Wearing glasses can make your eyes look smaller so you have to do a lot to make them look more normal. In this video, I give you some tips and tricks on how to do your makeup while wearing blue light glasses.
00:00:00.000Hello beautiful ladies and welcome to today's video where we're going to be doing a makeup for glasses tutorial.
00:00:08.820So I know that wearing glasses can really change the way that you do your makeup and I have a very specific prescription where my glasses actually make my eyes look smaller.
00:00:18.240So I have to do a lot to make my eyes look more normal sized when I'm wearing a pair of glasses.
00:00:24.060Now these are not actually my seeing glasses, these are my blue light glasses and the reason I'm wearing these and not my normal glasses is because I actually filmed this video twice.
00:00:35.100I tried to film this video with my normal glasses and I have such bad vision that trying to control the camera and trying to do my makeup while I was all up in this didn't look great on camera.
00:00:45.860So I figured what I would do is film the whole thing with my contacts in and then put on my blue light glasses at the end.
00:00:52.020But for me, what's really important when I'm wearing glasses is one, that my eyes have a certain standout quality and two, that my makeup doesn't get all over these.
00:01:03.400So today I'm giving you some tips and tricks to get a really beautiful look while you're wearing glasses.
00:01:11.400So I'm going to start off by putting on some primer and lately what I've been doing is using a sponge to do this because I find that it gets this poreless primer really into my pores.
00:01:21.540And just conceals those big pores on my cheeks and in my T-zone.
00:01:32.980I'm also going to tap this into my smile lines and into my forehead lines.
00:01:41.360Now I'm just taking my Physician's Formula Healthy Foundation and I'm just putting a little bit of that all over the face.
00:01:47.920I've actually been seeing for myself how much of a difference it makes when I don't like over apply my foundation because then it doesn't go into fine lines.
00:01:57.440And the fact of the matter is most of us just need to balance out our skin tone.
00:02:49.540So I want to get your guys' input and tell me whether you think that my new mic is better or worse than what I had before.
00:02:57.760Next up, I'm just going to do a little bit of spot concealing.
00:03:01.700So I bought this L'Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer, which I used to use under my eyes in a couple of videos.
00:03:07.360And I still love it for under my eyes.
00:03:09.080But it's so full coverage that I find it is fantastic for concealing blemishes.
00:03:14.400So I got one that's more similar to the shade of my foundation because normally what I'll do is I'll use a concealer that's a little bit lighter than my foundation for underneath the eyes and to highlight certain parts of the face.
00:03:25.120Well, you don't want to highlight the parts of your face that have blemishes.
00:03:28.760So you want to find a concealer that's the same shade as your foundation so it just kind of blends in with the rest of your skin.
00:03:35.040So I'm just going to go in with this little brush.
00:03:38.140And I'm just going in on the tip of this here.
00:03:40.760And I'm going to kind of cover up the little spots that I have.
00:03:44.880And then I'm just going to go ahead and blend out the edges with my finger, this brush, and maybe a sponge.
00:03:56.620Now what you can always do is go back in with just a little bit more foundation over the top of that.
00:04:26.700And I'm just going to put this underneath my eyes and in the inner corners as well as a little bit on my chin and a little bit on my forehead just to bring some light to the center of the face.
00:04:37.700Now, this is something that is super difficult when you're wearing glasses, at least for me.
00:04:43.420When I wear glasses, the first thing that's going to get messed up is this little point right here, right, where your glasses are resting.
00:04:51.160Of course, the first thing that where all the makeup is going to come off is where your glasses are.
00:04:56.700So when you are putting on concealer, you just want to make sure you tap this in really, really well so that you're not putting yourself in a position where you're going to have these marks around your nose.
00:05:09.300Of course, you're probably going to have marks anyways.
00:05:13.140But you want to give yourself the absolute best chance for that not to happen over the course of the day.
00:05:18.180So the first thing is that you actually tap out that first original level of concealer.
00:05:24.660Now, this is what I would say is probably the most important step.
00:05:28.620You're going to want to take a loose powder or a pressed powder, but I find loose powder is better for this specific thing.
00:05:34.480And you're going to want to tap that in right in that inner corner just to set that down really, really well.
00:05:42.380I'm also going underneath my eyes, but the most attention should be paid to right in this inner corner here because the powder will prevent your glasses from sticking and pulling the makeup off.
00:05:56.000Instead, it'll just glide off as it should.
00:05:59.180So we're just going to set that down really, really well and make sure that it is just totally budge-proof.
00:06:08.740Now, I'm just going to go ahead and set my whole face with the No. 7 Lift and Luminate Powder.
00:06:14.280And I am still obsessed with this powder.
