00:00:07.120 This devastating terrorist attack, planned and executed on Canadian soil, claimed 331 innocent lives.

00:00:13.380 It was a direct assault on our nation, enabled by weak leadership and our willingness to import foreign conflicts.

00:00:18.680 On June 23, 1985, two bombs in Czech baggages left Vancouver International Airport.

00:00:25.860 The first bomb exploded aboard Air India Flight 182 off the coast of Ireland.

00:00:30.000 killing all 329 people on board. The second detonated at Tokyo's Narita Airport,

00:00:34.720 killing two baggage handlers. At the time, it was the deadliest terrorist attack launched

00:00:38.740 from North America. Canadian intelligence agencies failed to take the threat seriously

00:00:42.080 both before and after the tragedy. This led to the acquittals of ringleaders Ajaib Singh Bagri

00:00:46.920 and Rupudamon Singh Malik due to the lack of evidence. CSIS erased 156 out of 210 wiretap
