00:00:00.000 Hello, beautiful ladies, and welcome to today's video where I'm going to show you how to get this costume look for Audrey Hepburn.
00:00:07.060 Purim is this week. Purim is a Jewish holiday that's similar to Halloween in that you get to dress up and do funny outfits and things like that.
00:00:14.860 The story of Purim is very, very different than Halloween, as you might imagine.
00:00:18.480 It's about the Jewish people being saved when Haman and Achashverosh were trying to destroy them.
00:00:25.500 It's a really interesting story. You should look it up. It's fantastic.
00:00:28.660 One of my favorite actresses of all time is Audrey Hepburn. I'm obsessed with her.
00:00:33.680 People used to tell me that I looked like her, and so I used to try and do my makeup like her.
00:00:38.780 I tried to get a haircut like her once. I actually chopped off all of my hair.
00:00:42.580 So I just thought it would be really fun to try and make myself look like her.
00:00:47.020 So I used this photo. I decided this was the best photo because she's looking down, so you can get a good look at her eye makeup.
00:00:53.300 Audrey's favorite makeup style was really bold eyebrows and really big, beautiful eyes.
00:00:59.300 Her looks were much more natural for the most part.
00:01:02.020 Of course, what we're doing now was not popular in that time period, but her big, big, bold eyebrows, that's something that definitely translates to today.
00:01:11.520 The big, beautiful eyes translates to today.
00:01:13.840 And she actually overdrew her lips in many of her pictures, which you might not necessarily just think to notice.
00:01:20.260 But when you're looking at it to try and do a tutorial based off of it, you'll realize she drew over her lips as well,
00:01:26.840 which is a very common theme that we see nowadays in people's makeup.
00:01:30.560 So what I focused on, as you can see, are these very bold eyebrows.
00:01:35.060 I put on some lashes and I kind of brought some attention to the eyes.
00:01:38.900 Really satin, beautiful skin, just clean, not really complicated, and then beautiful, bold lips.
00:01:46.840 I hope you guys enjoyed this video.

00:01:51.080 Leave me a comment down below.
00:01:52.360 Would you wear this makeup just on a regular basis?
00:01:54.560 Because I feel like I would.
00:01:55.960 Maybe not so bold of an eyebrow, but something kind of similar I think is really nice.
00:02:00.660 What are your favorite costume looks?
00:02:02.440 Because I love doing costume makeup.
00:02:05.300 And tell me what products you've been using, what kind of makeup stuff you've been enjoying,
00:02:09.820 and any other things you want to talk about.
00:02:11.620 Leave it down below and I will respond to you.
00:02:13.720 So, let's get started.
00:02:15.380 I'm going to start off with this silicone primer from L'Oreal.
00:02:18.440 And I'm just going to blend this in all over the face.
00:02:20.540 I really want to smooth out any of my pores and all my imperfections so I have a good base to start with.
00:02:26.420 Then I'm going to go in with my foundation from Physicians Formula.
00:02:29.000 And I'm just going to put this all over the face.
00:02:31.320 And I really want to get a natural satin finish.
00:02:34.260 So, I'm going to blend this out with an EcoTools sponge, which is really going to give me a natural base
00:02:38.740 and give my skin a glow that's not dewy, but just kind of looks natural.
00:02:43.740 And especially because I didn't go in with a dewy primer, this is just going to look like a satin finish,
00:02:48.680 which is really what we're going for.
00:02:50.580 Then I wanted to cover up any imperfections with a skin-toned concealer.
00:02:54.140 And then I took a concealer that's a little bit lighter than my natural skin tone
00:02:58.180 and I went under the eyes just so that I could get a really nice, big-eyed effect,
00:03:03.420 which is really the point of this whole look is big eyes and big eyebrows.
00:03:06.920 I blended this out with a Real Techniques sponge that's made for the eyes.
00:03:10.380 It's small.
00:03:10.880 And then I put some of that concealer on my lids just so I could take away any of the discoloration that I have.
00:03:17.360 I tend to have a little bit of a darker lid space.
00:03:19.880 And I really wanted just to get rid of that so that I had a perfect base to start with.
00:03:24.140 Then I blended that out with that little sponge and I dipped that in powder, in a loose powder,
00:03:29.100 and I set my under eyes so I wouldn't have any creasing.
00:03:31.900 Did that on both eyes.
00:03:33.440 And then I went in with a face powder that I used last week from Wet n' Wild that I'm still using and I really love.
00:03:39.280 And I went all over the face with it because I really like the setting it gives my face.
00:03:43.380 Then I went in with the same brow pencil that I used last week as well from Wet n' Wild.
00:03:47.500 And I needed to define my brows and give them more space than they actually take up on my face.
00:03:53.360 Because Audrey Hepburn's brows, in the picture that I showed you, you can see,
00:03:56.280 she actually drew over her natural brows.
00:03:58.680 She really extended the back of her brow and she defined her arch.
00:04:03.340 So I did the same here.
00:04:04.480 I took a dark color and I really just defined my brow and actually drew outside the line a bit
00:04:09.880 just so that I could get that really big brow.
00:04:12.660 My husband even noticed it.
00:04:14.780 And I took this little spoolie and brushed everything out.
00:04:18.660 Then I went in and set my eyebrows with this gel from L'Oreal.
00:04:23.720 And I really wanted to set them down just so that they'd stay set all night
00:04:26.760 because you have all that extra product on there.
00:04:28.720 I set down my eyes with the transition shade that was just the same color as my skin.
00:04:32.880 And then I went in with a little bit of a neutral brown on that same fluffy brush
00:04:36.000 just so I could contour my eye because that's really all Audrey Hepburn is doing in most of her photos,
00:04:41.460 but especially in this one.
00:04:42.340 She's got a little bit of contour but nothing really obvious.
00:04:45.160 And I went under the eye as well just so that I could define my eye shape
00:04:48.260 and actually make them look a little bit bigger by having that shadow underneath.
00:04:51.500 I went in with a little bit of a smaller brush and a little bit of a darker shade.
00:04:54.760 And I went into my outer V just so that I could make sure that I was getting that definition that I wanted.
00:05:00.200 I really wanted to put that under the bottom of my lash line as well
00:05:03.720 just so that I could make my eyes look a little bit bigger.
00:05:06.240 And then I took a small brush and with that dark shade, I defined my upper lash line
00:05:10.780 because if you look in the picture, she actually has a little bit of definition on that upper lash line
00:05:14.520 that's not just the eyeliner.
00:05:16.140 I then took that same first shade that I was using, that's the same color as my skin,
00:05:19.780 and I applied that on my inner corners just to maintain that look of natural.
00:05:24.740 Then I went on with a black eyeshadow on a little bit of an angled brush
00:05:30.040 and I drew just all along my upper lash line and an angle at the end
00:05:35.180 that looks a little bit like a cat eye and I defined my lower lash line as well.
00:05:39.340 I really wanted to get something that looked a little bit more natural even for her
00:05:42.840 because she was using a lash definer that looked more like an eyeshadow.
00:05:48.580 Then I curled my lashes and I put on some mascara
00:05:51.280 and I put some on my top and bottom lashes
00:05:53.220 because again, you want to really grab attention with your eyes and your brows with this look.
00:05:58.160 Then I applied my lashes, as you can see,
00:06:01.380 and then I defined my nose with some contour
00:06:03.680 because her nose and my nose are very different.
00:06:06.220 So I needed to shorten the end of my nose
00:06:08.440 and draw that little line across the bridge of my nose
00:06:10.780 because that'll trick the eye into thinking that you have a little bit of a button nose
00:06:14.300 which I do not have
00:06:15.360 and then make it look like the bottom turns up.
00:06:18.040 Then I contoured my cheeks and under my chin
00:06:20.720 but I really didn't want to do too much of this
00:06:23.100 because she didn't do too much in her photos.
00:06:25.440 She just had a natural shadow in her photos
00:06:28.060 but I thought for pictures when we're going out and having fun
00:06:31.900 then you really wanted to find your cheekbones a little bit.
00:06:35.340 Then I put on some blush
00:06:36.460 and just a touch of the most natural, natural highlight that I have
00:06:40.820 and the real reason I did that
00:06:41.820 was just so that I could highlight my nose
00:06:43.300 just to trick the eye again
00:06:44.580 into looking like my nose was more similar to her shape.
00:06:48.060 Then I used this lip liner from White and Wild
00:06:50.260 and defined my lips a little bit more specifically
00:06:53.760 and I overdrew them which I rarely ever do
00:06:56.480 but this lip liner actually gives me that capability
00:06:58.840 and then I went in with this liquid lip
00:07:00.520 and I just went over my overdrawn lips
00:07:02.640 and it really looked natural.
00:07:04.460 You could barely tell
00:07:05.160 which I think is true of her as well.
00:07:07.020 I hope you guys enjoyed this video.
