00:00:00.000 This is what you're fighting for.
00:00:28.440 I mean, every day you're out there.
00:00:31.560 What they're doing is blowing people off.
00:00:35.260 If you continue to look the other way and shut up, then the oppressors, the authoritarians
00:00:39.940 get total control and total power.
00:00:43.300 Because this is just like in Arizona.
00:00:44.740 This is just like in Georgia.
00:00:45.980 It's another element that backs them into a quarter and shows their lies and misrepresentations.
00:00:50.380 This is why this audience is going to have to get engaged.
00:00:53.120 As we've told you, this is the fight.
00:00:55.300 All this nonsense, all this spin, they can't handle the truth.
00:00:59.180 War Room, Battleground.
00:01:01.020 Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:01:03.300 ...stands or sort of the state of Carrie Lake's disinformation as she stands, still a very,
00:01:09.180 very decent chant, and she's very much still in this.
00:01:12.300 Right.
00:01:13.300 When Tim was actually here at the Tabulation Center with me yesterday, I know that he could
00:01:17.960 feel the tension that was in the room.
00:01:20.300 He could feel the tension that was in the room.
00:01:22.180 And largely that was because, you know, you have the likes of Chairman Bill Gates.
00:01:25.360 You have Recorder Richer here.
00:01:26.820 These are the elections folks here who have overseen these elections, fair, accurate ones,
00:01:32.960 not only in 2020, but now here.
00:01:34.860 They have been at the center of threats.
00:01:37.220 They have been at the center of harassment.
00:01:39.500 They have been at the epicenter of everything that Trumpism, Donald Trump and his allies
00:01:45.060 leaving phone calls and voicemails for him to pressure them to help overturn the 2020 election.
00:01:49.620 And now, yet again, they're at the center of this.
00:01:51.640 And that is where, when we were in the room yesterday, I think there was some tension and
00:01:55.420 frustration over the slow release of the ballots.
00:01:58.740 Well, understandable.
00:01:59.420 And there's no reason to suggest that it is for nothing other than to make sure that
00:02:03.840 it's secure and that each of the mail ballots were, in fact, sent in by individuals who go
00:02:08.480 by the name on that ballot.
00:02:10.220 But what happens as a result is exactly what you guys were speaking about, is when you have
00:02:14.400 that open space and that open air, it's folks like Cary Lake that go and fill that void there
00:02:19.580 that call into question, why is this slow walking?
00:02:22.260 Why is this taking place?
00:02:23.580 Mark Fincham, I don't urge people to go to his Twitter account, but my goodness, every hour
00:02:28.780 you come up with a new conspiracy theory, his latest this hour, was suggesting that why
00:02:32.900 does the Republican state treasurer candidate, Kimberly Yee, have 215,000 more votes than
00:02:38.120 any of the statewide candidates?
00:02:39.340 Well, I can tell you, as somebody who has been covering Kimberly Yee for years, that she's
00:02:43.740 walked much more of a straight line, Doug Ducey-type conservative role here.
00:02:47.680 And it wouldn't surprise most folks who have covered here politics.
00:02:50.140 But for Mark Fincham, he goes and tells his hundreds of thousands of followers who are following
00:02:55.020 him on, whether it be Twitter or far-right elements of the internet, that there's a conspiracy
00:03:00.340 and that the folks here behind me who are simply going and adjudicating and making sure
00:03:04.580 that these ballots are legitimate, and this nice woman here who is putting in the ballots
00:03:08.300 into the tabulation machine, are some part of a conspiracy.
00:03:11.360 And there is nothing to suggest that.
00:03:12.860 And that is where the hope is, at some point here, that we are able to close that void there.
00:03:18.180 Because in the meanwhile, it's these folks who are creating these conspiracy theories as
00:03:22.000 we speak.
00:03:22.920 Vaughn, I know you're getting pulled, but let me just ask you one question.
00:03:26.100 You know, these are the same people who had eternal patience for the fraud-it, you know,
00:03:30.280 the, what were they called, cyber ninjas, took weeks and months.
00:03:35.040 They were Trump's allies.
00:03:35.860 They were from Florida.
00:03:36.780 They had no experience.
00:03:38.100 They weren't from Arizona.
00:03:39.340 They had lots of patience for that.
00:03:40.960 I want to, if you could just, for our viewers who are not hostage to any of the disinformation,
00:03:45.880 but just explain what the process is.
00:03:47.640 What exactly are election officials doing?
00:03:50.060 What does the count look like?
00:03:52.860 Yeah.
00:03:53.440 Also, to give you an idea here, it was this last state legislature that came within one
00:03:57.420 vote of arresting the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors because they refused to turn
00:04:02.160 over the ballots to the gang that was completing that so-called audit here.
00:04:06.980 But the process that is underway here, number one, their signature verification process.
00:04:11.320 So all these mail ballots, especially, that was 290,000 that were dropped off in person.
00:04:16.540 They are going and comparing the signatures on the envelopes of the individuals who, those
00:04:21.300 voters who signed those envelopes.
00:04:22.580 They are then going against, whether it be the DMV database, whatever signature they have
00:04:26.480 on file to confirm that that signature matches the one that is within the state records here.
00:04:31.520 We've also got the adjudication board, these folks here.
00:04:33.860 You've got a Republican and Democrat.
00:04:35.360 So if there is something wrong, there's a fold in the ballot, a spill, ink that goes outside
00:04:39.700 of the lines.
00:04:40.600 A Republican and a Democrat are going ballot by ballot to go and confirm what, that these
00:04:46.100 ballots are legitimate and what the intent was.
00:04:49.180 There's also the curing.
00:04:52.260 Okay.
00:04:52.780 Welcome.
00:04:53.540 We're in battleground Friday, 11th, November, the year of order, 2022.
00:04:58.100 Armistice day in Europe, veterans day here in the, in the United States.
00:05:03.060 Want to welcome and have everybody, all the veterans, a hat tip to all of you guys.
00:05:12.120 Hat tip to maybe get Captain Bannon on, maybe in the second part of the show, talk about
00:05:16.140 veterans day with her.
00:05:17.120 Uh, we got a lot to go through.
00:05:19.040 I got Joe Cannon in a minute.
00:05:20.480 I want to play another cold open for Joe.
00:05:22.060 So if he can just hang on it, he's going to give us an update, uh, which is going to
00:05:25.820 infuriate a lot of this audience, but we got a cold open for Joe that I also want to talk
00:05:30.440 about, about this huge fight for leadership.
00:05:32.600 So much going on right now, but I want to bring in the political director for Carrie
00:05:35.920 Lake's team, um, the Brady Smith, uh, Brady, uh, thank you very much for joining us.
00:05:41.200 I want to play that clip.
00:05:42.460 We actually played it in the, in the previous hour because they make it seem like, um,
00:05:47.120 uh, you know, you guys are instigators, you guys are insurrectionists, you guys are domestic
00:05:52.620 terrorists.
00:05:53.400 What is, what is really going on here?
00:05:56.020 What, what do you guys just want an accurate count?
00:05:59.240 Um, but I think you'd like things sped up, correct?
00:06:04.020 Thanks for having me on Steve.
00:06:05.560 Yeah, absolutely.
00:06:06.840 We are just wanting all legal votes to be counted in this race.
00:06:11.980 It's, it's crucial that, that we do this and make sure that all legal votes were counted.
00:06:16.820 Uh, you know, this, this pace is slower than we were anticipating.
00:06:20.720 Originally, we were told the same day drop-offs in Maricopa County, we're going to be coming
00:06:25.360 in, uh, as early as Thursday, potentially as early as Wednesday.
00:06:29.620 And now here we are, uh, sitting on Friday and, and the Maricopa County recorder's office
00:06:35.700 is having a press conference.
00:06:37.360 Currently I'm sitting in the Carrie Lake war room right now.
00:06:40.500 We're watching it unfold.
00:06:41.760 Um, and they are saying that there is going to be a drop tonight that will contain some
00:06:46.360 of those same day drop-off votes, uh, that will be very favorable to Carrie Lake.
00:06:50.820 They say that's going to be the majority of the drop, as well as, uh, the 17,000 door
00:06:56.700 three votes, um, that have been largely in question and that there are questions still
00:07:00.780 swirling around, but our campaign is just wanting every legal vote to be counted.
00:07:06.240 And that's what we're committed to having happen.
00:07:12.200 I want to get Joe Kent in here in a second.
00:07:14.340 I want to hold you.
00:07:15.020 And by the way, if we can see, if we can watch on the live stream, the, uh, press conference,
00:07:19.240 maybe we could pick that up and bring it up.
00:07:21.220 Let's play.
00:07:21.680 I want to play it.
00:07:22.280 Brady, just hang on right there.
00:07:23.360 Political director for a Carrie Lake.
00:07:25.540 We got a lot more questions to ask him as a press conference going on in Maricopa County.
00:07:28.800 There are a lot of moving pieces all over the nation.
00:07:31.540 Um, Joe Kent, uh, let me get, bring in Joe first.
00:07:34.620 I want to ask him a couple of questions and then I'll go to the cold open Joe.
00:07:38.020 Uh, we've heard some news today that yours is actually going slower than we thought.
00:07:43.260 Correct me if I'm wrong.
00:07:44.440 Um, is, am I hearing now that we're not going to get a drop anymore today in, in Washington
00:07:51.100 three, we're not going to get one tomorrow, Saturday, we're not going to get one Sunday
00:07:55.180 and we're not going to get one Monday until 6 PM Pacific standard time.
00:08:00.460 Am I correct in that?
00:08:02.960 Well, we just got a small drop actually right after I texted you that news.
00:08:07.120 We got a small drop from Cowliffe County.
00:08:09.280 Uh, I am now only down by 1.93%.
00:08:12.400 We took 57.5% of the last drop.
00:08:15.680 It was less than 5,000 votes since they dropped.
00:08:17.440 Um, but it helps.
00:08:18.720 Um, we think there may be another drop coming tonight of 20 K coming from the county.
00:08:23.740 Now the secretary of state, they did take the holiday off and they're not going to report
00:08:27.360 anything until Monday.
00:08:29.040 So we're, you're correct in that we may get Clark County might, um, go ahead and report
00:08:34.000 on their own website tonight, but that's the status right now.
00:08:36.980 There's still 50,000 votes out there.
00:08:38.840 So hopefully they actually dropped 20,000 tonight and we'll have a little bit more clarity.
00:08:42.600 So we're only down right now by 5,000 votes.
00:08:47.660 And, and by the way, you've cut this thing dramatically over the last couple of days.
00:08:51.260 We had Alex de Grasse on the last hour and there, I think in the, in the team, Elise and
00:08:56.900 the NRCC, they're actually counting you as a, as a win, um, on the 20,000 that come in
00:09:02.340 tonight, tell our audience where the, where is that coming from?
00:09:05.920 Um, and, and do you consider a break of a 57% to be a possibility or 55, 45?
00:09:12.580 Uh, we're hoping to take, you know, 56, 57% of that.
00:09:16.240 Now that's Clark County.
00:09:17.100 That's our urban hub, uh, Vancouver.
00:09:19.040 There's also some rural parts of Clark County as well.
00:09:21.460 We believe this is mostly going to be game day voters.
00:09:24.520 So, you know, fingers crossed, knock on wood, that this should trend heavily towards us.
00:09:28.940 Um, but you know, we'll, we'll stand by and see what happens.
00:09:31.520 Ballot curing is going to be really key.
00:09:32.940 Ballot curing and walk people through that process.
00:09:37.560 What, what's this process called ballot curing?
00:09:41.060 Yeah, absolutely.
00:09:42.000 People need to go to, uh, all my social media, Joe Kent, uh, one, one nine, or go to wavote.gov
00:09:49.580 and check the status of your ballot.
00:09:51.960 If it doesn't say accepted and it says rejected, then you need to go down to the County Auditor's
00:09:57.520 office, present ID, and you can get your ballot sorted out right there.
00:10:01.420 Don't wait for them to contact you because they may drag their feet on that process.
00:10:04.900 So all my social media has that.
00:10:06.600 If people have any questions, they can get ahold of us and we'll talk them through.
00:10:09.080 We can give them a ride down to the County Auditor's office if they need.
00:10:13.740 So it looks like a 20,000, um, ballot drop tonight.
00:10:17.500 You're at 1.93% behind.
00:10:19.680 You've been as high as I think almost five and a half, 5.6, 5.7.
00:10:23.620 This has been dropping pretty dramatically.
00:10:25.320 You're under 5,000 votes difference between you and your opponent.
00:10:29.740 That's right.
00:10:30.280 Steve, like right at 5,000 is the difference between us 1.1 and 1.93.
00:10:34.340 So under 2%.
00:10:35.040 So we're, we're definitely making ground with every drop.
00:10:39.660 Okay, fine.
00:10:40.420 And do you have any idea when the timing of this drop tonight?
00:10:43.720 We don't.
00:10:44.360 Sometimes they come as early as four and then sometimes they're as late as 830 out here on
00:10:48.840 the West coast time.
00:10:49.680 So I'll, I'll ping you as soon as we get any word.
00:10:53.600 Just ping me.
00:10:54.580 And what, once again, what's your social media so people can follow this?
00:10:57.760 Cause we have hundreds of thousands that are watching your, uh, your progress here.
00:11:04.320 Uh, Joe Kent, one six J a N one nine on Twitter, get her on all the, all the different social
00:11:09.960 medias.
00:11:10.240 That's where you have a screenshot to all the ways to cure your ballot.
00:11:14.120 Joe Kent for Congress.com is our website.
00:11:16.400 We've got ballot curing teams out there right now.
00:11:18.660 I've got a Marine Corps vet.
00:11:19.780 I got several Navy vets.
00:11:20.860 So I got an army West pointer out there knocking on doors, ballot curing for us right now.
00:11:24.800 Joe Kent for Congress.com.
00:11:26.120 We need every penny to keep those guys moving.
00:11:28.180 And also so we can lawyer up.
00:11:31.440 Joe, if you just give me another minute, I want to play a quick cold open.
00:11:34.320 Cause you're actually coming back for the orientation over the weekend.
00:11:37.640 And this is one of your colleagues.
00:11:39.900 I just want you to hear what she had to say.
00:11:42.180 And I just want to get your reaction to that.
00:11:44.420 Go, go ahead and play it.
00:11:45.700 You do in terms of the economy, but she said, I hope there won't be two years of investigations.
00:11:50.660 Where do you come down on that aspect?
00:11:52.900 Well, we have to do the right thing, right?
00:11:56.000 We have to lead by example.
00:11:57.340 What's best for the country.
00:11:58.460 I think we've really gotten off track and we've, we've seen that.
00:12:01.900 And that's why voters came out, especially in Virginia and our second district, because
00:12:05.220 they weren't happy with the direction of things.
00:12:06.980 And we heard that time and time again at the doors, you know, something is off, something
00:12:10.600 is not right with the country.
00:12:11.580 So how can we work together?
00:12:13.060 It's going to be a unified effort, but Republicans are going to need to be unified, especially
00:12:17.000 in the U S house.
00:12:17.800 I think we'll have a slimmer majority than we may have hoped.
00:12:20.840 So it's going to be really important that, that, that messaging going forward of, you
00:12:24.760 know, how can we, how can we help where people would need the help, which is in the economy
00:12:28.200 and at the border in our communities, you know, how are we going to be unified?
00:12:31.300 If I could on the issue of investigations, would you support house investigations of Hunter
00:12:36.020 Biden?
00:12:38.800 So what I'm focused on are the issues that why we won, why we won in this district was because
00:12:43.720 of the economy, because we really sought to tell people, Hey, we're going to help
00:12:47.620 you.
00:12:47.940 We're going to be able to put more money in your pocketbook and lower those gas and grocery
00:12:50.900 prices.
00:12:51.700 And that's where my focus is the economy, the border in our communities and families.
00:12:55.540 That's where my focus has been and will continue to be.
00:12:58.520 Congresswoman elect Jen Kiggins.
00:12:59.900 Good to talk to you.
00:13:00.660 Thank you so much.
00:13:01.380 We will see you here in January.
00:13:06.460 Joe Kent, you've been, your whole campaign was about the economy, families, the border,
00:13:12.480 the invasion on the Southern border, all of it.
00:13:14.260 But do you think that Congress can, can walk and chew gum at the same time?
00:13:17.840 Do you think you also have your oversight responsibilities and investigations, particularly into the
00:13:23.180 laptop from hell, the Southern border, Fauci, all this, you think that's also a responsibility
00:13:29.100 at Congress when, when you show up as a freshman congressman, sir?
00:13:32.980 Absolutely.
00:13:33.500 There's plenty of us to walk and chew gum at the same time.
00:13:36.000 Yeah.
00:13:36.260 We're going to get the economy under control.
00:13:37.740 I mean, Jim Banks was on here yesterday talking about HR one, getting us back to being energy
00:13:41.380 independent.
00:13:41.980 That will benefit the American people almost immediately.
00:13:45.320 We're going to stop the out of control spending.
00:13:47.020 That's a given this omnibus nonsense.
00:13:49.160 But yeah, we are also going to go after this corrupt regime.
00:13:52.140 We're going after a laptop for hell from hell.
00:13:54.440 We're going to impeach Biden for what he did in the Southern border.
00:13:56.840 We're impeaching my orcas AG Garland.
00:13:58.480 That's what the American people hired us for.
00:14:00.580 They hired us to stop what Biden is doing to the country.
00:14:03.760 They hired us to actually get them some real information, some real, some real results
00:14:09.140 and just absolutely adjudicate everything that's been inflicted upon us for the last
00:14:13.520 two plus years, even further, if we go back and we're going to start going after Fauci as
00:14:16.980 well.
00:14:17.440 But yeah, we can fight the hard fight of investigations and we can fix the economy.
00:14:21.780 We can fix the border and we can protect our children all at the same time.
00:14:25.060 We have to.
00:14:25.620 Otherwise, we don't deserve to be there.
00:14:29.020 Joe Kent, fight on.
00:14:30.840 We're going to watch this very closely tonight on Getter and other places.
00:14:35.060 We'll be going live.
00:14:35.860 I know Charlie Kirk, Jack Posobiec, the War Room, Grace Chung, the War Room Posse, Captain
00:14:40.420 Ben and all of it.
00:14:41.300 Joe, fight on.
00:14:42.260 We'll be watching it closely.
00:14:43.360 Thank you.
00:14:44.400 Thank you, Steve.
00:14:46.940 Okay, Joe Kent, these are fighting, the fighting spirit of these people, particularly
00:14:51.940 Carrie Lake and the team out in Arizona.
00:14:53.760 Let me go back to Brady Smith.
00:14:55.480 Brady, correct me if I'm wrong.
00:14:57.040 They knew this was coming because for the first time you had the, in the primary, you
00:15:02.320 had this massive game day turnout.
00:15:04.100 They understand that Trump voters are different than his voters historically in Arizona that
00:15:09.560 have done by mail.
00:15:10.880 People have a lot of problem trust in the mail-in ballot system.
00:15:14.920 So it's a lot of game day voters.
00:15:16.920 Why were they not prepared for this onslaught of game day voting?
00:15:21.320 Both either people dropping off the ballots or just showing up and voting in person.
00:15:25.820 Why was Maricopa County particular?
00:15:28.620 Because we hear all the time from the mainstream media how great Bill Gates and his team are.
00:15:35.520 Why were they not prepared?
00:15:38.060 Well, Steve, you're absolutely right that we did see the writing on the wall of this in
00:15:42.980 the primary.
00:15:43.760 The game day turnout was very large there.
00:15:46.380 The ballots, of course, broke very heavily for Carrie Lake in the primary for those same
00:15:50.340 day drop-offs.
00:15:51.380 We're going to see the same thing again here.
00:15:52.900 But to your question of why were they not prepared here, I think it just goes back to
00:15:57.000 the incompetence that we see in the Maricopa County Recorder's Office.
00:16:01.380 You know, we knew that there would be a large turnout of those same day drop-off votes.
00:16:06.340 And actually, we ended up breaking the previous record by 70 percent.
00:16:10.780 Now, I want to remind your listeners that in 2020, the same day drop-offs in the 2020 election
00:16:16.660 were favorable for President Trump by a 13 percent margin.
00:16:21.000 So these are going to break extremely heavily our way.
00:16:24.080 These are our voters.
00:16:25.580 And these are people who, you know, do not want to place that mail-in ballot that they
00:16:29.360 received at their address back into the USPS system.
00:16:32.700 They don't want to take it to a drop-box location.
00:16:35.920 They want to bring it into the vote center because they, you know, have some questions
00:16:39.460 about the system.
00:16:41.400 And you and I both know that the gal running the system, Katie Hobbs, the Secretary of State
00:16:45.660 of Arizona, was on the ballot.
00:16:47.060 So, of course, they're not going to trust the system.
00:16:49.460 Of course, they're going to walk these ballots in.
00:16:51.820 And to Maricopa County's under-preparedness, I think it really sheds a huge light that Bill
00:16:58.580 Gates and Stephen Richard were not ready for this.
00:17:01.140 They were not prepared.
00:17:02.740 And that is resulting in delays that are frustrating, not just Arizonans, but Americans all across
00:17:08.680 the country.
00:17:11.440 The whole world is watching.
00:17:12.960 I mean, you had your campaign was run flawlessly.
00:17:16.000 But what blew me away, and I told people, because you had your advance teams were guys from
00:17:19.680 the 16 team for President Trump.
00:17:22.140 And the size of the crowds and the professional was unbelievable.
00:17:26.080 So they should have known something was coming because Kerry kept talking about, you know,
00:17:30.320 and Mike Lindell, this whole theory that you wait and come, you vote on game day, you vote
00:17:34.520 on election day.
00:17:36.320 But when this thing all went down, correct me if I'm wrong, I thought they told us by
00:17:41.260 Friday it would all be sorted.
00:17:42.780 I know we promised other days, but they said it's all going to be done by Friday.
00:17:45.660 Wasn't that what they put out at first, sir, that Friday would be the day?
00:17:49.260 And now we know it is.
00:17:51.080 And I think they just said, I don't know what they're saying in the press conference right
00:17:53.760 now, but they said the other day that, hey, we might not even have the majority.
00:17:57.280 We will have the majority of the Maricopa County done by Monday or Tuesday of next week.
00:18:02.620 So didn't they promise this to be wrapped up by today?
00:18:06.480 They have insinuated that it's possible that this would be done by today.
00:18:11.820 This has been, you know, consistently, they're moving the goalpost.
00:18:15.240 Um, and they, they have not given much color as to why the goalpost continues to move on
00:18:21.120 this, but, uh, Maricopa County, uh, has not given us a concrete answer on when they're
00:18:26.600 going to be completely done counting the votes yet.
00:18:28.940 Um, but we are going to see a chunk of those same day drop-offs come in tonight that they
00:18:34.260 will favor carry Lake and we will see carry Lake pick up both, uh, in the drop that is
00:18:38.480 going to come tonight sometime in the eight o'clock hour, uh, Arizona time.
00:18:42.140 Eight o'clock, uh, Arizona time.
00:18:45.840 That'll be 10 o'clock Eastern, uh, standard, uh, time.
00:18:50.160 Do you think that this is, um, you know, Steve Cortez, who's watches this very closely, Steve
00:18:55.540 Cortez said this is to demoralize and exhaust the, uh, the deplorables and the carry Lake,
00:19:02.200 um, and the carry Lake, um, uh, movement that this is, it can't just be total incompetence
00:19:08.760 because they knew about it for two years.
00:19:10.400 They were under a microscope, you know, and Gates came up and said, Hey, this is just the
00:19:14.040 way we do things in Arizona, but that was supposed to be that they were supposed to take out the
00:19:17.920 flaws and get down and be able to do it efficiently.
00:19:20.980 Do you think this is a demoralized and exhaust people?
00:19:23.940 Because when people forget in, in the primary, carry Lake was down, I think by 10, 12, 13 points
00:19:29.980 around 11 o'clock, 12 o'clock local time, and she was getting tremendous pressure from her opponent
00:19:38.660 and from the political professionals.
00:19:40.980 And, you know, and these were national professionals on her team for carry Lake.
00:19:45.400 And you remember this, you were one of the people coming under pressure.
00:19:47.940 They were putting a tremendous pressure on you guys to concede when, when, when it looked like,
00:19:52.700 you know, you're getting close to midnight and she's 10 down, but, and carry Lake was saying,
00:19:55.980 no, no, no, no, no.
00:19:56.700 Like she said the other night, no, no, no, no, no, this is going to flip.
00:19:59.360 And I think three or four o'clock in the morning, it flipped, but they took their time and slow
00:20:03.340 walk it carry Lake and people forget this carry Lake one by five, five and a half percent on
00:20:07.780 the primary and never really got a full credit of that.
00:20:10.200 Are they trying to demoralize and exhaust you by drawing it out?
00:20:13.340 So carry Lake never gets her moment in the international media and carry Lake never gets
00:20:16.900 that big moment where she walks on stage and takes this victory.
00:20:19.960 Carry Lake never has a celebratory nature of this massive victory.
00:20:23.900 And they forgot, Oh yeah, it's so close.
00:20:25.940 The thing is it's a nail biter, nail biter, nail biter.
00:20:28.460 So if the votes come in, like you guys analyze, she wins by 5%.
00:20:32.040 She doesn't get that boost to the 5%.
00:20:34.760 Do you think there's some design to this more than just their regular incompetence, sir?
00:20:40.860 Well, Steve, I would say, uh, I have, I've not seen anything that would suggest that there's
00:20:48.000 malice, uh, behind this, this delay here.
00:20:51.840 Um, I've learned to, to never underestimate the incompetence.
00:20:55.820 However, um, it runs rampant through the County, through the County recorder's office.
00:21:00.760 Uh, but should that have been the case, which I am not insinuating that it is, I really don't
00:21:04.880 think there's any actual malice or ill will intent in this delay, but even if it was, uh,
00:21:10.980 they're achieving the exact opposite, right?
00:21:13.160 This is just amplifying, uh, you know, carry Lake is on every channel, everywhere you go.
00:21:18.600 Everyone's talking about this race.
00:21:19.720 Like you just said, though, all eyes in the world are on Arizona right now.
00:21:23.200 So, um, I do not think there's malice behind this.
00:21:25.740 I think, uh, it comes down to under preparedness and incompetence, uh, but it has amplified and
00:21:32.000 all eyes are on Arizona and all eyes are on future governor carry Lake as a result.
00:21:39.120 Uh, Brady, a couple more questions.
00:21:41.000 Uh, number one, and when I went around and saw these crowds and these were massive crowds,
00:21:45.000 I mean, I, I was quite frankly blown away by the size and scale of this campaign.
00:21:49.120 For a, uh, for a gut, for an off year governor's race, it was just extraordinary.
00:21:53.040 It was almost like presidential level, uh, presidential level for anybody, but Donald
00:21:57.060 Trump, I mean, any presidential candidate would have been blown away to have the scale
00:22:01.700 and the size and the intensity of the crowds, but they were peaceful, good people would wait
00:22:06.860 for hours.
00:22:07.500 I mean, just decent, hardworking Americans.
00:22:09.440 When you see Maricopa County tabulation center, they have, you know, with the fence around it,
00:22:14.260 they have a police officers on the roof.
00:22:16.260 They are putting out a thing that says they're, they feel they're in danger.
00:22:19.840 They're, have you seen anything that, that even comes close to any people getting worked
00:22:26.340 up, anything of, of, of danger or anything that would, would, uh, would, uh, have the
00:22:31.500 reaction that the authorities, uh, in Maricopa County, uh, the voting group has put up around
00:22:37.400 this tabulation center, sir.
00:22:39.020 Well, you're, you're exactly right, Steve.
00:22:42.920 You know, the environment here, uh, the enthusiasm on the ground, uh, amongst supporters, amongst
00:22:48.800 voters in Arizona has been astronomical.
00:22:50.740 This is something that the state of Arizona has never seen before.
00:22:54.260 Uh, this is a campaign unlike anyone that's ever been ran in the country, quite frankly.
00:22:59.120 Um, and no, you're, you're, you're, you're also right that, you know, these are, these are
00:23:02.840 patriots that are coming out to our events.
00:23:05.180 These, there has been nothing to, uh, suggest the need for, uh, amplified security, uh, like
00:23:11.980 that.
00:23:12.260 I think it's fairly ironic that, that we see, you know, walls going up around the, the
00:23:17.820 count center, but we still don't have a finished border wall.
00:23:21.600 Um, so no, I, I have not seen any report, uh, to suggest, uh, that there is any threat of
00:23:29.000 violence, um, or, or anything in that vein whatsoever, um, to, to require.
00:23:35.180 Uh, amplified security.
00:23:39.400 Brady, how do they, people follow you guys, uh, over there?
00:23:43.080 Uh, we've had Carolyn on and obviously Carrie, uh, a lot of times we're trying to give her
00:23:46.520 a rest because she, we know she's got, uh, to focus on different things in the transition
00:23:51.020 and, and, and to closing this deal.
00:23:52.900 So we've been, uh, been really, um, blessed to have people like yourself and, and Caroline,
00:23:58.480 the staff she has around her, her senior advisors are just an incredible team.
00:24:02.020 Um, how do people follow you on social media and walk me through the process that this
00:24:06.520 audience that is, you know, in the, in the millions that are Carrie Lake fans over the
00:24:11.380 weekend, what, how do you, how does Brady Smith see this thing developing, uh, how they
00:24:16.280 get access to your campaign team?
00:24:18.140 Where do they go?
00:24:18.840 Cause people want to follow, they're following this minute by minute.
00:24:21.340 Yeah, absolutely.
00:24:23.560 You can, you can follow me on Twitter at I letter I, the letter M Brady Smith, B R A D Y
00:24:30.760 Smith.
00:24:31.380 I would also suggest, uh, to your listeners to follow Landon wall, our, our data guru at
00:24:36.680 Landon wall underscore, uh, we, you know, continue to put out updates as, as ballot drops come
00:24:42.900 in, uh, to be able to contextualize things for, for the electorate and for, you know, folks
00:24:47.180 who do not know the ins and outs of Arizona, uh, and when, what is to be expected in these
00:24:52.020 individual drops, you know, we're going to see as these same day drop-offs continue to
00:24:56.500 come in, they are going to continue to move Republican way.
00:24:59.980 Uh, Carrie Lake's going to continue to pick up votes, uh, and we are going to win.
00:25:03.640 Steve.
00:25:06.840 Uh, Brady Smith.
00:25:07.900 Thank you very much.
00:25:08.540 I want to say you're, you're part of an extraordinary young team out there that, uh, people are hearing
00:25:14.240 from, uh, worldwide right now.
00:25:15.840 You, what you have done and what you guys have created in really more than a campaign, you've
00:25:19.960 created a movement in Arizona that's inspiring, not just the nation, but it's inspiring the
00:25:24.380 entire world.
00:25:24.920 I get, I get contacts all day long from throughout the world about how you guys have comported
00:25:29.480 yourself, obviously the poise in class of, uh, of Carrie Lake, but the entire team, how
00:25:34.700 you've comported yourself, you people are unflappable and indefatigable.
00:25:38.680 So just keep up the good work.
00:25:41.540 Thank you very much, Steve.
00:25:42.660 Thanks for having me on.
00:25:43.440 Hope to be back on with you soon.
00:25:47.280 Brady Smith, director.
00:25:48.820 He's a political operations chief over at Carrie Lake's team.
00:25:51.680 The team is a very young and Carrie Lake runs a, you know, she doesn't, she doesn't have
00:25:55.880 a pollster.
00:25:56.880 They have data people, but no pollster.
00:25:58.920 They don't have any big time Washington consultants, none of the traditional Arizona consultants.
00:26:03.380 She, she refuses to do that.
00:26:04.860 She's not going to play the game.
00:26:06.180 Doesn't play, you know, not a big TV buy, not big media buyers.
00:26:09.820 This is probably as radical as the Trump, um, primary campaign and the, in the campaign
00:26:17.100 in 16, which was just a campaign that was, uh, was run very differently than any previous
00:26:22.800 presidential campaign, uh, in one.
00:26:25.240 And I think the greatest come from behind a political comeback in, uh, American presidential
00:26:30.400 politics, Carrie Lake, just extraordinary.
00:26:33.400 Remember Carrie Lake has had, I think when it's all some total, it's going to be 70 to
00:26:38.720 $80 million dropped on her, almost all in negative ads.
00:26:42.560 Not about policy, but about, she's a terrible person.
00:26:45.460 She's raised, I think three and a half, three in the first part, maybe five, probably spent,
00:26:49.920 let's say eight to 10 against 80 outspent eight to one, nine to one, maybe 10 to one.
00:26:54.340 And, uh, poised for a very, um, uh, shocking victory, I think in Arizona, this is going to
00:27:01.140 be a dog fight all weekend through the weekend through early next week out there, just like
00:27:06.160 in Nevada.
00:27:06.760 So, Hey, if you want entertainment, you're at the wrong spot.
00:27:10.440 If you want to hunker down and grind it out, you're in the right spot.

00:31:42.900 It's Veterans Day, Armistice Day in Europe, Veterans Day here, 11 November in the year of
00:31:48.640 World War, 2022, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is when the guns fell
00:31:53.040 silent in Europe in the beginning of the armistice, the truce that led to the armistice and to the
00:32:00.040 peace treaty in World War I.
00:32:01.340 The war to end all wars didn't quite work out like that, did it?
00:32:05.000 Kind of kicked off the end of the Victorian era and the beginning of the bloodiest century
00:32:09.820 in mankind's history.
00:32:11.360 Look, we've been intensely into the politics of all this, and we're getting in now to these
00:32:16.000 leadership fights, the lame duck.
00:32:18.840 This is one of the most intense.
00:32:20.120 And for the war and posse, they've been here from the impeachment days three years ago when
00:32:24.040 we started the show, impeachment, then the pandemic, then the 2020 campaign, and then
00:32:28.660 the impeachment again, and then everything with the Biden regime is showing down leading
00:32:32.860 up to the 22.
00:32:33.900 It's been one intense, historic moment after the other.
00:32:37.940 The one only reason I, and I love the politics and the combat of it and all that.
00:32:42.540 So we just love it.
00:32:43.360 You know, win, lose or draw.
00:32:45.040 Of course, we like to win more than we lose or draw.
00:32:47.460 The only thing I don't like about it, Mike Davis, is I don't have Mike Davis on enough.
00:32:50.920 Mike Davis is Article 3.
00:32:53.100 He's the one that's going to lead to the tip of the spear to take apart the tech oligarchs.
00:32:59.120 Mike is also our guy that comes on about the Supreme Court and everything about the judiciary.
00:33:04.520 But Mike, in fact, can I play, I want to play a clip.
00:33:07.480 I just played for Joe Kent a minute ago.
00:33:10.660 Joe is now in a real dogfight for his seat out in Washington 3, and they're going to have
00:33:15.920 another drop tonight.
00:33:18.400 Obviously, Maricopa County is going to have a drop.
00:33:20.040 We were going to actually be occupied.
00:33:22.120 I think we're going to be live.
00:33:23.060 We'll probably go up and get her or over in the Charlie Kirk show when that comes up.
00:33:26.720 But we're talking about these leadership fights.
00:33:29.080 And so I play this for Joe Kent and get his reaction.
00:33:31.040 I want to play it for you and get your reaction and particularly your comments and observations
00:33:35.920 about the leadership fight in the House.
00:33:37.600 Can I play this for a second for Brother Davis?
00:33:40.740 You do in terms of the economy.
00:33:42.420 But she said, I hope there won't be two years of investigations.
00:33:45.860 Where do you come down on that aspect?
00:33:47.260 Well, we have to do the right thing, right?
00:33:51.060 We have to lead by example.
00:33:52.380 What's best for the country?
00:33:53.620 I think we've really gotten off track.
00:33:55.320 And we've seen that.
00:33:56.940 And that's why voters came out, especially in Virginia, in our second district,
00:34:00.140 because they weren't happy with the direction of things.
00:34:02.080 And we heard that time and time again at the doors.
00:34:04.480 You know, something is off.
00:34:05.440 Something is not right with the country.
00:34:06.720 So how can we work together?
00:34:08.180 It's going to be a unified effort.
00:34:09.160 But Republicans are going to need to be unified, especially in the U.S. House.
00:34:12.840 I think we'll have a slimmer majority than we may have hoped.
00:34:15.960 So it's going to be really important that that messaging going forward of, you know,
00:34:19.860 how can we help where people need the help, which is in the economy and at the border in our communities.
00:34:25.020 You know, how are we going to be unified?
00:34:26.120 If I could, on the issue of investigations, would you support House investigations of Hunter Biden?
00:34:33.860 So what I'm focused on are the issues that why we won.
00:34:37.160 Why we won in this district was because of the economy, because we really sought to tell people,
00:34:41.880 hey, we're going to help you.
00:34:42.940 We're going to be able to put more money in your pocketbook and lower those gas and grocery prices.
00:34:46.640 And that's where my focus is.
00:34:48.140 The economy, the border, and our communities and families.
00:34:50.560 That's where my focus has been and will continue to be.
00:34:53.580 Congresswoman-elect Jen Kiggins, good to talk to you.
00:34:55.620 Thank you so much.
00:34:56.400 We will see you here in January.
00:35:01.820 Okay.
00:35:02.360 And to put it in context with Congressman Kiggins, or she's about to become Congressman Kiggins,
00:35:07.240 is that she ran against Luria.
00:35:09.700 And she took down the last of the real J6 people that were out there.
00:35:13.860 Luria is a rising star down in the Virginia Beach area.
00:35:16.440 I think Luria also went to the Naval Academy, was a naval officer.
00:35:20.440 And put up some pretty mean tweets about me.
00:35:22.740 Not that I care, but just saying.
00:35:24.220 And she was beaten.
00:35:25.740 And one of the reasons that she won was to say that, you know, this January 16th was a waste of time.
00:35:32.840 The country's got big problems.
00:35:33.860 But that being said, Mike Davis, is this, I don't want to call it a problem, but is this attitude that we just got to do?
00:35:41.200 And yes, and I asked Joe Kent, he's all about the economy.
00:35:43.620 He's all about the invasion of the southern border.
00:35:45.520 He's all about the family.
00:35:46.620 These are his bedrock issues that's got him on the precipice of winning up in Washington 3.
00:35:52.260 But is this the problem we've had with the controlled opposition Republican Party that they just don't want to get in there and do the hard work that is really required?
00:36:01.880 And the nation is demanding, and that's why they're giving the Republicans this majority, sir?
00:36:07.200 Well, I think the Republicans in the House can walk and shoot them at the same time.
00:36:12.640 They can have a positive agenda that they can sell to the American people, and they can also do aggressive oversights over the Biden administration.
00:36:21.840 There has to be aggressive oversight over Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Biden Justice Department.
00:36:27.500 They have completely politicized and weaponized the Justice Department against President Biden's political enemies.
00:36:34.480 At the Department of Homeland Security, we have the Department of Homeland Security not doing their job.
00:36:40.940 They're not protecting our border.
00:36:43.020 There is an invasion at our southern border, and people need to be held accountable for this.
00:36:47.680 And so, again, House Republicans can walk and shoot them at the same time.
00:36:51.980 They can put forward a sharp contrast with the Democrats on how Republicans can govern while also doing very effective and aggressive oversight.
00:37:04.340 How is this going to play out?
00:37:05.900 And I realize you're a guy from really the Senate side with Grassley, and you were the Sherpa on many of the Supreme Court issues, and you've worked very close with McConnell staff.
00:37:17.320 I'll talk about what's happening in the Senate in a second.
00:37:19.180 Pretty shocking, these letters, what's going on over there.
00:37:21.760 But these House fights, what she's talking about, is this the tension that's in this town?
00:37:27.280 And people should understand, there's a lot of tension in Washington right now.
00:37:31.760 It's not about what the outcome will be.
00:37:33.220 They'll know it'll be either 219, 220, 221, 222, whatever, that it'll be a 5, 6, 7, 8 seat majority.
00:37:42.940 But the tensions over leadership and these leadership votes and who's going to be the speaker and who's going to run the show.
00:37:48.920 And in a sense is, the question is, is that is McCarthy and people around him tough enough and focused enough to do what needs to be done to really set things right here, particularly to confront, work with the Biden administration where you can.
00:38:03.200 But they're all sitting there.
00:38:04.180 Biden's going, I just had a big victory.
00:38:05.760 Maybe we can work with the Republicans.
00:38:07.120 They never talked about that before.
00:38:08.520 Or is it more of a confrontational, where do you, since you've been at really the tip of the spear in this whole thing about going after the tech oligarchs, and one of the things that you've complained about is that, hey, I've got a plan to really go confront these guys.
00:38:23.040 And we've got to, you know, we've got to be trust busters.
00:38:24.920 We've got to start taking them apart.
00:38:26.840 And your complaint has been, hey, these guys are playing foot.
00:38:29.720 They talk big, but they're playing footsies with them.
00:38:31.640 And they're going to pass a couple of performative laws, but nothing's going to change.
00:38:35.080 So, where do you come out in all this leadership fight and direction of the House?
00:38:46.960 He just frees up.
00:38:47.960 That was such a great question.
00:38:49.760 He just froze.
00:38:51.120 No, he didn't.
00:38:51.780 Mike Davis didn't freeze.
00:38:52.980 The computer froze.
00:38:53.860 Let's try to get him back up.
00:38:54.860 That was kind of brilliant, wasn't it?
00:38:56.480 Maybe I can answer it this time.
00:38:59.580 Okay.
00:38:59.980 Just to put it in perspective, we're going to get Mike, try to get Mike back up.
00:39:02.760 If you're not, let's get him back by phone.
00:39:04.200 Not that I don't love seeing Mike's, you can tell Mike's a fighter.
00:39:07.880 I think it's the red-haired Irishman that kind of gives it away that the, but here's
00:39:13.180 what's going on.
00:39:13.860 So, people understand this.
00:39:14.980 There is, and this is what makes it so fascinating from a dramatic point of view.
00:39:21.380 It's obvious that these votes are being slow walked.
00:39:26.680 Okay.
00:39:26.960 And I realize people are doing their jobs and trying to do their jobs.
00:39:29.420 But you just have to question, given the fact that we knew about this, we knew things were
00:39:33.540 going to happen.
00:39:34.120 Why is Nevada and Arizona taking so long, particularly in the fact that there were these problems
00:39:39.080 before?
00:39:40.540 So, the Associated Press has already notified.
00:39:43.260 They said, hey, we're not going to call the House to at least next Tuesday when this leadership
00:39:47.540 vote, the first round really takes place.
00:39:49.480 Not the speakership, but the leadership of the Republican conference.
00:39:53.540 They also said, hey, you know, it may take us in California, it may take us two or three
00:40:01.840 weeks later.
00:40:02.420 Well, if you go back and look at Alex DeGrasse's from the first hour of the show, hey, I'm
00:40:06.480 counting up one, two, three, four, I'm counting up seven of the 15 seats they think they can
00:40:12.240 pick up to go from 212 to 227.
00:40:17.120 Seven or eight of those seats are California.
00:40:18.880 They're saying right now, the Associated Press says, which is kind of the bellwether people
00:40:22.780 go by, won't even be called for two or three weeks.
00:40:28.760 On the Senate side, we have Laxalt in Nevada right now.
00:40:32.540 There's going to be another drop tonight.
00:40:33.940 They're talking about it could take through the weekend, through Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
00:40:38.180 later next week.
00:40:39.380 All kind of fighting over there about Clark County and Washoe County.
00:40:43.040 You have Arizona, which we're going to get another drop tonight, we just heard, at 8 p.m.
00:40:49.060 Arizona time.
00:40:50.060 That'll be 10 p.m.
00:40:51.200 Eastern time.
00:40:51.800 We don't know what's going to come over the weekend, but they've already said yesterday
00:40:55.700 and they change stuff every day.
00:40:57.320 There's even, he says, Bill Gates says, they change the goalpost every day, move the goalpost.
00:41:03.100 This is his words, not mine.
00:41:04.820 They're talking about not even a majority of Maricopa County until Monday or Tuesday of next
00:41:08.740 week.
00:41:10.000 So in all that, you're trying to have these leadership fights.
00:41:12.260 And here's what, let's just go to the heart of the matter.
00:41:15.360 And the war room posse is, and I've tried to play this as even handed as we possibly can,
00:41:20.160 because it's a debate that needs to be had.
00:41:23.720 Can you have business as usual?
00:41:25.440 And I think people look at Kevin McCarthy, whether they love him or hate him, is that
00:41:30.420 it will be more business as usual.
00:41:32.720 And can you do that?
00:41:34.320 Can you, this mandate you're getting as small as it is, and let's say it's a 15 seat pickup
00:41:38.900 or a 12, 13 seat pickup, it gives you a majority.
00:41:42.320 Can you actually get done what you need to get done?
00:41:45.600 Are you going to have the fights on the debt ceiling?
00:41:47.320 Are you going to have the fights on these omnibus appropriations bills?
00:41:50.460 Are you going to pass HR1?
00:41:53.480 Your HR1 is going to be energy.
00:41:54.840 As Steve Cortez says, you ought to pass energy and border right out of the box.
00:41:58.560 And if you pass a full spectrum energy dominance bill and Biden vetoes it, refuses to sign it,
00:42:04.960 are you prepared to have Biden shut down the government in order to do that?
00:42:10.000 By the way, I'm fine.
00:42:10.700 I forget, Dave is fine, but I can go ahead and roll on this forever.
00:42:14.380 I'm cooking with gas right now.
00:42:16.260 So, you know, my producer is getting bored.
00:42:18.920 So he says, I ought to bring Mike Davis back in.
00:42:21.280 Do I have Mike Davis?
00:42:22.180 Yes.
00:42:23.000 I have the puncher's chance, Mike Davis here.
00:42:25.900 So Davis, what is your beef?
00:42:28.680 You've been pretty critical of these guys up to date.
00:42:31.820 And even some of the heroes like the Jim Jordans,
00:42:34.000 you're saying they're not tough enough.
00:42:35.360 They're not focused enough.
00:42:36.300 This is all performative.
00:42:37.240 We need to get in there and tear things apart.
00:42:39.460 We need to go off these tech oligarchs.
00:42:41.080 They're controlling the country.
00:42:42.560 They're shutting down people.
00:42:44.220 And we can give a lot of happy talk.
00:42:45.920 You can talk about 230, but you're dancing around the edges
00:42:48.380 and you're making people feel good because you're on Fox and on CNBC talking about stuff,
00:42:54.460 but it's all crap.
00:42:55.220 And you've got to be hard and you've got to be tough.
00:42:57.640 So what is your complaint in this leadership about taking over in this same group
00:43:02.520 being in charge of the entire House of Representatives, sir?
00:43:07.480 So we've been talking about big tech for three years and hear Republicans making tough speeches
00:43:15.240 and saying, you know, tough things about big tech, but we have to hold them accountable.
00:43:20.060 And there are bills working their way through the House and Senate right now,
00:43:24.520 sponsored by Congressman Ken Buck, a conservative all-star from Colorado,
00:43:28.340 along with Senator Chuck Grassley, my boss from Iowa, that will finally hold big tech accountable.
00:43:34.700 And you can go to theiap.org slash war room,
00:43:39.240 and the war room posse can go look at those bills right now,
00:43:42.040 and they can see what bills could pass right now with bipartisan supports
00:43:46.240 in the House and the Senate, and President Biden will sign these bills,
00:43:50.640 and we can finally hold big tech accountable.
00:43:53.500 So the time for talk is over.
00:43:55.400 It's time for action.
00:43:56.460 What about the overall, do you agree with the newly-mitted congressman from Virginia Beach
00:44:06.740 that we should focus on the economy, we should focus on the border,
00:44:10.240 we should focus on things and leave the investigation aside.
00:44:12.960 The laptop from hell, just stay away from it.
00:44:14.900 Anything to do with the DOJ and the FBI, just stay away from it.
00:44:18.060 It's going to be too confrontational.
00:44:19.400 It's going to get the New York Times all riled up and the Wall Street Journal
00:44:25.840 and the Washington Post, and you don't need a church commission.
00:44:28.780 You don't need to get into the national security apparatus or the CIA,
00:44:31.820 or really not so much the deep state as the administrative state.
00:44:35.320 The deep state's their more rogue element.
00:44:37.460 You should stay away from that.
00:44:39.020 Do you agree with that, or do you agree that we should use this time,
00:44:43.120 effort, and mandate to go for it?
00:44:46.680 There needs to be aggressive oversight.
00:44:48.840 We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
00:44:52.480 You can push a legislative agenda through committees,
00:44:56.880 and you can push an oversight agenda through committees.
00:44:58.860 That's why we have committees in the House and committees in the Senate.
00:45:01.560 You can do both, and they need to do both.
00:45:03.560 They need to get to the bottom of the Biden corruption.
00:45:06.240 They need to get to the bottom of President Biden,
00:45:08.960 weaponizing, politicizing the Justice Department to go after his political enemies.
00:45:13.420 We need to hold DHS accountable for their total dereliction of duty
00:45:17.960 on our southern border.
00:45:18.960 There's an invasion of our southern border.
00:45:20.660 This is intentional.
00:45:21.980 They're trying to import Democrat voters,
00:45:26.100 and we need to – there needs to be aggressive oversight.
00:45:30.860 Heads must roll.
00:45:34.780 I know you're not for political impeachments,
00:45:37.360 but you're saying if you do these investigations in the invasion of the southern border,
00:45:41.160 if you do them on the laptop from hell with the CCP involvement,
00:45:43.880 if you do investigations that have ranking members and minority counsel
00:45:49.340 and they get to cross-examine witnesses and all that,
00:45:51.920 if the fruits of that are things that could lead to impeachment,
00:45:56.300 whether of Merrick Garland or Mayorkas or even going all the way up to Biden,
00:46:00.080 that's the way you do it?
00:46:02.800 Well, I mean, I'm not saying we need to move for impeachment immediately,
00:46:05.520 but there certainly needs to be aggressive oversight.
00:46:08.380 And I know that Senator Chuck Grassley,
00:46:12.640 whether he's the chairman of the Judiciary Committee
00:46:14.960 or he's a ranking member of the Budget Committee or another committee,
00:46:18.720 he's going to have a big staff, and they're going to do oversight.
00:46:21.060 And I think the House Republicans need to do oversight.
00:46:24.060 There needs to be oversight.
00:46:25.760 They're going to be in the majority, a narrow majority,
00:46:28.360 but they have a constitutional duty to do oversight of the executive branch,
00:46:32.300 and they need to do it.
00:46:33.060 Are you pretty shocked?
00:46:36.520 I understand you're close to the McConnell guys as you should be.
00:46:38.800 McConnell's done, you know, people should say what they want.
00:46:41.340 Look, I'm no fan of his, and he's less of a fan of mine.
00:46:44.020 But on the judges, he's done a terrific job of getting these judges approved,
00:46:47.720 and these are conservative judges.
00:46:49.820 And look at the Supreme Court, just a Herculean effort of what's happened there.
00:46:54.240 And that's, quite frankly, saved the nation in the gap.
00:46:57.640 And there's many more big things to come in this session,
00:47:00.780 whether it's affirmative action, whether it's the independent state legislatures,
00:47:05.280 whether it's more things about the administrative state.
00:47:09.380 But I'm kind of, I am actually kind of shocked that you've had a couple of,
00:47:13.080 with this fight, and there's a big fight in the House.
00:47:15.740 You got the Freedom Caucus guys saying,
00:47:17.240 hey, Kevin McCarthy spent $40, $50 million taking out Caroline Leavitt,
00:47:21.820 taking out Sabatini in Florida, trying to make Anna Paulina Luna go away,
00:47:26.120 Joe Kent, and dozens, you know, lots of others.
00:47:28.240 And that money should have been spent on making sure Caroline Leavitt won,
00:47:32.400 and Joe Kent won bigger, and Lauren Boavitt won.
00:47:35.880 And so, their fight, the Freedom Caucus is saying, hey, we can't do it.
00:47:38.900 There's X amount of members.
00:47:39.680 So, that's a big fight there.
00:47:40.660 I'm kind of surprised at these letters.
00:47:42.260 I'm kind of surprised, particularly like guys like Rubio,
00:47:44.940 and people like that that are not normally known.
00:47:47.480 So, now you got Josh Hawley, you've got Mike Lee, you have Marco Rubio,
00:47:51.800 you have Rick Scott, you have others.
00:47:53.500 And they go, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, maybe we slow down this leadership vote
00:47:57.400 also next week, and just wait to see how things play out,
00:48:00.840 and particularly know if we're in the minority or majority.
00:48:04.060 Is that strike you as pretty stunning,
00:48:07.240 given Mitch McConnell's total grasp on power in the Senate?
00:48:10.500 Well, I mean, it doesn't hurt to have a discussion about leadership,
00:48:16.120 and I don't think anyone should be scared of a discussion about leadership.
00:48:20.120 At the end of the day, I think they're going to see that the Senate majority leader has a tough job.
00:48:24.940 Their job is to herd cats, and these are unruly, undisciplined cats called U.S. senators.
00:48:30.740 It's very hard to herd them.
00:48:33.220 And when you're trying to herd cats as the minority leader or the majority leader,
00:48:38.720 it's a tough job. It's a thankless job.
00:48:41.120 And so there are a lot of things that Mitch McConnell has to do,
00:48:45.120 not because he agrees with it, but because he has to keep these unruly cats in line
00:48:50.840 in order to be the majority leader, the minority leader.
00:48:53.200 So I think people just need to take a deep breath.
00:48:56.240 Let's get through the next couple weeks.
00:48:58.240 Let's see what happens in Georgia.
00:49:00.400 I think Herschel Walker is going to win that race.
00:49:03.400 We could see Adam Laxalt winning in Nevada,
00:49:07.040 and we might have a Republican majority when this all ends.
00:49:13.420 Mike, you've been with the War Room now for over a year as one of our big contributors
00:49:16.960 on all the stuff legal.
00:49:18.640 Do you believe that we have a moral responsibility and really a mandate from the American people,
00:49:23.440 particularly in the House, to really make things happen
00:49:26.500 and to really confront this regime, this administration,
00:49:29.520 and make sure we had not just full investigations, but also use the appropriations process?
00:49:35.080 And like, you know, Steve Cortez said, pass an energy bill immediately.
00:49:38.880 And if they don't, you know, be prepared to have Biden shut down the government.
00:49:42.000 Others are saying secure the southern border.
00:49:43.940 If he's not prepared to do it, let him shut down the government.
00:49:46.220 Use appropriations.
00:49:47.620 Do you believe we have that mandate?
00:49:49.340 And if we don't use it, the American people will take it back in 2024?
00:49:55.080 To be aggressive oversight, we need to draw a sharp contrast with the Biden.
00:49:59.160 The administration, remember, Biden's not popular.
00:50:01.880 The Democrats are not popular.
00:50:03.300 Republicans won by more than six.
00:50:06.400 They won by more than six points across the country.
00:50:09.760 It just happens that the Democrats were able to prevent this giant tsunami
00:50:15.160 because they just, I think they did a better job on the ground.
00:50:18.720 We need to do a better job on our ground game.
00:50:20.720 We need to do a better job on our legal game.
00:50:23.040 We need to invest in the ground game.
00:50:24.760 We need to invest in our legal game.
00:50:26.320 We need to start having these state legislatures in these all-mail ballots across the country
00:50:32.460 where it becomes election season instead of election day.
00:50:36.040 And I think the biggest thing Republicans need to stop doing is saying,
00:50:39.800 look, wait until election day to vote.
00:50:42.600 We're going to let the Democrats kick our butts for four weeks, six weeks before election day,
00:50:47.920 during election season.
00:50:49.240 Democrats already have these races won by election day.
00:50:51.720 We need to get out of that mindset.
00:50:52.800 We need to play by, until we can fix the rules, until we can change the rules,
00:50:56.940 we need to play by those rules, and we need to start learning how to win.
00:51:02.200 Mike Davis, how do people get to you and track all this?
00:51:07.340 Yeah, so it's article3project.org, article3project.org,
