Bannon's War Room - WarRoom Battleground EP 409： Taking Back The Constitutional Republic

00:00:00.000 this is what you're fighting for I mean every day you're out there what they're doing is blowing

00:00:12.220 people off if you continue to look the other way and shut up then the oppressors the

00:00:19.200 authoritarians get total control and total power because this is just like in Arizona this is just

00:00:25.120 like in Georgia it's another element that backs them into a quarter and shows their lies and

00:00:29.860 misrepresentations is why this audience is going to have to get engaged as we've told you this is

00:00:34.140 the fight all this nonsense all this spin they can't handle the truth war room battleground here's

00:00:41.200 your host Stephen K Bannon does the historical record tell us about whether section three was

00:00:47.480 limited to the events of the civil war or not it was not limited to the events of the civil war and

00:00:53.460 we know that because first the language was general it just referred to insurrection or rebellion and

00:00:58.940 secondly there were senators in the debate that made pointedly clear that they thought it also

00:01:04.340 should apply to any future insurrection that might occur hi again everyone it's now five o'clock in

00:01:11.040 new york in courtrooms all across our country this week questions about insurrection and january 6 and

00:01:17.740 the law are being litigated determining whether inciting the capital insurrection disqualifies

00:01:24.100 donald trump from ever running for office again at issue whether the ex-president violated section three

00:01:30.640 of the 14th amendment which reads quote no person shall be a senator or representative in congress

00:01:36.740 or elector of president and vice president or hold any office having previously taken an oath to support

00:01:44.520 the constitution of the united states shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same

00:01:51.320 or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof legal challenges based on this theory have

00:01:58.480 amounted in many states as the 2024 presidential primaries inch ever closer this week we saw a

00:02:04.960 week-long hearing in colorado we've covered it on this show where a judge heard testimony from

00:02:09.720 constitutional experts like the clip we just played you also heard from capital police officers members of

00:02:15.800 congress and former trump administration officials the judge there said she will make a decision by

00:02:21.240 thanksgiving state supreme court justices in minnesota heard arguments yesterday over donald trump's

00:02:27.000 eligibility they were skeptical that states have the authority to take trump off the ballot this week

00:02:32.620 we also saw the former president sue jocelyn benson she's of course familiar to viewers of this show she's

00:02:39.560 secretary of state of michigan where another 14th amendment challenge has been filed that suit seeks

00:02:45.800 to ask a state court to block secretary benson from keeping trump's name off the ballot but for

00:02:51.400 conservative former federal judge michael ludig the answer is crystal clear on the law trump disqualified

00:02:57.160 himself ludig and constitutional law scholar lawrence tribe wrote in a joint piece in the atlantic over

00:03:02.760 the summer this quote the former president's efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election

00:03:08.360 and the resulting attack on the u.s capitol placed him squarely within the ambit of the disqualification

00:03:14.680 clause and he is therefore ineligible to serve as president ever again the most pressing constitutional

00:03:21.320 question facing our democracy at this moment then is whether we will abide by this clear command of the

00:03:27.880 14th amendment's disqualification clause here's what judge ludig told me last time he was on this program

00:03:33.560 if there's one thing that i could tell the country and today it would be that

00:03:42.040 the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election was not and is not politics this is as we now know from

00:03:53.720 the indictments of the former president by the department of justice and jack smith these were grave crimes

00:04:03.560 okay this is um i told you folks this is going to be a big fight and it's going to be a big fight it's

00:04:10.680 got big money in back of it by the way welcome to the second hour of the war room our late afternoon

00:04:18.440 early evening show it's a friday 3 november in the year of our lord 2023 uh this is on the 30 front war

00:04:27.160 this is an important front we told you this when i first saw that um article by two federal society

00:04:33.480 kind of mid-level guys uh quote-unquote constitutional scholars that came in up it's got to be six months

00:04:40.040 ago now we had dershowitz and mike davis on the very next morning to go through this professor dershowitz

00:04:46.280 which he said the thing's ridiculous uh but it's built momentum it's built momentum because first

00:04:54.520 there's big republican donor money in back of this big money uh the same people that put money in back

00:05:00.920 of uh the uh failed efforts of desantis which has been an embarrassment and now desantis is going off

00:05:07.960 half-cocked and saying crazy stuff rotten let me be blunt ron desantis is finished as a national

00:05:13.480 political figure finished we advise you should have gone back to florida a long time ago rolled

00:05:19.080 your sleeves up got to work and uh and there was still a future for you but he is in his um crash

00:05:25.880 and burn his performances here recently on uh on uh television uh ill-prepared um and it shows

00:05:34.360 you the quality of thought which is not great he is not ready for the next level it's clear quite clear

00:05:40.760 and um uh nikki haley was never ready for the next level but the money in back of these folks

00:05:47.800 will do anything to thwart trump anything uh yunkin if yunkin has a good night on tuesday immediately 1.00

00:05:55.640 this massive bayonair money is going to be back of it along with the murdoch uh you know tv for stupid 0.91

00:06:01.880 people channel to push that and what they're gonna be waving is hey he's gonna be off the ballot you guys 0.69

00:06:06.920 are all yeah maybe up 60 points now but it's not going to be on balance it's not going to be a

00:06:10.280 balance here the source team has picked it up and these uh radical secretaries of states and attorney 0.99

00:06:17.000 generals and we told you what the states were colorado arizona michigan you know um pennsylvania

00:06:27.560 was kind of just to name a couple of three so it's battles full engage and and what they hope they

00:06:33.160 don't have a legal stand up because ludic bro it's quite simple and sam and p chase told you this

00:06:38.920 back i think in 1869 if trump is indicted found guilty by a jury of his peers unanimously

00:06:48.120 in a federal court and then that stands up to appeal and maybe even to the supreme court

00:06:52.680 hey then maybe you got something but your big sled dog jack smith did not

00:06:58.440 and and indict him for insurrection why because there's not evidence of insurrection and cash patel's

00:07:04.920 testimony is absolutely brutal and people should understand and this goes back to the last hour

00:07:11.160 about getting ready for the second term and you know their their knitted brows uh nicole wallace oh gosh 0.71

00:07:18.920 they're going to be coming after people with these lawyers you damn right we're going to be coming

00:07:22.120 i write that down and highlight it in fact write it down underline it with the pen like i do but then take 0.95

00:07:28.200 a yellow mark and put that through it we definitely are no doubt we're coming after the criminals

00:07:35.000 that have uh conceived of and executed an invasion of our nation they're guilty of treason

00:07:42.440 and we're going to come after the people that did not that thwarted trump's effort to have a safe

00:07:47.720 environment on january 6 and we're going to come after the people stole the election oh we got a lot of

00:07:52.520 folks that come after there's a lot of targets opportunity there i know their heads blow for

00:07:58.440 this but hey this is just sure as the turning of the earth trump is going to win the presidency again

00:08:04.760 and as sure as the turning of the earth we are going to set things right yep that's called democracy

00:08:13.960 not what you're doing you've shredded the constitution you've you've shredded the rule of law

00:08:19.000 law and we just can't we we're not going to have we're not going to be a constitutional republic if

00:08:24.280 we just let that go it just not can't happen this is what i said in the speech in pioneers the

00:08:29.240 converging everything in the framework the convergence is the financial collapse of the country

00:08:36.120 you don't believe me go to zero hedge and just look at the central banks what are the central banks in

00:08:41.080 the world doing they're buying gold at record rates why are they doing that because they understand

00:08:44.760 that what the transaction with the the thing that transacts the world's economy a thing called a

00:08:50.040 federal reserve note by the way as irony would have it created by salmon p chase when he was secretary

00:08:57.480 of the treasury in the war cabinet of president lincoln that's a small note in history just remember that

00:09:04.760 before he was chief justice

00:09:08.200 that that uh federal reserve note is lost 17 now almost i think 20 purchasing power

00:09:14.920 purchasing power why because these massive deficits on a system that is out of control

00:09:21.960 you are the only stability in the system this audience you are the only stability the working

00:09:27.720 class people in the middle class in this country that are kind of common sense

00:09:32.120 populist nationalists you're the only stability that's out there every institution is ever out of

00:09:37.560 control the the political uniparty elites out of control the oligarchs on wall street in silicon valley

00:09:45.000 out of control you are a stabilizing factor and you're taking more and more control every day and

00:09:52.760 that's why they hate it the level of sophistication going on right now in washington dc of thinking

00:09:59.320 through how do we get our hands around this deficit and do this do the single um the single subject

00:10:05.960 appropriations bill which is what you laid down and supported in january and god bless you it's

00:10:12.520 come to fruition and they hate it up on capital they hate it they hate it they hate it because it exposes

00:10:19.240 them and don't ever listen again to some politician i believe in mike i believe in limited government i

00:10:25.960 believe in physical responsibility no you don't no you don't if you believed in it you would fight for

00:10:31.400 it this is a darwinian environment they're not going to give you anything they're not going to share

00:10:37.880 power with you they're not going to let your voice be heard and in the actions you believe are in the

00:10:43.400 best interest of the republic they're not going to do that are you kidding me they got they got a grip on

00:10:47.960 the most powerful nation on earth this is a nation to make the roman empire the top of his game tremble 1.00

00:10:53.640 in fear and awe do you think they're going to turn that over to working class people and uh middle 0.66

00:10:59.480 class people you schlebs out there you think they're going to do that no no no no you have to take it 0.70

00:11:08.680 and you're doing a pretty good job and they hate it and your instrument the instrumentality of this

00:11:15.800 is on one level donald j trump and another level someone like a mike johnson or the people around

00:11:22.440 him that cadre around him and that's why we call these folks providential

00:11:28.360 because this is the act and will of god as as flowing through human agency god just doesn't

00:11:34.840 intersperse here and wave a magic wand no it's through human agency and it's through your agency

00:11:41.320 you are the awakened you are the army of the awakened and you have victory after victory

00:11:47.160 after victory and now that's why you don't see msmec mocking you and ridiculing you like you see these 0.90

00:11:53.720 these these old retired republican clowns on fox news on murdoch news network you come on and mock you 0.96

00:11:59.560 you're treasonous you're chaos agents an msmec they lease and seen they at least they paid the respect 0.98

00:12:06.680 that they fear you right nicole wallace get those big eyes like you know a deer in the headlights every 0.93

00:12:12.440 show you can smell the fear and that she should fear you because your program is quite different

00:12:18.600 quite opposite of their program you want to smash the administrative state you want to smash the

00:12:24.600 deep state you want to hold these people accountable for what they've done to this nation and accountable

00:12:29.320 they will be held

00:12:34.200 in the fullness of time when i say the fullness of time i don't mean aeons in aeons

00:12:39.960 i mean now every day that's these flights you're seeing on capitol hill

00:12:46.440 what do they want to do think of the irresponsibility with the two trillion dollar deficit this year and

00:12:51.000 as far as when they sit there on tv and they talk about we got to pay for ukraine we got to pay for

00:12:55.240 allies as far as the eye can see the two trillion dollar deficits in perpetuity in perpetuity and

00:13:05.080 remember this when we started talking about this student biden took over on this show what was going

00:13:11.240 to happen and it's all come to fruition go back go back right now get that go to birch gold uh slash

00:13:19.800 bannon go get the end of the dollar empire i think the first one the politics of money came out a couple

00:13:24.280 of years ago show me where we've been wrong in any of this show me we've been wrong in the forecast

00:13:28.760 krugman laughed at us about the inflation other people laughed at us about the deficits weren't

00:13:33.400 going to be as big people laughed at us about the debt ceiling everything we've talked about this

00:13:38.440 audience has backed has been one thousand percent right about the border we have people down there

00:13:43.480 for years i've been doing this border stuff since breitbart and now it's an absolute invasion

00:13:47.800 an invasion an invasion that was thought of conceived of and implemented because just like the is israelis

00:13:59.080 they think you're a colonizer they think you're an oppressor they don't believe even even uh what

00:14:04.680 kirkorian was on here the other day and said nicely you know i just don't think that they think that borders

00:14:09.800 matter they think it's morally you know immigration is a moral uh you know high up the moral chain no no

00:14:15.800 and kirkorian's being nice he's a gentleman they don't think this is your country you have to

00:14:21.480 understand that they don't think it's your country they don't think that border exists because it

00:14:24.440 doesn't exist to them and we can continue to play these games oh look at this guy run across the

00:14:29.720 desert look at this guy right across is this a full-out invasion

00:14:35.000 there at least 10 million here that biden's let in illegally

00:14:38.360 with the fentanyl the chemical warfare attack of the ccp and the cartels all of it making money 0.97

00:14:45.640 and child trafficking we don't even know where the kids are they don't they don't even do a 30

00:14:50.040 second dna test in the border why they don't care they want as many of these kids coming here for god 0.99

00:14:55.560 knows what reason but it's not to protect them to protect them at least you find out these are their

00:15:01.160 parents they have no interest in that

00:15:07.080 you are the only thing you're the only group the only entity in the world that stands between total

00:15:17.800 anarchy and chaos is you

00:15:23.320 should make you feel nervous i want you to feel nervous i want you to feel the weight

00:15:27.080 of responsibility on your shoulders i want that weight there

00:15:31.160 until you accept it until you embrace it until you operationalize it in your own being

00:15:37.880 because in this i can tell you you will be judged

00:15:42.280 you could have been born in any time and place anywhere and any time and place on the history of

00:15:47.880 the earth but divine providence deemed that you were going to be here in this time and place

00:15:54.120 and you have to ask yourself why is that what is my task and purpose

00:15:58.200 is it to go watch nfl football run around do everything you got everything in the world you

00:16:02.760 could do and i'm not saying you shouldn't do some of that but the central part of your being as a

00:16:08.040 citizen in this republic in this time and place that god in his own wisdom placed you here and you're

00:16:14.280 awakened you're no longer among the sleepwalking remember man is asleep

00:16:19.160 and the work on oneself is to awaken oneself and you are awakened you know what your duty is you know

00:16:27.480 what your purpose is and they're going to mock and ridicule you and dismiss you and laugh at you

00:16:36.600 until they ain't laughing anymore if you notice there's a lot less laughing and dismissing

00:16:41.960 now than there once was wasn't it right remember after remember back in 14 to 15 the whole thing

00:16:49.480 laugh and ridicule and then trump in every day boo boo the russia the the uh you know the shut the the 0.55

00:16:55.240 the shut it down rebuke his presidency from the beginning and then in 2020 he cut 74 million votes 0.53

00:17:02.840 and picked up net 12 congressional seats you think he lost his presidency go screw yourself i don't 0.86

00:17:08.200 only want to hear your talk and your lies your misrepresentations joe biden is illegitimate is 0.96

00:17:13.320 the most illegitimate entity in the face of the earth and you can see has no respect you think they

00:17:19.400 would treat a true commander truth do you think they respect somebody the american people really

00:17:23.480 put in there the way they treat him and dismiss him do you think the other powers in the earth would

00:17:28.280 do that no they would not even if they hated him and disagreed with him they fear him because he

00:17:32.920 understand understood he had the mandate of the american people and he has no mandate and they

00:17:37.960 understand he has no mandate

00:17:42.360 they fear trump and fear is a good thing you're not gonna you're not gonna hug this out on the

00:17:48.120 world stage the world stage is not a place you're gonna hug it out and people think that think they

00:17:53.320 don't know the history of gandhi they don't know the history of martin luther king they don't know the

00:17:56.840 history of people that had to fight every step of the way nobody hugs it out not hugging things out

00:18:02.600 you saw hugging it out on obama and look what it got you got a nobel prize what in his first day on the job

00:18:08.520 that worked out well didn't it world's a really safe place it was a safe place when trump took over

00:18:16.840 i don't care if you hate the sound of his name look at what the world was then and what the world is

00:18:21.240 today and there are many people in the african-american community in the hispanic community and the former

00:18:27.560 democrats and liberals are sitting there and in the dark of the night they're saying hey

00:18:32.040 as much as i couldn't stand that guy as much as i can't stand hearing his voice as much as i can't

00:18:36.600 stand his tweets the world was a safer place america is more prosperous maybe he was on to something

00:18:45.080 and that's what this fight is about

00:18:51.800 and there's no middle ground there's none there is no compromise there is no compromise there is

00:19:01.640 no compromise and if people tell you oh we got cut deals and compromise they are nothing more than

00:19:07.080 controlled opposition there is no compromise it will either be their way or it'll be our way

00:19:14.440 and one side's going to win and one side's going to lose and i will tell you right now we are not

00:19:18.760 going to lose we're not you can feel it you can see it and particularly i can see i can smell the

00:19:25.400 fear and i can see the fear in their eyes yep you can now does that mean it's a foregone conclusion

00:19:31.480 that mean we're just going to snap our fingers going to happen no this is a long tough grind in

00:19:36.920 just winning in 2024 don't just in 16 everybody danced around and hey nobody showed up in 18 it's

00:19:43.880 not going to happen what do you think we're doing this all this work to get ready and to get people

00:19:48.200 ready and then do you think every day every day is going to be stalingrad you think they're just

00:19:51.800 going to sit there and go hey this is terrific this is terrific the war room posse they all

00:19:56.120 showed up they they want to be in charge this is great let's just toss them the keys

00:20:00.200 no no no no no no they have control of the most powerful entity in the history of mankind

00:20:09.400 the united states of america and guess what as a bonus to get the federal reserve they got a

00:20:14.760 permanent printing machine of money i think they're just going to stop that and say isn't this terrific

00:20:19.240 you know melissa katz is going to join us that's melissa katz is here and you know and jojo and

00:20:24.840 grace chung and all the great followers we have with him they're they're they're they want to they

00:20:28.440 want to have a say so they run things that's terrific that's great you know mike davis boris

00:20:33.240 epstein jeff clark let's name them all the congressman gates they're going to run things they want to do it

00:20:39.400 this is terrific let's just do it let's do it their way you think that's going to happen oh no no no no no

00:20:45.560 no no it doesn't work that way i tell you the way it does work is what you've done to date

00:20:55.160 starting with i mean so many victories look at look at paxton we had melissa katz on here

00:20:59.240 during the pax thing our back was against the bomb packs and we had no help at all paxton had no help

00:21:03.320 at all you know we had we had the ability to have the grassroots in texas say over our dead bodies we

00:21:11.560 led the bush apparatus and destroyed this country so much and done so many awful things in texas and 0.96

00:21:16.760 yes awful things in texas the border down there would not be open it was not for the bush apparatchiks 0.92

00:21:23.480 texas would not be overrun it was not for the bush apparatchiks 1.00

00:21:29.640 and you stood your ground and those senators that were sitting there was all baked it was just as

00:21:36.680 cooked as this deal in denver and by the way the deal in denver they've rattled her cage too she's

00:21:41.640 sitting there going oh my lord look at the testimony because you're up in their grills they don't

00:21:48.760 understand anything else this is not you're not going to hug this out you think they're hugging it out

00:21:53.800 you think they're hugging it out donald trump is up for 700 years 700 years almost a millennium

00:22:01.800 in a federal prison and to bankrupt him they're out there in the moscow show trail right now

00:22:07.160 to take his company that's father and he and his kids have worked on for what 70 or 80 years and

00:22:12.760 liquidate it before your eyes and not just that they think so much of you and they think so much of

00:22:18.120 democracy they don't want him on the ballot because they know if he's on the ballot he's going to win

00:22:22.760 in colorado he's going to win in arizona he's going to win in michigan in minnesota

00:22:26.440 in pennsylvania and in wisconsin georgia all of it they know that they can see the tectonic plate 0.96

00:22:33.080 shift these people are not fools they're smart and they're tough and they're evil

00:22:42.680 don't take it from me look with your own eyes look with your own eyes and then when you're 0.96

00:31:55.320 war room battleground with stephen k bannon okay thank you let's bring in melissa katz mighty american

00:32:11.960 the strike force we got um elections on tuesday you guys once again are manning the ramparts and

00:32:18.760 you're doing it this time with the phone banks etc melissa tell us what you guys are setting up and

00:32:23.800 how can people participate okay we actually have some volunteers that are in kentucky but we're looking

00:32:30.760 for more volunteers to um help do phone calling and it's an easy process so if people want to volunteer

00:32:38.920 to make phone calls and you can be anywhere in the country um they can go to our website

00:32:45.160 www.masf.online but i know there's a lot of posse in kentucky so as terry shillings said this morning

00:32:57.080 it's about turnout and there's 350 000 you know whether they're republicans or independents or even

00:33:04.920 democrats this is about values this this election and and you know the current governor as terry said

00:33:12.120 this morning he vetoed legislation and for men not to be able to participate they could participate in

00:33:19.720 women's sports that's ridiculous i played sports in high school and i couldn't imagine that but anyway 0.99

00:33:26.360 we could get people to help if they they're there already i mean if they live there then they can help

00:33:32.600 and we can get them in touch with people with the campaign for uh daniel cameron and his campaign

00:33:39.400 and we have some mighty american strike force volunteers and team leaders like myself they're

00:33:45.800 helping now but i'm in dallas i'm in texas i'm wearing my texas ranger t-shirt um and we just need

00:33:53.720 more people that want to make phone calls and you you can just make it for an hour two hours but between

00:33:59.400 now and tuesday including on tuesday reminding voters to get out and vote take people take

00:34:06.040 neighbors ask them if they're going if they voted if not get them there the the back story here is that

00:34:13.400 cameron was down about 15 to 17 points i don't know four weeks ago terry shilling and others look

00:34:18.920 there's been a lot of people pitching this campaign but particularly made this case that uh the governor

00:34:23.800 who they put across as kind of this moderate guy that you would you know have a backyard barbecue

00:34:28.440 is actually quite radical they've done spots the polling out today by emerson it's a dead heat this

00:34:33.640 is all about turnout and there are 350 000 trump voters in the commonwealth of kentucky that haven't

00:34:40.280 traditionally come out in off presidential year cycles that is the the difference here in victory

00:34:45.880 and defeat is those and that's why these phone banks etc one more time melissa where do people go to uh

00:34:51.240 find out more about the mighty american strike force and to see if they want to participate in the phone

00:34:55.560 bank www.masf.online or they can reach out to me on my social media i'm on getter under melissa m like

00:35:08.440 melissa katz k-a-t-z and then i'm on x melissa m katz um usa i had to use that on that one and then on

00:35:19.720 truth melissa m katz 1776 and it's easy we can listen thank you yep yep yep uh most of the key

00:35:29.160 people on this uh pulling people together on the uh on the impeachment of ken paxton one of the

00:35:35.880 grassroots who's got fired up melissa we got to bounce thank you so much mighty american strike force

00:35:40.040 go check it out today next next 72 hours is going to be very very important uh remember if uh

00:35:47.720 sheer uh wins on tuesday he's going to be in the short list of people folks you're going to see

00:35:52.200 in 2028 so this is a very big deal there's 350 000 trump supporters in the commonwealth of kentucky

00:36:00.120 it's kind of hard to believe right with mitch mccann no no no no the commonwealth of kentucky great

00:36:04.120 folks great patriots fabulous state beautiful state great people we've got a lot of war room posse there

00:36:10.120 uh go there check out they say see how you can put your shoulder to the wheel next 72 hours going to be

00:36:14.120 very very important in a governor's race that is in a dead heat um i'm really proud of and we got

00:36:20.760 joe um joe allen is traveling around the country uh bringing the book dark aeon to a neighborhood to

00:36:27.000 you and have discussions about it give uh give talks so he's going all over the country we're

00:36:31.480 following him closely but joe uh i really appreciate the the um the artificial intelligence conference

00:36:38.520 in london has people's heads are blowing up and i looked at this and i said joe here's the amazing

00:36:46.440 thing this is kind of what uh you've been doing and talking to the war and posse about for the

00:36:51.800 last uh couple years uh talk to me about that then i want to play your cold open

00:36:57.480 yes steve everything that we've discussed in regard to existential risk everything we've discussed

00:37:03.320 in regard to the proliferation of deep fakes and maybe most pertinent at the moment what we've

00:37:11.160 discussed in regard to ai enabling a biotechnology to go out of hand to create bioweapons or even

00:37:17.720 accidentally create uh more virulent pathogens that's all been discussed the last two days by some

00:37:26.200 hundred representatives from some 28 countries uh in bletchley park london it's not that no one

00:37:35.240 paid attention to it as any listener to the war room knows but most of these issues have kind of been

00:37:42.120 swept to the side now they're exploding on the public's consciousness and it's it's really interesting to

00:37:49.080 watch this unfold because what i see primarily are these governments the the ones at the lead

00:37:55.960 china the us and of course the the body of the eu they are basically hitching their cart to a 0.96

00:38:03.640 massive machine that being artificial intelligence and reassuring the public that they're going to

00:38:09.320 make it safe and effective this is the key point i mean what has shocked me and maybe what let's get

00:38:19.160 the cold open but what has shocked me has been the um acquiescence like this is something that's in the

00:38:28.760 it's like the second law of thermodynamics this is not the second law of thermodynamics

00:38:33.800 just not human agency can change everything here the direction of this how jews slowing it down shutting 0.97

00:38:40.920 it down we could do that and that's what's so stummy about this conference and of course the ultimate 0.84

00:38:47.480 buffoon and i realize i pick on this guy a lot but elon musk i mean he makes these statements like

00:38:52.120 there will be you know artificial intelligence is going to take over all work right all work anyway

00:38:56.680 let's play the cold open i want to get joe back in here we start with inside i think there's a lot of

00:39:01.160 concern among people in the uh ai field that there will that the government will sort of jump the gun

00:39:06.440 on um rules before knowing what to do um and i think um i think that's unlikely to happen i think what

00:39:13.560 what we're really aiming for here is to establish a framework for insight so there's at least a

00:39:19.560 third party referee an independent referee that can observe what leading air companies are doing

00:39:24.440 and at least uh sound the alarm if they if they have concerns i i don't know what necessarily the

00:39:29.560 fair rules are but you've got to start with insight before you do oversight and here we are for the first

00:39:35.160 time really in human history with something that's going to be far more intelligent than us

00:39:40.040 um so it's not clear to me we can actually control such a thing but i think we can aspire to guide it

00:39:48.840 in a direction that's beneficial to humanity um but i do think it's one of the existential risks that

00:39:56.200 we face and it's potentially the most pressing one this is a moment of profound opportunity

00:40:02.360 the benefits of ai are immense it could give us the power to fight the climate crisis

00:40:10.520 so i do believe that the voice that we have offered in this global discussion has been significant

00:40:18.680 it has been a priority for example uh for us to ensure that civil society have an equal voice at the

00:40:25.480 table uh as i said in my speech yesterday civil society has always played a very unique and important

00:40:32.040 role in holding public and private sector to account of it you know what joe it was great because as much

00:40:41.160 as i'm on elon musk at least as dangerous as what he's talking about at least it's from a guy you know

00:40:47.160 has a megawatt brain and then you get the word salad i i don't ever really i can't really follow her

00:40:54.360 because it's almost like having you know when you used you were a kid and you had these uh you had

00:40:59.960 these uh uh precocious kids who were smart alex when the parents around they just start talking and

00:41:05.800 string together words it wouldn't make any sense that's her i don't know why did we and the ai

00:41:10.600 conference as important as they ask conferences about the future and direction of man you said you

00:41:17.560 send our beloved vice president okay welcome back we had a we kind of had a hard drop there

00:41:26.760 lindale tv our producer for this we do the other three hours with real america's voice to do this

00:41:31.640 hour with the team at lindale tv we had a hard drop uh do we have joe back up uh joe joe allen i want

00:41:38.600 to go back and i thank our audience for hanging in there i want to go back to um elon musk because what

00:41:44.200 he said and as you know i'm not a big fan but what he said is quite profound in a way i don't

00:41:49.400 know if he knew it was profound or not he he's making our case that oh well you don't know what

00:41:55.080 direction this is going to take right and you know maybe maybe it'll work out correct yes uh elon

00:42:02.040 musk just like sam altman uh much like demis asabas at deep mind they all are riding on the assumption

00:42:10.520 that the systems that they're creating right now are on the verge of becoming human level

00:42:15.800 intelligence and they anticipate they vary in dating but the most aggressive which has increased

00:42:22.920 in number profoundly in the last year and a half they are arguing that greater than human intelligence

00:42:28.840 will be summoned in this machine and of course by its nature if it were to be greater than human

00:42:34.440 it would be out of control and so musk is talking about trying to guide it as you would guide a child

00:42:40.840 they talk about this all the time many of them like uh mo gaudat also of google talk about it as if it

00:42:48.120 were god as a child that this thing is destined to become a god on earth artificial general intelligence

00:42:55.640 artificial super intelligence that these are going to be gods and so they are children now they must

00:43:03.400 learn to learn to be good so that when they are more powerful than us they will be good gods and

00:43:09.800 apparently you've got musk you've got the guys from google you've got guys from anthropic and inflection ai

00:43:17.000 and they are also talking about using the government to guide these god-like ai's to become good to 0.93

00:43:24.520 make sure the digital god is safe and effective you had the ai summit in london you also had a few days

00:43:32.280 before on october 30th you had the eo from the biden white house the executive order on creating safe

00:43:40.360 secure and trustworthy artificial intelligence and you think about the role of the government

00:43:46.600 in protecting its citizens and i think that it is a very very important one perhaps critical one

00:43:51.080 for all civilization but what have we heard where have we heard safe and effective before well obviously in

00:43:58.360 regard to vaccines of uh dubious character at best right where have we heard secure before of course the

00:44:06.440 most secure elections in history and trustworthy in regard to the present government the present regime i think is just

00:44:14.520 laughable on its face so now the biden white house is promising to make sure that americans have data

00:44:20.360 protection which i'm all about but completely um uh i unconvinced that biden and his uh his cronies are

00:44:28.040 going to push for anything like that to help us uh maybe more uh ominous they're pushing for control

00:44:34.440 of disinformation and misinformation of course we saw all of that unfold uh in the 2020 election we saw

00:44:40.440 that unfold during the pandemic what it gets defined as miss and disinformation is going to be incredibly

00:44:46.920 politically charged and it also perhaps gives the government a means of covering large corporations

00:44:54.520 who will not be as subject to the scrutiny as say a war war room listener might be uh in in trying to

00:45:02.680 combat disinformation and misinformation however that's defined and uh you know really steve the thing

00:45:09.400 that that makes me the most uh irritated about all this is this extreme emphasis on how

00:45:16.280 we're going to make sure that ai is not racist sexist and homophobic they're talking about making ai

00:45:24.280 accountable to biases on the basis of gender and race meaning that any algorithm that is made legal 0.86

00:45:31.160 or verified will be weighted against the uh the obvious wicked enemy of our age the the white christian

00:45:38.520 heterosexual male and you also have a push to diversify the workforce in silicon valley which means

00:45:45.080 not only hiring quotas for companies i'm not really all that worried about those guys but it's still the

00:45:50.760 the principle of it hiring quotas for the those companies and also an expansion of the immigration

00:45:56.120 program so that more foreigners will take the lucrative jobs in silicon valley all this is to say

00:46:02.840 that in general the the real focus to me should be the long-term trajectory these people want to create

00:46:09.320 a system that they will declare to be superhuman and better able to make decisions than us than the

00:46:16.200 populace and none of that is being addressed and another thing that really isn't being addressed in

00:46:21.160 any direct way as they talk about the creation of this digital god it takes the attention away from

00:46:27.480 people like evan musk people like sam altman people like eric schmidt from google or demis

00:46:34.040 asabas from google's deep mind or mark zuckerberg from meta so uh yeah i guess it's good that the

00:46:40.280 governments around the world are taking um this seriously and paying attention to it but uh in

00:46:45.880 general i see inept governments that are in they're basically stacked against us i see corporations trying

00:46:53.480 to partner with these governments in public private partnerships to bring on the fourth industrial

00:46:58.280 revolution and you have the outliers of the accelerationists who want to create digital gods

00:47:03.800 without government oversight um i am not optimistic that any of these people can be turned to to help

00:47:09.160 us or save us i do believe that responsibility lies for right now squarely on our own shoulders

00:47:17.320 joe where do people go quickly where do people go for your uh amazing tour you get to see joe in person
