WarRoom Battleground EP 145: Child Filmed Touching Grown Man In Drag At Chattanooga Brewery: Local Authorities Do Nothing; MOm's ARe Flipping School Boards Across The Country
In this episode, Moms for Liberty takes on the controversial topic of pornography in public school libraries and why it should be allowed in public schools. Plus, a new book about women in STEM and technology, Girls Who Code, is being challenged by a Pennsylvania school district.
00:00:37.000What they're doing is blowing people off.
00:00:40.000If you continue to look the other way and shut up, then the oppressors, the authoritarians, get total control and total power.
00:00:48.000Because this is just like in Arizona. This is just like in Georgia.
00:00:51.000It's another element that backs them into a quarter and shows their lies and misrepresentations.
00:00:56.000This is why this audience is going to have to get engaged. As we've told you, this is the fight.
00:01:00.000All this nonsense, all this spin, they can't handle the truth.
00:01:04.000War Room, Battleground. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:01:10.000Okay, welcome to the Battleground. It's Monday, 26 September, the year of our Lord, 2022.
00:01:15.000Let's go back to Tiffany, Justice, Monster, Liberty.
00:01:19.000We're going to want you to talk about the pledge one more time before you take off.
00:01:24.000But this library controversy walk us through.
00:01:27.000I think it was a Newsweek or also a couple of tweets or are Moms for Liberty trying to ban books?
00:01:34.000Are they just trying to get rid of pornography that's in school? Right.
00:01:38.000I think that's the controversy that make it seem like you're trying to get rid of Little House on the Prairie in the Diary of Anne Frank and books like that.
00:01:46.000That's not the case, though, is it, ma'am?
00:01:49.000No, but that's how we know the progressive far left is losing, because they're lying and losers need to lie in order to try to win.
00:01:55.000They need to cheat. And so they're lying about this book issue.
00:02:00.000The truth is that our moms across the country have gotten up at school board meetings and have read from books that I couldn't show on your show right now.
00:02:08.000I couldn't even read from them. And the mics have been cut off at the school board meetings.
00:02:12.000There is obscene sexual content in a lot of these books.
00:02:16.000And the moms have worked very methodically to identify the books that were in their school libraries,
00:02:21.000to make sure that those books violated state statute or federal obscenity laws,
00:02:25.000and then to work with the district to find a review process for the books,
00:02:30.000and then to ultimately remove the books if they're deemed inappropriate to be on a public school library shelf.
00:02:36.000There's a limited amount of room on a public school library shelf.
00:02:39.000And I would just like to remind viewers, we curate all kinds of information in schools, including Internet access.
00:02:45.000It is not unfettered. People, kids can't go to any Internet site they want.
00:02:51.000And they certainly can't have Penthouse and Hustler in public school libraries.
00:02:55.000So there's this author who wrote a book called Girls Who Code.
00:02:59.000And apparently there have been some districts, I guess, that Pen America,
00:03:03.000this group who says that they fight at the intersection of literature and human rights,
00:03:07.000they put out this giant list. And last week, almost every major media outlet talked about this list.
00:03:13.000What we are finding out more and more every day, Steve, is the fact that a lot of the books
00:03:18.000and a lot of the things that were said on this list are untrue and nobody checked it.
00:03:23.000So this weekend, last night, we see that this woman who wrote a book called Girls Who Code
00:03:28.000about girls getting into STEM and engineering, science, technology.
00:03:33.000She said that a York County, Pennsylvania chapter of Moms for Liberty had pushed to have her book removed.
00:03:39.000That was a lie, a complete lie. And so this morning we reached out to our chapter chair in York County.
00:03:45.000She's a brave, awesome mom. And within 30 minutes, we fact checked this claim.
00:03:50.000And we had a statement from the school district that said that, in fact, these books were on the library shelves.
00:03:55.000So apparently when your book sales are low, you need to create a scandal in order to increase book sales.
00:04:00.000I'm not sure who to be more disappointed in, whether it's the author who turned this into some attack on women
00:04:07.000while attacking an organization that it was founded by and supports women or the media,
00:04:13.000who apparently can't even be bothered to call a school district and fact check information that they're being fed.
00:04:19.000You know, I think they think defenseless moms are an easy scapegoat, honestly.
00:04:24.000And what they don't understand is that is this is exactly why moms flock to us in the first place,
00:04:29.000because eventually when the media or some opportunist turns on them, we will be standing beside them.
00:04:35.000A hundred thousand members strong. We won't be your scapegoat,
00:04:40.000can America or liars from the liberal left. We will tell the uncomfortable truth.
00:04:46.000And the truth is right now, you can't trust the media. So at Moms for Liberty, we stand for truth.
00:04:50.000And if you ever have any questions about the work our moms do, I reach out.
00:04:54.000I say reach out to me and I'll fact check it for you.
00:04:59.000Tiffany, how do people get to Moms for Liberty in particular?
00:05:02.000I know your site, you've got this thing about the girls who code and all this fiasco that happened over the weekend of the truth.
