Former Trump White House advisor Peter Navarro has been released from prison after serving 4 months in prison for contempt of Congress, and joins us to discuss what the future holds for Donald Trump and the Republican Party if he s elected president in 2020.
00:08:33.140This convention is, first of all, the energy is off the charts.
00:08:37.400And I remember in 2016, as literally President Trump's very first supporter, as far as I know, outside of his own family.
00:08:46.460I was literally with him day one when he came down that escalator and went on Fox and other networks talking about how he wasn't just going to be the nominee.
00:08:57.700And I was pretty much the only one out there saying this.
00:09:00.360So for me personally, this journey over the last nine years, watching this man come out of nowhere, having never done any of this before, this journey of just astonishing the world in 2016.
00:09:16.360And then having an incredibly successful powerhouse first term, delivering for the forgotten men and women, delivering for the American people.
00:09:26.880Robust economy, enforced border, law and order, and world peace.
00:09:31.320And as I always say, I don't know what the American people expect or want from an American president beyond that.
00:09:38.140So to watch this journey to now, we are really witnessing the greatest political comeback in American political history.
00:09:48.280And, Cash, you'll recall that my very first boss out of college, and I'm sure many of you guys know this as well, was former President Richard Nixon.
00:09:59.120I worked with him during the last years of his life.
00:10:01.440And up until Donald Trump, Richard Nixon had the greatest American political comeback from 1960, where that election was stolen from Richard Nixon.
00:10:13.460And if you want to talk about stolen elections, we can do that.
00:10:16.320But then he came back in 1968 and then won again in 1972 in an historic landslide.
00:10:22.180He held the claim to the greatest comeback until now.
00:10:25.520And so what you are seeing unfold is true history here at this convention and going forward to the election.
00:10:33.280And I think what we saw last night was remarkable, Cash, because you saw a parade of his former political rivals, like Mickey Haley and Governor Ron DeSantis, making extraordinary speeches, backing President Trump, talking about how necessary his leadership is going to be for the future.
00:10:50.860Yeah, I think, you know, so look, you have way more experience in the conventions than I do.
00:11:05.600You know, being a sports guy my entire life, going to sporting events and being in arenas like this one here in Milwaukee, you get some pretty electric atmospheres.
00:11:13.800But I have never seen anything like we've been seeing the last couple of nights when President Trump walks in.
00:11:19.860It was like every sporting championships game seven combined in one place plus some.
00:11:25.660And then the substance of what was said last night, whether, you know, what I found most moving, I agree with you totally, that to see the president's former adversaries come in and unify behind him.
00:11:35.200I don't think there's any other person that could have gotten that kind of unity from across the political spectrum.
00:11:39.600And to come in and genuinely address America and say we are behind Donald Trump, it was pretty powerful.
00:11:45.000But what was moving to me and even brought me to tears was the mothers and the fathers that spoke last night.
00:11:51.260The mother who spoke about losing her daughter to opioid, to fentanyl.
00:12:06.700And that's why she turned to President Trump to say, you've stopped it before and you must stop it again.
00:12:10.840And then another moving speech from last night was the mother from New York who talked about Alvin Bragg's office, our home in New York, whose child was murdered and they let two of the perpetrators go and they basically gave time served to the other two perpetrators.
00:12:28.680I mean, we're talking about a murder of a child who was a he was an adult when he was murdered, but he was an Afghan war veteran, was killed on the streets of New York.
00:12:38.540And the people that they held accountable, Alvin Bragg, sentenced them to less prison time than basically you get for stealing at the grand larceny level.
00:12:49.800I found that I've always said their weapon of choice is the two tier system of justice.
00:12:55.100And I found that so powerful and so resonating.
00:12:58.460And I think many Americans did the same.
00:13:01.640Yeah, you know, whenever you see conventions and you see regular Americans take to the podium, it's always incredibly moving because these stories are authentic.
00:13:12.660They're not done for political purposes.
00:13:17.360These people came forward and said, I want to speak and share my story so all of America knows the grave danger that we are in from my personal pain, from my personal experience.
00:13:30.240So both mothers who lost their sons, pardon me, are that kind of emotional kind of story grabs the American people.
00:13:41.100They're not political speeches because they're not political people.
00:13:44.340They're sharing with the country their own personal experiences as a direct result of the collapse of law and order, the collapse of support for law enforcement under this catastrophic presidency.
00:13:57.060And the wide open border, of course, which is allowing fentanyl to come in in droves.
00:14:02.040It originates in China, as you will now, the precursor drugs.
00:14:05.660Then it goes to the cartels on the border.
00:14:09.360It's widely distributed in this country.
00:14:11.380And it is killing well over 100,000 of our friends, family and neighbors.
00:14:16.920And these two women showed enormous courage.
00:14:20.060And I think the average American who might be sitting on the fence, although I don't know any because I mean, and certainly not after this weekend.
00:14:28.860Nobody should be sitting on the fence because I think most Americans understand the perilous moment that we're in.
00:14:35.460I think we're cutting to a commercial break here.
00:14:37.100We're going to dive into what's coming ahead of the next two days of the RNC, President Trump's speech, J.D. Vance, of course, the vice president's nominee.
00:14:44.960We're going to talk about the media's explosion or implosion regarding J.D. Vance, how he's somehow now public enemy number one when he's really been one of the greatest conservatives in Congress.
00:16:06.040Go to birchgold.com slash Bannon and get your free info kit on gold IRA.
00:16:12.300Some of the people that are endorsing Trump, and I've had conversations with these people, smart, educated people who know that he represents chaos and instability and all kinds of things that aren't good for this country, just to name a few.
00:16:25.180They say to me, well, he said all that stuff last time.
00:16:29.480So the rationalization going on by an intellectual class that is bending the knee to this guy, and there's a bunch of them bent their knee today that know better.
00:16:39.680But they say, oh, all that stuff he says.
00:17:06.660And this is literally, apparently, Tucker Carlson called the former president and said, if you pick one of these neocons, one of these old-school Republicans, the deep state's going to come after you.
00:17:16.340And so they believe their own BS, apparently, enough about that, like insane conspiracy theory, that that's why J.D. is on the ticket.
00:17:25.920Well, back here at the War Room at Milwaukee, the RNC, Cash Patel and Monica Crowley.
00:17:30.360Of course, we are going to be talking about President Trump's phenomenal choice for Vice President J.D. Vance.
00:17:36.960And Monica is going to break it down for us in a second.
00:17:39.500But I don't know if the rest of y'all were watching the mainstream media melt down after President Trump picked J.D. Vance.
00:17:46.620What that tells me is he got it right.
00:17:48.840He got it more than right because they are imploding and they are running scared and making up stories about J.D.'s past and what he might do to America.
00:17:57.460When it's pretty crystal clear that J.D., for me, has been the biggest proponent of America first in the United States Senate.
00:18:05.740And I think the swamp does not like the fact that he's been so aggressively anti-funding the Ukraine's war until we take care of America, which I love.
00:18:14.240But I know those are some of the things that he's going to get attacked for.
00:18:17.120But Monica, what do you think J.D. Vance brings?
00:18:56.880And that's another reason why the left is melting down, because this is a giant money laundering operation for them, making billions of dollars out of this conflict.
00:19:06.880And they're really concerned that J.D. Vance is going to shut off the spigot as is President Trump.
00:19:17.820J.D. Vance came out of abject poverty, like in the backhills of America, and out of sheer ambition, hard work, commitment, grit, courage, pulled himself out of that situation and environment to end up going to Yale to then becoming an incredibly successful venture capitalist.
00:19:41.300Capitalist being a critical word here.
00:19:43.880President Trump and J.D. Vance are capitalists.
00:20:13.700But it is particularly delicious to see them go after J.D. Vance, who has been so hugely successful, and what he is going to do for this country.
00:20:22.460You know, I tweeted the other day when President Trump made the choice.
00:20:28.540And so all of the America first agenda that President Trump put in place in the first term, a booming economy through a pro-growth economic agenda, an enforced border, law and order and world peace.
00:20:41.760J.D. Vance is going to be right by his side executing all of that.
00:20:45.800And I think that's why President Trump selected J.D., because he's going to carry the mantle and carry the mandate that President Trump has built the last 10 years on into the White House and into the next generation of political leadership.
00:20:59.900And I think it's extremely important that he got it right and he nailed it.
00:21:04.080And what most Americans don't know is that there's still 114 days to the election.
00:21:10.040So we still got to work our tails off.
00:21:11.840They still got to go out and campaign.
00:21:13.300They still got to go out and fundraise.
00:21:14.920They still got to win, win, win as President Trump said.
00:21:18.020So what does a J.D. Vance do between now and then?
00:21:39.660Elon Musk, right after the assassination attempt, announced not only his endorsement of President Trump, but $45 million per month between now and November.
00:21:52.300I mean, finally, we have billionaires on our side willing to step up and put their money into saving America.
00:21:59.160All of the left's billionaires like Soros, et cetera, they've been doing this a long time.
00:22:03.580Our billionaires always wanted to see an ROI monetarily, not in terms of actually saving the country.
00:22:09.980Musk is like, my ROI will see Donald Trump elected and turning this country around and restored.
00:22:16.480So I think Vance, in terms of donors, excellent.
00:22:19.920But I also think because he's from the Midwest, Cash, he's out of Ohio, I think what the campaign is going to do is park J.D. Vance in the Midwest from now until November.
00:22:33.020So this is what I think they're going to do.
00:22:34.860So they're going to take this child of the Midwest and move him into Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin.
00:22:41.980Maybe Monica Crowley should be calling the shots.
00:22:44.180I'm available and I'm giving it to y'all for free today and on my own podcast.
00:22:50.440But I think that's what they're going to do because the geography of the map, you know, essentially they're going to be running regional contests rather than a national presidential campaign.
00:23:01.340This is going to be broken down into regional campaigns all the way down to counties because we have about 30 swing state counties that are going to actually decide this election.
00:23:13.100So Musk is taking all of his money, pouring it into those counties in those swing states for early voting and ballot harvesting and things like that to match the Democrats.
00:23:24.280And then Vance, I think, is going to go directly into particularly those Midwest areas.
00:23:28.800It sounds like an extremely methodical decision by President Trump.
00:23:33.980It wasn't the McCain knee jerk reaction or the Romney selection of vice president.
00:23:38.740I mean, President Trump used I thought some of my former boss and current boss's brilliance was that he utilized the American public to do part of the vetting form.
00:23:47.240It wasn't a private selection in terms of who was on the list.
00:25:01.980But when you're talking about running a regional presidential campaign, like in 30 little areas, a guy like J.D. Vance, when those mostly, I mean, we also have races in to look at counties to look at in Nevada and Arizona, outside of the Midwest that are going to be critical.
00:25:20.640But that whole industrial Rust Belt, I mean, he is a child of that.
00:25:25.980And so that is the election, especially Pennsylvania, but also the state we're sitting in, Wisconsin, Michigan.
00:25:32.700J.D. Vance is going to be critical in terms of talking to the forgotten men and women in that whole area and freeing President Trump up to go into other areas like Georgia, like Arizona, like Nevada, other critical areas.
00:25:47.520Well, look, from my home state of Nevada and for a guy who's new to this entire sort of political landscape campaign atmosphere, I just think Monica Crowley outlined exactly what should be done.
00:25:59.120So if you're gambling on this back in Vegas where Donald Trump is not going to tax your tips, then you should lay down the marker on what Monica Crowley just told you.
00:26:06.540You should definitely follow her podcast and watch her show and everything she's writing on Twitter because this has been the biggest learning lesson for me on how campaigns are run.
00:26:14.860I mean, when you come to these events, I think this is the cool thing about it, right?
00:26:17.860We obviously talk all the time, but we don't get to spend this kind of time together in this kind of atmosphere.
00:26:22.680And you really see people come through that are genuine, right?
00:26:27.660And you see the fake people kind of shifted over to the side.
00:26:36.200And it's just been a wild, wild scene for me.
00:26:38.760Even just going to the donor rooms and the suites and the skyboxes last night, I saw people that I never thought I'd see here talking about J.D.
00:26:47.280and talking about how is President Trump going to put him into play.
00:26:51.800And so I think what you've just done is a brilliant roadmap.
00:26:54.820So we have to make sure we follow what you're doing every single day.
00:29:15.840Government gangsters are the group of individuals, career bureaucrats, who have been installed by what we call the deep state into every agency and department in the United States government.
00:29:28.400Had Donald Trump not won in 2016, he would not have exposed the flank of the deep state and their weapon of choice, the two-tier system of justice.
00:29:36.060From Russiagate to Hunter Biden's laptop to Joe Biden's classified documents case to January 6th to the 51 Intel letter and everything in between.
00:31:48.340But this is really the penultimate of bringing all of these stories together.
00:31:52.380And, of course, we couldn't have done it without Government Gangsters, the book,
00:31:56.080as an infrastructure to kind of like weed it out.
00:31:59.160And, of course, Cash did amazing work at his investigations in Russiagate and creating the Nunes memo.
00:32:04.440But what we wanted to do was create a thread that showed very specific examples of how the deep state attacked Donald Trump over and over and over again.
00:32:14.740And when they failed at this thing, they moved to the next thing.
00:32:17.140When they failed at this thing, they moved to the next thing.
00:32:19.120And the crazy thing is that half the time you don't know who these people are.
00:32:23.340And if you think about it, most of the people that we are talking about are out of office.
00:32:26.760They have cushy jobs in the private sector.
00:32:30.480And now there's new people that we don't know.
00:32:32.520And so it's important for the American people to know that these people are out there, that these people have vast resources, and they have no accountability.
00:32:40.160So, you know, when you say that the people come and go, what the critical point about all of this is the institutions remain.
00:32:48.120So the people come in and out of the FBI and the DOJ and the CIA, but the rot in the institution remains, right?
00:32:57.520So, again, people come and go, but the agenda, the dark, sinister agenda, which is not for America or the American people, remains.
00:33:04.760Can you talk about institutionally your approach to this, taking on these massive institutions that have become so out of control and powerful?
00:33:14.060Well, you know, I mean, you're always a little frightened.
00:33:16.420I mean, if you think about it, James Comey is fired, and in comes Chris Wray.
00:33:25.400And actually, yeah, a really interesting thing about the film is one of the things we did is when we did our interview, I would say, hey, Cash, give me the Wikipedia bio on all these people.
00:33:36.580Not these people are bad, but just tell me what they are.
00:33:39.440And it's so-and-so came into government and did X, and then he did Y, and then he did this, and then he did that, and then he did this, and then there he is.
00:33:46.420And what happens is this happens, I think, maybe eight times in the film.
00:33:49.820You start realizing, oh, like these guys have just been bouncing around this system, and this guy is one, he's a judge here, and he's, you know, like Mayor Garland.
00:33:57.440He's this, and then he's that, and he's this administration, that administration.
00:34:00.080And you realize there's like eight people that have been bouncing around the system, accumulating power, accumulating influence, and then when it comes time to get to their pinnacle point, they have all of the cards, and they can play them any way they want.
00:34:15.140So, you know, I've always honed in on, and Cash, you can chime in on this too, on Peter Strzok as the perfect example, because you've got the high-profile guys like John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey.
00:34:28.340But isn't it really the shadowy figures that are not household names that are actually executing what Comey and Joe Biden want out of these institutions?
00:34:41.760You're absolutely right, and this goes to a point that Matthew and I were talking to off-camera.
00:34:46.600You know, he made the final selections, I think he made the right ones, about the eight top tier we wanted to highlight, because there's only so much you can pack into one movie, right?
00:34:58.640The government gangsters at the top can't operate without the armada that they have and the legions they have in the lower levels.
00:35:06.500And in my book, I literally have a glossary of government gangsters by alphabetical order, because there's that many.
00:35:13.260And, you know, folks like Peter Strzok and Andy McCabe, who should be right at the top of the list, even those guys were superseded in corruption by others.
00:35:22.640And the question I have for Matthew is, you know, because we would actually get into fun arguments about that.
00:35:26.920I don't want that person. I want that person.
00:35:31.080How did you determine who's in and who's out for now, and we'll leave the rest of the future?
00:35:36.500Well, again, I wanted to establish clear narrative, because the other thing is, and I learned this in the Clinton years, is operations are designed to be hard to understand.
00:35:47.180This person goes here and does that and hires that person through this person, et cetera, et cetera.
00:35:51.460And you go, well, I can't understand this.
00:35:53.500So I would sit down and weed through the story, right, and say, like, the impeachment is actually very confusing to understand because of Eric Sharmella.
00:36:01.080And you have to understand, like, he wanted whistleblower status and this and this works and that works, and he goes to Vindman.
00:36:07.360So ultimately what I did is I narrowed it down to people who either did certain things or represent certain things.
00:36:14.660And Victoria Nuland is there to represent the nameless bureaucrat.
00:36:42.460You know what was remarkable is over the last couple of days since the assassination attempt on President Trump, and by God's grace, he is still with us.
00:36:50.900But CNN had up Clapper and Andrew McCabe as their voices.
00:36:58.140And I kid you not, you guys probably didn't see, but they were talking about how the assassination attempt could have been a foreign influence operation, like a foreign attempt every month.
00:37:19.540I'm concerned about these people who are not household names, who are moving in the shadows, totally unaccountable, not elected in any way.
00:37:27.640And are they getting their orders from the top?
00:37:31.080In other words, C.R. Mella and Vindman, were they told when President Trump came in, keep your eye out for anything that might have a whiff of something that might be wrong, morally, legally, ethically, whatever the case might be.
00:37:48.300And then they stumble on something, and they immediately take it to their hair's up.
00:39:54.340And one of the things I really liked about your book was that it says that, like, most of these people who work in the government are actually just doing their job.
00:40:01.980And they're, you know, they're not all bad.
00:40:04.760But there are a couple of these bad people.
00:40:05.640Monica was one of the good ones in there.
00:40:40.260Because the thing is, is the CIA, and actually one of the things we actually had to cut from the film was the NSA wire, allowing the White House to be wiretapped.
00:40:49.640Damn it, he just told me this, and he's doing it on national TV.
00:48:29.760And that's what everything's starting to change, the mindset.
00:48:32.340And the union workers, like I said, we have great unions out in Nevada.
00:48:35.660They put me in office when I was a city councilman and mayor pro tem.
00:48:39.800But more importantly, they're understanding now that you actually have someone that's coming back to the White House that cares about the working men and women.
00:48:46.820And for so long, the Democrats keep trying to throw this blade up there, blade up there.
00:50:30.800But it really goes to show that whether it's Merrick Garland or Jack Smith or the U.S. attorneys in your case, that they're all so deeply corrupt.
00:50:41.020And the point is that they know that there is no case.
00:50:44.060Jack Smith knows there is no January 6th case or documents case.
