Trump signs an executive order creating a secondary name for the Department of Defense, calling it the Department of War. What does this mean for the future of America s most lethal fighting force? And why is this a good thing?

Transcript

00:00:00.000 When the first world war, we won the second world war.
00:00:02.960 We won everything before that and in between.
00:00:06.080 And then we decided to go.
00:00:07.240 Well, can we change the name to Department of Defense?
00:00:09.680 So we're going Department of War.
00:00:12.320 And I'd like to ask our secretary of war to say a few words.
00:00:18.760 Pete Hex said, I think it's a much more appropriate name,
00:00:21.360 especially in light of where the world is right now.
00:00:25.200 We have the strongest military in the world.
00:00:27.160 We have the greatest equipment in the world.
00:00:28.960 We have the greatest manufacturers of equipment by far.
00:00:32.440 There's nobody to even compete.
00:00:34.360 And you see that with this and so many other things.
00:00:38.360 The patriots are the best.
00:00:39.600 Every element of the military, we make the best by far.
00:00:42.640 Again, tonight with Donald Trump's use of the American military
00:00:45.880 to advance an authoritarian vision, sidestepping congressional oversight
00:00:49.920 and putting US service members in the middle of his politics.
00:00:53.760 Today, Donald Trump signed an executive order creating a secondary name
00:00:58.080 for the Department of Defense, calling it the quote unquote Department of War.
00:01:03.560 And official name change would require an act of Congress,
00:01:07.480 which is why we won't be using that name on our show.
00:01:10.760 Words matter, people, and the administration is telling us in no uncertain terms how it intends to wield the world's most lethal fighting force.
00:01:19.160 Indeed, the Department of Defense was called the Department of War until an amendment to the National Security Act in 1949.
00:01:26.240 The nation had just been through two world wars and tensions with Soviet Russia were escalating.
00:01:31.720 The name Department of Defense made America's priorities very, very clear.
00:01:36.640 Protecting individual liberties and democracy and not flippantly entering wars that put lives at risk.
00:01:42.720 Trump actually did campaign on no new wars, but today's order sends a very different message.
00:01:48.640 Donald Trump sees the American military as a means to centralize power until we are one nation under Trump.
00:01:56.120 In the midst of all the other chaos and drama and terror, I think this is the most important story in America and maybe in the world.
00:02:02.880 Explain.
00:02:03.360 Trump has hijacked the levers of power around our military period.
00:02:06.920 There is no transparency. There is no accountability.
00:02:09.360 Congress has been totally steamrolled.
00:02:11.240 And now he can effectively do whatever he wants with the military that he's now calling the Department of War, ranging from striking on Iran to hitting drug dealers in Venezuela to in 2019, sending the Navy SEALs into North Korea to sending the National Guard into L.A. and now Chicago.
00:02:27.720 The guardrails are gone.
00:02:29.320 This is the most dangerous course of action.
00:02:31.440 This is what we worried about with Donald Trump.
00:02:33.400 And if you get lost in all the other drama and RFK and everything else, remember, he has access to the nukes.
00:02:38.920 And he could make the same argument to use nukes that he's made for the National Guard and hitting Iran and everything else.
00:02:44.160 This is the story.
00:02:45.320 It is the central story.
00:02:46.720 And it's why he started with Hegseth.
00:02:48.120 It's why he's always focused on the Pentagon, because that's where the power is.
00:02:52.000 And he's rolling it out in bits and pieces every single week.
00:02:54.680 And he's trying to normalize it.
00:02:56.480 And that's what we have to push back on.
00:02:58.200 Most of all, none of this is normal.
00:02:59.480 None of it is acceptable.
00:03:01.280 And all of it is dangerous.
00:03:02.840 He wants to rebrand it the Department of War for what purpose?
00:03:06.440 I think the rebranding is just speaking to the macho factor that you were talking about earlier in the show that that hyper masculinity has always been so linked and a part of Trumpism that it's not shocking to me that the same person, Pete Hegseth, who went before the Senate and touted as almost a true credential his desire to make the military lethal and feared again.
00:03:28.400 And that was his central argument for being the head of the Pentagon, despite all of the allegations against him of drinking and of sexual misconduct and that he didn't know how to manage funds or large bureaucracies.
00:03:40.600 All of those were really tangible things.
00:03:42.660 And yet his credential was, I want to be lethal.
00:03:44.960 And that masculinity has always been enough.
00:03:47.420 And a really important point to answer your second part of your question.
00:03:49.880 He's making Americans scared of our military.
00:03:52.060 He's making the world scared of our military, but he's also making Americans scared of our military, which is a very dangerous place to be.
00:03:58.920 There is the old saying, send the country first, then send the troops.
00:04:01.760 He continues to send the troops without popular support.
00:04:05.100 This is like Vietnam on steroids.
00:04:06.900 This is the worst case scenario of the AUMF and Trump combined.
00:04:10.140 He is lowering the popularity of the institution that Americans until recently respect more than anything else.
00:04:16.280 So now they're afraid of the National Guard coming into Chicago.
00:04:19.060 Can I ask you another Florida question?
00:04:21.060 The vaccine mandates that were brought back for school children.
00:04:25.600 What do you think about that?
00:04:26.800 Well, I think we have to be very careful.
00:04:28.400 Look, you have some vaccines that are so amazing.
00:04:31.360 The polio vaccine, I happen to think, is amazing.
00:04:35.360 A lot of people think that COVID is amazing.
00:04:39.360 You know, there are many people that believe strongly in that.
00:04:42.540 But you have some vaccines that are so incredible.
00:04:45.540 And I think you have to be very careful when you say that some people don't have to be vaccinated.
00:04:51.820 It's a very, you know, it's a very tough position.
00:04:54.840 So I'd give you an answer.
00:04:57.480 I'll give you a feeling.
00:04:59.020 But just initially, I heard about it yesterday.
00:05:02.280 And it's a tough stance.
00:05:05.500 Look, you have vaccines that work.
00:05:07.080 They're just pure and simple work.
00:05:09.000 They're not controversial at all.
00:05:10.420 And I think those vaccines should be used.
00:05:13.400 Otherwise, some people are going to catch it and they endanger other people.
00:05:17.160 And when you don't have controversy at all, I think people should take it.
00:05:22.780 So, you know, not only are we seeing, you know, some of these high profile military actions, you know, the 2019 strike, the New York Times reported today, the Venezuelan strike that do raise serious questions.
00:05:32.920 And that, you know, Pete Hegseth is somehow the one overseeing.
00:05:36.140 But also, we're now learning that the senators who can put guardrails on this, who can reveal information about what's going wrong to the public, are being shut out.
00:05:44.160 But I also think you're watching some of those senators who are willing to be critical, whether it's Tom Tillis or Joni Ernst, who at one point waffled on Hegseth and then ultimately was herself pushed back into line.
00:05:53.640 They are choosing now to leave the Senate, not run for reelection, because the writing is on the wall that you're either with them or you're against them.
00:06:01.320 And if you're against them, it's not going to last long anyway.
00:06:03.860 And I think that's the deeper, more long lasting impact here of what what Trumpism will do even after Trump is gone, which is that the party is entirely remade in his image now in the House, certainly in the Senate now after the 2026 cycle.
00:06:19.720 Yeah.
00:06:19.960 OK, but I want.
00:06:21.060 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:06:28.300 Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on these people.
00:06:33.540 You're just not going to free shot all these networks lying about the people.
00:06:37.800 The people have had a belly full of it.
00:06:39.700 I know you don't like hearing that.
00:06:41.140 I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
00:06:43.820 It's going to happen.
00:06:44.880 And where do people like that go to share the big line?
00:06:48.500 MAGA media.
00:06:49.400 I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:06:55.280 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:06:59.040 If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:07:05.360 War Room.
00:07:06.240 Here's your host, Stephen K.
00:07:08.220 It's Saturday, 6th September in the year of our Lord, 2025.
00:07:19.180 Welcome to the Saturday show.
00:07:20.340 As you know, our favorite show of the week.
00:07:25.080 What's our three watchwords here?
00:07:27.740 Maximalist strategy, right?
00:07:30.140 Urgent.
00:07:30.540 You have to get it done today because we are burning daylight and seize the institutions.
00:07:37.800 Now, what do we say here about, you know, you've got the courts, obviously the Supreme Court and the legal system, quite important.
00:07:43.560 But the three most powerful institutions in the imperial capital, as I say over and over again, are the CIA, the Federal Reserve and CENCOM.
00:07:52.440 And you have President Trump and the MAGA movement in process of at least seizing two of those.
00:08:01.340 Pete Hexeth and the pivot to hemispheric defense and Politico's got a pretty good story I've put up on Getter about the new defense strategy.
00:08:13.220 Every year you put up an update on that.
00:08:15.960 And they kind of misinterpret it because it's the pivot to hemispheric defense.
00:08:20.440 And maybe in the hemispheric defense strategy, we haven't totally fulfilled out the three island chains, which our forefathers back in the 19th century understood was absolutely essential to manifest destiny because we are a Pacific power.
00:08:45.000 But that talks about the hemispheric defense and they're all pulling their hair out.
00:08:48.200 Oh, my God. Trump's, you know, hemispheric defense. Hemispheric defense is number one.
00:08:52.140 Upon that we can pivot everything. And what Pete Hexeth and the team are doing are looking at from the Panama Canal to Greenland to the Arctic.
00:09:00.940 And now, you know, with Chloe Pascal, the Western Pacific, the three island chains, the hemispheric defense of the United States.
00:09:09.820 And of course, Latin America is very big in that. Maduro.
00:09:12.700 And we're not an advocate of regime change. However, the behavior is going to have to change down there, particularly their involvement with the, wait for it, Chinese Communist Party.
00:09:22.940 Because, you know, if you look at it, the Persians, Venezuela and the Russians are providing 100 percent of the energy use of our greatest and existential threat,
00:09:34.700 which is the Chinese Communist Party. Now, Politico misinterprets and says, hey, back in Trump's first term, you know, they pivoted out of the global war on terror to China, a great power struggle.
00:09:47.220 I was instrumental in the writing of that and the redirection of that. And we haven't changed the Chinese Communist Party.
00:09:54.020 But you have to have the hemispheric defense first. And you have to clear out the Chinese Communist Party from the Caribbean, where they've made a lake for the PLA, right?
00:10:04.880 And the Russian Navy. And you have to clear out the cartels, their business partners. And that's all happening.
00:10:11.700 That is in President Trump is seizing the institution of the Pentagon.
00:10:15.820 And yes, we're federalizing National Guard. And you've made I had dinner last night.
00:10:22.300 I'm not dinner. I got there afterwards of people who are not Trump fans who are not Trump fans over in Georgetown.
00:10:29.040 And let's say this. They're big league, not Trump fans to a person.
00:10:34.500 They said the city has been totally changed. Georgetown has been totally changed since the troops came in.
00:10:41.880 They were singing President Trump's high hosannas. Now, none of those people would go public with that.
00:10:47.860 But when you're sitting there talking to them, they're saying they can finally walk back around Georgetown at night.
00:10:53.020 It's completely changed. You know, women are not afraid to go out at night.
00:10:56.480 They feel like they're at the stores. They can start wearing their watches and their jewelry, which they could not do.
00:11:01.180 That's what President Trump is doing by taking control of these insurrectionist sanctuary cities.
00:11:07.500 And guess what? We had Mike Rogers on yesterday. I thought he made a very compelling case for Detroit.
00:11:13.060 President Trump is going to Chicago. He's going to take it to New Orleans and eventually he's going to go to New York.
00:11:19.320 I think you wait to New York until my mom, Donnie wins, which he's going to win.
00:11:23.600 And I think he could win big. And when the red-green axis, when the Marxist, he's not a socialist.
00:11:31.360 He's not a populist. It's not about affordability. He is a Marxist and and jihadist.
00:11:38.940 His mother's been taking money from Qatar forever. That's how they financed the whole deal.
00:11:42.480 He's a happier, happy, clappy Obama. And he's going to be like Sadiq Khan.
00:11:48.080 The Daily Mail and the Daily Telegraphs, I think their lead story is the Daily Telegraph's lead story.
00:11:53.660 The only story in England that was bigger when it came up was throwing this, the deputy prime minister out for some tax violation.
00:12:02.260 But when I gave the speech at National Conservative Conference the other day and said, hey, civil war is coming to England.
00:12:07.420 And I gave GB News about a 45 minute interview yesterday. I think it'll be up starting over the weekend.
00:12:13.900 You can see it happening with the putting up of the of the St. George flags and putting up the Union Jacks at night.
00:12:19.940 Thousands of these and then taken down by the authorities. Something is going on.
00:12:24.500 Nigel Farage just gave an amazing speech at their conference.
00:12:29.140 Actually, Raheem's over there. I try to track him down and Grace and Mo are in Korea.
00:12:33.260 And they've done a great job with Mina Kim at the Korean conference.
00:12:37.400 I'm really proud of the war room throughout the world.
00:12:41.100 And of course, Natalie's over in Asia, too, doing some reporting.
00:12:43.840 So we're hitting on all cylinders this morning.
00:12:46.600 But the key thing to keep in mind is the is what's happening.
00:12:50.740 So we told you the convergence of these crises.
00:12:53.380 Right. The geopolitical, the beginning of the Third World War, the kinetic part.
00:12:57.540 You can't deny that. There's what, one point seven million casualties in one point seven million casualties already by the Ukrainians in Ukraine.
00:13:07.280 There are there are over a million Russian casualties, two point seven million overall.
00:13:14.100 You add in Gaza and the Middle East, Persia, what happened there, Yemen.
00:13:18.840 You add it all up. It's far higher, far higher.
00:13:22.840 Then from 1939, from September 1st, the invasion of Poland to the beginning of Operation Barbarossa in June of 1941.
00:13:32.440 I think it's three times higher.
00:13:34.340 That included the fall of France, the Blitz in England.
00:13:37.100 I'll throw Finland in there, the Finnish War.
00:13:39.720 The brave Fin stood up to the Russians.
00:13:43.160 North Africa, all of it.
00:13:45.260 We're in the middle of it now.
00:13:46.560 The Federal Reserve, Scott Besant, as a contributor here, you've known Scott for years.
00:13:56.180 First time he started doing TV was here.
00:13:58.660 The reason he's Secretary of Treasury, he's a safe pair of hands.
00:14:01.840 You know this. You've seen this.
00:14:03.860 Right.
00:14:05.020 When Elon argued for Lutnick and we argued for Scott Besant because Scott Besant's a safe pair of hands and the capital markets feel very calm that Scott deals with him straight, gives him proper information.
00:14:15.100 He's got the most radical article I have ever read from any Secretary of the Treasury in the Wall Street Journal.
00:14:22.740 And now it's a 27-page report on the Journal of International Economy.
00:14:26.460 I'm going to get the team to put it out right after the show.
00:14:29.520 The Wall Street Journal will put out and we're going to talk about it in the second hour.
00:14:32.440 And Scott, we're trying to get Scott to join us on Monday.
00:14:36.180 Basically, you talk about deconstructing the administrative state.
00:14:38.840 This is a deconstruction of the Federal Reserve.
00:14:41.420 Very serious.
00:14:42.060 So those are two, CENTCOM and the Fed.
00:14:47.540 Why?
00:14:48.640 Because the Middle East is a sideshow and the Greater Israel Project is a sideshow to a sideshow.
00:14:56.340 Short break.
00:14:59.820 You missed the IRS tax deadline.
00:15:03.100 You think it's just going to go away?
00:15:04.560 Well, think again.
00:15:05.560 The IRS doesn't mess around and they're applying pressure like we haven't seen in years.
00:15:11.480 So if you haven't filed in a while, even if you can't pay, don't wait.
00:15:16.260 And don't face the IRS alone.
00:15:19.600 You need the trusted experts by your side.

00:16:50.300 Okay, folks, right here, our former contributor, Scott Besson, who's now Secretary of the Treasury,
00:16:56.860 has written a takedown of the Federal Reserve.
00:17:00.460 This is going to have a massive impact.
00:17:02.080 It is the Fed's, remember this, gain of function.
00:17:05.580 Remember Anthony Fauci weaponizing viruses over there at NIH, the virus that became the
00:17:12.100 COVID-19, remember the gain of function that we shut down, the gain of function, very dangerous,
00:17:17.600 weaponizing viruses, basically creating biological weapons.
00:17:21.660 The Fed's gain of function monetary policy for all the Ron, Rand Paul, Ron Paul folks, the
00:17:29.420 central banks, we're the three most powerful institutions, boys and girls in the imperial
00:17:34.600 capital, the CIA, the Federal Reserve, and CENCOM.
00:17:38.360 That's why right now, what's our watchword here?
00:17:43.160 Maximalist, a maximalist strategy.
00:17:44.980 Take everything to the ultimate conclusion until you can't go any farther.
00:17:49.100 Whether it's redistricting, whether it's mass deportations, whether it's sealing the
00:17:53.060 border, whether it's kinetic activity against the cartels, maximalist policy.
00:17:57.340 Maximalist policy right here, Scott Besson, a safe pair of hands.
00:18:00.520 That's why he's Secretary of the Treasury, because he calms capital markets.
00:18:05.600 In the United Kingdom today, and in France, France on Monday, by the way, take your number
00:18:12.300 two pencil out, the government's going to fall.
00:18:15.000 They're going to have another vote in their parliament.
00:18:17.180 The prime minister is going to put a vote up.
00:18:18.860 They're going to get a vote of no confidence.
00:18:20.300 The government's going to fall in the national front or national rally, whatever it's called
00:18:25.320 today.
00:18:26.100 Le Pen is going to help put together another government.
00:18:28.400 I think they're going to have a vote of no confidence on Macron.
00:18:30.680 I'm going to go to election.
00:18:32.240 Why?
00:18:33.660 Because the French can't sell 30-year bonds.
00:18:36.080 They can't finance.
00:18:36.780 They have a 7% deficit to GDP.
00:18:40.000 What did we tell you?
00:18:40.900 You know, Scott Besson's plan is we're at 6.5% or 7% right now, and we're hurtling down
00:18:45.680 to shut down the government on the 30th of midnight because, guess what?
00:18:50.040 Nobody's come up with a plan on how to cut spending or really drive additional revenues.
00:18:54.420 The French are in worse shape.
00:18:56.080 They're at 7% with no help, and it can't go on.
00:18:58.480 They can't finance it.
00:18:59.380 Why can't they finance it, class?
00:19:02.960 Because they're not the prime reserve currency.
00:19:05.920 Want to understand that?
00:19:06.920 Go to birchgold.com right now.
00:19:09.540 Promo code Bannon.
00:19:10.440 End of the dollar empire, four years.
00:19:12.360 We've put it together, seven free installments.
00:19:14.380 It teaches you everything you need.
00:19:15.800 It's taught now in undergraduate college classes, and I wrote this so you don't have to know
00:19:22.620 any economics, don't know any math, no calculus, nothing.
00:19:26.140 But you'll understand the world's financial system and capital markets.
00:19:30.240 You have to, so you can understand this.
00:19:31.620 This has a massive impact on your life.
00:19:33.460 Why?
00:19:34.520 Because the most powerful central bank in the world is about to be deconstructed.
00:19:38.180 Scott Besson's arguing it should be taken apart brick by brick.
00:19:41.900 So for all you Ron Paul fans and Rand Paul fans, this is populist and nationalist.
00:19:48.100 This gives us control of this institution back.
00:19:49.880 The lead story in the Daily Telegraph on Thursday night was my speech at the National Conservative
00:20:00.180 Convention where I said there's a civil war coming to England.
00:20:04.160 Nigel Farage is at the conference today for reform.
00:20:06.560 Nigel Farage has done an amazing job.
00:20:08.860 With no money, he's bootstrapped a party called the Reform Party.
00:20:12.460 It now polls.
00:20:13.500 The Tories are at 14%.
00:20:14.820 Think about it, a party that's been around for 250 years, a party that won World War II
00:20:20.680 with Winston Churchill as its head, a party that had Margaret Thatcher, a party that for
00:20:27.800 12 years, I think, for 12 years ran Britain, right, is at 14%.
00:20:32.780 Why?
00:20:34.640 They were the guys, just like the Rhinos and Republicans here, they looked the other way.
00:20:38.040 They're controlled opposition.
00:20:39.100 They looked the other way because what is today?
00:20:42.780 Boys and girls, what's today?
00:20:44.160 It's the 10th anniversary of Merkel allowing the first wave of 1 million Syrian refugees,
00:20:53.320 quote, excuse me, excuse me, asylum seekers, to come to Germany, to begin the destruction
00:20:58.340 of Germany.
00:20:59.020 Who didn't allow that?
00:21:00.040 Hungary didn't allow it.
00:21:01.020 Poland didn't allow it.
00:21:02.340 What are the countries in Europe that are making it right now?
00:21:04.820 Wait for it.
00:21:05.580 Let me think.
00:21:06.020 Oh, yeah, that's right.
00:21:06.740 Hungary and Poland.
00:21:08.640 The United Kingdom can sell a 30-year bond.
00:21:10.660 They just found out yesterday, oh, my gosh, we have a 50 billion pound either mistake or
00:21:17.340 we didn't see it in this year's budget.
00:21:18.960 Starmer's polling this morning is at 9%.
00:21:23.100 Yesterday I said it was 11%.
00:21:24.280 I was incorrect.
00:21:25.180 I was corrected last night.
00:21:26.220 It's at 9%.
00:21:27.580 His deputy just got fired because she's a tax cheat or something.
00:21:32.280 Sadiq Khan, you heard that name?
00:21:33.960 Sadiq Khan, who's changed London in 10 years to make it a no-go zone.
00:21:40.260 If you're Jewish or from Israel, it's a no-go zone.
00:21:44.520 That's Sadiq Khan.
00:21:45.420 He's going to be the next.
00:21:46.200 It won't happen immediately, but he's going to be the next prime minister.
00:21:48.520 He's going to work through, and the Labor Party is going to turn to him.
00:21:52.300 This is why, Mom, Donnie is so important in New York City.
00:21:57.140 And no, I recommend it.
00:21:58.220 President Trump should stay out of it.
00:22:00.480 You're not going to beat him.
00:22:03.840 It's called the Red-Green Alliance.
00:22:05.560 This is neo-Marxism with radical jihad.
00:22:07.880 And they put a happy face on it.
00:22:09.880 Sadiq Khan comes across as a total professional.
00:22:12.200 You'd think he works in the city of London.
00:22:14.480 Look at Mondami, right?
00:22:17.200 He's got the TikToks, and he's skipping around and dancing.
00:22:20.360 He's a nice guy.
00:22:21.280 He's got that big smile, magnetic, charismatic personality.
00:22:25.240 The Working Families Party in DSA, and he's not a socialist.
00:22:28.700 They say, oh, he's a socialist.
00:22:29.580 They're not socialists.
00:22:30.180 They're a neo-Marxist and a radical jihadist.
00:22:32.540 New York City in 10 years is going to be exactly like London is today.
00:22:36.040 And you're not going to beat him in November.
00:22:39.060 Eric Adams already said yesterday, no, I'm not dropping out.
00:22:42.160 Sliwa's not going to drop out.
00:22:43.540 Cuomo, it's a disaster.
00:22:45.860 And I think this kid could get over 50% of the vote.
00:22:48.740 And wait for it.
00:22:50.540 Right now, the polling shows 57% of Jewish kids under 30 are going to vote for him.
00:22:56.280 And I think a third of his staff, his inner circle, are young Jewish professionals, media, political operatives, tech, very little government experience.
00:23:06.120 The progressive left, and this comes from the school systems in New York City.
00:23:10.740 First off, Qatar, Qatar totally runs the New York public school system.
00:23:15.280 And Qatar is the railhead for the financing of the Muslim Brotherhood, right?
00:23:20.660 You see Hamas, Hamas is just a, they're a local franchisee of the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza.
00:23:27.620 Qatar, which everybody's rubbing up on them over there.
00:23:29.820 Why?
00:23:30.240 They put 250, was it $250 billion into the United States over the last 10 years.
00:23:36.540 Remember, they almost got taken over by UAE and Saudi Arabia in 2017.
00:23:42.060 The private school systems are actually worse in New York City.
00:23:45.400 The most elite, great schools with people, the parents go to, it's a knife fight to get your kid into these schools in kindergarten.
00:23:55.120 But then you go up and you got the, was it Fieldstone and Buckley and all these.
00:23:59.800 It's a knife fight to get them into the middle schools and the prep schools.
00:24:05.620 These are incubators for radicals.
00:24:09.080 Incubators for radicals.
00:24:10.840 The teachers are all radical.
00:24:12.880 The administration is all radical.
00:24:14.340 And you're seeing it.
00:24:15.120 This is what's coming.
00:24:15.960 And I told the donors, I told these guys, you're not going to stop it.
00:24:18.440 You're not going to beat it now.
00:24:21.560 You can do it later, but you're not going to do it now.
00:24:24.080 And if you try to get in the way of it, I think, unless you can come up with some incredible plan,
00:24:29.040 the plan being shown where his money is, all his money is dark money.
00:24:33.580 His money is dark money.
00:24:35.860 And his mother's up to her neck.
00:24:37.520 And she admits it.
00:24:38.160 She's up to her neck.
00:24:38.800 She's been financed by Qatar for years.
00:24:41.300 She's a, what, Indian filmmaker?
00:24:44.340 As I told you after the first 100 days, it's the next 200, all these crises converge that are going to define MAGA,
00:24:55.300 President Trump's presidency and going forward, and also the country.
00:24:58.940 And you're seeing it happen right now.
00:25:00.400 And this September, you're seeing it all.
00:25:01.840 Look at Bobby Kennedy, Thursday, a magnificent performance as he stood in the breach and took incoming for three hours and called these folks out.
00:25:12.280 And what happened?
00:25:13.660 What happened afterwards?
00:25:15.980 The people in the White House around President Trump thought it was a good thing to have 50 demons around the table around President Trump,
00:25:25.720 including Zuckerberg and Bill Gates and Google.
00:25:30.480 And what are you trying to do with Google?
00:25:32.620 And people didn't brief the president because the president said, hey, you had a good day in court.
00:25:36.940 That was not a good day, Mr. President.
00:25:38.800 We're trying to break up Google.
00:25:41.160 We're trying to break up Facebook.
00:25:44.160 We're trying to break up Microsoft.
00:25:45.840 And hell, throw Walmart and all of them in there.
00:25:47.600 The concentration of corporate power with government power is what is destroying this country.
00:25:55.340 It's already destroyed Europe.
00:25:57.820 It's already destroyed because it was the central banks, the financial community, the city of London, and the corporations that, hey, we need more people.
00:26:06.060 You need cheaper labor.
00:26:07.100 You need lower labor.
00:26:07.880 And we need bigger markets.
00:26:08.880 We've got to sell more consumer goods.
00:26:10.700 So let's have millions of North Africa and Middle East.
00:26:14.540 Let's have – bring them in.
00:26:16.300 Bring them in.
00:26:18.460 Why do you think Poland is doing so well?
00:26:20.180 Why do you think President Trump had the Polish president there?
00:26:22.620 Why is Poland's economy growing like crazy?
00:26:25.300 Poland doesn't have a problem selling 30-year bonds.
00:26:29.180 Poland is not going to have – not going to turf out a government on Monday like the French are.
00:26:34.080 Poland is not heading to a civil war like the English are.
00:26:40.380 Why?
00:26:40.900 Because they sealed their borders and the EU came and says, hey, you're doing this all wrong.
00:26:44.400 You can't do this.
00:26:45.020 You're breaking the laws.
00:26:45.680 You know what they told them?
00:26:46.320 Go f**k yourself.
00:26:48.400 We're going to do it.
00:26:49.400 We're going to do it to protect our culture.
00:26:51.180 We're going to protect our civilization.
00:26:52.720 We're going to protect our young people.
00:26:54.780 We're going to protect – wait for it – our country.
00:26:57.120 And that's where this fight is here.
00:27:00.100 Whoever organized that dinner for President Trump to get all the – and that was an AI.
00:27:08.420 And the AI is totally out of control.
00:27:12.080 They're going to try to slip the AI amnesty.
00:27:14.840 Remember that?
00:27:15.440 We fought that a couple months ago and got it out of the big, beautiful bill.
00:27:18.760 They're going to try to slip that into the NDAA.
00:27:23.360 Who warned you about this yesterday?
00:27:24.920 Jim Banks.
00:27:25.640 Jim Banks is a safe pair of hands.
00:27:27.680 Jim Banks does not run around with his hair on fire.
00:27:30.880 He's a Navy commander.
00:27:32.140 He's a solid guy.
00:27:33.060 He comes from, you know, one of the greatest states in the Union, Indiana.
00:27:36.740 Hoosiers are known for common sense.
00:27:40.200 What is Jim – Jim Banks is up there saying, hey, yo, we've got to look at this NVIDIA thing.
00:27:44.780 These things are out of control right now.
00:27:47.680 The great Orrin Cass is going to join me after a short commercial break.
00:27:51.780 We've got Ben Harnwell in Rome.
00:27:53.400 Hopefully get Raheem at the Reform Conference.
00:27:56.920 Maybe get Mo and Grace in South Korea.
00:28:00.400 We've got Philip Patrick a little later.
00:28:02.020 We're going to go through all of it this morning in the war room.
00:28:04.120 Short commercial break.
00:28:06.780 Take out your phone right now.
00:28:07.920 Text Bannon.
00:28:09.320 That's me.

00:28:18.180 Back in a moment.
00:28:20.580 What if he had the brightest mind in the war room delivering critical financial research every month?
00:28:26.660 Steve Bannon here.
00:28:28.060 War room listeners know Jim Rickards.
00:28:29.720 I love this guy.
00:28:31.180 He's our wise man, a former CIA, Pentagon, and White House advisor
00:28:34.700 with an unmatched grasp of geopolitics and capital markets.
00:28:38.300 Jim predicted Trump's Electoral College victory exactly 312 to 226, down to the actual number itself.
00:28:47.480 Now he's issuing a dire warning about April 11th, a moment that could define Trump's presidency in your financial future.
00:28:55.220 His latest book, Money GPT, exposes how AI is setting the stage for financial chaos, bank runs at lightning speeds, algorithm-driven crashes, and even threats to national security.
00:29:07.260 Right now, war room members get a free copy of Money GPT when they sign up for Strategic Intelligence.
00:29:14.020 This is Jim's flagship financial newsletter, Strategic Intelligence.
00:29:18.920 I read it.
00:29:19.940 You should read it.
00:29:21.000 Time is running out.
00:29:21.860 Go to RickardsWarRoom.com.
00:29:23.700 That's all one word, Rickards War Room.
00:29:25.600 Rickards with an S.
00:29:27.060 Go now and claim your free book.
00:29:29.500 That's RickardsWarRoom.com.
00:29:32.060 Do it today.
00:29:32.620 The CIA Act is simply an America First Amendment to the NDAA, the defense bill, that's on the floor in the Senate next week.
00:29:42.120 And it's very simple.
00:29:43.060 It says that you can't export American-made chips to China or other adversarial countries if there is a backlog or demand for those chips in the United States first.
00:29:55.460 It's as simple as that.
00:29:56.580 There's nothing that's more America First than making sure that we dominate the race to AI and the technologies of the future rather than helping our biggest enemy dominate us.
00:30:08.580 So it's a simple amendment.
00:30:10.460 It also says that you can't, if you do export chips, if Intel or these big chip makers export chips to China,
00:30:18.220 they have to guarantee that those chips won't be used against America for economic purposes, against American industries, or even for other military and national security reasons, too.
00:30:30.100 So I don't know how anybody could be against this.
00:30:32.800 I mean, frankly, it's in the bill right now.
00:30:36.800 And when we pass, when we have the NDAA on the floor next week, I don't know if there will be an effort to strip this out of the bill.
00:30:45.600 But I hope my colleagues on both sides of the aisle will support it because there's nothing more America First than making sure that our chips don't go to our enemies to use against us.
00:30:56.500 Okay.
00:30:57.480 President Trump called this in the subheadline of the Financial Times, Trump sees anti-U.S. conspiracies.
00:31:02.640 As we said yesterday on the show for the president, it's worse than a conspiracy.
00:31:07.840 It's a flex.
00:31:09.220 Here, they're trying to take credit for World War II, of which they fought on the side of the Japanese.
00:31:14.900 Don't ever forget that.
00:31:16.780 It was the nationalist Chinese with the Americans and the British that drove the Japanese out of the mainland of Asia.
00:31:24.720 But when they say unstoppable force, he means the military.
00:31:30.040 That military is driven by chips.
00:31:32.800 We're in a chips war.
00:31:34.060 The great Orrin Cass from American Compass joins me.
00:31:37.800 Why are guys that are pretty calm like you and Jim Banks lighting your hair on fire about this, sir?
00:31:43.960 Well, thanks for having me on, Steve.
00:31:45.520 And I want to give credit to Senator Banks.
00:31:48.300 He's been fantastic on this issue.
00:31:50.360 Like you heard in that clip, there just aren't enough chips out there right now.
00:31:54.620 This has been the story for a few years.
00:31:58.220 U.S. companies that are trying to be leaders in AI for our economy, for our military, are desperate to get as many of these chips as they can.
00:32:06.680 And then you have companies, and the worst actor here is really NVIDIA.
00:32:10.600 I mean, great technology company.
00:32:12.560 To their credit, they make great chips.
00:32:14.360 And they are doing everything they can to go sell those chips in China instead of selling them to American companies.
00:32:20.540 They're cozying up to the CCP in some cases, the Communist Party.
00:32:24.360 They're actually trying to open a research facility in Shanghai.
00:32:28.540 And so you now have this, like Senator Banks said, it is the most common sense America first policy possible.
00:32:35.000 If there's a U.S. company that wants the chips, you have to sell it to the U.S. company and not to the Chinese.
00:32:40.360 And this is incredibly important, and it's just such a great test for the White House, for America first.
00:32:48.260 You have some people in the White House.
00:32:49.840 You have NVIDIA running around saying, no, it's OK.
00:32:52.400 Let's sell the chips to China first.
00:32:54.420 And we just can't let that happen.
00:32:56.480 OK, so the Secretary of Commerce is sitting there on TV saying, hey, hang on, you know, Orrin Cass and Bannon and all these guys are all here that we're not selling the good stuff.
00:33:09.200 We're selling them these are second or third tier chips.
00:33:12.160 And so they're not getting the good stuff.
00:33:13.380 Do you do you buy that, sir?
00:33:16.120 Well, first of all, I don't buy it.
00:33:17.700 I mean, it's it's not true.
00:33:19.860 And, you know, if these chips weren't so good and they didn't help the Chinese, the Chinese wouldn't be trying to buy them.
00:33:25.560 Right.
00:33:25.720 So just as a matter of common sense, let's recognize we are in a race to develop the leading computing power, the leading models.
00:33:33.160 And the Chinese are saying, yes, we want these chips.
00:33:36.560 And so obviously they are valuable.
00:33:38.880 But but more importantly, with Senator Banks's approach, all he's saying is give U.S. first dibs.
00:33:45.220 Right.
00:33:45.420 If if if these are second, third tier chips, if U.S. companies don't want them, can't use them, then OK.
00:33:52.140 But by the way, people are upset about this bill.
00:33:54.680 It exposes the whole thing.
00:33:56.720 Right.
00:33:57.500 The fact that they're saying, well, no, don't make us sell the chips to the U.S. first is because they know that, in fact, the U.S. companies would buy the chips.
00:34:05.400 And so it just doesn't make any sense.
00:34:07.060 Everybody around that table, all the tech bros, the broligarchs, all of them, Silicon Valley.
00:34:12.060 The reason this exists, the reason this exists is the lords of easy money on Wall Street and Silicon Valley and the corporatists that sold us out.
00:34:25.600 China was a backward agrarian, a third world agrarian country.
00:34:29.340 It's been built by American capital, American technology.
00:34:32.140 If we don't want to fight them and Oren Kass and Steve Bannon are non-interventionists, it doesn't mean we're non-confrontationist.
00:34:40.580 This must be confronted.
00:34:42.000 Here's how it's confronted.
00:34:43.400 You stop playing patty cake with this.
00:34:46.020 It's a hard decouple.
00:34:48.220 There's no question and no debate about we're going to sell them chips.
00:34:50.940 They're going to take these chips are great chips or Americans are going to get chips.
00:34:53.440 Screw that.
00:34:53.900 Number one, cut them off from all capital, all technology.
00:34:58.060 When I say technology, no technology sales to the Chinese Communist Party or China at all.
00:35:04.340 Number two, number three, no expertise.
00:35:06.480 If they're in a U.S. corporation, they go home.
00:35:09.420 If they're in a U.S. research lab, they go home.
00:35:12.300 Number four, all the students, all 350,000, cancel the visas.
00:35:17.620 They all go home immediately.
00:35:19.140 You don't train them.
00:35:20.140 There's no expertise.
00:35:21.320 There's no technology.
00:35:22.400 There's no bank financing, capital markets, venture capital, none of it.
00:35:28.960 In six months, Lao Baixing will be turfing these guys.
00:35:32.680 Oh, by the way, you cut off the oil from the Persians because it's supposed to be cut off anyway.
00:35:37.000 You cut off the oil from the Venezuelans, so it's supposed to be cut off anyway.
00:35:40.660 And you sanction the oil coming out of Russia like we did with India.
00:35:43.840 You do those steps, they're not going to be flexing because they're going to be broke and their people are going to overthrow them.
00:35:50.420 Orrin Cass, isn't our answer here, and I love banks, and we've got to put that in there for today.
00:35:56.160 But the answer is we have to have a national conversation.
00:35:59.220 We're either going to let American corporatists and lords of easy money on Wall Street continue to finance them because they're in business with them.
00:36:06.760 Why do you think NVIDIA is in the way?
00:36:08.400 They're sitting there talking about chips and they're backdooring us all the time.
00:36:12.020 Why are we even having these conversations?
00:36:14.040 Here's the answer.
00:36:15.280 No chips.
00:36:16.340 The answer is zero.
00:36:18.080 The answer is zero on all the technology and all the kids that are here, 350,000.
00:36:22.040 It's not about the kids, but they've got to sign a paper.
00:36:24.980 They've got to be almost an intelligence agent.
00:36:26.800 How about this?
00:36:27.580 Your visa is canceled and you go home tomorrow and 350,000 spaces are available for, wait for it, American kids.
00:36:35.840 Right?
00:36:36.060 And Howard Lutton is saying, well, the bottom 10% of the colleges are going to business.
00:36:39.700 I don't give a damn.
00:36:41.060 Let them go out of business.
00:36:42.120 If they're living off foreign students, I don't care.
00:36:45.500 This is about American and American students or in Cass.
00:36:48.620 Are you with me on hard decoupling or is that too radical an idea, sir?
00:36:53.720 We've actually written the paper called A Hard Break With China.
00:36:56.860 I've even given up using the word decoupling because I think people think it sounds soft and we'll work it out and sort of like Gwyneth Paltrow's term, the conscious decoupling.
00:37:07.520 I think we need a hard break.
00:37:10.980 And I especially appreciate you making that point about this has been going on for a generation.
00:37:15.860 I mean it's one thing if in the year 2000 you think, oh, let's go do business in China.
00:37:20.320 We'll get a foothold.
00:37:21.220 We'll build a great business there.
00:37:22.880 To still be saying that in 2025, I mean NVIDIA is trying to say like you have to let us sell chips there so we can establish American leadership in China.
00:37:30.660 It's like Charlie Brown with Lucy in the football.
00:37:33.880 I don't know how you can seriously think at this point you're going to build a constructive, profitable relationship with China in the long run.
00:37:41.540 It's just a short-term cash grab that completely sells out the actual American interests in the long term.
00:37:48.960 Oren, help me out here because you're, like I said, a steady pair of hands.
00:37:51.940 We know that technology is a driver of the American economy.
00:37:54.520 We've got that.
00:37:55.080 But when you have those demons, on the day that Bobby Kennedy testifies and it's a star chamber, right, it's an inquisition.
00:38:01.680 And they all come out and they're trying to fire him.
00:38:03.500 Look, the fight for Bobby Kennedy is a long way from over.
00:38:06.260 And if we're going to keep the Maha, make America healthy again and make America great again coalition that gave us the huge victory in November of 2024, Bobby Kennedy has got to be saved.
00:38:15.800 How do you have – who at the White House tells President Trump, let's have a dinner that night with the very people that had the technology that suppressed all the voices that were coming out against the vaccine mandates.
00:38:28.460 And you had two of the worst demons.
00:38:30.780 You've got Zuckerberg, who is a criminal, right?
00:38:35.060 And now we're in federal court with him and the FTC trying to break up Facebook.
00:38:39.740 I don't know if it's appropriate to put him next to the president of the United States at a dinner.
00:38:43.200 And also Gates, who's the worst guy in the world on vaccines.
00:38:47.840 Am I hammering the tech broligarchs too hard or should – we've got to have a – the MAGA movement has to have a – we have to get this sorted now.
00:38:58.640 They're not – they don't bring any votes.
00:39:00.940 The Maha movement brings millions of votes, right?
00:39:04.420 These guys bring no votes.
00:39:06.220 They bring cash.
00:39:07.040 But trust me, if we lose in 2026 or President Trump doesn't win again in 2028, they're going to – they're all progressive Democrats.
00:39:14.660 They're going to be back on the other side.
00:39:16.100 They're going to be baying for Trump to go to prison.
00:39:18.380 Orrin Kass, your thoughts?
00:39:20.560 Well, President Trump's not eligible to run for president in 2028.
00:39:23.760 But whoever is running, I think it's certainly important to have a much more sort of level playing field in our media than we've seen in the past.
00:39:32.960 I think the one nice thing that we've seen is that, you know, what you're really seeing from these tech bros is I don't think they actually care about the politics very much at all.
00:39:41.200 Well, they'll just respond to incentives, and when all the incentives were to cozy up to the, you know, progressive left-wing woke folks, they, you know, all stampeded that direction.
00:39:54.640 I think it's actually a good thing that they're seeing, oh, no, that's right.
00:39:57.360 You know, sometimes one side is going to be in power.
00:39:59.780 Sometimes the other side is going to be in power.
00:40:02.400 We've got to be in a position to, you know, maybe get along with both.
00:40:07.120 What's important, what we need to see more from the Trump administration is the clear conditions or demands.
00:40:14.000 Okay, what are the things you have to do if you do want to be at the table in the White House?
00:40:18.620 And I think, you know, and we see this with a lot of big business right now generally, and as we were just talking about with something like NVIDIA is probably the worst example of it,
00:40:27.820 there are still some folks in the White House who have the attitude that, like, you know, well, whatever corporations want, we should just do.
00:40:33.780 And almost every time they go down that path, it ends up looking bad for the White House, it looks bad for the president, and then ultimately it's bad for the country.
00:40:42.640 So we need to make sure the people advising the president, we need to make sure the president are focused not on thinking, well, you know, this person's a CEO, he's very rich, I'm sure he makes sense and is thinking about what's good for America,
00:40:55.560 and realize that that's just not their priority. It's the president's job, it's the administration's job to be focused on what's good for the country,
00:41:03.580 and then make sure that American corporations are operating within that.
00:41:10.460 Warren Posse, Warren Cass is one of the smartest guys we have, and one of the smartest guys on populist nationalist economics,
00:41:16.400 but I have not read him in yet to Trump 28, and I promise I will do that this weekend.
00:41:21.120 Warren Cass, you're one of my favorite people. Where do people, what's your coordinates, where do people go to support Jim Banks in this effort?
00:41:29.200 Where do they go? Your social media, the site, the magazine, all of it. Your book, your great new book, where do they go?
00:41:35.460 Well, I'm on X at underscore Cass. American Compass is the organization. Our magazine is Commonplace. You can subscribe at commonplace.org.
00:41:45.740 And for a lot of the background on these big ideas we're working on, we just put out this book called The New Conservatives that talks about what, you know,
00:41:53.820 not just President Trump, but now Secretary of State Rubio and Vice President Vance and folks like Senator Banks,
00:41:58.860 all of the folks who I think are building the future of the conservative movement, tries to kind of lay out a lot of the ideas that are behind it.
00:42:05.340 So I hope folks will check it out.
00:42:07.400 Perfect. Great job. Appreciate you.
00:42:10.620 Thank you.
00:42:11.640 The battle is engaged.
00:42:16.340 How do you understand this? One of the things I'm very proud of, because remember, Joe Allen is going to be – I'm kind of obsessed with this, aren't I?
00:42:28.740 I think it's the third day in a row I've done it. Why? Because this is signal, not noise.
00:42:32.540 The most important thing that came out of here, the Shanghai meeting and the parade, was not the parade, the flex, the show of military strength,
00:42:42.480 trying to take credit for World War II because they need legitimacy.
00:42:46.700 What was the most important thing?
00:42:48.000 It was Putin and Xi and that hot mic comment where they talked about – these are two of the three most powerful men in the world,
00:42:57.060 the third being in the White House, Donald Trump.
00:42:59.700 What were they talking about when they had time for themselves?
00:43:04.120 Transhumanism.
00:43:04.520 They were talking about today that they could live for 125 or 150 years.
00:43:09.960 How are they going to do it?
00:43:11.420 Live organ harvesting.
00:43:12.740 But they were talking about technologies that are coming that are going to lead to – this came out of Xi's lips – immortality.
00:43:20.960 The convergence.
00:43:21.660 This is why we've covered transhumanism so strongly.
00:43:24.960 Ben Harnwell in Rome, Joe Allen on transhumanism.
00:43:27.660 All next in the War Room.
00:43:29.880 Let's take down the CCP.
00:43:33.100 According to the Department of Energy, blackouts could increase by 10,000 percent over the next few years.
00:43:38.480 It's because of massive energy demand from artificial intelligence data centers.
00:43:43.160 We talk about that all the time here in the War Room.
00:43:46.060 And we have a fragile power grid.
00:43:48.100 It just cannot keep up with that demand.
00:43:50.460 I don't know about you, but I don't like the idea of being without power, even for a day.
00:43:54.560 That's why I got the Grid Doctor 3300 from MyPatriotSupply.
00:43:59.460 It's a powerful solar generator that runs refrigerators, AC units, medical devices, power tools, anything you need to write out a blackout.
00:44:08.440 And right now, for their Christmas in July event, they're including over $1,000 in free survival gear with your generator,
00:44:17.260 including emergency food supply, water filtration, survival tools, and more.
00:44:22.140 You heard that right.
00:44:23.140 Over $1,000 in free gear for a limited time.

00:45:07.680 Get ready for a special guest to be announced, plus a three-hour live episode of Studio 6B.
00:45:13.560 And we're just going to go do it.
00:45:14.840 On the 12th, Steve Bannon will host War Room Live at 5 p.m.
00:45:18.640 And Steve will be back again on the 13th.
00:45:21.860 Woo!
00:45:22.420 Followed by One Hour with Peter Navarro.
00:45:24.760 I went to prison so you won't have to.
00:45:27.480 The Rebels, Rogues, and Outlaws Tour.
00:45:29.980 September 12th and 13th at the America First Warehouse.
00:45:33.340 Scan the QR code to see pricing and availability.
00:45:36.960 Don't miss this opportunity.
00:45:38.460 Tickets won't last.
00:45:42.620 Evidently, Britain is on the brink of civil war.
00:45:44.580 And that's according to Donald Trump's former chief strategist, Steve Bannon.
00:45:48.640 He's warned that radical Islam is fuelling unrest here at home and across Europe.
00:45:54.700 James, is he right?
00:45:56.240 Absolutely not.
00:45:57.500 This comes...
00:45:58.180 And here I will say, Steve Bannon is a racist.
00:46:00.960 And this...
00:46:02.320 What, because it's concerned about...
00:46:04.960 No, no, no, no.
00:46:05.580 Because of things that he has said and done, including in this particular piece.
00:46:09.180 But let me...
00:46:09.760 Right, OK.
00:46:10.220 Let me come to...
00:46:11.520 Let me come to where this comes from.
00:46:13.120 In the United States, there is a long-standing, feverish dream on the extreme right,
00:46:18.360 and Matt knows about this.
00:46:19.500 He's researched it, I'm sure, of the idea of a coming race war.
00:46:23.440 And this doesn't come from concern for the people of the US.
00:46:26.960 It comes from a particular fringe of the ultra-white supremacist, white nationalist right,
00:46:33.640 which Steve Bannon flirts with at best.
00:46:38.280 And it's not based in reality.
00:46:40.420 It's not based in concern for the people in the US.
00:46:42.420 And this is trying to transplant it onto here.
00:46:44.960 He touches base.
00:46:46.020 There's some hinge points because a democratic socialist called Zora Mandani is the front-runner
00:46:52.320 to become the next mayor of New York.
00:46:54.200 And this is, of course, horrific for Bannon, not on the basis of his socialism,
00:47:00.640 but on the basis that he is a Muslim.
00:47:03.820 And the idea that we are about to have a civil war in Britain is plainly nonsense.
00:47:09.880 Is it?
00:47:10.960 Lots of people do feel that there is unrest, Matt.
00:47:14.040 Well...
00:47:14.660 A civil war.
00:47:16.560 Just provide some context for the comments, because it is also true, as people following
00:47:23.040 the Westminster debate know, that Steve Bannon is not the only person to say that we have
00:47:29.220 a social contract in this country that is rapidly collapsing.
00:47:32.280 Professor David Betts at UCL, who is a very respected academic, who has worked on civil conflict
00:47:38.140 and civil wars in developing states for many years, he's looked at that literature, the academic
00:47:44.660 literature, and he said, look, these are the things that you tend to see in societies
00:47:48.720 that morph into conflict.
00:47:50.780 And he's looked at the UK today, and he said, basically, you have a couple of things that
00:47:56.400 make him very concerned.
00:47:57.620 Just briefly, there's two things.
00:47:58.960 One is, you have this very tense and deteriorating relationship between the elites and the masses,
00:48:06.320 between politicians and voters, and we can all feel that.
00:48:08.860 We don't really...
00:48:09.500 A lot of people out there don't...
00:48:10.340 I think everyone would agree on that one.
00:48:11.000 Don't respect Westminster.
00:48:12.260 Absolutely.
00:48:12.420 So you've got that.
00:48:13.320 But then on top of that, as we saw, for example, in the Hare Hills riots, or in Southend, or
00:48:19.240 in, you know, you could argue in the aftermath of Southport in certain neighbourhoods, you
00:48:23.520 have organised inter-ethnic tension that is sort of mobilising on group lines.
00:48:31.440 And I think I'm right in saying, and I wouldn't put words into his mouth, but I think I'm right
00:48:35.900 in saying that David Betts is saying, look, the factors that you would expect to see in
00:48:40.480 a society that ends up having a very high-conflict situation are already present in the UK.
00:48:47.160 Who is the young progressive, right?
00:48:52.080 You see how they go, oh my God, they're all racist, they're everything.
00:48:54.720 No.
00:48:55.280 It's coming.
00:48:56.700 It could be averted, but it's going to take a ton of work.
00:49:00.860 And Nigel Farage is today at the Reform Conference, which Reform has, in polling today, and this
00:49:07.240 is a political party created out of whole cloth, right?
00:49:11.460 Remember we helped Nigel with Brexit, Rahim Kassam ran that, Rahim Kassam ran Breitbart
00:49:15.600 London for me, so we've been on this for, I don't know, 12, 13 years, 15 years maybe.
00:49:22.860 That's where I met Ben Harnwell during that time.
00:49:25.700 This is the 10th year anniversary of Merkel inviting in 1 million Syrian refugees, which
00:49:30.780 started it all in the continent.
00:49:33.580 And England's been more and more out of control.
00:49:36.340 Reform today, polls, if you add the Tories, who have been around for 250 years, and Labour,
00:49:43.360 the current government, add them together, and I think the reform's five points up.
00:49:48.300 Ben Harnwell, give me your thoughts, particularly our progressive colleague there, really going
00:49:54.400 after us, so a bunch of racists, nativists, we're bad guys, right?
00:49:57.660 Well, firstly, you heard a couple of names mentioned in that segment.
00:50:06.200 Firstly, if it's not too early to do so, I think we're going to have Matt Goodwin on the
00:50:11.120 show on our Friday War Room Battleground at 6pm.
00:50:17.160 Perfect.
00:50:17.400 And he mentioned David Betts.
00:50:19.180 Well, of course, viewers of the War Room will remember David Betts, because we had him on
00:50:23.260 the show a couple of weeks ago to explore precisely that thesis that, you know, as an
00:50:28.220 expert in failing states, you can apply those criteria to failing states, to the UK today.
00:50:34.140 But I just want to respond to what Brother Schneider was saying there, Steve.
00:50:39.020 First, I mean, I don't quite know where to start.
00:50:42.660 However, let's just go from the most essential things first.
00:50:45.880 Islam is not a race.
00:50:47.760 It's a religion.
00:50:48.480 It's an ideology.
00:50:49.180 You can think what you like to Islam, you can say it's a false religion, it's not based
00:50:54.480 on the true revelation of God to mankind, that's obviously Jesus Christ.
00:50:59.880 You can say all of these things.
00:51:01.460 It doesn't make you a racist.
00:51:04.780 Perhaps you can apply the word Islamophobic, and you can say whether you want to be defined
00:51:08.640 by that or not.
00:51:11.360 But I think it's absolutely legitimate.
00:51:13.060 But the point is, that guy, what he's saying, I know we've got a break coming along now,
00:51:17.700 but what that guy is saying is full in your face to Great Britain, where it is at the
00:51:23.120 moment.
