A federal judge in Texas has struck down Texas' attempt to redraw the maps for the 2026 election, and now the Supreme Court will have to decide whether or not to get involved in the case. Plus, we talk about the Muslim Brotherhood, and why we have to win the midterms.
00:00:00.000This is Texas redistricting. This is very much going to be about 2026. We might have Epstein be about 2026, but this as well.
00:00:07.760The state of Texas tried to draw, redraw the maps at five more seats. And now a federal judge has said, no, you can't.
00:00:16.940Three of them, actually. So three and redistricting cases. Oftentimes the law requires that they are held, that they are heard initially by a three judge panel.
00:00:25.320And that's what happened here. And they are saying that the redistricting effort that Texas undertook here was done in a way that wasn't just partisan.
00:00:33.780It was overtly racial. And it's gerrymandering such that the plaintiffs who sued and there were multiple groups of them are entitled to a preliminary injunction that blocks the use of those maps for the 2026 election and requires Texas to go back to their 2021 maps.
00:00:49.520They're saying that having a legislatively drawn map is preferable to courts drawing the map and getting involved in that themselves.
00:00:57.740They recognize time is of the essence. And usually when you have an election right around the corner, a Supreme Court case called Purcell sort of begs that court sort of back off and not get involved.
00:01:08.920And they say here, the evidence of the partisan and racial gerrymandering was so obvious and flagrant that despite that Supreme Court case, cautioning courts not to get involved, they had to override it.
00:01:20.140That's interesting. So it's I think it's December 7th or December 8th that lawmakers have to file for their candidacy, which which means there's only a few weeks.
00:01:30.700Yes. For this court to bring it up to or for Texas to appeal this to the Supreme Court.
00:01:36.340That's right. The Supreme Court would need to weigh in before then. What is the likelihood of that happening?
00:01:41.840I think the likelihood of it happening is high. At least the court may determine and say that they're not going to take it, in which case the court's decision, the lower court's decision today would stay in place.
00:01:54.120But I think it's more likely that they'll use it as an opportunity to say whether or not all of these redistricting attempts that are happening at DOJ's invitation expressly all over the country should happen now or not.
00:02:07.640It's not typical for mid-decade redistricting to happen.
00:02:13.360This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:02:20.820Pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on these people.
00:02:26.040Here's the reason I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people. The people have had a belly full of it.
00:02:32.220I know you don't like hearing that. I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it. It's going to happen.
00:02:37.360And where do people like that go to share the big lie? MAGA Media.
00:02:42.340I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:02:47.780Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:02:51.540If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:02:57.820War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Band.
00:03:01.080It's Tuesday, 18 November, year of our Lord, 2025.
00:03:09.220Okay, here's what we're going to do today.
00:03:10.500I've got Rabbi Pesach Walicki, a good buddy of mine, is going to co-host today.
