On this episode of The War Room, host Stephen K.K.Vann is joined by senior White House correspondent for The Daily Caller, Peter Bergen, to discuss the latest on the Iran crisis, including the White House response to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's latest pronouncement that the war in the Middle East is over.
00:00:29.000I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:00:34.640Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:00:38.420If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:00:44.760War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Vann.
00:00:47.980saturday 14 march in the year of our lord 2026 uh we've got a war in the middle east that's
00:01:00.200expanding must be blunt about that we've got um a war at home against this islamic invasion we're
00:01:07.220gonna go to texas here in a moment um and i want to go to back to uh one of the things is how is
00:01:13.960this reported how do you get the information one of the young reporters considered one of the best
00:01:18.780young reporters she's the head white house correspondent for the daily caller also has had
00:01:23.420been in the oval office with the president with a uh with a one-on-one reagan uh you've walked
00:01:29.400through how difficult it is to juggle all these things between the white house and the pentagon
00:01:33.640what is your sense of where this is going from a reporter's point of view what's your sense of how
00:01:40.600this is unfolding because last night and the president's been pretty up front i mean he said
00:01:46.160look i could declare victory now but i'm a i'm a pound these guys and every night's going to be a
00:01:49.960harder pounding and i think pete said the same thing the other day and last night was another
00:01:54.400horrific pounding of uh of the uh of the iranian regime and look they punched back they're they're
00:02:00.340kind of obviously the command and control has been seriously degraded if not destroyed because
00:02:05.400are kind of shooting out onesies twosies uh except these drones but what's your sense
00:02:10.600as you sit here today of how this thing's developing well we have two estimates one is
00:02:17.260that this war could wrap up very shortly that came from the president and then the president
00:02:21.200has also said it could be four to six weeks um you know based off of just conversations i've had
00:02:26.360with sources and you know talking to people and just being in these briefings i feel like it's
00:02:32.460likely that it goes to those four to six weeks. You know, does this, like your previous guest
00:02:38.280talked about, does this require boots on the ground or does it require arming Iranian citizens?
00:02:43.040I think that's a really interesting proposition. One thing I do want to draw your attention to,
00:02:48.880Steve, I asked this in one of the press briefings, what is the post-war plan? I think we can talk a
00:02:55.180lot about the war expanding and how long it's going to go, but I think that's the next big
00:02:58.940topic that people need to start talking about and that we want to start reporting on. Is the United
00:03:03.960States going to be involved in the aftermath or are they going to leave it to the Iranian people?
00:03:08.180I posed this to Secretary Hegseth and he told me that the aftermath will be in the U.S. interests.
00:03:14.100You know, you can do with that answer what you will. I think that is a roundabout way of saying
00:03:19.540the United States will be involved in the aftermath of the Iranian conflict. And so
00:03:24.560that's the thing that i think uh americans need to start to focus on because even if this war does
00:03:30.340wrap up quickly um if the united states chooses to stick around in iran and help with the aftermath
00:03:37.800um that makes things a little bit longer it makes it a little bit more complicated
00:03:42.420the um scott last question scott besson's in parish right now negotiating the trade deal and
00:03:49.960parts of the trade deal but also the state visit of the president from the washington press corps
00:03:55.020perspective from your your perch in the white house do you anticipate i know there's scott's
00:04:01.480trying to get some of the preliminary work done do you actually see that taking place if if you
00:04:05.340say hey my feeling is right now this could be four to six weeks uh the the visit which i thought was
00:04:11.540april 21st my understanding now it may be actually be closer to the start of april um do you think
00:04:17.940that state visit as you see it today that state visit takes place oh that's so hard uh the one
00:04:24.700thing i've learned is that president trump he almost never surprises me um i feel like that
00:04:31.660they're going to do everything they can to make it happen um because you know what happens if they
00:04:36.560cancel it it becomes i think a wider story and so um it's so hard to say because things are ever
00:04:43.280changing and every day feels like a new day um full of different surprises but i if i had to put
00:04:49.560my money on it i'd say it happens why not reagan how do people get to your sub stack how do they
00:04:56.460get to your reporting over the daily caller how do they get to you on social media best place to
00:05:01.360reach me where i'm the most active is on x reagan reese underscore i'm on instagram making videos as
00:05:07.660well same handle uh and then on sub stack the daily caller we're doing a lot of analysis there
00:05:13.040as well uh so daily call our website and then our sub stack is uh state of the day that's our
00:05:19.400our flagship over there fantastic great reporting let's everybody pile in there and get up to date
00:05:27.520with reagan reese thank you man appreciate you got jenny beth martin is going to join us here
00:05:32.880in a moment uh jenny beth uh tea party patriots jenny beth one of the founders of the entire
00:05:37.320movements get some amazing polling on the save america act but before we do that uh julie
00:05:43.240pickering we've had you we've had brandon hall we've had others as we've spent so much time in
00:05:48.980texas and focus on texas we got you know all this talk about war and there's a glamour republic what
00:05:54.440happened i saw a tweet of yours last night it kind of shocked me because i didn't think you got the
00:05:59.000i didn't think got the broader coverage that deserves walk us through this tweet what exactly
00:06:04.120happened. You're on the State Board of Education in the state of Texas. What happened yesterday?
00:06:10.500Yes. So, Steve, you know, under the Biden regime, Texas had a completely open border.
00:06:16.020So we do not know exactly who is in our state right now and, you know, what they're up to or
00:06:22.820who's here. Thank God Governor Abbott has activated the Joint Terrorism Task Force and has activated
00:06:28.500our elite police force, the Texas Rangers and DPS to start looking into possible terrorist sales or
00:06:35.120possible terrorists inside the great state of Texas. But under the Biden regime, Texas had an
00:06:39.120open border for four years. So people really need to pay attention to their surroundings and what's
00:06:43.860going on around their families when they're just out and about living their daily life. Because
00:06:48.640we saw this happen in a decline elementary school, which is a suburb of Houston,
00:06:54.480where a man came in through a door that someone had kind of left open or propped open, but a man
00:07:02.640came in through a door into the elementary school and he was in full tactical gear. He was armed
00:07:10.420and he gained access into the school where our teachers and our children were during the school
00:07:16.520day. And thank God that one of the employees of the school asked him for some ID. It's my
00:07:22.640understanding she actually thought he was part of a SWAT team or a policeman or you know some of
00:07:27.200that nature and so she asked him for his ID and whenever she asked him for his ID you know it
00:07:33.660scared him what have you or whatever happened and he fled but he didn't get away they uh they caught
00:07:39.100him he's been arrested his name is Muhi Muhammad Najam N-A-J-M and so uh Mr. Muhi Muhammad Najam
00:07:47.860now went into our school and you know this is a terrorist act the the the definition of a terrorist
00:07:54.740act is someone who's striking terror in the hearts of people well these people that live in this in
00:07:59.640this community in this suburb of houston now had an armed man come into their school campus you know
00:08:07.620god knows what he was going to do and thank god i can tell you right now thank god for the people
00:08:12.740of texas and the people around america they're praying every day for the safety and security
00:08:16.620for our children, for the teachers, the parents, the grandparents that are praying for our children's
00:08:21.120safety. Because I do believe this was God's divine hand of intervention. This man had already gained
00:08:26.040access to this school. This man was already inside the school. So I just thank the Lord
00:08:30.740for the divine hand of providence that these children and these teachers are safe. And this
00:08:34.220man fled whenever he was confronted. But it still, it happened. And so we need families. We need
00:08:41.380parents. When you're out and about, we need you to be vigilant until we can track down all these
00:08:45.540people that intend to strike terror in the hearts of texans and these people that intend to call
00:08:49.980harm in our great state you you kind of shocked our audience when you were on yeah hang on you
00:08:56.220shocked our audience when you were on the last earlier this week by talking about um the care
00:09:03.620a organization designated as a terrorist organization by the governor of texas
00:09:08.420by the governor of uh the governor of florida by the president of the united states uh excuse
00:09:14.680that's muslim brother he designated but the care in florida and in uh in texas and it's already
00:09:20.120been designated a terrorist co-conspirator by the united arab emirates which is our strongest
00:09:25.460military ally in the gulf uh when are people going to wake up that and when are texas authorities
00:09:31.340going to start moving that you've got to start putting these people on notice and if people
00:09:36.400got to be bounced out of here they got to be bounced out of here we can't depend upon uh
00:09:41.800really divine providence stepping in here and having some alert school guard or some, uh, as
00:09:46.820a teacher or school administrator, even a young person given somebody a heads up. I mean, we
00:09:51.940avoided a potential massive disaster yesterday. Uh, and it's, it, it, it, it's, it's, I'm not
00:09:57.900saying it's luck, but it was, uh, you know, it wasn't totally by design that people, the school
00:10:04.240children in Texas and the citizens of Texas and the parents of Texas should not even have this as
00:10:10.060a possibility. So when do you think that the authorities down there are going to get serious
00:10:14.540about this problem, man? I absolutely agree with you, Steve. When a mom or a dad drops their child
00:10:20.440off, they're a little, all right, these are small children. This is elementary. This is five-year-olds
00:10:24.120to 10-year-olds. When they drop their child off at school in the morning, the last thing that should
00:10:29.520be on their mind is, is a terrorist going to come, an armed terrorist going to come into my child's
00:10:34.020school today and potentially do great harm to my children or to the teachers of my children?
00:10:39.220That should be the absolute last thing on a parent's mind.
00:10:43.300And so I am vice chair of the committee on school initiatives for the state of Texas.
00:10:49.000And school safety and security actually reports to my state committee.
00:10:52.760And so on April the 9th, we're going to have a committee meeting in Austin about this because I want answers.
00:10:58.660I want to know how did a terrorist who was going to potentially harm children or murder children, how did they gain access to that campus, number one?
00:11:07.180Number two, how was this not on anyone's radar? How has this man been in the state of Texas for several years now and no one was tracking his movement? No one was looking into, you know, what was he planning? So, yes, I have a lot of questions about this. And I'll ask these questions publicly on April 9th in Austin because we do need to get serious about this.
00:11:25.700You know, we saw we saw in Austin, Texas, you know, three Texans being murdered on Sixth Street just a few weeks ago.
00:11:34.260So we're seeing terrorism actually happen in my great state.
00:11:37.060And, yes, we need to get serious about this.
00:11:38.780We need to get serious about tracking these people down, you know, locking them up, getting them out of our country.
00:11:43.140Whatever needs to happen to keep the citizens of this great state safe, to keep families safe and to keep children safe.
00:11:49.380That should be our number one priority is safety.
00:11:51.440i i i would actually say we shouldn't put the burden of tracking these people down people
00:11:56.200who got to track them we don't have to track them get them the hell out of here we don't have the
00:11:58.940money the opportunity costs the money to do that because of who they are get out remigration out
00:12:05.040of here real quickly you mentioned that before there were 91 people came to testify and only two
00:12:10.720came to bring up issues with this islamic invasion 89 were in supportive care you said you were going
00:12:18.260to have another hearing and you really need an outpouring? Have you picked a time yet
00:12:23.600when you're going to have that hearing so people can focus on it if they're so interested they
00:12:27.560can volunteer and come in and give witness? Yes, Steve. And actually, let me explain the
00:12:32.900importance of this. As an elected official, there's kind of a scale on the magnitude of
00:12:37.140someone's outreach and someone's voice, okay? If someone emails us, if someone takes the time to
00:12:42.300email us, that generally for an elected official represents a certain amount of the population.
00:12:46.780If someone is taking the time to call you or call your office, then that kind of equates to also how how much your your constituents or your part of the state really cares about an issue.
00:12:57.640And I'm telling you, I had a clear mandate from my constituents in the primaries, March 6th, in the last primary just a week ago.
00:13:07.180The almost 343,000, almost 20% of the entire vote of the great state of Texas were my constituents saying ban Sharia law in Texas.
00:13:25.140When someone actually takes time out of their day, takes their ID to the polling location, it takes time away from their job or their family or whatever they're doing during the day to go and make their voice heard in person through their vote.
00:13:38.240That is a very loud message and that is a very clear message.
00:13:42.260And that is also the very loud and clear message that we need April 7th or April 8th at the Texas State Board of Education in Austin.
00:13:49.900We need people to show up in person to make their voice heard that they do not want this radical Islamic Sharia indoctrination that is being advanced and being requested by a foreign terrorist organization, right?
00:14:04.540This isn't just moms showing up and requesting this.
00:14:07.360This is a foreign terrorist organization showing up before the State Board of Education to say what they want taught and what they don't want taught in all of our Texas public schools.
00:14:17.980So we need patriot voices there. The meeting will be April 7th or April 8th. I don't have an exact date yet. I'll know when the chairman releases our official agenda. But we need our patriots to show up and say no to this, that we want truth taught, that we want real American history and real Texas history taught, and not this radical rewrite that the Alamo was designed and built to honor Islam. That's just one of the most egregious things we're requesting.
00:14:43.620Julie, hang on for a second. I'm going to hold you through the break so we can give all your coordinates so people can get in touch with you.
00:14:50.200Short commercial break. Jenny Beth Martin on the other side.
00:15:00.460Okay, can we talk about what's really happening right now?
00:15:03.340New data shows financial stress is at an all-time high.
00:15:06.700Millions of Americans are at a breaking point. Debt maxed out, no extra money, no room to breathe.
00:15:12.520And this isn't just lower-income households anymore.
00:15:16.340Middle-class families are hitting their limits, too.
00:22:19.860Of course, 84% of Americans still want only Americans voting in American elections.
00:22:26.560But here are some things that are interesting from our polling.
00:22:28.92065% of Americans want to pass the Save America Act, and it crosses almost every single demographic line except for the people who don't like Trump or are Democrats.
00:22:42.940but even with those people, 34% to 38% do want this bill to pass. 59% say they prefer for the
00:22:52.500Senate to bring the bill to the floor and fight to make a real effort to pass it, not just to hold
00:22:58.660a vote and say that they tried. And I think that's going to be really important for us to remind the
00:23:03.820senators of this next week. 67% say they want a photo ID and they think, let me rephrase that,
00:23:12.200they say that requiring a photo ID is a reasonable requirement that the vast majority of Americans
00:23:18.540can meet. That includes 50 percent of Democrats, 50 percent of people who watch left-leaning cable
00:23:24.640news, 64 percent of African Americans, and 84 percent of Hispanic people. 65 percent agree that
00:23:33.620states would agree with requiring states to run their voter rolls against DHS to ensure only
00:23:40.600American citizens are registered to vote. Steve, that's another thing that this bill does is tell
00:23:47.700states they've got to send their records to DHS to clean up so we can flag potential people who
00:23:53.780may not be citizens. So it'll have to be research. And if they are a citizen, they can still prove
00:23:58.820they are and be registered to vote. But it's flagging for potential issues. 77% think that
00:24:05.080we should have proof of citizenship to register to vote. 75% think requiring a photo ID is a good
00:24:11.920idea. And then the Democrats like to say, oh, this is going to be too hard for people. 95%
00:24:18.280of Americans have a photo ID. And I would bet there are a few people who said they don't who
00:24:23.780just have Trump derangement syndrome in there. So we have the vast majority of Americans on our side
00:24:30.520with this issue and this bill. What we need to do is to make sure we are calling senators
00:24:36.020all week long. Thune has said he's going to bring it to the floor for a robust debate.
00:24:41.800Senator Mike Lee has said that his office and Thune's office are working together on this.
00:24:47.880And so that is a good sign. It means we don't need to just be beating up on Thune
00:24:52.940with our voices, not physically, of course. But what we can be doing is calling the Republican
00:24:59.180senators and saying the American people are with you, they want this bill to pass, and they want
00:25:05.020you to make a real effort to pass it. We don't want a show vote. And make sure that they understand
00:25:10.860that the American people are with them and we want this bill to pass.
00:25:16.660Real quickly, how do we avoid it just being optics and a show vote? I mean, we are hopefully
00:25:23.460going to get a debate, like President Trump called them out of the State of the Union,
00:25:26.360where the Democrats are trying to defend illegal aliens voting.
00:36:59.760it's the incredible thing is that Rob Schneider actually did stand up about
00:37:03.000this forced organ harvesting, it kind of blew my mind. And I knew that he wanted to educate people
00:37:07.260around this. So that's why he's on board behind this issue, lending his name behind it. We're
00:37:11.780going to do kind of all the basic information, but also a little bit of dark humor, which we're
00:37:16.180kind of in the process of figuring out now. But so the event is on Monday at Trump Kennedy Center.
00:37:22.900Okay, 6pm for the main event. I think there might be a still a few VIP tickets left for the 730.
00:37:29.320That's kind of a meet and greet afterwards. But basically, if they've upgraded us to the concert hall, it's kind of unbelievable. We were in a smaller theater. So we actually have 2000 seats available. So the door is open for anyone who would be interested. And quite frankly, the most important thing about this whole issue, in a sense, okay, it is that there's this horrible next level murder for organs industry that's happening in communist China.
00:37:54.740But really, it's that we haven't understood the Chinese Communist Party. And actually, this issue is the lens through which we can understand them, even for the majority of our policymakers. We've gotten a lot better in the last while. I think what President Trump is doing recently is kind of right on the money. But I still think we don't fully grasp the extent to which this regime will go to subvert America.
00:38:19.300no that's what you know besant is in negotiating right now in paris to set up this state visit
00:38:27.440you're one of the leading experts on the chinese communist party and not just how monstrous they
00:38:32.240are but how that's so focused they are on destroying america well look they've destroyed
00:38:36.540their own people they've killed what a quarter of a billion chinese uh you know laobai jing
00:38:41.900uh how how do they i don't understand in venezuela in iran how she and this is why i'm so nervous
00:38:50.980about this because something's up his sleeve how does she have a state visit with trump in early
00:38:55.940april a couple weeks from now i mean trump shows up like a conquering hero doesn't he am i missing
00:39:01.420it or there's there's got to be something they're going to pull on this thing that makes me very
00:39:07.420very nervous about this state visit because president trump's taking out their two biggest
00:39:12.060energy providers venezuela and now and although there are ships coming through hormuz and i'm on
00:39:18.300this i don't know why we're not seizing them it's not it's a trickle compared to what they got so
00:39:23.380how does she given that trump's running the tables on him how does he have trump show for a state
00:39:29.760visit when trump's like i said like a conquering hero sir it's i i'm with you actually on this i
00:39:37.040I am actually quite nervous about this because, you know, as you correctly said, I mean, a third of very cheap oil coming from Venezuela and China through these shadow fleets and so forth is basically, you know, not available to the Chinese Communist Party at the moment.
00:39:52.420That's a massive amount. They're so dependent on foreign oil. So that's one piece.
00:39:56.980You know, another piece is, you know, China's military hardware has been shown to be, you know, basically the paper tiger.
00:40:03.820right? It looked really nice on paper in these military parades, but actually it turns out it
00:40:08.680just doesn't work in all sorts of places. So that's the big humiliation. You know, there's
00:40:12.600this huge kind of breakdown in the Chinese military where she has fired almost everybody
00:40:18.100there. There's only two guys left and he's one of them on the Central Military Commission
00:40:21.460and none of them have war fighting experience. And also it's just this thing, right? Like
00:40:26.640President Trump understands, this is the part that's really important, that the only way to
00:40:31.080deal with the Chinese Communist Party is with leverage. And it looks to me like he's building
00:40:36.040a whole range of leverage, right? The tariffs, the Chinese economy is kind of a one trick pony
00:40:40.360right now. Export, export, they have to export. Otherwise, things are really going down, which
00:40:44.920they are anyway. So he's got the tariffs. And actually, there's this, you know, the Chinese
00:40:49.720regime is reacting to his action on, I believe, 16 countries of which China is one of them
00:40:55.360around trade. So that's another new piece of leverage that he's building out. And he should
00:40:59.560of demonstrated also, you know, this is kind of this horse his head in the bed diplomacy. By the
00:41:05.280way, this is all the while, you know, Secretary Besant is saying there's these great mutual ties
00:41:09.240and mutual respect and so forth. And that's, and that's actually great, right, on the surface,
00:41:13.420but he's coming with, you know, this basically two decapitation strikes on regimes. The one thing
00:41:18.980I'm worried about, okay, is that the Chinese Communist Party has long instrumentalized Iran,
00:41:24.240it instrumentalizes everything, including human bodies, as is the case, I write about, of course,
00:41:28.460and killed order, that it also instrumentalizes its so-called allies.
00:41:32.480Everyone's kind of watching and seeing that China is really not coming to Iran's aid in
00:43:24.100What a great guy. One of the good ones. Really good guy. Smart. Tough.
00:43:29.380That's where our movement's based on people like that. Short break.
00:43:38.820Fellow patriots, the Federal Reserve has betrayed America for over a century, printing fiat, inflating away your savings, serving globalist masters.
00:43:48.900But President Trump is ending it. President Trump is wielding a 112-year-old law to reclaim control over the rogue Federal Reserve. He's replacing Jerome Powell, slashing rates and igniting America's re-industrialization.
00:44:04.980This isn't theory. Government backed industry plus low rates unleashes super cycles.
00:44:12.040History repeats. Gold's already exploding. Miners are up 400 percent in the last year.
00:44:18.560What Rickards is calling Trump's gift is wealth for American patriots, not global handouts.
00:44:26.140Now it's America's turn. Gold to twenty seven thousand in the coming years.

00:49:15.020design the whole building now so it's more efficient you'll go from the making of the

00:49:44.120But yes, I would put us up against not only building a factory and putting stuff, I'd put my employees up against anyone for efficiency and for dedication.
00:49:55.940They're all working here on a Saturday, hundreds of them in the other building in here trying to get everybody moved, everything moved before this blizzard.
00:50:04.120And then we've got to be, we'll be up and running on Monday and Tuesday to be every department up and running.
00:50:11.020The other day I was here, all this was empty.
00:50:22.300But I think this, we'll get a lie, but I think it puts the lie that, oh, they're going into a smaller factory because it's going into business.
