In this episode of the podcast, I sit down with Mark Beckman, founder of Some Future Day, a major new book about artificial intelligence, and Joe Allen, a professor of economics at NYU, to talk all things AI and the future of the technology sector.
00:07:02.240You're a very smart guy, dialed in everywhere.
00:07:05.680We've made—we basically in Obama and Biden, not so much Trump because we weren't there that long.
00:07:11.520But the Obama administration and the Obama administration and the Biden administration, the kind of overlords, sociopathic overlords of the Democratic Party, made a deal with the apartheid state in Silicon Valley to say, guys, we will let you become the wealthiest people on earth, and we will let you have monopolistic power.
00:08:08.360And yet here we are, and correct me if I'm wrong, you have on social media with TikTok, you have something much more sophisticated than what we have.
00:08:17.520And if you believe at least what the last 24 hours said, you have something radically cheaper, easier to use, and can overwhelm the market of open AI, etc.
00:08:28.480So the deal we made with these guys was terrible because they didn't deliver, sir.
00:08:56.120That clip from Morning Joe is kind of ridiculous in my mind because China's investing trillions of dollars behind energy, compute, and technology to compete with these American entities, to compete with Google.
00:09:11.220And you're going to see it right here, right now.
00:09:13.940So most people are going to use DeepSeek, probably the producer that you were talking about, for search purposes.
00:09:20.660Most will not use it for API purposes.
00:09:23.780And for search, that's where they're getting all of our data.
00:09:26.160That's where it's going to be connected to all of our phones, all of our computers, exactly the way that you're articulating or seeing TikTok playing out on American citizens' devices, where their data can be collected.
00:09:39.340We'll see the same thing here with DeepSeek.
00:09:42.260And, of course, because they're undercutting the market, people will use it.
00:09:55.120Tell me about Some Future Day, your book, because you have warnings in there, and it's very even-handed.
00:10:03.120But correct me if I'm wrong, you see more upside.
00:10:05.420My concern with AI right now is that we could be looking over the abyss.
00:10:11.480And if we don't watch ourselves, and essentially we have 11-year-olds, the maturity of 11-year-olds, young boys in Silicon Valley making these massive decisions for the entire country and therefore the world.
00:10:31.480And I created, I wrote the book, Some Future Day, so beginners can figure out how they can leverage the technology to their benefit in their career, for their families, and for cities.
00:10:44.640However, Steve, like you, there are some real concerns.
00:10:47.040Like, for example, with privacy, I get into this in Some Future Day.
00:10:51.220Are you aware that facial recognition software is already being used in a small amount of cases by the Miami Police Department?
00:11:18.100I mean, artificial intelligence, as it relates to cyber attacks coming into the United States, is seriously daunting.
00:11:27.720I think we heard just recently the former director of the FBI or the CIA mentioned the fact that there are sleeper cells, Chinese sleeper cells, in the United States.
00:11:40.540But here in New York City, they're receiving billions of cyber attacks driven through the use of artificial intelligence against the infrastructure.
00:11:49.100And since we have a decentralized economy where the private sector is running our hospitals, our water supply, and beyond, it's much more difficult for New York City to defend itself than it might be, for example, when we go and attack into places like China, into Iran, where they have a centralized vision.
00:12:08.600So the fact is that my book is good at getting people into AI for their careers if they are into fashion, finance, sports, military.
00:12:21.200There's an awesome section with regards to the evolution of war, specifically as it relates to drones.
00:12:27.280I think your audience would love that section in particular.
00:12:57.660It was right on top of the inaugural period.
00:13:00.680So we're starting to get our act together now.
00:13:03.340But if you follow me, at Mark Beckman, M-A-R-C-B-E-C-K-M-A-N, on all platforms, you'll be able to see where we're going and what's going on in the space.
00:13:19.840It's a tool, and it's a reality in finance.
00:13:23.060It's a reality in fashion, sports, media.
00:13:27.320I think it's Axios is turning over their regional – they're going to start these regional – you know, Axios, like Nebraska, Axios, Denver.
00:13:58.940I'm going back to Texas to speak at the end of February in the Fort Worth area, Tarrant County.
00:14:06.160I think we had over 1,000 people at the dinner on Saturday night, these great patriots from Denton, Texas, tons of people in the precinct strategy.
00:14:18.180So proud of you guys, what you've done.
00:14:21.020We're going to break down – there's something not right in Texas with this situation with these 32 Republicans voting for the Democrats.
00:14:27.900And all the reports coming out that we are – you know, that we have the chairmanships of all the committees and that covers up what's really happening.
00:14:37.300I was able to spend time with General Paxton, Attorney General Paxton, one of the great, great, great Americans out there.
00:14:42.980Okay, we're going to stay on this situation because there's something up here, folks.
00:18:06.360And Joe is going to be, we had Joe on assignment.
00:18:08.800We're still working through that assignment.
00:18:11.020But there's so much going on in the world of technology.
00:18:13.780There's so much going on in the world, particularly not just AI, but the singularity.
00:18:18.860Which I warned the people about in Denton, Texas.
00:18:23.820And I gave kind of my typical fire-breathing speech beforehand.
00:18:26.760I'm banging on the podium and people are standing up and cheering on certain occasions.
00:18:32.460And those Texans are ready for a fight.
00:18:34.360But then I finished talking about this issue we're talking about right now and about the singularity and how important it is and how this is really one of the hinge moments in history about this.
00:18:46.000We're saving our republic and therefore saving the world.
00:18:50.920And in most times in history, that would be something that the age would be defined by.
00:18:58.140But there's something underneath and deeper about the convergence of all these technologies and what it means for homo sapien and, let's be blunt, homo sapien plus.
00:19:09.680And you are at the tip of the spear in this fight.
00:19:12.560This audience is so much more sophisticated about this because for four years, we've had a guy like Joe Allen here every week giving amazing analysis and observations.
00:19:24.340And then writing it is still, I think, the best book about this.
00:19:29.780Joe, last night, you and I have been all over the weekend talking to each other.
00:19:35.340First off, explain exactly what is going on.
00:19:38.500And is this the Sputnik moment of the wake-up call for American on the technology side and the AI side?
00:19:45.520Or is this a very sophisticated CCP PSYOP, sir?
00:19:49.840Well, Steve, I think it's a bit of both.
00:19:54.420At this point, the media is so flooded with conflicting information that it's impossible not to see it as multiple PSYOPs.
00:20:05.100I mean, at this point, PSYOP has come to almost just be a synonym for advertisement or messaging.
00:20:11.000What happened was that the Chinese company DeepSeek released their large language model, R1.
00:20:20.880They open-sourced it, which means that you can look at and alter the code.
00:20:27.220You can download it and put it on your own computer.
00:20:30.480But more alarmingly, when they released it as an app on Apple for the U.S., it rocketed to number one.
00:20:42.760I don't have any hard numbers, but that means that a lot of Americans are trusting their data to China.
00:20:51.120Everything that they're putting into the system goes into a Chinese server.
00:20:56.080Much of the information that gets gathered from their phones or whatever device is going to a Chinese server.
00:21:04.580What's also happening in response, just speaking of PSYOPs, I mean, what this did was undercut all of the promises of U.S. companies from NVIDIA to Stargate Project to Elon Musk's Grok and XAI, all of that.
00:21:22.400What the Chinese showed was that it was possible to create an AI that performs about as well as some of the top U.S. models, but produced with far less money, far less compute, and they released it for free.
00:21:41.100So it's the ultimate sort of release of a generic to undercut the top—
00:21:51.920Folks, in an advanced industrial economy, energy and the production of energy is 50 percent of the game because that provides the foundational element.
00:22:06.360This is why the German people in Germany with their elites on all this Green New Deal, net zero carbon, all this fantasy, they're in a free fall right now.
00:22:14.980This is one of the reasons Alternative for Deutschland is on a roll.
00:22:18.360This is one of the reasons that Elon now is involved in that and supporting Alternative for Deutschland because they are actually a real alternative, not just on the immigration issue, but across the board for rationality.
00:22:29.240You saw all these progressive Democrats because they're only progressive as performative in front to make your life more miserable and divert your signal for themselves.
00:22:40.680The apartheid state of Silicon Valley make the robber barons look like Franciscan monks.
00:22:48.080These are the – they're all on the spectrum.
00:22:59.360So when they saw artificial intelligence and other things of the push of the singularity all requires massive amounts of energy, particularly in the way they have the models set up, right, these large language models.
00:23:14.840We have – and I would say, Joe, I would call it a blunt force instrument, right?
00:23:20.160We do it by blunt computing power and force.
00:23:22.140It needs massive amounts of energy, as Dave Walsh has told you, multiples of what we have today.
00:23:28.180So all of a sudden you don't see as much – they're not as – you don't see a lot of talk about climate change anymore.
00:24:08.380Yeah, and then when they can aggregate up that data, they essentially see how people think, what they're interested in it, and they can program that.
00:24:17.720And then that's where the side – they then can control the population.
00:24:20.660And they have the number one instrument in social media with TikTok, which is quite addictive, and we saw what happened during the early stages of the Hamas war.
00:24:31.200And now you've got the equivalent of AI, which also takes you – it takes you to the pincer move of artificial intelligence in social media.
00:24:45.640Joe Allen, Sputnik moment or is it a PSYOP?
00:24:52.360And I know you say it's both, but which side do you lean on?
00:24:55.900Because this is the key question right now.
00:24:59.000You know, I don't think that it can really be peeled apart.
00:25:02.660You've got – the Sputnik moment messaging is itself a kind of PSYOP.
00:25:07.560So China is trying to show a degree of dominance in AI, and they've done a pretty good job of it.
00:25:14.380Even if their technology is, in fact, based on OpenAI's research, and even if they are lying ultimately about how much money they've put into it, how much money it costs to train, and how many processing units that this system used to train.
00:25:29.480I mean, Alexander Wayne of Scale AI claimed at Davos that they have far more advanced NVIDIA chips than they're saying they do.
00:25:39.380They just can't say so because of U.S. sanctions.
00:25:41.700But as far as the Sputnik moment goes, this is why it's very complicated.
00:25:48.400You already saw the competition between Sam Altman and Elon Musk playing out, the attempt to undercut the Stargate project by Musk in order to, I presume, boost his own product.
00:26:02.500Well, in this case, you've got China flexing their muscles on AI, and in response, you have people like Marc Andreessen talking about this as a Sputnik moment.
00:26:14.360They beat us to space, so to speak, and so we have to keep up.
00:26:18.920And so on the other side of it, now you have American accelerationists saying that all of the talk about safety and all of the caution needs to be thrown out.
00:26:29.780We need to jump into the AI race full steam ahead.
00:26:33.920And that means, ultimately, that they are going to justify as much as possible the development of any kind of AI system that they feel is profitable or beneficial.
00:26:45.820And it also means that in order for, for instance, a large language model to work, you have to scrape as much data as possible.
00:26:53.940It's kind of naturally married to a degree of surveillance or at least of data mining.
00:27:01.240And so that's going to be a much larger push with many fewer regulations.
00:29:59.380I'm also going to bring Joe back because we're going to see how the stock market, at one point, there's over a trillion dollars, heading to $2 trillion, a market cap wiped out.
00:30:09.520A little bit of stability as people try to work through this.
00:30:13.400This gets back to, this gets back to the oligarchs.
00:30:19.600Because they're definitely making a move.
00:31:40.940And there's got to be a way for us to get a deal where we can control the algorithm and the company and do it in a way that people feel comfortable with.
00:31:50.600Although I would tell you, even with the seven million companies they're using and making things, it is, it's, it's addictive for a reason.
00:31:57.460They now have the ability for these algorithms to basically capture you, capture your spirit.
00:32:03.500That's why we're in a, in a very, it's an age of tremendous promise, but it's also an age with the pit of darkness right there.
00:32:16.280It depends on, that's why more than ever, and this is why for four years we've been doing this and making sure that you're the most informed, not just in the MAGA movement,
00:32:24.860the most informed in the country about these issues, as we've done for four years, because this once again is going to require the common sense and decency.
00:32:35.660The three basic aspects that the American people bring together collectively as a group and they make decisions is, is common sense, decency,
00:32:46.040and kind of grit and determination, understand the reality and what has to happen to effectuate or make happen what they're thinking is.
00:33:04.440Because this country has got a system where the little guy that throughout the world, either in the empires of Asia or the monarchies in Europe or the dictatorships all over the world,
00:33:17.780from sub-Saharan Africa to Latin America to Asia and Central Asia, Europe, have not had the little guy,
00:33:25.540has not been able to express his common sense in the decency of the little guy.
00:33:31.800Because there's a commonality of that all over the world.
00:33:38.460This may be the biggest challenge of all because there's so much money to be made.
00:40:06.940But Obama's solution, because he's a constitutional lawyer and didn't know much better, and he was bought and paid for by the sociopathic overlords on Wall Street.
00:40:17.760Tim Geithner and those guys, the solution, the bailout of the wealthy, the bailout of the system, and the concentration of wealth, the greatest we've ever had, is a reactionary, not progressive.
00:40:39.240Remember, they came to San Francisco Airport and had that meeting in that conference room early on, where Zuckerberg and these guys showed him the power of Facebook to allow him to beat Hillary Clinton and then to beat the Republicans.
00:40:51.780The Faustian bargain made at San Francisco Airport, that Faustian bargain is the following, is that we will allow you an apartheid state to become an apartheid state or actually evolve more rapidly as an apartheid state, because we're going to give you monopolistic power.
00:41:09.520We're not going to have the FTC after you.
00:41:11.500We're not going to have the SEC after you.
00:41:12.820We're not going to have the Justice Department after you, the Antitrust Department.
00:41:15.100We're going to allow you to build monopolies, Facebook, Google, monopolistic power.
00:41:19.560So it's not about profits, it's about rent-seeking.
00:41:22.760We're going to allow you to become rent-seekers.
00:41:25.440And you're going to call your own shots on all of it.
00:41:28.440And you're not going to have to have any Hispanics, any blacks, any working-class whites, nobody.
00:41:33.380In fact, if you want to pick slave labor from South Asia and treat them like indentured servants, go for it.
00:41:39.140Because we'll game the system, make sure you get all the visas you need.
00:41:42.140That trade-off was, you're going to be the most powerful, you're going to deliver us ultimate technological power in the United States.
00:41:51.920And what happened at the same time, because they're letting the Chinese Communist Party and stealing what they can, educating and going back.
00:41:57.800It looks like now, that part of the bargain wasn't accomplished.
00:42:03.860But the most progressive in history set up the most reactionary state in history.
00:42:10.120The sociopathic overlords of Wall Street and the oligarchs in Silicon Valley.
00:42:18.100This is, in essence, what the MAGA movement is fighting in response to, of both the financial collapse of 2008, and also, as it evolved, the ability to destroy Trump in the MAGA movement by absolute technological dominance of social media means of communications.
00:42:40.700That, in essence, is the story of our age, our era, politically.
00:42:50.940They must destroy Trump, because he's the leader.
00:42:54.040And all the grundoons around him in the second tier, the Mike Flins, the Steve Banner, they must be destroyed also.
00:42:58.520But ultimately, they have to control and suppress and ultimately destroy you.
00:43:04.080When you're no longer economically necessary as a little production unit, until you've worn out your welcome, of which your children and grandchildren will wear out their welcome quite quickly with this crowd.
00:45:26.100We've got to get this Texas thing is very disturbing because I would argue respectfully that Sora spent hundreds of millions of dollars to turn Texas blue.
00:45:39.880You could argue more than even Florida and Ohio, the other two great states in the MAGA movement, that you could argue that Texas is the railhead of MAGA.
00:45:51.260And you can't figure out why basically the Bush apparatus with a bunch of Democrats, old boy Democrats, control the statehouse.
00:46:00.060And so we're going to get into that and what has to be done to counter that because the Bush apparatus is still an apparatus that does not put American citizens first, puts their own money and profits first.
00:46:17.540And I think Mo and Grace are going to try to figure out, work with our people and figure out where you can get hotel accommodations around there very inexpensively.
00:46:24.520We'll try to make this as cheap as possible.
00:46:26.480And we will have full spectrum dominance there to make sure you're broadcasting four hours a day.
00:46:31.620We're going to do a force multiplier academy.
00:46:34.640Everybody, if you show that you got a CPAC ticket for 76 bucks, you get in there.
00:46:41.920We're there for then all the days of CPAC, live coverage everywhere.
00:46:46.720We'll have our speakers, breakout sessions, people, books, films, everything.
00:46:52.260This will be a great kickoff to 2025, ma'am.
00:46:57.900Also, in order to get your CPAC ticket, go to cpac.org slash war room and you get the discounted ticket just exclusive for the war room posse.
00:47:13.380War room posse members get it for $76.
00:47:17.260In order to get into the force multiplier academy, you must have a proof of a CPAC ticket.
00:47:24.120The force multiplier academy will be from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19th at the Gaylord National Harbor.
00:47:35.500And we will have an update on the exact room this week for the force multiplier academy.
00:47:43.760Last year, we had a lot of great speakers.
00:47:45.840So if you missed the one last year at CPAC and also the one in Vegas, I highly encourage you to attend this year's force multiplier academy and also CPAC.
00:47:56.640There will be a lot of great speakers at CPAC and war room will be there.
00:49:57.560So in order to get your ticket for CPAC, you go to cpac.org slash war room.
00:50:02.440You must get your ticket for CPAC and then go to pp.events slash WFMA to get signed up for the Force Multiplier Academy on Wednesday, 19 February.
00:50:18.240You don't want to miss either one of those.
00:52:57.980Shortly after the government pushed through the Patriot Act.
00:53:00.480This gave the government power to spy on innocent Americans by monitoring our phone and email and tracking our movement across the Internet.
00:53:09.340Now, Jim Rickards, editor of the independent financial newsletter Strategic Intelligence and New York Times bestselling author, is warning about a coming event that could elevate this governmental surveillance to a terrifying new level.
00:53:22.180In fact, some of the guests I've had on the war room believe that the government will soon expand their powers to track our every move.
00:53:30.100If we say the wrong things on social media, donate to the wrong causes, buy firearms, or even vote MAGA, the government may be able to shut us out of our bank accounts.
00:53:40.300I can't say for sure if this will happen, but it's an interesting and dire warning.
00:53:46.500Fortunately, Jim Rickards, an American patriot and friend of mine, has made it his mission to educate us on what he believes is coming and how to protect yourself from the possibility of programmable money.
00:53:58.300Watch Jim's warning video now, before it's censored like I've been in the past.
00:54:06.600That's RickardsWarRoom.com now to see the video.
00:54:10.080Rickard Human, really trying to fill this gap of quality supplements.
00:54:15.500And of course, the beef liver being our flagship products.
00:54:18.600For those who don't know, beef liver is loaded with highly bioavailable ingredients such as vitamin A, B12, zinc, CoQ10, etc.
00:54:27.440And because it is 100% grass-fed and natural, your body is able to absorb these nutrients far better than taking any other synthetic multivitamin or any other synthetic vitamin in general.
00:54:40.540So we have some other amazing products, but if you'd like to check us out, you can go to SacredHumanHealth.com.
