00:00:20.000
I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that,
00:00:24.000
And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
00:00:29.000
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:00:34.680
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:00:38.440
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:01:01.100
Hardenwell here at the helm on Steve Bannon's Warham.
00:01:04.260
Start the show straight away now with one of the great Warham favourites of our Friday evening show, Ryan Bridge.
00:01:12.700
You are, I think, one of the great English patriots on the scene right now.
00:01:18.340
And whenever we get you on the show, our social media always, always lights up.
00:01:26.500
You have been a naughty boy since you've last been on the show.
00:01:30.560
Let's show the footage of you getting arrested by the British police.
00:01:42.700
It never seems and awful again you can you see me mate.
00:02:05.340
We can't please enjoy the games, come and see me, do you?
00:02:18.000
Why are you being treated like the UK's public enemy number one?
00:02:25.040
I think, Ben, this is an exclusive for the War Room.
00:02:27.320
And I think I'm just going to say it how it is and tell everybody,
00:02:35.340
how that i am trying to be silenced so um yeah i mean looking at that you'd think i would i had um
00:02:41.840
i was actually running criminal gangs bringing people into the country that's what you'd think
00:02:45.800
i mean the way they've taken me away it's absolutely horrific so this is what happened
00:02:50.720
um obviously it was the utk march in london it was a massive event for us at raise the colors
00:02:55.580
all the different members from raise the colors all over the country were attending the event we
00:03:00.440
all had a muster point which was at London Euston station which is a main station in our capital
00:03:06.920
and we had that at 10 o'clock so I've been putting that out there online for weeks and weeks and
00:03:13.180
weeks we had it all planned that that's what we were doing that's where we're going to be and I've
00:03:16.000
done that so the authorities know where we are where we're going to be I obviously have a camera
00:03:20.160
crew and I'm live throughout the day anyway so they knew where I was coming from which was another
00:03:24.880
city Birmingham um and these these metropolitan police officers these police officers from
00:03:31.540
I think Bedford, Derby, Manchester obviously London, Birmingham they decided to do this mass
00:03:38.740
arrest at the station in front of the world's media and um and there we have it and I think
00:03:45.640
it's to silence the majority it's to silence the public it's to silence my close followers
00:03:51.440
and if you take the um the person from the sort of the top let's maybe say i believe that that's
00:03:56.500
what they're trying to do so we won't be silenced and we won't stop and i'll tell you what happened
00:04:01.280
and the reasons for that so for let's just wheel back just one moment you actually think this is
00:04:07.740
an intimidation tactics on behalf of the uk police to publicly arrest you with a whole
00:04:16.660
squadron of police in order to frighten off the british public from who might want to support you
00:04:22.860
you might want to come out from doing so yeah i mean you've said squadron of police and it's them
00:04:28.480
that want to scare scare us i don't think it's them at all i think it's the government i think
00:04:32.880
it's the uk government this is the labour government the liberal left agenda of our
00:04:39.760
government that want to stop me from voicing that i don't believe that you should be victimized or
00:04:45.900
called racist fascist nazi all the rest of it but loving the flag of your country and loving your
00:04:50.720
country i believe that you should be legal and lawful in our beautiful country and i don't
00:04:57.000
believe that people should be coming to our country for the fruits of our our beautiful nation
1.00
00:05:01.740
um on small boat dinghies from third world countries and i don't think that that should
0.76
00:05:07.020
happen and i think they're trying to silence me and i think they chose that day and that event
00:05:11.020
to do it and they made up some let's call it a mickey mouse charge of grievous bodily harm section
00:05:17.040
18 assault um and it follows on because then i get uh you know i've had seven bail conditions
00:05:24.980
against that for me to be released the counter-terrorism police escorted me across london
00:05:30.800
at high speed like i was a let's say i don't know some kind of jihadist terrorist um and the
00:05:37.600
terrorism police then put me in an old Victorian style jail cell um brick walls no toilet I had to
00:05:44.460
I had to press a buzzer and to wash my hands I had to get escorted and had to
00:05:48.560
you know that you know it was it was it wasn't a good night for us at all and I was absolutely
00:05:53.400
devastated we had families all people that follow raise the colours are family orientated my family
00:05:58.980
was there my wife was there and she had to see the ordeal of me getting dragged and ripped about
00:06:04.900
isn't that abuse don't the police need to justify when they arrest someone using anti-terrorist
00:06:10.340
legislation to demonstrate that there is an anti-terrorist dynamic to that yeah i believe so
00:06:17.800
i mean i've got my legal team looking at this but this is a one of it's one of three things that
00:06:23.220
we're looking at so first and foremost we're looking to get the the national ban of france
00:06:29.080
that i have been banned from the whole of france so i was documenting in france the illegal invasion
00:06:34.420
which is happening in the channel in the uk borders now we are being invaded by by men
00:06:42.280
on small boat dinghies as we speak we are being invaded um and i was exposing that and i would
00:06:48.380
be in france this morning and i would have been there exposing it and showing the world that we
00:06:52.260
can stop it and that our government are not stopping this and they're choosing not to stop
00:06:55.640
it and they're actually um escorting these people in like a taxi service um for god knows what
00:07:03.540
reason so i'm banned from france so my legal team are trying to help me with that the second thing
00:07:08.500
that they're trying to help me on is that i'm banned from oxfordshire which is a a lovely part
00:07:12.860
of the uk as you well know and i'm banned from oxfordshire because of the lady that put herself
00:07:17.980
under the wheels of our vehicle that was erecting the flags the cherry picker vehicle and she said
00:07:23.640
you're not putting no more flags up and i said yes we are and she lay under there and done a
00:07:27.100
protest and when i tried to move her out i'm now arrested on that so we've got three criminal
00:07:32.840
cases in front of me i've got you know there's paperwork with and we're trying to fight this
00:07:37.780
where my work isn't sat in an office fighting this with the legal team my work should be with
00:07:42.600
exposing the the left agenda which is which is unfortunately which our country is getting so
00:07:48.380
we've now got me preventing to sleep i have to sleep and live an abode at a certain address
00:07:54.480
which i can't name which is obviously my own address i'm not allowed to drive or be a passenger
00:07:58.860
in a cherry picker fitted or mounted uh pavements to erect flags i'm not allowed to speak to any
00:08:05.440
co-defendants speak to any victims i'm not allowed to go to the ramada hotel at penn's lane which is
00:08:11.400
a place which is close to my heart it's the local hotel which has got i think it's got 375 men um
00:08:19.240
of fighting age from third world countries living in there having three square meals a day um massage
00:08:24.520
seats they've got in there now table tennis ping pong gymnasiums um and they've got you know they've
1.00
00:08:31.160
got all of all all of that so i am literally banned from there i'm banned from going to king
00:08:37.540
standing which is a very patriotic area in birmingham and i'm banned from going to search
00:08:42.480
of the high street and they've provided me with maps for all all of that so it's quite difficult
00:08:59.560
but I actually broke the law on Saturday when we went to UTK.
00:09:06.040
And the reason I broke the law is because I travelled
00:09:08.820
from Birmingham New Street and that train actually bullets
00:09:13.360
So I thought maybe I'm getting arrested for that.
00:09:15.280
But then I found out they've got this bogus charge
00:09:17.520
that when the police finally interviewed me 12 hours later
00:09:21.640
after being put in those cells and missing the whole day,
00:09:25.240
it shone that the police then answered their own question,
00:09:34.120
And then they showed me a picture on my live video
00:09:36.700
at the time of when the alleged Section 18 wounding has happened
00:09:46.080
so their own evidence proved my innocence so i just just i'm completely devastated the way
00:09:53.420
the country's treating me and i'm devastated how they're treating people breaking into our
00:09:57.540
country from the third world uh because as you point out whenever you come on the show
0.97
00:10:03.400
the police aren't arresting the invaders in the way that they're arresting you as you say they're
00:10:10.340
taxing them to hotels and giving them three square meals a day with massage sheets you however are
00:10:17.420
being dragged off like a criminal what's the um just before i give a quick shout out to our sponsors
00:10:22.900
today what's the um the legal process now for getting these charges all the allegations yeah
00:10:32.640
they're allegations at the moment so they can only be charges if the crown prosecution service see
00:10:38.020
them that are being charged so when the police present their evidence when i've been arrested
00:10:42.960
the crown prosecution service say bail the guys for three months and give him bail conditions
00:10:48.260
and it's the conditions that are killing us the conditions are stopping me to travel
00:10:52.040
the conditions are stopping me to leave my premises the conditions are stopping me to go
00:10:56.420
to where i've got work addresses so we're fighting this legal battle um and you know it's it's
00:11:02.760
something that we're very confident because i am in a sense all i'm doing is is showing
00:11:07.660
perhaps the world on our social media raisethecolours.org.uk that we we can stop this
00:11:15.740
if we've raised the colors can stop it surely our government can stop it surely our government could
00:11:20.000
put our perhaps armies into the into the channel and stop it there's a hundred hundreds of boats
00:11:25.800
coming out literally hundreds of men coming across the border on small boat dinghies as we speak
00:11:31.200
and the NGOs, the non-government organisations,
00:11:35.440
will have ferried these guys all across from Sudan,
00:11:48.640
and then they're going across Europe and then they get to France
00:11:52.960
and then the NGOs in France will then tell them
00:11:55.720
what's the best day to cross, how the weather is,
00:12:00.040
We've had no crossings for a few days because of the weather.
00:12:03.480
So, you know, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to stop this.
00:12:10.040
and then we then fund it for the next five years
00:12:15.160
And the other max-up is then the list I've got of the rapes,
00:12:22.520
of the child exploitation, of the murders, of the people...
00:12:27.960
let's let's let's hold that list and hold the list and we'll we'll go through it in just two
00:12:34.240
minutes i just want to give a quick shout out to birch gold group um folks as you might well know
00:12:40.400
from now up until may the 29th you've got one full week left birch gold is giving first time
00:12:47.240
gold buyers a special rebate of up to ten thousand dollars on qualifying purchases if you want
00:12:54.960
details of that or if you want the free information kit that Philip Patrick and
00:12:59.640
his team have put together on how to diversify into gold text Bannon that's
00:13:06.360
B-A-N-N-O-N to 989898 Birch Gold can help you convert an existing IRA or even a
00:13:16.440
401k into a tax-sheltered IRA in physical gold once again text Bannon to
00:13:22.340
the number 989898 and Philip Patrick and his team are standing by to give you whatever
00:13:31.140
advice you might find useful. Also if you are a home owner it's all in the news constantly that
00:13:41.880
cyber criminals are now using AI to expand their criminal reach and they're doing that
00:13:49.700
specifically right now to steal home titles uh and of course with ai that's easier than ever before
00:13:57.460
so if you want to check the status of your title if you've not done that recently or indeed if
00:14:06.100
you've got perhaps a collection or foreclosure notice but you know that you haven't done anything
00:14:11.780
to sell your home there and you want some advice again like a free title history report then speak
00:14:22.340
to the great folk at home title lock you can go on to um that home title lock dot com promo code
00:14:31.680
steve get the details there uh put a request in and they will send you a free title history report
00:14:38.280
on your home they'll give you a free 14 day trial of their million dollar triple lock protection
00:14:44.560
and that's the that's the offer that gives you the 24 7 monitoring of your home title
00:14:51.100
urgent alerts to any changes and if fraud should happen they'll spend up to one million dollars
00:14:58.640
trying to fix it that's once again home title lock dot com promo code steve and of course
00:15:06.880
just uh putting in that request won't cost you anything but it will give you peace of mind
00:15:11.860
back now to ryan bridge you mentioned just before you go to the the summary that you prepared
00:15:18.600
of the rocketing sexual and violent crimes in the uk against women and children you did just
00:15:25.160
mention the situation with the crown prosecution service i just want to draw out for our mainly
00:15:33.640
american audience that the crown prosecution service is the organization in the british
00:15:38.680
state part of the judiciary that organizes the charging the criminal charging of people
00:15:48.040
that is the organization that how many years ago what 15 20 years ago that was headed by
00:15:55.000
keir starmer they're the actual prime minister so i i don't wanna i it's important to draw that
00:16:01.400
connection ryan when you're talking about the the cps there will be connections friendships
00:16:08.360
networks no doubt direct line 100 point you know you did make the point that you your your main
00:16:14.380
beef isn't so much with the police who are just following orders but with the british government
00:16:18.360
that the home office and what have you there's there's a it's a it's a seamless garment right
00:16:23.960
what they're doing too yes correct yeah correct i mean our british home office as we know
00:16:28.900
have served papers on me from the French government.
00:16:31.460
They've been the lackeys, the running boys for them.
00:16:38.780
And as we know, you know, Keir Starmer, you know,
00:16:41.980
I don't even want to say he's our leader because he's not my leader.
00:16:45.180
He literally, you know, he's defended people that have caused terror on the streets.
00:16:51.840
And to do that and then be in charge of our countries,
00:16:56.960
So, yeah, I think this has definitely come from the top.
00:17:00.980
And also the police and the CID, who are like, I don't know,
00:17:05.360
like FBI style, the CID in the UK have said to me,
00:17:10.360
we don't know why we're here, we don't know why we're doing this to you.
00:17:18.900
And I think we are at Raise the Colours really shaking the branches
00:17:23.160
and we are uncovering a lot and that's why they're trying to silence me.
00:17:26.960
um from doing this i mean we was just on a normal flagging mission where we go out and we
00:17:31.560
raise some flags and show the show the country that we're behind you and it's you know don't
00:17:35.980
be scared to come out and put the flag out of your country i mean if you if you do that in the uk
0.93
00:17:40.660
you're down as a racist a nazi a fascist uh you know whatever they want to call us um so we were
0.51
00:17:46.920
out there flagging and then that's when these you know band organization in america like antifa
0.98
00:18:01.300
where they rip the flags down, they slashed the flags,
00:18:04.740
they flashed the remembrance flags that had fallen on Armistice Day,
00:18:09.440
they slashed them, which we've spoke about in the past,
00:18:12.420
and it's the same group that come out, so we confronted them,
00:18:15.500
and that's when things were going backwards and forwards,
00:18:18.880
and these guys actually come, and the cherry picker van
00:18:21.320
And with the hydraulic lift on the back, which gets us up to the lamppost to erect the flags,
00:18:26.220
they actually attacked that with wooden pallets.
00:18:28.200
And our driver was trying to get out of the way, and one of them has been hit with that van.
00:18:33.840
It's an ongoing case, but obviously I wasn't there.
00:18:49.100
I wonder whether Denver might be able to get the video of this guy going around with the mask, the 30-second video.
00:19:04.140
We'll get that. We'll play it up as you're talking.
00:19:09.020
Many people would like to know, because the suggestion has been made, that this might not be one of your guys, right?
00:19:15.420
this is the footage of the guy going around uh ripping masks off of um of other protesters of
00:19:22.580
counter protesters himself wearing a mask is this someone that you personally directed to do these
00:19:28.580
things no 100 percent i mean when this sort of event went there when this sort of um when this
00:19:34.600
altercation so say went on i wasn't actually in that area we'd left we'd finished what we were
00:19:39.160
doing we'd done our flagging mission to the night we we got invited um for refreshments by the local
00:19:45.080
working men's club British working men's club you know old-fashioned traditions that the men
00:19:50.580
were in there playing dominoes finished work and you know it's an old-fashioned British working
00:19:54.460
men's club and we got invited in there and they said this has been took over by you know people
00:20:00.120
from the the liberal left and as you can see someone's wearing a raise the colours jumper
00:20:05.140
which you can buy from raise the colours official.com and you know one of these perhaps could
00:20:11.220
have brought this jumper and wore the antifa style clothing um and that's sort of where we're at so
00:20:18.740
this video the reason i want to show this to the war in posse is that this video is doing the rounds
00:20:24.940
there's a selection you know i wonder if denver might be able to scroll some of the articles
00:20:29.340
and that i sent through this in your local regional press like the birmingham mail they're
00:20:35.760
going big on this saying that this is you know this is uh intimidation indicating the fascist
00:20:41.880
underbelly of raise the colors you don't even know whether this is one of your guys or whether
00:20:47.280
it's infiltration you know we don't even know this i mean the birmingham the birmingham mail
00:20:52.700
as you as your viewers can see now it's always all about raise the colors it's all about how bad
00:20:57.780
we are uh thugs hit out at people this that and the other i mean i have got a document here an
00:21:03.660
email i wrote this email um i wrote this email yesterday to birmingham live and we invited them
00:21:10.560
raise the colors would like to invite you and your team to attend a reef laying in memory of um
00:21:15.740
fusilier lee rigby this evening birmingham city center we'll take base between seven and eight
00:21:20.340
please get back to us i'll put all the details on there they don't even respond raise the colors
00:21:25.260
part of our community we put a reef bearing for fusilier lee rigby who got um you know he got
00:21:32.160
brutally murdered on the streets of the UK 13 years ago.
00:21:42.320
to do the reef-bearing for this morning, so it's all out there.
00:21:50.220
So, yeah, Aladjabola, he'd come into the country,
00:21:56.440
and it was another statistic of all these many people
00:21:59.760
that have caused terror on the streets of the UK
0.99
00:22:10.060
They're on the list where there's no embassy for the UK there.
00:22:13.160
And we're told we're not allowed to travel to these countries,
1.00
00:22:16.060
yet people from these countries can come to our country
0.99
00:22:18.480
illegally on small boat dinghies, and then we take them in.
0.51
00:22:21.740
For example, Don Majek, he was a convicted murderer
00:22:24.900
after he attacked a murdered hotel worker, Rhiannon Weiss.
00:22:44.460
the country and remaining unlawfully in our country
00:22:58.840
These people are coming into our country illegally
1.00
00:23:06.580
And I am banned from going to France for doing nothing wrong.
00:23:12.620

the british government is trying to suppress you because the more success you have in getting these
00:24:35.580
arguments out the more the uk government is going to be unable to keep a lid on the popular anger so
00:24:42.800
the only way they can deal with this situation is to suppress it i just want to say because as you

0.99
00:25:12.360
by these two guys if your memory serves me what what they what what what they've done um fucking
0.95
00:25:18.380

0.97
00:25:23.400
before and they was looking for their target they drove around numerous army bases they drove around
00:25:28.880
numerous cadet centers and so they were looking for a soldier and they seen um fusilier lee rigby
00:25:35.940
and he wasn't in his military gear but he had um a help the heroes t-shirt which is a
00:25:41.560
an organization close to our heart at raise the colors and they targeted him and ran him over
00:25:46.900
first when he got up and after the after they ran him over they then beheaded him and decapitated
0.96
00:25:52.700
yeah disgusting disgusting people need to pay for that the people responsible for allowing that
0.95
00:25:58.500
happen that happened need to pay look we've got about 30 seconds very very quickly folks
00:26:04.080

They're sending out more collection notices, filing more tax liens, and collecting billions more in recent years.

Well, this week, Christian Schmidt, the high representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina, resigned after having a meeting with the UN Security Council.
00:32:24.280
This is something we've been discussing on the show quite a couple of times, actually, with Philip Gaspar, our resident Balkan expert.
00:32:32.840
Philip joins us today fresh back from Sarajevo.
00:32:36.320
This is pretty important, I think, because it's one of the lasting legacy projects of Bill Clinton and his presidency, though fundamentally endorsed by the neocon, U.S. neocon establishment since, was it 1996, the Dayton Peace Accords, 95, 96.
00:32:55.080
um and it's it's the it's the one nation building democracy building venture i think
00:33:03.640
after the collapse of iraq and afghanistan on which perhaps is arguably modeled um that's left
00:33:11.040
still standing and now it's uh it's time might indeed be winning out um just remind the war
00:33:19.060
in posse where we are on this story and why this is important for the for the us taxpayer
00:33:24.260
oh thank you as you said it's the it's the last last nation building experiment i would say in
00:33:33.960
europe after 30 years after 30 years after the after the war ended and which has proven which
00:33:41.780
has proven that something like nation building doesn't work and also and also that to impose
00:33:47.520
a system in a foreign country where a foreigner holds powers that he can that he can impose
0.54
00:33:56.660
that all this money that goes into a foreign nation
00:34:22.880
going to step step back but he will stay he will stay in power until a successor is found
00:34:28.160
but um he and he said and he said by by resigning that the biggest constitutional crisis the
00:34:35.040
the country bosnia-arzegovina or state bosnia-arzegovina has entered after after the end of
00:34:39.120
the war that he's accusing also the serbs and other parts that they're they're working against
00:34:45.360
the state but i think in the end he didn't he didn't he he didn't have the support by the trump
00:34:51.520
administration and also a lot of all of people inside bosnia and hezegovina and outside were
00:34:56.640
frustrated frustrated by the actions he has taken in the in the last in the last years
00:35:02.880
so already he didn't have the support of russia and brackets china but principally russia
00:35:08.880
um and now you're saying it appeared that he lost the support of the u.s administration
00:35:15.440
which has made his position somewhat untenable exactly we'll talk about the implications we'll
00:35:20.560
We'll talk about that just now, about what this means that the Trump administration has pulled the rug.
00:35:26.320
But before we do that, let's just recap here who this guy is, the role that he had as high representative.
00:35:32.420
It's effectively a colonial, it's a Western colonial superstructure that stands above the Bosnian state.
00:35:40.440
This guy, this high representative who's not elected, has no democratic mandate, can dismiss governments.
00:35:49.180
He's basically a dictator above change the constitution. He sits above the whole legal democratic framework, empowered by the Western powers.
00:36:01.920
and you have made quite reasonably as a critic of the office but you you do make you do tip the hat
00:36:10.500
to suggest that perhaps this infrastructure was that the role of the high representative might
00:36:15.980
have been necessary 30 years ago where when the country was just coming out of a a terrible
00:36:21.460
civil war um but it's it's really not inhibiting the ability of democracy to take root you know
00:36:28.320
i don't know what the term is in america but in in the uk in the uk we use the word stabilizers
00:36:33.360
for these little wheels that you get on kids bikes i think americans have a different term
00:36:38.220
but you know you put the kid on the you put the stabilizers on the bike the kid learns how to ride
00:36:43.820
the bike and then you take the stabilizers off uh and i i'd use that as the metaphor for the
00:36:48.680
role of the high representative exactly provisional a provisional temporary system
00:36:54.180
to allow the previously warring factions to get together
00:36:59.460
and build their state together, and now it's impeding that.
00:37:05.060
Just tell me a bit about why you think the Trump administration
00:37:11.040
Do they want their own guy in, or do they want to fundamentally re-imagine
00:37:20.400
So just to say at the beginning, when this position of the Irish incentive was implemented 30 years ago, stopped the war, stopped the blood, blood cheating on all sides.
00:37:31.260
But the problem, as you mentioned, it was a model that was modelized for the beginning to stabilize or to introduce something like democracy.
00:37:41.160
But it became a politically infantilisy and nothing works because you can't, if you don't give responsibility to people in the end, of course, they won't grow up in political terms and nothing will change.
00:37:54.580
In my opinion, what the Trump administration, of course, first, as you mentioned at the beginning, the high amount of taxpayers' money that has pulled into the country the last 40 years, for what?
00:38:05.720
It's getting worse economically seen and politically seen.
00:38:11.680
And I think the second thing that you said, if they are going to implement a successor, then, of course, I think someone with less powers than the high representative has at the beginning.
00:38:24.340
And, of course, someone who is more aligned with the Trump administration.
00:38:31.620
So with the last years, the main focus by the U.S. government, and I think by the Western, was that the fight against corruption, and now when you look at Western Balkans, especially Bosnia and Herzegovina, that you have also a problem regarding security issues, comes to Islamization or something else, which doesn't mean, I don't want to say it's a country like Afghanistan or something like this.
00:38:57.160
Hold it there, Philip. I'm just going to do a quick shout out to the show's second half, two sponsors, and then we'll come back. Because I actually think the system here that is failing in real time in Bosnia might be used, utilised, perhaps for the two-state solution in the Holy Land, and I think that's a big risk there.
00:39:18.100
But first of all, perhaps you owe back taxes and you haven't filed in many years and the IRS is sending you letters threatening liens and what have you and you need some advice.
00:39:32.760
Well, now is the time for you to get that advice and speak to the good folk at Tax Network USA because they are offering right now a completely free IRS research and discovery call to show you exactly where you stand and what they can do before it's too late.

00:39:58.720

00:41:50.320
Back with Philip Gaspar right now. Philip, you know, when it comes to the situation in Bosnia, Herzegovina, and I have to say, I do read your analysis on this. You are very fair to the situation. You do point out the fact that there was some utility in the role 30 years ago.
00:42:10.120
And you tip your hat in that direction, though you're suggesting it's basically inhibiting now the embedding down of democracy.
00:42:19.820
Two very quick questions for you. Let's deal with the first one.
00:42:24.800
Is it possible that this nation building model that is now 30 years old might be dusted off again and used in the Holy Land, do you think, for a two state solution there?
00:42:40.120
you mean like uh you mean like in to um nation building and what what kind of nation do you
00:42:47.760
do you want to do want to create in the holy land exactly um they already are tried tried
00:42:53.960
the nation building by creating the palestinians so i don't know which which which new one they
00:42:58.580
want to create no i don't think i don't think that any nation any nation building in in this
0.99
00:43:03.300
in this in the last 40 or 40 years was a success and it will it will fail and it doesn't matter if
00:43:09.700
if you if you call it nation building or implementation of a peace agreement if the if
00:43:14.180
the people ethnicities in the country itself don't don't want to develop a peace or live live together
00:43:20.180
then you can't force anything on them the um there is an article you've got this article out i think
00:43:26.740
quite recently in the hungarian conservative which is great it's a great um it's a great website by
00:43:34.900
the way I have a great writers there you make the argument which is that the
00:43:38.740
principal critique of the of the neocon nation-building enterprise that you
00:43:46.060
can't embed democracy in nations that don't want democracy it's just going to
00:43:52.840
end up in an expensive failure let me ask you this because you are an expert
00:43:57.280
here in the Balkans and you do make the point that withdrawing either the role
00:44:06.220
the office Western support could leave the very precarious situation in
00:44:14.560
Bosnia and Herzegovina to deteriorate let me just ask you whether you think a
00:44:22.840
a separation into the various ethnic parts, a full devolution, breaking up the country,
00:44:29.880
is the worst, if it can be done peacefully and with a degree of order,
00:44:35.720
whether that is really the worst possible outcome at this stage 30 years on?
00:44:41.900
Now, first to the first point, so if you ask the people on the ground in Bosnia and Herzegovina
00:44:47.240
if they are Democrats, of course, so I wouldn't say that the democratic process itself has failed.
00:44:52.120
It's just what we used the term at the beginning, that the people or the politicians are not hold accountable for the responsibilities, what they're doing.
00:45:01.800
To the second point, I don't know if the audience is aware of it, but Bosnia-Zugovina, the state itself, is divided into two entities.
00:45:08.260
One is called the Republika Srpska, which is not to mismatch with Serbia itself, and the so-called Croat-Bosniak-Muslim Federation.
00:45:16.440
federation the croats recently are are seeking and seeking and calling for the or for their own
00:45:23.540
third entity why because you have this you have this um you have this model when it comes to
00:45:29.880
elections that um that that bosniaks can vote and elect the representative of the croats which is
00:45:38.180
of course unfair so the croats are seeking for their for their own entity and to now finally
00:45:42.920
answer your question of course every every every piece and every model that is that is done without
00:45:47.880
without blood is good and i think it's the in the in this in this right now this moment it's the it's
00:45:53.480
the only way that can um that can um lead to a prosperity in bosnia-ezegovina because i'm i'm
00:46:02.680
myself i'm against war against violence my family was was uh it still is from there so it makes no
00:46:08.120
absolutely no sense but to finish it it's the only way that the that the politicians and also
00:46:13.400
the people finally finally take responsibility and take their own destiny in their own hands
00:46:20.840
and as i say you just got back from sarajevo what's what's the view what on the idea of of
00:46:26.600
of a if you can only hold if if the only way you hold this state together is by having a colonial
00:46:32.680
style dictator, I don't know, just forcing it together with Western political support
00:46:43.600
If that's the only way of keeping the glue of this entity together, then perhaps the
00:46:55.560
devolution into separate ethnic territories is the only way forward.
00:47:00.280
what do people what what are people thinking on the ground there towards that is there a fondness
00:47:05.280
now after 30 years is there a sentimental attachment a sense of patriotism towards
00:47:11.280
this unitary government or or not really no to the government itself of course not i mean if you ask
00:47:17.680
if you ask any person from it doesn't matter if it's a croat or serb or bosniak they they love
0.96
00:47:23.760
they love the country i think it's a typical belkan thing that you don't trust the government
00:48:27.720
and i think most of the people see it as a finally as a chance to to to get risk to be
00:48:34.740
responsible and to to to bring their country into a new future so if they fail if it's because
00:48:41.500
everyone calls bosnia cegovina a failed state but in the future if it still stays a failed state so
00:48:46.540
the bosnian the people of bosnia cegovina it's their own fault you know by someone from outside
0.63
00:48:51.980
we've pretty much reached the end now um of the show but just like give me 60 seconds do you think
00:48:59.040
that the role of high listening to speak here do you think that the role of high representative is
00:49:05.780
basically a remodeling and a reimagining along western sensibilities of the role that uh the
00:49:14.040
personal authority that marshal tito had in in holding things together in yugoslavia yeah yeah
00:49:20.700
Yeah, maybe a little bit, but as you said, what I don't understand when it comes to people from Bosnia-Herzegovina,
00:49:32.040
that they don't see it, that they want to keep this position instead of seeing it.
0.85
00:49:36.780
I, for myself, would tell the high representative to go because I don't need a nanny or someone else who's taking care of me.
00:49:45.920
so maybe at the beginning they fought or maybe they fought that the people are savages
00:49:50.040
and they need control from the outside but i think it's it's why it's worse so that's the only only
00:49:56.440
way look just while i've got you here because i have a perplexity again very very quick response
00:50:02.160
but you mentioned how you had how the entity you have basically three separate presidents
00:50:07.020
supposedly elected by their exactly if you will uh demographic and you mentioned the fact that
00:50:14.020
that the bosniacs are voting in the serbian if i've got that right um but how do you stop that from
00:50:22.820
the crow but how do you stop that from taking place the the croat the croats are are asking
00:50:29.540
for years now to change this this and the call actual electrical law right at the moment right
00:50:35.380
at the moment the the bosniacs and croats can so can vote for foreign for it's not like this that
00:50:42.020
that the Croats can only vote for a Croat politician
00:50:45.220
and that the Bosniaks can vote for a Bosniak politician
00:50:50.420
The Bosniaks say, okay, we impose our own candidates
0.88
00:50:55.260
so that they have basically two instead of one,
00:51:07.880
and you're suggesting it needs to go to a closed primary system
00:51:10.760
system on on election but how you would do that without just basically not not getting not giving
00:51:17.080
voting rights along ethnic lines in which case you are basically devolving the state anyway right
00:51:23.480
anyway look um philip gasper you are the the expert on all these things um uh in in the balkans uh
