00:02:17.760 Well, President Trump was brilliant to hold this midterm convention, the first ever,

00:02:23.820 because going into this convention, there was a lack of enthusiasm on the right. And that is

00:02:30.340 pretty normal. When you have a president in office, the president's party gets fat, happy,

00:02:36.160 complacent, disappointed because the president didn't deliver what they thought the president

00:02:41.160 should deliver, and the party out of power is ready to climb over broken glass to vote in that

00:02:49.400 off-year election. And that's, you know, historically what happens. And the same

00:02:55.880 could happen this year, and I thought it was going to happen this year until I came to this

00:03:00.260 convention. Going into this convention, I saw less excitement that I've seen in prior conventions,

00:03:07.280 but I think President Trump did a fantastic job with this convention of closing the deal,

00:03:12.940 doing what he needed to do, which is to fire up his base, the MAGA base, to get out and vote in

00:03:17.740 this election. And he did this by talking about what President Trump has done for the last nearly

00:03:23.840 two years in his second term in office by securing our border, expelling illegal aliens,

00:03:30.400 bringing down crime, restoring our economy and getting America back on track. And he talked

00:03:37.760 about what he wants to continue to do as the president for the next two years, why he needs

00:03:44.120 a Republican-controlled House and Senate. And then he talked about the contrast between today's

00:03:50.900 Democrats and President Trump and Republicans' vision for America. Team America with the

00:03:57.900 Republicans and Team Mohammed with the Democrats. We're talking about Democrats who are radical

00:04:04.740 Marxists, radical communists, radical Islamists, and they do not love America and want to make

00:04:12.160 America better. They hate America and want to destroy us. If Democrats take back power,

00:04:18.180 They're going to defund ICE. They're going to open our border. They're going to mass import tens of millions of illegals again to replace American workers, to replace American values, to replace American voters.

00:08:47.580 The university is canceling classes and closing normal campus operations for the day to give students, faculty, and staff some time for reflection, service, and connection.

00:08:57.620 But can you guess what some students plan to do today?

00:09:00.480 Well, groups are planning to protest around the event tonight.

00:09:04.020 The university has said peaceful protests are allowed, free speech is protected.

00:09:08.180 But, of course, safety is going to be the number one priority today.

00:09:14.060 There will also be heavy security checks going inside the venue today as well.

00:09:18.200 But let's not forget what this is all about.

00:09:20.200 It's about honoring and remembering Charlie's faith, family, and the movement he brought to campuses across the country.

00:09:26.540 It's just really sad to see how divided we are, especially on a day that should be about coming together, grieving, remembering, and honoring Charlie Kirk's life, his faith, his family, and the legacy he left behind.

00:09:39.620 And one year later, you would hope this could be a moment for Americans to put politics aside and simply remember a life was taken too far.
