00:00:00.000 I'm going to head to the gym and then I'll take you along with me to Costco.
00:00:04.780 So, I wanted to go over some of the menu with you guys.
00:00:06.900 I can't give you guys too much of an in-depth look in all these costumes, but they are gorgeous.
00:00:30.000 Good morning, friends.
00:00:37.420 I am so busy today.
00:00:40.380 I have so many errands to run and I have so many projects that I'm working on.
00:00:47.260 I have rehearsal tonight, so I'm going to take you guys along for that.
00:00:50.940 I normally don't do my makeup first thing in the day because usually I go to the gym,
00:00:56.340 but I don't know that I'm going to have time later today to do this.
00:01:02.400 And also, I'm probably going right from the gym to do a bunch of errands and all that fun stuff. 0.96
00:01:10.240 So, I figured I would just do my makeup now, get it out of the way, say hello to my giant zit.
00:01:17.500 Guys, I just opened my library card and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
00:01:25.540 I am using it for audiobooks.
00:01:27.980 I'm listening to The Age of Innocence, although it only gives it to me for two weeks,
00:01:32.540 which I guess might be long enough, but for me it's like,
00:01:34.920 two weeks, I got to do it right now.
00:01:36.660 I have to run to the grocery store today because I am cooking for Shabbat, Sabbath. 0.83
00:01:43.860 That's the Hebrew word for Sabbath.
00:01:45.680 I am having a bunch of people over, so I have to cook a big meal and I don't have a lot of the food at home.
00:01:53.000 So, I think we're going to do a Costco run.
00:01:55.800 Yeah, I think that's probably what we're going to do.
00:01:57.720 There's a new video going up today and I'm going to post that as well as my newsletter is going out today.
00:02:04.260 Well, for you guys it won't be today, but for me it's today.
00:02:09.640 And I'm also going to be writing a few articles for my new job with Evie magazine.
00:02:17.580 I am trying to write a few things.
00:02:20.420 One of them is going to be about the new Taylor Swift documentary, so get ready for that.
00:02:25.200 I'm excited to take you guys through my morning routine a little bit today.
00:02:31.320 What does your morning routine look like?
00:02:33.180 What do you guys normally do?
00:02:34.740 Lately, what I've been doing is I have been waking up, just going straight downstairs and praying,
00:02:41.340 and then I'll do a little bit of stretching, and then I'll go right to the gym.
00:02:46.000 So, I've been enjoying that sequence of events.
00:02:49.120 I'm going to do that today.
00:02:50.200 And then usually I don't eat breakfast until a little bit later in the day, depending on how I'm feeling.
00:02:54.660 Sometimes I wake up and I'm very hungry, so.
00:02:57.720 Oh my gosh, I really have opera stuck in my head right now.
00:03:03.080 I put some opera in my Insta stories while I was doing the laundry, and now I can't get it out of my head.
00:03:10.760 I just have Pavarotti singing,
00:03:12.120 And, yeah, that's in my head right now while I'm doing my eyebrows.
00:03:20.760 So, funny thing, I was planning on doing just a fully cream makeup look today because, I don't know, I've been really liking that.
00:03:30.860 Especially in the winter, it's nice when you have dry skin.
00:03:33.240 It just kind of makes your skin still look fresh and glowy.
00:03:35.760 But, because I got this big honker of a zit on my cheek, I don't want to be pulling around creams to try and blend them out because I'm pretty sure that'll lift up the concealer.
00:03:45.740 So, I am just going to go in with my powders today.
00:03:48.960 So, the opera opens in about a week, and I'm really excited for everybody to see it.
00:03:56.000 It is beautiful, and the singing is amazing.
00:04:00.080 I actually know one of the singers from We Work Together in Opera Maine, so that was really fun.
00:04:07.600 And so, it was really nice to see her again.
00:04:09.620 There are a bunch of other people who are just fantastic.
00:04:12.280 And the whole thing is, it's a comedy, so it's really, really funny.
00:04:16.720 But the staging, the sets, the costumes, it's all gorgeous.
00:04:22.220 And, of course, I'll be there, cigarette girl, for your cigarette needs. 0.97
00:04:27.060 My costume is so much fun, and I'm really excited to wear it on stage with everyone else.
00:04:33.080 So, I'm just going to finish up here, and we'll chat later.
00:04:42.280 So, I just wanted to briefly pause and mention this new candle.
00:05:01.620 Can it focus?
00:05:02.500 Yeah.
00:05:02.920 That I bought at Kohl's.
00:05:05.880 It smells so good, and my husband loves it, and we burned it when we had friends over for
00:05:10.920 a board game night, and we all loved it.
00:05:12.740 So, check this out.
00:05:14.600 It is so good.
00:05:15.760 Yes.
00:05:36.080 So, now I'm going to head to the gym, and then I'll take you along.
00:05:40.920 So, I just finished working out, and now I'm at Costco.
00:05:45.160 So, hopefully, we can pick up everything I need on my list to cook for Shabbat.
00:05:49.000 It's busy today, so let's see how this goes.
00:05:57.740 Here is today's shopping list.
00:06:00.120 Let's see if we can find everything on it.
00:06:02.980 I am hiding in an aisle because I've never vlogged in public before.
00:06:06.740 So, let's see how this goes.
00:06:10.820 So, this wasn't originally on the list, but we always need wine because it's hard to find
00:06:15.240 kosher wine out here in Nebraska, and we're having guests.
00:06:19.020 So, kosher wine.
00:06:20.840 Costco for the win.
00:06:22.020 Woo-hoo! 1.00
00:06:22.360 So, little-known fact is that on a lot of packaged foods, we have kosher symbols to help us figure
00:06:39.740 out what's kosher and what's not.
00:06:41.220 So, I'm going to show you one on a package right now.
00:06:43.440 So, as you can see on this package right here, it has an OEA, which means Orthodox Union,
00:06:48.120 and it tells me that this is kosher-certified.
00:06:55.440 I've got me two more things.
00:07:13.440 So, most of the groceries are unpacked, but now I have to sit down and do some work.
00:07:35.860 I had a little costume change, but I wanted to get out of my sweaty workout clothes, and
00:07:41.560 now I'm going to be doing some writing and also some posting on social media about my
00:07:48.060 new video, which you guys should check out, Busting Five Opera Myths.
00:07:52.300 So, I'm done with all of my work on the computer.
00:08:06.540 It took a while, but I got my newsletter out, and what else did I do?
00:08:11.700 I edited my website.
00:08:13.940 I posted my new video.
00:08:16.240 I posted on socials, and I worked on some articles.
00:08:21.620 But now, I'm going to be cooking for Shabbos, so I wanted to go over some of the menu with
00:08:26.300 you guys.
00:08:27.300 So, my plan is to make pea soup, chicken, and it's going to be like salsa, mushrooms,
00:08:32.980 and spinach, sweet and sour meatballs, salad, rice, and a fruit sorbet.
00:08:39.980 So, let's see if I can get all of this done in two hours, because I have to, and then we'll
00:08:46.460 see what I can get done for the rest of the day before I have rehearsal.
00:08:51.620 All right.
00:08:53.160 B 싶é. 0.84
00:08:57.620 So the cooking is basically done.
00:09:23.740 It was a little bit stressful to get everything done.
00:09:26.120 I thought I timed it better today, but still hard trying to get everything done.
00:09:31.440 Quite a menu, so if you want to take a look at what's on the stove.
00:09:35.620 Here's what we've got boiling on the stove, and we've got my pea soup in the back, and
00:09:41.500 here are the sweet and sour meatballs, kind of exploding, but it needs to be that way
00:09:46.280 so they can cook.
00:09:48.280 Weeeeeee. 0.98
00:09:49.600 Weeeeeee. 0.98
00:09:51.600 Weeeeeee. 0.98
00:09:53.600 Weeeeeee. 0.98
00:09:54.600 Weeeeeee. 0.98
00:09:55.600 Weeeeeee. 0.98
00:09:56.600 Weeeeeee. 0.98
00:09:57.600 Weeeeeee. 0.98
00:09:58.600 Maestro, when we are set, I would love to take it from measure 95, please, in number
00:10:05.600 21A.
00:10:06.600 Measure 95.
00:10:07.600 I'll let you know when we're set.
00:10:09.280 Okay guys, I know I'm in the dark, but I'm backstage, and we are waiting to go onto the
00:10:15.600 stage to do some staging and deal with the teching and the lights and all of that, but
00:10:21.120 I just wanted to tell you that we're in rehearsal and things are going well.
00:10:24.280 We have to do some 잠깐만on.
00:10:26.160 We have to do the summer building.
00:10:30.600 We have to do some of theilities for todays.
00:10:45.240 So folks will be delighted if it's going right because they do so, but, but I hope we're
00:10:52.120 Welcome to Backstage.
00:11:20.160 We've got some dressing rooms.
00:11:23.160 We've got the costumes in there.
00:11:25.160 You can hear the stage director over the PA system.
00:11:30.160 And you can see we've got a canteen.
00:11:33.160 Some really wonderful people volunteer to give us food.
00:11:37.160 And yeah.
00:11:40.160 Welcome to the wig and makeup room. 1.00
00:11:43.160 This is my beautiful wig.
00:11:45.160 Here are some other examples.
00:11:47.160 We have the best wig and makeup artists ever.
00:11:51.160 We're so lucky.
00:11:52.160 So yeah.
00:11:53.160 It's been a busy day.
00:11:55.160 We were fixing some stuff for the second act.
00:11:59.160 We did the first act yesterday.
00:12:01.160 And yeah.
00:12:02.160 It's been good.
00:12:04.160 Welcome to the dressing room.
00:12:06.160 As you can see we've got the lights off right now.
00:12:08.160 Because we're not doing makeup tonight.
00:12:10.160 But we've got the lights on over here.
00:12:12.160 And we've got our costumes.
00:12:14.160 Ooh.
00:12:15.160 Looking good.
00:12:17.160 Oh my goodness.
00:12:18.160 Look how pretty my skirt is.
00:12:19.160 I can't give you guys too much of an in depth look at all these costumes.
00:12:23.160 But they are gorgeous.
00:12:25.160 But you know.
00:12:26.160 Here's my little outfit for rehearsal.
00:12:28.160 I wanted to be in a little bit of a shorter skirt actually.
00:12:31.160 Just because.
00:12:32.160 Shorter sweater really.
00:12:33.160 Because I'm wearing a short skirt for the production.
00:12:36.160 So I'm getting in character one night early.
00:12:39.160 And yeah.
00:12:40.160 This is where we all hang out during rehearsal.
00:12:43.160 So that was my day.
00:12:50.160 Unexpectedly.
00:12:51.160 Really really complicated.
00:12:53.160 I ended up having way more to do than I thought I would.
00:12:57.160 But hopefully it sort of turned out well.
00:13:00.160 And I'm excited for you guys to see what we're doing here.
00:13:05.160 So yeah.
00:13:06.160 Thank you guys so much for watching.
00:13:08.160 And I'll see you guys in my next one.
00:13:09.160 Bye.
00:13:13.160 Bye.
