00:00:00.000 prevention will cut one-tenth of its workforce. 1,300 workers are being forced out at that
00:00:05.780 critical agency. And as many as 2,000 employees at the Department of Energy were let go,
00:00:11.160 including hundreds from its National Nuclear Security Administration. Take that in.
00:00:17.320 According to the New York Times, the Internal Revenue Service is preparing to lay off thousands
00:00:21.180 of employees as soon as next week, reversing the Biden administration's efforts to beef up that
00:00:26.240 agency. What could go wrong with dramatically cutting the IRS workforce in the middle of tax
00:00:30.940 season? Just remember, the Trump administration put tax cheats ahead of your needs if you have
00:00:36.020 problems with your refund. Firings are already underway also at the Department of Education,
00:00:43.420 Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and even at the
00:00:48.440 agency ordering them, the Office of Personnel Management. That genius squad has now reportedly
00:00:54.080 been sent into the IRS. So now that group is in there with your tax information.
00:01:01.100 While tonight we get word that at the IRS, just ahead of tax filing season, they are about to fire
00:01:06.400 thousands, maybe 9,000 people who actually work there to handle your taxes.
00:01:14.160 The combination of the smash and grab by the supposedly high-tech team and the mass firing of
00:01:21.580 people who actually do know what they're doing means real material harm is being done to our
00:01:28.620 country. So you hear a lot about these probationary employees today. These are folks who
00:01:33.260 are in their first or second year on the job. And they can't just be summarily terminated like this on
00:01:41.120 a mass scale. There are rules that govern federal employees and their rights in the workplace.
00:01:47.540 And you're not supposed to remove them unless they're poor performers or they engage in misconduct.
00:01:53.480 So we filed another action just today, Joy, through one of the administrative bodies that
00:01:58.880 enforces these rules, the Office of Special Counsel.
00:02:01.360 AMG who put out a statement about these probationary firings. These firings are not about poor performance.
00:02:06.840 There's no evidence these employees were anything but dedicated public servants. They are about power.
00:02:12.220 They are about gutting the federal government, silencing workers, forcing agencies into submission to a
00:02:16.680 radical agenda that prioritizes cronyism. What they want is a chokehold. And they have a choke
00:02:22.820 collar on the mayor of the city of New York. And that is why I'm really thinking about what happens
00:02:27.860 next. And there are two things. One, the governor of New York has the ability to remove the mayor.
00:02:35.720 And if you've got a mayor who's this compromised, who's who, as you said, you've now seen on TV,
00:02:43.800 the the quo from the quid. He is no longer he is so conflicted. He is no longer representing
00:02:52.060 the people of New York City. And that is something where there is a democratically elected person with
00:03:00.120 the power to take action here so that essentially the mayor of the city of New York is not Donald Trump,
00:03:06.980 who no one voted for for that position. The second is the judge in this case can have a hearing and can
00:03:14.900 hear from Emile Bovey and can find out whether his version that he put in this submission is the
00:03:23.020 correct one or whether it's Danielle Sassoon. And just to be clear, he has a lot of discretion on the
00:03:29.640 following. He doesn't have a lot of discretion in terms of whether the case goes forward or not. But he can
00:03:34.440 actually appoint a special prosecutor if he thinks that Emile Bovey is lying to him. That can be prosecuted by
00:03:41.660 an independent prosecutor and a separate judge in that same district in the Southern District of New York has done
00:03:48.880 that exact thing in another case. So there is precedent for having that kind of remedy here.
00:03:58.140 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:04:02.980 Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on these people.
00:04:08.200 I got a free shot. All these networks lying about the people. The people have had a belly full of it.
00:04:14.380 I know you don't like hearing that. I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to
00:04:18.040 stop it. It's going to happen. And where do people like that go to share the big line?
00:04:23.180 MAGA media. I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:04:29.920 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose? If that answer is to save my country,
00:04:36.560 this country will be saved.
00:04:40.080 War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:04:43.340 It's Saturday, 15 February, Year of the Lord, 2025. So we are, I don't know what, 30 days away from
00:04:55.320 Ides of March. And by the Ides of March, much of this will be clearer because two things are converging.
00:05:02.680 One is the ripping apart of the administrative state. And I understand it may not, you know, for people
00:05:11.480 defending these corrupt institutions and for people defending this, it may look a little chaotic and
00:05:18.340 messy, but I think there's actually a quite strong internal logic to it. But eventually has to merge
00:05:24.020 into kind of process. And what I mean by this, what we've talked about from the very beginning is that
00:05:29.380 the DOGE effort, and DOGE, even though it's the U.S. Digital Service,
00:05:35.020 the apparatus that took over, it's still part of OMB. And OMB is the managerial effort of the entire
00:05:42.460 government. It then has to flow into an appropriations process to actually have these cuts
00:05:49.720 take effect over and above, I guess, what they're finding on some of this waste, fraud, and abuse,
00:05:56.600 which I assume you can shut down right away and is being shut down right away. The merging in and
00:06:01.780 getting in of real cuts and major cuts. Now, updated news overnight, huge report how Elon Musk's team
00:06:12.340 is crossing the Potomac and going to go to the Pentagon. I think they've actually had an early
00:06:18.220 team over there. The reason that's important is that we have two processes here. We have one
00:06:23.720 is the, and get ready, you're going to get a continuing resolution on the 14th because the
00:06:29.680 work on the appropriations side was not done. The Senate has not addressed any of these bills.
00:06:34.360 The House has seven or eight of them. Like Moskowitz said when he talked about it the other day,
00:06:39.480 they have seven single subject appropriations bill, which is about 80% of the budget, but I don't
00:06:43.700 think any work's been done in the Senate. And remember, you have to reconcile that. You have to
00:06:48.400 have a conference to get both people on board. It's one bill. Bottom line, it hasn't been done.
00:06:53.720 So get ready for a CR on around the, um, around the, um, you know, the first week of March to get to
00:07:04.860 the 14th. I think right after the president, president may drop it date to put in your calendars
00:07:08.740 for March, which is his discussion, joint session of Congress, essentially the state of the union,
00:07:15.620 state of the union. The first year is not say the union is called, uh, you know, it's a joint session,
00:07:20.440 same thing called differently where president goes up and addresses Congress from the 4th of March to
00:07:26.320 the 14th will be a firefight. Just will be want to give this audience a heads up. We're not going
00:07:34.240 to be happy about everything. It's just, that's, we got to face reality here of what we can do and
00:07:39.180 where we can put maximum leverage and maximum leverage. The end game we want to get to is
00:07:45.780 dramatic reductions in federal spending. Number one, to get control over these deficits that
00:07:54.380 continue to mount and go on the face amount of the national debt of which we then have to pay
00:08:01.720 interest in principle. Since we're never going to get the principle paid down, you're just going to
00:08:06.360 continue to pay, uh, interest. It is now a fact, as we have said now for a couple of years that
00:08:13.260 embedded in this refinancing of at least a third of that every year is, um, is where you're embedding
00:08:21.340 inflation. And I realized people are joyous of what's happening every day we're moving forward.
00:08:27.440 And I want to play that chaos at the top because I think, and I keep saying this legally,
00:08:31.260 as we press the case, both in deconstructing administrative state and pressing the case
00:08:38.920 of what we're doing to essentially cut massive costs out of the federal budget, we are, I believe,
00:08:46.600 winning and going to win at the federal court level. Last night, you've got this chaos over,
00:08:53.900 but I think it's control chaos over this situation with Adams, which is now going to free up a sanctuary
00:09:00.060 city. And this is incredible. It's important for the deportation, the mass deportation of the 10
00:09:06.760 million people. And you've had, you know, you've had resignations at, at main justice and at
00:09:17.220 Southern district of New York. So be it.
00:09:21.340 Emil Bovey doesn't give two Fs and neither does Pam bonding. That's fine. Just keep it pressed down.
00:09:26.420 I think, and I think it continues to show we are going to win at the federal level. You may get
00:09:31.740 slowed down at the first line of judges, but at the appellate level, you know, on the, on the, uh,
00:09:36.980 expedited hearings at the appellate level, and then it's the Supreme court. Uh, I believe you're
00:09:43.040 going to win. And one of the big things to put in your notebook, right? Is, is, uh, impoundment
00:09:49.500 impoundment, write that down, take number two pencil and write that down. That number is going
00:09:56.300 that, that concept, that construct back to the unified theory of the executive ideas have
00:10:04.340 consequences. These are big ideas. They're going to have big consequences and they're going to be big
00:10:09.540 fights. Just is. Cause I believe what you're going to see is the only, I think the way that
00:10:17.880 if I think this through, I think the way that you get Doge into this year, which is what we're
00:10:24.960 currently fighting, that's a CR. And in next year, which is a little bit of where the reconciliations
00:10:34.320 process come, where you get Doge in and Doge is two things, just to add to complexity here.
00:10:43.420 It is one, the waste, fraud, and abuse. Every day you see them, they're sending a strike team in here
00:10:47.280 and a strike team in here and a strike team in there and a strike team in there. These young,
00:10:50.860 you know, kind of Nader, Ralph Nader type guys going in with their computers and, uh, and getting
00:10:56.680 into the data and seeing where they're either old systems that were paying stuff or all that.
00:11:01.520 What does it add up to? I don't know right now. I keep asking that question. It, I hope it's a
00:11:09.000 significant number and this is just not optics, but it will get funneled into the process. And the
00:11:14.340 process that's going to get funneled into is the, whatever comes out of a, on the 14th, whether it's
00:11:19.980 a whole year CR, which you're going to hate and I'm going to hate, just get ready to be hating on
00:11:25.880 some stuff because you ain't going to like it. I'm not going to like it, but we kind of are where
00:11:32.760 we are in this very convoluted. Cause here's the thing. Why are we are where we are? Because we
00:11:38.700 still have a political class that does not want to face reality. You have to be, you got to fix
00:11:43.600 band nets. We got to put the band in the back and we got to drive them to face reality. Cause other
00:11:48.280 than that, there's no penalty for them to continue to spend money and print fiat currency and just kick
00:11:53.300 the can down the road and add more and more and more. Now the inflation, now that people are waking
00:11:57.840 up to the fact that this is how inflation is caused, inflation is caused by this massive federal
00:12:03.140 spending. And this is what turf Biden at office. And when the wake up call comes that, Hey, we have
00:12:08.920 to be serious about this. So Doge gets funneled into the process in this fiscal year. When I say this
00:12:14.660 fiscal year, I mean, what's happening now between now and September 30th. Then when you talk about
00:12:21.320 the reconciliations, all that, that's fiscal year 26 and beyond. The one thing also to keep clear is
00:12:29.060 when they talk about all these huge cuts and everything they're doing, $4 trillion, it's all
00:12:33.160 still fantasy. It's masturbatory fantasy because it's over 10 years. I'm not interested in 10 years.
00:12:38.600 I'm interested in this year between now and September 30th. I'm interested in next year. Once we get those
00:12:43.760 done, I'm interested in the year after that and the year after that. This is a restructuring. This is a
00:12:48.800 turnaround. The predicate of that is an energy policy that drives down energy costs and sets it
00:12:55.780 sets the predicate for lower energy costs across the board. And so for the signal, not the noise,
00:13:01.340 President Trump is moving on that. And Dave Walsh is here to talk about that. In addition,
00:13:05.480 you have to get your arms around the Pentagon budget. They're over in Ukraine right now. And the bottom
00:13:10.680 line in Ukraine, this is why the firestorm, we're telling Europe, Hey, guess what? You got to stand up
00:13:17.200 for the first time really since World War II. I would actually argue World War I. They haven't
00:13:23.100 stood on their own since World War I. This is why we had World War II. They have to stand up and
00:13:28.840 they're going to put some money in the game. The elites over there have gotten a free ride.
00:13:33.460 And as we reorient here to the hemispheric defense of President Trump, that leads to a potential
00:13:38.180 massive realignment of our defense budget, which we got to get to. Because, you know, you've got to get
00:13:46.280 to Medicaid, you've got to get to discretionary spending, you've got to get to do that, you've got
00:13:50.660 to get into the defense budget, you just have to. And Medicaid, once again, because this is not about
00:13:56.740 race, it's not about ethnicity, this is about economic distress. We have 18 million men of working age
00:14:04.200 not in the workforce. We have a crisis of, we have a crisis of among men in this country. We have 18 million
00:14:12.880 not in the workforce. This is why Medicaid is about economic distress.
00:14:18.140 Economic distress. Do we want Medicaid? No. Do you want Medicaid? No. Do the people taking it and want
00:14:24.300 it? No, they don't. But because we gutted this country and sent all the jobs off and since the
00:14:29.600 last five years, let me connect another dot. No net job creation in five years for people,
00:14:38.420 native-born people, regardless of your race or ethnicity. Zero. All the, essentially all the job
00:14:47.620 growth in five years to foreign-born citizens. Okay. We're going to take today, we're going to make this
00:14:55.140 all perfectly clear. Short break.
00:15:00.900 Hey, we're human. I don't always eat healthy. I know that's shocking. You don't always eat healthy
00:15:07.220 either. That's why doctors created Field of Greens. A delicious glass of Field of Greens daily is like
00:15:14.580 nutritional armor for your body. Each fruit and vegetable was doctor-selected for a specific
00:15:20.760 health benefit. There's a heart health group, lungs and kidney groups, metabolism, even healthy
00:15:27.080 weight. I love the energy I get with Field of Greens. And I mean, I love it because I need it.
00:15:32.680 But most of all, I love the confidence that even if I have a cheat day or a burger,
00:15:40.600 I can enjoy guilt-free because of Field of Greens. It's the nutrition my body craves daily. It's the
00:15:47.280 nutrition my body needs daily. And only Field of Greens makes you this better health promise.
00:15:54.960 Your doctor will notice your improved health or your money back. Let me repeat that.

00:16:24.240 at the war room because we need you healthy. President Trump wisely understood that under
00:16:29.200 the Biden administration, there was a war against American energy. And today that war officially has
00:16:35.040 ended. President Trump on day one declared a national energy emergency. And this is a real emergency
00:16:41.520 because under the Biden administration, restricted the production of oil and gas. Production's still
00:16:47.200 coming. But when you stop holding leases, when you take 625 million acres of land out of ocean,
00:16:54.320 land out of production possibilities through an executive order, you're really restricting the
00:16:58.400 balance sheet of America. But today, as President Trump said, this is unleashed. The National Energy
00:17:04.960 Dominance Council will be made up. All the folks that are standing beside me here,
00:17:09.360 other cabinet leaders, and many more represent President Trump's wise decision that we need a
00:17:14.880 whole-of-government approach to unwind. The Biden administration had a whole-of-government
00:17:19.600 approach that had the war against U.S. energy. Now we need to turn that around 180 degrees and unleash
00:17:25.280 that potential. We've got to unleash it from the Gulf of America all the way up to Alaska. We have amazing
00:17:31.600 resources in this country, and we haven't been getting a return on them. Many of these are under
00:17:35.760 public lands. The interior has 500 million acres of surface, 700 million acres of subsurface minerals,
00:17:43.040 critical minerals, and offshore close to 2 billion acres. And that balance sheet is the biggest balance
00:17:50.800 sheet in the world, and it's been completely underutilized. Everybody knows we have 36 trillion
00:17:55.760 in debt as a country, but no one knows how many hundreds of trillions of dollars of assets we have.
00:18:01.440 And President Trump is asking us to go get a return on that investment for the American people. And with
00:18:06.320 that, we're going to have prosperity at home with lower prices, and we're also going to have peace abroad.
00:18:11.680 Because the wars that we've been engaged in, our allies have been fighting over the past few years,
00:18:17.280 have been funded by the oil sales of our adversaries. So we have an opportunity, and we also are in an AI
00:18:23.200 arms race with China. The only way we win that is with more electricity. And we also have an energy
00:18:28.240 emergency in terms of electricity. Too much intermittent, unreliable, not enough baseload.
00:18:33.920 We've been shutting down the baseload that we have. President Trump is going to reverse that,
00:18:37.920 and it's going to allow us to win the AI arms race, which is the most important thing that we have to
00:18:42.320 do relative to our future. So with that, I want to say again, thank you to President Trump. And I want
00:18:47.840 to thank my fellow members of the Energy Council. Okay.
00:18:56.480 You talk about policy and Project 2025 and working in ideas and ideas have consequences.
00:19:01.920 We owe this. This is a number of people coming together. But I got to give a hat tip to the
00:19:07.200 War Room Posse and to the great Dave Walsh. What you just heard right there from Governor Burgum is
00:19:13.280 chapter and verse of what we've talked about for the last four years in this show, including the
00:19:17.600 energy dominance, full-spectrum energy dominance. Also, put in your notebook, one of the most
00:19:24.400 important people in the cabinet, very low-key and not a huge public profile, is Burgum, a very serious
00:19:32.000 guy, a very serious guy. And he keeps his hand on the pulse of corporate America. And I think he's
00:19:37.920 the real, the linchpin along with the Lutnik over at Commerce to the, to the, to the corporate
00:19:44.400 America, to the president. And I think he does it in kind of a common sense way. Dave Walsh,
00:19:51.360 because here's the thing, while we're flooding the zone and overwhelming the radical Democrats,
00:19:58.880 the apparatus, the administrative state, the deep state, all of it, you also have to be putting
00:20:04.400 into, to place your plan. Correct? Part of it's here, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, as we've talked
00:20:11.040 about, right? On the, on ending the war on one side and the deportations, you know, that ties in New
00:20:17.120 York City with what's happening in Munich today. But the driving force to take away the existential
00:20:22.000 threat, which is our financial crisis and the economic crisis. What is the gospel of Dave Walsh?
00:20:29.360 Walsh. It's all based upon, it's got to be, the foundation has to be energy. And it has to be,
00:20:37.520 what's that great mantra? You've got Dave Walsh, constant base load, you know, not, not the Green
00:20:41.840 New Deal, not, not wind and solar and all these fantasies. Time to stop fantasy and get back to it.
00:20:48.480 President Trump signed it right there, the National Energy Dominance Council. Dave Walsh,
00:20:54.480 thoughts. How big a deal is this, brother? Dave, this is Christmas Day for us. This is the
00:21:01.240 president doing exactly what we voted for and on this show advocated for for about three years.
00:21:07.180 Appreciate the recognition, but this is a tremendous day. He's gone after with the foundation of the
00:21:13.760 all of government and energy council to unleash energy dominance. A full, all of government focus,
00:21:19.960 not on net zero decarb, but on all in energy abundance and low cost, which is essentially
00:21:27.620 necessary for manufacturing anything and for rate payers to begin to enjoy less inflation and
00:21:34.600 hopefully a reduction in the cost of energy, which is crippling the economy. So he's got Bergen pointed
00:21:40.520 out the need for base load, less intermittent electricity. Fantastic. The formation of the council,
00:21:47.440 of course, fantastic. The reinvigoration of the continental pipeline that would support natural
00:21:53.480 gas deliveries, badly needed natural gas deliveries to New York and New England, who are in the top
00:21:59.100 seven states in the country of the top 10 states in energy cost, electricity cost, all of New England
00:22:04.300 and New York. Solve that issue. Get natural gas desperately needed to New Englanders, New Yorkers,
00:22:11.080 and then even mentioning the necessity of clean coal. If we're going to have AI server centers,
00:22:15.940 and oh, by the way, the rest of industry, aluminum, steelmaking, which he mentioned,
00:22:20.960 you've got to have abundant energy, baseload energy of all sources. One of the most immediate
00:22:26.660 sources of that is reinvigorating clean coal, such as China is doing, he said, a plant a month. It's
00:22:33.080 really, they've got 400 under permit in construction, Germany reopening coal plants, and of course, Japan,
00:22:39.500 and the big, big coal binge between 2015 and 2019, putting 13 gigawatts more coal online in Japan.
00:22:46.500 So we need to be doing the same thing here. We need to get back to baseload, constant duty energy.
00:22:51.620 The CEO and this formation of the all-of-government approach through the Energy Council does
00:22:56.300 exactly that. It's a great day for the country.
00:22:59.280 It's a great day. I want to make sure people understand the bid and the ask here.
00:23:06.060 Under Biden, he saw this in Germany. They had a whole-of-government on net carbon zero. A
00:23:12.820 whole-of-government on net carbon zero. That is essentially an energy plan that de-industrializes
00:23:18.680 you. You're seeing this in Germany right now, as Dave Walsh has warned us. They had a whole-of-government
00:23:23.280 ours is a whole-of-government of full-spectrum energy dominance. The gap in there is massive.
00:23:30.140 The gap in there means your children and grandchildren, yourselves, but your grandchildren
00:23:35.000 and children and grandchildren have a shot. We have a shot. Because we were going down the same path
00:23:41.260 of the Greta Thunberg insanity that you see in Germany right now. And you see the social upheaval
00:23:48.500 in Germany. One of the key parts of that is their de-industrialization at the same time
00:23:53.680 kind of surrendering and sending the jobs to China. Does that sound familiar? This is
00:23:58.940 why this is so massive. Am I correct there? That's the spread. The spread is you had these
00:24:04.620 maniacs in Washington who were self-dealing too. And this gets back to what I talked about
00:24:10.580 and Palmet, this is Trump grabbing the $300 billion that has not been spent on the Green
00:24:15.900 News scam. And he's saying, hey, guess what? I'm going to repurpose this. The bid here is
00:24:21.440 between these maniacs that were doing net carbon zero, which means you're de-industrializing
00:24:29.960 your society versus full-spectrum energy dominance. Now, to be brutally frank, the progressive Democrats
00:24:36.700 in the apartheid state of Silicon Valley got the joke and said, oh, yeah, we just figured
00:24:42.740 out that AI needs like 10x power. So they're now our allies. And they ain't allies because
00:24:48.940 they're good guys. They were the driving force at one time in net carbon zero and all the
00:24:54.180 venture capital money they were putting and how they talked it up and how they suppressed
00:24:57.800 voices like Dave Walsh in the show not to talk about full-spectrum energy dominance.
00:25:02.280 They flipped because the reality of artificial intelligence, particularly the brute force
00:25:07.640 way we do it, you need massive new energy sources. Dave Walsh, your thoughts, observations, and
00:25:14.460 comments, sir?
00:25:16.340 Well, the stupidity, the sheer stupidity economic disaster of the last five years has been the
00:25:21.820 investment of 91% of the capital spent on new power generation in this country. The last
00:25:27.260 five years has been on intermittent renewables that operate on average about 24% or 25% of
00:25:33.340 the time and don't operate 75% of the time at about $100 billion a year in total was spending
00:25:39.300 on capital, where normally we spend about $65 billion a year. So we've spent about 56% more money
00:25:45.500 on equipment that's basically churning away from baseload full-time energy devices, coal, gas,
00:25:52.660 and nuclear over the last five years and spending about $42 billion a year going forward in incentivizing
00:25:59.660 more of that, incentivizing more energy devices by the Biden administration, solar and wind and
00:26:05.700 battery storage that cost from six to 11 times more for ratepayers. So that's not going to be
00:26:12.360 off the table. That'll be off the table. And instead, and also through the tariff program,
00:26:16.940 which goes after soft issues such as China, you can't import any United States or German,
00:26:23.420 Japan-made gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, or even renewable equipment into China. You just
00:26:29.720 can't do it. So on a soft basis, as he goes through reciprocity of actions, not just tariff percentages,
00:26:36.840 they will be unable, hopefully, to import any further solar panels, thin film PV, inverters,
00:26:42.300 and batteries into this country for energy supply, which cost American ratepayers six to 11 times more
00:26:48.700 money than conventional gas-fired power generation or coal-fired power generation. That'll be brought
00:26:54.740 to its knees. So this has been a false economy and one very ruinous. So the last five years,
00:26:59.480 we've added only 3.5% or 0.6% per year growth to our electricity supply, where now we're needing
00:27:06.220 three to 5% per year growth in electricity as we grow industry. AI data centers are just part of
00:27:14.040 that. Aluminum smelting, steelmaking, all of that. Petrochemicals, chemicals, plastics, all need
00:27:19.800 enormous electricity on a constant duty, not part-time basis. Think and the company recognized this and
00:27:27.600 they began talking about this nine months ago. So this is, the president's moving strongly to
00:27:33.540 re-electrify the country and re-energize the country on a cost-effective basis. It's fantastic.
00:27:38.860 And basically essential to build the economy.
00:27:42.780 Essential is the predicate. You have to lay that foundational element. Dave Walsh, where do people
00:27:47.280 get you, sir, on social media?
00:27:49.640 Find me at DaveWalshEnergy on GetterX and TrueSocial. Thank you, Steve. Great day.

00:29:33.920 Here's your host, Stephen K. Mann.
00:29:37.820 Okay, CPAC.org slash war room. You get a $75 ticket. We are absolutely packed wall to wall. We got a
00:29:48.400 force multiplier academy. I want everybody there to fire up the football. Kind of get organized about
00:29:55.660 the next phase. The next phase is going to be quite intense, leading down to essentially the Ides of March
00:30:02.020 and then driving these reconciliation bills, the tax cuts. The foundational element of President
00:30:07.660 Trump, remember, it's an energy policy and it's a supply-side tax cut. Supply-side tax cut. And on top
00:30:17.800 of that, big cuts in federal spending, smart cuts in federal spending, taking out the doge, waste,
00:30:23.880 fraud, and abuse, and then you get into programmatically where you're going to have to cut. I'm going to have
00:30:28.340 Captain Fennell up here in a moment. We're going to talk geo-strategically why this reorientation to the
00:30:33.460 hemispheric defense is quite brilliant. We'll have massive, massive implications to the defense
00:30:38.520 budget. And what I want to make sure people are not doing is just blindly going down the path of doing
00:30:45.300 what we've done before because President Trump is saying we ain't doing that. The whole thing in Europe
00:30:51.360 and, you know, Lindsey Graham's over there. All my people are over there telling me Lindsey Graham's running
00:30:55.080 around, hugging on Zelensky, and he's the greatest partner ever he had. And it just, we're not doing this
00:30:59.840 anymore. We're not going to do it. We're not doing it. The European elites are going to step up and talk to
00:31:06.360 their people. If you got a big, if you got a primal fear of Russia, then step, President Trump told you the
00:31:11.680 number, 5%. You're not going to do it because we've been bailing you out for over 100 years. And that day is over.
00:31:18.200 Over. The American people are going to take care of themselves. You're an ally and we'll be an ally.
00:31:25.680 We're not breaking the alliance, but we're not underwriting. It's the difference between
00:31:29.220 being an ally and being an underwriter. We've underwritten it. That's why NATO in Western Europe
00:31:38.680 is a protectorate of the United States. That's why the Middle East and the Gulf Emirates and all these
00:31:43.860 kings and potentates, and even Israel, our ally Israel, we underwrite all that. And they, and
00:31:50.900 probably the UAE, are two best allies over there that punch way above their weight. But the whole
00:31:56.320 thing's a mess. And no, we're not getting dragged into another, we're not getting dragged into a land
00:32:00.520 war in Persia. We're not going to get dragged into airstrikes in Persia. We're just not going to do
00:32:04.680 that. Not going to do it. There are other ways and smarter ways to do that. And I say that as a young
00:32:11.180 man has spent no time in the North Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf looking at Persia and it's
00:32:17.020 like the moon, no need for us to be doing this. You got to be smart about it. That's why this
00:32:24.900 geostrategic and the three island chains and India being the key and Diego Garcia being a key,
00:32:30.740 there's a smart way to get through this with a third less cost. And you start using unrestricted
00:32:37.340 warfare. You start using your capital base. You start using your technology, withholding
00:32:42.420 it from people. And we can get there and not put ourselves in bankruptcy because now one
00:32:47.740 of the biggest national security threats is this fricking spending that's out of control
00:32:52.240 and these gutless people up here that don't want to go back and tell anybody. American people
00:32:56.280 will be very understanding if you explain it to them and they don't think they're getting
00:33:00.120 screwed. And this whole Medicaid situation is going to be a big deal because this is about
00:33:04.140 economic distress, this is about gutting, this is about 18 million or 20 million men in
00:33:08.940 this country of working age are not in the workforce because there's not jobs there. We
00:33:14.200 gutted all the good jobs. You got young men now not going to college because they don't
00:33:19.960 see the benefit of it. Not that college is everything, but they're not going for a whole
00:33:26.880 host of reasons. We got to get them re-engaged into the workforce. Then you do that, you're not
00:33:31.320 going to need Medicaid. The elites have done this and gutted our country and now want the
00:33:38.920 people to deal with it. Now I want the taxpayer to deal with it. It can be unwound. It can
00:33:45.080 be unwound smartly, but you have to be tough and you're going to have to take a lot of incoming
00:33:48.580 and we are going to take a lot of incoming. Trust me on this. Particularly say, oh, all
00:33:53.600 Bannon wants to do is soak the wealthy, soak the rich. I don't, but hey, no offense.
00:33:57.300 Be brutally frank, they benefited from all the bailouts. They've benefited. We've socialized
00:34:03.280 the risk and given them unlimited upside. Those numbers are not even questioned. Cannot
00:34:09.980 be questioned. This is how you've had this great concentration of wealth and we're going
00:34:13.540 to give them another benefit, another tip. Not going to happen. Can't happen. Because
00:34:19.560 you can see the underlying numbers and don't think our approval ratings are that so far over
00:34:24.220 the top that if the current trending in economics continue and this is driven by this massive
00:34:29.860 federal spending, things could change on a diamond. We have to address it now. And the
00:34:33.800 two underlying things he's doing are quite smart. This energy policy is a predicate. If
00:34:39.620 supply side tax cuts smartly as a predicate and also a geostrategic alignment so we don't
00:34:46.400 have a defense budget that's killing us and crippling us like I think it is now. Although
00:34:52.020 a big part of it's a works for a work program and industrial policy.
00:34:58.420 Ben Harnwell, let's talk about Ukraine first. This Ukraine thing, please, we cannot get sucked
00:35:02.780 into this. They're going to, President Trump, they're trying to suck you into it. We know
00:35:06.440 Ben? Okay. We got a technical problem with Harnwell. I'll do this then on that. We don't
00:35:11.840 need Ben. I can take this. I mean, I'd love to have him, but he's got technical problems.
00:35:16.000 Okay. You see over there, President Trump couldn't be clear. He's having a direct conversation
00:35:21.140 with Putin. And he's got Witkoff. He's got Witkoff in, went to Moscow. And that's where
00:35:27.660 they're having a discussion. Now they're saying Zelensky has to be at the table. Zelensky
00:35:31.340 has to be at the table and you guys start paying for it. Don't talk about American security
00:35:36.900 guarantee. And Zelensky comes back, no American troops. And they're saying, oh, Pete Hex is
00:35:42.780 a rookie. He didn't know. Let's get it up on the table first. Here's what the, here's
00:35:46.160 what the framework is. We're out. We're tired of it. We're tired of shoveling money over
00:35:51.540 there. And quite frankly, I don't give a damn about the rare earths. Keep it. Just walk
00:35:56.900 away. If you get sucked in, you're going to be sucked in year after year after year. We
00:36:01.680 don't, it's opportunity costs. We got bigger fish to fry. The EU wants them in there and
00:36:07.180 NATO wants them in there. Then have the Germans, have the French, have the Italians, have all
00:36:11.260 these deadbeats, Macron and Georgia Maloney and have whoever's going to run Germany and
00:36:17.780 throw in, uh, and throw in the Brits. You know, Boris Johnson, a big talker. And then
00:36:22.420 put some money up and put some money for your defense. Let's see a couple of three combat
00:36:26.660 divisions. How about that? We're out and we got to be adamant about this. And Lindsey
00:36:32.780 Graham is over there cheerleading, skipping around. Oh, Zelensky's great to keep skipping
00:36:36.520 around, bro. We're out. What don't you understand? We're out. Zelensky doesn't get
00:36:42.440 to see the table. We don't give a damn what Zelensky has to say. We've seen what he's done
00:36:45.760 to his people. I, last time I looked, there are a million dead or wounded and the place
00:36:49.160 looks like Dresden. Great job. Great job. For what? For what end?
00:36:54.940 Captain. Now here, President Trump is reorienting. He's saying, Hey, kind of pox on all your houses.
00:37:02.940 We got bigger fish to fry. Plus he's talking about getting Putin in, in, in she in a room
00:37:07.480 and sitting down and talking about hammering swords in the plowshares. And Hey, we're not
00:37:12.700 going to walk in naively and think of these guys are going to have a kumbaya moment. We
00:37:17.260 always got to be prepared. Always have to be prepared because these are not good people.
00:37:21.280 They're just not, their people are good. Lao Bai Jing. I mean, if you look at world
00:37:27.020 war two, the war on the Eurasian landmass, the Chinese people were our ally. The Indian
00:37:32.020 army was our ally. The non-commissioned officers, the guys that stood at Irrawaddy and fought
00:37:37.440 the Japanese and didn't let them come and take India. They're on our side, the Indian people
00:37:42.120 and the Russian people. Now their leaders in the next, I don't know, 50 or 60 or 70, 80
00:37:49.000 years were not pro-American at all. They were anti-American. Doesn't mean the people weren't
00:37:53.760 and didn't bleed on the battlefield on battles. We need to have one for now. Now we have a
00:37:59.680 total reorientation and this is Alfred Thayer Mahan. President Trump, who's read Morrison
00:38:04.640 understands the, the victory, the Naval victory in World War II is saying, Hey, I think I got
00:38:09.760 it from Panama Canal to Greenland. The Arctic's going to be in play. And we get the three island
00:38:14.780 chains in the Pacific. You got a desert. The Pacific Ocean is as big as the Eurasian landmass
00:38:19.960 between, and it's a, it's essentially an ocean desert vast. It's like crossing the Sahara.
00:38:26.200 We've got that. You do that. America's hermetically sealed. Captain Fennell, the floor is yours.
00:38:33.140 Well, Steve, I, I agree with what you're saying that there's this recognition that, you know,
00:38:38.720 land wars and, you know, we always say you don't want to find a land war in Asia. Well,
00:38:42.460 you don't really want to fight a land war in the Middle East and in Europe forever either.
00:38:47.740 And, uh, president Trump's very, been very clear. This focused on, uh, as you call it,
00:38:53.320 the hemispheric defense, focusing and talking about, Hey, we have to have control of the,
00:38:57.940 of the Panama Canal, not our own physical control of it, but the ability to make sure that our forces
00:39:04.020 and our goods and services and our Naval forces can transit through there is important.
00:39:08.880 He talks about Greenland for a lot of reasons, but he was very clear about mentioning Russian
00:39:13.920 and Chinese ships transiting through the GUI, uh, GUIK gap. Uh, and so he's talking in naval terms.
00:39:22.260 And then three days ago in Munich, you had Pete Exeth. I know he's gotten some, you know, bad,
00:39:27.280 you know, publicity for some things he said about Ukraine, but the most important thing he said,
00:39:31.580 from my perspective was this, he said, we also face a peer competitor in common with the Chinese
00:39:37.440 communists with the capability and intent to threaten our homeland and core national interests
00:39:43.080 in the Indo-Pacific. The U S is prioritizing deterring war with China in the Pacific, recognizing
00:39:50.820 the reality of scarcity and making the resource trade-offs to ensure deterrence does not fail.
00:39:57.060 Deterrence cannot fail for all of our sakes. And that's really what we've neglected for the last
00:40:02.560 40 years is deterring the PRC. And as you said, our great ocean areas of the Pacific from the West
00:40:09.520 coast to, uh, to Japan, and it takes a, an aircraft carrier 14 days or so to go across, uh, from San
00:40:16.800 Diego to Yakuska. That's a large area. People cannot comprehend how big that area is, but we have
00:40:22.600 neglected that area. And we have kind of, uh, there's people even calling to pull back the four
00:40:27.380 deployed Naval forces. And what I see is the Trump administration and the people that are talking
00:40:33.120 and making these, these, uh, plans, this hemispheric defense, it's based upon returning America to be a
00:40:41.460 Naval power. And what we need is to define what is the purpose of our Navy for our nation. And it is
00:40:47.860 always been, as you mentioned, Mahan, it is about command of the seas. And we have always had
00:40:54.160 command of the seas and we need to have command of the seas today. And we do not have it in the
00:41:00.700 region of the far East, given what the PRC has done in their naval modernization program for the last
00:41:06.940 25, 30 years. And so we need to restore our Naval power. That's not an occupation force. That's not
00:41:14.200 sending soldiers into foreign countries. That's having the ability to command the seas where we
00:41:20.160 need to, at the time that we need to. And that, what that does is maintain the peace and security
00:41:25.080 of the region, which is what the Navy, this U S seven fleet largely did from the end of world war II
00:41:30.640 up until this last, uh, you know, 10, 10, 15 years as the Chinese Navy developed. So we walked away from
00:41:38.440 our responsibility to deter the PRC, to deter the Chinese communists, because they have plans to do
00:41:44.440 a lot of mischief. And if we're not there, if we're not there in strength and we're not working
00:41:49.080 with our allies, it was glad to see, uh, prime minister Modi and president Trump specifically
00:41:54.280 talk about defense as a key element of our relationship. And that's good. It was under the
00:41:59.960 first Trump administration that we revitalized the, uh, the quad relationship, Japan, uh, Australia,
00:42:07.720 United States, and India. And it's going to get re-energized again, which is going to put pressure
00:42:13.240 and deter China from their activities. But we have serious problems. And you mentioned the defense
00:42:18.280 department, you know, why are we spending all this extra money for the, uh, you know, the Ford class
00:42:25.320 carrier that has problems with this electromagnetic launch system. All we're getting is an extra 40
00:42:31.240 sorties in a day, uh, to have that technological capability at what cost billions of dollars.
00:42:39.160 We paid for the Zumwalt cruiser, you know, billions of dollars for Zumwalt. We only produced three of them.
00:42:45.000 And then we found out after we produced them that firing a single round of this ammunition that would
00:42:50.360 go into these advanced guns would cost over a million dollars around. It was unsustainable.
00:42:55.480 Unbelievable.
00:42:55.960 We've had problems with the littoral combat. All these problems in our Navy that is, is atrocious.
00:43:02.520 And all the admirals that I work for, I, there, some of them are friends, good people, but it's
00:43:07.960 unbelievable that we allowed this to happen. The people that were supposed to be guarding
00:43:12.440 our Naval sea lanes went to sleep and turned the department department of defense over to the,
00:43:17.800 to the army. And if you talk about
00:43:22.840 Captain, hang on for one second. We're just taking a short break. Hang on back in a moment.
00:43:35.080 Health isn't just a personal issue. It's a family issue, a community issue.
00:43:39.480 We're living in unpredictable times. Supply chains can break down. Hospitals can get overwhelmed and
00:43:44.120 let's not even start on the natural disasters. These aren't hypotheticals. They're happening.
00:43:49.080 You see it here in the war room and we all know it. The question is simply, are you ready?

00:44:41.880 Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:44:47.480 Captain Fennell, you're going to be writing a lot about this. Yes, we've been asleep on the Navy because
00:44:51.960 this is the thing with CENCOM. This is about the pivot to Asia. The pivot to Asia is really a pivot.
00:44:56.440 In pivoting Asia, President Trump's come up with a new hemispheric defense, which is brilliant.
00:45:01.640 Monroe Doctrine 2.0 or 5.0. Fortress America. Quite brilliant. Captain Fennell said about you leave
00:45:09.480 San Diego with a carrier battle group 14 days later. People do not understand because maps don't really
00:45:15.240 show it correctly. The Pacific is a massive ocean desert. Massive. That is protection for the United
00:45:23.160 States of America. And President Trump thinks this through. Although, obviously, with our partners
00:45:29.160 in India, the Indo-Pacific is obviously vastly important. The Seventh Fleet. And this is why
00:45:35.160 the British got to keep Diego Garcia. Can't be giving that back to the Chinese Communist Party. More
00:45:40.440 absurdity. But whole CENCOM was this land war in the Middle East. And we're not doing it. We're not
00:45:48.120 going to do that again. The mistakes there are just horrific. And it cannot happen again. This is
00:45:53.240 why they're trying to certain people trying to suck you into a land war in Persia. They're not going to
00:45:56.360 happen. Last thing you need. Been doing that since, what, the early 90s? Actually, you could throw
00:46:03.240 Beirut in there. Maybe the early 80s. Captain Fennell, where can people go to get your writings? Because now
00:46:08.280 more than ever, particularly as we reorient the Pentagon to a new strategic, the post-war
00:46:14.280 international rules-based order is over. Because America is not going to underwrite it anymore.
00:46:19.560 That's the squealing you hear in Munich. They want America. They want you. They want the suckers
00:46:25.400 that are American taxpayer and the parents that send their kids to go do this to underwrite it all.
00:46:29.880 It's not going to happen anymore. We're out. We're out. It's America first. We're looking for allies.
00:46:36.280 We're not looking for protectorates. Europe's been a vassal state, and they've dined off the
00:46:41.480 American taxpayer, and they've dined off the sons and daughters of MAGA for 80 years. Full stop.
00:46:49.160 Not going to happen anymore. I don't care how much they squeal. I don't care in Custade, or Provence,
00:46:56.120 or Tuscany, or the West End of London, or in Berlin and Paris. There's plenty of money in Europe.
00:47:04.040 Big money. Let the Norwegian fund, you know, the sovereign wealth fund is like a train and a half
00:47:10.040 dollars off of North Sea oil, and the Norwegians are good investors, right? They'll squeeze you.
00:47:15.800 Captain Fennell, where do people go to get you, sir?
00:47:19.000 I write for American Greatness occasionally. And I would just say, you know, when I joined the Navy in
00:47:26.120 1986, we had 600 ships, about 600 ships. And over the last 40 years, we now have less than 300 ships.
00:47:33.560 And we're not able to provide for that hemispheric defense with a force that's like this. We just had
00:47:38.680 an aircraft carrier have a collision just off the coast of Egypt at the entrance of the Suez Canal.
00:47:44.120 This on Wednesday, the USS Harry Truman collided with a bulk carrier and put some damage onto our
00:47:50.520 aircraft carrier. Don't know how extensive it is. But we don't even have the capability to do forward
00:47:55.560 repairs, because we only have two repair ships in the US Navy. And, you know, there's only two,
00:48:01.640 and they're out in the Pacific right now. But we don't have the ability to sustain ourselves in those
00:48:05.880 kinds of operations that are necessary for our hemispheric defense. We got a lot of problems in the
00:48:11.480 Navy and the Department of Defense. To show you what a kid, what a kid Captain Fennell is, and I
00:48:18.760 revere Captain Fennell as a man that put everything on the line, moral courage and brilliance, unbelievable
00:48:24.680 to put his whole career on the line. Captain Fennell, I was, I was there a decade earlier. Captain Fennell
00:48:30.920 was still in short pants, as we say.
00:48:32.920 76 to 84 or 85 or 83, 83 or 84. Captain Fennell coming in in 86. And you saw it. When I started,
00:48:45.240 when I joined the Navy, it was the 295 ships, the Carter debacle. President Ronald Reagan came in
00:48:51.240 and said, we're going to build a 600 ship Navy. And hey, we came pretty damn close, did we not Captain
00:48:56.440 Fennell? And that's when we ruled, that's when we ruled the waves. There's a different deal then.
00:49:01.160 And we've shrunk ever since then. This, this, this is why Trump gets it. Hey, Panama Canal,
00:49:07.160 Greenland, let's get a base up there. Let's block the Soviet, let's block the Russian Navy
00:49:11.800 up in the Arctic in Archangel Murmansk. We can get, we can see all the fast attacks and boomers coming
00:49:18.060 by and trail them. And tell you, and Europe should get the joke when he announced that they should
00:49:22.500 understand, hey, the Russian army is your problem. You deal with it. We'll be there as an ally, but hey,
00:49:27.500 you deal with it. And that means drafting some young men, getting some equipment, building an army,
00:49:33.500 building an army. And you see what happened in Zelensky, a million dead and wounded Ukrainians,
00:49:39.140 according to President Trump. And the place looks like Dresden in 1945. Captain, we got to bounce.
00:49:44.000 Look forward to having you back on here to go through this.
00:49:46.100 Trump's making, I mean, this is the thing, the signal and the noise. There's so much going on
00:49:52.480 and it's breaking them, but they're deep, deep, deep moves being made by President Trump. He's
00:49:59.360 thought a lot in the, in the, in the years in the wilderness. He did what Churchill did. He read,
00:50:06.300 he thought, he studied, he looked, he observed, he compared that what he did the first time.
00:50:12.640 This is why you have a totally different deal this time. And also the people, the, the,
00:50:17.200 the America first priorities, the heritage, there's the center for renewing America,
00:50:22.440 thinking through national security policy, thinking through economic policy. The, the,
00:50:27.360 the national energy dominance cancel didn't come out of nowhere. The strategy in Greenland and the
00:50:33.080 think, then he just didn't materialize. He's not dreaming this stuff up, not coming off the top of
00:50:38.800 his head. This is a lot of thinking and a lot of smart people thinking it through. And they
00:50:45.700 understand the deep state and the ministry understand, understand it. What do you think
00:50:49.820 they're over there? My folks over there in Munich's and man, when JD and the team and
00:50:53.600 those guys left, it's a feeding frenzy over there right now. Lindsey Graham's people stern it up.
00:50:59.260 They're stern it up. Oh, America hasn't left. Don't pay any attention to them.
00:51:03.080 This is what happens. The Praetorian guard of the deep state, they're permanent. They say,
00:51:07.020 don't, don't worry about these guys. Trump is a thing that looked, they brought Poso. How
00:51:11.640 serious can they be? They brought Posovic. Hell, Rahim Kassam's over there. How serious can they be?
00:51:16.480 These guys are all just flowing through. JD's talking about first amendment speech. These people
00:51:20.740 just, they're just drifting through. We're, we're permanent. That's what Lindsey's saying. We're
00:51:24.520 permanent. Deal with us. Deal with us. Come to CPAC. We want you there. We're going to have a
00:51:34.780 partner's discussion over four days. CPAC.org slash worm, 76 bucks. Also on the 28th of February,
00:51:42.080 the following week, I just got to run a show. It's going to be amazing. Poso and a whole band
00:51:47.260 of pirates going to be down there, Tarrant County. Brought to you by Patriot Mobile,

00:51:57.720 Those values would be Judeo-Christian values. Okay. Check it out. Glenn Story and the team.

00:52:10.420 beforehand, usually longer, like 90 minutes. Meeting and greeting, getting to know you all,
00:52:14.460 get a selfie. Incredible. Excited. Second hour on fire, on fire, on fire. Here in the war room,
00:52:23.780 we're going to leave you with the right stuff. We'll be back in 90 seconds in the war room.
