00:00:28.800I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:00:34.680Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:00:38.440If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:00:44.820War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:00:53.600Good evening. Harnwell here at the helm on Steve Bannon's War Room.
00:00:58.580We're going to pick off now where we left off, actually, in the last interview that we did with Dr. Bradley Thayer, because pretty much we came to the conclusion that there was so much material there, we're going to pick it up again.
00:01:12.900And events somewhat have anticipated this.
00:01:17.420There's an incredible article out in New York magazine, of all places, doubting that the concept of cultural Marxism even exists beyond the echo chamber of right wing conspiracy theories.
00:01:37.680We'll be talking about that in just a moment.
00:01:40.240First of all, let's bring on Dr. Thayer right now.
00:06:52.980Let me come back and stick on this argument that you've made. I never heard this
00:06:58.980made in this way before. And I want to wheel back and ask you to expand on this point,
00:07:07.040Because you do talk elsewhere in this article that fundamentally what's taking place in America right now, almost it defines the spiritual stroke political battle of the age is this fight, as you say, for the values of 1776.
00:07:29.420and you do see that being made you do see those arguments being made especially
00:07:36.560in and around the 250th anniversary of the the signing of the declaration of independence but
00:07:44.280what you the argument you make here is you i mean you make that argument but then you take it into
00:07:50.340a place that i haven't seen before that's why i'm i want to dwell on that and get you to open up on
00:07:56.120And that is, as you say, that identity, as you defined it just a moment or so ago, what we're fighting for, the identity there of America is the soul of America.
00:08:08.800I want to, because if that's true, if that insight is true, it explains so much of why Democrats have, for the last generation perhaps, really ditched the policy platform, the pretense of fighting for the, the pretense I say, the pretense, they've ditched even the pretense of fighting for the regular working guy.
00:08:37.800And they've gone all in on what? On identity politics. But you're taking a step back from that and you're saying that America's identity of itself is in some ways the soul of the country itself.
00:08:53.560It's a bit of meta-analysis and referring to itself in the insight, which is particularly interesting.
00:09:02.660So come back to this, if you wouldn't mind, and say specifically, what do you mean when you throw this thesis out?
00:09:10.560What do you mean by that, that identity, open brackets, including involving the fight, the present fight, is the soul of America?
00:09:23.560Certainly, Ben. The idea is that at root, whether Madison's, whether the Founding Fathers' America
00:09:30.240is going to survive, or whether Lenin's America is going to survive, whether you're going to have
00:09:35.680a successful communist revolution in the United States. So which side will win this ideological
00:09:41.620conflict for the soul of America? For Americans and Western civilization, there's no greater issue.
00:09:49.160We've been fighting communism for a hundred years, but we're at risk now of losing it.
00:09:55.640We're at risk of losing our soul and having the United States' American identity,
00:10:03.160the essence of America, destroyed forever and replaced by a neo-Leninist government
00:10:11.080That would be the Democratic Party were it to come into power in January of 2029, as well as the midterms, of course, which are salient as well, the elections, of course, this November of 2026.
00:10:26.740So that's the struggle. Our identity, which was once very secure for generation after generation, American identity was secure before the Leninists made it an issue.
00:10:40.980Before the Leninists attacked it and made it that battlefield by taking over the ideas industry, as I illuminate in the book, America's Hundred Years' War, How to Win Against Communism, they took over the ideas industry, civil society, journalism, the elements, our institutions, indeed the Democratic Party itself, and replaced it with something which is very dark.
00:11:10.980Bolshevik party. So we're in this situation where the United States faces, if you will,
00:11:20.020a revolutionary party, as well as a party, the Republican Party, which seeks at one level to
00:11:26.900sustain, of course, American identity. So this is the fight of the day. It's going on, it's urgent,
00:11:36.020and we need to recognize that we are in a revolutionary time. And the outcome is not
00:11:42.340guaranteed. It's not clear that Madison is going to defeat Lenin. Lenin very well may defeat
00:11:48.080Madison in the United States, as unthinkable as that once was, Ben. But because there have been
00:11:53.860consistent hammer blows, sledgehammer blows directed against American identity and Western
00:12:00.140civilization, as you well know, attacks on the church, attacks on the family, attacks on our
00:12:06.920educational system, attacks on American history, attacks on American institutions, attacks on
00:12:12.880American museums, where the Smithsonian now is essentially advancing Leninist agitprop in its
00:12:22.160displays. As unthinkable as that once might have been, that's the world that we're in now.
00:12:28.680We have to recognize the size of the threat, the lateness of the hour, and that compels us to act urgently to address this problem.
00:12:37.820dr thayer before we move on one moment let me um let me just ask you you do think in terms of
00:12:48.720talking about this as sort of as fundamentally as you frame it a battle between the spirit
00:12:54.120of 1776 and the spirit of 1917 and and you're framing this as fundamentally a spiritual battle
00:13:05.080You do think that this is ultimately a satanic, a diabolic attempt to unseat Jesus Christ?0.86
00:13:17.380Well, Lenin and the Bolsheviks, Ben, were unmistakably evil in terms of what they did and what they unleashed.0.64
00:13:24.580And their incandescent hatred for the West, Western civilization, for democracy, for even aristocratic government, the czars, right?0.72
00:13:34.780That incandescent hatred is something which is foreign to Americans, hostile to Western
00:13:40.840civilization, and hostile to American identity.
00:13:43.520So we need to treat it as an evil phenomenon and recognize it.
00:13:49.880But at the same time, equally, they're extremely skilled at political warfare, and they're
00:13:56.200extremely skilled at penetrating societies to unhinge them to advance their agenda.
00:14:02.300and we always seem to be two or three or four steps behind them uh when you say when you say
00:14:10.940when you use the words incandescent hatred what is the for you for bradley thayer what is the origin
00:14:17.980of that incandescence against the judeo-christian west i don't want to put words into your
00:14:24.160mouth but i just want to know sort of where you're coming from on this
00:14:27.560Certainly. We'll never know Lenin's soul, of course. We'll never know his heart.
00:14:34.540We know his writings, though, and we know his experiences, and we know his wife, his sisters, and his relatives.
00:14:44.380Lenin was an individual who was driven from the outset, even before the execution of his brother,
00:14:52.700older brother, Alexander, for his participation in a terrorist plot to kill the Tsar in Russia.
00:15:02.380Lenin was driven by—there is an element of what had to have been a very sinister component
00:15:12.300of Lenin's being. And he was, if you will, able to channel his hatred into not only theoretical
00:15:26.080arguments, which were incredibly cogent and persuasive, but also very practical action
00:15:33.160to bring about a revolution. Lenin was a genius, an evil genius, who was able to wedge theory and
00:15:41.340policy together to provide the tools, the toolkit, the instruction manual, and the way forward,
00:15:51.600and the inspiration for revolution, for communist revolution around the world. So you have an
00:16:00.060individual who did not see humans as humans. He did not see individuals as individuals. He saw
00:16:05.540them as, if you will, pieces to be moved on his chessboard. And if they were damaged, if they
00:16:14.840suffered famine, if they suffered death, if they were executed, all of that was necessary
00:16:21.320to advance the Bolshevik project. So, Ben, we are truly dealing with an individual who was
00:16:32.740profound, was evil. And we need to recognize that. That is the fight of today.
00:16:39.760If we don't see the nature of it and the fact that he was supremely skilled
00:16:45.820as a strategist, as a tactician, we are always condemned to lose, despite the great strengths
00:16:56.260that we have. Our identity is far better. Our strengths are far greater. And rightfully so,
00:17:01.700the society that the founding fathers gave us, Western civilization, are antidotes to Lenin0.96
00:17:09.500and the Bolsheviks and the spirit of 1917, if we can employ them presently and effectively0.80
00:17:16.580to address this immediacy. The urgency, again, is immediate.
00:17:24.720All right. Just stay with me, Dr. Thea. Time for a quick shout out to the show's sponsor,
00:17:31.240The birch gold, as we've been noting daily on the war, the price of gold is starting to ascend.
00:17:39.400It started off in January this year at around $4,500 an ounce, came down to $4,000 an ounce a couple of months ago
00:17:54.000And then started its slow ascent all the way back up again, touching between $4,400, $4,500 an hour.
00:18:07.400And most, as I read the Financial Times every day, most commentators are expecting that ascent to continue.
00:18:15.040And therefore, if folks, you're thinking about how to arrange your investments, what's going to go up, what's going to come down, what's happening with Bitcoin, for example, is that really a safe haven that everyone has suggested it would be?
00:18:35.840speak to the experts on this speak to the people who understand gold because they they work with
00:18:45.460it follow it study it every day and that is philip patrick and his team at birch gold group it's
00:18:52.860their job to when you phone them to talk you through exactly what the process is um and you
00:18:59.420don't have to have hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings either if you
00:19:03.480wanted to diversify and open up an ira in physical gold um you can do it with substantially less just
00:19:13.320tell them what your situation is and they'll talk you through exactly how it's done and i'll tell
00:19:17.680you this is going to be a lot easier than what you think it is if you've never done it before
00:19:21.120text bannon b-a-n-n-o-n to 98 98 98 simple as that and uh and then get in touch with philip
00:19:30.840patrick and his team they'll just tell them as i say what your situation is and they'll tell you
00:19:37.040what your options are what you can do um a phone call that could quite literally change the
00:19:44.260direction and the success of your of your savings even if you're not even a retail investor and you
00:19:51.440don't really have a portfolio but you do have perhaps some cash sitting in a bank account
00:19:58.580because now is the time with national interest repayments on the debt
00:20:09.060at $1.2 trillion per year, larger than even what America spends on defense.
00:20:16.280Now is the time that dollars are going to lose their purchasing power
00:20:24.140like never before as the government is forced to print more dollars in order to meet its
00:20:33.200debt obligations. Text Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N to 989898 once again and speak to Philip Patrick
00:20:41.540and his team. Now back to Dr. Bradley Thayer, fellow of the American Freedom Alliance and author
00:20:51.220of america's hundred years war dr thayer just before we move into the commercial break i do
00:20:58.160want to ask you because you mentioned in your article in human events just how successful
00:21:03.900communism has been and i want to ask you why that is uh why has an ideology that so demonstrably
00:21:15.660failed as witnessed in the fall of the berlin wall as a as an ideology that so unambiguously
00:21:25.740and unarguably failed why it is quite so strong and let me put this thesis to you to take your
00:21:32.680reaction on it as you answer that question it would seem to me because communism is extremely
00:21:37.160very good at sloganeering um in a way that the right particularly isn't i mean you it's difficult
00:21:46.440if you take something for example like no child left behind however meaningless that is how on
00:21:54.020earth but it but it it has a concept which you can spread in quite just like like a handful of words
00:22:01.280And it takes a whole page of A4 to explain why that's really nonsense and why it's just a power grab for the federal government in so many different departmental areas, education specifically, but not exclusively, expanding out from that because America doesn't want any child to be left behind.
00:22:22.640And the right has traditionally not been able to compete against the left on slogan for slogan.
00:22:32.580That's part of, and it's not original to me, that insight,
00:22:37.680but it does seem to me to explain something of the essence of why communism has been for failed ideology,
00:22:48.100how it continues not always under explicit communism sometimes under socialism sometimes
00:22:54.580under democratic socialism sometimes like no child left behind it that's not even technically
00:23:02.420a socialist um precept in and of itself but it just opens the door the unlimited government
00:23:10.100expansion into that area just give me your own analysis as we go to the break on why
00:23:15.240you think, having said in your article how communism has been so successful, as to why
00:23:21.720that is for an ideology that so manifestly failed? Well, Ben, I think it's a great question
00:23:31.160and a very important question. I think we need to address it. We need to look at really the
00:23:37.640leaders of communist movements, and we need to look at their appeal at a popular level. For
00:23:43.340leaders of communist movements, Lenin gives them again that toolkit, the instruction manual. It's
00:23:49.880very good at delivering on the promise of tyrannical rule, totalitarian rule,
00:23:57.440to a small elite group that can seize state control and maintain state control
00:24:03.520to advance their aims, to advance the vision, the tyrannical vision that they seek to impose
00:24:11.200on the rest of us under the guise of progressivism, which, in fact, it's monstrously retro-aggressive.
00:24:18.640So I think that speaks to your point about the sloganeering, that they are able to advance that.
00:24:27.440I would also add at the elite level, too, because they own the ideas industry,
00:40:21.320And if you're self-employed, receive 1099 income or own a business, they'll review your iOS file and prepare your federal return for just $300.

00:41:15.420network usa.com all right as we round out the show let's go back to dr thayer you mention in
00:41:24.320your book and you mention in the human events article as well the another strategy um
00:41:32.180that originates with lenin and that is the worse the better and your intuition is that is exactly why
00:41:44.460the democrats are pursuing so vigorously policies they know will make life so much worse
00:41:53.820for ordinary americans because the policy is the worse the better just i know you said this when
00:42:00.420came on the show before but can you build a little bit more onto that analysis as a strategy
00:42:07.040and how it's and i think it dovetails nicely into what you're saying just before the ad read
00:42:13.420in terms of the invasion for example but just say if you wouldn't mind a bit more about
00:42:19.800how that that strategy the worse the better is being implemented in today's politics by the left
00:42:27.880and specifically by the Socialist Democrats?
00:42:55.820because they were not Russian nationalists.
00:42:57.520were working to undermine the Russian army, the Russian war effort, the government of Russia,
00:43:04.320the Church of Russia. Everything that was holding the society together, they sought to undermine.
00:43:10.320By making things worse for the Russian people, they were advancing revolution. They were making0.86
00:43:16.560it more likely that the communist revolution would come about. So the worse, the better for them,
00:43:21.680that is for the Bolsheviks. So we have that today. The worse, the better. Ben, I would ask you,1.00
00:43:27.280why does the British Labour Party not stop illegal immigration? Despite every opinion poll1.00
00:43:35.520saying that the British people are fed up with immigration, as in Europe, or the Irish people
00:43:41.440as well throughout Europe. Well, why? Well, the worse, the better. The point is not
00:43:48.560to even assist the immigrants or to facilitate that whatsoever. It is because they're a cudgel.1.00
00:43:54.720They're a weapon to be used against the populations of Europe, as the Biden administration did that against Americans.
00:44:02.500And were Democrats to return to office in 2029, we know that within three minutes, Ben, there would be executive orders that open the border again.
00:44:12.740With the intent of bringing in 60 million, not just 20 million, or Bonvino's argument that there are 105 million illegal immigrants in the United States.0.52
00:44:23.640But to add to that astronomical number, another 60, with the point of destroying the United States as a constitutional government.0.64
00:47:37.780actual substantial issues that in your free time you have put together and outlined in
00:47:47.700America's Hundred Years' War? Ben, it's clear to me that there are several options
00:47:56.020in orders of essentially the least likely to the most likely. One would be that they're ignorant0.99
00:48:02.560of this. Okay, that's a plausible explanation. I don't think that's the case. These are supremely
00:48:09.180political animals, and I think they know what's going on. Secondly would be they're captured
00:48:14.040by it. There are reasons why they don't want to call attention to this, because it's upsetting
00:48:21.800the status quo too much. To call attention to the danger, to call attention to the urgency of
00:48:29.280the hour would upset, if you will, a status quo, which has served the elite extremely well.
00:48:35.800And they simply don't want to do that. So I think that is, when we're talking about many
00:48:42.700individuals in the Republican Party, that's certainly the case. Thirdly, I think it is
00:48:48.640certainly the case that they have difficulty in truly advancing an America First agenda for that
00:48:57.040Republican Party. It would be so helpful and so obvious in terms of the solutions of what were
00:49:02.720needed to indeed to call this out, to say, this is what the Democrats are doing. This is how we're
00:49:07.860going to defeat it. This is how we're going to help Americans. And if you vote for these individuals,
00:49:14.600that is the Democrats and their allies, you're going to be in a very, very dark place very
00:49:20.900quickly, a totalitarian place very quickly. Those are the dangers. So they have difficulty,
00:49:27.400as you observed, Ben, advancing that message to describe the urgency of the hour. Is that because
00:49:36.000their donors don't want them to do it? Because at the end of the day, the donors are paying the bills,
00:49:41.080that is the pecuniary costs of running parties. That is certainly a possibility as well,
00:49:51.580despite the fact that if we do not right the ship immediately, the United States as a
00:49:59.520constitutional republic is going to be lost, and all of the money that the donors have
00:50:05.060we'll be for naught, we'll be worthless.
00:50:10.160Sometimes it is difficult to know exactly whose side the donors are on,
00:50:20.480especially when you're outlining what's really at stake here,
00:50:26.000what the underlying causes are in such a structural and analytical way.
00:50:30.440And as I'm sitting here over the past week reading your book here, as I'm sitting here on the wall and talking to you, I'm just struck at the realization nobody in the GOP, they're all interested in fundraising.
00:50:45.580They're all interested, you know, all that money that people are going to donate will go to the consultants, obviously, right?
00:52:55.040America's HealthShare reduces your health care costs by an average of 60%, and it's accepted everywhere.
00:53:02.240In other words, say goodbye to out-of-network limitations.
00:53:05.840They make health care affordable, transparent, and aligned with your values, free from surprise bills or skyrocketing premiums.
00:53:13.760For as low as $68 a month, an individual can get great health care coverage, minus the complications and price gouging from health care providers.
00:53:23.020You can completely scrap your current insurance or use America's health share to supplement your existing policy, even with Medicare.
