00:00:00.000 But it brought out the greatness of Charlie.
00:00:03.340 Nothing could have ever supplanted this.
00:00:07.940 It's incredible the way people are talking about
00:00:10.220 him and and with great love.
00:00:14.020 I mean, I read so many stories about some of
00:00:16.680 the enemies, but I watch the enemies and it's hard
00:00:19.520 for them to speak badly about him because they
00:00:22.160 just don't.
00:00:22.820 And then you do have people in the days since
00:00:25.360 Charlie's killing.
00:00:26.160 We've seen exactly why our country so dearly
00:00:30.000 needed his example.
00:00:32.100 We've watched legions of far left radicals resort to
00:00:36.140 desperate acts of violence and terror because they
00:00:39.140 know that their ideas and arguments are persuading no
00:00:41.940 one.
00:00:42.780 They know that they're failing.
00:00:44.280 They have the devil's ideology and they're
00:00:47.860 failing and they know it.
00:00:49.220 They feel it.
00:00:51.020 And they become violent.
00:00:53.160 They seem to become very violent on the left.
00:00:56.560 They've rammed vehicles into federal law enforcement
00:00:59.860 fired sniper rifles at ICE agents and me, you know.
00:01:04.960 But I was I made a turn at a good time.
00:01:08.340 I made a turn at a good time.
00:01:09.740 I turned to the right.
00:01:12.140 Charlie couldn't believe it actually.
00:01:13.600 He said, how the hell did you make that turn?
00:01:16.240 I said, I don't know.
00:01:17.880 But fired rifles and threatened the lives of our
00:01:22.220 Supreme Court justices are great justices.
00:01:24.620 They have to be protected.
00:01:26.320 We just issued a lot of money, $60 million to
00:01:31.320 protect the Supreme Court justices.
00:01:34.100 Very important.
00:01:34.900 We can't let anything happen in places of worship.
00:01:38.400 We're protecting our people.
00:01:41.100 We've seen that a candidate for attorney general in
00:01:44.580 Virginia boasted that he would want to see the
00:01:47.920 Republican legislature, a legislator in Virginia
00:01:52.720 shot in the head and to see his children murdered.
00:01:56.020 He actually said this.
00:01:58.400 And now he continues to run for office and most people
00:02:01.060 continue to back him.
00:02:02.200 But he said he wants his man shot, said shot in the
00:02:05.660 head and to see his children murdered.
00:02:08.180 And they keep running.
00:02:11.380 Pretty amazing, right?
00:02:12.380 That's a bad one.
00:02:14.020 Let's see how that turns out.
00:02:15.160 But that's a really bad one.
00:02:16.380 Nobody's heard that one before, especially in the
00:02:19.420 wake of Charlie's assassination.
00:02:21.160 Our country must have absolutely no tolerance for
00:02:24.260 this radical left violence, extremism and terror.
00:02:27.740 We're done with the angry mobs and we're not going to
00:02:30.800 let our cities be unsafe.
00:02:33.440 We're going to make sure our cities are safe.
00:02:35.140 When you have Chicago, where they had 4,000 people
00:02:37.980 murdered over a very short period of time, 4,000
00:02:41.280 people.
00:02:42.860 And then we have a governor stand up and say, oh,
00:02:44.860 things are going swimmingly.
00:02:47.260 No, they're not.
00:02:48.660 We're going to make Chicago safe, just like we're
00:02:50.820 going to make.
00:02:52.060 Look what we did in D.C.
00:02:53.320 It's so nice that we started here because this
00:02:55.240 was one of the most violent places in the United States.
00:02:58.840 It would be dangerous to be right out here.
00:03:01.740 But you couldn't go to a restaurant.
00:03:03.240 The restaurants were all dying.
00:03:04.540 The whole place was dying.
00:03:05.740 You'd have these gorgeous look at the Washington
00:03:07.740 monument over there.
00:03:08.740 You'd have these gorgeous buildings and monuments and
00:03:11.320 structures.
00:03:12.880 And people were afraid to leave their apartment.
00:03:15.020 They were afraid to go to work.
00:03:17.620 They'd get into an Uber and they'd feel safe.
00:03:20.320 And then the Uber would be attacked.
00:03:22.720 They thought they made it and then the Uber was
00:03:25.160 attacked on the trip in.
00:03:27.800 But we've done a great job.
00:03:29.200 And now it's considered a totally safe city.
00:03:32.200 We haven't had problems.
00:03:33.940 Took us 12 days to make it great.
00:03:35.800 We took out, Pam, 1,700 hard criminals.
00:03:40.040 Career criminals in many cases.
00:03:41.880 But these are hardened criminals.
00:03:43.380 Many of them came in through the Biden open borders.
00:03:45.940 We brought them back to the countries.
00:03:48.080 And a couple were so violent that we put them in jail.
00:03:50.180 We don't want to take a chance that they could get back in.
00:03:52.820 Because no matter how good we do, somebody can sneak in.
00:03:55.120 We did, they were so violent and so, so bad.
00:03:58.620 One arrested 28 times.
00:04:00.200 Every time he left prison, he'd get into a violent incident.
00:04:04.220 28 times.
00:04:05.900 And we put him away for a long time.
00:04:09.240 But we're done with the angry mobs.
00:04:10.900 We're done with it.
00:04:11.700 This is such an unbelievable place right now.
00:04:15.580 You take a look where you can walk down the middle of the street
00:04:18.640 with your wife or your husband.
00:04:20.020 Your children can walk.
00:04:21.120 They can walk alone.
00:04:22.080 It doesn't matter, they can walk anywhere in Washington.
00:04:25.020 And they're safe now.
00:04:26.760 If this were a year and a half ago, a year ago,
00:04:30.460 they'd have a serious chance of being badly hurt, even killed.
00:04:36.600 Even killed.
00:04:37.200 They'd come in from Indiana.
00:04:38.600 They'd come in from Iowa.
00:04:40.040 They'd come from Florida to see their nation's capital.
00:04:43.840 And somebody would have to call the parents.
00:04:45.540 I'm sorry, but your son or your daughter's been killed.
00:04:49.100 Not anymore.
00:04:49.680 You hear those sirens going off?
00:04:51.540 That's good.
00:04:52.040 That's a good sound.
00:04:53.800 That means they either got the bad guy or they're going to stop the bad guy.
00:04:57.380 You didn't hear that sound because nobody wanted to do anything.
00:05:02.220 Nobody.
00:05:02.660 Listen to the beauty of that sound.
00:05:05.780 Seriously.
00:05:06.980 And that's the real deal sirens.
00:05:08.360 They're not politically correct sirens.
00:05:10.060 You hear them?
00:05:10.760 They're about three miles away.
00:05:12.920 That's great.
00:05:13.420 What a beautiful sound.
00:05:15.340 They're stopping crime.
00:05:16.540 That's what they're doing.
00:05:18.660 So we're done with the voices of fools.
00:05:21.500 They're fools and death threats.
00:05:24.060 And we're going to make our cities safe.
00:05:26.940 And I thought it was Charlie's.
00:05:28.240 One of his biggest dreams was that he couldn't believe it.
00:05:32.000 Chicago is going to be a great city again.
00:05:34.900 We've already, you know, we sent people in there six months ago.
00:05:37.580 And this governor said, well, crime is down.
00:05:40.080 Yeah, that's because we had the FBI in there for six months just preparing it for the bigger surge.
00:05:47.020 And they've done a great job, the cash and the FBI.
00:05:50.360 They've done a great job.
00:05:51.360 And they love doing it.
00:05:52.420 You know, they love being able to do it.
00:05:54.320 They were restricted from doing it.
00:05:56.120 They couldn't do anything.
00:05:58.200 And now they're totally unrestricted.
00:06:01.160 They all they have to do is stop crime.
00:06:03.780 And they're doing it.
00:06:04.540 By the way, Memphis, as you know, you heard, they went in about a week ago.
00:06:08.400 One of the most dangerous places in the country, really in the world.
00:06:11.740 It's not just the country.
00:06:12.820 They have very few cities that would compare to some of these cities.
00:06:16.700 You go to Afghanistan, you say, oh, that's unsafe.
00:06:19.000 Well, the crime numbers are much better than the crime numbers in places that we have.
00:06:25.600 So Memphis, I understand, is doing unbelievably in one week.
00:06:29.640 It's like a different place.
00:06:30.840 And this took 12 days.
00:06:32.940 And then after that, we just perfected it.
00:06:35.280 But after 12 days, we had good safety here.
00:06:37.780 After one month, it's like it's really amazing.
00:06:41.880 And by the way, restaurants are booming.
00:06:43.980 Restaurants are opening up.
00:06:45.360 The big problem we have, you can't get into a restaurant in D.C. anymore.
00:06:49.260 So they're opening up.
00:06:50.380 It's a beautiful thing to see.
00:06:51.760 It's called safety.
00:06:53.720 It's called law enforcement and letting them do their job.
00:06:58.000 And that's why I said last month that I have directed the Attorney General
00:07:01.900 and the Department of Homeland Security to confront the very real threat
00:07:06.000 of left wing terrorism in our country.
00:07:08.000 It's a real threat.
00:07:09.480 And not when you confront it, it's not because they're not brave people.
00:07:14.420 In fact, they're cowards.
00:07:17.220 When you confront them, they immediately fold.
00:07:20.660 You have to see them fold.
00:07:21.760 You have to see them crying.
00:07:23.820 They fold.
00:07:25.720 But it includes dismantling the networks that fund them and finance them.
00:07:29.500 And we're finding out who those networks are.
00:07:31.300 We already know quite a few of them.
00:07:33.540 When you see these violent incidents and then you see people holding this gorgeous sign
00:07:40.820 with beautiful wood, beautiful cardboard, wood, everything, everything's perfect paint job.
00:07:48.160 And they're all the same.
00:07:49.480 There are thousands of them.
00:07:51.360 You know that they weren't made in the basement out of love.
00:07:55.420 They were made by anarchists and, in some cases, wealthy.
00:08:00.360 I'll probably find some of my nice friends that are up there being so nice to me, especially
00:08:06.400 lately.
00:08:07.400 They're being very nice.
00:08:08.960 But it surprises you who they may be.
00:08:12.440 And you almost wonder why, why, why would they do it?
00:08:16.500 But they're hurting our country.
00:08:17.700 And we're really taking it back one by one.
00:08:19.900 If we didn't go into Los Angeles early on in the administration, the commissioner, the
00:08:25.760 chief of police, Los Angeles said, if they didn't go in, we would have lost our city.
00:08:30.760 Now, they already lost 25,000 houses to fire because they wouldn't let the water come
00:08:34.520 in from the Pacific Northwest, which they should have done.
00:08:37.940 And I said, you better do it.
00:08:40.180 They didn't do it.
00:08:41.180 And we had 25,000 homes where they had no water in their sprinklers.
00:08:45.520 They had no water in the fire hydrants.
00:08:48.200 It would have been a different kind of a thing if they did what they were supposed to do.
00:08:51.740 We had a break in.
00:08:52.740 We broke in and had the water come down.
00:08:54.840 They actually, they said for the environment, great.
00:08:57.660 They lost 25,000 houses.
00:09:00.260 It's incredible.
00:09:01.260 But the commissioner said without the federal government and President Trump's intervention,
00:09:05.880 we would have lost the entire city.
00:09:07.980 And we have the Olympics going there soon.
00:09:10.320 I got the Olympics.
00:09:11.320 We have the Olympics.
00:09:12.320 We have the World Cup.
00:09:13.640 But we have, most importantly, we have the 250th anniversary of our country.
00:09:18.440 That's going to be most important.
00:09:21.000 And all of these things are happening, and we're going to have safe cities.
00:09:23.520 We're going to have very, very safe cities.
00:09:25.440 So one month after Charlie's death, we still feel the terrible shock and the pain of his loss,
00:09:32.260 like just about nobody I can think of.
00:09:35.460 Charlie Kirk was one of a kind.
00:09:37.420 He was unstoppable.
00:09:39.520 And he really was, boy, when he had an idea in his head, oh, he was, he would call me,
00:09:44.320 sir, please, you haven't done it yet.
00:09:46.880 I said, Charlie, relax.
00:09:48.980 Just relax.
00:09:50.260 He didn't relax.
00:09:51.260 He called me the next day again.
00:09:52.520 He got it done.
00:09:54.520 But he was like indomitable and always will be, he's really irreplaceable.
00:09:59.880 Nobody's going to replace him.
00:10:01.720 But they're going to do great.
00:10:03.080 But you can't replace that kind of person and that kind of talent, frankly.
00:10:07.700 The word talent is an important word, but that kind of talent.
00:10:11.420 So we hold his memory in our hearts forever.
00:10:13.700 Every single day of this administration, we will continue to carry out the mission for
00:10:18.880 which he lived.
00:10:19.880 And he really did.
00:10:20.880 He lived for this country.
00:10:21.880 He lived for his wife and his family.
00:10:22.880 But he lived for this country, too.
00:10:25.660 In Charlie's honor, we will continue, like we have been, to fight, fight, fight, and
00:10:32.000 to win, win, win.
00:10:33.120 We're going to win so much.
00:10:36.120 So the Presidential Medal of Freedom is a big deal.
00:10:44.560 You have the Congressional Medal of Honor, military, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom,
00:10:50.240 which is civilian, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom is a really big deal.
00:10:55.560 Very few people get it.
00:10:58.060 Very few people, frankly, qualify.
00:11:00.000 It's a decision of the President, but it's a qualification that's a very hard one to
00:11:04.900 get.
00:11:06.440 And I would like to ask, if I might, the military aide to read Charles James Kirk's citation
00:11:13.640 for the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
00:11:17.820 Thank you very much.
00:11:18.940 The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded to Charles James Kirk.
00:11:47.740 Including on behalf of Charlie is his wife, Mrs. Erica Kirk.
00:11:52.860 Charlie Kirk was one of the most influential American political figures of his generation.
00:11:58.840 At just 18 years old, he founded Turning Point USA and grew it into the largest conservative
00:12:04.340 youth organization in the nation.
00:12:06.860 For over a decade, he tirelessly traveled the country, leading a movement to restore respect
00:12:12.740 for our founding principles, reawaken our national identity, and inspire a renewed spirit of religious
00:12:20.560 devotion.
00:12:22.260 He was one of the great debaters and communicators of his time.
00:12:26.220 Despite receiving repeated threats, he remained undeterred and modeled courage, logic, humor, and grace to the next generation.
00:12:37.220 On September 10, 2025, at age 31, Charlie Kirk was assassinated while addressing a group of students.
00:12:45.980 The United States honors him as a martyr for truth and freedom.
00:12:49.700 So, thank you.
00:13:02.540 Thank you.
00:13:32.540 Thank you.
00:14:02.520 Thank you for honoring my husband in such a profound and meaningful way, and thank
00:14:07.940 you for making this event a priority amid the peace process in the Middle East.
00:14:14.820 Thank you.
00:14:15.720 Very grateful.
00:14:17.180 Charlie always admired your commitment to freedom, and that's something that both of
00:14:26.520 you shared, so thank you.
00:14:29.680 Your support of our family and the work that Charlie devoted his life to will be something
00:14:37.880 I cherish forever, so thank you.
00:14:39.980 Thank you.
00:14:40.280 To our gracious First Lady in her office for making this event possible, thank you as
00:14:47.300 well.
00:14:48.420 It's beautiful.
00:14:49.840 To Vice President and the lovely Usha Vance, your friendship has been an unbelievable encouragement.
00:14:58.960 Thank you.
00:14:59.380 And to all our friends and family that are here and watching from all around the world,
00:15:08.620 thank you for loving us.
00:15:09.920 Thank you for praying for us and for believing in what Charlie believed in.
00:15:15.220 And to our Turning Point USA staff and the Charlie Kirk Show staff, we love you more than you
00:15:24.300 could ever know.
00:15:26.780 And to the Turning Point USA chapters that are watching all across America right now, you are
00:15:35.620 the heartbeat of this future and of this movement.
00:15:41.980 Everything that Charlie built, you guys are the legacy holders of that.
00:15:47.620 You are living proof that his mission did not die with him.
00:15:52.020 It lives through you.
00:15:54.700 And Charlie always said the next generation will decide whether freedom endures.
00:15:58.340 And because of you, I know that freedom will endure.
00:16:03.940 It will.
00:16:05.720 And today, we're gathered not only to celebrate Charlie's birthday, but to honor a truth that
00:16:12.760 he gave his entire life to defend, and that's freedom.
00:16:17.480 The very existence of the Presidential Medal of Freedom reminds us that the national interest
00:16:23.680 of the United States has always been freedom.
00:16:26.900 Our founders etched it into the preamble of our Constitution, and those words are not relics
00:16:34.200 on parchment.
00:16:37.000 They are a living covenant.
00:16:39.820 The blessings of liberty are not man's invention.
00:16:43.340 They are God's endowment.
00:16:46.420 Charlie lived for those blessings, not as abstract words, but as sacred promises.
00:16:51.760 He used to love to journal about this topic all the time, and with such a heart postured
00:17:00.500 of gratitude.
00:17:02.760 And he believed that liberty was both a right and a responsibility.
00:17:07.440 And he used to say, freedom is the ability to do what is right without fear.
00:17:13.420 And that's how he lived.
00:17:16.720 He was free from fear.
00:17:20.040 He was free from compromise.
00:17:22.960 Free from anything that could enslave his soul.
00:17:28.720 His name, Charles, literally means free man.
00:17:33.220 And that's exactly who my husband was.
00:17:35.600 He was a free man.
00:17:36.640 And from the time I met him, sitting across from him, being interviewed on politics and
00:17:47.240 philosophy and theology, anything that Charlie loved, any topic he loved, and I just saw the
00:17:56.920 fire in his soul.
00:17:58.220 And there was this divine restlessness within him that came from knowing God placed him on
00:18:05.240 this earth to protect something very, very sacred for all of us.
00:18:11.600 And he never stopped fighting for people to experience freedom.
00:18:15.080 He didn't.
00:18:17.220 Charlie often said that without God, freedom becomes chaos.
00:18:21.220 And he believed liberty could only survive when anchored to truth.
00:18:27.960 And I remember in one of his speeches, he told the audience that the opposite of liberty
00:18:35.780 isn't law.
00:18:39.220 He said it's captivity.
00:18:41.740 And that the freest people in the world are those whose hearts belong to Christ.
00:18:45.860 But what's so powerful is that Charlie had the ability to communicate so brilliantly across
00:18:55.180 all generations.
00:18:57.540 And he reminded us that in a world that tells us freedom is doing whatever you want to do,
00:19:04.360 the real freedom is the power to live freely and to do what is right.
00:19:11.080 And in one of his journal entries, he wrote that he wanted everyone to know that you can't
00:19:15.500 have liberty without moral responsibility.
00:19:20.400 Freedom divorced from faith eventually just destroys itself.
00:19:26.300 And what's so fascinating about all of this is looking back these past 12 years of Turning Point
00:19:33.380 USA and his mission, there's almost this veil of sacredness.
00:19:39.560 Because what I realized is that while he was building an organization, he was also building
00:19:46.860 a movement, one that called people back to God, back to truth, and a movement that was
00:19:55.960 filled with courage.
00:19:59.340 And ironically for a man who impacted millions, Charlie never desired to be the center of attention.
00:20:06.680 He just wasn't.
00:20:08.120 My husband was not a man of extravagance.
00:20:11.460 He loved simple but deeply meaningful things.
00:20:16.560 Truly.
00:20:17.380 He loved his late night walks.
00:20:20.820 He loved buying more books than he could ever read because he felt there was no such thing
00:20:26.480 as a book budget.
00:20:27.680 And he loved being able to read to our kids the same bedtime story on repeat because he
00:20:35.680 knew it was their favorite.
00:20:37.600 But to him, that was special.
00:20:40.520 And he loved to sit in the sun on a Saturday morning with his cup of decaf coffee.
00:20:46.100 And his phone was off because he was honoring the Sabbath.
00:20:48.360 And for him, it was that moment to catch his breath and just be in peace.
00:20:55.740 Because he was unreachable at the moment.
00:20:58.640 And he preferred quiet birthdays.
00:21:02.140 But that never stopped me from telling him.
00:21:04.360 I told him every single year.
00:21:05.480 I said, baby, I love your birthday.
00:21:09.140 I said, because it's the day that God knew the world couldn't go another day without you.
00:21:13.360 And so the rhythm of our usual birthday celebration for him was mint chocolate chip ice cream.
00:21:27.720 He only had it twice a year on his birthday and 4th of July.
00:21:33.200 And then after that, he was back to work as usual.
00:21:39.260 But last year, his one birthday wish was to see the Oregon Ducks play the Ohio State.
00:21:45.560 And they won.
00:21:46.820 Oregon won that night.
00:21:48.180 And it was by far one of the most memorable nights of his birthday experience of his life
00:21:53.380 until today.
00:21:56.120 And so, honestly, President Trump, I have spent seven and a half years trying to find the perfect
00:22:03.280 birthday gift for Charlie.
00:22:04.640 And it's so difficult.
00:22:07.100 And those of you that have spouses or loved ones, you know how difficult it is sometimes
00:22:10.720 to buy a gift for someone that you love.
00:22:13.200 Because he wasn't a materialistic man, so that also did not help.
00:22:16.960 But now I can say with confidence, Mr. President, that you have given him the best birthday gift
00:22:23.020 he could ever have.
00:22:24.660 It's such an honor and the recognition of a life lived for defending freedom.
00:22:41.620 And that's what Charlie fought for until his last breath.
00:22:44.520 And it was written across his chest in those final moments on one of his simple t-shirts
00:22:51.300 that always carried a message.
00:22:54.580 And this one bearing a single word, freedom.
00:22:58.400 That was the banner over his life.
00:23:02.320 And that shirt was a declaration.
00:23:05.240 The same declaration he made in every speech, every campus visit, every time he shared the
00:23:11.300 gospel at a church, every sleepless night that he would spend praying for the youth of
00:23:16.620 this nation and planning for the future of our country and just pressing upon them that
00:23:22.360 when we defend liberty, we defend the soul of our nation.
00:23:28.400 My husband never told anyone what to say.
00:23:31.220 He never did.
00:23:31.940 He never told anyone what to say.
00:23:34.600 He would just encourage them to think.
00:23:37.040 He would encourage them to think outside of the traditional political labels.
00:23:42.860 He would want them to think in a way that was anchored in wisdom and truth.
00:23:49.100 But he would never tell anyone what to say.
00:23:52.360 Charlie wasn't content to simply admire freedom.
00:23:57.340 He wanted to multiply it.
00:23:59.100 He wanted to multiply freedom.
00:24:01.520 He wanted young people to taste it and to understand it and defend it.
00:24:07.300 He wanted them to see that liberty isn't self-indulgence.
00:24:11.100 It's self-governance under God.
00:24:14.760 He wanted them to see that.
00:24:17.080 And every day I'd see him getting ready for work.
00:24:20.320 He'd put on his cross necklace.
00:24:21.740 He'd put his ring on his finger.
00:24:24.720 And the boldness in his demeanor was always fearlessness.
00:24:29.360 He wasn't afraid.
00:24:31.180 He was never afraid.
00:24:33.540 And his daily actions, whether in office or on campus or at a church,
00:24:37.380 it was always without fear.
00:24:40.320 That was his creed.
00:24:41.240 That is how he lived out every single day.
00:24:44.380 He didn't fear being slandered.
00:24:46.520 He did not.
00:24:47.400 He didn't fear losing friends.
00:24:48.620 I can tell you that.
00:24:49.600 He didn't.
00:24:50.980 He didn't care.
00:24:52.780 He stood for truth and stood for freedom.
00:24:55.060 And he did not.
00:24:56.520 Everything else was just noise to him.
00:24:58.080 And it's because his confidence in Christ was absolute.
00:25:03.540 That's why.
00:25:05.960 There was no limit.
00:25:08.080 No limit to what he would have sacrificed to defend freedom for all.
00:25:12.440 And if the moment had come, he probably would have run for president, but not out of ambition.
00:25:18.460 He would only have done it if that was something that he believed that his country needed from a servant's heart standpoint.
00:25:24.760 And Charlie lived only 31 short years.
00:25:29.380 No, he's 32, but on this side of heaven, but he lived.
00:25:37.380 He lived.
00:25:38.380 Every single second he lived.
00:25:41.380 He filled every single day with purpose, and he fought for truth when it was unpopular.
00:25:45.900 And he stood for God when it was costly, but that's what we're called to do.
00:25:52.080 Surprisingly enough, he did pray for his enemies.
00:25:54.760 Which is very hard, but he did.
00:25:57.320 He did.
00:25:59.760 He did.
00:26:05.060 No one else, I mean, I saw him do it.
00:26:07.180 No, he never did it in front of anyone else, but I can attest to that.
00:26:11.220 But he also loved people when it was inconvenient.
00:26:15.020 And he ran his race with endurance, and he kept the faith.
00:26:18.540 And now he wears the crown of a righteous martyr.
00:26:20.660 And for me and for our children, the truth really studies our grief, because heaven gained what earth could no longer contain.
00:26:34.300 A free man made fully free.
00:26:37.760 And to all watching, this is, this is not a ceremony.
00:26:44.860 This is a commissioning.
00:26:46.360 And my message is simple.
00:26:50.980 I want you to be the embodiment of this medal.
00:26:56.080 I do.
00:26:57.360 I want you to free yourself from fear.
00:26:59.460 I want you to stand courageously in the truth.
00:27:04.720 Listen for the still, small voice of God.
00:27:07.300 And remember that while freedom is inherited in this country, each of us must be intentional stewards every single day.
00:27:20.540 God began a mighty work through my husband, and I intend to see it through.
00:27:25.020 And the torch is in our hands now.
00:27:26.820 It's in mine.
00:27:27.360 It's in yours.
00:27:27.860 It's in all of yours.
00:27:28.640 It's in all the students with Turning Point USA.
00:27:30.640 And before I close, I'll share with you that I asked our daughter what she would like to say to daddy for his birthday.
00:27:44.000 Excuse me.
00:27:52.560 She said, happy birthday, daddy.
00:27:57.440 I want to give you a stuffed animal.
00:28:07.840 Oh, man.
00:28:10.880 I want you to eat a cupcake with ice cream.
00:28:14.500 And I want you to go have a birthday surprise.
00:28:18.240 I love you, is what she said.
00:28:21.620 And while our son is precious, he can't yet speak.
00:28:25.920 In classic Kirk family fashion, his actions spoke louder than his words.
00:28:31.860 And his gift to you, Charlie, and myself, for that matter, was deciding to become the man of the house and be fully potty trained at 16 months.
00:28:41.080 But, Charlie, baby, I know that you're celebrating in heaven today, but gosh, I miss you.
00:28:46.980 We miss you.
00:28:47.760 And we love you.
00:28:49.540 And we promise we'll make you proud.
00:28:53.280 And Charlie's life was proof that freedom is not a theory.
00:28:58.120 It's a testimony.
00:29:00.180 He showed us that liberty begins not in the halls of power, but in the man of a heart surrendered to God.
00:29:06.200 And so today, as we honor Charlie with this incredible presidential medal of freedom on his birthday, I stand here with tears and just humbled heart and spirit because his story reminds us all that to live free is the greatest gift.
00:29:29.820 But to die free is the greatest victory.
00:29:37.380 Happy birthday, my Charlie.
00:29:39.940 Happy Freedom Day.
00:29:41.140 God bless you.
00:29:42.360 Thank you.
00:29:43.660 Thank you.
00:29:59.820 Thank you.
00:30:13.600 Thank you.
00:30:19.400 Amen.
00:30:22.540 Amen.
00:30:24.600 Amen.
00:30:25.660 Amen.
00:30:26.580 Amen.
00:30:26.680 Amen.
00:30:26.760 Amen.
00:30:27.000 Amen.
00:30:27.040 Amen.
00:30:27.520 Amen.
00:30:27.620 Amen.
00:30:29.040 Amen.

00:40:16.760 If you're a homeowner, you need to listen to this. In today's AI and cyber world, scammers are stealing home titles with more ease than ever, and your equity is the target.
00:40:29.160 Here's how it works. Criminals forge your signature on one document, use a fake notary stamp, pay small fee with your county, and boom, your home title has been transferred out of your name.
00:40:40.500 Then they take out loans using your equity or even sell your property. You won't even know it's happened until you get a collection or foreclosure notice.
00:40:52.140 So let me ask you, when was the last time you personally checked your home title?
00:40:58.440 If you're like me, the answer is never, and that's exactly what scammers are counting on.

00:41:39.680 What if he had the brightest mind in the War Room delivering critical financial research every month?
00:41:45.680 Steve Bannon here. War Room listeners know Jim Rickards. I love this guy.
00:41:49.960 He's our wise man, a former CIA, Pentagon, and White House advisor with an unmatched grasp of geopolitics and capital markets.
00:41:57.060 Jim predicted Trump's Electoral College victory exactly 312 to 226, down to the actual number itself.
00:42:06.940 Now he's issuing a dire warning about April 11th, a moment that could define Trump's presidency in your financial future.
00:42:14.540 His latest book, Money GPT, exposes how AI is setting the stage for financial chaos, bank runs at lightning speeds, algorithm-driven crashes, and even threats to national security.
00:42:26.020 Right now, War Room members get a free copy of Money GPT when they sign up for Strategic Intelligence.
00:42:32.800 This is Jim's flagship financial newsletter, Strategic Intelligence.
00:42:37.600 I read it. You should read it.

00:42:50.660 Do it today.
00:42:51.400 The President of the United States, the widow, Erica Kirk, and the family, close friends now heading into the Oval Office.
00:43:14.480 The good and great of Washington in the Rose Garden for a simple yet powerful ceremony around the awarding of the Medal of Freedom to Charlie Kirk.
00:43:33.580 President Trump, in great form after his amazing trip to the Middle East and Erica Kirk.
00:43:43.460 I mean, what can you say?
00:43:46.380 Three major appearances.
00:43:48.960 One, the night after Charlie was, I guess two nights after Charlie was assassinated on a Friday night where she talked to the nation for 15 minutes.
00:43:56.420 Then at Charlie's memorial service in Phoenix, Arizona, and now here in the Rose Garden, Washington, D.C.
00:44:06.380 We're going to hold this shot and the music.
00:44:10.660 Charlie's closest friend, she had Don Jr.
00:44:14.020 Many of the people around the White House and the staff and the cabinet that knew Charlie well.
00:44:17.520 Jack Posovic and Brian Glenn.
00:44:29.040 Jack Posovic, a very close friend of his and colleague at Turning Point are in the audience.
00:44:34.780 We're going to try to go to Jack and the team as soon as we can.
00:44:40.640 As they play How Great The Art and Amazing Grace right before that.
00:44:47.520 There's Don Jr.
00:44:51.720 Very, very, very simple, powerful ceremony.
00:44:57.300 Charlie would have loved this.
00:44:58.940 He turned out on a Tuesday afternoon in Washington, D.C., late afternoon with the great and powerful all there.
00:45:20.660 Of course, many Turning Point people accepted for official Washington to turn out very extraordinary.
00:45:25.520 This shows you the esteem that Charlie Kirk is held in.
00:45:30.520 Only to...
00:45:45.520 A few Christian hymns
00:45:56.260 An address by the President of the United States, the widow, speaks, and then the awarding of the ceremony.
00:46:05.900 The awarding of the Presidential Medal, highest civilian award we have in the country.
00:46:09.740 Like I said, very simple and very powerful.
00:46:17.080 Although these things are very planned and scripted at the White House, including the number of people that come and the security arrangements, you could tell the number of chairs they had there.
00:46:26.020 They probably had as many of those people in back.
00:46:29.400 So this was a massive turnout.
00:46:35.040 Done in the Rose Garden, I think.
00:46:37.800 Given the weather, absolutely perfect pick.
00:46:40.300 These are always a little dicey, particularly in October.
00:46:44.120 But particularly yesterday, when the President got back, it was a blustery and rainy day yesterday.
00:46:51.820 But a great pick for whoever in the White House made the decision.
00:46:54.960 I think it was going to be in the East Room, which would have been fantastic, obviously.
00:46:58.860 But to do it out in the Rose Garden, I thought, was added to the simplicity and the power of it.
00:47:04.240 Of course, the President right there is the side door.
00:47:13.260 That door is into the Oval Office with the resolute desk will be right to the left where the President will work.
00:47:22.940 And he's very proud of the changes he has made, including the portraits, which are the gold and what he's put up there is incredibly impressive.
00:47:34.840 There's the President right there outside with Don Jr.
00:47:39.800 The portraits that the President has hand-selected from the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery are really stunning.
00:47:48.360 A great display of Americana and American history and the great presidents we've had.
00:47:59.380 There's the President, almost like the father figure here.
00:48:05.140 Extraordinary.
00:48:05.800 You're going to give me a heads up.
00:48:06.900 We're going to try to get Posobiec.
00:48:08.160 We're going to try to get Brian Glenn.
00:48:11.280 There's Don Jr.
00:48:13.680 A lot of people don't realize, you know, Charlie, I think the first job that he had,
00:48:17.260 or job outside of doing things, you know, what you naturally do as a young person to make an income,
00:48:23.660 was that Breitbart, as a columnist, wrote From the College Perspective.
00:48:30.240 And I almost hate talking about this music.
00:48:34.220 It's so beautiful.
00:48:36.480 And that, quite frankly, some of his writings are what attracted people.
00:48:39.320 They actually said, you've got to start Turning Point USA.
00:48:41.520 In the 16 campaign, we pulled Charlie from Turning Point on a short-term basis.
00:48:49.280 And he was the body man for Don Jr. and for Eric, I think both.
00:48:54.060 As Eric and Don Jr. became, particularly after I took over the campaign,
00:48:58.720 became an integral part of the campaign operation, as Eric talked about today,
00:49:03.620 and some of the things we had to do, like calling delegates and things like that.
00:49:06.500 But Charlie was incredible.
00:49:10.400 And I think that's the first time he had been seen by people around President Trump,
00:49:14.760 or at that time, Candidate Trump.
00:49:16.820 And his energy, his savvy, right, his savvy and his moxie impressed people.
00:49:26.400 Also, his humility and his decency.
00:49:29.160 Just an incredible, incredible guy.
00:49:31.180 Right there, you see, in the shot, we've got Don Jr.
00:49:33.680 The president is right there.
00:49:37.920 For those who know the president, this is very frequently what happens,
00:49:41.000 whether it's on the plane or on the campaign trail or going to conferences
00:49:48.680 or going to things, President Trump will hold court with his own people
00:49:51.480 to talk through what's going on, to talk through events of the day
00:49:56.160 and getting information.
00:49:58.920 He had, he really admired Charlie Kirk for Charlie's knowledge and savvy.
00:50:09.080 But particularly because Charlie had built something at a young age.
00:50:12.200 President Trump's a builder, built an amazing organization.
00:50:17.180 Those initial steps that led him to be president of the United States, ultimately.
00:50:20.600 You heard Eric talk a little bit about it today.
00:50:23.720 We have Brian Glenn.
00:50:24.660 Let's go, we have our own Brian Glenn, I believe still in the Rose Garden.
00:50:29.780 Let's go to Brian Glenn, Real America's Voice.
00:50:31.880 Brian, put us in the room.
00:50:34.040 You're in the Rose Garden.
00:50:34.900 You were there for the ceremony.
00:50:36.840 Very solemn occasion.
00:50:39.060 Tell us what's going on.
00:50:41.660 Yeah, I think President Trump really kind of set it up
00:50:45.040 of what Charlie meant to him and the MAGA movement
00:50:49.140 and the support that Charlie had for President Trump
00:50:51.720 and told him, you know, from the very beginning, I think you're going to win.
00:50:55.300 Almost had more confidence in him winning the election
00:50:58.180 than President Trump had.
00:51:00.520 But really, what another heartfelt message from Erica Kirk,
00:51:05.040 laying out the true patriot
00:51:08.160 and the genuine love that Charlie had for this country.
00:51:14.740 And you heard it today.
00:51:16.720 And, of course, some of the guests were walking by.
00:51:18.400 We just had Tucker Carlson come by and said a few words to us as well.
00:51:23.060 And, of course, Andrew Klovit came by.
00:51:25.580 Really, everyone that's a part of the Turning Point USA.
00:51:30.640 But, you know, this is a moment.
00:51:32.880 And I like, Steve, what Erica Kirk said at the very end.
00:51:37.540 Take this medal and go forward and use it in everything you do.
00:51:43.000 Go in on your faith, your freedom, your love of country
00:51:47.480 and really elevate yourself in terms of the mission
00:51:51.760 of what Charlie Kirk started out to do.
00:51:55.080 And it was to fundamentally change this country
00:51:57.160 and elevate Christianity and love of country and love of God.
00:52:01.380 Steve.
00:52:01.560 It seemed like all of official Washington turned out today, Brian.
00:52:13.820 Pretty impressive on a – it shows you the esteem
00:52:16.660 that people held Charlie Kirk into with everything going on
00:52:19.520 on a Tuesday afternoon.
00:52:21.900 Just a really magnificent turnout.
00:52:24.200 Yeah, I agree.
00:52:27.940 And that's what President Trump did in the very beginning
00:52:30.620 was kind of lay out an attendance of who was here,
00:52:33.640 mainly being like Senator Cruz, Speaker of the House.
00:52:37.940 Now, they're bringing some media.
00:52:39.880 I think they're just exiting down right now,
00:52:42.080 going back out to Pebble Beach.
00:52:44.320 But it was a who's who in politics.
00:52:46.660 And I think the fact that they took time out of all the things
00:52:49.260 that are going on right now to make their way here to the Rose Garden
00:52:52.160 and show respect for Charlie Kirk, not only as a man, as a father,
00:52:56.220 but as a patriot who loved this country
00:52:58.960 and really set out to embrace freedom, secure freedom for all of us.
00:53:04.760 And it's kind of – this ceremony, Steve, it kind of takes us back
00:53:09.880 to hearing all of his podcasts, all of the times he's been on with you.
00:53:15.360 He's been on Rural America's Voice here.
00:53:16.980 It really does make us understand how important he was in this movement
00:53:21.300 and how important I think he will always be remembered in this movement.
00:53:28.100 You know, what I loved about the simplicity and the power of this
00:53:31.560 was actually choosing to have it in the Rose Garden today.
00:53:34.800 President Trump, as you know, Brian, is so proud of this redevelopment of the Rose Garden
00:53:40.640 and wanted it for occasions like this that would be remembered, historical occasions.
00:53:45.720 And Charlie Kirk's awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom is certainly an historical occasion.
00:53:51.680 I was really glad that the president chose the Rose Garden today.
00:53:56.620 Yeah, he did.
00:53:57.640 And we were showing some of the changes here that really mean about Mason.
00:54:01.400 Real quick, let me just show, Steve, if you might have missed it earlier.
00:54:05.460 You know, they did obviously pave this area.
00:54:07.500 Look at how detailed the drains are here in the Rose Garden.
00:54:13.500 It is symbolic.
00:54:14.900 It's got the American flag pretty much etched in there.
00:54:18.520 And that does, I feel like, tie in the Rose Garden because there was some criticism, obviously,
00:54:24.840 from the left that he did the remodel.
00:54:27.560 But it's a beautiful space for tonight.
00:54:29.540 We had showers originally forecasted to happen during this time.
00:54:36.120 But as the rain chances diminished, this event, Steve, moved from the East Room to the Rose Garden.
00:54:41.880 And I think it's very fitting.
00:54:43.120 And as President Trump said, God cleared the forecast today so we could have that event out here.
00:54:48.340 And what a beautiful day it was.
00:54:51.720 Now, that's a personal touch of President Trump.
00:54:54.940 He was very close to Charlie, admired Charlie.
00:54:58.240 But for him to say, hey, look, I know the inside is a more traditional place where you give this,
00:55:03.120 but I want to do it in something that I have really done to the White House
00:55:07.220 to make sure that it's a space that we can have things like this.
00:55:10.760 And to do it today and to choose that, it's great.
00:55:13.320 Yeah, Steve, we've got to move out of here.
00:55:15.920 Yeah, we've got to move out of here, Steve.
00:55:17.380 We can continue this on the other side, but we've been told to exit.
00:55:20.660 Okay, cool.
00:55:21.320 Thank you.
00:55:22.300 Okay.
00:55:23.060 Thank you, Brian.
00:55:25.640 I love Real America's Voice.
00:55:26.940 You're going to get the squeeze out of the lemon right there.
00:55:31.340 The last drop, Brian Glenn.
00:55:33.940 Like I said, a very moving, simple, and powerful.
00:55:37.960 I think Charlie Kirk would have really been impressed by that.
00:55:42.520 The president said a few appropriate remarks about the life of Charlie, the work of Charlie.
00:55:50.280 Tied it in, as President Trump's always going to do, into the events of the day, particularly as it related to Charlie's life and his life's work, right, of culture and politics.
00:56:00.200 Also, then, Erica.
00:56:03.000 I mean, what can you say?
00:56:04.480 Like I said, she's had three essential turns since she became the widow of the assassinated Charlie Kirk.
00:56:12.880 And that was that amazing 15 minutes that she did on that Friday night from Turning Point.
00:56:20.680 And remember, Jack Posobiec told us, Jack Posobiec told us that it was, that it was, the, it was, it was, it was done by, they had an option of doing it taped.
00:56:34.800 And she said, no, we're not going to do it taped.
00:56:37.060 We're going to actually do it live.
00:56:39.100 She did that live.
00:56:40.040 You remember, it was incredibly moving, 15 minutes of it.
00:56:43.560 And, and then at the Charlie's commemoration, his commemoration, where she stood up and I think right before the president, he gave an incredible, incredible eulogy to her slain husband.
00:56:57.600 And then today, with the awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, stands up and I think gives a very memorable, not, not a eulogy, but really a, a talking about his life and related to the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a title that together is pretty extraordinary.
00:57:16.020 And the composure and, dare I say, just basic class that she has comes through.
00:57:23.800 And it's, you can tell that Turning Point is in very, very good hands with, with, with Erica.
00:57:33.480 We've got a few minutes.
00:57:34.600 I have, I have, I've asked Tej Gill to join us.
00:57:38.000 Tej, Charlie Kirk, you've come off hunting today to do this for us.
00:57:43.880 The Charlie Kirk, we're in the Rose Garden with this beautiful and powerful, a couple of, three Christian hymns done with a, with a, a small ensemble.
00:57:57.900 President Trump, a few remarks, very powerful to the point.
00:58:01.400 And of course, Erica Kirk, your thoughts about all of it, sir?
00:58:07.120 Yeah, you know, I think Charlie Kirk was a world changer.
00:58:10.200 What he was doing was incredible.
00:58:11.280 He was changing the viewpoint of our youth, of our young men and women going to college and President Trump, you know, going over and doing this peace deal in the Middle East, going to Egypt and then flying straight back to the Rose Garden to do this Charlie Kirk Memorial.
00:58:26.920 It's incredible.
00:58:27.800 The whole thing is incredible.
00:58:28.880 Charlie Kirk, Trump, and then Erica Trump carrying the torch, running Turning Point USA and Warpath Coffee.
00:58:35.580 We're going to be a sponsor of AmFest in December for Turning Point USA.
00:58:39.460 So I'll see you there, Steve.
00:58:41.800 And I support all of it.
00:58:44.260 And I hope that Turning Point USA and all the good Americans carry the torch for Charlie Kirk.
00:58:52.240 What he was doing was incredible.
00:58:54.480 And, you know, like I've said before, a lot of this woke ideology comes out of the colleges from some of these professors.
00:59:01.160 So we need people like Charlie Kirk to go to the colleges and bring reality to college students.
00:59:09.020 And I'm all in.
00:59:12.460 You know, I just, you know, like I said, it's like Andrew Breitbart, like Trump.
00:59:16.840 You can't replace.
00:59:18.020 There's certain men and women that come along.
00:59:21.260 I think Erica Kirk may be like that.
00:59:22.840 There's certain men and women that come along in certain times that are just not replaceable.
00:59:27.320 You know, you've seen a lot of combat and you've seen a lot of death.
00:59:31.660 Charlie Kirk got today the highest award we can give a civilian, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
00:59:39.100 And it's been given to some of the greatest Americans in the arts and sports and culture, is activist, right, of both, you know, both liberals and progressives and conservatives and right wingers by a variety of presidents since Jack Kennedy.
00:59:54.580 I would actually argue Charlie deserved this almost as a combat decoration.
01:00:00.240 He died in the line of fire.
01:00:02.480 I mean, he was flat out assassinated, right?
01:00:05.360 Flat out assassinated.
01:00:06.540 So we award the highest civilian.
01:00:09.580 But he's in the modern political war.
01:00:13.000 Charlie Kirk's a casualty gave his life for his country.
01:00:15.700 We got about a minute.
01:00:17.040 Taze, you want to give me some comments on that?
01:00:20.500 Yeah, you're absolutely right.
01:00:21.960 I mean, that's like equivalent to like a, you know, like a Silver Star or something like that.
01:00:27.620 Charlie Kirk deserved it.
01:00:29.960 He was killed in combat.
01:00:33.160 You know, we're at war, Steve.
01:00:34.940 We're trying to save America.
01:00:36.460 You know, people like you, you do your show twice a day, Monday through Friday, then on Saturdays.
01:00:41.160 You know, it's incredible the consistency that you bring to it.
01:00:45.140 You know, Trump gave up so much for it.
01:00:47.440 He's been shot.
01:00:48.800 They tried to bankrupt him.
01:00:49.940 They tried to put him in jail for hundreds of years.
01:00:51.960 Like, we are at war trying to save America right now.
01:00:56.220 And Charlie Kirk was on the front lines.
01:00:58.200 And he was killed for having an opinion and bringing the truth to colleges and teaching these college students that it's okay to be pro-America.
01:01:08.360 And it's okay to be a patriot and it's okay to be a proud American.
01:01:11.960 And so we need to keep pushing this overwhelming sense of patriotism to America.
01:01:17.920 And yes, Charlie Kirk was killed on the front lines of this war to take back America.
01:01:23.700 And Trump was almost killed on the front lines to trying to take America.
01:01:28.100 That it's well-deserved.
01:01:32.740 Charlie Kirk deserved more than what he got today.
01:01:37.140 Tej, thank you so much.
01:01:38.240 We'll see you tomorrow.
01:01:40.420 Tej Gill.
01:01:41.780 Warrior.
01:01:43.960 Short commercial break.
