that came in, the interviews I got yesterday from people from Colombia, from India, from Africa, from China.
00:39:36.760All legal immigrants that are on the Trump side.
00:39:39.100Wait till you see these interviews versus the radical, deranged left that hate this country and hate you and hate the society that has given the prosperity that we have to the world.
00:40:31.020If Real America's Voice can get it up.
00:40:33.080What was bugging me were these beautiful state flags, these beautiful state flags that talk so much about America, just artistically classical and beautiful, being replaced by these things that were so hideous and so ugly.
00:40:47.720And they had – there was something bugging me about it that I just couldn't put my finger on.
00:40:53.340And then your article came out today about the stars.
00:40:56.040I'm going to take it – I've got three minutes here.
00:40:57.600We're going to hold you through the break.
00:40:59.040Walk me through this article of yours, this piece of what Donna Bergstrom's analysis and yours is telling us.
00:41:06.520So, as of now, 17 cities and states have either approved a new flag or have proposed a new flag design, erasing the five-point American star and replacing it with an eight-point Islamic symbol.
00:42:28.060The eight-point octagon is featured in Iranian military intelligence flags in Tehran, in the Turkish – Turkic states, as well as Azerbaijan.
00:42:41.360This is prevalent throughout Islamic art, culture, and history, the eight-point octagon.
00:42:48.400And our flags are being replaced, and they are featuring the eight-point octagon.
00:42:57.500I've got a former Marine, a lieutenant colonel, who's going to join us.
00:43:00.860Jackie Torberoff and Lieutenant Colonel Donna Bergstrom retire.
00:43:05.240She's now deputy chair of the Republican Party of the great state of Minnesota.
00:43:09.700They're going to come back to us after the break.
00:43:12.120Until that time – I've worked a long time.
00:43:14.400In fact, we're a couple of weeks late, if you remember, on the end of the dollar empire, the fifth free installment, the end of economic freedom.
00:43:21.880We start talking about fiat currency, particularly the central bank digital currency.
00:43:26.120And we compare and contrast why the central banks of the world are buying gold at record rates.
00:43:31.940Why the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States does two things.
00:43:35.440They either monetize – they either print money to monetize the debt, or they're working on a central bank digital currency that can track every tiny thing you do.
00:43:59.360The apples in your holiday pie taste amazing, but it's not exactly the recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables.
00:44:07.360The Mayo Clinic says if you want to help prevent heart disease, lower blood pressure, and your cholesterol, eat five servings of fruits and vegetables every day, which, as you know, is almost impossible.
00:44:19.060That's why you need to check out Field of Greens.
00:44:21.340Every fruit and vegetable in Field of Greens was medically selected by doctors to support your vital organs,
00:44:27.760like your heart, your lungs, your kidneys, and your immune system.
00:44:31.800Yo, folks, the holidays are here, and you need to stay healthy.
00:44:35.180Plus, you'll notice your skin, hair, and nails will look healthier.
00:44:39.020Field of Greens is the simplest way to get those daily fruits and veggies, and it tastes amazing.
00:44:44.780Let me get you started with 15% off your first order.
00:45:23.100You've been on top of this for a while.
00:45:27.120What had struck me, what I couldn't figure out was why were states like Utah and Minnesota, and they have these magnificent state flags that they've had for over 100 years.
00:45:39.600All of a sudden, why are we getting all these weird designs?
00:45:42.080And the designs were bugging me, and it wasn't until I read Jackie's piece based upon your research that I realized that star was bugging me, and I was starting to see it everywhere.
00:45:53.160Walk me through what – why did you come up with this?
00:45:56.160What led you to this, and what does this mean?
00:45:58.100Well, thank you, Steve, for having me on, and thank you for having this conversation today.
00:46:04.900I appreciate Jacqueline reaching out to me and getting us in this conversation.
00:46:09.300I will say to you that our legislators back in 2023 passed guidance that allowed the governor and others to appoint 13 members to change the flag, which they said was needing to be changed because it was racist and out of date.
00:46:30.140It was one of the legislative policy changes that were happening so quickly in our legislators that it sort of flew under the radar.
00:46:38.720But once we got our eyes on it, the chairman of the Republican Party, David Han and myself, took a look at the legislation, and we said, why are we changing this flag?
00:46:49.480It's the flag that we – primarily the same design that we used in the Civil War when Minnesota was fighting in our Civil War, and it's got beautiful history to it.
00:47:01.720For myself as a veteran, I look at that flag, and I see our history, our commitment to this nation.
00:47:08.360As a Native American, I look at that, and I see myself on there as a Native American.
00:47:13.000Some argue that it's the Native American writing off in defeat.
00:47:16.240I say it's a Native American sharing the land with our immigrant culture here, our insignificant dates on there.
00:47:22.960There's so much history and culture in that flag that it just struck us as very odd why this would have to fly under the radar.
00:47:32.080It just really became very curious to us.
00:47:34.700Why are we changing the flag in this way?
00:47:37.580Why aren't we giving Minnesotans a voice, letting our legislators help us design the flag or vote on the new flag change?
00:47:45.080And so, again, you start down these culture – cancel culture rabbit holes, and you soon find out there's just a lot more to it than what's at the surface.
00:47:56.420And so, what I think the legislators sort of hid under this blanket of, oh, it's a racist and odd-of-date flag really had a lot more to it.
00:48:05.800And I really don't want to take any credit for any of the background research because I think the article really was Jacqueline in promoting this.
00:48:14.820And what we have found out, though, consequently, the state of Minnesota, is that we've had other communities and states and organizations reach out to us and say, we're having the same thing happen in our state.
00:48:29.700Do you know why we're canceling culture?
00:48:31.620Do you know why we're erasing people such as the Native American from our flags and this beautiful history that we have in our flag culture?
00:48:40.800And so, you start going down this rabbit hole and you realize, I think there's something more to it.
00:48:49.220But truly, if this is what's going to be shaping our American culture going forward, I would think that it's just fair that we have a conversation about it, that we let people know these are some things that we're noticing.
00:49:01.500And where is it that we can step in and change it, stop it, or absolutely just make people aware of it?
00:49:12.280This article, there are no coincidences.
00:49:13.920But I want to go back and use Minnesota particularly as an example.
00:49:17.980When you go back to the Civil War, Minnesota sent such incredible manpower into the Civil War for what was then, I think, the most far western state, at least until I think Nevada was brought in because of the silver mines in 1863 or something.
00:49:35.420But Minnesota, you're about as far away from the action as you could.
00:49:38.600And you've sent tens of thousands of volunteers down there.
00:49:42.000That flag, tell me, how did it exactly, you said it was behind the cover of night, was the legislature not part of this?
00:49:49.540Did it not bring in people, average citizens, to comment on the beauty and historical nature of the original flag and then give design things?
00:49:58.180Because the flag, the things that's replaced these flags or proposed to replace these flags are so god-awful.
00:50:04.840It's kind of mind-boggling that they could be used as alternatives for really, your flag is a work of art.
00:50:12.320How could they have taken a work of art and come up with those?
00:50:14.960Can you just take a minute and just walk us through what the process was?
00:50:18.820Yeah, and that's, you know, Class A head scratcher, as we say in the Marine Corps.
00:50:22.680I don't know how they came up with this.
00:50:24.760And they wrote the legislation in a way that said in 2024, if nobody brings a proposal to change it or there's such language like that, that it will become the flag.
00:50:36.320So it was a negative approval instead of a positive approval.
00:50:39.560And if you know, here in Minnesota, the Democrat, which we call the Democratic Farm and Labor Party, the DFL, controls the House, the Senate, and the governor's mansion.
00:50:50.620So what happened was they're not going to allow, even if we did try to bring legislation forward that said we don't want to change our flag in this way, they are not going to allow us to do that.
00:51:01.860So really what, just backing up and to answer your question, the legislation was passed that there would be a commission, a state flag commission put together.
00:51:11.700Governor got to appoint some folks and some of our other commissions appointed folks.
00:51:17.440We had two minority members, Senator Steve Jaskowski and Representative Byron Olson, who were on there, and they were not allowed to vote.
00:51:28.360Our Secretary of State was also on the commission, who is a Democrat.
00:51:32.760And so it seemed really pretty stacked against us.
00:51:36.140And again, it was a negative approval that if nobody brought objection to it, that it was going to become the state flag on May 11th.
00:51:43.220And that, again, how do we get this changed?
00:52:04.540And we're really asking people to contact their legislators in the state of Minnesota and even the governor and say, we don't like what we're seeing here.
00:52:12.260We want to have a flag that represents Minnesota in a way that represents what Minnesotas are thinking at this time.
