00:00:00.040 Hello beautiful ladies and welcome to today's video where I'm going to be
00:00:03.560 showing you how to get this July 4th makeup look. Now I love July 4th. It's
00:00:11.560 such a fun time to be with family or friends and to celebrate America and see
00:00:15.840 fireworks. I mean what could be better, right? If you don't have a beer in hand
00:00:20.340 you're not doing July 4th right. And one of my favorite things about July 4th is
00:00:24.120 the makeup looks that you can do. So I wanted to show you guys a makeup look
00:00:27.840 that you could do for July 4th and hopefully you'll enjoy. So let's get
00:00:31.140 started. So I'm going to start off by priming my skin. I just put on the Bosha
00:00:35.880 primer that I've been using in most of my videos. I got that at a TJ Maxx. It was
00:00:39.660 one of my discount makeup videos and I love it. I cannot put it down. So the next
00:00:45.000 thing that I'm going to do is cover up some of my blemishes. Now I was using a
00:00:48.840 lot of concealers and that was working just fine but I figured I would start
00:00:53.040 using the photo focus stick foundation and I kind of just draw it on
00:00:57.780 my spots. None of these are active breakouts so I'm not spreading any
00:01:04.140 bacteria. And I'm going to take a little sponge, the one that I use for under my
00:01:07.440 eyes, and I'm just going to blend that out a little bit.
00:01:13.400 So the reason that I decided to use a mattifying primer was because on July 4th
00:01:18.240 I'm just going to assume it's going to be really really hot out and we don't want
00:01:21.900 to be sweating off our makeup right away. So I wanted to use something that was
00:01:25.140 going to mattify me down. Now I'm not trying to cover these up really really
00:01:29.880 intensely right now because I'm going to put a whole layer of foundation on over
00:01:33.180 this but I do want to get just some of the pigmentation down. The next thing I'm
00:01:36.840 going to do is go in with the healthy foundation by Physicians Formula and I'm
00:01:40.680 just going to paint this all over my face and tap it in with a damp beauty
00:01:45.540 sponge just so that I can get a nice layer of coverage but it's not going to be
00:01:49.800 cakey.
00:02:03.540 Now I'm just going to go back in with that stick foundation on my fingertip and I'm
00:02:08.760 just going to cover up these blemishes a little bit more. I'm going to go in with
00:02:15.540 this L'Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer and I'm just going to put this on
00:02:19.680 underneath the eyes just a little bit because it's really really pigmented and
00:02:24.840 it will cover up basically anything you put it on. So I'm just going to put a
00:02:28.980 little bit under the eyes and tap it out with that same damp sponge I used to
00:02:33.720 cover my blemishes. I'm also going to use this as a primer on my eyelids so I'm just
00:02:41.280 going to bring it up around now before this can move around I'm going to go
00:02:51.220 ahead and set it. So I'm going to take my Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Powder and I'm
00:02:55.160 just going to go in with my damp sponge and I'm going to set that down. Of
00:03:01.440 course make sure that if there were any creases that you patted those out first
00:03:05.340 so you're not setting creases. So I'm going to go in, check, re-pat and get a
00:03:12.180 little bit more of that powder and go under the eye. And I'm going to go on the lid.
00:03:19.500 So because my skin has been having some trouble lately I'm going to use a more
00:03:23.400 full coverage powder foundation so I'm going to use the Wet n Wild Photo Focus
00:03:27.180 and I'm just going to go in with a fluffy brush and I'm just going to set my whole
00:03:31.860 face. Now for the rest of the day if you want to control your shine because it'll
00:03:39.180 be out and about it'll be hot outside I have the Neutrogena Shine Control Powder
00:03:43.140 I really like that and I go in with just a travel brush from ELF and I can just go
00:03:48.120 in with this and tap all over the face just to set everything down over the
00:03:53.760 course of the day. Now I'm doing it now but it's also just nice to go over your
00:03:58.320 makeup whenever you're feeling a little bit too dewy or oily and you could just
00:04:04.620 kind of go in and set everything down. So the next thing I'm going to do is go in
00:04:09.840 with the Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow and I'm just going to go in with this like
00:04:15.780 all over the face. I'm going to go on my cheeks and I'm going to go around my
00:04:20.260 forehead and on my neck and the reason I'm doing this is because this is a
00:04:25.420 really glowy bronzer and in the summer we all want to look like we've been
00:04:29.720 outside and we've been bronzing and this is a nice a nice version of that
00:04:35.500 because it's shimmering which I really like and I'm not really trying to contour
00:04:40.180 you can go a little bit into those yeah like what I'm doing right now just kind
00:04:45.220 of like hit this area just to kind of give yourself a little bit more
00:04:48.400 definition but I really don't want to look too defined on July 4th because
00:04:52.840 you know you're outside and you're playing and you're with your family so
00:04:57.200 you don't need to look like cut. I'm gonna go in with a little bit of blush this is
00:05:01.660 the Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean palette which I am obsessed with it's
00:05:05.680 really good for lighter skin tones I don't think it would work too well for
00:05:08.260 darker skin tones but I find that it's really appropriate for me and I'm gonna go
00:05:12.320 in with this color here which is Caribbean it's pigmented so I'm gonna tap some of
00:05:16.600 that off and then I'm just gonna go right on this apple of the cheek a little
00:05:22.180 bit behind the apple of the cheek and sweep back and the next thing that I'm
00:05:26.740 gonna do because this is like oh yeah we're just putting on blush but the fun
00:05:30.220 thing that we're gonna do because again summer and healthy skin and dewy I'm gonna
00:05:35.260 go in with this shade here which is called Bold Spirit and this is like a blush
00:05:39.880 topper and this is gonna make you look super super like glowy on the apples of
00:05:46.820 the cheeks which is kind of fun
00:05:52.800 I don't know if it's picking up on camera but just makes me look like I got
00:05:57.840 this shine on the apples of my cheeks which is kind of fun then I'm gonna go
00:06:01.760 in with Destined right on the tops of my cheekbones and that's gonna be my
00:06:05.500 highlight and I'm also gonna put that on so I'm just gonna quickly do my eyebrows
00:06:17.680 I'm just gonna take some brow pomade this is the LA girl brow pomade and it's
00:06:21.700 the only brow pomade I've ever used but I really like it and I'm just gonna go in
00:06:25.540 with this a little angled brush I honestly think I got this at like
00:06:28.820 Walgreens but I love it and I'm just gonna fill in my brows a little bit just
00:06:35.260 give fill in those bald spots and I'm gonna set these down I'm gonna set my
00:06:43.240 eyebrows down with the L'Oreal brow stylist and this is just clear but it will
00:06:48.740 hold my eyebrows in place all day when I'm sweating and playing outside with
00:06:53.420 friends or the kids or the nieces and nephews you know the family I'm gonna
00:06:59.360 zoom you guys in and we'll go back to the eyes so now that I have you guys zoomed
00:07:02.800 in we're gonna do something really fun on the eyes so I'm gonna be using the
00:07:05.920 Jaclyn Hill palette today and I'm gonna be using the Milani Gilded Desires
00:07:10.300 palette so with a Jaclyn Hill palette we're gonna go in with some of this
00:07:14.180 really bright blue here and that's gonna be a lot of fun so the first thing that
00:07:18.680 we're going to do is we're gonna go in with a transition shade so I'm going to go
00:07:22.000 in with this color here this fourth color I'm just gonna put this in the
00:07:25.180 crease so I'm going to start here right on the outer edge here and I'm just
00:07:28.540 going to blend that in like this windshield wiper motions and circular
00:07:34.040 motions just into the crease here I'm going to do the same thing on the other
00:07:39.780 eye
00:07:44.160 the next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to go in with this really
00:07:48.220 sparkly blue shade and I'm gonna take it on a very small blending brush and I'm
00:07:53.580 gonna put this on the outer V of my eye and actually above my crease so let me
00:07:58.820 show you I'm going to tap it on this outer V here and then I'm going to bring
00:08:04.680 it up like this you can see I kind of like drew a line right now because I need
00:08:11.160 to blow this all out but we're just gonna kind of give ourselves that that
00:08:16.020 shape
00:08:31.020 now with this same brush I'm actually gonna go in with the red now the reason I
00:08:34.320 want to go in with the same brush is because I want to blend the colors
00:08:37.740 together now I don't want to get a purple so I have to be careful about that but
00:08:41.520 I'm going to try going in with this Milani color here this red color I'm
00:08:47.640 going to put this right where the blue stopped so I'm bringing it in like this
00:08:55.280 into that inner corner and you can see I'm getting a really good color payoff but
00:09:02.700 above the crease and where they meet it blends which is really cool but where the
00:09:08.420 colors alone we're getting a true red shape
00:09:21.660 now I'm just going to take that first brush that I used and I'm going to blend
00:09:26.180 this out a little bit just along the edges so that we get that really pretty
00:09:33.100 fade so now the next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to take a little pencil
00:09:39.220 brush like this a very small pencil brush I'm going to go in with a shimmery
00:09:42.280 white and I'm going to put this right on the inner corner and I'm going to drag it
00:09:46.620 in to the middle here
00:09:52.860 I'm going to take this on my finger now so I went in with the pencil brush on the
00:09:57.540 inner corner and now I'm going to go in with my finger on the lid
00:10:16.540 so you can see we've got blue on the outer corner red along this transition crease area
00:10:23.660 and then we have white on the inner corner and on the lid I'm just going to
00:10:28.660 blend out any harsh lines and that's the top lid done so now we're going to do the
00:10:36.980 bottom lid I think what I'm going to do for the bottom is just bring that red
00:10:40.420 down on the bottom lid
00:10:43.660 and then right on the outer corner I'm going to take the blue and connect it
00:10:50.660 so now I'm going to do a cat eye and finish off the eyes using my Tom Ford
00:10:57.660 eye defining pen curl my lashes and put mascara on them
00:11:02.660 so the reason that I'm going in with mascara and not with falsies is because it all has
00:11:17.660 to do with kind of the mood of July 4th I feel like it's really fun to dress up and
00:11:22.660 wear something fun that's patriotic and do your makeup but at the same time you don't
00:11:26.660 want to wear something that you're going to worry is going to come off if you're sweating
00:11:29.660 too much or if you get wet or whatever so I don't really like to wear false lashes on
00:11:34.660 days that I know I'm going to be hanging out and sitting in the heat and hanging
00:11:38.660 with my friends and all that kind of thing so mascara is a pretty good option and
00:11:43.660 generally I don't really wear falsies unless I'm going out in the evening or
00:11:47.660 something like that so yeah mascara is what I tend to go with generally anyways
00:11:56.660 and to finish off the look I'm just going to put on a red lip now I really love this
00:12:01.660 red lip this is from colourpop this is their velvet blur in questions and oh my gosh my
00:12:08.660 husband commented on this lipstick he doesn't comment on my makeup and he commented on this
00:12:12.660 lipstick twice I love this lipstick
00:12:15.660 and that's the finished look I hope you guys enjoyed today's video please
