00:00:00.000 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:00:07.680 Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on these people.
00:00:12.920 I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.
00:00:17.180 The people have had a belly full of it.
00:00:19.120 I know you don't like hearing that.
00:00:20.540 I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that,
00:00:22.280 but you're not going to stop it.
00:00:23.220 It's going to happen.
00:00:24.480 And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
00:00:27.880 Mega Media.
00:00:28.780 I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:00:34.660 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:00:38.420 If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:00:44.800 War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:00:48.020 hanwell here at the helm on steve bannon's war room later on in the show we'll be just talking
00:01:02.500 a little bit about the life of padre pia saint pio di pietra little china a great saint fascinating
00:01:10.700 story cabochon fire who had the stigmata and his uh the stories of his miraculous
00:01:20.740 intercessions both when he was alive and after his death are film many many volumes i think
00:01:29.400 everyone's got their favorite padre pio miracle i'll be telling what mine is um in about 35
00:01:37.700 minutes time as Jenny Holland views very potted history the life and times of Padre Pio first
00:01:48.360 up however the rest of the show has the unifying theme of this is how much your betters your your
00:01:59.120 social betters hate you first we'll do this in the sphere of the Catholic Church and then we'll
00:02:06.820 We'll enter with Frank and then we'll enter the political arena with Jenny.
00:02:10.960 OK, so this week, apparently, folks, is what is billed as National Migration Week, NMW.
00:02:23.920 And the American Association of Hiring Shepherds is going all in, as it does every year on this.
00:02:31.860 we're told to um to to learn the acronym acronym of this national migration reach as n to refer to
00:02:40.200 it colloquially as nmw folks um as far as i'm concerned nmw stands for not on my watch um
00:02:52.560 frank do you have in the um in the walker household have you put your tinsel up yet
00:02:58.640 to celebrate National Invader Week?
00:03:01.860 How are you celebrating National Invader Week this year? 0.93
00:03:06.120 Not an invader, Migration Week, okay?
00:03:09.800 Because every migrant is Jesus.
00:03:13.840 Every migrant is Jesus because Jesus said that welcome the stranger.
00:03:19.440 So they don't change their rhetoric too much.
00:03:23.220 They don't change their tactics.
00:03:24.220 They always referred to Mother Cabrini, who back in the 19th, you know, the last turn of the century, took care of legal immigrants who were brought in here by law from Europe, not who flooded in under the radar, picked up by all the cartels and all the children stolen and abused.
00:03:45.500 No, it was a different situation, but for the bishops and for Leo, because this is also Leo's worldwide migration week starting kicking off on, I think, Thursday at the end of this week, everyone is Jesus.
00:04:02.700 And it's also about children, the children migration, because Jesus said, let the children come to me, which means let the abandoned children of illegal aliens escape through government NGOs and Catholic charities into the hands of cartels.
00:04:23.360 That's what let the little children come to me means when Jesus said that in the Bible.
00:04:28.400 According to Leo and the bishops, it's also, you know, nicely timed for the midterms, of course.
00:04:36.580 So the bishops here and Leo are turning out everything that they can.
00:04:40.820 Leo says they are concrete faces, these children, who have unique stories and call on our conscience.
00:04:46.340 Every year, millions of children and adolescents are forced to leave their homeland because of war, poverty, violence, environmental disaster.
00:04:52.820 and other tragedies. Their numbers continue to grow sadly. So Trump is so bad, and the deportations
00:05:00.340 are so terrible, and Leo and his bishops want you to know that. The only problem is that Catholic 1.00
00:05:06.420 charities of the Rio Grande just a couple years ago have been given a six-year suspension on
00:05:12.280 getting government funding, and Sister Pimentel, or I call her that, Sister Pimentel, used to have
00:05:18.680 pictures of her surrounded by the children just like jesus meanwhile more than half of the um 0.88
00:05:25.820 the people that they she has claimed to serve in her terrible auditing don't don't even exist on
00:05:31.520 the dhs records on the government records so where are they coming from and the and the the tactics
00:05:37.160 that they used for entry and exit really dovetail well with the cartels and smugglers and so it just
00:05:44.280 can i tell you who else doesn't exist right let me tell you who else doesn't exist absolutely
00:05:51.460 invisible american taxpayers they don't exist they're nowhere to be seen in the thoughts and
00:05:58.600 considerations of the american association of hiring shepherds not a reference to
00:06:04.280 this campaign will work then you don't think the campaign will affect the people
00:06:09.600 it will work with the people it normally works with right and with the people who have switched
00:06:17.380 off and tuned out and now see the hoax and the charade for what it is and hopefully it will
00:06:23.600 cement them in the courage necessary to bring down the this this gaggle of usurpers um and do
00:06:32.520 what we say every week on this show which is for the catholic laity it's the only way out of this
00:06:36.920 folks, for the Catholic laity to take the running of this church out of the hands of
00:06:44.440 the hireling shepherds, cause correction, and then decide at some future point. 0.98
00:06:52.100 Yeah, I'm all for it.
00:06:54.980 You know, Ben, Ken Paxson, who's running for Senate, has sued the Catholic charities in 0.57
00:07:00.740 the Rio Grande Valley and saying that they're keeping stash houses of illegals and engage
00:07:05.480 human smuggling and facilitate illegal entry of migrants. And also there was a subcommittee just
00:07:12.500 at the beginning of this month where they had an expert on guarding against trafficking. And she
00:07:18.160 said during the prior administration, I would say lots of the NGOs that were granted millions and
00:07:23.060 billions of dollars in awards and mishandled these programs lost hundreds of thousands of children
00:07:27.680 and profited greatly. I mean, these are lives of children that are taken in by the cartels.
00:07:33.720 They even like coordinate with them with pamphlets. Catholic charities, half of the people that they use are not even part of the system, but their locks and keys are coordinated with the cartels.
00:07:46.200 And even the organ-donating Chinese organ-harvesting cartels are also listed in this report.
00:07:54.600 From time to time, it does make it out into the press, not often, not as often as it should be,
00:08:00.260 because the press is basically regime media in Italy as it is in America, as it is in the UK,
00:08:10.300 and they tow the regime line, but occasionally it breaks out
00:08:14.360 that the Catholic Church is actively, the institutional Catholic Church,
00:08:19.000 via the welcome, the accolienza, that they are complicit,
00:08:26.460 absolutely proactively complicit for many, for taxpayer euros
00:08:31.100 in human trafficking under the guise of welcoming the migrant 0.51
00:08:40.040 And it's a hoax. But one thing that I appreciated, Frank, in your analysis of this is just how all in and how invested the institutional Catholic Church is in keeping the invasion going. 0.78
00:08:56.500 And the reason for this, as you were saying, it's all to do with money and to get some people to fill out the threadbare abandoned pews with some pretty savvy invaders who understand how to play the game. 0.55
00:09:13.360 They've got to pretend to play the Christian game that they're fleeing persecution in their home country. 0.92
00:09:23.520 We'll dig into this later. 0.75
00:09:25.120 So one thing I want to say before we move on,
00:09:29.040 and I'll say the issues are the same
00:09:31.520 from what we're talking about here
00:09:33.380 with National Invasion Week
00:09:35.660 with the stories that Jenny's going to talk about
00:09:40.940 and the third story, Frank,
00:09:46.080 that you're going to talk about.
00:09:47.620 It's the elites hate us.
00:09:50.040 That's the running theme here.
00:09:52.220 They really hate us.
00:09:55.120 Let's just, while I have like two minutes left,
00:09:57.960 I want to make this point.
00:09:59.220 And it comes back in the point that you're going to do
00:10:04.780 about the rise of the inverted commas far right in the UK
00:10:09.660 and the use of Christian imagery.
00:10:14.180 There is a substitution.
00:10:16.280 It's like the bait and switch,
00:10:19.300 like the hazelnut shell game here,
00:10:21.940 the walnut shell game with the P.
00:10:24.300 they do this very quickly unless you stop freeze frame say stop hold on a minute they do this so
00:10:32.880 quick is it bombards you bombards the senses and one is unable to fight back the bait and switch
00:10:40.100 here is oh this is the the one of the most most appalling aspects of the invasion um and the fact 0.94
00:10:51.000 that it's sort of being pushed by the catholic church that's being done in the name of god in
00:10:56.400 the name of jesus in the name of the gospel the um pope leo has chosen the text from matthew 18
00:11:04.000 5 even just one of these children that is to say whoever welcomes one such child in my name
00:11:13.480 welcomes me so what what what am i talking about the walnut shell game here there's no argument
00:11:20.620 about welcoming right i think believing christians have demonstrated themselves over the past 2 000
00:11:28.660 years of human history to be the most welcoming adherence on the face of the planet the issue
00:11:36.580 isn't welcoming the issue is paying right because what the human traffickers and those who make
00:11:43.780 their money out of the trafficking of the vulnerable people including children
00:11:48.120 But the shtick is when you get the invaders into the West, you are then obliged to state and where this hasn't been achieved by legislation, it's been achieved by judicial activism.
00:11:59.720 Once the invader is in, you then have to spend funds on education and health care and all and accommodation and feeding and the whole gamut of the welfare state is therefore necessary. 0.53
00:12:16.980 The issue isn't welcoming.
00:12:19.520 The issue is paying.
00:12:21.140 No one would have a problem.
00:12:22.520 You see, here's the thing. 0.93
00:12:23.380 If we scrapped the welfare state provision, right, on invaders, 0.99
00:12:29.400 they wouldn't come across anyway. 0.96
00:12:30.680 And then you'd go back to the situation that we had decades before 0.92
00:12:35.360 when you actually had migrants coming in legally to contribute,
00:12:40.000 people interested in coming in, assimilating, and contributing.
00:12:44.980 That's not the phenomenon we have now.
00:12:47.000 We have people who are invaders. 0.97
00:12:48.480 They are coming in as invaders to live off our foolishness. 0.96
00:12:55.060 So the issue here, and folks, flag this up. 0.82
00:12:58.000 When you're at the bar, when you're at the restaurant,
00:13:00.520 or at the table, and someone bombards you saying,
00:13:03.020 oh, we know how can you be a Christian
00:13:04.340 if you're against welcoming the vulnerable?
00:13:07.020 The issue isn't welcoming.
00:13:08.920 The issue is paying for.
00:13:12.200 And in America, south of the border,
00:13:14.640 There are hundreds of millions of people from various third world countries
00:13:18.160 who would love to come across, who are coming across the border,
00:13:21.280 the southern border, and expecting to live free on your dime.
00:13:25.160 Same thing here in continental Europe.
00:13:28.680 A billion people in Africa would love to come across, 1.00
00:13:33.020 and they are coming across into Europe to live on the European taxpayer euro. 0.93
00:13:38.380 So unless your position is anybody who wants to, which is, by the way, the Catholic Church's position, anyone who wants to come in, you have a human right to invade another country and for them to pay for you.
00:13:52.140 That is your human God-given right. So do so and we'll pay for you and we'll help, we'll assist this.
00:13:58.880 Unless that is your position, you are going to have to say no at some point. Are you going to say no now?
00:14:07.240 Are you going to say no when a million people have come in
00:14:09.520 and brought the system to bankruptcy and social collapse?
00:14:14.340 Are you going to say no when 10 million people come in
00:14:17.060 and you're in Camp of the Saints territory?
00:14:19.660 Where are you going to say no?
00:14:21.500 If you're going to say no, be prudential about it.
00:14:25.100 That's the point.
00:14:25.980 It's not about welcoming.
00:14:27.780 The issue isn't about welcoming.
00:14:29.280 It's not about saying we refuse to recognize Jesus Christ
00:14:33.140 in the face of the poor and the vulnerable.
00:14:34.940 The issue is a prudential issue of paying for, and if you don't give every penny that you have in your pocket to a homeless person as you're walking by, because you prudentially decide you can spend that money on other just uncharitable causes, the state has no right to take that taxpayer dollar from you, forcibly, throwing you in prison if you refuse to do it, and to give it to the poor people you refuse to do to.
00:15:04.220 that is not an exercise of charity all right look i'm sorry to stay on this point it is absolutely
00:15:10.180 essential for the um for the defense of the judeo-christian west that we christians in public
00:15:18.000 life um encourage the faithful um to have that spine put back in their back so they can stand
00:15:26.560 up and resist and resist in christian terms with christian vocabulary what these people
00:15:32.740 who are not christians right are trying to foist on the faithful right okay sorry folks
00:15:40.100 that exposition um but this is important the defense of the judeo-christian west is at stake
00:15:47.060 here if there's if the um and we need to see the institutional catholic church for the enemy
00:15:52.440 that it is on this point all right okay um quick shout out to the show sponsor then back with
00:15:58.860 jenny and frank in just one quick moment uh birch gold group all you know for the last month we've
00:16:05.540 been pointing out now that the national debt in the united states is now at 4 40 trillion dollars
00:16:12.080 with the annualized interest rate repayments at 1.2 trillion dollars huge amount of money there
00:16:21.020 which is more than America is spending even on defense,
00:16:28.560 which is not bad for the world's largest military industrial complex.
00:16:33.880 This article here you see in front of you on the screen,
00:16:37.840 I flagged that up from the Financial Times this week,
00:16:41.960 says that Wall Street expects the US to issue about $1 trillion of short-term debt
00:16:46.720 as borrowing costs climb.
00:16:48.700 we are heading into times of turbulence folks if you have dollar savings those are going to be
00:16:56.240 whittled away as it doesn't matter who's in the white house whoever is in the white house so
00:17:02.160 this donald trump or anyone else is all almost a certain degree has their hands tied on this one
00:17:09.400 they are going to confiscate wealth from whatever area of the economy that it is in order to pay off
00:17:16.960 the the requirements on the national debt um and that means if you have dollar savings those are
00:17:23.120 going to be whittled away as well via inflation so speak to philip patrick and his team at birch
00:17:32.000 gold group if you haven't done it already now you can see now that the the the headlines are
00:17:39.640 absolutely clear especially in the financial press of what is going to happen now over the next few
00:17:45.540 years speak to philip patrick and his team text bannon b-a-double-n-o-n to 989898 or go to
00:17:54.500 birchgold.com forward stroke bannon once again birchgold all one word birchgold.com forward
00:18:01.320 stroke bannon because um as they say if you're hoping that it's all peter's dan without having
00:18:10.860 any negative consequence on your savings hope is not a strategy all right okay jenny holland um
00:18:19.660 some good news now coming out of oregon um a christian widow a mother a widow who had five
00:18:29.660 children of her own put up for wanted the license to be able to adopt and i'm guessing she answered
00:18:37.020 the questionnaire that had asked certain questions like would you encourage your children to to
00:18:42.380 transition would you take them to gay pride uh marches all of which she quite correctly and 0.77
00:18:49.300 courageously said no and oregon turned around said well in that case we're not going to put out any
00:18:54.840 children to you and she took the state of oregon to court um i think there was an intervening
00:19:04.200 district court judgment that in her favor now my reading of this journey is that this it didn't
00:19:11.420 this has resolved i i it appears to me in some kind of court supervised out of court settlement
00:19:20.660 that is i don't think the judge formally ruled i don't think it was pushed for for the judge to
00:19:26.860 formally rule in her favor um which would have set the judicial precedent um which would have
00:19:34.260 been useful oregon backed down this is my reading of this oregon had backed down before that took
00:19:39.900 place um and and they're backing down even agreeing to paying all of her legal fees
00:19:47.600 is is only to her it is a concession only to her and not to all christian parents on this situation
00:19:55.900 But I know, Jenny, you're following this quite a lot. It's still good news, right? It's still something that can be built on in the future when Christian parents, actively Christian, are being turned away from adoption because of the coherence to the faith.
00:20:14.460 It's not, the state doesn't have a lockdown on this, on the inevitability.
00:20:18.600 Yeah. Well, before we get into the details of the specific foster mother or prospective adoptive mother in Oregon, it's important to note that the Trump administration has really put its shoulder to the wheel on this case specifically.
00:20:36.900 And last September, in September 2025, one of the undersecretaries or deputy secretaries of the Administration for Children and Families, so part of the DHS, the Trump administration's DHS, sorry, DHS, Health and Human Services,
00:20:56.940 wrote to Oregon notifying it that it would begin an investigation into its policies of not letting basically Christian parents adopt and foster children in need
00:21:12.500 because of their refusal to uphold their respect, accept, and support sort of doctrine,
00:21:21.000 which included gender ideology and sexual orientation, as well as socioeconomic status
00:21:27.220 and race and spiritual beliefs, the whole bundle of woke identitarianism.
00:21:35.100 So Oregon was notified last year that it would be under investigation because of this policy.
00:21:41.220 It was told explicitly that millions of dollars of federal funding were on the line, and this was triggered by this woman's case specifically.
00:21:52.620 And yes, as you said, she's a widow with five children who wanted to adopt two children under nine.
00:22:00.200 And when asked about, as a hypothetical, would she agree to give children gender-affirming drugs, i.e. puberty blockers, medication that has been shown to sterilize young teens, essentially.
00:22:18.060 and would she sort of encourage them in their delusions that they were born in the wrong body, as they like to say,
00:22:27.600 and did she support the LGBTQ plus agenda?
00:22:32.000 She, according to her conscience, said no.
00:22:36.000 So I read it differently, actually, and I think it might still be unclear as to whether or not this applies just to her
00:22:47.160 or to all prospective parents, adoptive parents in Oregon.
00:22:52.560 I have read that it is, the whole clause is to be taken out
00:22:57.100 involving all the identities, including the gender dysphoria identity.
00:23:03.040 But I think that's something that needs to be kept an eye on
00:23:05.920 because it's not, I don't know if it's exactly clear yet.
00:23:10.040 But so it was absolutely a win for her.
00:23:12.480 Of course, the state of Oregon still has a carve out
00:23:15.080 in which it can still match parents to children who have gender dysphoria, so they can still
00:23:22.900 choose, select a gender-affirming family over a gender realism family, and so there's plenty
00:23:31.820 of workarounds, but it's really, really, really important to note for this audience in particular,
00:23:37.520 how many weeks are we away from the midterms? This is precisely the kind of thing, the kind
00:23:44.880 of incredibly important issue in which the Trump administration has absolutely moved the needle
00:23:52.560 and is really the only game in town. There is no alternative. And I will say this until I'm blue
00:23:59.140 in the face. I will go down with any ship on this because there is no one else coming to save us
00:24:05.280 other than this administration. So if you care about children having their lives destroyed
00:24:12.040 by deranged zealot social workers who believe that sterilizing children is a medical cure
00:24:20.100 for some made-up mental condition, then you really need to go out there in the midterms
00:24:29.600 and support your local Republican candidates.
00:24:32.100 Sorry to turn this into a party political platform.
00:24:35.680 No, no, no, Jenny.
00:24:36.400 No, you took away the point I had actually wanted to make on this,
00:24:42.760 and I haven't really got time to come up with a different point.
00:24:46.260 But that is absolutely it.
00:24:47.500 No, no, the point is absolutely it.
00:24:50.380 That's why the midterms are so important.
00:24:53.260 And everybody, right, I'm sure the four of us, everyone at home,
00:24:58.900 we all have things, pet bugbears,
00:25:02.160 that this administration has done that we really think it ought not have done.
00:25:05.980 um but when push comes to shove as you illustrate here that is why it's so important um the the
00:25:14.200 are so important can i just say i will add to what you said quickly yeah sorry yeah yeah of course
00:25:20.220 let me say this and then i'll give you the closing minute um this is how but this this is
00:25:27.800 the illustration of of how badly your elites hate you that as the alliance defending freedom which
00:25:35.120 was the organization that represented this mother and Jessica Bates pointed out in its statement
00:25:41.580 Oregon's dangerous gender ideology to young kids um about forcing them to take parents to take them 0.77
00:25:49.480 to parades um when Christians parents refuse to that that's that the state considers them unfit
00:25:58.700 to be parents that is the blowout point here right the state of oregon considers believing
00:26:05.580 christians fundamentally to be unfit parents look you've got 45 seconds the and it's not just
00:26:11.880 christians there was a case in oregon in 2024 where a 15 year old was taken from custody from
00:26:17.880 her parents home because her mother showed her videos arguing against gender ideology
00:26:23.720 The girl's therapist reported her to the social services, and the following day, upon this action of the therapist, the child was removed from the custody of the parents and has not been returned to their custody.
00:26:38.660 This is an incredibly serious issue.
00:26:42.000 No state is safe.
00:26:43.440 These similar things have happened in Montana and red states.
00:26:46.060 And really, the only party, the only political movement sticking up for parents' rights is MAGA.
00:26:56.300 Back with Jenny Holland and Frank Walker in two minutes after this quick commercial break.
00:27:00.880 We're a couple of months out, but the midterms are fast approaching.
00:27:05.440 And make no mistake, if the House flips to the Democrats, it's a big deal for our economy.
00:27:12.240 That uncertainty is one of the reasons to diversify with gold from Birch Gold Group.
00:27:18.100 In the three months leading up to the 2024 presidential election, the spot price of gold jumped over 12 percent.
00:27:24.820 Now, why was that? Because we've taught you here on the show, it's a hedge against times of uncertainty.
00:27:32.780 If you don't own gold, I would suggest talking to Birch Gold Group, Philip Patrick and the team.
00:27:38.840 They'll discuss your goals, explain how precious metals can fit into your savings.
00:27:43.640 They can even help you convert an existing IRA or 401k into an IRA in gold with no additional money out of your pocket.
00:27:53.760 Easiest way to do this is text my name, Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N, to the number 989898.

00:31:47.380 app now sign up for free and be part of the movement welcome back um we've been holding
00:31:55.680 on to this piece that we wanted to hit last week with frank um but the time we we if you remember
00:32:02.740 we swallowed the whole of the um the first half half of the show on a separate story the daily
00:32:08.720 telegraph in the uk which is normally i suppose this is the case of the mask slipping the daily
00:32:15.520 telegraph is normally quite a reliable um anti-woke newspaper jenny i'm sure you'll agree in as far as
00:32:23.280 you can talk about any british main exemplar of the mainstream press in the uk as being um
00:32:31.680 anti-woke the telegraph would would traditionally have always held that that that that role
00:32:38.720 They have an article, however, you know, let's put this in the category of the mask slips.
00:32:44.260 They have this article out, Pearl Clutching, saying that the far right is seizing on Christianity for moral cover.
00:32:56.160 And it's a deconstruction as far as they attempt to do that, specifically picking on Tommy Robinson and the carol service that he did.
00:33:08.720 in the uk frank walker um you know something that we try whenever we can on the war room which is
00:33:19.840 to nudge the debate towards certainly believing christians both evangelicals and catholics who
00:33:27.460 follow this show to nudge them as we can towards the um christian nationalist movement um that's
00:33:37.900 the movement that's in the crosshairs of the the uk mainstream media and it's pretty clear
00:33:44.860 that the type of you know when they were the opening of the article frank walker is that the
00:33:50.920 misty-eyed references to the carol services that take place 50 000 or so of them um each year in
00:33:58.080 the in the uk that's what they want they want carol services mince pies um and they basically want
00:34:05.040 a cultural christianity where the rubber never hits the road and the idea of someone like
00:34:14.320 tommy robinson who by all accounts had some conversion or reversion public conversion
00:34:23.240 experience in prison when he was put in prison for a year and a half by the way by the way for
00:34:28.680 contempt of court i hope you see my my my scare quotes on that contempt of court they put tommy
00:34:34.520 robinson in prison for i think on an 18 month sentence that time and they tried to shut him
00:34:40.620 down before by sending him to prison and this time um he uh was clearly preached to heard the gospel
00:34:51.080 and was converted and he said he says in the organization of the carol service um last
00:35:00.180 christmas it wasn't a political event he didn't want it to be a political event he wanted it to
00:35:04.220 be a christian event well of course the reason being uh quite correctly is that tommy robinson
00:35:10.260 and he was sincere in that i think he he kept the politics out of it but he realizes that for
00:35:15.480 um as few people in the uk do realize he realizes now that the successful defense of the uk has a
00:35:24.080 spiritual that is a religious dimension to it and part of that therefore when our opposition
00:35:31.260 our religious opposition, Islam, clearly knows that it is fighting a religious war and understands what it's about. 0.93
00:35:38.580 Tommy Robinson realises, well, if we're going to have a chance of fighting back, 0.99
00:35:43.380 we also need to realise on our side what this is about.
00:35:47.820 And that's obviously what the regime doesn't want people to be thinking about.
00:35:52.560 Frank Walker, break down, if you wouldn't mind, the arguments in the UK press on this one
00:35:57.000 against tommy robinson and christian nationalism and the the use of christian imagery um in the
00:36:06.740 defense of christendom i remember when they were putting tommy robinson in jail and he looked
00:36:13.620 terrified for his life so i'm not surprised he had a conversion experience he's one of the most
00:36:19.100 hard-hitting people on X. His tweets are fantastic. So I think he's a brilliant leader
00:36:27.280 for this cause. And this piece here at the Holy Telegraph, the first person, Reverend Helen
00:36:36.360 Painter, she paints him as being sincere. And he did have a small rally, a Christian rally that was
00:36:43.880 not supposed to be religious, but it's grown. It's taken on a movement, and people responded
00:36:50.660 to it. So in a sincere love for the Christian religion, the followers of Tommy Robinson have
00:36:57.500 come together, and the most interesting thing that they mention is that they, and when you
00:37:01.880 see them at their rallies, they wear paramilitary-style uniforms and big crosses around their necks.
00:37:07.560 So they don't have a huge sense of Christian doctrine or Christian training, but they're sort of acting on instinct.
00:37:17.320 And the fascinating thing to me here is that they've been deprived of this, this aspect, this militant aspect of Catholic faith and manly love for your country and for your family and for your neighborhood and the people that you love.
00:37:35.880 this has been erased from the race of the human race. It's been taken away. And you can see that
00:37:41.980 in the response of the so-called experts, Tommy Robinson. Some of them say they sneer at him.
00:37:49.480 Some of them say, well, he's just ignorant or he's just political. And this has been going on 0.99
00:37:54.280 for a long, long time. But when they finally get to the right reverend, Rose Hudson Wilkin,
00:38:02.100 the Bishop of Dover, she really is angry. She's like, how many of them go to church and worship?
00:38:08.280 How many of them have the guts to shout loudly that the Lord has risen? So the institutional
00:38:13.640 church, and they're like, they don't even go to church. The institutional church is the enemy
00:38:18.500 of Tavi Robinson and these crusaders, this crusader aspect, this manly love of country,
00:38:25.640 This this idea of sacrifice is manifesting in the UK.
00:38:30.120 I know I know, you know, Ben, you're a Brit and Jen, you're in Northern Ireland.
00:38:34.580 You live this every day. You see how it's happening.
00:38:37.640 These these people want to defend their their God.
00:38:41.760 You know, we have a right to God. We have a right to religion.
00:38:44.700 They sneer at him as being using his religion as a as this some some kind of fake thing, just giving them cover.
00:38:50.880 But it's something that he truly believes.
00:38:53.260 And the people that are following him, they believe in Christianity, they want to follow, but they have no church.
00:38:59.060 You know, it reminds me of St. Joan of Arc.
00:39:01.220 She had her men go to confession every morning before they would go and fight.
00:39:06.480 And she was victorious that way through the sacraments and the love of a church.
00:39:11.680 And that's exactly what these men need.
00:39:14.580 They're ready to fight.
00:39:15.480 They just need actual, I'd say, actual Catholics in there praying with them and priests praying with them and giving them the sacraments and forgiving their sins. 0.89
00:39:25.840 And they'll be like, OK, I'm ready to take care of business because I know I'm going to go to heaven. 0.96
00:39:30.560 That's the kind of thing that's really missing.
00:39:34.340 So you've got these Carol concerts as the Daily Telegraph.
00:39:38.920 I think you called it the Holy Telegraph, which is quite cute in your analysis.
00:39:44.480 You've got the thousand or so, 20-year-old men in balaclavas
00:39:49.400 and paramilitary uniforms and crosses around their neck out there
00:39:53.540 singing Once in Royal David City and all the rest of it.
00:39:57.680 Tell me something.
00:39:58.300 Do you get in the States, do you get the Vicar of Dibley?
00:40:01.100 Do you know who the Vicar of Dibley is?
00:40:02.860 Is that something you get on television?
00:40:04.780 All right.
00:40:05.540 No, I'm good with that.
00:40:07.000 I won't.
00:40:08.440 Then you're blessed for that if you don't get that.
00:40:11.760 um and then that'll save me from from the anecdote i was going to give i'll just say this to jenny
00:40:17.180 you tell me jenny i don't think whether these 20 year old power sort of pseudo power militaries
00:40:22.800 in balaclavas are going to be converted by dawn french type uh bishops um with the bishop
00:40:32.540 the bid the bishopesses that's just that's not that's that she's sort of hiding to nothing there
00:40:39.340 That's not going to do the trick. This is the problem with the Church of England, the Anglican Highling Shepherds and Catholic Highling Shepherds for the last 50 or 60 years, having abandoned Christian doctrine in the public square and substituted it for pseudo-Marxist platitudes, people have just switched off.
00:41:00.220 And when you get to the second or third generation of Brits who have no experience of Christianity whatsoever, as Frank was saying, they might not be formed in Christian theology, but they sure as hell know what it's not.
00:41:14.580 and they see the pretense fake highling shepherds
00:41:18.740 and they dismiss them without them even opening their minds
00:41:22.900 because they've already said,
00:41:25.860 we might not have a background or tradition in our family
00:41:28.980 of going to Mass every Sunday.
00:41:32.220 We'd like that.
00:41:33.180 We'd like to become that.
00:41:34.400 We're on the path towards that.
00:41:36.060 But you guys, it's fine for religious figures,
00:41:42.600 for institutional religious figures.
00:41:44.580 to enter politics using Christian imagery.
00:41:47.600 It's not fine for the laity to do the same, right? 0.77
00:41:50.940 All right, quick shout-out, because we're coming on to Padre Pia now.

00:43:39.700 Okay, so Jenny Holland, as we round out the show with you, September the 23rd this year is, as it is every year, the liturgical feast day of Padre Pio.
00:43:54.080 And I say this to our Protestant brothers and sisters who are following the show today, in the Catholic world, in the Catholic sphere, Padre Pio is so well known, even though he has now been canonized as Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, he's simply known still to this day as Padre Pio, or even among certain old Italians as Saint Padre Pio.
00:44:24.080 Um, Jenny Holland, um, tell us a bit, look, tell us a bit about Padre Pio.
00:44:30.900 And I will just tell you my favorite miracle of his when he was still alive.
00:44:36.200 A young girl called Gemma, Italian girl, was born blind with no, no pupils, no, no pupils in her eyes.
00:44:44.640 Congenital born blind, right?
00:44:46.540 I think she was like seven or eight years of age.
00:44:49.160 Her parents took her to Padre Pio to pray for her.
00:44:54.600 And I think on the train back, she started to detect some shades of light on her eyes.
00:45:00.640 And within a few days, she could see perfectly clearly.
00:45:06.800 And I say this is a miracle, and I think she's alive.
00:45:10.620 And I think she became a religious nun as well.
00:45:13.860 But to this day, or to the day, if she's no longer with us,
00:45:19.380 for the rest of her life, she could see perfectly clearly
00:45:23.400 after the interaction with Padre Pio.
00:45:25.900 And she never had ever pupils in her eyes.
00:45:29.940 Not before, not afterwards.
00:45:32.320 There are many, Padre Pio has a life full of those type anecdotes.
00:45:40.160 Just tell us very quickly in the final five minutes,
00:45:43.320 And I say this, I do have a personal devotion to Padre de Pio.
00:45:48.000 Tell us a bit, if you wouldn't mind, for our Protestant brothers and sisters, just a little bit about this great Italian Capuchin saint.
00:46:00.400 Well, you know, I don't think that I'm the person best placed to give the ins and outs of his biography.
00:46:07.080 Obviously, you and Frank would be better placed for that.
00:46:09.340 But any Catholic audience member would be able to do a better job than me.
00:46:17.020 But what I will say about Padre Pio is this, even in my own heathen upbringing as a very secular child of liberal lefty bohemians, Padre Pio had penetrated my consciousness because in Ireland he was a hugely beloved figure.
00:46:36.460 So friends who had very traditional Catholic parents, they would have Padre Pio stickers on their cars and images of him in the home and stuff like that.
00:46:45.220 And this interesting piece, again, marking his Saints Day, gives a lot of background into just the extraordinary phenomena that surrounded him, starting out, I mean, he was from a very, very humble peasant family, early 20th century, late 19th, early 20th century childhood.
00:47:07.060 He served in World War I and had suffered these sort of mysterious maladies as he was training, entering into the Capuchin order.
00:47:18.780 He was a Capuchin, eventually became a Capuchin friar.
00:47:22.740 And, you know, he he he was plagued by these sort of mysterious medical problems.
00:47:29.780 In fact, the article says it is almost as if someone or a force did not want him to join a religious order.
00:47:37.720 He then also got the stigmata and he he had these wounds, the hands, feet and inside wounds of the stigmata, I think, throughout his life.
00:47:49.140 Correct me if I'm wrong.
00:47:50.000 Um, and, you know, this scenario where we had, you know, medicine and doctors and, and nothing could ever really be fully explained, um, in any, in any material, uh, with any material explanation.
00:48:01.760 Now, I think what matters to today, to 2026, given all the things, the topics we've covered today, the Oregon social workers, the Church of England sneering at the religious devotion of young militant working class men.
00:48:21.160 And, you know, one of the most confounding and exceptional things about Catholicism in particular is that its sense of mystery and its miracles and also the idea of suffering.
00:48:39.900 This is the most sort of jarring part. For me personally, when I read about early Christianity specifically, I struggle with how this facet, which is foundational, it's not an element, it is the foundation of the Christian story as a whole, the suffering, not just of Jesus, but of his followers, and how this fits into the modern world, where our physical reality is incredibly comfortable.
00:49:09.100 Obviously, our moral, our spiritual, our emotional, our psychological condition is quite poor.
00:49:16.420 But as a whole, we have running water, we have central heating, we have comfortable clothes, we mostly have enough to eat.
00:49:23.480 We are not being put through the torments of the early saints.
00:49:28.760 And Padre Pio has a lot of the—I mean, obviously not to the extent of some of the really early Christians, but he suffered throughout his life.
00:49:36.780 This is the thing that certainly the Christian hierarchy, both Catholic and Anglican, has completely lost, this idea of suffering for your faith.
00:49:47.220 I personally don't know how to process that.
00:49:52.000 Both of you are in a better place to give your thoughts on that.
00:49:55.100 But that idea actually has, I think, growing appeal, especially amongst young men, people like Tommy Robinson, who is very much has the makings of a martyr.
00:50:07.840 Unfortunately, I hate to say that because I don't want him to suffer.
00:50:11.780 But, you know, he has he has suffered truly for his his beliefs in his in his nation.
00:50:17.880 He's a prison. He had to go into isolation because he was in danger from the rest of the prison population.
00:50:23.920 And he has endured these torments, but most of us haven't. I don't know how to, I don't know how this fits with our normal topics of conversation on this show, because in, you know, but I do know that the, that hard element, the hard Christianity, the hard line, the hard sort of manly, as Frank was saying, 0.59
00:50:53.920 defense of the realm, defense of the nation, defense of the family, that is growing in urgency
00:51:00.240 and importance, whilst at the same time, the hierarchy, both the Vatican, as we said with
00:51:06.740 the National Invaders Week, I love your phrase, I'm going to use it, and the Anglican, everything
00:51:13.860 they do, they are growing further away, they are growing softer, they are growing more spoiled,
00:51:19.440 They are growing more detached from Christian teaching, even as I understand them.
00:51:24.940 And this is going to come to a head eventually.
00:51:28.920 Jenny, I'll tell you how I answer it, how Padre de Peo integrates into the normal narrative of this.
00:51:36.960 We're in a spiritual war.
00:51:39.040 And the very fullness of the traditional Catholic faith, I think, illustrated its truth here in this world
00:51:47.140 through the visible, miraculous
00:51:49.760 intercessions of Padre de Pio.
00:51:52.120 Look, very, very quickly,
00:51:54.100 10 seconds each, Jenny, social media.
