00:00:00.000 AI has bought me back at least 20 hours a week and it could do the same for you.
00:00:04.360 Think about what you could do with an extra 20 hours. That's time with your kids,
00:00:07.720 time to finally get fit, time to do that thing you keep saying you're going to do but you haven't
00:00:11.420 even started. It's why I've been able to travel the world with my family for weeks at a time,
00:00:16.000 not being on meetings that are always taking my time and running dozens of companies that
00:00:20.320 continue to grow without me. I didn't hire more people or work harder. I just learned how to put
00:00:25.360 ai to work so it bought me back my time every single day so let's start with the fastest change
00:00:30.480 you can make connecting ai to your world the better ai knows you the faster it can start buying back
00:00:37.360 your time because the more context it has the more details it has the better the decisions it can make
00:00:42.320 on your behalf and i know what you're thinking i don't want to give ai my company information
00:00:47.280 you already do i'm pretty sure you use gmail i'm pretty sure you're on social media for your
00:00:52.720 business and their data centers and their people their security team is way more secure than yours
00:00:58.080 so just let them use it so that you can take advantage of it so here are two of the fastest
00:01:02.720 ways to feed the ai your context one is connectors in the ai you hit the plus button you go to
00:01:08.960 connectors and you start connecting every single app you got i'm talking gmail calendars notion
00:01:14.960 slack put it all in there so that when you're talking about it you don't got to copy and paste
00:01:19.280 things into it you want to say drive don't repeat yourself you don't have to tell ai things that it
00:01:24.640 can find so that's how you feed it all the context for things you've already done and then two use
00:01:29.920 your voice to dictate use your voice to tell it more things tell it about your vision you can use
00:01:35.200 whisper flow super whisper or even just the ai mic button the more context you give it the better it's
00:01:41.120 going to be able to help you i don't want to waste time typing i talk three times faster than i type
00:01:46.080 so why wouldn't i use my voice to feed the ai if you're using ai every day which you should this
00:01:51.600 first step should save you at least an hour to a week but this is just the start my friends now we
00:01:56.800 need to buy back our time with a framework i've been using for years called the buyback loop and
00:02:01.120 the first step is to audit your time the easiest way to get hours back is to see where you're losing
00:02:07.840 them find out what things you need to stop doing so they can create the space to start doing the
00:02:12.400 the things that make you more money. Most business owners can easily get back eight to nine hours of
00:02:17.540 their week if they stopped to audit their calendar, if they stopped to slow down, to say, what am I
00:02:23.600 doing that I could automate with AI? What about all these meetings that I'm in that I don't need
00:02:27.940 to be in? What if I took a 60 minute meeting, put it to 45 minutes in the 45 to 30 and the 30s of
00:02:32.460 15 to 15 to five and the fives to a text message. Doing that analysis used to take me weeks with AI.
00:02:38.920 I can get it done in 10 minutes.
00:02:40.860 A couple months ago, I had to analyze my calendar.
00:02:43.200 It noticed I was spending a lot of time
00:02:44.860 with this one portfolio manager.
00:02:46.460 It challenged me to go from three meetings a week
00:02:48.780 down to one and just use my time to prep
00:02:51.500 and have them report so I don't have to be on those calls.
00:02:54.200 So then I apply that same process to everything else.
00:02:57.140 If it knows my goals, it knows where I wanna be,
00:02:59.520 it knows where I should be at the end of the quarter,
00:03:01.440 then it can really challenge me
00:03:02.860 in regards to where I'm spending my time
00:03:04.200 to ensure I get those things done.
00:03:05.660 Because it has all the context that I gave it earlier
00:03:07.740 using the connectors and talking they can make those suggestions in a way that nobody else could
00:03:11.980 see so how do you get ai to audit your time first with ai connected to your calendar ask it this
00:03:18.220 audit the last two weeks of my calendar based on my quarterly goals doc in notion you should have
00:03:23.100 it tell me what meetings i shouldn't be in what stuff is below my pay grade and where i'm wasting
00:03:28.220 my time ask me better questions first to get a better context that's a pro tip by the way having
00:03:33.580 it ask you questions to get clarity before it gives you an answer second then run this prompt
00:03:39.740 based on that build me a mock calendar of what i actually should be spending my time on and walk
00:03:44.860 me through your reasoning see i love the reasoning because it's going to teach me how it thought so
00:03:49.180 i can use that same reasoning myself in the future and third lastly say these words now tell me the
00:03:55.820 top three things i need to focus on to make this change happen and be specific who on my team is
00:04:00.940 involved, what's the impact and what's the plan. Now the pro tip is automate the whole audit so it
00:04:06.600 runs every week. It catches the problem before it becomes a problem. See I've set this up in my
00:04:12.000 automation so that it's always analyzing, it's always suggesting. So at the end of the week on
00:04:16.560 Friday at four o'clock I get a notification telling me the opportunities to fix my calendar for the
00:04:20.960 following week. So if you do this whole process you're going to start noticing the meetings you
00:04:24.780 shouldn't be in. You're going to notice where you're spending a lot of time getting information
00:04:27.640 that somebody could just send to you.
00:04:29.440 And you're just gonna find ways to just be more efficient.
00:04:32.120 Now, I wrote a whole book on this philosophy
00:04:34.300 in my book, Buy Back Your Time.
00:04:35.620 If you wanna use AI to help you with that,
00:04:37.960 just tell it to go use my frameworks
00:04:39.760 to analyze your calendar to give you feedback
00:04:41.920 the way I wrote about it.
00:04:43.200 And go get yourself a copy if you're at it.
00:04:45.020 Now, if you're a business owner,
00:04:46.280 running this audit will show you everything that's broken.
00:04:49.160 The team structure, the team rhythms,
00:04:51.260 the things that are quietly costing you a lot of time.
00:04:53.520 That's exactly why I built my Scale Your Business workbook.
00:04:56.500 every stage and every step that builds a business that runs like a machine so that you can finally
00:05:01.480 buy back your time if you want it just find me on instagram and dm me the words youtube scale and
00:05:05.980 i'll send it over so far you've saved about eight to nine hours but we want 20 so how do we actually
00:05:11.020 get there step two transfer the work so we've identified in your day where there is a lot of
00:05:17.280 stuff that's just noise it's not really work okay but there are things that need to happen right the
00:05:21.480 inbox and the pings and the same questions are asked over and over again somebody's gonna have
00:05:24.720 to answer them. And these are things that can be easily handled by somebody else. I read a study
00:05:28.620 by Carleton University that said people spend a third of their time at the office just reading
00:05:33.200 and sending emails. That's 11.7 hours of your time at work wasted on bullshit. And 30% of that time, 0.99
00:05:41.220 those emails aren't even urgent or important. And that's just one example of a task that you
00:05:45.940 should just transfer. So here's how we get that off your plate handled by AI in a way that you
00:05:50.780 don't freak out. First, we have to capture the process. And there's a couple ways you can do
00:05:54.460 that. One, the camcorder method. This is where you share your screen. I like to use Zoom. You
00:05:59.140 just share your screen on Zoom. You record it and you record yourself doing your emails. You talk
00:06:04.480 out loud and you say, now I've got this email from Bob and because he's in this department,
00:06:08.900 I do this. You record yourself doing the thing because what you're doing is you're building the
00:06:13.100 training that the AI can use to start doing that work for you. Another way, and this is what I
00:06:17.600 highly recommend, is use your connectors connected to your email system and tell it to go through
00:06:23.220 all your emails to understand your tone and your style and how you reply and who you reply to
00:06:28.420 and how you do it. You already got the training. Just have the connector go do the heavy lifting
00:06:33.240 to pull the system out. Now you've got the example. You've got the analysis of how you do
00:06:37.660 the email. Now you ask the AI to turn that into a system prompt, which means it's the instructions
00:06:43.140 for how the AI can actually process your inbox so you don't have to do it again.
00:06:47.100 number three you hand it off to the ai i always say token first hire later most people are saying
00:06:54.880 i need to hire somebody it's like or you just spend some token some ai to solve the problem
00:06:59.980 and see how much further you can go without having to add a full-time person to your team
00:07:03.380 if you can talk the task ai can do the task i think most people by default give things to a
00:07:09.500 person i'm challenging you before you do that try get the ai to do it for you now i might just start
00:07:14.840 by sorting and writing drafts for you, that's better than nothing, right? If you just start
00:07:18.840 there, you'll get half of that time. And for whatever reason, if that system doesn't work
00:07:23.000 and you absolutely need a human, then the cool part is, is that AI system prompt becomes the
00:07:27.340 playbook that person follows. This one saves you a bunch of time. If you start looking for these
00:07:32.760 opportunities and using AI to take these big pieces off your plate, you will save at least
00:07:37.860 20 hours a week. Again, email could be 11.7 hours of that meeting notes, writing first drafts of
00:07:44.280 things, following up with people, checking things over and over and over again, building yourself a
00:07:49.520 dashboard so you don't have to freak out at night that you're missing something. AI can do this for
00:07:53.600 you, which then should leave you with the question of, hey, Dan, if I do this, what am I supposed to
00:07:58.060 do with all this time? Step three, fill your time. AI just gave you your time back. Awesome. But most
00:08:04.500 people waste it by going to the beach or sitting around and watching Netflix or picking up their
00:08:09.140 phone and gabbing with their buddy. No, you want to pour that time back into the business to grow
00:08:15.360 it. This is not the four hour work week. This is not what I signed up for. The subtitle of my book
00:08:19.660 says and build your empire. If you're here, you're an empire builder. This is how we fill our time
00:08:24.920 to do the things that actually move our business forward, not just busy work that feels productive
00:08:29.500 that does nothing. First, we want to look at all the tasks we have left on our calendar and ask
00:08:34.040 ourselves does the task make me money and does it light me up does it make me feel good and i'm
00:08:40.000 excited to do it or do i can hate doing it is it an energy draining task see your job in life is
00:08:46.780 to continuously find tasks that have both things that make you a lot of money that you enjoy doing
00:08:52.040 imagine if you woke up every day and it was like all green energy creating opportunities that made
00:08:57.880 you a lot of money how quick would you run to the office for me that's learning about ai learning
00:09:04.000 about business, talking to mentors, recruiting people, all of these things I really enjoy,
00:09:08.200 creating content. I love it. Why? Massive leverage. I could sit in a room and talk with 18 people on
00:09:13.180 my team. And the unfortunate part is it would just end with those 18 people. I come on here,
00:09:17.600 I shoot a video, it gets a million views. I know that I've supported a lot of people.
00:09:21.920 That lights me up and it creates opportunity for the portfolio I have, for the people on my team.
00:09:27.620 And I think that's pretty cool. So the whole point is we got to take those activities and block them
00:09:32.720 into our calendar because if we don't trust me if nothing's in the calendar and our time is not
00:09:37.760 committed other people will come in and take our time so those things go in first not second now
00:09:43.440 here's a pro tip use the time you bought back to learn how to use ai teach you how to get more time
00:09:49.780 back i mean there's levels to this game if you haven't gone deep on agents big opportunity there
00:09:55.280 so use the time you bought back with ai to go learn about ai so you can buy more time back
00:10:01.260 Just yesterday, one of my coaching clients mentioned
00:10:03.500 that he spent the last few months really learning AI
00:10:06.340 and deploying it and activating in his business.
00:10:09.060 And now he has a multimillion dollar company
00:10:11.080 that he spends less than 10 hours a week on.
00:10:13.420 Now he's thinking about what's next.
00:10:14.980 He's looking at opportunities to do things
00:10:16.580 that really light him up.
00:10:17.680 And he didn't even know anything about AI
00:10:19.540 before he started.
00:10:20.580 And you can do this too.
00:10:22.020 So now AI knows your world.
00:10:24.000 It has context.
00:10:24.880 It's audited your time.
00:10:26.160 It's transferred the busy work to other people.
00:10:28.180 it's bought back time at least 20 hours of your week and you're pouring those hours back into
00:10:33.480 actually the things that matter that light you up that makes you money but here's the one thing
00:10:37.780 ai is not going to replace you it's just going to free up your time so that you can focus on the
00:10:41.960 most important things don't sit there and suffer and build a life you hate use ai to build a life
00:10:47.920 you want so drop a comment below and just let me know what are you going to commit to how are you
00:10:53.420 going to use ai to get even an hour back or two or 11.7 below in the comments let me know what would
00:11:00.660 you do i need to know and remember if you want my scale your business workbook every stage and
