On today's show, we have a special guest on the show, and he's a man of many talents. He's a writer, a speaker, a lawyer, and an all-around brilliant human being. He also happens to be the President of the United States, Donald Trump. In this episode, we talk about how Trump is trying to delegitimize the Constitution and the rule of law, and the efforts he's taking to do so.
00:00:00.000The FBI and then the Treasury Department were enlisted in this caper and they leaned on the bank and the people whose funds were in that bank were denied their funds.
00:00:14.040They somehow pushed this through anyway.
00:00:18.000That's how they froze that bank account.
00:00:20.360And in itself, that sounds boring. But because of the way they did it, this seemingly boring thing is also the opening chapter of a very scary dystopian novel in which the government is seizing your phone records, obtaining all of your text messages and your emails and your iCloud and maybe raiding your house and raiding your office.
00:00:44.200And they are taking or freezing the contents of your bank account when there is no probable cause that you have committed a crime.
00:00:53.320Because what there is is a federal prosecutor's office that will do that stuff anyway, even when their own career prosecutors and a judge tell them there's no crime here.
00:01:05.580So, like I said, this is I recognize this seems like a boring story in terms of all the proper nouns involved here. Right.
00:01:14.760But it is scary in terms of what this means.
00:01:17.400I mean, for me, Donald Trump's intentions are really very clear at this point.
00:01:22.620He is in the process of attempting to undo the constitutional republic.
00:01:28.360His executive branch is in the process of overtaking, of reducing to subservience the legislative and judicial branches of the government, Congress and the courts, so that he can act unilaterally.
00:01:41.080Even within his executive purview, the president is purging anything, anyone that falls short of pledging unshakable loyal to him personally and his personal political project, not the United States, not the Constitution and not we, the people.
00:01:56.080I mean, from the FBI to the Department of Justice to the Federal Trade Commission and on and on and on.
00:02:00.680These institutions, day after day, are being cleared of officials, career officials who may favor the rule of law over Trump's wins, and they are being replaced with loyalists, all in open, flagrant violation of the law, like clearly illegal.
00:02:16.500As The New York Times reports, Trump is using the vast powers of the presidency to hobble his political opponents as well, including bogus investigations into Democratic fundraising platforms, threats to shut down nonprofit organizations he sees as oppositional.
00:02:30.680And it's not just the government or partisan entities.
00:02:34.220Trump wants to dismantle all forms of public opposition to his power grab, starting with all sources of independent authority.
00:02:43.020Any institution with credibility must either be bent to Trump's win or destroyed.
00:02:49.080Right. I don't think that the Trump administration is trying to solve an anti-Semitism problem on campus.
00:02:55.000What the Trump administration is trying to do is destroy universities, and it wants to destroy universities with whatever tools it has.
00:03:02.980And it's destroying universities, I think, for the same reasons as trying to destroy the media or just trying to destroy the court system.
00:03:10.540It wants to, the Trump administration wants to eliminate or neutralize all of the institutions that could be independent sources of authority.
00:03:20.640Donald Trump came to office saying he was going to be a dictator on day one.
00:03:25.660The essence of dictatorship defy the Constitution and laws.
00:03:30.800And we know when dictators come to power, they very seldom voluntarily relinquish that authority.
00:03:37.760He's continued to break the law and judges by that above 80 percent rate across the board of who appointed them are rejecting him.
00:03:47.700We've won orders forcing him to stop targeting 6,000 FBI agents, reinstate over 20,000 federal employees who were wrongly fired,
00:03:59.600reinstate she's back at work, the head of the Federal Labor Relations Authority.
00:04:04.980And then in this latest victory, for the first time, it's a landmark case.
00:04:11.700A federal judge said Elon Musk and Doge unconstitutionally fed USAID into the wood chipper.
00:04:20.120No wonder Donald Trump and Stephen Miller and the other members of this administration are so angry.
00:04:25.720They're losing. And it's waking up political and popular opposition to this dictatorship.
00:04:31.840I mean, again, he says this every day.
00:04:34.360He's repeatedly threatened independent media outlets, including this one for coverage he deems to be insufficiently fawning.
00:04:40.560He said that he thinks it's illegal, that people should be in jail.
00:04:43.300He is currently conducting an unprecedented attack on American higher education, including just today,
00:04:48.900freezing one hundred and seventy five million dollars in federal funding to his own alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania.
00:04:54.180He's openly defying the Constitution. He tries to deport illegal residents for his protected political speech.
00:05:03.320This is it, man. This is he's trying it. I'm not saying he's being successful.
00:05:07.320I'm not saying that, you know, all is lost and they're going to win and, you know, doom and gloom.
00:05:13.420But they're trying to do it. They're trying to get rid of independent voices of authority, purge them.
00:05:22.400What is important here is that this one quite bananas prosecutor's office for the moment.
00:05:28.720They have been stopped from doing the one thing that they were trying to get away with that really does afford the possibility of Trump just opening the floodgates against.
00:05:40.760Democrats, Democrats, protesters, journalists, government officials, potentially judges.
00:05:49.580They have finally been stopped, at least for the moment, from doing something that I think.
00:07:09.960What conservatives, Republicans have talked about since Ronald Reagan will take place later this afternoon at the White House.
00:07:17.200That is the eradication of the Department of Education.
00:07:20.420We're going to go momentarily to Brian Glenn.
00:07:22.900We've also got Eli Crane is going to join us.
00:07:26.120Massive news out of London this morning about the Ukraine situation on looks like no American security guarantee even going to be considered.
00:07:42.320I just want to make sure the War Room posse understands something.
00:07:45.700Of all the years we've been at this and fighting, and even in the darkest days of the comeback of President Trump after they stole the election.
00:07:56.080This is, we're in now for the hardest fight, and that's why I wanted to tee up.
00:07:59.660What you're seeing on MSNBC and somewhat on CNN, but the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Guardian, MSNBC, that is what Democratic activists and people that follow politics, the Democratic Party, are being saturated with constantly.
00:08:23.860But the stakes are so high, I wanted to make sure people understood at the end, Rachel Maddow said, people are seriously thinking about fleeing the country.
00:08:37.100As I've said before, there can be no compromise here.
00:08:39.880One side's going to win and one side's going to lose.
00:08:42.680We always try to structure this around or frame it around ideas, because ideas have consequences.
00:08:50.320The unitary executive theory that the President of the United States and the office of the President, doesn't matter if it's Donald Trump or not, has sole authority over the executive branch.
00:09:05.540And this fight now is not really with Congress, which back when Bush and these guys tried to do a worded-down version, it was.
00:09:14.880This is about whether the courts are a co-equal branch or whether the courts are supreme, because right now, the Democrats having nothing, no political traction, are trying to use the courts to shut down President Trump across the board.
00:09:31.020This is how little the Democrats have.
00:10:17.500And it's actually, as we had Alex Jones on yesterday, getting quite violent from the Democrats, whether they're burning Tesla dealerships or doxing and intimidating Tesla owners,
00:10:27.600or whether they're doing swatting and trying to have assassination by a cop of leading figures in right-wing media.
00:10:58.100That will take place today at 3.30 in the Oval Office.
00:11:02.820And scheduled at 4 p.m. in the East Room, Steve, is what's been described as an educational event.
00:11:09.900I would imagine very much the imaging, like we saw back when President Trump signed that EO to keep men out of women's sports,
00:11:18.460which I envision, and this is just my speculation based upon the information I have,
00:11:22.760you'll have parents, teachers, kids gathered for this event, because as you just laid out in your open here,
00:11:29.740this is a highly controversial but much-needed action by the President who has promised on the campaign trail to do away with the Department of Education,
00:11:38.300which, by the way, oversees over 50 million students, 98,000 public schools, and just thousands of districts around the country.
00:11:47.340And as it was implemented under Jimmy Carter back in 1979, 1980, when it got in place,
00:11:53.440we have seen test scores dive, and the rest of the country surpass the United States in terms of education.
00:11:59.700And we are the most developed country in the world.
00:12:02.580We should have the best students, the best schools, and that has not been the case.
00:12:05.480But this will now kick down, Steve, to a local state level where they can make the decisions there.
00:12:46.160This is why we've got to get any money in there and send it back to the states to get to K-12 and cut out the credential class.
00:12:52.800The reason you have so many deadbeats that won't pay their college loans back is one of the reasons you've got Department of Education that continues to lift up these woke universities.
00:13:03.140The universities are absolutely where you have to take the fight to.
00:13:06.460That's why there's Department of Education.
00:13:08.220And this is why every Republican has blinked on this.
00:13:13.540Throughout the day, we're going to be checking in.
00:13:15.160Brian Glenn will be in the East Room at 4 o'clock, and potentially, hopefully, if the president opens up the signing, our own Brian Glenn will be there asking the great questions he always asks.
00:13:25.400Brian, what is your social media on this historic day at the White House?
00:13:30.160You can follow me at BrianGlennTV on X and on Facebook and on Instagram, at Brian on True Social.
00:13:37.520I will add, we are the official secondary pull camera for today, so we'll have all the upfront action and questions that I know the War Room Posse expects to hear from me.
00:13:49.680Historical day here at the White House.
00:13:50.940The reason with that is because of the hustle of Parker Sig and the Real America's Voice team and the great presence of Brian Glenn, who is working his tail off over the White House and, of course, our own Natalie Winters.
