In 2024, over 1.9 million work permits were handed out through the International Mobility Program (IMP), compared to just 236,000 under the TFW program. That means the vast majority of so-called temporary workers are coming through this back door, and almost nobody is talking about it.

00:00:00.000 What if I told you the Temporary Foreign Worker Program is only the tip of the iceberg?
00:00:04.060 I'm happy to see Pierre Polyev and the Conservative Party finally talking about the Temporary Foreign Worker Program,
00:00:08.740 but I am concerned about their silence on the International Mobility Program.
00:00:12.460 Here's the truth.
00:00:13.160 The International Mobility Program, or IMP, is even bigger.
00:00:17.020 In 2024, over 1.9 million work permits were handed out through the IMP,
00:00:21.620 compared to just 236,000 under the TFW program.
00:00:25.020 That means the vast majority of so-called temporary workers are coming through this back door,
00:00:29.740 and almost nobody is talking about it what makes the imp so dangerous is that it doesn't require
00:00:34.540 an lmia a labor market impact assessment that means employers don't have to prove canadians
00:00:39.740 aren't available to do the job big business can just bring in foreign workers with no questions 1.00
00:00:44.060 asked displacing canadians driving down wages and flooding the labor market the imp was sold
00:00:49.100 as a way to handle things like trade agreements or youth exchanges but just like every other
00:00:53.340 immigration policy it has exploded into a massive loophole quietly importing hundreds of thousands
00:00:58.940 or even millions of cheap laborers into our country. 0.95
00:01:02.100 This is not just a small-scale program.
00:01:03.840 It's the main engine of temporary foreign labor in Canada.
00:01:07.280 If the CPC is serious about protecting Canadian jobs,
00:01:10.220 they can't just abolish the temporary foreign worker program.
00:01:13.060 We have to shut down the international mobility program too.
00:01:16.180 Canadians must come first in our own country. 0.96
00:01:18.840 I have a simple call to action.
00:01:20.880 End the imp.
