00:00:23.040 weekly articles make sure to head over to classicallyabby.substack.com honestly guys head

00:00:29.760 over there like it is so good over there i'm so proud of the content that i put on my sub stack

00:00:35.440 and i've loved i've loved getting to meet so many of you um it's been such a cool experience growing

00:00:41.600 that community over there and legitimately getting to talk directly to you in our zooms it's so cool

00:00:48.240 so if you want to be a part of that make sure to head over okay so i just wanted to chat i feel

00:00:53.360 like it's been a while since we've just hung out chatted as you can hear uh my voice is a little

00:00:58.560 weird i've been kind of losing it on and off been feeling kind of like stuffy i had a fever one night

00:01:07.280 but like this isn't actually coming to fruition whatever this is i don't know if i'm gonna like

00:01:13.200 get hit like a freight train in in two days or something but it's been like three days of just

00:01:18.640 hovering on and off with this feeling a little sick but i've got a very deep voice right now which

00:01:23.920 is hilarious um so you could definitely hear that but i i just wanted to come on and say hey like

00:01:33.200 now that we're in the house i feel so much better about filming because i can just film in the middle

00:01:37.200 while mr baby takes his nap and it's so pretty and bright here um i got my hair done today

00:01:46.320 so the story with that is that i got my hair done back in july um to look like the one of the main

00:01:54.880 characters from the new top gun and i really liked my hair a lot but the highlights were getting more

00:02:01.280 and more bleached out and more and more stark from my actual hair color and uh i just wanted to go

00:02:08.160 back to basics so i went to a new hair salon in florida and i asked them to basically take my

00:02:16.080 highlights that i had and color them like one or two shades lighter than my natural hair color

00:02:20.800 and she did it and she also was like i'm also gonna fix up your hair i'm gonna like cut your hair 1.00

00:02:25.360 i said okay whatever just i'm really laid back when it comes to my hair and so she just went at

00:02:31.040 it like started cutting like crazy but i really like it she took out a ton of weight from my hair 0.99

00:02:36.320 because i have a lot of hair like it's thin in strand but i have a lot of it so whenever i go to

00:02:44.400 get my hair done i actually prefer when they lighten up the weight or else it just gets really like limp

00:02:48.880 and heavy so she did a great job i really like it a lot um i also had uh like nail polish on gel

00:02:57.360 gel nails from russia shana which is almost a month ago and i just got i just got like nothing on my

00:03:03.520 nails because i wanted to get to keep them healthy but yeah that's my my my hair update my nail update

00:03:11.920 so that's cool we are moved into our house we're doing some small projects here and there

00:03:18.720 um one big project so as you can probably see we have a screened in pool so cool and we got that

00:03:26.160 completely refurbished that was really exciting because the screen was like coming apart in a lot

00:03:32.240 of places it had like a big one of the screens was just entirely gone and we talked to somebody and

00:03:38.480 he refurbished the whole thing really well in like a week and it's beautiful and there are no

00:03:42.960 more bugs in there and we can go swimming in peace uh which is a blessing um and it's really

00:03:50.560 really cool like to think that this is my house is crazy i have to wrap my head around it it's funny

00:03:57.120 i actually recorded a girl chat that i didn't post about two weeks ago when i was in the throes of some

00:04:02.720 anxiety and i i'm still in like a little bit of that place just like a little bit i was really excited

00:04:11.120 about it when i initially recorded it and then when i was editing it i thought to myself you know

00:04:14.720 i'm not in this place anymore so i was kind of talking through some of my concerns and fears and

00:04:20.000 and i'm not opposed to sharing that stuff i actually think it's really good to talk about it but it felt

00:04:24.960 almost dishonest to share it in that moment because i wasn't feeling those things anymore so it's nice to

00:04:31.120 be able to sit down and be out of that kind of haze and fog and just be a little bit more open and happy

00:04:38.000 to talk to you guys um and not feel like i'm needing to share something or overshare which is

00:04:46.400 an interesting thing i think it's really easy when you're in this space on youtube to overshare and to

00:04:52.880 want to be super open and honest i think there's a fine line between being open and honest for the

00:04:59.200 good of my subscribers and being open and honest to my detriment and i think that it's important to

00:05:05.280 to to be true to the to what's good for me and what's good for you guys so this feels better this

00:05:13.040 feels a little more collected on my end but it was interesting because in that video i talked a little

00:05:19.600 bit about sleep training and i was saying like i am so over sleep training and at the time mr baby was

00:05:26.240 not sleeping all through the night it was really stressing me out and within a week of that he started

00:05:32.320 sleeping in his crib he started like waking up once a night and then going right back to sleep

00:05:37.840 and it's crazy to think that i was really stressing about this this sleep training stuff and then one

00:05:45.520 week later it all turned around you know i i do think that there are some benefits to a little bit of

00:05:52.400 sleep training but i think that we get ourselves so wrapped up and crazy about like get it everything

00:05:58.240 that's great and just wanting to get that night of sleep that is more stressful than just accepting

00:06:07.760 that you might not sleep well for a really long time like that's okay i can be okay with

00:06:16.000 saying okay you're gonna wake up once a night for a year and feed your baby and then go back to sleep

00:06:22.880 i can deal with that much better than i can i'm doing everything wrong and that's why my baby's

00:06:28.880 not sleeping and that's why i'm a bad mom like sleep training gets in your head so hard makes you feel 0.99

00:06:35.120 like such a bad mom and it's so stupid like if your baby's thriving if you're surviving during the day 1.00

00:06:41.760 like who cares do your best do what you can to to make yourselves okay and then and then stop like calm down 1.00

00:06:52.160 you know for us on jewish holidays let's say sabbath no matter what i do during the week no matter

00:06:59.520 what routine we're in and we have a routine it's all going to go out the window on saturdays because

00:07:04.320 we go to people's houses for lunch and we're out all day and mr baby won't sleep for his you know

00:07:10.240 normal one and a half two hour nap if we're out and about it's just not going to happen and you just

00:07:15.280 have to be okay with that if you want to be you you can make yourself crazy and like never leave the

00:07:21.440 house because you want to have those perfect naps but why like why would you do that now i'm maybe a

00:07:27.920 little crazy in that i believe it's nice for him to go to bed at the same time every night so i don't

00:07:32.320 like going out in the evenings because i think uh you know unless we're doing a date night or something

00:07:37.040 and someone's babysitting i don't like bringing him out in the evenings because i think it's just not nice

00:07:40.560 to him like i wouldn't want to be out past my bedtime if i was baby so i try not to do that but

00:07:47.440 i think making yourself insane with the routine it's just not gonna make anybody happy not even your

00:07:54.240 baby so this past month was really stressful just because uh we were doing jewish holidays like every 0.99

00:08:02.400 two seconds and so that routine that we're out of only once a week during the normal part of the year

00:08:08.160 it was like most of the week during the holiday season so that was that was great but who cares we

00:08:15.600 had a great holiday season we got super we had a super nice time in our community mr baby's thriving

00:08:23.120 he's doing well but yeah sleep training tell me don't let it make you crazy i i've started following

00:08:29.840 you know a number of different accounts i have ones that are about sleep training and kind of give me an

00:08:34.640 idea for wake times and then i've got certain accounts that are like hey if you want to co-sleep

00:08:40.240 co-sleep and it just kind of gives me balance like i don't have to look at it and think it all has to

00:08:45.200 be one way or one or the other way just let it just be your baby's gonna figure it out and your baby is

00:08:52.880 awesome i want you to know that your baby is awesome like there's nothing wrong with your baby if

00:08:59.920 your baby isn't sleeping through the night yet my baby is seven months and he still wakes up twice he

00:09:04.320 wakes up we put him to sleep at about eight he wakes up usually around 11 30 and then usually

00:09:08.400 about three and then he goes back to sleep after your nurses and then he's fine and that is totally

00:09:14.400 fine and there are some people's babies who sleep through the night at 12 weeks that's awesome too

00:09:20.240 but your baby is awesome doesn't matter whether or not he's sleeping through the night who cares

00:09:24.880 so that's my rant on sleep training um so that's fun

00:09:32.800 but yeah the holidays were great we had rosh hashanah we had yom kippur we had sukkot and then

00:09:38.080 we had the end of sukkot called shemini at seret and simchat torah um we actually have a sukkah that's

00:09:43.360 in our backyard that we need to pull down because the holiday is over but it was awesome being invited

00:09:47.760 to so many people in our community we loved it um we're doing like i mentioned we're doing some projects

00:09:52.800 around the house so we've hung up some curtains i want to do a nursery tour i'm really excited about

00:09:57.440 that um and we recently splurged this was like one of our big splurges and we got a frame tv i don't

00:10:05.200 know if you've heard about this but there's a kind of tv where when you turn it off instead of it just

00:10:09.840 being a big black screen it displays art and it looks like a painting i mean it's backlit so that

00:10:16.240 makes it a little bit less looking like a painting but i'm looking at right now that's why i'm pointing

00:10:19.760 off screen but it's so cool because i really thought it would be nice because when we host

00:10:26.080 people on the holidays or on sabbath it would be nice if the center focal point of our living room

00:10:32.800 wasn't a black screen like if it could be a photo of our family or a photo of um or an art piece of art

00:10:40.640 like that's so much less invasive than just a black screen on the wall i like it i like it as an idea so

00:10:49.200 that was really cool i'm the art that we have up on it right now i'm like really i love it i think

00:10:53.920 it's so pretty maybe i'll try and post a picture here it's been a busy busy time and i'm excited to

00:10:59.120 get back into the swing of things with with filming um i think that now that the holidays are kind of

00:11:07.040 on their way out i can focus back on recording on writing and like having more of a schedule and

00:11:12.800 a routine honestly the lack of routine gets to me i love a routine y'all i love i love a routine

00:11:21.280 wake up in the morning make myself a cup of coffee do some yoga go for a walk every morning same thing

00:11:27.920 super important to me and i love it and that makes me feel so good is that if by like 9 a.m i've already

00:11:35.920 done five things on my to-do list they're really only there so i can check them off but to-do list

00:11:43.440 i feel like so good and then the rest of the day i'm gonna take my my time and my effort

00:11:51.520 to like get things done housework cooking work those are my three things right now that i feel like

00:11:59.200 i'm juggling a lot it's housework cooking and work now mr baby he's awesome we just hang out all day

00:12:05.840 and i feed him and we play and he's like in and among all of that stuff so that's awesome but uh

00:12:12.400 just juggling all that i think is the balance and struggle of life and i'm sure you guys get that i'm

00:12:18.240 sure you feel the same way so yeah i'm deciding whether i want to do a little motherhood update in

00:12:23.840 here or if i want to do my own video on that but i think i might save that for another video so let me

00:12:31.680 know if you guys want a motherhood update i'd love to share where we're at seven months there's been

00:12:39.520 some fun exciting developments with mr baby so that's been cool i'd love to know where you guys

00:12:44.960 are at like what's going on in your life are you doing anything fun halloween is coming up oh my gosh

00:12:50.960 how did i forget to talk about spooktober yes you should be judging me i'm judging me okay

00:12:57.040 the reason i forgot to think to talk about spooktober is because we haven't done anything

00:13:00.960 for spooktober first of all now that we live in a jewish community we don't really do spooktober

00:13:07.280 because uh people don't really do halloween here which fair enough like we have purim we've got a ton

00:13:12.240 of other holidays it's just not really our holiday but i still love spooky season i do i think it's

00:13:19.200 really fun the fact that i don't have a sweatshirt yet that says spooktober or spooky season on it

00:13:24.880 is a travesty i want to i want a sweatshirt that says spooktober or spooky season and i want a

00:13:31.840 sweatshirt that says mama why do i want sweatshirts in florida it's a fair question but i think that

00:13:37.600 they're cute and i think that wearing a sweatshirt and leggings is cuter than wearing a big t-shirt

00:13:44.320 and leggings that's just my feeling but actually i kind of want to hear your thoughts on that one

00:13:48.880 what do you think share it in the comments below i want to know if you're doing anything for spooktober

00:13:53.040 if you're in the fall season if you're in this fall spirit um we've been watching no scary movies

00:14:01.440 not even spooky movies should i be watching hocus pocus should i see hocus pocus too

00:14:07.680 i don't know guys drinking lots of tea though that makes me feel folly

00:14:12.240 and it's been getting like cold in the mornings here which i didn't think ever happened but it's

00:14:16.800 been happening a little bit lately so that's nice and i guess my hair makes me feel a little bit

00:14:21.040 folly because it's like darker yeah i'm sorry i got distracted i was supposed to end this video i

00:14:26.240 feel like but i just kind of kept talking so thank you guys so much for watching today's video loved
