00:00:00.320 Hello beautiful ladies and welcome to today's video where I'm going to be doing an assumptions 1.00
00:00:04.920 tag.
00:00:05.920 I asked you guys on Twitter and Instagram what you guys assumed about me and I'm going
00:00:09.360 to answer those questions.
00:00:10.920 So let's get started.
00:00:12.920 Yeah, that's pretty true.
00:00:17.000 I definitely love organizing.
00:00:19.200 I actually derive enjoyment from it and I am pretty on top of stuff.
00:00:24.400 I sometimes think slip through the cracks, but generally I'm pretty on top of everything
00:00:29.200 and I really enjoy going through my house and making sure that everything's clean.
00:00:33.320 Now sometimes I take that to an extreme where when things aren't clean I really hate that
00:00:37.080 so I get a little bit like on edge, but my husband can tell you that I definitely will go through
00:00:43.400 the house and make sure things are kept clean for the most part.
00:00:46.820 I'm definitely one of those people who hates clutter.
00:00:50.080 I think that's pretty true.
00:00:53.080 I mean we're pretty smart but we work really hard and we're definitely musicals.
00:00:57.500 My dad is a musician and he really instilled in us this love of music that we all have
00:01:01.880 and share.
00:01:02.880 I am an opera singer and my brother plays the violin.
00:01:06.140 My sister used to play the cello and my other sister used to play piano.
00:01:09.940 So we all played instruments and we all love different kinds of music.
00:01:15.620 That's actually not a bad description.
00:01:19.000 I am very motivated.
00:01:21.000 I don't know if I'm always easy going.
00:01:22.880 I try to, but there are times that I'm less easy going if I really am motivated to get
00:01:28.100 something done.
00:01:30.140 And as far as being old fashioned, yes.
00:01:34.000 I definitely did well in high school.
00:01:38.380 I really liked all of the English classes and writing and I also liked history.
00:01:45.880 I didn't like sciences so much.
00:01:48.380 Math wasn't my strong suit, but I definitely worked really hard in those classes to try and
00:01:52.380 do well in them.
00:01:53.380 One of the reasons my husband and I actually started dating is that my husband in his undergrad
00:01:57.800 majored in Russian literature and in high school our AP English class was Russian literature.
00:02:03.900 So we definitely had a lot in common.
00:02:09.520 In faith, I am orthodox.
00:02:11.240 I believe that being orthodox is the standard and you shouldn't change the standard.
00:02:15.280 At this point in time, we're not keeping the standards because it's just very complicated
00:02:19.520 for us right now.
00:02:20.520 We're in a place where there's not a big Jewish community.
00:02:23.520 And so over time, we would really like to become more orthodox because we'd like to raise
00:02:27.720 our children in a more religious household.
00:02:32.520 I would say that I am saddened by the fact that classical music isn't something that
00:02:36.760 people understand for the most part.
00:02:39.440 I think that there are people who do love it and that's great because it is so beautiful
00:02:44.260 and there's so much heft to it, whereas pop music is kind of like cotton candy.
00:02:49.600 It's not complicated and you're not really doing anything unique with it for the most part.
00:02:54.420 I think that there are some talented people.
00:02:57.640 I honestly don't know much about pop music.
00:03:00.260 I don't listen to pop music for the most part.
00:03:02.700 But I do think it is sad the direction that music has taken where it's like a little bit
00:03:08.260 more...there's just not a lot going on.
00:03:15.760 I think I'm a happy person.
00:03:17.380 I work hard to be happy.
00:03:18.380 I think that being happy is something that you have to work toward.
00:03:22.280 I don't think that it's something that just occurs.
00:03:25.540 But I do think that I am a naturally optimistic person and that helps.
00:03:29.700 As far as being confident, I think that always putting on a nice dress and doing your hair
00:03:33.120 and makeup gives me confidence.
00:03:35.260 But it's funny.
00:03:36.260 I think that confidence kind of comes from this place of I like talking to people and
00:03:40.940 I think that people enjoy talking to me and I find I have confidence in interacting.
00:03:47.320 So if...but it comes more because I enjoy talking to people.
00:03:51.440 So...bad.
00:03:52.440 I don't have anything against country music.
00:03:58.720 I just don't listen to it.
00:04:00.820 I think that it's fun when it comes on.
00:04:03.040 My family used to be obsessed with Brad Paisley's Mud on the Tires album, but I haven't really
00:04:07.680 listened to much country music since then.
00:04:09.560 I like country music.
00:04:10.960 I just don't really listen to it.
00:04:14.440 I think that's true actually.
00:04:19.280 I try to make people happy and I try to do things for people, but I have strong beliefs
00:04:25.680 and strong values and I will defend those things and I will defend my family.
00:04:38.220 So I consider singing an instrument, voice an instrument.
00:04:41.340 I know that a lot of people, the average person may not.
00:04:44.480 So that's one.
00:04:46.560 I used to play violin.
00:04:47.800 I haven't played in a while, but if I picked up a violin I would know how to hold it and
00:04:51.820 how to play it.
00:04:52.820 And I play a little bit of piano.
00:04:55.060 Yes, I am very fiercely pro-life.
00:05:00.940 I didn't ever talk about that when I was in my undergrad or in my masters.
00:05:04.380 I think there's a hard thing that when you're a conservative in a liberal space, it doesn't
00:05:11.140 feel comfortable to talk about your views.
00:05:13.600 I'm sure it feels the same if you're a liberal in a conservative space.
00:05:17.060 I think that there should be a way to have an open conversation with both sides.
00:05:20.720 Now, I don't think that necessarily we have to be talking about politics in the workplace,
00:05:25.680 but I think if it is going to come up, which it sometimes does, it shouldn't be an issue
00:05:30.280 if someone on the other side disagrees.
00:05:33.500 So I felt like I couldn't talk about that when I was in the opera world because the
00:05:38.520 opera world tends to be a liberal space.
00:05:41.060 And I was worried I wouldn't get jobs because of it.
00:05:43.400 So I am, but I am fiercely pro-life.
00:05:46.360 I don't know what you mean by big.
00:05:50.940 I came from a family with four kids.
00:05:53.420 I think I want three or four.
00:05:55.900 I would like to have a big happy family, but I just want to make sure that I have enough
00:05:58.900 time to spend with each of my children.
00:06:01.380 So I don't want to have probably more than four.
00:06:06.400 I would say yes and no.
00:06:10.020 I definitely don't want to be in the political sphere like my brother is, but I'm not going
00:06:16.360 to shy away from it.
00:06:17.700 I think that it's going to come into my blog sometimes and into my YouTube videos sometimes.
00:06:23.380 I'm a traditional person.
00:06:25.400 I have some conservative values.
00:06:28.400 And I think it's an important thing to talk.
00:06:31.420 I would like my channel to be a place that I can talk about being conservative, but that
00:06:35.860 my followers could be liberal and we can have an open and comfortable discussion about that.
00:06:41.040 Because I think that the biggest issue facing American politics right now and American culture
00:06:46.420 is that we've started to view people as their politics, like you're liberal, you're conservative,
00:06:51.440 instead of saying you're a person who has liberal views or you're a person who has conservative
00:06:56.180 views.
00:06:57.180 And I think it's really important to talk to people as people.
00:07:01.100 So I would probably bring some traditional values and conservative values into my site,
00:07:05.440 and I definitely am going to be talking about my opinions, but I don't think that that should
00:07:10.940 preclude people who have differing opinions from watching and from getting involved in
00:07:17.200 the discussion.
00:07:18.200 Thank you guys so much for watching.
00:07:20.440 Please let me know in the comments if there were any assumptions I didn't respond to that
00:07:23.820 you have about me and I'll try and respond to them in the comments.
00:07:26.420 Please subscribe to my blog, subscribe to my channel, hit the like button, head over to
00:07:30.300 my Twitter and Instagram and follow me there, and I'll see you guys in the next one.
00:07:33.940 Bye!
