Candace breaks down the most explosive update in the Ryan and Blake case since it all began. Plus, Roseanne Barr apologizes for saying she was going to knock out Candace on Thursday s episode of the show.
00:00:00.000All right, you guys. Happy Monday. Also, happy belated Easter. I hope you guys had a wonderful Easter weekend. I definitely did. He is risen indeed. I had given up gluten, so that meant no bread for all of Lent. I also gave up sweets. So yesterday, I completely indulged, to say the least. Cake, cookies, lasagna, you name it. It was wonderful.
00:00:19.820And speaking of Easter, Sede Vacante, that is Latin for the seat is vacant. Yes, the Pope has passed away. We're going to speak about that, obviously. Plus, in case you missed it, Roseanne Barr did, after our show on Thursday, issue an apology for saying that she was going to knock me the F out. So we'll talk about that.
00:00:39.960But first, I am totally seized by the updates in the Ryan and Blake case. I think a lot of people may have missed it because it was Easter weekend and we were all doing, you know, family time and things that were more important.
00:00:51.180But in case you did miss what transpired on Friday, the case is now solved. And it's so much more ugly and more psychotic than any of us could have possibly envisioned.
00:01:01.040Essentially, she got caught filing a sham lawsuit. Power tripping. This has got to be white collar crime. Let's get started. Welcome back to Candace.
00:01:11.420You guys, this is the last full week of the podcast before I go on leave. Crazy. Just crazy to think about that.
00:01:31.860Like I said, it's going to be so sad. Sad for everyone except for Brian Reynolds and Harley Pasternak and Blake Lively and Emmanuel Macron.
00:01:39.300They're probably counting down the days on a calendar like they're going on a Disney trip. Whatever. I'm going to miss you guys. They're not going to miss me.
00:01:46.940Where to begin with this? So I'm assuming that regarding this Blake, Ryan, Justin case, that things may have just transformed from civil to criminal.
00:01:56.440And I'll tell you why. And like I said, in case you somehow missed the updates over the weekend, don't worry.
00:02:02.000Sit down because this is going to be wild. It's unbelievable. Don't worry because I'm also going to unpack it very slowly.
00:02:08.300Of course, I've made a little timeline to make things easier because you likely need a refresher.
00:02:13.880We haven't there hasn't been much movement in this case. But without question, this is the most explosive update since it all began.
00:02:20.440It's the final piece of the puzzle. It pulls everybody in the New York Times, the PR firms.
00:02:25.440Brian Friedman must be having an absolute field day.
00:02:29.320And by the way, I want to say this could have all been avoided if they had listened to me when I told them drop the lawsuits.
00:02:34.580Don't just drop. When you know you are doing nothing good, get out of doing the nothing good as soon as possible, especially when the whole world is watching.
00:02:42.760You've got mommy sleuths on the case. So remember, we we had to work backwards with everything.
00:02:48.140We didn't. If you were me, at least I didn't know who Justin Baldoni was. I didn't know Colleen Hoover.
00:02:52.220I didn't watch the movie. I just saw a crazy lawsuit being filed.
00:02:56.360A CRD complaint looked shady, sounded weird. I'm not a big Me Too person.
00:03:01.700And then we kind of had to go backwards like, wait, what happened?
00:03:04.500And then we were surprised because we saw the New York Times data and it looks like this was some sort of a plot.
00:03:10.300But there were still some elements that didn't make sense, which is when Blake and Ryan began colluding with the New York Times,
00:03:16.980we didn't understand how exactly Stephanie Jones PR was able to give these messages to the New York Times ahead of time.
00:03:26.740Like there was this missing piece of what Stephanie Jones was saying, that she was complying with a subpoena.
00:03:33.240So I'm going to slowly remind you of who she is and why it's actually the most relevant piece of the entire puzzle.
00:03:39.260OK, so this is the PR chart. They start making this movie and Jones work PR, which is run by Stephanie Jones.
00:03:47.780She's a coffee in Adderall is life woman. OK, is doing the PR for Wayfarer Studios.
00:03:54.840That's Justin Baldoni, Steve Sarwitz. She is doing her.
00:03:58.800Her firm is doing the PR for this film, but she's not personally managing that PR.
00:04:06.240She has someone under her named Jennifer Abel, who you see there, and she is dealing with this, quote unquote, smaller account.
00:04:13.900And by smaller account, I mean that while Stephanie Jones is out flying around with Jeff Bezos and his soon to be wife,
00:04:20.960Jennifer Abel is dealing with this little baby account that only earns them 20K a month for the firm.
00:04:26.840Jennifer Abel decides that she wants to leave this firm and she wants to start her own firm.
00:04:32.720Justin Baldoni and Steve Sarwitz are like, we are going with you if you're going independent because you're the only one we even know at this firm.
00:04:40.880And we're happy to stay your little account. And Stephanie Jones is like, nah, that is not happening.
00:04:48.120I am Stephanie Jones. I'm married to a big wig over at WME. No one leaves Stephanie.
00:04:54.220I mean, we're talking like toxic relationship with your employer.
00:04:57.100It doesn't matter what the reason is that someone wants to leave.
00:04:59.340They want to leave. Let them go. Goodbye. OK, you can't have this sort of a relationship with your employees.
00:05:05.980Like, but she was under a lot of pressure and she thought, well, does this mean she's going to steal more clients from me?
00:05:11.660I made Jennifer Abel. No one leaves me and takes one of my clients.
00:05:16.600OK, so despite the fact that Jennifer Abel gave six weeks notice, like I said, she was going to leave in July.
00:05:25.660She's like, you know, I'm not going to leave until August to give you time right before she's about to leave.
00:05:31.620Steph Jones calls her in. She's got a lawyer. She's got this, you know, chief level.
00:05:36.840I think it was the CEO there. She's got security. And she's like, we need your phone because we have a subpoena that we're complying with.
00:05:44.240And we're taking your personal phone. Jennifer Abel's crying.
00:05:48.980She's like, I've had this phone number since high school. What do you mean?
00:05:52.620It has all my pictures, my Facebook, everything. And she's like, nah, hand over your phone right now.
00:05:58.320It's going down like this. OK, she hands over her phone and there you have it.
00:06:02.600Suddenly these text messages that are in her Jennifer Abel's personal phone end up in The New York Times.
00:06:07.980I had to just give you that backstory because you have to remember why it's so important.
00:06:11.960Now, the million dollar question for all of us that were looking at this was what subpoena was Stephanie Jones complying with?
00:06:21.400What there was no lawsuit. This went down in August. Right.
00:06:25.240There was no lawsuit until December. What subpoena was she complying with?
00:06:31.380Well, we finally have our answer and it's positively shocking. Check out this headline.
00:06:35.780It reads, this is in the Daily Mail, revealed Blake Lively's super shady legal tactic that set off the war with Justin Baldoni before he even had a clue.
00:06:48.560OK, I'm now going to tell you how they managed this hat trick.
00:06:52.880And they're even like it's even crazier and there are more lies that are being told on top of it.
00:06:57.460So we've created this new timeline for you so that you understand this.
00:07:00.720On July 10th, 2024, Jennifer Abel tenders her resignation.
00:07:04.560She's supposed to leave on August 23rd.
00:07:07.760On August 21st, that's when Stephanie Jones confiscates Jennifer Abel's phone.
00:07:13.560OK, we're going to get skip the August 29th when we're going to get to that later.
00:07:17.260Then on September 27th, a sham lawsuit is filed.
00:07:22.380Now, what sham lawsuit are we talking about?
00:07:24.820I want to skip ahead and show you this because what went down and I'm going to tell you this is me reading into the situation now.
00:07:45.480And they all scrambled on the back end and they said, holy crap, we need to get we need to pretend that there's a real subpoena.
00:07:52.340Otherwise, you maybe just stole your employee's phone and now we're about to go to The New York Times.
00:07:56.880So they actually found a lawyer to give them advice and to tell them how to file a fake lawsuit so that they could use that fake lawsuit to pretend that they legally took Jennifer Abel's phone.
00:08:11.540OK, so they find a woman and somehow they hit up this attorney, Samantha Katz.
00:08:17.620She is the moron that involved herself.
00:09:17.780The language throughout the lawsuit is intentionally vague because they never wanted the public to find it.
00:09:25.340OK, they never want to find this is, again, they're trying to work backwards to legitimatize something that they likely stole.
00:09:31.740So I'm going to read you directly from this sham lawsuit.
00:09:34.880It writes, it accuses the 10 Jane Doe's of, quote,
00:09:38.260They have participated and may continue to participate in efforts to harm plaintiff, including by failing to act in plaintiff's best interests, taking actions to their personal benefits at plaintiff's expense,
00:09:53.740failing to freely communicate with plaintiff regarding matters that impact plaintiff's business and reputation and disclosing to third parties and failing to keep strictly confidential plaintiff's confidential and or private information.
00:10:09.900This is just words like Samantha Katz, OK, was just typing words so that they could get a lawsuit filed that they never intended to do anything but drop because for whatever reason, maybe there's a personal relationship there.
00:10:25.500She's trying to help out Steph Jones and Ryan and Blake to legitimatize this phone, which they have seized from Jennifer Abel that they are about to go mainstream with with The New York Times.
00:10:37.760And the fastest that she is able to get that lawsuit out is actually a month after they've already taken the phone.
00:10:46.180They filed this lawsuit in September, the end of September, September 27th, 2024.
00:10:54.460That then allows so that you guys understand that then allows them to give it any lawyer at that point can just write a subpoena.
00:11:03.680Right. So the way that subpoenas work, just to remind you guys, I got that crazy subpoena.
00:11:07.500You know, regarding Kanye's lawsuit. OK, so somebody filed a lawsuit against Kanye.
00:11:11.420Then their lawyer wrote a subpoena. And of course, a normal person is not going to comply with a ridiculous subpoena.
00:11:19.200So I'm not complying with that. I'm going to go. Good luck getting a judge to sign off on this.
00:11:23.980You're not getting five years of my phone records because you had to watch the Batman with Kanye West.
00:11:30.580That says I'm not complying with that. Right.
00:11:32.520But Stephanie, of course, then tried to pretend that she complied with it.
00:11:35.860But this was all being done backwards.
00:11:37.780She had already taken the phone. And that's why she never wanted to show anybody this subpoena.
00:11:43.640OK, that's why she was being weird, cagey.
00:11:46.600They wouldn't answer the lawsuit because they had hit it purposely because it's a sham.
00:11:50.280Now let's get into Van Zandt Incorporated, the plaintiff that is listed and that which they never wanted us to be able to uncover.
00:11:59.280So Van Zandt Incorporated has an address which is listed in New York City, 888 7th Avenue.
00:12:06.620Crazy. I worked in that building for four years.
00:12:09.760I literally worked in exactly where this is.
00:12:11.920I used to work in private equity in that exact building.
00:12:40.180And you can see that their agent that they have listed here that is to accept service on behalf of this LLC is Eric Binder.
00:12:48.360OK, so the only business when you look back through these documents of Van Zandt Incorporated, this is where it's going to get crazy.
00:12:56.620The only business that it was recorded as having completed was receiving two shipments, shipments of furniture and fabric and doors.
00:13:08.280OK, it was sent to Blake and Ryan's home in Westchester County.
00:13:13.340Now, why would they use an LLC to get Blake's?
00:13:16.920Honestly, that's kind of tax evasion, to be honest, unless they have an office which they're working from, which they could in their Westchester home.
00:13:23.920But like they're actors and entertainers, so that would be hard for me to imagine what they do.
00:13:27.600They're running it through an LLC for a tax benefit.
00:13:30.720They're likely just doing renovations to their homes.
00:15:17.740She knows when she's too close to the sun.
00:15:20.720Molly Caro is also listed as the producer for Taylor Swift's video, I Bet You'll Think About Me, which Taylor's version, which was directed by Blake Lively.
00:15:32.660And Molly Caro is also listed as an extra in the All Too Well short film, which was Taylor Swift's other song, All Too Well, both directed by Blake Lively.
00:15:42.780So there's a connection here between all of the players that we have seen involved and this sham lawsuit.
00:15:51.760My friends, you got Leslie Sloan PR, Vision PR or her PR firm, rather Vision PR, colluding with Stephanie Jones PR.
00:16:01.100And they file this sham lawsuit because they're going, crap, we took this phone and we got these messages, but we have to make sure it's above board.
00:16:11.200And so they got this Samantha Katz woman to file this lawsuit as quickly as humanly possible because then they could pretend publicly that Stephanie Jones was just complying with a subpoena.
00:16:28.140No, you weren't just complying with a subpoena.
00:16:30.300You did something evil to your former employee because you're crazy.
00:16:33.360You're an insane person, OK, because you think your employees are slaves and they can't leave.
00:16:40.100You know, I'll ruin you on the way out.
00:16:42.920And then you colluded with The New York Times and we still need to figure out which who was friends with Megan Toohey.
00:16:49.140But there's no doubt that that got started in October while pretending that they, you know, had these messages because they were acting out of subpoena.
00:16:58.700So let's just look at that new timeline, because what's interesting is it made me think I first said that there was an alibi angle here.
00:17:07.220And it initially made me think that they were working on an alibi and they were trying to go backwards were those shady text messages.
00:17:14.560You guys remember those shady text messages between Ryan and Leslie Sloan?
00:17:19.440And she starts and she's like, hey, it's Les.
00:18:55.260On October 1st is when the actual subpoena was issued because you need the lawsuit first.
00:19:00.860And then you can say, ha ha, we have a subpoena.
00:19:03.960So the fastest that Samantha Katz could get that done was about five days or four days after the fact.
00:19:09.200So, again, way beyond when she took that phone, which is why they refused to show us the actual literal subpoena and also because the law firm could be in big trouble.
00:19:19.860On October 31st is when we were able to track that New York Times metadata.
00:19:24.280Then you have October 10th, which we're going to talk about.
00:19:28.160I just told you that the address that's listed, the address that's listed on those on Van Zandt LLC is 888 7th Avenue in New York City.
00:22:24.800We know when you took her phone versus when that subpoena was actually signed off on.
00:22:29.140And the reason she's holding that subpoena close to her chest is because Samantha Katz, there's going to be some personal relationship there.
00:22:36.100And she's trying to protect that law firm.
00:23:16.680They all should go spend some time in jail, in my personal opinion.
00:23:19.960I'm not saying like throw the key away.
00:23:22.000I'm just saying like they should have to spend a couple of nights in jail, have somebody bail them out and do the walk of shame because it's theft.
00:23:31.440It's I'm flying in the COO of the company theft from New York and I have a security guard and I have a lawyer next to me.
00:23:40.640And I'm forcing you to sign these documents and hand me your phone because I'm lying to you and saying that I'm complying with the subpoena kind of theft.
00:23:52.480And all this because of your ego is even crazier, at least maybe if somebody stole Snicker bars because they were hungry, you're just a crazy, insane, deranged, wealthy person that's high on power.
00:24:03.620Anyway, so I call him now when I ask him like what's going to happen because some heads have to roll.
00:24:07.380And the first thing he said was like because he recognized a law firm in New York and he's like, this is a very big law firm.
00:24:57.880And federal Rule 11 also outlines what those specific requirements are for signings, pleadings.
00:25:04.000And they can impose sanctions if a lawyer engages in bad conduct or bad faith.
00:25:09.440An attorney can even lose their law license.
00:25:11.680So this, like I said, this is why they're hiding it.
00:25:13.280The courts take it extremely seriously because they want to deter this sort of conduct out of the courtroom.
00:25:18.540And so what he's saying is New York has a similar rule, which is known as Part 130,
00:25:23.200where the court can issue sanctions for attorneys or parties to frivolous conduct.
00:25:28.140And that's what they're being so hush hush about.
00:25:30.460Regarding Jennifer Abel, well, Jennifer Abel, I'll tell you what she's able to do.
00:25:35.560She can now go the criminal route if she'd like to.
00:25:37.760She effectively had her phone stolen by her employer under the guise of legitimacy in a state that does not play around with that, by the way.
00:25:45.940California has some very strong laws on the books for consumer privacy that protects employees.
00:25:52.880Your employer can't just go through your phone and take things because they want to.
00:25:57.160And I'm hearing that she's considering going that legal route, and I hope she does.
00:26:04.540You know, and here's what I'll say in conclusion.
00:26:05.920If everyone had settled when I told them to, which just couldn't happen because everyone here involved is a narcissist,
00:26:13.140no one would be in this predicament, but no one ever listens to me.
00:26:16.960Also, I got to tell you guys really quickly before we get into some sponsors,
00:26:21.680somebody also pointed out to me, like, how long Ryan's been a psycho.
00:26:25.580Remember I read you that email that came in from his teacher who said, like,
00:26:29.800he had very serious issues when he was young and talked about how he got kicked out of this drama class and he would, like, fake cry and do all of these deranged things.
00:26:37.900Well, somebody dug up that Ryan also set his school on fire and bragged about it years later because he was in the high of everyone thinks Ryan is great and none of us kind of noticed he was a psychopath.
00:26:47.320And this is a real article that was published in the Arizona Daily Star.
00:26:52.560It says Ryan Reynolds is funny even when he's serious.
00:26:56.240And it tells the story of him reflecting on the fact that he first and foremost had flunked out of a high school drama class because he would ditch out and he was working on all this personal drama.
00:27:08.320I'm assuming that's related to his father because we've already confirmed he had a lot of issues with his dad's.
00:27:13.200But he said that he really set fire to a tree.
00:28:54.500Also, if you are just growing in size like me or just someone who values sleep in general, then you have to hear about Cozy Earth.
00:29:03.640It's another one of my favorite companies.
00:29:05.200I recently started using Cozy Earth sheets and I have never slept better.
00:29:10.260You definitely want to make sure that you're getting good rest, comfortable nights of sleep at nighttime when you are nine months pregnant.
00:29:46.180Visit CozyEarth.com and use my exclusive code, Candice, and you'll get 40% off Cozy Earth's best-selling sheets, towels, pajamas, and more.
00:30:28.740He had died at the age of 88 years old.
00:30:31.040Obviously, we knew Pope Francis was sick.
00:30:33.980He was history's first Latin American pope.
00:30:37.860He died just this morning, the bells tolled at the churches, from his native Argentina, that's where he was from, to the Philippines, all across Rome.
00:30:46.400And it was reported that he passed away at 7.35 a.m.
00:30:52.460Now, like I said, there have been a lot of emotions about this, a lot of people that are commenting.
00:30:59.400I feel ill-equipped to speak on the matter.
00:31:02.700And there are a lot of opinions, obviously, more liberal to conservative opinions, people who were happy about the things that he did, people who were disappointed.
00:31:11.380When I was studying to become a Catholic and I had these two cantankerous English priests that were lecturing me all the time, one of the things that they said was, you know, when it comes to the Catholic family, there must always be an undercurrent of reverence.
00:31:32.160Obviously, this is the pope that we're speaking about.
00:31:35.440And so you have to make sure that you're speaking about things respectfully.
00:31:38.920And I understood that as, you know, in your family sometimes when you're venting about something like your sister, your cousin, my sister's this, driving me crazy.
00:31:49.900But then like if your friends join in on chorus and they're like, your sister is this, you're like, don't talk about my sister like that.
00:31:55.880You know, I think it's like one of those things where people should understand that this is the pope that we're speaking about and it's a position that should be respected.
00:32:05.100And we look towards the future, pray for him, we pray for his soul, obviously.
00:32:09.560And there have been just so many tremendous things, by the way, that have been going on this year.
00:32:16.340And as we come out of the Lent season of penance and he is risen, I just cannot remark enough how much the church is growing, the Catholic church is growing.
00:32:27.720And I'm talking about all across Europe, there seems to be this almost reactionary movement that's happening and it's being reported in the mainstream media everywhere that people are being drawn specifically to the Latin liturgy, which is something, you know, that he scaled back significantly while he was the pope.
00:32:48.740And yet the opposite thing is happening where people are being drawn toward the Latin church.
00:32:53.660And no sooner did I say this on Twitter than New York Post or on X, whatever it's called, than the New York Post did an entire piece speaking about just that, about how all across the Southern Belt, you are seeing, and this is the title of the article, young people are converting to Catholicism in mass, driven by a pandemic, Internet and lax alternatives.
00:33:14.140And it is definitely a piece that is worth reading. If you have time, you can go find that.
00:33:19.020They just spoke to like four different people who were being confirmed or people who had converted away from Protestantism and asked them what was drawing them.
00:33:27.220And it remarks on the fact that in some dioceses, like in Fort Worth, there's been a 75 percent increase.
00:33:34.000We're seeing the exact same thing in Nashville. We are noticing that Gen Z in general overall seems to be moving toward a more traditional lifestyle, whether you're talking about their interests in wanting to get married younger, very conscious about what they're eating, interested in farming.
00:33:52.020The fact that Ballerina Farm is such a big account on Instagram and really what she's selling is a traditional lifestyle.
00:34:00.200The Gen Zers are definitely moving away. And to have so many new converts is a blessing.
00:34:06.600And to see that direction and what's contributing to that, I think, and this is, again, my opinion, feel free to dismiss it, is that we are realizing on a spiritual level that we need authority.
00:34:17.260And I think the 60s generation was all about like, let's just do whatever, you know.
00:34:23.100My granddad always said the hippies ruined everything.
00:34:26.060And I think the ground was fertile when you want less structure for, I guess, what one person said to me, and it may have been my priest that I'm telling you about, my cantankerous English priest who said, you know, Protestantism was the original protest, right?
00:34:40.240It was the original protest away from authority.
00:34:42.520You can agree with that. You cannot agree with that.
00:34:44.060I'd be interested to hear because I know there's so many Protestants listening to this.
00:34:47.760But I thought it was quite interesting to just kind of think about that, to think through that.
00:34:51.220And I was a Protestant, obviously, when I was hearing these words.
00:34:54.020And I thought I never really thought about that. I never really thought about the word protest in that.
00:34:57.680But I think what's happened is the the fruits of those seeds, so to speak, people are looking around and they're going, things are just just seem out of control.
00:35:19.520And so when I see all these articles popping up about people that are not just being driven to the Catholic faith, but being driven to the Latin mass, that's the way that I read it.
00:35:29.240And like I said, I'd be really interested to hear what you guys think about it and whether or not you think it is a good thing.
00:35:33.740What do you whether you think America needs more Catholicism or if you're anti if you're if you're like how I used to be two years ago.
00:35:40.060I can't judge you because I was literally Protestant and you're thinking we the Catholics worship Mary.
00:36:30.360I think that's kind of now where we're at with Zionism.
00:36:32.740Like they have I think they're quite shocked and angry that they've somehow lost control of the debate when they had everything in their favor, meaning the money, the mainstream media, the influencers.
00:36:43.120It was there was no way they could lose the Israel debate.
00:36:46.420You know, they had control over tick tock here.
00:36:49.080And yet something else is breaking through because of Joe Rogan and Ian Carroll and Candace Owens, who are just kind of speaking to people and listening.
00:36:58.560And so we're once again back in this rhythm where it feels like COVID again, where we're being lectured by people who can't just present a moral argument and instead are being angry.
00:37:11.260And nobody was more angry than Roseanne when she said that she was going to F me up.
00:37:16.100I don't know if we still have that clip.
00:37:40.040But I think when she got fired for being a Jew hater, and she is a Jew hater on every level, and from medieval times with her blood libel bulls***.
