00:00:00.080 Hello beautiful ladies and welcome to today's video where we're going to be talking all about Haverdash.
00:00:08.360 Now if you haven't heard about Haverdash, Haverdash is kind of like the cheaper alternative to rent the Runway Unlimited.
00:00:14.880 So what Haverdash is, is that you can pay $59 a month and you basically have an unlimited closet.
00:00:21.400 They have a whole online closet with all of these different categories of clothes, skirts and shirts and blouses and sweaters and things like that.
00:00:29.480 And you can add that to your personal closet.
00:00:32.320 Then what happens is that they'll select three styles from your closet and send it to you in the mail.
00:00:38.140 One of the things you have to know about Haverdash as opposed to Rent the Runway is, first of all, Rent the Runway is usually $159 a month.
00:00:45.500 Now that is $100 more than Haverdash, which is a lot.
00:00:49.740 They're doing a promotion right now that's $80 for 60 days, which ends up being cheaper than Haverdash.
00:00:55.700 But in the course of time, it ends up being $159 a month, which is a lot.
00:01:00.140 The other big difference between Haverdash and Rent the Runway Unlimited is that with Haverdash, you don't get to choose what comes to you and what they send to you.
00:01:07.820 You prioritize certain things that you hope they'll send to you over the course of the month, but it doesn't always mean that they will send it to you.
00:01:14.000 So when I talked to the customer service representative, she suggested to me that if you go to their new arrivals page and you prioritize one of those, because they're new, they're probably not already sent out to people.
00:01:26.380 So you're more likely to get those when you prioritize them.
00:01:29.260 If you prioritize things that are older, then they may already be sent out to people, so you may not get them when you want.
00:01:36.060 But that is a really big drawback for me, is that you don't get to choose the things that you want and get them when you want them.
00:01:43.200 You kind of just have a rotating closet, and they send you the things that they want from the things that you like when they can.
00:01:49.040 That made things difficult, right?
00:01:50.300 For example, when I went to visit my in-laws for Thanksgiving, I was hoping I would get a dress to wear for the holidays, and I wasn't able to get a dress because they didn't send to me what I had chosen.
00:02:03.260 Instead, they sent something from my closet.
00:02:05.200 Another thing that you can do with Haverdash is that you can notify them of a return before you actually return it, and that can set the whole process in motion, so that they'll start sending you stuff even before you return things.
00:02:16.360 That's a nice thing.
00:02:17.660 I have found that it actually hasn't made things that much quicker, but that may be because of my location.
00:02:22.420 I'm in a kind of a hard location to ship things to.
00:02:24.680 Another thing that I wasn't the biggest fan of with Haverdash is that you have to send all three things back instead of just sending whatever you want back and getting something in return.
00:02:33.160 You have to send all three things back, and then you get three new things, but everything is paid for, and it is similar to Rent the Runway in that way.
00:02:41.140 It is free shipping, free dry cleaning, just like Rent the Runway Unlimited, and the selection is a little bit different because the clothing isn't runway.
00:02:49.000 It's clothing that's a little bit out of my price range generally, a little bit above what I would normally spend, maybe $100, $150, but it's not runway prices, so that might be why they're able to do $59 a month instead of $159 a month.
00:03:02.440 So when you get your box in the mail, it looks like this.
00:03:04.880 It says Haverdash on the front, and then on the back it says Life's Too Blank to wear the same thing twice, which I thought was really cute.
00:03:13.100 And then it has a hashtag Haverdash sign right here.
00:03:16.420 And it's a nice big box.
00:03:18.560 You don't actually have to ship it back in this box.
00:03:20.640 You get a bag on the inside like this, and you can use this to ship back your clothing.
00:03:30.020 And the nice thing about that is you don't have to try and fit it into this box.
00:03:33.340 You have this really roomy bag that all of the clothes fit into.
00:03:36.240 So I really do like that.
00:03:37.560 But I figured I would try some things on for you guys, let you see what I've been thinking about, and we'll hop right in.
00:03:45.100 So the first thing that I'm trying on is this jacket from ModCloth.
00:03:48.360 So I really like this, actually.
00:03:50.280 I think it's really cute.
00:03:52.180 It looks really well made.
00:03:54.140 The only issue that I tried this on earlier that I noticed is that the button holes are actually way too small for the buttons,
00:04:04.220 so they're a really big pain in the butt to do. 0.85
00:04:06.380 I tried to roll up the sleeves and use this tab here to button it, and it's too small for the button, which is really weird.
00:04:14.740 But the jacket itself is really cute.
00:04:16.520 I like the detailing up here and on the pockets, and I like the fit of it too.
00:04:21.940 I think it's pretty feminine, even though it kind of has that masculine look.
00:04:25.880 But with this drawstring at the waist, it makes it a little bit more feminine.
00:04:29.840 So yeah, I think this one is cute.
00:04:32.320 I like that I'm able to try it on, and then when I'm done with it, just return it.
00:04:37.580 So that's cool.
00:04:38.200 Next up, we have this little jacket from BB Dakota.
00:04:41.960 It is polyurethane.
00:04:43.840 It's not a real leather, but I think it looks really, really nice.
00:04:47.040 It looks expensive, and I really like the way that it fits.
00:04:50.940 I think this would be something that I could imagine purchasing, and yeah, I would recommend this one.
00:04:57.960 Last but not least, we have this skirt. 0.97
00:05:00.900 I think this is cute.
00:05:02.300 I don't think that the fabric is that nice.
00:05:05.000 I looked it up, and it's 65% cotton, and then the rest is polyester, so I don't think this is the nicest fabric.
00:05:11.400 I also just don't think it feels that expensive, but I do think it's a cute little skirt, and the length, I thought it was going to be much shorter than it was, but it actually isn't as short as I expected.
00:05:24.520 So I do like that, but this skirt, I think, is kind of cute, and yeah, it's from a company called Day2Day.
00:05:32.120 Again, wouldn't buy this, but it's cool to be able to try things and then switch them out, and it feels nice to not have to shove so much stuff in my closet.
00:05:41.900 Like, I just don't want to always have to own everything.
00:05:44.660 Sometimes it's nice to have the capability to just send something back and get something new.
00:05:50.340 So, yeah, I think this is cute.
00:05:52.960 I might wear it.
00:05:53.640 So my final thoughts for Haberdash are, if you're looking for more clothing for your closet that you don't have to actually keep in your closet, but you're not looking for clothing for specific events, it's actually a really cool kind of idea.
00:06:07.300 You don't have to pick out everything that you want for that day.
00:06:11.320 It's more like a rotating closet, and I do like the idea of that, plus it's much more affordable.
00:06:16.380 But if you're looking for a dress or a gown or a skirt specifically for a certain event, this probably wouldn't be the best fit for you.
00:06:25.600 The other thing about Haberdash is that they don't have accessories.
00:06:28.840 They don't have shoes.
00:06:29.640 They don't have earrings.
00:06:30.620 They don't have purses. 0.93
00:06:31.500 It's just clothes, but they do have a lot of jackets, which I really like.
00:06:35.220 So if you're interested in trying Haberdash, let me know in the comments below.
00:06:38.720 If you've used it before, let me know.
00:06:40.300 If you've used Rent the Runway Unlimited and you want to compare them, let me know what your thoughts are on all of this.
00:06:46.380 Thank you guys so much for watching.
