Summary

Bannon suggests that Scott Bessent should be both the head of the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department. The idea is sure to stir controversy within the ranks of those who are focused on the idea of the Fed being independent.

Transcript

00:00:00.000 D.C. Eamon Javers has this latest. Eamon. Melissa, CNBC has obtained a clip exclusively of an
00:00:06.460 interview with former White House advisor Steve Bannon. The interview is conducted by Sean Spicer,
00:00:12.520 who's, of course, the former press secretary for Donald Trump in his first term. In this interview,
00:00:17.700 Bannon makes a provocative suggestion about the future of Scott Bessent, who's the Treasury
00:00:23.300 secretary, and whether or not he should have a role at the Fed. Here's what he says.
00:00:27.760 I am a big believer that on an interim basis, that Scott Bessent should be both the head of the
00:00:35.020 Federal Reserve and the secretary of Treasury and maybe get to the midterm elections, step down as
00:00:39.000 Treasury and take over the Federal Reserve. Now, that full interview is going to air at 6 p.m.
00:00:44.300 on Sean Spicer's podcast on YouTube. But in that, you see Spicer discussing this with Bannon. We
00:00:50.480 should note, of course, neither one of those men is a current White House official. Both of them
00:00:55.440 retain significant relationships here inside the building. And so this idea that Scott Bessent
00:01:01.240 should be both the Treasury secretary and the chairman of the Federal Reserve after Jay Powell
00:01:07.660 is clearly an idea that's going to get some traction inside this building. Whether it will be embraced
00:01:12.980 by this building is a different question entirely. We'll ask White House officials what they think of
00:01:17.600 that idea. Scott Bessent himself has said he does not want to be Fed chair. He's happy in the job that
00:01:22.640 he's in. The president said in August that he was taking Bessent off the list of candidates for the
00:01:28.260 Fed because Bessent told him he wants to stay at Treasury. So this idea, though, that he could have
00:01:34.360 a dual hat obviously will raise a lot of concerns among people who are very focused on the idea of
00:01:39.920 Fed independence. The idea that you could have a Treasury secretary simultaneously running the Fed
00:01:45.140 will be controversial in those circles, guys. The whole interview, as I say, on 6 p.m. tonight on YouTube.
00:01:51.760 But that is the gist of the comments there from Bannon, who says he likes the...
00:01:55.560 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:02:02.180 Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on these people.
00:02:07.180 Here's one time I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people. The people have had a belly full of it.
00:02:13.180 I know you don't like hearing that. I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it. It's going to happen.
00:02:18.180 It's going to happen.
00:02:19.300 And where do people like that go to share the big lie? Mega media. I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:02:29.680 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose? If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:02:39.760 War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:02:48.180 It's Saturday, 20 September in the year of our Lord, 2025. Thank you for sticking around for the second hour of the Saturday morning edition of The War Room.
00:02:57.400 You know, it's our favorite show of the week. We can actually get into some topics in more depth.
00:03:02.420 I think it's the first time, our record keeping here is sometimes a little loosey-goosey, but I think it's the first time we've ever had, at least on the Saturday show, but I think any time, an hour where we have three doctors.
00:03:16.600 And I mean like PhD heavyweight intellectuals. That would be Dr. Dave Bratt, Dr. Peter Navarro, and Dr. Michael Savage are joining us here momentarily.
00:03:26.340 Absolutely. And Brad, I think your doctorate is not in theology. You may have a sidebar or a side deal in theology, but you actually have a doctorate in economics also, right?
00:03:38.380 Yeah, master's divinity, PhD, economics.
00:03:41.000 Fantastic. And of course, Dr. Navarro joins us now, has his doctorate from Harvard, but didn't damage him too much.
00:03:53.060 Peter, give us your assessment. I'll keep you out of the Fed-Treasury debate.
00:03:59.180 Oh, no, no, no, no. I want to hit that, man. Did you come up with that? I think that's genius.
00:04:04.440 I actually think it's genius. And for nothing else, to let the left's head totally explode. I mean, we've got Stephen Mirren essentially doing the same kind of thing.
00:04:16.200 I, you know, I'm thinking about that. That's kind of, kind of interesting. So, um, if nothing else, you know, you're going to be the toast of morning joe for the whole week here, brother.
00:04:28.000 Well, as you remember, Peter, because you were down in Mar-a-Lago, you, you were in Mar-a-Lago in the transition and it had, it had, uh, Elon and, uh, and Lutnik and, and the war room and Besson.
00:04:41.620 And our, our, our pitch at the time is that the president had people like yourself, people he had worked with on these policies.
00:04:48.900 And we were trying to give a heads up that you're going to totally reorganize the global trading system around America first.
00:04:56.740 And that you needed a treasury now more than ever, someone that could take President Trump and your guys' policies, explain it to Wall Street and to the world's capital markets and the world's finance ministers and be a safe pair of hands.
00:05:08.520 I think Scott has done that in, in spades. And of course he's taken over some of the negotiations, some of these deals.
00:05:14.320 Just where do we stand with that? Cause I think that a lot of questions about the American economy now, uh, I see a lot of positive things here.
00:05:22.280 The big, beautiful bills about to kick in, I think with more of the supply side, but, uh, people are kind of on tenterhooks about the Supreme court and about, uh, what, where they're going to come down on.
00:05:33.020 I guess your use of emergency powers to drive a lot of the trade deals, just given that the president came back from the UK and it turned out the second day, there was much bigger on economics than I thought it was going over there.
00:05:44.860 I didn't think he tossed Starmer, a life preserver, which he essentially, he essentially did not that Starmer could, could not that even a life preserver by the president could save him, but, uh, your thoughts on where we stand, sir.
00:05:56.780 Well, well, the UK, I mean, look there, I think per capita income is below that of Mississippi. I mean, it's, it's really low and it's all because of the illegal immigration and, and, you know, we knew kind of why Brexit came along.
00:06:13.020 Let me say that, let me make a comment about this federal reserve thing. It's like, there's two really things you got to do there.
00:06:20.900 You got to figure out where short-term interest rates are. And then there's this much, much heavier lift about sorting out how to, uh, undo the balance sheet, get, which got screwed up, start going back to the 2007, uh, great recession.
00:06:37.300 Um, as far as the first thing, Steve, I mean, look, yeah, you don't need to do anything essentially to set interest rates other than to read the paper every day. I mean, that's the easiest job in the world. It's like, there's nothing mystical about that. They can dress it all up. They want in data, but I mean, that could be a side job to a shy job. I could have done that when I was a professor at UC Irvine, done it out there and make a phone call.
00:07:04.460 On the day they're setting rates and say, put it at this. Um, so I, Scotty is like, he, he could do that in his sleep. Um, with respect to the court case, let me just say, I agree, uh, 110% with Donald Trump, that if the Supreme Court chooses not to support his IEPA powers, uh, it's going to be a catastrophe for this country.
00:07:31.720 Because, because what we've learned, Steve, from the Trump tariffs this time around, uh, is two things. One is that they are highly successful in defending this country against unfair trade and bringing in investment here to onshore our factories and jobs.
00:07:51.280 I mean, we're at $17 trillion, uh, of, uh, so far in investment. And that's, uh, bigger than the GDP of virtually most other countries around the world on an annual basis. I mean, it's just, it's just huge.
00:08:07.640 Uh, as I've said before, uh, the court case, the appeal, uh, that was rejected, uh, at the appeals court level was a political decision. The seven people who voted, uh, against the president, uh, six of them were Democrats. It was a poorly written decision.
00:08:26.880 And it stands in sharp contrast to the, the really thoughtful, uh, dissent by four of the judges led by this guy named Toronto. Um, and, uh, it's a roadmap essentially for the Supreme Court to rule in our favor, in America's favor, uh, on the key issues.
00:08:48.880 Whether, uh, whether, uh, whether or not the, uh, tariffs are permanent, which they're not, whether or not you can use tariffs as a form of regulation of imports, which you can by the law and whether or not it's an emergency, uh, with respect to both the fentanyl crisis and with respect to the, uh, the trade deficit.
00:09:14.120 So let's see what happens. But the Supreme Court wants to rule in our favor. It will be able to do so firmly grounded, uh, in the law. This is not politics anymore. It should not be politics. If we lose the ability to tariff, we're going to not be able to pay down our debt.
00:09:38.220 That's the big epiphany. And there's so much support now on Capitol Hill among people who used to oppose us, uh, on, particularly on the Republican side, because they understand, yes, it addresses unfair trade, but it's also, um, a get out of debt jail free card that has literally no penalties for the American people.
00:10:01.880 There's no inflation. There's no negative impact in growth. It's just the opposite. So that's a big picture, Steve. And we're bullish about what's going to happen, uh, in October on this.
00:10:14.780 Tim, Tim Cook or Tim Apple as we refer to him actually said yesterday, uh, Apple put it out officially. There's been no price increase whatsoever, uh, on the iPhones because of the tariffs, which is, you know, the, I got to pivot because we're limited time.
00:10:29.780 And I want to get to, I want to talk about your book and about your, your journey tomorrow. You're going to join us. So the audience knows us. We're going to be live Eastern daylight time from 10 AM to, I think, 8 PM, uh, from the, uh, from Cardinal stadium studio.
00:10:46.100 Six B is going to pick up after that, I believe, but we're going to be there for like about 10 hours, um, to do, uh, both the religious service and Charlie's celebration of life.
00:10:54.980 Dr. Vara will make sure that you can make it up to the, um, to the, uh, our studio, which will be in Cardinal stadium, which the real American voice team is building out right now.
00:11:05.200 It'd be good to see you there personally. Since you never come to Washington anymore, you kind of leave us here in the deep swamp, uh, with a snorkel and, you know, but, um, look,
00:11:17.980 dude, I got sucked in there for six months will be a celebration of, of, of Charlie's life. Um, we, we have, we are doing our, our, our grieving and that's, that's appropriate. Um,
00:11:32.360 I would like to just say that the five stages of grief, uh, that we are going through has a sixth stage and that's accountability, uh, because if we don't hold these people accountable for all the things that they're doing to us, uh, then they're just going to keep doing it again.
00:11:52.800 And the, the, the, the book, if I may, I went to prison. So you won't have to is really, uh, a wake up call to the American people that this war against MAGA, against Trump, against all of us, Steve, on our side of the fence, which is, which is the flyover country, middle of America, blue collar jobs.
00:12:16.760 Um, it's an asymmetrical war on us, Steve, the left is doing to us what we don't do to them. And, and I went to prison. So you won't have to documents, uh, the range, you know, it starts with Dan Scavino and Mark Meadows, two, two folks I worked with in the white house.
00:12:38.760 They didn't go to jail, but they had to pay millions of dollars in legal fees. And then you got John, uh, John Eastman and Jeff Clark, who were lawyers helping the president and they're trying to take away their livelihood, uh, and, and bar cards.
00:12:55.180 And then you and me, Steve Mann and Peter Navarro go to prison for defending the constitutional separation of powers. And then Donald Trump, four courts, they try to put him in prison two times. They try to kill him.
00:13:09.240 And now they've assassinated in the most cowardly way, uh, one of the great young minds, uh, and, and political organizers, uh, we've ever seen throughout the history, uh, of America. So we have to fight back. And look, the only way I know how to fight back is with the pen. The pen's mightier than a sword. I write books. I try to explain to people what's going on.
00:13:36.520 And people need to understand if they can put you and me in prison, uh, they can, they can put all of us in prison. So I went to prison so you won't have to. It was a tagline from my speech at the Republican national convention. And I was simply like, come on America, please understand that if they can come for me, Bannon, Donald Trump, and then they took Charlie Kirk out and they go for John Eastman, Jeff Clark.
00:14:06.520 Uh, just, uh, Rudy, uh, Rudy, America's mayor. They bankrupted that poor man. I mean, that's unforgivable. And they're whining, uh, now about, uh, Jimmy Kimmel.
00:14:19.520 Hang, hang, hang, hang on a second. You're, you're coming out tomorrow. You're coming out tomorrow with the Washington contingent.
00:14:25.200 Rudy, who we tried to make, we tried, we, we tried, we tried to get Rudy out there because of his injury in this car accident. He's, he, and he's going to join us for the broadcast.
00:14:35.280 So we'll have the mayor on, we'll have Peter alive. Many of the person is his life. I'm going to ask Dr. Navarro stick around for a, just a minute or two on the other side to talk about.
00:14:45.280 We've got a whole schedule of activity with Dr. Navarro that we want to you to make sure you get into your calendar. Dr. Savage, Dr. Brett, Dr. Navarro next in the war room.
00:14:56.360 According to the department of energy, blackouts could increase by 10,000% over the next few years. It's because of massive energy demand from artificial intelligence data centers. We talk about that all the time here in the war room.
00:15:12.200 And we have a fragile power grid. It just cannot keep up with that demand. I don't know about you, but I don't like the idea of being without power even for a day. That's why I got the grid doctor 3,300 from my Patriot supply.
00:15:25.920 It's a powerful solar generator that runs refrigerators, AC units, medical devices, power tools, anything you need to write out a blackout.
00:15:35.120 And right now for their Christmas in July event, they're including over $1,000 in free survival gear with your generator.
00:15:43.120 Including emergency food supply, water filtration, survival tools, and more. You heard that right. Over $1,000 in free gear for a limited time.
00:15:53.760 Head to mypatriotsupply.com slash Bannon. That's mypatriotsupply.com slash Bannon. And grab the Christmas in July bundle before it's gone.

00:17:46.200 White House Trade Advisor Peter Navarro went to prison in 2024, convicted of contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena from the January 6th Committee after being found guilty on two counts.
00:17:57.440 In his new book, I Went to Prison So You Won't Have to, Peter Navarro lays out the Justice Department's case, his arrest and trial, and what it was like for him behind bars.
00:18:07.000 People think you're in a dorm rather than a cell.
00:18:10.300 It's like everybody told me there that they'd rather be in a cell because only you don't have to worry about one other guy.
00:18:16.680 You know, there's this thing called the lock and the sock, right?
00:18:19.440 You take a padlock, you throw it in a sock, and a lot of rough justice goes on like that.
00:18:25.840 White House Trade Advisor and author Peter Navarro, Sunday night at 8 Eastern on C-SPAN's Q&A.
00:18:31.300 You can listen to Q&A wherever you get your podcasts and on the C-SPAN Now app.
00:18:37.000 Is that the difference between a camp and an actual prison?
00:18:40.840 I'm just kidding.
00:18:41.660 We're not going to get in this fight today.
00:18:43.340 We are not going to get in this fight.
00:18:43.880 Yeah, we are.
00:18:45.140 Okay, here's what we're going to do.
00:18:45.920 Let's throw down.
00:18:46.660 Hang on.
00:18:47.100 No, no, no, we're not.
00:18:47.900 No, no, no.
00:18:49.220 So Peter Navarro coming out with the C-SPAN.
00:18:50.180 You inspired me to do that.
00:18:52.120 I wanted to, like, rub that in.
00:18:53.740 I was thinking, okay, this one's for you, Steve.
00:18:56.500 I'm not, hey, that's the difference between a convict and an inmate.
00:19:02.460 But anyway, I digress.
00:19:04.940 Peter's going to be with us tomorrow on the show, as many other people are.
00:19:09.360 Do you still remember your number?
00:19:14.220 I guess you don't.
00:19:16.580 Okay.
00:19:16.760 I keep my prison card in my wallet.
00:19:21.100 It's the top thing.
00:19:22.100 Peter, we've got to bounce because I've got time.
00:19:25.440 Tomorrow, you're going to join us during the commemoration.
00:19:27.500 You're actually going to come out with the D.C. contingent tomorrow, 8 o'clock tomorrow night.
00:19:32.600 When our coverage finishes, we're going to go right into the C-SPAN book talk Q&A with Peter about the book.
00:19:39.620 Dr. Navarro is going to join us Monday to give us his thoughts about what went down on Sunday
00:19:44.860 and other things related to his accountability, which he says is the sixth stage of grief I agree with.
00:19:50.780 And then on Tuesday night at 6 o'clock, our entire 6 o'clock show, it's going to be Dr. Navarro and myself going through the book
00:19:58.620 and other things related to Charlie Kirk and this movement.
00:20:01.680 So, Dr. Navarro, where do people go to get your writings?
00:20:05.100 You're prolific, as usual, about defending the president's policies.
00:20:09.720 You're the best we got on trade and the best I think we've ever had.
00:20:13.980 And I've got to tell you, Charlie Kirk and that generation of young people, Peter Navarro works every day to make sure those jobs are coming back for them.
00:20:22.840 And this is the linchpin of making sure that amazing generation, particularly young men from 18 to 30,
00:20:29.860 which I think is the most based generation we've ever had, really get a shot at having the best jobs in the world created by the American economy.
00:20:38.660 Dr. Navarro, where do people get you, sir, where they get the book?
00:20:41.040 The important thing is tomorrow, Steve, at 8 p.m. Eastern and 11 p.m. again, C-SPAN will play the hour-long interview.
00:20:50.980 And I really strongly encourage you to do that.
00:20:54.140 The important thing now is to go to Amazon right now, buy.
00:20:58.340 I went to prison so you won't have to.
00:21:01.360 Get the book out because what we have to do is get the message out.
00:21:05.300 If they can come for me and Steve and the rest of us, they can come for you.
00:21:10.320 We have to hold these people accountable.
00:21:12.940 You know, let's go to my Substack, peternavarro.substack.com.
00:21:16.620 And it's going to be a great week talking with you, Steve, about all of this.
00:21:21.980 I have my retro background here, by the way.
00:21:24.860 I don't know if you noticed my homage to your original route, Steve.
00:21:29.160 Pandemic from pandemic.
00:21:29.220 You went blue and modern on me a little bit, but I got the original pandemic background.
00:21:36.500 I love it.
00:21:36.940 I'm going to sell it on eBay when I retire, all right?
00:21:41.800 Okay, brother.
00:21:42.720 We'll see you tomorrow in Phoenix or Glendale, Arizona.
00:21:46.220 Thanks for doing your coverage tomorrow for 10 hours and to Rob Sagan, Parker at RAV.
00:21:54.020 Yeah.
00:21:54.620 Wouldn't have it any other way.
00:21:55.800 Thank you, brother.
00:21:56.460 Appreciate you.
00:21:57.940 Let's go ahead.
00:21:58.680 We've got a clip that's been very powerful.
00:22:00.380 It's gone viral multiple times about our next guest, Dr. Michael Savage.
00:22:04.380 Let's go ahead and let her rip.
00:22:06.100 Something's wrong.
00:22:08.380 I know I shouldn't do this.
00:22:10.400 I'm risking an awful lot to go up against this FBI, the MAGA FBI.
00:22:17.320 Something's very wrong with what I just heard.
00:22:21.520 I mean, I watched it.
00:22:22.720 I was hoping that they had caught the bastard who shot Charlie.
00:22:26.560 So we saw a video of a person jumping off the roof.
00:22:32.580 It looked very legitimate to me.
00:22:35.100 However, there was no rifle in his hand.
00:22:38.220 Now, the Mauser does not break down very easily, incidentally, for those of you who know weapons.
00:22:43.300 Something's wrong with the whole thing.
00:22:45.700 They're trying to claim he removed the barrel from the Mauser and fit the receiver and stock in his backpack and barrel in his pants, like, all in two seconds.
00:22:56.960 It is not easy to remove a Mauser barrel or index it after reinstalling and remain accurate.
00:23:05.240 We are not hearing or seeing reality.
00:23:06.960 And, by the way, the photo of the rifle allegedly left in the woods has the barrel installed.
00:23:15.160 So we're supposed to believe a guy is on the run after killing Charlie Kirk, and he pauses in the woods to reinstall a barrel, and then he leaves it for us to find, the FBI to find.
00:23:27.120 I don't believe a word of it.
00:23:29.160 I shouldn't do this.
00:23:30.420 I know I'm putting myself at risk.
00:23:32.640 But I can't take it anymore.
00:23:34.280 I can't take the ****** from this ****** government.
00:23:37.420 It's lying to us.
00:23:39.740 Let me jump in here.
00:23:42.860 Dr. Savage, you've got, particularly with President Trump, your close personal relationship with him, and you've got to go pretty far in the woods to hit your tripwire on this.
00:23:52.320 We've got about four minutes here.
00:23:53.840 We're going to hold you post the break.
00:23:56.480 What is your general concern with everything you've heard out of Utah about this situation, sir?
00:24:02.860 Nothing.
00:24:03.220 I don't know any more than anyone else does.
00:24:06.080 It is so muddied.
00:24:07.140 The waters are so muddied right now that it would take a diver with an acetylene torch to get into the wreck and pull out the corpse.
00:24:16.160 I have no idea, Steve, what the hell is going on.
00:24:20.060 The kid said, they say the kid confessed, right?
00:24:24.720 Okay.
00:24:25.320 Then they said he's not cooperating.
00:24:27.400 Then he was cooperating.
00:24:28.460 Then he wasn't cooperating.
00:24:29.540 Then the messaging between the alleged assassin and his trans roommate or his transitioning trans roommate, which would make him a trans trans roommate, seem to be very stilted.
00:24:43.960 For kids that age, they don't talk that way.
00:24:46.500 If you actually analyze the alleged messaging between the two of them, it doesn't seem like them.
00:24:54.420 People of their age don't talk that way.
00:24:55.900 In fact, someone did a complete analysis of that conversation.
00:25:00.760 And it seems that it was an AI written text message between the assassin or the alleged assassin and his roommate based on style, objective analysis of the text tone, style, dialogue is formal with complete sentences, proper punctuation, and no slang emojis or abbreviations.
00:25:22.780 It's typical of young adults texting casually.
00:25:27.760 Someone's actually analyzed this.
00:25:29.420 You know, there are a lot of smart people out there, Steve, who aren't in the government, who listen and watch, former intelligence operatives who are retired, who haven't lost their marbles, who are saying something's not right with the picture.
00:25:42.000 But again, how do we know whodunit?
00:25:47.780 It's a gigantic whodunit.
00:25:49.880 But does it matter who did it at this point?
00:25:52.440 The main thing is they killed the leader of the next generation of patriots, borders, language, culture, conservatives, kids who don't want their country to be taken away from them, kids who don't want America to become a piece of the EU or like the EU, or worse yet, devolve into Ukraine with a war.
00:26:16.460 So something's not adding up.
00:26:19.780 I don't think we're getting the whole truth.
00:26:21.160 But, Steve, again, you know, I live alone out in Northern California.
00:26:24.860 When I say live alone, meaning I work alone.
00:26:27.120 I don't have a crew.
00:26:27.940 I don't have a team.
00:26:29.020 I feed the birds.
00:26:30.300 I ride my bicycle.
00:26:31.260 I go out on my boat.
00:26:32.600 I talk to the pelicans as they fly over my boat.
00:26:35.360 I pray to God several times a day in a very deep manner, trying to reach God and get some residents.
00:26:41.480 It's one man looking in from the outside.
00:26:44.420 I have no answers to this, Steve.
00:26:46.040 I don't know.
00:26:47.540 Truthfully, don't know.
00:26:49.940 And, by the way, you said close to President Trump.
00:26:52.640 I wish that were so.
00:26:54.720 He just went to England.
00:26:56.820 I'm still banned from entering England, if you can believe it.
00:26:59.980 And I had sent a request that he at least raise the topic with the great Keith Starmer.
00:27:06.220 Crickets.
00:27:07.140 I don't get responses anymore from the White House, Steve.
00:27:10.100 I'm not part of the in crowd.
00:27:12.760 I mean, I wish I were.
00:27:13.580 I flew on Air Force One with the president in the last administration.
00:27:16.700 We shared a hot dog.
00:27:19.700 And he's a great man when you know him.
00:27:23.080 You know him better than I do.
00:27:24.900 He's a kind, gentle man to his friends and very sensitive.
00:27:28.840 And I know when he sees me, I see his eyes.
00:27:31.920 He likes me.
00:27:32.660 But the people around him right now, they seem to be a Praetorian guard that's impenetrable.
00:27:39.020 You can't get near him.
00:27:40.460 Even those who were instrumental in his rise, you can't get near him unless, I don't know,
00:27:47.740 unless you know someone in the inner circle protecting him from people like me.
00:27:51.920 Dr. Savage, hang on a second.
00:27:55.140 We're going to go to a commercial break.
00:27:56.420 Borders, language, culture.
00:27:59.460 An individual talked about that decades ago.
00:28:03.880 It's the problem before us today.
00:28:05.680 Dr. Michael Savage on the other side.
00:28:07.380 There's a lot of talk about government debt.
00:28:11.680 But after four years of inflation, the real crisis is personal debt.
00:28:16.620 Seriously, you're working harder than ever.
00:28:18.720 And you're still drowning in credit card debt and overdue bills.
00:28:23.200 You need done with debt.
00:28:25.300 And here's why you need it.
00:28:26.460 The credit system is rigged to keep you trapped.
00:28:30.140 Done with debt has unique and frankly, brilliant escape strategies to help end your debt fast.
00:28:36.320 So you keep more of your hard-earned money.
00:28:39.740 Done with debt doesn't try to sell you a loan and they don't try to sell you a bankruptcy.
00:28:45.060 They're tough negotiators that go one-on-one with your credit card and loan companies with one goal,
00:28:50.380 to drastically reduce your bills and eliminate interest and erase penalties.
00:28:55.880 Most clients end up with more money in their pocket month one,
00:28:59.900 and they don't stop until they break you free from debt permanently.
00:29:06.320 Look, take a couple of minutes and visit donewithdebt.com.
00:29:10.100 Talk with one of their strategists.
00:29:11.760 It's free.
00:29:12.760 But listen up.
00:29:14.100 Some of their solutions are time-sensitive, so you'll need to move quickly.
00:29:18.720 Go to donewithdebt.com.
00:29:20.320 That's donewithdebt.com.
00:29:21.960 Stop the anxiety.
00:29:23.580 Stop the angst.
00:29:24.780 Go to donewithdebt.com and do it today.
00:29:27.020 This Sunday, Real America's Voice pauses to honor a patriot whose voice carried a movement.
00:29:35.560 RAV presents Charlie Kirk, A Legacy Remembered.
00:29:39.620 We will achieve American greatness, and we are just getting started.
00:29:43.940 From campuses to the national stage, Charlie inspired millions to stand boldly for faith, freedom, and country.
00:29:51.200 Now, we reflect on his life, his mission, and the legacy he leaves behind.
00:29:57.220 The evildoers responsible for my husband's assassination have no idea what they have done.
00:30:07.660 When America needed a hero, God sent us a Charlie Kirk.
00:30:11.300 Hosted by Steve Bannon, live coverage of Charlie Kirk's funeral service begins at 10 a.m. Eastern.
00:30:18.760 Join us as we remember a life that will never be forgotten.
00:30:23.020 Only on Real America's Voice.
00:30:25.440 I adapted a book in my years as a filmmaker, a producer, and financier.
00:30:35.480 I adapted Peter Schweitzer's book, Reagan's War, about the opening of the files of the KGB and looking back over President Reagan.
00:30:43.380 And it was called, the film we retitled as In the Face of Evil.
00:30:48.500 It was shortly thereafter the release, I met Dr. Michael Savage for the first time.
00:30:52.460 That's 20 years ago.
00:30:53.480 And he was, at that time, I think, one of the two or three towering interlects that were saving the country's borders, language, culture.
00:31:02.940 Dr. Savage, when did you come up with that phrase?
00:31:05.500 Because what I loved about you, it was like a howitzer.
00:31:09.100 Boom.
00:31:09.660 Every show, boom.
00:31:10.940 Every segment, you went back to it just for relentless.
00:31:14.420 But it was the foundational intellectual element of the nationalist side of the Trump movement.
00:31:21.120 What do you mean by borders, language, culture?
00:31:24.600 Thanks, Steve.
00:31:25.360 By the way, thank you for having me on the show.
00:31:27.340 I haven't seen you in years.
00:31:28.620 You look great and you do a great show, incidentally.
00:31:31.800 Just loved seeing Peter on.
00:31:33.340 It was amazing to watch this.
00:31:34.820 So, 1994, I began in radio.
00:31:39.080 A few months later, I created a new movement called, which by, oh my goodness, I created, why do people call me?
00:31:46.920 I created a new movement.
00:31:48.820 I have to shut my phone.
00:31:50.200 I'm sorry, Steve.
00:31:50.760 I created a new movement at the time that predated the MAGA movement.
00:31:56.080 It predated the Tea Party.
00:31:58.040 It was called the Paul Revere Society.
00:32:00.560 We used to get groups together, 2,000 people, screaming patriots.
00:32:04.500 They never heard anything like this in liberal Marin County, in liberal San Francisco, in Oakland.
00:32:10.560 And I had to define what the Paul Revere Society stood for, which was, I said, borders, language, culture.
00:32:17.700 It was right in the original cards of the PRS.
00:32:20.900 And I said, a nation is defined by its borders, language, and culture.
00:32:27.040 Now, there's not a nation on Earth, whether it be an island nation in the Caribbean, you name it, Trinidad, or the United States of America, that is not or should not be defined by its borders, language, and culture.
00:32:39.900 Which is exactly why the internationalists have gone after our borders, and every border on the planet, George Soros, open border society, open border society.
00:32:51.360 Are you kidding me?
00:32:52.400 So he went after the borders.
00:32:54.080 He turns us into a polyglot nation, a Tower of Babel, so people don't know what the hell they're talking about, and they can't communicate with each other, and then the elites can manipulate them.
00:33:03.240 And culture.
00:33:04.200 Well, what is our culture?
00:33:06.200 What is our culture?
00:33:07.180 Well, it certainly isn't, let us say, teaching children how to do a trans dance in the first grade.
00:33:15.020 That wouldn't be our culture.
00:33:17.220 Culture would be the founding principles of our nation, which would be the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, if you want to just simplify it.
00:33:25.440 And that message resonated with people, Stephen, because everybody can relate to BLC, borders, language, culture.
00:33:30.980 And in Europe, look at Europe, look what's going on in Europe because of the elites, how they've destroyed every European nation, with people from Africa, people from the Middle East, who are raping their way across the continent, living on welfare.
00:33:47.660 It's shocking to see the people being so suppressed with almost no reaction.
00:33:55.120 You were talking before about the people reacting, I think, to Peter.
00:34:00.500 And Peter said he uses the pen.
00:34:05.260 He's right.
00:34:06.060 The pen is mightier than the sword until you're thrown into a prison cell and denied basic human rights.
00:34:11.780 Then the pen is worthless.
00:34:13.820 That's the problem, Steve.
00:34:15.220 And I don't know how far we're going to go.
00:34:17.100 Here's what worries me the most.
00:34:18.820 I mean, I'm just, you know, rapping with you right now.
00:34:22.260 Trump can only be in office for a maximum number, a couple of years, right?
00:34:25.820 Then his administration's over, correct?
00:34:29.680 Steve, am I with you?
00:34:30.580 I don't even know.
00:34:31.460 We are working.
00:34:32.640 Yeah, we are working on alternatives.
00:34:35.240 We're working on alternatives right now because I say, hey, unless you got Trump, I don't know how you pull this off.
00:34:40.560 And they're liable to win with a communist, the way things are going in this country.
00:34:49.220 Look at what's going on in New York City.
00:34:50.540 A Newsom AOC ticket, which shows you everything you need to know, right?
00:34:57.700 That would be the least of our problems.
00:35:00.460 By the way, a Newsom would be the least of our problems, not the worst of our problems.
00:35:06.860 Mom Donnie would be the worst of our problems if the 9-11 types took over America.
00:35:14.580 Think about New York City, a city that was bombed on 9-11 by these airplanes.
00:35:18.980 Now he's electing a man who's overtly and clearly and clinically a front for the Muslim Brotherhood.
00:35:25.700 I mean, there's no other way to analyze this guy.
00:35:28.040 These people are so stoned on this heavyweight marijuana, they don't even know what they're doing in that city.
00:35:33.320 And they're saying, you know what, anyone but a big white guy like Trump, F him, screw him.
00:35:37.540 We don't want the rich guys.
00:35:38.800 We don't care who takes over.
00:35:40.420 We just don't care.
00:35:41.360 Just anybody but him.
00:35:42.580 That's what's going on in the country.
00:35:44.240 That's the lazy zeitgeist of what's the undertone in this country.
00:35:47.640 And there's only one Trump and there's no one to replace him that I can see.
00:35:51.100 Dr. Savage, I want to go back to – by the way, I agree with you 100%.
00:35:58.640 I want to go back to accountability.
00:36:01.400 Look, the 60s, it started coming unwound with the assassination of JFK and the cover-up where Americans really, you know, from that post-war generation really start to –
00:36:11.600 and the greatest generation started to lose their confidence in American institutions.
00:36:16.580 Doesn't that make your video the reason it went mega viral is that people are saying they go, Michael Savage, what Dr. Savage is saying is correct.
00:36:23.800 We need to get to the bottom of this.
00:36:25.220 We need accountability.
00:36:26.720 We need to know exactly what happened here because nothing makes sense.
00:36:30.280 The videos don't make sense.
00:36:31.960 The text messages are an insult to people's intelligence, an insult, a brazen insult.
00:36:36.480 He's writing – they got the guy from ABC News, David Muir's, you know, reporter that's crying because, you know, he says, wow, it's so touching and so lovely what he said to his partner.
00:36:47.280 He wrote a Shakespeare sonnet in the middle of this.
00:36:49.180 This is ridiculous.
00:36:49.980 So talk to us about how we bind together to make sure there's accountability here and we get to the bottom of, I believe, a vast conspiracy to assassinate and execute Charlie Kirk.
00:37:03.260 I can't answer the question.
00:37:04.800 How do I know?
00:37:05.580 As I tried to say to you earlier, I work in my own vacuum.
00:37:09.780 I'm just a man looking in from the outside.
00:37:12.080 I feel like I'm in brobbing dang.
00:37:14.100 Okay, you know the reference, of course.
00:37:16.200 I'm looking in from the outside.
00:37:17.960 I don't have any inside information.
00:37:19.600 I don't talk to anyone in the government.
00:37:21.420 I don't have any contacts in the government.
00:37:24.040 I use plain native intelligence, deductive reasoning, and watch the world go around, and none of it adds up.
00:37:33.460 That this kid did it on his own.
00:37:36.340 From the shot, everyone, oh, it's an easy shot from 250 yards.
00:37:39.660 Really?
00:37:39.960 It's that easy?
00:37:40.780 At that angle?
00:37:42.400 Who says that's an easy shot, even with a telescope?
00:37:44.800 Is it?
00:37:46.240 Then what's up with the hand signals?
00:37:47.660 What was that with the hat and the hands?
00:37:49.560 Did that ever get resolved, Steve?
00:37:51.320 Who were those guys?
00:37:52.360 Remember the hand signals?
00:37:54.740 What was that, those two guys?
00:37:55.860 Who were they?
00:37:57.600 Nothing.
00:37:57.840 Remember that?
00:37:58.240 Nothing's been resolved.
00:37:58.700 Those came out?
00:37:59.460 Nothing.
00:37:59.920 No one knows who they were.
00:38:01.200 Yes.
00:38:01.920 And the way, I keep telling people, the way to put that down is to flood the zone with real information.
00:38:06.040 The governor went up there.
00:38:06.960 Remember the first time the governor talked?
00:38:08.700 He talked about the guy changing clothes and changing clothes on the roof.
00:38:11.700 I still ask the question, and I've watched this thing now 100 times.
00:38:15.520 I don't see a gun being dropped off the roof.
00:38:18.800 Now, people are saying, oh, no, no.
00:38:19.980 And they said the other day, the DA, that he dropped a gun off the roof.
00:38:23.940 I mean, Dr. Savage has watched it a number of times.
00:38:26.440 You haven't seen it.
00:38:27.360 I haven't seen it.
00:38:28.220 It just, it strains credulity what we're being asked to accept.
00:38:32.780 And the cover-up of Kennedy is one of the reasons that you've had this loss of faith in our institutions, sir.
00:38:40.000 Well, the Kirk killer, Robinson, and his text messages to his paramour seems like, not like Gen Z texting, by the way.
00:38:53.580 It seems like it was written as a screenplay from someone in Hollywood.
00:38:59.800 Immature guys in their 20s don't talk that way on texts.
00:39:02.900 The confessing guy, Robinson, he's calm, articulate, he's not sloppy, not frantic.
00:39:11.580 And there's something unusual about the text messaging between him and his boyfriend.
00:39:16.340 They feel stiff, literary, like dialogue from a, what's that, I won't say HBO, a Netflix crime drama.
00:39:26.060 So, you've got that.
00:39:28.540 I mean, I think we, the people, have a right to ask the questions, don't we, of the authorities, Steve?
00:39:33.740 You, you, you're close.
00:39:35.360 Can I ask you something, Steve?
00:39:36.700 Are you still close to the president?
00:39:40.200 Are you still advised?
00:39:41.400 I think we would say that, I don't want to give up the conversation, but I think, you know, you can see by the stuff we do on the show and where it goes that we make sure that our voice is heard.
00:39:53.120 Let's say that.
00:39:53.800 And I agree with you.
00:39:54.620 It's not easy.
00:39:55.200 You have to, you have to make sure that, that your voice is heard.
00:39:59.420 But I think on here, like, for instance, we just talked about the Secretary of Treasury earlier and the big fights on that and H-1B visas.
00:40:06.300 So, but you're correct.
00:40:07.600 It's not, it's not easy and you have to be very focused and you have to know how to kind of push it.
00:40:12.400 But I agree.
00:40:12.900 And I think there's so many people like you that have been key advisors and not even advisors, but setting the intellectual tone of the populist nationalist movement.
00:40:21.880 We only got a couple of minutes real quickly.
00:40:23.340 Why are you still banned?
00:40:25.440 I want you at Nation to hear this.
00:40:26.900 Why are you still banned from entering England, of which we're cutting all these trade deals with?
00:40:31.160 Why is Dr. Michael Savage banned from going to England?
00:40:33.940 This was a book written when I was banned in 2009.
00:40:36.740 It's been almost 20 years, 15, 20 years, I don't know how long.
00:40:40.060 I am still banned from Britain for things I said and did not say.
00:40:44.380 And the fact of the matter is, it was a grave injustice.
00:40:47.100 It still is a grave injustice.
00:40:48.340 I reached out to President Trump before the trip saying, please talk to Starmer about getting this man off the list.
00:40:55.600 Never heard anything back from the individual that I texted, actually sent the whole file to.
00:41:01.220 And I spent $400,000 at the time to get my name off the list.
00:41:06.620 I was told you will never get your name off the list.
00:41:08.980 You can't fight a government.
00:41:09.900 I felt point blank, no one has ever successfully fought a government and won in a court, in a court of law.
00:41:16.120 Well, we got emails back and forth from then Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
00:41:23.120 And Gordon Brown said, we have to balance the list, meaning there's enough Muslim terrorists on the list who are not permitted to enter England.
00:41:31.100 We got to balance the list.
00:41:32.220 So let's find an American Jew to put the tail on the donkey.
00:41:36.260 That was me.
00:41:37.340 See?
00:41:37.780 See how they balanced the list?
00:41:39.000 And this came from within the United States of America.
00:41:42.480 We traced it back.
00:41:43.780 I can't name names because we're not sure.
00:41:46.140 Inside the Democrat Party, they communicated with the then secretary of whoever, Jackie Smith.
00:41:52.200 And they made me the same, equal to Russian skinheads who had killed people in the streets.
00:42:00.720 Hamas terrorists who had beaten the brains out of children, Jewish children on buses.
00:42:05.200 How did that happen that a talk show host who, if he said anything like that, would have been thrown off the air before he finished the words?
00:42:14.200 I never said those things that they accused me of.
00:42:18.300 You know what I said that got them crazy?
00:42:20.180 I said, what's going to happen if England becomes an Islamic country and they get a nuclear bomb?
00:42:29.080 Would you rather see 100 million of us killed or 100 million of them killed?
00:42:32.880 So they twisted it.
00:42:34.560 The Jake Tappers, the Wolf Blitzers, and people like that in the media jumped down my throat and said, Savage said kill 100 million Muslims.
00:42:41.600 I never said that.
00:42:43.000 I was using it on analysis saying, wait a minute, Europe's becoming Islamist.
00:42:47.260 This was 15 years ago I saw what was happening.
00:42:50.380 And I said, wait till they take over a country with nuclear weapons like France or England.
00:42:54.700 And they get a nuclear weapon.
00:42:56.440 I said, would you rather 100 million of them die or 100 million of us die?
00:43:00.080 So they twisted that to me saying, kill 100 million Muslims.
00:43:02.540 Who would say a thing like that?
00:43:04.360 I didn't.
00:43:06.100 Dr. Savage, hang on one second.
00:43:08.320 We're going to hold you through, I know you've got to bounce through the commercial break.
00:43:13.140 Make sure people have your coordinates of where you get your show, your content, all of it.
00:43:17.320 Birchgold.com, take your phone out and text to Bannon at 989898.
00:43:22.160 The ultimate guide for investing in gold and precious metals in the age of trouble.
00:43:27.380 What if he had the brightest mind in the war room delivering critical financial research every month?
00:43:33.620 Steve Bannon here.
00:43:34.740 War Room listeners know Jim Rickards.
00:43:36.400 I love this guy.
00:43:37.260 He's our wise man, a former CIA, Pentagon and White House advisor with an unmatched grasp of geopolitics and capital markets.
00:43:45.500 Jim predicted Trump's Electoral College victory exactly 312 to 226, down to the actual number itself.
00:43:54.880 Now he's issuing a dire warning about April 11th, a moment that could define Trump's presidency in your financial future.
00:44:01.920 His latest book, Money GPT, exposes how AI is setting the stage for financial chaos, bank runs at lightning speeds, algorithm-driven crashes, and even threats to national security.
00:44:14.120 Right now, war room members get a free copy of Money GPT when they sign up for Strategic Intelligence.
00:44:20.280 This is Jim's flagship financial newsletter, Strategic Intelligence.
00:44:25.540 I read it.
00:44:26.580 You should read it.
00:44:27.620 Time is running out.
00:44:28.560 Go to RickardsWarRoom.com.
00:44:30.400 That's all one word, Rickards War Room.
00:44:32.300 Rickards with an S.

00:44:36.180 That's RickardsWarRoom.com.
00:44:38.760 Do it today.
00:44:39.340 Here's your host, Stephen K.
00:44:43.160 Bannon.
00:44:47.100 Dr. Savage, we're going to work to get you back on next week.
00:44:49.580 You had a big story about artificial intelligence.
00:44:51.720 You want to talk about it.
00:44:52.420 Our audience is huge on that.
00:44:54.960 Coordinates, where do they get your podcast, social media?
00:44:57.400 Where do they get up to speed on everything Dr. Savage is talking about?
00:45:01.860 Talk to God.
00:45:02.600 He'll answer the question.
00:45:03.660 He knows more about it than I do.
00:45:05.440 He knows where I've come from and where I'm going.
00:45:07.600 But I'm on X at A Savage Nation.
00:45:11.740 And my podcast, you just go to MichaelSavage.com.
00:45:14.480 It has 500 episodes of my podcasts.
00:45:17.500 I left radio four years ago.
00:45:19.600 I don't know how long ago.
00:45:20.220 I only do podcasts and some appearances on TV and on your show once every 10 years.
00:45:26.660 But basically, I like X.
00:45:33.700 I'm addicted to it.
00:45:35.200 It's too much of an addiction, by the way.
00:45:36.860 I'm like an eight-year-old on the tweeting.
00:45:39.600 And I got to stop because I'm starting to get a little nuts with it.
00:45:42.960 You know, you can make mistakes on X.
00:45:44.840 The problem with tweeting it.
00:45:46.100 Anyway, at A Savage Nation, the podcast is, I think it's the Savage Nation podcast.
00:45:53.040 That's what it is.
00:45:54.540 500 episodes.
00:45:55.700 Yeah.
00:45:55.860 I'm going to talk to you after.
00:45:57.380 I'll track you down this afternoon.
00:45:58.760 I'm going to try to get you.
00:45:59.500 We'd love to have you participate in our commemoration tomorrow, 10 hours from Glendale, from Cardinal Stadium.
00:46:06.180 Dr. Michael Savage, the audience loves you, sir.
00:46:09.300 You're a towering intellect.
00:46:10.700 It's been one of the great patriots in the late 20th and early 21st century, sir.
00:46:15.240 Never forget that, Dr. Michael Savage.
00:46:16.640 Coming from you, it means a lot, Steve.
00:46:18.300 Thanks for making my life meaningful.
00:46:21.820 Thanks, brother.
00:46:22.680 No, you made the, not just your life meaningful, you helped save your country, sir.
00:46:27.660 Remember Savage?
00:46:29.020 What I love about Savage, he's going to give it to you with both barrels, man.
00:46:32.080 There's no, there's no sugarcoating.
00:46:36.380 He's going to give it right to you.
00:46:38.240 Dave Bratt, you're going to be joining us tomorrow also from Liberty.
00:46:42.920 Give me a minute or two on the eve of the commemoration of the celebration of life with Charlie Kirk.
00:46:50.160 Yeah, well, the whole show, what you're doing today is a commemoration because it honors his life with everything you said.
00:46:56.300 Dr. Savage borders language, culture.
00:46:58.600 However, here's what else we don't know anything about.
00:47:02.260 JFK, RFK, Reagan, Nixon, Trump, Charlie Kirk, Martin Luther King.
00:47:07.120 We don't know anything about any of these.
00:47:08.920 It is a stunning, right?
00:47:10.960 We have a ruling class.
00:47:12.420 And so I'm going to end where you started the show on this escalatory ladder.
00:47:16.560 You asked us about our degrees.
00:47:17.940 There's two moral philosophers that have subdivided this world into two parts.
00:47:23.080 One is Adam Smith, moral philosopher, economist.
00:47:25.440 The other is Karl Marx, a communist.
00:47:27.440 Adam Smith's system of natural liberty is compatible with Christianity and liberty.
00:47:34.260 Karl Marx, for the young people out there, and this is what Charlie spent his whole life on, right, was connecting all these ideas and all these dots that matter for your future.
00:47:43.200 Karl Marx and socialism.
00:47:44.620 We have three years to tear it down, right?
00:47:47.560 The real power of socially – it's not just an economic system.
00:47:50.400 It's a power system and a set of ruling elites that have taken over this country when it comes to Federal Reserve, et cetera.
00:47:57.300 They have 100 different financial instruments they use to control the interest rate.
00:48:01.480 It ought to be one.
00:48:02.480 It ought to be the money supply, and that's it.
00:48:04.100 I could go on forever, but we need to tear it down, get back to the basics of natural liberty, get rid of the federal government, return it to the states.
00:48:12.320 When we've revolutionized a guy like Dave Bratt, we're winning.
00:48:16.560 Bratt, what's your social media?
00:48:17.840 We'll see you tomorrow.
00:48:19.340 Yeah, just Bratt Economics on Getter.
00:48:21.080 Go to Getter on X as well.
00:48:23.760 Thank you.

00:50:28.240 President of the United States will be out there.
