Trump responds to California Governor Gavin Newsom's call for him to be arrested, and why he should do so. Trump also talks about the protests in Los Angeles and calls for the use of the National Guard to respond to them.

Transcript

00:00:00.000 Newsom is, he's daring Tom Holman to come and arrest him. Should he do it?
00:00:07.920 I would do it if I were Tom. I think it's great. Of course, Gavin likes the publicity,
00:00:12.400 but I think it would be a great thing. He's done a terrible job. Look,
00:00:17.600 I like Gavin Newsom. He's a nice guy, but he's grossly incompetent. Everybody knows.
00:00:22.000 All you have to do is look at the little railroad he's building. It's about a hundred
00:00:25.840 times over budget. We're putting a flagpole over there under budget. I always do under.
00:00:31.200 What did your intel tell you about these people causing all the problems?
00:00:36.880 Are they people trying to deport or are they professional agitators?
00:00:40.480 People that are causing the problem are professional agitators. They're insurrectionists.
00:00:46.160 They're bad people. They should be in jail. Thank you.
00:00:48.880 Trump is on plan. This has been the plan. Trump has selected California. He selected Los Angeles
00:00:54.960 and he selected Gavin Newsom to wage this first political battle, uh, with the governor.
00:01:00.640 And, and he has been dictating the pace and the terms of everything for the last couple of months.
00:01:06.080 And he's now challenging Newsom and the Democrats and America to stop him. Um,
00:01:11.200 whether or not this is bad for Newsom or bad for Trump, it's bad for America. It's bad for our democracy.
00:01:16.720 It's bad for the troops in uniform. It's bad for ice. It's bad for the protesters. It's bad for
00:01:21.680 everyone. Uh, who it's not bad for is Vladimir Putin and North Korea and any other enemies that
00:01:26.880 want to celebrate America divided. So I think this is a test case for Trump on whether or not he can
00:01:33.040 roll over Newsom. Uh, is, is Newsom going to be a martyr or is he going to be an example of what
00:01:38.160 can happen in other states? But I think Trump is on plan. He's moving forward and he's going to
00:01:42.720 continue to do this and challenge other governors in days to come. But he picked Newsom and now,
00:01:47.440 now it's on. What do you make, what do you make of the fact that he says you want a civil war
00:01:53.200 on the streets of America? No, that's just the opposite. I don't want a civil war. A civil war
00:01:59.040 would happen if you left it, if you left it to people like him and I liked him, you know,
00:02:03.520 I always got along with him, never had a problem with him, but he's grossly incompetent. He's an
00:02:09.200 incompetent governor. Look at the job he's doing in California. He's destroying one of our great states.
00:02:14.400 And if I didn't get involved, if we didn't bring the guard in and we would bring more in if we
00:02:19.600 needed it because we have to make sure there's going to be law and order. Uh, you had, uh, a disaster
00:02:26.080 happening and they now admit it was a disaster. I watched the, uh, chief yesterday. He was a good
00:02:31.120 man, by the way. And he said, well, we're lucky we did this because they would have, they were
00:02:36.400 overwhelmed. You saw what was happening. So we did the right thing. Everybody agrees to that.
00:02:42.480 But, uh, you have a governor who let the city burn down, didn't, didn't want water
00:02:47.120 to be sent down to him. And I sent billions of gallons of water. I said, I wanted to do it in
00:02:52.960 the first term. They wouldn't do it over. I don't know. They have environmental reasons,
00:02:57.200 but there were no environmental reasons. It's a, I think it's just a political philosophy,
00:03:02.320 but, um, it's lucky for the people in Los Angeles and in California that we did what we did. We got it
00:03:09.760 just in time. It's still simmering a little bit, but not very much career. Pentagon was sort of
00:03:15.200 scrambling last night to figure out what to do. The last thing they want is active duties,
00:03:22.240 troops taking on protesters on American streets. They fought mightily against that during the George
00:03:29.760 Floyd, uh, protests. Uh, and this is something that nobody thought that this,
00:03:35.280 these, these demonstrations that were, that seemed to be sort of routine demonstrations on,
00:03:40.160 on Friday night would ignite into something that will require this level of military, uh,
00:03:46.560 military intervention, especially when you have coming up this weekend, this Trump military
00:03:54.720 parade, army birthday, military parade that Washington DC is bracing for. You had
00:04:00.000 all of these M one Abrams tanks arriving. They're going to be, uh, all, there's going to be all this
00:04:06.400 military hardware rolling down the streets of Washington DC. And then there's a very real worry
00:04:12.400 again, uh, among the career and professional military of this sort of look that we are militarizing the
00:04:21.440 country. The big picture is Los Angeles is a so-called, uh, majority minority city in a majority minority
00:04:28.480 state. There are more people of color that live in Los Angeles than white people, uh,
00:04:32.960 at this point. And many of those people are undocumented. Some, by some counts, 10% of the
00:04:37.360 population of LA County, one of the largest counties, the largest county by population in
00:04:42.000 the United States is undocumented, maybe as many as a million people. Those people are our neighbors,
00:04:47.120 our coworkers, uh, our classmates, uh, our friends, our parishioners, fellow parishioners and churches.
00:04:53.520 Um, they are part of the fabric of the city of Los Angeles and not in the last many decades under
00:04:59.680 democratic nor Republican presidents, despite the fact that you had presidents with big deportation
00:05:05.680 programs, democratic and Republican, as you have so often reported, have we seen the type of
00:05:10.720 immigration enforcement we saw play out on the streets of Los Angeles, uh, on Friday. And that struck
00:05:17.040 fear into the heart of not just the undocumented community here, but of many U S citizen family
00:05:23.920 members of undocumented people and many U S citizens who know those people, um, because that is removing
00:05:30.240 people from this community, uh, who had been here, uh, if not their entire life, virtually their entire
00:05:35.760 lives. There are so many mixed status families that live in Los Angeles that might have an undocumented
00:05:41.360 parent or relative and U S citizen child or cousin, um, who we've talked about this before the family
00:05:50.240 separation policy of the first Trump administration in 2018 was a deliberate ripping apart of parents
00:05:54.960 and children at the border, um, to separate those families and inflict pain on those families.
00:06:01.120 But when I say mass deportation is family separation, when I say those signs that were held up
00:06:05.760 on the floor of the Republican convention, as I talked to you from the floor of that convention
00:06:11.280 was a sign of what was to come and why that is also a form of family separation. It is family
00:06:16.080 separation in the interior. It's taking parents away from their children, not at the border and not
00:06:21.040 in detention centers, but at a home Depot on the street corner, uh, or outside of a school, uh, or, um,
00:06:29.680 at a workplace in the fashion district where they might be working in a factory. It's a different
00:06:33.840 form of family separation. And it's exactly the intent of this administration modeled after Nicole
00:06:39.600 Dwight D Eisenhower's 1954 operation with a name. So racist, I'm not going to say it here to you right
00:06:44.560 now, but there resulted in a million Mexicans and some Mexican Americans being sent to Mexico
00:06:51.360 in the wake of the Bracero program coming here legally in the 1950s. That's what the Trump administration
00:06:57.040 is modeling this program after that's their stated goal. They've talked about it.
00:07:04.560 This is the primal scream of a dying regime. Pray for our enemies because we're going to medieval on
00:07:12.800 these people. Here's the reason I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people. The
00:07:18.960 people have had a belly full of it. I know you don't like hearing that. I know you try to do everything
00:07:23.200 in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it. It's going to happen. And where do people
00:07:26.800 like that go to share the big line? Mega media. I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people
00:07:34.880 had a conscience. Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose? If that answer is to save my
00:07:42.560 country, this country will be saved. War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Band.
00:07:49.600 I love Soboroff of MSNBC saying our colleagues, he means his gardener, his nanny, his maid. These
00:08:03.040 people are so hypocritical. Monday, 9 June, Year of our Lord 2025. It's only ratcheting up in Los
00:08:11.440 Angeles. My understanding from high officials that they're going to double or triple the number of
00:08:17.040 of ICE raids today, as they should. We've got 10 million illegal alien invaders to get out that
00:08:25.280 came in on Biden's watch, including 2 million at Gottaways. Ben Berquam joins. I'm going to get
00:08:30.400 back into the Pentagon. The MSNBC reporter for the Pentagon, which I agree with Jack Posovic.
00:08:35.760 Her press credential should be removed immediately. She not only questions whether there's there's a
00:08:42.720 political appointees in permanent uniform military services and civilians, but she basically says
00:08:49.040 they're not paying it. They're not going to pay attention to, and they totally disagree with
00:08:53.760 the commander in chief. We know that's not true. So they're either committing treason by not following
00:08:59.760 the commander in chief, which they're sworn to do, or she's lying and should be removed. I want to go to
00:09:06.720 Ben Berquam. Ben, my understanding is ICE is not dialing down today, but the things can
00:09:12.640 heat up. They're also sending, they're supposed to have additional, I think,
00:09:18.240 uh, uh, revolutionary activity this evening, but they're building to a crescendo this Saturday
00:09:23.760 when president Trump has the 250th anniversary of the army's formation, uh, around the country.
00:09:29.920 They're going to, they have a no Kings rally everywhere where they're going to try to disrupt,
00:09:35.120 uh, the unity, uh, in the, uh, in the celebratory nature this Saturday with the American people.
00:09:40.960 Uh, you're what's going on in LA Ben. Yeah, uh, Steve, you're right. Uh, this is coordinated
00:09:47.600 and it's just beginning. Uh, we're seeing it right now. They're just starting to ramp up. I'm
00:09:52.000 just a couple blocks away from where they burned those cars this morning. This is the ice building.
00:09:56.560 I was at this morning while it was pretty quiet. Uh, you've got, uh, the groups coming out. They
00:10:00.560 just had a big protest, SEIU and all the unions, which is ironic, uh, labor unions out in support of
00:10:06.400 illegal aliens, which if you are in a labor union, you should not support your, your dues going to
00:10:11.200 that union if they're supporting illegal aliens coming in. But now we've got this group, multiple
00:10:16.480 groups, uh, Antifa and, and different violent agitators are out here. Uh, they're planning on
00:10:22.320 more violence today, just around the corner of the building, uh, is where the, the fires were lit
00:10:27.120 on the vehicles. We've got police lined up right now, blocking the entrances to the freeways,
00:10:32.320 trying to prevent them from going onto the freeways. We've got school kids that were coming out
00:10:36.960 that were being taught Marxism, being let out of their schools early to come out to join this.
00:10:41.520 We've got national guard on the other side of the building and actually just over
00:10:44.880 my shoulder here by the hospital, we got national guard lined up. So it's set up to be another one
00:10:50.000 of these situations. But to your, your earlier point, ice is not backing down. President Trump's
00:10:55.520 not backing down. Uh, Tom Homan's not backing down. They're just getting started. And the whole point
00:10:59.680 of this is to try to intimidate them to into stopping the deportations.
00:11:06.800 Why is, is ice going to come out this afternoon at me? Why are they not picking these people up at
00:11:10.640 the, uh, at the, at these, uh, at these, um, uh, demonstrations? Because they're not, they're not
00:11:16.720 peaceful protests. They turned violent at these violent, uh, examples of what they're trying to
00:11:21.440 accomplish. Why don't the police, why don't they just take these people and ice storm in the, uh,
00:11:25.840 in the back and ship them out, sir? Yeah, they should be, they should be checking every single
00:11:33.360 person here. I mean, when you're flying a Mexican flag, there's a truck driving around
00:11:37.040 flying a Mexican flag. There's a lot of them out here. If you're out here burning the American flag
00:11:41.680 and waving some other foreign countries flag, we should check your papers on the spot. And if you're
00:11:46.000 here illegally, you should be deported. Now, whether or not that's happening, I don't know. I have heard
00:11:50.240 different reports that ice is actually picking people up when they arrest them. If they arrest
00:11:54.480 them for some violent act, they're checking whether they're here legally and they are deporting
00:11:58.560 or working on deporting those people. But you're right. I mean, they should be out in every single
00:12:02.240 one of these crowds and, and going through every single one of the people that are out here,
00:12:05.920 especially if you weren't waving a foreign country's flag. One of the, one of the engine room
00:12:11.120 participants this morning sent me something that Glendale, uh, voted today to, to, um, I think
00:12:16.480 their city council voted to pull the contract for ice to basically share the, uh, the jail facility.
00:12:23.360 Uh, what about these government officials that are getting in the way? Is there any, um,
00:12:27.760 is there any, for instance, Bass, uh, Newsome, all of them have been smack talking the entire time.
00:12:34.880 Why are we not taking action to arrest these people? You know, I, I don't know. I don't,
00:12:40.640 I don't have an answer for you on that, Steve. It's frustrating. I mean, you look at the left,
00:12:45.360 they can, they can actually do an invasion into our country. Here we go. We got some more of these
00:12:50.240 lovely people here waving their foreign countries flag, FI. By the way, that's, uh, there you go.
00:12:55.520 That's, that's, that's, that's America. Put the camera back over. Put the camera back. I only see
00:12:59.840 you in your face. Uh, excuse me, your beautiful visage right there. That's what I want to see.
00:13:05.200 They're in your grill. Yeah. To them, this is Mexico. Yeah. Sorry about the, uh, just,
00:13:10.320 just, just stay, just stay right there. This is, I, I want people to understand how in your face they
00:13:17.520 are. Right. They're just, they're mocking you. This is not your country. This is Mexico.
00:13:26.960 Right. And they're going to continue to do that. This is why, this is why you've, you've got the, uh,
00:13:32.640 you've got the, um, the Palestinian flag. You have the Mexican flag. You know, you're nothing but a
00:13:39.520 colonizer. You're nothing. You are here illegally.
00:13:46.160 By the way, Ben Berkwam, stay right there. Can I get Ben's face again? I got to see that.
00:13:52.320 Our star, Ben Berkwam. I don't need a split screen of me. Wrong decision. Okay.
00:13:58.560 Today, Sly Stone from Sly and the Family Stone is dead at the age of 82, an American original.
00:14:07.040 We're going to play some of his music today throughout the, uh, throughout the day.
00:14:10.960 At the age of 16, I think it was 17 July, 1970, in the Richmond arena, which is basically a, um,
00:14:17.920 a trolley car barn turned into a basketball arena. At 16, I was there for a blanket concert.
00:14:24.960 It's supposed to start at 8.30 in the evening. The opening act came on, I think, at 8.30.
00:14:31.600 Sly and the Family Stone, as was their want, came on a little later. I think it was one in the morning.
00:14:37.840 They didn't have a curfew back then. I think these guys played to, uh, Sly and the Family Stone played,
00:14:42.720 I don't know, two or three. We're going to play some music in tribute. Short commercial break,
00:14:48.160 back to Los Angeles in a moment.
00:15:00.240 This July, there is a global summit of BRICS nations in Rio de Janeiro, the block of emerging
00:15:05.760 superpowers, including China, Russia, India, and Persia are meeting with the goal of displacing the
00:15:12.720 United States dollar as the global currency. They're calling this the Rio Reset. As BRICS
00:15:19.360 nations push forward with their plans, global demand for U.S. dollars will decrease,
00:15:23.680 bringing down the value of the dollar in your savings. While this transition won't not happen
00:15:29.360 overnight, but trust me, it's going to start in Rio. The Rio Reset in July marks a pivotal moment
00:15:36.640 when BRICS objectives move decisively from a theoretical possibility towards inevitable reality.

00:16:27.920 Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:16:33.440 Okay, Denver, do we have my clip? Just tell me when it's ready. Okay, just tell me when it's ready. We're
00:16:39.440 going to play it for Jack Posovic. Ben Berquam, what are you hearing about additional and further ice
00:16:46.240 raids? I think they should have come out and announced, hey, we're going to do two. If this is a baseline,
00:16:50.960 we're going up two or three. The only way to win here is to double and triple down. The media
00:16:57.680 and the left-wing apparatus and deep state that run this country want us to blink, want us to back
00:17:03.840 down. This is why President Trump continues to double down. But unlike 2020, we got to deliver
00:17:09.520 the goods here in the summer of love. It just can't be tweets and talk. It's got to be action.
00:17:13.520 President Trump was thwarted then by Milley and Esper, who basically, to me, committed treason. I
00:17:22.880 don't know why they're not being investigated by DOJ already or by the Pentagon, at least Milley,
00:17:27.680 in some sort of military tribunal. They thwarted him in June of 2020. We know that Bill Barr thwarted
00:17:35.280 him. So he had people around him who were not loyal to him, not loyal to the Constitution. He
00:17:39.520 doesn't have that this time. Let's rock and roll. I also want to say now, Stephen Miller
00:17:46.000 is a godsend to this country. I've known Stephen since he's a very young man. Stephen Miller has
00:17:50.000 always said since I've known him, and I think even before when he was a young man,
00:17:55.840 and I mean a very young man, almost a boy at Santa Monica Junior High School, the middle school,
00:18:02.000 that the battle for America was going to take place in Los Angeles. He has felt this in his bones. He's
00:18:07.200 from L.A. He's one of that magnificent crew of Andrew Breitbart and Alex Marlowe and Stephen
00:18:15.440 Miller and others that all came from kind of West L.A. And it's amazing, this kind of fire-breathing
00:18:22.640 conservatives that have come from there. And Andrew always said the battle for the future
00:18:28.000 America is going to be Los Angeles. He was talking culture. Stephen Miller's talking in the streets.
00:18:33.600 And this is where it's going to happen. And Stephen Miller, I'm telling you right now,
00:18:38.880 he is, we didn't have Stephen Miller. He is the mastermind of the domestic policy. And he's
00:18:44.160 mastermind of shutting down the border and giving President Trump all the tools that President
00:18:50.080 Trump can use to actually execute. And that's what President Trump is doing as commander in chief.
00:18:56.480 Also, Stephen, you know, there's a lot of talk about, you know, Elon Musk. I think you might
00:18:59.840 have heard something here on this show once or twice. And Katie Miller, who was fantastic in the
00:19:06.000 first term, married Stephen. They're a power couple. If you think Stephen Miller's smart and tough,
00:19:11.920 he's about half as smart and tough as Katie, the wife. Known her a long time. She is a total and
00:19:17.840 complete hammer. And hey, people saying, oh, well, she went to Elon Musk. Listen, thank God in this
00:19:23.200 republic. We've got somebody like Katie Miller that can manage the insane asylum that is Elon Musk.
00:19:29.600 Katie ought to Katie's got to stay there. It's one of the best things that happened. And she's
00:19:33.680 absolutely a not just a power player. She's a patriot. Both of them. They're a couple that are
00:19:38.240 patriots and they're an enormous pressure and security risk. People don't know this. The security
00:19:44.000 risk to Katie and Stephen has been very high because Stephen's up front. Stephen Miller does not back
00:19:49.680 down. You see him on TV and he lays out and he's kind of the he's one of the quarterbacks here
00:19:54.960 and making it happen. Ben, we would like to see more. We've got, I think, a 29 Palms.
00:20:02.000 We've got a brigade, a battalion, I think, a battalion coming up from potentially coming up from 29
00:20:08.320 Palms of the United States Marines. And I think the audacious Benny Johnson may actually be in bed with
00:20:17.360 them. What do you know? Yeah, that's what I'm hearing. I just saw Benny's post earlier. I'm just
00:20:24.560 we just got some B-roll here. These are the cars that they burned yesterday just going by us. The
00:20:29.280 cleanup just finally wrapped up around the corner from us. But that's what I hear. I hear Benny's
00:20:34.960 embedded with them and they're going to be making their way down here. But to your your other point,
00:20:39.520 I mean, this is one of the things you got to give it to the left. They always circle the wagons and
00:20:43.680 they you know, you look at what they did with the invasion on our southern border. They doubled
00:20:47.360 down. And now when you actually have President Trump rightfully going, you've got ICE and Tom
00:20:52.320 Holman rightfully going and picking up not only illegal aliens, but illegal aliens that committed
00:20:56.640 additional crimes, some of the most heinous you can imagine. The left is doubling down, tripling down,
00:21:02.240 and going after the very people that are sworn to protect our borders, to protect our country,
00:21:07.440 which is what really makes us a country. Yeah.
00:21:09.680 On our side, we're more worried about getting called names. And the American people are sick
00:21:14.480 of it. I mean, when they hear Tom Holman come out and say, we're going to arrest Gavin Newsom,
00:21:18.240 we're going to arrest Karen Bass. They want it to happen now. And the longer it goes on where they
00:21:24.240 don't, the American people just say, well, there we go. The Republicans, big talk again and not doing
00:21:29.440 anything. They want these arrests to happen. And if they don't happen, Stephen's right. This is the
00:21:34.960 death of our country. In fact, the building is spray painted on. You can't see it right now.
00:21:39.520 Death to America. That's the that's what they want.
00:21:44.320 This morning, Ben, I jumped you a little bit because you went back to there are 30 million
00:21:48.880 or more illegal aliens in the country. I totally subscribe to that. I was talking about just
00:21:53.440 the ones that came in on Biden's regime to get out and get out now. And the reason there's this
00:21:59.600 difference is that's the Republican Party never would step up to the plate and say this. This
00:22:06.560 can't happen. We got to deport these people. They were too weak. And the reason is this is hard for
00:22:11.200 President Trump. There's one thing about the bad hombres, the criminals. It's also you've got all of
00:22:17.120 them. Everybody's got to be deported. Hispanic citizens are getting crushed. African-American
00:22:21.920 citizens are getting crushed. Their schools, their health care, the crime in the community and their
00:22:27.600 wages. Nothing's better because of this. Nothing is better for. Yeah. Are the wealthy getting cheaper
00:22:32.880 nannies? Are the wealthy getting their lawns cut cheaper? Remember, they don't really pay the price
00:22:38.080 of because they're getting huge tax cuts. They don't really pay the price for the collapsing medical
00:22:43.280 system and emergency health care system and the education system. That's all dumb. That's that's
00:22:47.440 because the poor use of services. Of course, there's unlimited upside for the wealthy to do this.
00:22:52.800 And this is why you see Soboroth and those guys, you know, they're laughing in your face.
00:22:57.600 This is the this is what Stephen Miller's saying. This is what ICE is doing. It's the deportations.
00:23:02.560 When we opened the show and they said, hey, the trauma of actually people coming in. Yes.
00:23:07.120 People are here illegally. They came here on Biden's watch have got to go. We have program right now for
00:23:13.120 a million. Ben tonight. Tell me how how dice is this thing going to get tonight?
00:23:18.800 That's going to be ugly. It's going to get more and more violent. It's not a safe place to be if
00:23:24.560 you live in L.A. A lot of businesses shut down when this stuff happens because they know these
00:23:29.600 guys are violent thugs. Undoubtedly, they're going to take over the freeways again unless President
00:23:34.320 Trump, unless the National Guard is allowed to do what it needs to do and actually give the spankings
00:23:38.960 that these spoiled little kids deserve. It's going to be really, really ugly. And until the American
00:23:43.680 people say enough is enough and stand up and say, we got your back, President Trump. We got your back,
00:23:48.800 Stephen Miller. We got your back, Tom Holman. That's what we need to see across the country.
00:23:52.560 We need to see counter protests with people coming out and saying, we support you. And thank God,
00:23:56.720 Steve. Thank God for President Trump. Thank God for Tom Holman. Thank God for Stephen Miller,
00:24:02.160 for these guys that have the balls to actually do it. We've had such wussy Republicans for so long
00:24:08.160 to actually have guys that will come out and stand up and actually do what needs to be done.
00:24:13.040 And now we're in that point right now. It's just getting started. It's going to be ugly.
00:24:18.080 Ben, thank you. Social media, where they get you. I may try to track you now for the six
00:24:21.840 o'clock hour because we want updates on this. I agree with you. You're three hours behind us,
00:24:25.920 but as it gets darker out there, it's going to get ugly. The engine room up in Napa Valley did send me,
00:24:30.960 I think they arrested 154 combatants up in San Francisco. They need to have those types of arrests.
00:24:38.640 They need they need to arrest a thousand people plus tonight and not just process them in and out,
00:24:44.080 but I mean, really arrest them for insurrection. Ben Burkwam, your social media.
00:24:51.200 Real America's Voice at Real AM Voice on social media. We're going to start posting some of the
00:24:55.600 videos I've got already. We're going to be obviously getting a lot more tonight. So stay tuned for that.
00:24:59.280 My sub stack, if you want to subscribe, especially paid subscribers, really appreciate it. It's
00:25:02.960 Frontline America on sub stack. And my personal social is just my name, Ben Burkwam. I'll be
00:25:07.840 posting the videos and anything breaks down here, Steve, I'll be getting back to you and Cameron and
00:25:12.320 we'll be jumping back on. Yeah, yeah, you get to us right away. Ben Burkwam on the scene as usual.
00:25:17.840 Can we play this clip from MSNBC? Let's go to play this clip from this morning. I need to differentiate
00:25:23.600 when I say the Pentagon now, because there is the Pentagon that are the political appointees
00:25:28.720 of President Trump. And then there is the professional Pentagon, the military people
00:25:33.760 and the career Pentagon. The career Pentagon was sort of scrambling last night to figure out
00:25:39.360 what to do. The last thing they want is active duty troops taking on protesters on American streets.
00:25:48.080 They fought mightily against that during the George Floyd protests. And this is something that nobody
00:25:56.240 thought that this these demonstrations that were that seemed to be sort of routine demonstrations on
00:26:02.240 on Friday night would ignite into something that will require this level of military military intervention,
00:26:09.680 especially when you have coming up this weekend, this Trump military parade army birthday military
00:26:18.640 parade that Washington, D.C. is bracing for. You had all of these M1 Abrams tanks arriving.
00:26:25.600 They're going to be all there's going to be all this military hardware rolling down the streets of
00:26:30.800 Washington, D.C. And then there's a very real worry again among the career and professional military
00:26:38.640 of this sort of look that we are militarizing the country. I think things are going to have to get
00:26:45.360 a lot worse if you get to the point where American troops are being asked or tasked with shooting
00:26:51.680 protesters. You will then see this discomfort manufacturer in public right now. What you're seeing is
00:26:58.960 just sort of we're going to they're still trying to salute. You have a insurrection. President Trump
00:27:06.000 is is going to initiate the insurrection act. It's just pure purview to do this. I was on BBC this
00:27:14.800 afternoon. It'll be up in a while where the correspondent. Oh, none of these are peaceful
00:27:19.840 protesters. Far from it. This gets back to the joint for the George Floyd situation. Remember Esper and Millie
00:27:25.840 Milly, after he had the situation in Jackson Square, went back and went back and decided
00:27:35.040 amongst themselves that, hey, we can't we're not going to actually report to President Trump as
00:27:40.240 commander. They made a pact between each other. This is why Millie's got to be called back to active
00:27:43.840 duty in court martial go before a military tribunal. Either she's if she I don't understand how Sean
00:27:52.960 Parnell who we've contacts afternoon how she has a press pass to the Pentagon. Let me say something
00:27:59.360 as a junior officer when I came off a sea duty after four years in the destroyers back in the Pentagon
00:28:04.480 working for the chief of naval operations. Hey, the media didn't roll like that.
00:28:08.080 The Pentagon would have pulled that press pass in a second. Short commercial break. Our salute
00:28:15.600 to Sly Stone dead at 82. An American legend and American classic. Short commercial break. David
00:28:22.480 Mamet on the other side. There's something happening with our farmland here in the United States that
00:28:30.720 isn't getting enough attention. The Chinese have been buying up hundreds of thousands of acres of U.S.
00:28:36.720 farmland. They're also taking control over critical supply chains, things like fertilizer,
00:28:42.560 animal feed and farming equipment. Why? It's not clear. They're tightening the grip on global food
00:28:49.520 production. That is clear. And if things go south and it could happen quickly, we need to be ready.
00:28:58.080 That's why I trust my Patriot Supply. They're America's largest emergency preparedness company.

00:30:09.440 The Trump event that the election was stolen, and I was kind of iffy on it, right? Next morning,
00:30:14.400 eight o'clock, the phone rings. The woman on the phone says, Mr. Mayor, what will you hold for the
00:30:20.320 president? I said, wait a second. Biden is calling? It's Trump. He's doing the Biden administration.
00:30:27.280 And he says, David, it's Donald Trump. I say, oh, Mr. President, thank you for calling.
00:30:32.080 To what do I owe the honor? He said, I saw you on Bill Maher yesterday. You were great. He said,
00:30:36.400 but you wussed out on the question of the stolen election. And then he talked to me for like 20 minutes
00:30:42.880 about how the election was stolen. But it wasn't. Well, I think it was.
00:30:48.000 That Deborah had. I'm not talking about the votes. I'm not talking about counting the votes.
00:30:53.120 That the Hunter Biden laptop was suppressed. The COVID information was suppressed.
00:30:59.680 Zuckerberg said himself that the White House pressured him not to bring forward the information
00:31:05.040 on the laptop. And Rasmussen said, had that come out, there would have been a 17-point spread.
00:31:10.480 Oh, please. They're not. They don't see them.
00:31:14.640 So you like me have built a career out of nothing except talent and a little bit of luck and a lot
00:31:20.400 of hard work. But you're full of s**t. I don't understand what you say that he did not say the
00:31:25.600 words I concede caused half the country, which you just said, to riot.
00:31:30.160 No, I didn't say half the country. I got another question. I sit down and all of a sudden you're
00:31:35.760 attacking me about, I got to come up. I have to come up with a new idea about Trump and I have to
00:31:41.120 talk. What the hell do you care? Let me ask you a question.
00:31:43.840 First of all, it was not my plan to attack you and I'm sorry if you think I'm attacking you.
00:31:48.960 Well, okay. I'm sorry that you're doing it. You started off with a very, um, um, a very difficult
00:31:55.200 question and a question which you have very strong views and I do too. How would you like this part
00:32:02.080 of the conversation to end so that we can move on to something else? What would end it to your
00:32:08.080 satisfaction? Well, we're at the 20-minute mark so we could just end. Okay. What would end it to your
00:32:12.720 satisfaction? When you want it to end. I don't want to piss you off. I'm your biggest fan. I don't,
00:32:21.040 the fact that we don't agree on something so fundamental is still completely okay with me.
00:32:27.440 I don't, I don't get it the way you don't get me. You just said I'm completely full of .
00:32:31.600 And of course, people who disagree to this level, they think that of the other person. And what we
00:32:36.640 have to do is, of course, learn to live harmoniously with people we just don't agree with that much.
00:32:42.240 So we can just get past this. You're right. We should. And I'm happy to. And there's a million
00:32:47.280 things in here and in the movie that I think are great and I would love to talk about.
00:32:52.480 If you don't have a border, you don't have a country.
00:32:56.960 Talent, hard work, and a little bit of luck. Uh, one of America's leading public intellectuals
00:33:01.680 and one of her greatest playwrights, David Mamet joins me. David, in what world,
00:33:05.680 how do we get to a situation where you have the MAGA movement, uh, and back of President Trump,
00:33:13.280 the hardcores, where we have someone like David Mamet, who used to be a, quite frankly,
00:33:18.080 a fire-breathing liberal is now defending President Trump and defending the MAGA movement, sir.
00:33:23.840 Well, I don't know that I was a fire-breathing liberal. I certainly was a liberal because I
00:33:30.960 was a, uh, uh, uh, a congenital Democrat. And, uh, but I, my politics was limited to
00:33:40.880 all those damned Republicans until I got blacklisted. And then I figured I'd better sit down and figure
00:33:46.880 what's going on with this wonderful country. So I spent a few years, um, fulminating and thinking
00:33:52.960 and writing and, uh, figured out what was going on, which is that we stopped being a constitutional,
00:33:59.040 uh, uh, republic. And that, and that a dedication to feeling rather than to reason and its expression
00:34:10.240 law led as it always leads, uh, to violence. And that's what J.S. Mills said in On Liberty.
00:34:17.440 And that's also Rebecca West said in, you know, the 1950s, she said, every liberal
00:34:24.000 administration always ends in bloodshed. So that's where you find me today, Steve.
00:34:31.280 You were blacklisted for, I think it was a, um, it was an essay you wrote.
00:34:36.480 Did they put it on the cover of Village Voice somewhere?
00:34:38.560 They put it on the cover of, and it exploded. What, what was the topic of the essay?
00:34:43.200 And why did that get you blacklisted?
00:34:45.760 Well, I wasn't blacklisted for the essay. I was blacklisted for the cover of the Village Voice
00:34:50.240 because I was doing a play on Broadway at the time called November, which is a comedy
00:34:54.240 about a president, uh, Nathan Lane played the president. It's a very funny play.
00:34:58.480 And the Village Voice asked me to write an article about the play. So I did. And I said,
00:35:05.040 the play is really about political civility. It's about the craziness that politics could lead us
00:35:11.280 into. And I said, we must be civil to each other. And what's the test of that? I have to be able to
00:35:19.120 say your position such that you say that's correct. You have to be able to say my position such that I
00:35:24.720 say that's correct. And then we adduce facts and any fact upon which we can agree, we can,
00:35:31.840 or we can reason from, but any fact upon which we disagree on either side, we throw off the table.
00:35:37.280 I said, that's political civility. I said, I haven't even been civil to myself over the years
00:35:42.320 because I've been referring to myself as a brain dead liberal.
00:35:44.960 So next week, the Village Voice comes out, the whole front page is why Dave Mamet says,
00:35:51.840 I am no longer a brain dead liberal. And so I was blacklisted. But the funny thing was,
00:35:58.960 when I wrote the article, I was a brain dead liberal and I was admitting it. Isn't that cute?
00:36:05.600 Which a lot of people of my generation, maybe younger, they will say that if you talk to them,
00:36:10.240 say, how can you vote for these policies? I'm a liberal, right? So that's what I was saying,
00:36:16.400 but I ain't a liberal no more. I think that was around 2005. Given what you're seeing on the
00:36:23.920 streets of Los Angeles, can we still in this fight for the country? Is civility, as we fight for this,
00:36:32.160 to save our republic, is civility still high on your list? Well, civility is important.
00:36:40.720 In the halls of Congress, and civility is important in the news, and it's important in the courts. But at
00:36:47.360 some point, a fight is a fight. And when Tim Waltz made them evacuate the police station, that was Fort
00:36:57.760 Sumter. That was the beginning of a pro-Dromal civil war, which we have in front of us now. And there's
00:37:04.080 a great book written by a guy who was a grand duke of Russia, Alexei, a grand duke of Russia. He was the
00:37:09.680 head of the Air Force leading up to World War I. He was the cousin of the Tsar. They were like
00:37:15.600 brothers. And he wrote a book in exile after the Bolshevik Revolution. He said there was nobody home.
00:37:21.440 He said, we could have stopped the Bolsheviks in the suburbs of St. Petersburg with the company of
00:37:28.880 infantry. So at some point, if you are constantly calling at the poker table, someone's going to
00:37:37.440 raise you out and steal all your aunties and send you walking back to Houston. So as I was listening
00:37:42.480 to you earlier, at some point, one has to stand up. And when all other remedies are exhausted,
00:37:49.600 the individual and the state have the right to defend itself.
00:37:55.360 You know California, you know Los Angeles. Is that the moment we're in right now? I mean,
00:37:59.200 the president says, hey, he's going to call for the Insurrection Act. He's already federalized the
00:38:03.760 National Guard over the wishes of the state governor. He is he is about to have a battalion
00:38:10.800 of U.S. Marines active duty actually come up from 29 Palms. Are we at that moment right now in Los
00:38:18.560 Angeles? Well, of course. Yes, of course we are. And what the what people haven't been saying or I
00:38:25.920 haven't been hearing is that the idea of a sanctuary state in the sanctuary city
00:38:33.520 is insurrection. It's it's it's it's and I don't understand. And I know that, you know,
00:38:40.400 Trump wants to wants to wants to do reason first. Of course, he wants to diplomacy first. Of course,
00:38:45.920 he does. But what he's looking at, what we're all looking at is basically sedition and secession.
00:38:51.200 And at some point, either has to stop or the country is going to fall apart.
00:38:58.000 Now, I was raised in Richmond, Virginia, and, you know, I said this. I'd like to have your
00:39:04.080 thoughts on this about the sanctuary cities, sanctuary states is Governor Newsom kind of
00:39:08.640 sounds like a neoconfederate. I mean, there's one thing about federalism, but he's like hardcore
00:39:13.520 states. Right. This is like John C. Calhoun versus Andrew Jackson. Is it not, sir? Well, I don't think
00:39:19.280 he's talking about states rights. I think he's talking about who me and if we don't let the
00:39:25.120 illegals in, who's going to vote for me? Because the constitution is fairly clear and the supremacy
00:39:31.520 clause is fairly clear. And, you know, the the the the insurrection clauses are fairly clear that
00:39:39.040 someone has to stop this rioting and that Bass is not going to do it. And Newsom is not going to do
00:39:46.960 it. And as American citizens, we're entitled to the protection of the law, which is why federal law
00:39:53.760 trumps state law. But it hasn't done so for the last four, six, eight years. And if it doesn't
00:40:03.760 assert itself, we don't have a country left anymore. And that's the issue that Trump ran on and got an
00:40:08.960 overwhelming majority of us fellow Americans to say, yes, that's right. And and that's where we are now.
00:40:15.760 How's it going to end? We don't know. But what we do know is that it's a fight. Could it be settled
00:40:21.660 peacefully? I hope so. But it's going to have to be settled.
00:40:29.920 Well, we thought we settled it peacefully at the ballot box where you said overwhelming and the polls
00:40:34.320 are coming out today. I want to go back, though, something fascinating you said about Tim Waltz and
00:40:38.500 about the summer of love of 2020, where this was not addressed as forthrightly as as as looks like
00:40:46.440 it's being addressed now. You said he had the police leave their the police headquarters. You call that
00:40:52.620 Fort Sumner. What do you mean? Yeah. Well, that was really the first shot of of an escalation and what
00:41:00.940 is a pro-drobal civil war between the people who want to have the rule of law and the Constitution
00:41:08.160 and the people who would rather not.
00:41:10.100 And so we had a summer full of riots because not only individuals who were misguided and some
00:41:23.160 individuals who like chaos and there are a lot of them. But organizations like Black Lives Matter,
00:41:31.020 which sprang into being to capitalize on chaos and anarchy, took a lot of power and scared of a lot of
00:41:39.920 people. And we're still working our way out of that. Where's it going to end? I don't know.
00:41:47.260 What do you think? Before we go to break, I do. I want to pull up something from the book.
00:41:53.400 Trump is a hero in his airs. God willing, will increase the longevity of the American experiment.
00:41:59.540 Do you see that? Is that what this fight's about on the streets of Los Angeles, sir?
00:42:04.620 Of course. Listen, I live here in Los Angeles because I like to be close to my taxes.
00:42:11.080 And my wife grew up in Edinburgh in Scotland. So like anybody from the British Isles,
00:42:15.840 they see this weather. They ain't never leaving. But it's the edge of oppressiveness. We just saw
00:42:22.720 we have to evacuate our home during the fires because Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom and the fire
00:42:29.040 commissioner of L.A. thought the DEI was more important than water. It's a sick community.
00:42:36.400 And it's going to have to, it's either going to be healed or it's going to dissolve and something is
00:42:43.100 going to take a place. But what a lot of the stupid, the idiocy of the left and the fellow travelers,
00:42:49.580 we'll call them, the liberals don't understand, is that anarchy is always an excuse for somebody
00:42:55.800 to take power because someone's always going to take power. So they say, let's do away with the
00:43:00.960 Constitution. Well, what do you replace it with? I don't know. Well, what rules do you employ to
00:43:07.220 determine what you should replace it with? I don't know. Well, then in a legitimate conversation,
00:43:12.720 your next question to the liberal would be, well, don't you think it's a better idea then
00:43:16.320 to keep the Constitution? But they say, no, no, no, we must rely on feelings. What about the poor this?
00:43:23.700 What about the poor that? Well, that's true. But the Jewish law says, do justice, love, mercy in that
00:43:32.600 order. That's not the other way around. David, hang on for one second. David Mamet joins us.
00:43:40.300 The book is Disenlightenment. It is a must read. I'm going to make sure as many as it were and
00:43:47.640 possibly get it as possible. We're going to take a short commercial break. We're going to return
00:43:52.120 with David Mamet in a moment.
00:44:07.460 What if he had the brightest mind in the war room delivering critical financial research every
00:44:14.400 month? Steve Bannon here. War Room listeners know Jim Rickards. I love this guy. He's our wise man,
00:44:20.840 a former CIA, Pentagon and White House advisor with an unmatched grasp of geopolitics and capital
00:44:26.560 markets. Jim predicted Trump's Electoral College victory exactly 312 to 226 down to the actual
00:44:35.000 number itself. Now he's issuing a dire warning about April 11th, a moment that could define Trump's
00:44:41.880 presidency in your financial future. His latest book, Money GPT, exposes how AI is setting the stage
00:44:49.060 for financial chaos, bank runs at lightning speeds, algorithm driven crashes, and even
00:44:54.780 threats to national security. Right now, war room members get a free copy of Money GPT when they sign
00:45:00.900 up for strategic intelligence. This is Jim's flagship financial newsletter, strategic intelligence.
00:45:07.580 I read it. You should read it. Time is running out. Go to Rickardswarroom.com. That's all one word,
00:45:13.240 Rickardswarroom.com. Rickards with an S. Go now and claim your free book. That's Rickardswarroom.com.
00:45:20.800 Do it today. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:45:27.460 David, you talked to Bill Maher on his podcast about you had been on television or President Trump
00:45:32.400 had seen you and then he called you the next day or called you shortly thereafter and said,
00:45:38.560 I wanted to make sure you understood about the stolen election of 2020. How did that conversation go?
00:45:44.560 It was great. David, I talked to him several times when we were both in the entertainment business. I
00:45:51.280 hadn't talked to him since, but I said, my God. I said, Mr. President, thank you for everything, blah,
00:45:55.480 blah, blah. No, he said, okay, okay, okay. But he says, well, you know, the election was stolen. I said,
00:46:00.160 yes, sir, Mr. President, right. You're absolutely correct. I backed off, which is a big mistake. A lot
00:46:05.280 of people make it today. They're called liberals, right? Well, why get into trouble? But he said,
00:46:11.540 well, the counting of the ballots, obviously, and the fake ballots and the mail-in ballots and the lack
00:46:20.320 of voter ID and Zuckerberg getting strong-armed and the Russia collusion hoax and blah, blah. But he
00:46:30.740 went down. He was great. I thought, yeah, okay. You know, I'm with you.
00:46:38.440 He's got it. Your first directorial effort was House of Games, which is an American classic.
00:46:44.200 You've just finished the film, Henry Johnson. Can you tell us about it?
00:46:47.680 Yeah, yeah. I did a movie with Shia LaBeouf and Evan John, a guy called Henry Johnson.
00:46:51.580 You can get it at henryjohnsonmovie.com. And it's a play about a guy who's so involved in doing good
00:46:59.480 that he destroys everyone he touches. And he goes from being a well-thought-of executive in some
00:47:05.520 outfit to being tried for embezzlement, to going to jail, and eventually getting involved in a jail
00:47:12.800 break and ends up as a murderer. And then the fun begins. So we had a great time doing that. And I'm
00:47:19.280 about to start doing another movie in the fall. So I went back after about 10 years. The previous
00:47:24.300 movie I did for HBO was Phil Spector with Al Pacino. So I'm now going to go back after Henry
00:47:29.800 Johnson and shoot another brand new movie in the fall.
00:47:34.060 So you're getting back into both writing and directing?
00:47:38.140 Yeah, that's right.
00:47:40.360 How did you hit such a home run with House of Games? I mean, normally someone's first
00:47:45.920 director is tough. That film is an absolute classic. Of course, the cast, you absolutely
00:47:51.360 had a loaded cast. But tell me about that.
00:47:54.860 Well, Peter Yates, the great director, Peter Yates, who directed, among other things, Bullet
00:48:01.300 and Robbery and Friends of Eddie Coils, Brit, but is a terrific American-ish director. He was
00:48:09.380 going to direct it, but he fell out at the last minute. So he had this whole movie ready to go.
00:48:14.900 And he said, well, why don't you direct it? So I said, well, okay. I said, I did a lot of directing
00:48:19.400 in the theater. And I've done a lot of, watched 10,000, 20,000 movies. I got to sit down and plan
00:48:26.960 the thing out to the last syllable of recorded time. Because other than that, I have no experience
00:48:33.440 movie directing to fall back on. So I was saying it's like when you fly an airplane, when you do
00:48:38.760 your first solo, when you get your, you do your first solo. The first time you're alone in an
00:48:44.260 airplane, they say, okay, do three landings. And everybody says, they're going to be the best
00:48:48.900 landings of your life. Because you got, right? All you have is precepts and technique. And you say to
00:48:58.940 yourself, you take off, you're doing your solo. The first thing you say, this is great. And the
00:49:04.200 second thing you say is, Lord have mercy, there's nobody in this stupid plane but me.
00:49:12.180 Henry Johnson, was that a play first? Or is this an original screenplay that you then decided to
00:49:17.680 direct?
00:49:18.660 No, I wrote it as a play for Shia LaBeouf. And we did it. My friend Marjorie Lewis Ryan directed it
00:49:23.360 in a little ADC theater in Los Angeles. And then we finished our run. And the guy said, well,
00:49:29.380 let's do it as a movie. So we did it at the time of my life doing it.
00:49:34.140 Well, tell me about, how did you get this idea? Someone that's always doing good, all of a sudden
00:49:39.040 everything he touches turns awful? Or he hurts people because everything he wants to do and
00:49:45.700 everything he does is good?
00:49:47.760 Well, it has to do with abortion. And I said that they should advertise the film by saying,
00:49:54.620 it's not about abortion. Because that's a pretty good advertising line. But I met a guy and I was
00:50:00.460 talking to him. He's a friend of a friend. And they said, come over for dinner with me and my wife
00:50:04.840 this weekend. He said, I can't. I'm going up to Tehachapi Prison. I said, oh, why are you going to
00:50:10.940 Tehachapi? What's up? He said, well, I'm going to go see a friend of mine. He's not really a friend.
00:50:14.440 He's an acquaintance. He's up there doing six years for rape and manslaughter. I said,
00:50:23.380 uh-huh. Tell me the story. He said, well, there's this guy. I knew him from college. He's a friend
00:50:28.360 of a friend. And he has this affair with this young woman. And she gets pregnant. And he says,
00:50:33.960 I want you to abort the child. And she says, I don't want to. And he says, well, I'll give you
00:50:39.500 money to abort the child. She said, I'd really rather not. So they spend one last night together.
00:50:44.580 They have a wild fling. And while they're having sex, he introduces an abortifacient into her body
00:50:50.460 and kills the child. So he gets tried. And he goes to jail for six years. And so this friend
00:50:57.460 of a friend is going to Tehachapi to visit him. I said, well, you're going to visit this guy?
00:51:02.000 And my friend says, well, you know, I think he's paying his debt to society. I said, I don't think
00:51:07.780 he's paying his debt to society. I think he's being punished. How can he? He doesn't have a debt to
00:51:12.040 society. He has an undischargeable debt to that woman and her child. Now he says, no, no,
00:51:20.140 you're certainly you're absolutely wrong. My friend says he deserves compassion. And when he
00:51:25.960 gets out, I'm going to see that he gets a job. So I started thinking about thinking, that's crazy.
00:51:32.300 That's absolutely nuts. And then now we find out that all the people on death row were probably
00:51:39.560 pardoned by some staffer, some second level staffer in the White House. So if we don't have a criminal
00:51:49.820 system, everything always devolves to, quote, compassion, we're in a lot of trouble. You
00:51:55.640 know, another Jewish thing is compassion to the evil is tyranny to the good. So that's what this
00:52:07.120 movie is about. And I'm really happy with it. It's a really good film.
00:52:10.860 Henryjohnson.com. We're going to push it more in the second hour.
00:52:15.240 Take a short commercial break. David Mamet's going to stick around with us.
00:52:19.500 Thank you.
