I will repeal the lobbyist law which was brought in by the previous government, which essentially put the entire Parliament of Canada for sale to the highest bidder. 2. I ll recuse all ministers, cabinet ministers, and MPs from reviewing and awarding government contracts. 3. We ll put in place a system which will essentially be the equivalent of a criminal jury in a criminal trial.

00:00:00.640 Hello Canada, I'm Romana Didulo. I'm the founder and leader of Canada First. Today
00:00:07.280 I would like to speak with you about federal government contracts and how
00:00:11.560 we're going to award them. This is my answer to the scandals of bribery and
00:00:19.080 corruption that has plagued our previous and current government. As your Prime
00:00:28.520 Minister, I will do three things to restore your confidence and trust in your
00:00:38.840 federal government. Number one, I will repeal the lobbyist law which was brought
00:00:46.640 in by the previous government, which essentially put the entire Parliament of
00:00:53.020 Canada for sale to the highest bidder. This law allows anyone who has money to
00:01:01.060 register as a lobbyist and then have access to your MPs, your Prime Minister and
00:01:08.580 the PMO. So I will repeal that law. Number two, I will recuse all ministers, cabinet
00:01:20.440 ministers, and MPs from reviewing and awarding government contracts. Number
00:01:29.440 three, I will put in place a system which will essentially be the equivalent of a
00:01:37.300 criminal jury in a criminal trial. So what we will do is once we have issued the
00:01:48.400 call for bids and the bidding has closed and we have collected the number of
00:01:53.880 contract bids, we will then use Statistics Canada to randomly select one or two Canadians
00:02:05.880 from each province and territory who will act as a jury. They will then all be flown into
00:02:14.900 Ottawa. This is, by the way, a paid position. They will all be flown into Ottawa. They will
00:02:24.540 be sequestered and under guard 24 hours a day. They will be provided food and lodging and their
00:02:33.220 their task is to review and award government contracts. So this takes away the suspicions or anything to
00:02:48.980 that effect. Because number one, no one within the government, including myself as your Prime Minister,
00:02:57.220 will know who these jurors are going to be. Number two, all companies that place their bids will not
00:03:04.660 know who the jurors are going to be. And number three, the general public itself will not know who
00:03:12.260 among them is going to be selected randomly as a juror. So this is how we're going to award our government
00:03:21.220 contracts moving forward.
