00:00:52.880 very clear, this long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement.

00:02:10.140 Fearing for his life, the agent fired shots, hitting the migrant in the leg.

00:07:14.520 So the videos that have been documenting what has been happening across the country are incredibly disturbing.
00:07:20.320 And many of those videos show that federal law enforcement officers, including ICE officers,

00:07:28.760 First, all people on American soil, regardless of their immigration or citizenship status,
00:07:35.480 have a right under the First Amendment to engage in peaceful protest.
00:07:40.740 Second, all people on U.S. soil, regardless of their citizenship status, have the right-to-do process.
00:07:48.340 That right-to-do process may look different based on whether a person is a U.S. citizen
00:07:53.940 or whether they have been in the country for a shorter period of time without documentation.
00:07:58.240 But under no circumstances should the Trump administration be summarily detaining, deporting people
00:08:06.400 because they have engaged in peaceful protests and speech that is disfavored by the federal government,
00:08:13.760 by the Trump administration.
00:08:15.160 And third, all people do have a right to remain silent when they are approached by federal law enforcement officers
00:08:22.700 and state law enforcement officers.
00:08:25.160 You have a right against self-incrimination.
00:08:27.960 So you don't need to say what country you're from, where you were born.
00:08:31.700 So tonight, let me say once again to Donald Trump and Kristi Noem, end at this occupation.

00:17:05.800 I remember you and I spoke in the spring when the National Guard was deployed to Los Angeles.
00:17:09.600 The White House loved the images of the president being tough on crime, law and order, all the like.
00:17:14.860 And there were some who kind of privately hoped, well, maybe there'll be a confrontation that would further our political aim.

00:17:21.680 But now, if the Insurrection Act, just to remind viewers, this would, if the president were to do it,
00:17:26.600 and it would allow him to deploy U.S. military forces, including the Federalized National Guard and active duty military troops to Minneapolis.

00:17:42.720 And polls suggest Americans don't love how this is going already for the president.
