Bannon's War Room - WarRoom Battleground EP 208： Content Moderation And The Fight On The Floor Of The House

00:00:00.000 I consent that the Speaker be authorized to postpone the vote on ordering the previous

00:00:11.820 question on House Resolution 5 to a designated time later today.

00:00:16.060 No objection.

00:00:17.060 Mr. Speaker, I ask unanimous consent that the Chair may reduce to five minutes the

00:00:23.100 minimum time for electronic voting on any question relating to House Resolution 5 that

00:00:28.120 follows a 15-minute vote.

00:00:30.120 No objection.

00:00:31.120 With that, Mr. Speaker, I reserve my time.

00:00:33.120 The gentleman's time is reserved.

00:00:34.120 The gentleman from Massachusetts.

00:00:36.120 Mr. Speaker, following the vote on the previous question, Representative DeLuro will offer a

00:00:42.120 motion to commit.

00:00:43.120 I yield one minute to the gentleman from Connecticut to discuss that proposal.

00:00:46.120 The gentleman from Connecticut is recognized for one minute.

00:00:48.120 When we conclude this rules debate, I will offer a motion to commit to add the expanded

00:00:53.120 child tax credit.

00:00:54.120 In the face of the Republican majority's draconian agenda, we want to provide a tax

00:00:59.120 cut, yes, to children and to families to make ends meet.

00:01:03.120 The child tax credit is the most effective tool we have in the fight against rising costs.

00:01:08.120 An antidote to inflation, it is about financial stability for families.

00:01:13.120 Nothing, nothing in this rules package helps American families.

00:01:16.120 Make no mistake.

00:01:17.120 A vote against the motion to commit means Republicans are willing to raise taxes on working families.

00:01:23.120 The expanded child tax credit was the largest tax cut for working families in generations.

00:01:28.120 A lifeline to the middle class.

00:01:30.120 It drove the largest decrease in child poverty in history.

00:01:33.120 People could pay their electric bills, fill their gas tanks, pay for childcare.

00:01:37.120 It reached more than 61 million children, lifted 4 million out of poverty, led to a 26% decline

00:01:44.120 in hunger in families with children.

00:01:46.120 There has never been a federal program that has such a profound impact in such a short amount

00:01:54.120 of time.

00:01:55.120 Do the right thing.

00:01:56.120 Vote yes on the motion to commit.

00:01:58.120 I yield back.

00:01:59.120 Gentleman from Oklahoma.

00:02:00.120 Okay.

00:02:01.120 Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

00:02:02.120 This is Stephen K.

00:02:03.120 Bannon.

00:02:04.120 It's Monday, 9 January in the year of our Lord, 2023.

00:02:08.120 It's been a wild week.

00:02:09.120 First week, it's the rules package being debated.

00:02:11.120 And I think you're seeing democracy at work.

00:02:13.120 Right now, we're going to try to show a balance of Republican and Democrat.

00:02:16.120 Republicans for the package, Democrats opposed to the package, particularly certain elements

00:02:21.120 of it.

00:02:22.120 A great learning experience.

00:02:24.120 We hope to show a lot more of this in the house, which will be quite combative as it

00:02:28.120 should be.

00:02:29.120 That's what democracy is about.

00:02:30.120 You're in the war room.

00:02:31.120 We got a lot to do.

00:02:32.120 I got a lot of people to juggle and we got to go back to this floor debate.

00:02:35.120 Also go to Grace Chong and Mo Bannon.

00:02:38.120 I think over at war room is you can see right on getter.

00:02:42.120 We got a live stream going in a live chat there.

00:02:44.120 So when we get, we're gonna have an immersive experience.

00:02:46.120 You're going to have to try to juggle this.

00:02:48.120 There's a lot of stuff going on.

00:02:50.120 I've got Koffler on Ukraine.

00:02:52.120 I've got Natalie Winters on investigative report.

00:02:55.120 Also some discussion about Twitter and Brazil.

00:02:58.120 But Matthew Tierman joins me.

00:03:00.120 Matthew, there's some breaking news out of Brazil.

00:03:02.120 Can you get us up to speed?

00:03:04.120 Yeah.

00:03:05.120 So it is actually, you know, the correlation.

00:03:08.120 You and I, we sometimes have a tendency to be a little flippant in our aggressiveness,

00:03:12.120 but we are not when it comes to Brazil.

00:03:14.120 Stalinism is setting in quick.

00:03:15.120 The correlations with J6 have spiked today.

00:03:18.120 A lot of videos floating around that show that there was many agent provocateur, that there were handpicked lefties, recognizable, that were put in there ahead of the mass throng of protesters who marched to first the National Congress building.

00:03:36.120 And once they got in, the mails from be gone, the destruction, the breaking windows, very, very orchestrated.

00:03:42.120 The mosaic of video footage that is now coming forward as people who had it are able to upload it is overwhelming.

00:03:50.120 At the same time, we have a concentration camp has actually been built.

00:03:54.120 1,200 people have been rounded up.

00:03:56.120 As of this morning, we had a number of 400.

00:03:58.120 It's up to 1,200.

00:04:00.120 And they're being detained in the federal police's main gymnasium in Brazil, packed in.

00:04:06.120 I have sources telling me they're getting from the people in there.

00:04:09.120 They're not giving them water.

00:04:10.120 They're not giving them bathroom breaks.

00:04:11.120 There's a lot of elderly people there.

00:04:13.120 And someone, a woman has just died.

00:04:16.120 And no one has access to lawyers.

00:04:18.120 Those who already have counsel, who have persons.

00:04:20.120 Hold on.

00:04:21.120 How do you, whoa, whoa.

00:04:23.120 Slow down.

00:04:24.120 Take a deep breath.

00:04:25.120 How do you know that someone's died?

00:04:27.120 Who that verified that?

00:04:29.120 I've had that verified by five or six people who were either in there or talking to those

00:04:34.120 people in there.

00:04:35.120 And there's video of people in looking in very, very rough shape and like sardines in

00:04:40.120 a can.

00:04:41.120 So this is looking like Brazil is treating their countrymen lower than Geneva Accords standards,

00:04:46.120 which is not surprising when you realize who is taking control.

00:04:49.120 The Stalinist mentality is we will break as many eggs to make our socialist utopia omelet.

00:04:54.120 And that is what they're doing.

00:04:56.120 We predicted gulags.

00:04:57.120 We didn't think it would happen this quickly.

00:04:59.120 But, hey, J6 was a model.

00:05:00.120 If it could happen in the U.S., it could certainly happen in Brazil with those who are now wielding 0.99

00:05:05.120 the full control of all that.

00:05:07.120 I want to be, you know, they were asking, they were asking about the extradition of Bolsonaro.

00:05:12.120 They were asking about, oh, Americans like Steve Bannon instigating this.

00:05:16.120 MSNBC was Admiral Kirby says, hey, they talked to to Lula.

00:05:20.120 No mention.

00:05:21.120 I don't think any mention of he didn't want to talk about.

00:05:23.120 But it looked like no mention of Bolsonaro, no mention of of us.

00:05:26.120 But they said there is going to be investigation.

00:05:28.120 We would love an investigation.

00:05:30.120 And we think that where Lula should start is to get to the report.

00:05:34.120 Matthew, real quickly, it's day 72 of the crisis.

00:05:37.120 Can you get MSNBC?

00:05:39.120 Can you get Nicole Wallace up to speed on what she's missed on the first since they've just

00:05:43.120 covered it starting today on the first 69 or 70 days?

00:05:47.120 What did they miss, sir?

00:05:49.120 Well, I mean, they've missed the entire breakdown of a constitutional republic's quick descent

00:05:55.120 into autocracy, starting from the judiciary controlling their levers and breaking down the

00:06:00.120 separation of powers.

00:06:01.120 The duty of a constitutional republic is that power is checked, especially historically in

00:06:05.120 the U.S., but in parliamentary systems in Europe as well.

00:06:08.120 Well, Brazil, and I think that Bolsonaro did not do enough when he was in power to check

00:06:13.120 the power of the judiciary.

00:06:15.120 And that is a sad state of affairs because now they have total power.

00:06:18.120 I would argue that Lula is not the most powerful man in Brazil.

00:06:21.120 Nowhere near.

00:06:22.120 It's Alexander de Moraes, the head of the Supreme Court and the Supreme Electoral Court,

00:06:26.120 who has pulled all the levers to spring him from jail, to expunge his record, to oversee

00:06:32.120 and anoint himself head of the subsidiary court.

00:06:34.120 That's a conflict of interest.

00:06:35.120 Head of the Supreme Court.

00:06:36.120 And now he appointed himself head of the electoral court so that he could administer and oversee

00:06:40.120 the election.

00:06:41.120 So you've got one guy with more unilateral powers. 0.80

00:06:44.120 He's behaving as a corrupted, despotic monarch.

00:06:48.120 This is not a constitutional republic any longer.

00:06:50.120 And that is a scary thing.

00:06:52.120 Can you tell, get in morning Mika and people up to speed on the first step that Lula should

00:06:59.120 do in his investigation should be read the report from the military about their inability

00:07:04.120 to really complete an audit?

00:07:05.120 What would be the highlight?

00:07:06.120 What would be the one or two things you would have Lula focus on in MSNBC, BBC, CNN,

00:07:13.120 everybody?

00:07:14.120 What would you have them focus on, sir?

00:07:16.120 Well, if they checked, Mika's not returning my calls.

00:07:19.120 I met her once and she didn't seem too friendly in Europe when she saw what side of the divide

00:07:24.120 I was on.

00:07:25.120 But these people are willfully blind.

00:07:27.120 As I've had conversations today with the mainstream press, AP, Washington Post, the

00:07:32.120 usual suspects, now they're paying attention.

00:07:34.120 The revolution would not be televised with 10 million people on the street, but now that

00:07:38.120 they have their southern border January 6th that they can utilize for a global narrative

00:07:44.120 set, they are very attentive.

00:07:46.120 And I've had several reporters hang up on me when I wouldn't take the bait on the framing

00:07:50.120 they were going with.

00:07:51.120 Trump, Bolsonaro, Bannon, Jason Miller, Matthew Tierraman, organizing the coup from Mar-a-Lago

00:07:57.120 or Washington.

00:07:58.120 I said, that is fake news.

00:08:00.120 Aren't you interested in the censorship of journalists or Lula da Silva being unconstitutionally

00:08:05.120 let out of prison and illegally having his record expunged?

00:08:08.120 No interest.

00:08:09.120 Crickets usually ending up in getting hung up on it because they realized I wasn't going to

00:08:13.120 take their bait.

00:08:14.120 So we know how they operate.

00:08:16.120 And they are working very, very hard to make hay with this new opportune fact pattern from

00:08:22.120 yesterday.

00:08:23.120 And they're going to take the bait of Lula.

00:08:25.120 You've got to get, by the way, Lula, you want legitimacy. 1.00

00:08:29.120 You've got to turn over those machines.

00:08:30.120 You've got to get to the bottom of what happened to the machines.

00:08:32.120 By the way, let's not hold it against Mika.

00:08:35.120 You have that effect upon many women you meet the first time.

00:08:38.120 I'm Matthew Tierraman.

00:08:39.120 What's your social media, Matthew?

00:08:40.120 So people can follow you during this Brazil, this major event in Brazil, the Brazil.

00:08:46.120 I call it the Brazilian spring.

00:08:48.120 First off, that last dig made you sound like my Jewish mother.

00:08:52.120 So thank you for that.

00:08:53.120 I was a little homesick.

00:08:54.120 Matthew Tierraman, M-A-T-T-H-E-W-T-Y-R-M-A-N-D at Scatter, Twitter, War Room, and hopefully

00:09:01.120 be on Tucker tonight as well.

00:09:02.120 So tune in for that.

00:09:03.120 Okay, look for you on Tucker Carlson tonight and Matthew Tierraman.

00:09:08.120 Fantastic job you've been doing on everything related to Brazil.

00:09:12.120 Can we go to the House floor for a second?

00:09:14.120 I want to bring Natalie Winters here about Brazil, and I've got to bring Koffler in about

00:09:17.120 Ukraine.

00:09:18.120 Let's go back to the floor.

00:09:20.120 Cut out the salary for an employee he didn't like or thought was acting improperly.

00:09:26.120 That was not appropriate, and, of course, that did not prevail.

00:09:30.120 But I regret that we don't have an opportunity to look at these rules in the way that so many

00:09:40.120 on this floor talked about doing.

00:09:42.120 First of all, of course, they're not single issues.

00:09:45.120 There are a lot of issues.

00:09:46.120 It's the rules.

00:09:48.120 Secondly, there are ways and means to provide for consideration in a transparent, open fashion

00:09:57.120 fashion in which I could offer an amendment to a rule that I thought was not in the benefit

00:10:04.120 of this House or the American people.

00:10:07.120 Unfortunately, the process, which is the very first process under which we have considered

00:10:13.120 a piece of business, not necessarily legislation, and that is ironic.

00:10:22.120 But it is what it is.

00:10:25.120 But it will, as such a process does, force us to vote against a piece of organizational

00:10:36.120 rules because we don't agree with some of those rules.

00:10:41.120 And that's what I will do.

00:10:42.120 Let me come back.

00:10:43.120 This debate is between Democrats and Republicans on this rules package, kind of revolutionary

00:10:48.120 because you've got real input and real stroke and real power from the House Freedom Caucus,

00:10:54.120 the MAGA wing of this, as you saw last week.

00:10:57.120 I want to bring in Natalie Winters.

00:10:59.120 Natalie, a couple of things.

00:11:00.120 Number one, explain to me, and I'm having James Zircon later.

00:11:03.120 What is this situation with this, the criticism now of Elon Musk?

00:11:08.120 He shut down the Brazilian team.

00:11:10.120 And I think they're accusing him of being part of this or being part of the problem because

00:11:16.120 he shut down the entire Brazil operation and included their quote unquote misinformation

00:11:21.120 team.

00:11:22.120 Can you get us, I think Rolling Stone, Washington Post, everybody now is putting stories up on

00:11:26.120 this.

00:11:27.120 What's going on with Twitter?

00:11:28.120 Sure.

00:11:29.120 So if you remember, Elon Musk took over Twitter in October.

00:11:33.120 So now, given what happened in Brazil, a lot of the mainstream media outlets, they're working

00:11:37.120 in concert like they always do to push a very specific narrative.

00:11:41.120 And that is that in November, Elon Musk allegedly fired basically all of the Brazil based Twitter

00:11:48.120 team.

00:11:49.120 They don't really get into the specifics of why, but because of this mass firing, a lot of people

00:11:53.120 who are involved in content moderation in Brazil were also laid off.

00:11:58.120 But what's really interesting, and I think kind of the buried lead of this Rolling Stone

00:12:02.120 article, there's a very telling sentence where they say, ever since this cohort of people

00:12:07.120 who are based in Brazil who work for Twitter have been fired, the engagement of right wing

00:12:12.120 accounts on Twitter, specifically those that are pro Bolsonaro, has skyrocketed right to unprecedented

00:12:17.120 levels.

00:12:18.120 And that shows you once you take the restrictions off these social media platforms, populist

00:12:23.120 candidates like Bolsonaro, you know, the right wing people, conservatives, they just are

00:12:28.120 naturally organically more prominent and more popular than these kind of artificially astroturf

00:12:33.120 left wing narratives.

00:12:34.120 So that's why they need these censorship campaigns so hard.

00:12:37.120 But I think what's really important here to bring it back to what's going on in the United

00:12:41.120 States is I think they're really trying to use this example of what's happening in Brazil

00:12:45.120 with these election protests and what's going on at these federal buildings as sort of a

00:12:50.120 case study, as sort of a warning sign to people here in the United States as to why we need

00:12:56.120 social media censorship, right?

00:12:58.120 Why disinformation, why misinformation is so deadly?

00:13:02.120 And I'll make it even, I think, more full circle because I think Brazil is important in

00:13:07.120 its own right, right, in regards to natural resources and the Chinese Communist Party.

00:13:11.120 But in terms of the election integrity battle here in the United States, part of the reason that we

00:13:16.120 haven't seen, I think, really any real inquiry or investigation into the fraud that occurred in

00:13:21.120 Brazil is because if people remember the nonpartisan group that was brought in to be

00:13:26.120 responsible for election observation in Brazil, right?

00:13:29.120 It was supposed to be nonpartisan, no conflicts of interest.

00:13:32.120 They were given sole access to really vet these machines before they were used was the Carter Center.

00:13:37.120 Now, we have a report up on the War Room site talking about how this group is intimately involved,

00:13:42.120 including receiving money from the Chinese Communist Party and their various foreign influence groups.

00:13:46.120 But do you know where else the Carter Center was heavily active and brought in as the independent,

00:13:51.120 nonpartisan election observer? Swing states in the United States election.

00:13:55.120 I think that was, I think, and aren't they all over Arizona, for instance, in the Carter organization?

00:14:01.120 And you beat me to it.

00:14:02.120 And Arizona is one of those three states, ma'am.

00:14:04.120 Exactly.

00:14:05.120 Arizona.

00:14:06.120 I remember you reporting.

00:14:07.120 I remember you reporting.

00:14:08.120 Yeah, you took my lead away from me.

00:14:11.120 And the funny, the funniest thing, there were two elections in all of 2022 that they put out post election statements about saying that no election fraud occurred

00:14:21.120 and that people who say otherwise are engaging in misinformation and disinformation.

00:14:25.120 And you know what those two elections were?

00:14:27.120 Brazil and Arizona.

00:14:29.120 So this is an example of how there really is both a globalist and a global concerted effort.

00:14:35.120 Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho. 0.61

00:14:38.120 That is blockbuster.

00:14:39.120 Go back and hit rewind just for a second.

00:14:42.120 What was their report?

00:14:44.120 Not that they would ever be in business with the CCP to drop this.

00:14:47.120 What would they give us that report again?

00:14:50.120 So the Carter Center, I know we have limited time today, so I won't get into it,

00:14:54.120 but the Carter Center has taken funds on the think tank and academic side of it from a group called the China United States Exchange Foundation

00:15:02.120 to put out reports that are basically pro the United States and the rest of the world collaborating with the Chinese Communist Party.

00:15:09.120 But even more nefariously, the Carter Center since the 1990s has actually partnered and signed memorandums of understanding

00:15:17.120 with the actual Chinese Communist Party, not influence groups, but the Chinese Communist Party itself to help administer elections overseas in China.

00:15:26.120 They've sponsored delegations for Chinese Communist Party officials to come into the United States to watch how we run our elections here.

00:15:34.120 So this is a group that, you know, to its core, not only is it obviously Chinese Communist Party funded,

00:15:40.120 but it's really a globalist, and that obviously runs in line with the Chinese Communist Party,

00:15:45.120 but they're also funded by George Soros' Open Society Foundations,

00:15:48.120 Pfizer funds them, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

00:15:51.120 So my point is there's repeat offenders, and what they're trying to push the narrative here with the social media censorship

00:15:57.120 is that if we don't have censorship to the nines, if we aren't suppressing any person who is marginally conservative in support of Bolsonaro,

00:16:06.120 you're going to get January 6th like events.

00:16:09.120 So they're trying to create this, I would argue, a very fake narrative.

00:16:13.120 And that's why you see all these mainstream media outlets kind of pushing a similar story, right?

00:16:17.120 It's like the information laundering process.

00:16:19.120 It starts with the Washington Post and then it trickles down to the Rolling Stones of the world.

00:16:26.120 Hang on. Hang on one second.

00:16:27.120 I want you to hold because I'm gonna come back for your investigative report.

00:16:30.120 Tell me about the conservative handles on Twitter.

00:16:35.120 You're saying, and particularly things around Brazil, as soon as the restrictions were taken off,

00:16:40.120 you're saying these things exploded? Is that they had tremendous following?

00:16:45.120 I want to read a direct quote from the Rolling Stone article because it's so telling.

00:16:50.120 The takeover, so this is talking about Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter.

00:16:54.120 The takeover has since coincided with an engagement boom for Brazilian right wing accounts on the platform.

00:17:02.120 The Rolling Stone, you hear it there. It's not a conspiracy theory.

00:17:05.120 Shadow bans are indeed real. 0.97

00:17:07.120 The rest of the piece goes on to say, really, it was, I think the funniest thing is they're saying, you know,

00:17:13.120 once we stopped content moderation, right wing accounts, pro Bolsonaro accounts surged.

00:17:19.120 Basically, they're saying once we stopped artificially altering engagement, account accessibility,

00:17:26.120 people's voices were actually heard.

00:17:28.120 And I think it's sort of a parallel, like we were talking about with the Carter Center and elections and votes.

00:17:34.120 And to quote, you know, Jamie Raskin, let's have an incredibly intense investigation into the legitimacy of these election results.

00:17:43.120 Let's not have a dubious investigation. Let's do it.

00:17:47.120 So I think that the Rolling Stone can be one of the first pieces of evidence that we cite.

00:17:53.120 This all gets into the pre bunking. Also, they want to pre bunk.

00:17:58.120 Natalie, hang on for one second, because I got to get you your investigation over the Daily Beast.

00:18:03.120 But I want to bring in Rebecca Koffler. By the way, the house has gone into recess.

00:18:06.120 So we would cut back to the house floor. And I don't think the vote's gone on yet.

00:18:10.120 I'm looking at my ever crack producer, Mo and and Grace, I think, are still up on the live stream.

00:18:17.120 Can I by the way, this is a this is a quote right now from James Comer.

00:18:24.120 There's a new day dawning in in the house right here.

00:18:28.120 James Comer, who is going to set to chair the oversight committee, his quote.

00:18:33.120 President Biden has been very critical of President Trump, mistakenly taking classified documents to the residents or wherever whenever or wherever.

00:18:42.120 And now it seems he may have done the same thing. How ironic.

00:18:46.120 It looks like there's a breaking story about about Biden and some classified documentation.

00:18:52.120 So Comer, I can tell you right now that the Republican establishment is not excited by some of these chairmen that are being picked in.

00:19:00.120 Bill Christos already called them election deniers, a full MAGA that the conservatives and the MAGA and the populace are really taking over these key committees.

00:19:09.120 They're not the Republicans. You're getting you're getting as tough a statement from some of these establishment Republicans as you're getting for Democrats.

00:19:17.120 I want to go to Rebecca Koffler. Rebecca, you've got an amazing piece that you came out with, I think, this morning.

00:19:23.120 But I want to get into I want to make sure everybody knows because Angus King came back and the independent the senator who's independent, but caucuses with the Democrats up in Maine.

00:19:34.120 He went to Ukraine over the Christmas holidays. He came back. His report was big headlines.

00:19:41.120 This is trench warfare. It reminds me of World War one. Now, we told people back 10 months ago when the slaughter started, it was going to be World War one type warfare.

00:19:53.120 The Russians keep pounding away. There's some report today, and I don't know if it's real. Do we have that clip? I can play the T up.

00:19:59.120 Do we have the clip ready to go the with the map? Is that the clip one? Is it ready to go?

00:20:06.120 Let me know. I got a clip. I want to play for Rebecca. Yeah, here it is right here. Let's play this. Let's play the clip for us about the 600 casualties in the Ukrainian army. Let's go and hear it.

00:20:16.120 On day 319 of Vladimir Putin's 10 day military operation. They're claiming an attack that they've identified over the last 24 hours.

00:20:24.120 Ukrainian troop concentrations in a building in the town of Kramatorsk that we can see in the center there and that they attacked it with rockets and have killed over 600.

00:20:36.120 Now, that's interesting. They've said it's in retaliation to the Ukrainian New Year's Eve strike in the city of Mekiva that the Ukrainians claim that they killed 400 Russians in and the Russians said that they had lost 89 in that.

00:20:50.120 Rebecca, you wrote, I think, one of the definitive books on Putin about how he thinks as a KGB officer and how he thinks and particularly his.

00:21:00.120 He's you can't say it any other way. He has it has a virulent hatred of of certain elements of the United States of America. Right.

00:21:08.480 The but you wrote this book about it. But there's been so much misinformation out there about this war.

00:21:13.040 And you've always been kind of a steady hand on this to say, look, the Russian military is the right.

00:21:18.040 And by the way, people should know, Rebecca is a former senior D.I.A. defense intelligence official.

00:21:24.020 And that's what I call the they do. The heavy lift. The CIA is kind of a Ivy League set up the workers.

00:21:32.040 The people get the heavy. The heavy lifts come from defense intelligence.

00:21:35.720 What's your assessment? Because you're seeing this back and forth.

00:21:37.800 But every day I'm seeing horrific images every day of the Russians just digging in. 1.00

00:21:43.400 And this looks like we're now back to attrition warfare.

00:21:45.960 You saw that huge map, which I love, which I think ITV or Channel 4 over there does,

00:21:50.380 is that whole whole huge map that shows you eastern Ukraine kind of under control of the Russians.

00:21:55.520 Get us up to speed on exactly what's happening.

00:21:58.100 This is a real tragedy, Steve. We're entering the hottest phase yet in this war.

00:22:04.920 Why? It's because all of the three sides, the three parties to this conflict, Moscow, Kiev and Washington, are postured to escalate.

00:22:15.580 Zelensky is emboldened by his ability to convince Washington to part with our money, with U.S. taxpayers' money.

00:22:24.760 Remember the stellar performance that he gave to Congress just a few days before Christmas, you know, coincidentally, right?

00:22:34.560 So we're providing right now 50 percent of Ukraine's GDP in terms of money and very sophisticated weaponry.

00:22:45.440 And so Ukraine's chief military intelligence of military intelligence, Kirilla Budanov,

00:22:54.160 just vowed that Ukraine is going to strike deeper and deeper into the Russian territory. 0.64

00:23:00.840 Well, is Putin really going to just sit back and wait until Moscow is decapitated?

00:23:07.180 Of course not.

00:23:08.380 Putin is also postured to escalate.

00:23:11.440 He just gave a nine-minute speech where he basically galvanized the entire Russian people.

00:23:20.160 He put the entire country of Russia on a wartime footing, both from the military standpoint and from the economic standpoint.

00:23:28.640 And, of course, Washington keeps expanding the scope and scale of the weaponry we're providing to them.

00:23:38.480 It's no longer the blankets and the night vision goggles like during the Obama administration.

00:23:44.160 We are talking right now top-of-the-line missile defense system, you know, the Patriot.

00:23:50.720 We're talking about HIMARS, and recently we're talking about a Bradley fighting vehicle.

00:23:58.080 This is a tank killer.

00:23:59.740 So we right now steadily are climbing what we call in the intelligence business escalation ladder.

00:24:06.780 And coming from the intelligence community, we gamed this all out, right?

00:24:11.140 So every single war game that I participated in ended up in a nuclear conflict.

00:24:18.740 And that is because Putin and the Moscow regime view Kiev as part of their strategic security perimeter,

00:24:26.700 similar to our Monroe Doctrine, right?

00:24:28.560 Remember, in 1962, the Cuban Missile Crisis.

00:24:31.880 Would we have ever tolerated the Russians, you know, having their nuclear weapons 1.00

00:24:37.820 and having any kind of their military hardware next to our borders?

00:24:42.640 Well, it's the same thing.

00:24:44.300 He views that as an existential threat for which he's going to do everything to neutralize it.

00:24:51.680 And just to demonstrate how they view this conflict and this threat as existential,

00:24:59.940 I'll give you a quote by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who on December 28, he warned in a speech,

00:25:07.880 that carrying out a decapitation blow targeting the Russian strongman and physically eliminating the head of the Russian state is going to be responded with a very serious action.

00:25:27.220 So they're basically thinking that we are coming out for Putin's head. 0.97

00:25:31.540 That's how they view it.

00:25:32.740 And this is why this conflict is going to end up, if it's not stopped, into World War III, really.

00:25:41.860 Okay.

00:25:43.380 Hang on for one second.

00:25:44.420 We'll bring you back after the break.

00:25:45.660 I've got Natalie Winters for her investigation, Jane Zirkle.

00:25:49.320 There's breaking news here.

00:25:50.740 Jake Sherman over at Punchbowl, which is on Capitol Hill, Comer, and this is why there's a new day dawning, okay?

00:25:58.460 And I realize a lot of people have been disappointed about a lot of things, but, hey, there's a new day dawning.

00:26:03.280 Comer is telling, I think, Bresna, one of the guys from Punchbowl, that he will, this is Comer,

00:26:10.920 he will send a letter to the White House Counsel's Office and National Archives tomorrow on the, wait for it,

00:26:20.160 classified documents found at University of Pennsylvania at that Biden center, the Biden deal he had,

00:26:25.820 underwritten as Natalie Winters, remember, as I think, by partly by the Chinese Communist Party.

00:26:31.200 Classified documents.

00:26:32.520 Whoa, baby.

00:26:34.900 Man, oh, man, oh, man.

00:26:36.460 Can't believe it.

00:26:37.140 Okay, we're going to take a short commercial break.

00:26:38.540 There's a recess in the House, and there's rules debate.

00:26:41.960 We've got Natalie Winters.

00:26:44.040 She's got a bombshell report about the Daily Beast.

00:26:47.020 We've got Rebecca Koffler.

00:26:48.400 A lot more questions to talk to her about Ukraine.

00:26:50.400 Jane Zirkle is going to tell us about social media, what's happening down in Brazil.

00:26:54.520 Maybe even play a little clip for Nicole Wallace.

00:26:56.420 Nicole Wallace not loving on Steve Bannon this afternoon.

00:26:59.680 Given stink eye.

00:27:01.320 That's okay.

00:27:01.960 We can take it.

00:31:29.440 As they're voting on the rules package, this is going to get done tonight.

00:31:47.660 Pretty intense debate.

00:31:49.640 Looks like the Republicans have been whipped.

00:31:51.240 They're all in line.

00:31:51.920 And we're going to continue on.

00:31:54.780 By the way, the show's here as we spend more time focused on the House.

00:31:58.600 And there's a new day dawning.

00:32:00.340 Already, the Justice Department has admitted that they notified, I think, Biden in the fall about something that happened when he was vice president.

00:32:09.640 Natalie Winters knows this about the University of Pennsylvania.

00:32:13.040 It seems like he left classified information there.

00:32:16.420 The reason why you say, well, why did this happen, Steve?

00:32:18.700 Why did this come up today?

00:32:20.180 It came up today because we're in charge now.

00:32:22.520 Comer's in charge of oversight.

00:32:25.000 That's where all of a sudden you've seen this.

00:32:26.460 Why didn't it come and tell people last fall?

00:32:29.120 Did they tell the minority last fall?

00:32:30.600 They tell people what's going on before the election, before the election?

00:32:34.660 No.

00:32:35.660 The Justice Department, you're going to find out, suppress this information.

00:32:38.580 This is exactly what goes on. 0.98

00:32:40.340 These people are totally corrupt.

00:32:42.120 And this is, why did it disappear today? 0.81

00:32:43.920 Why all of a sudden today we have Comer and everybody because, guess what?

00:32:47.780 These rats, you're going to see, you're going to be turned over rocks.

00:32:50.440 You're going to have cockroaches running everywhere. 0.95

00:32:53.040 So I know people said, hey, wish we had won more seats.

00:32:55.780 Wish we had done that.

00:32:56.680 Wish this.

00:32:57.300 Wish that.

00:32:57.740 Got it.

00:32:58.440 But we got what we got.

00:32:59.840 And I'm telling you, if people roll hard, you're going to start the process of saving this nation.

00:33:04.100 I got news for Zelensky because I think the foreign, let's bring a call for her. 1.00

00:33:07.500 We just gave them, I think, $50 billion out of this package that was snuck in the middle

00:33:13.800 of the night in the omnibus.

00:33:16.560 They just announced yesterday another $4 billion, I think it was, $3.2 or $4 billion of additional

00:33:22.940 aid outside that package.

00:33:24.960 And correct me if I'm wrong, did the foreign minister come on TV over the weekend?

00:33:27.940 I saw clips from her saying that the West needs to actually increase it.

00:33:32.360 It's going to take more and more and more.

00:33:34.560 Did that happen in the last couple of days that what we've given so far is not even close

00:33:39.500 to being good enough?

00:33:40.220 Tell us what happened.

00:33:42.160 Oh, they continue to request more and more and request is putting it mildly.

00:33:48.900 They continue to shame us into giving them more money, claiming that it's not a charity,

00:33:55.980 but it is actually an investment.

00:33:58.460 And even Washington officialdom right now openly justifies this investment as bleeding Russia

00:34:10.160 off of its military material and its military force.

00:34:17.100 So this is what's happening.

00:34:18.620 We're effectively fighting a proxy war using our own weaponry and Ukrainian soldiers.

00:34:26.060 Ukraine is the largest country in Europe, and right now it's being depopulated, Steve.

00:34:32.600 Ukrainians have lost about 120,000, between 120 to 140,000 people.

00:34:42.500 And on top of that, the Russian casualties, and we have a quarter of a million right now of

00:34:50.120 military age, child-producing males, dead or injured in Europe.

00:34:57.720 And it's nowhere, the end is nowhere.

00:35:00.920 Hold on, is that a combination of Russia?

00:35:04.740 Because I heard Russia, I thought Russia was 100,000, Ukraine was 100,000, then you had 0.96

00:35:09.080 40,000 civilians.

00:35:10.380 Are you giving me, walk me through your set of math.

00:35:12.820 I'm giving you the total of Russians and Ukrainians combined is quarter of a million right now.

00:35:22.860 There's 200,000 total of military personnel plus about 40,000 civilians.

00:35:31.860 Okay.

00:35:31.980 Do they understand that the gravy train's over?

00:35:39.200 I mean, our assessment is zero.

00:35:41.020 They get no money.

00:35:41.720 Let Europe, let France, let Germany. 0.89

00:35:43.600 Just a report in the paper that Germany had the highest non-participation in their military.

00:35:49.040 They're all becoming conscientious objectors because they don't want to fight in Ukraine.

00:35:53.600 They want American boys and girls to go over there with our money. 0.99

00:35:56.660 Do they understand we're not going to send battle tanks?

00:35:59.180 We're not going to authorize jet aircraft.

00:36:01.940 We're not going to authorize long-range or mid-range missiles that can hit into Russia.

00:36:06.820 We want this thing.

00:36:07.660 We want them to get to the negotiating table.

00:36:09.660 And that map you saw up there, hey, I guess that map's going to be whatever it's going to be.

00:36:13.940 But they're going to have to get to the—and this thing, happy talk about an audit of what went over.

00:36:17.680 Forget that.

00:36:18.520 How about this?

00:36:19.480 We'll audit later.

00:36:20.380 No money right now.

00:36:21.280 You know they're skimming it right off the top.

00:36:23.420 How much actually gets to the front-line soldiers?

00:36:26.040 How much actually gets to the people?

00:36:27.240 And how much is stolen by the oil guards?

00:36:28.500 Rebecca, I've got to bounce because I've got to go back to the House floor.

00:36:31.740 Let me know when that vote is done.

00:36:33.180 Rebecca, how do people get to you?

00:36:34.640 Read this amazing article you've got up now and all your other information, including your book.

00:36:42.640 My book is Putin's Playbook.

00:36:45.760 It's available anywhere on Amazon and any other store.

00:36:49.400 I actually predicted this war because it was all gamed out, as I said, in the intelligence community.

00:36:56.080 And every single war game ended up in U.S. boys and girls being deployed into the theater.

00:37:03.940 This is where we are marching steadily.

00:37:06.260 I'm on Getter, Twitter, and True Social.

00:37:09.620 Rebecca at 0132.

00:37:12.520 Thanks for having me.

00:37:15.100 Let's fight.

00:37:16.820 I mean, we need to prevent socialism from poisoning this country.

00:37:23.180 And we need to elect the right leaders so that they can put America back together in order and the world back together in order.

00:37:31.260 Because Biden has created chaos, not only in our country, but all over the world.

00:37:36.520 Thank you for having me, Steve.

00:37:39.060 America first.

00:37:39.960 Thank you very much, Rebecca Koffler.

00:37:41.340 By the way, you talk about war games and you got, excuse me, you talk about war games.

00:37:48.180 CSIS had this result of a war game on CNN that talked about an invasion of Taiwan that would happen in 2025 or 2026.

00:37:57.320 The results of the war game were that the United States, the Seventh Fleet, the Pacific Fleet, were able to hold off the invasion of Taiwan, which is Silicon Valley West.

00:38:07.000 But it would come at a steep cost.

00:38:09.280 The cost would be two carrier battle groups, essentially at the bottom of the Taiwan Straits.

00:38:15.520 Thousands and thousands of casualties.

00:38:17.640 But the Americans would prevail.

00:38:19.580 Now, I don't think that didn't include South Korea.

00:38:21.620 Japan didn't include cyber, unconventional warfare.

00:38:24.380 But it's a very scary report that even, it's almost, I'm not saying a Pyrrhic victory, but the requirements for that victory were pretty stunning.

00:38:33.140 Two carrier battle groups.

00:38:34.120 That has not happened since the darkest days of World War II.

00:38:38.440 In fact, the darkest and earliest days of World War II, if you take the kamikazes hitting the later, smaller aircraft carriers. 0.95

00:38:44.740 Let me go to Natalie Winters.

00:38:46.140 Natalie, and by the way, can we, just let me know when the vote's over on the House floor, because I'm trying to maintain two things.

00:38:50.920 Natalie, I want to get to this Daily Beast investigative.

00:38:56.440 Tell us, how did you get involved in this, and what's the result?

00:38:59.320 Because it's a pretty jaw-dropping, ma'am.

00:39:01.740 Well, I think most people in War Room probably know me from my early reporting, which has to do with how the Chinese Communist Party really has bought and paid for so many of the journalists, though I won't even use that word because it's not an accurate description.

00:39:16.580 But the paid propagandists in the mainstream media, much like everything in the United States, a lot of the talking points that you see come out of the media, I would argue, are made in China.

00:39:27.100 And I've done a lot of intense reporting into how the Chinese Communist Party has, you know, multi-billion dollar political warfare operations to target journalists at outlets ranging from MSNBC to NBC to CNN to The New York Times.

00:39:40.940 So I thought it was very, very interesting, kind of with that context in mind, that a journalist whose name you probably see on your Twitter or Getter feed quite a lot, because he always seems to be breaking, I would argue, dubiously sourced stories attacking the character.

00:39:56.100 And I would say the, you know, after work activities of some of the nation's leading conservative voices.

00:40:03.560 He was responsible for breaking stories about Herschel Walker allegedly paying for an abortion and having a secret son.

00:40:10.600 And most recently, he actually alleged that CPAC chairman Matt Schlapp had groped a male staffer, I believe, last year.

00:40:19.720 But those allegations aside, I think it's very, very curious that this reporter who works for The Daily Beast, Roger Sullenberger, formerly worked for a now-sanctioned company that is tied to the Chinese Communist Party's People's Liberation Army, a company known as DJI, which is a drone-making company that is actively involved in the surveillance of China, but really tries to get American companies, including federal contractors, to use their products.

00:40:47.520 And there's a lot of controversy. And like I said, the firm has been sanctioned and blacklisted because they comply with the Chinese Communist Party's request to turn over data, surveillance tapes on American soil to China, to Beijing.

00:41:01.800 And what's so interesting, too, Roger Sullenberger, who loves to parade with this, you know, air of moral superiority on Twitter, well, this company that he used to work for, again, that's an employment that's conveniently missing from his bio on the Daily Beast website.

00:41:16.060 But they were actually primarily sanctioned because a lot of the surveillance technology that they have developed or that DJI uses has been used in the genocide of Uyghurs in Xinjiang and China.

00:41:28.600 And what's so interesting is that a previous company that Roger Sullenberger used to work for, called 3DR, which was an American drone company, actually partnered with DJI to give them their own surveillance company, their kind of proprietary surveillance system.

00:41:45.360 It's unclear whether or not that was exactly used in the surveillance of Uyghurs in Xinjiang, but it really is a perfect example, I think, of how American companies have routinely aided and abetted not just the Chinese Communist Party's atrocities against their own people, but have allowed for these Chinese Communist Party to really ascend on the global stage and global marketplace, 0.77

00:42:03.940 all the while calling people like me and you and other conservatives, you know, evil, making these spurious, dubious allegations.

00:42:11.540 And it's just a perfect example of how the mainstream media really should establish their headquarters in Beijing and not here in the United States.

00:42:18.300 So this Sullenberger, has he ever admitted, I mean, on any of these reports, does he ever say, hey, I work for a CCP, you know, sponsored company as he goes after, I don't know, whether it's Matt Schlapp or Herschel Walker, I heard he's gone after many other people.

00:42:35.180 Is he have full disclosure that he says, hey, this is, by the way, I've been, I've worked with companies that have strong financial ties to the Chinese Communist Party?

00:42:44.340 Nope. Despite going after, you know, America first candidates and politicians, which are, of course, you know, China last, CCP last people too, on the other side of the coin, his professional bio mentions there's no reference to the fact that he worked for a very, very heavily controlled company by the Chinese Communist Party that, as I said before, has been sanctioned by both the Trump administration and the Biden regime for their ties to China's military.

00:43:10.300 And what's more interesting is, I think there's kind of been an effort to really bury this tie between Roger Sullenberger and DJI drones, there were some videos of him, I think, playing around with DJI products, but they've since been delisted, they're now private, so you can't access them.

00:43:26.720 So I think this is definitely a stain on his employment record that he doesn't want anyone to know.

00:43:32.440 But it's very important to understand where a lot of these journalists, which even Vanity Fair in a piece, they did a whole glowing piece on him not too long ago, kind of praising him as the guy who broke a lot of stories about Herschel Walker.

00:43:43.780 And they call him this, you know, kind of amateur, this newcomer to journalism who's been breaking a bunch of stories.

00:43:49.720 So it's certainly not that I want to, you know, speak, but it's certainly a curious track record that this guy just kind of comes out of nowhere, you know, or that nowhere actually having been on the payroll and working for a Chinese Communist Party controlled company now just is really an attack dog against a bunch of conservatives.

00:44:06.240 So it's certainly curious.

00:44:09.140 One of the reasons you're over at War Room now is your strong investigative capabilities and what you've done the last couple of years.

00:44:16.120 And now that this is always going to be such a huge thing in the House, what is your response?

00:44:21.940 The Democrats are starting to freak out.

00:44:23.840 I mean, Jamie Raskin, and we go after him a lot here, but he's a serious player.

00:44:28.260 I mean, it's one of the reasons we go after him.

00:44:30.120 He is like in full meltdown mode about the weaponization of the government subcommittee.

00:44:35.160 He's saying this thing is dubious.

00:44:37.400 He says you've got all these election deniers like Jim Jordan and others associated with this going to chair it.

00:44:43.420 But he says it has immense investigatory power just across the board.

00:44:49.440 And you see an already comer and oversight going after they want response from Biden's White House.

00:44:53.400 We're going to get to this.

00:44:54.620 You know, it's very ironic that they found this one about Biden being vice president.

00:44:59.720 And real quickly, Natalie, this University of Pennsylvania deal with Biden has always been a little scammy, right?

00:45:05.540 This is part of that whole Hunter Biden laptop.

00:45:07.600 It's about where the money went, who was it raised from, what Biden actually had to do for it.

00:45:12.780 The whole thing has got a scam associated with it.

00:45:15.680 And it's got a CCP taint somehow, ma'am.

00:45:17.680 Well, China has actually plowed its over $50 million into the University of Pennsylvania.

00:45:26.500 And because our lawmakers have no appetite to go after China, maybe this commission, this committee will expose, you know, who exactly is responsible.

00:45:35.020 But I think I and the war room audience can kind of piece it together based on a lot of the public statements these politicians make.

00:45:41.320 But with the way the law is written, you don't really have to disclose what institutes exactly are accepting the money from these various Chinese Communist Party-linked entities.

00:45:51.660 So it's not certainly clear who exactly within the University of Pennsylvania system was taking, like I said, this over $50 million amount.

00:46:00.920 But it really is curious, I think, to me, when you see these huge sums of money flowing, confidential documents in the Penn Biden Center, which also has appointed a lot of people at their high levels, people who were involved in Joe Biden and the Obama administration's pivot to Asia, particularly in the realm of transportation and green energy.

00:46:22.040 So I think it's interesting when you have basically no chain of custody or no track record on where exactly this money is going, because that's the way the regulations that, you know, the Obama-Biden regime was writing.

00:46:34.520 So you don't know where the money is going and you have confidential documents swirling around with, you know, an influx of Chinese cash.

00:46:41.820 Again, as someone who's followed Chinese Communist Party influence operations and really understands how they operate and how they really infiltrate every corner, they leave, you know, no stone unturned here in the United States. 0.89

00:46:55.900 When you have people like the Biden family who welcome them with open arms and, you know, open wallets and on the receiving side of things, not the giving side, it certainly raises red flags.

00:47:08.580 Can you, by the way, even as we speak, Politico is breaking a story, the Pentagon way, sending striker combat vehicles to Ukraine.

00:47:18.680 They have Bradley fighting vehicle.

00:47:20.380 We haven't sent combat tanks, battle tanks.

00:47:23.060 But man, I got to tell you, the equipment we're sending there is I don't know why the constitutional conservatives don't say Joe Biden's going to come down here and make a declaration.

00:47:31.980 At least give me a Tonkin Gulf resolution.

00:47:35.000 Give me something, because this is beyond a proxy word now.

00:47:39.180 We're sending top quality American equipment.

00:47:41.860 Pentagon way, sending striker combat vehicles to Ukraine.

00:47:44.980 I'll have more about to say that on Getter later.

00:47:48.000 Natalie, what is your what's your social media?

00:47:50.780 Tell people how to get you.

00:47:53.240 Sure.

00:47:53.740 I'm Natalie G.

00:47:54.640 Winters on Getter, Twitter, Instagram, and you can find my work on Facebook.

00:47:58.440 And as always, go to the war room dot org website to keep up with my latest reports.

00:48:05.000 Fantastic.

00:48:05.740 Let's go back to the floor.

00:48:06.720 I'm going to go back to the floor right now, and then we're going to get to Carm Carmichael.

00:48:10.680 Let's go to the floor.

00:48:12.420 Gentle lady from Connecticut.

00:48:14.200 Ask for the yeas and nays.

00:48:15.840 Yeas and nays are requested.

00:48:17.300 All those in favor of the vote by the yeas and nays will rise.

00:48:20.460 Special number having risen, the yeas and nays are ordered.

00:48:23.340 Members will record their votes by electronic device.

00:48:26.540 Pursuant to the order of the House of today, this is a five, five minute vote.

00:48:35.720 Okay.

00:48:36.400 Let's go.

00:48:37.040 Crom, we're going to go back and forth.

00:48:39.260 We'll be up on Getter.

00:48:40.420 You got, you know, this gets a little confusing.

00:48:42.740 They just do all these different votes, but we'll get it all sorted out up on Getter in

00:48:47.060 a while.

00:48:47.600 Let's go back to the House floor right now.

00:48:49.200 Get us up to date.

00:49:01.800 We're going to bring in Jane Zirkle.

00:49:03.140 Jane, get us up to date on all things Brazil.

00:49:05.880 You've been covering this beat for us.

00:49:07.660 You've been doing it nonstop since before the election.

00:49:10.740 Tell us what's going on, ma'am.

00:49:11.740 So a common goal of the protests throughout the past several months of the people of Brazil

00:49:17.620 has to be getting fair media coverage.

00:49:20.840 And that's something that they unfortunately haven't really received until the events of

00:49:25.740 yesterday.

00:49:26.260 And now, as we've seen, Brazil clearly has an election problem.

00:49:31.780 But the thing is, it's been facilitated by a censorship problem.

00:49:36.640 And it's not just coming from big tech.

00:49:38.720 It has largely been coming from the Brazilian judiciary, figures like Morais, Alexandre de

00:49:44.600 Morais, who have been implementing censorship onto pro-Bolsonaro voices, people and politicians.

00:49:52.140 And now we've seen companies like Meta come out, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram

00:49:56.820 and WhatsApp, say that this incident that occurred yesterday was an inciting incident, and they

00:50:02.960 will be removing content related to it.

00:50:05.440 And even prior to the election, they labeled Brazil as a high-risk situation.

00:50:12.320 And so they have been moderating the content that has been posted regarding Brazil.

00:50:17.300 OK, we're going to be back.

00:50:18.300 I'm going to be up on Getter.

00:50:19.880 I'm going to be up on Getter here shortly as we go into these votes on the House.

00:50:24.140 We're going to be back here at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning.

00:50:26.840 The show is going to be very intense in the days ahead as we're going to juggle all the

00:50:31.840 capital markets, geopolitics, politics, and we're actually going to cut in for as much

00:50:35.740 of the live debate into the floor as possible as a lot's going on as we try to sort things

00:50:40.480 out in the House.

00:50:42.260 Remember, there was a populist revolt last week.

00:50:45.940 You saw it all.

00:50:46.740 We've gotten a lot of control and people are not happy.

00:50:50.480 The people that are the most unhappy are establishment Republicans.

00:50:55.180 Bill Kristol speaking for them, saying, hey, you've got all these election deniers taking

00:50:59.140 over committees.

00:50:59.620 OK, 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.

00:51:02.380 Be back in the war room.

00:51:03.620 Tomorrow's going to be another intense day.
