00:00:57.920 great battle is anthropological. What is a man? What is a woman? What is a child? What is a baby?

00:03:23.320 unguarded. Now, the term patriarchy comes from two Greek words, pater and arche. And that means

00:03:31.520 together, father rule, right? You have that patriot, that fatherland, that patriarchy,

00:03:37.780 that root word there. Now, scripture frequently uses the word patriarch. The exact term patriarchy

00:03:45.740 doesn't appear in the Bible, but neither does the word Trinity. See, both are theological terms

00:03:51.800 used to describe doctrines that scripture clearly conveys and reveals in the text.

00:04:43.840 someone rejects the Bible, they still have to reckon with the patriarchy embedded in humanity.

00:04:49.680 So the question is not whether we will live under patriarchy, but what kind of patriarchy?

00:04:56.440 Will it be passive and weak patriarchy? Will it be brutal and domineering patriarchy? Or will it
