00:00:30.000 Thank you.
00:01:00.000 Thank you.
00:01:30.000 We'll be right back.
00:02:00.000 Thank you.
00:02:30.000 Hello and welcome to Long Live Canada. My name is Daniel Tyree. I'm the founder and chairman
00:02:37.080 of the Dominion Society, but tonight I am your host. We have another great episode ahead of us
00:02:42.160 tonight. We have some important topics to discuss, some important topics. Can you guys give me a good
00:02:47.760 quality check, a good audio check? I'm forever paranoid because we've had some issues in the
00:02:53.820 past, as you know. Give me the thumbs up in the chat. We have some fun things to talk about
00:02:57.960 tonight i'm going to give you guys an update on the ongoing drama in aurelia apparently i've become
00:03:04.120 the most controversial figure aurelia has ever seen since at least since samuel de champlain
00:03:10.080 well i also want to talk a bit about great big canadian families and ontario politics
00:03:18.140 and as well we're going to talk about uh doug ford's valiant stand against the illegal migrants
00:03:25.640 uh when we like to see the dougler taking a bit of a stronger stand on immigration so i want to
00:03:32.720 talk a bit about that lots of complaints as usual i'm late get used to it guys come on it's all i'm
00:03:38.500 about i'm all about being fashionably late it's in my it's my tendency it's in my nature get used
00:03:43.260 to it get used to i'm a busy guy guys i'm a busy guy i had to push it back tonight because i'm doing
00:03:48.620 so much stuff we're in the middle of something very important behind the scenes not only do we
00:03:52.900 have this this uh this mysterious day of action in aurelia coming on we're uh i'm working on a
00:03:59.060 massive transformation of our back-end systems at the media society to make us more efficient
00:04:02.740 at onboarding volunteers managing volunteers integrating all sorts of automations and stuff
00:04:08.160 i have to do all sorts of uh the the the nerdy uh boring work behind the scenes you guys you guys
00:04:14.440 have no idea it's not all about live streams and uh and glamour shots it's uh there's a lot of
00:04:19.920 hard work that goes into what we do um so be patient with me be patient with me i'm still here
00:04:27.600 i'm still here i i i i will tell you i won't be here next week i'm back on the road um for a few
00:04:34.880 days next week i won't be able to stream but we'll be back the week after but before we get into some
00:04:39.920 of our main topics i think i would be remiss to not discuss i guess what's the biggest news this
00:04:47.520 this week. How's the weather where you guys are? Can you guys breathe? Is the sky apocalyptic
00:04:56.080 orange? Do you feel like you're in an episode of Breaking Bad? Do you feel like you're
00:04:59.480 living Fallout New Vegas? How's it going where you guys are? It's not too bad where I am here
00:05:08.160 in Ottawa. We had a bit of it earlier this week, a Monday or Tuesday, a bit of a haze. It kind of
00:05:14.320 look like the sun was setting all day pink orange light but uh for the most part haven't had any
00:05:21.620 uh breathing related issues the air quality here is fine uh it looks like a lot of the other kind
00:05:27.920 a lot of other parts of the country are dealing with some some uh some ominous some ominous
00:05:34.800 conditions so how are you guys doing this guy idfk when she says he can't breathe so uh apparently
00:05:43.580 uh someone sent me a screenshot today apparently the air quality index had broke the scale it was
00:05:49.260 an 11 out of 10 literally so coming in bear can't breathe either it's not too bad here in ottawa it's
00:05:56.380 not too bad here in ottawa but this has launched all the discourse you have the lefties going on
00:06:01.100 about climate change you have the americans camp complaining that we're we're polluting their
00:06:07.340 country or or whatnot you have people laughing canada is emitting more carbon than blah blah blah
00:06:13.900 um so i'm gonna i made a post you guys might have seen it on twitter today
00:06:18.700 it was my biggest post of the day it was my biggest post of the day but tweeted it tweeted
00:06:25.020 this has nothing to do with climate change by the way it's caused entirely by poor forestry
00:06:28.860 management a failure to maintain firefighting infrastructure 0.99
00:06:31.660 while sending billions in foreign aid to the third world and inevitably deranged arsonist
00:06:37.340 activists and that's the story that's the story we see this every year now it's like it's become
00:06:42.700 an annual occasion it's become an annual occasion here in canada spikes in forest fires uh bleeding
00:06:50.980 right out into into the big cities and then we find after you have to get the whole news cycle
00:06:56.660 climate change this is just going to get worse and worse and worse all this stuff you we inevitably
00:07:01.820 in late August, early September, the news breaks. Oh, another person arrested because he's actually
00:07:08.220 the one that set the forest fires. You get a bunch of activists. These are these people
00:07:12.840 indoctrinated by climate change alarmism, who it turns out it wasn't climate change.
00:07:18.740 It was more deranged activists. So we've seen this over and over and over again. It's become
00:07:24.420 it's become a pattern. Everyone can see if you're paying attention, if you have above room to
00:07:29.280 temperature IQ and you're, you're, you have, uh, some good, uh, pattern awareness. You can see that
00:07:34.920 every single year we see these forest fires every single year, they go on about climate change
00:07:39.940 every single year. It turns out to be arsonists and activists. So I'm going to wait patiently.
00:07:45.040 I'm calling it now. We'll see a bunch of people arrested and they'll probably get off with slaps
00:07:49.080 the wrist. And then we're going to see more of it next year, but that's exactly what we can expect,
00:07:53.340 right guys? Activists. It's not about climate change and people who know me, people who have
00:07:59.260 done their research people who followed me for a long time will know that i actually started as an 0.85
00:08:05.660 activist a political activist back in university and i was a bit of a libtard still i i i was i
00:08:12.940 started as an activist as a climate change activist i was very swept up in the climate alarmist
00:08:18.300 movement i was very anti-climate change i i've since learned a lot about the science and i i've
00:08:25.180 always been an environmentalist like since i was a since i was young i think it's very uh canadian
00:08:30.700 in general to have a strong relationship with the environment right right from a like my ideal
00:08:36.620 vacation is not traveling to the us or to europe or or anything like that or sitting on uh going to
00:08:43.180 hawaii sitting on a beach or something like that my ideal vacation was a couple weeks in the woods
00:08:47.900 going up to a cabin going up to a cottage growing up my my family had a had a family cottage
00:08:54.060 just outside of Ottawa, actually, on an island. Unfortunately, after my grandfather died,
00:09:01.980 they had to sell the condom. No one was going to step up to maintain it. So that's something I miss
00:09:06.440 very dearly. But that's my ideal vacation. You get out into the woods, you disconnect from the
00:09:10.620 internet a bit, you do some canoeing, you do some fishing, you do some swimming, you disconnect,
00:09:17.360 spend some time with the trees, with the water. Very peaceful, very grounding. I think
00:09:23.980 it's a very Canadian thing to have that connection to the wilderness. So I think a lot of us are just
00:09:28.100 kind of inherently geared towards environmentalism. And as such, it was easy to get sucked into the
00:09:34.740 climate change movement. We're all environmentalists. This is what preserving our environmentalist
00:09:39.220 environment is all about. Al Gore, Inconvenient Truth, all this stuff that was pushed through
00:09:44.520 public education, through my university years. But looking back on it, you know, there's significant
00:09:50.620 connections from between carbon emissions and global warming obviously climate the climate
00:09:55.020 has changed and the climate has always changed but the more you look into it the the more nebulous you
00:10:00.540 see these connections between climate uh uh carbon emissions and rising temperatures and all of us
00:10:06.860 and all the while the the big climate change the big environmentalist movement has become
00:10:11.340 so narrowly focused on the invisible death god that is rising carbon emissions and then don't
00:10:18.780 focus on things like real pollution like like our eroding farmlands uh glyphosate on all of our crops
00:10:26.620 uh the um uh you know the tearing down of our our our green lands to put up more and more high 1.00
00:10:34.380 rises to house immigrants this is this is real environmentalism this is what i want to i'd be 1.00
00:10:39.660 more interested in talking about not just this focus on on carbon emissions and this this kind 0.83
00:10:44.220 of doom cult where it's like we're gonna have we're gonna get punished uh by the gods uh if we
00:10:50.060 if we drive our cars or heat our homes um so it's always very frustrating to see this stuff uh go
00:10:57.340 back into the news you know me i try and i try and stay in my lane i try and only focus on the most
00:11:01.820 important issue of the day demographic change immigration but i see everyone going on about
00:11:06.300 climate change last few days i had to i had to make a post i didn't expect to blow up the way
00:11:10.380 way that it did. But the reality is, we're getting much worse at forestry management, where there's
00:11:16.500 not enough resources put into this. It's a combination of this ideological focus on climate
00:11:22.060 change rather than actual tangible ways to protect the environment. It's a combination of austerity
00:11:27.340 from governments who just want to cut, cut, cut. It's the loss of institutional knowledge that goes
00:11:34.320 into managing forest controlled burns all these things this has all gotten worse and it's left us
00:11:40.660 more vulnerable to um to forest fires but also worse at dealing with them uh when it happens
00:11:46.880 i've been i've been enjoying uh my friend harrison faulkner's coverage of this over
00:11:53.340 the uh the last 24 hours or so in particular oh no what happened
00:12:00.600 oh there it is here it is so he posts 2026 wildfires but the most important thing
00:12:11.540 is this graph here so according to the federal government data the peak year for wildfires was
00:12:18.180 in 1989 with over 12k fires burning 7.5 million hectares of land the peak year for area burned
00:12:26.040 was 2023 with over 6.8 k forest fires burning at a staggering 17.6 million hectares so you can see
00:12:36.360 this uh this relationship is kind of uh backwards of what you would expect the the the the amount
00:12:43.060 of land burned is trending upwards while the amount of forest fires is trending downwards
00:12:48.420 and this is very much showing that it's not this climate change relationship that's causing more
00:12:53.380 fire forest fires that we're dealing with the real thing is we're not dealing with the forest fires
00:12:58.900 as they come we're not putting them out we're not managing them properly and it's causing all this
00:13:03.380 destruction and chaos that is now bleeding into the streets i can't i can't remember growing up
00:13:08.340 having to deal with these air quality conditions and the in you know seeing the the impacts in the
00:13:13.940 in the big city i can't remember that ever growing up it's only been but it's now it's a yearly
00:13:18.340 occurrence but it's not climate change it's all these other governmental problems so it's been
00:13:23.460 entertaining to watch harrison's really fighting with people because there's been a lot of uh
00:13:28.420 coverage from the americans and he's pushing back on it and i think this has exposed something in the
00:13:33.540 uh conservative movement a problem in the conservative movement let me see where
00:13:39.220 which post was it here it is so you have my my good friend dimpy brar goes out and attacks
00:13:49.020 harrison i'm increasingly concerned that the anti-americanism of the left has found a new
00:13:53.820 home on canada's right forest fires blame trump it's a parody harrison faulkner let me know when
00:13:59.840 you need a trump translator harrison was not blaming trump for for anything about the forest
00:14:05.900 fires uh so it but i think this exposes a it's a good uh microcosm of a real problem in the
00:14:13.260 conservative movement any any pushback on the on the on uh america on u.s influence on you've had
00:14:22.480 people uh american politicians coming out and saying that like that we don't deserve sovereignty
00:14:30.080 if we can't manage our forest fires.
00:14:36.480 Here's another one from Harrison.
00:14:38.400 Trump endorsed Michigan congressman running for governor,
00:14:42.320 John James, issues a final warning to Canada
00:14:44.660 to stop the wildfires.
00:14:46.080 James to Canada, sovereignty comes with responsibility.
00:14:50.600 Any patriotic Canadian right, left
00:14:53.240 should be disavowing this.
00:14:54.960 They're saying we don't deserve sovereignty
00:14:57.540 because of what's going on uh in these uh during these forest fires absolutely we should have
00:15:03.420 current conservatives pushing back on this uh on this commentary from from our from american
00:15:09.080 from our american neighbors from these people down south yet you get all these people in the
00:15:15.540 conservative movement or the conservative party saying oh anyone that pushes back against america
00:15:21.120 as just an elbows up liberal. I want to, I would simply put, if the right, if the conservative
00:15:31.500 party, if the conservative movement is going to seed anti-Americanism as a concept to the left,
00:15:37.820 that is a recipe to lose elections forever. As we've said multiple times, anti-Americanism is
00:15:45.060 a core part of Canadian identity. Canada would not exist if it weren't for, Canada only exists
00:15:50.960 because we're an alternative to the Americans, right? We decided not to be Americans and to have
00:15:56.620 a separate country on the northern half of the continent. And that exists right in our blood
00:16:01.200 memory. We saw it so starkly during the last election where the liberals were able to
00:16:04.700 jump on this anti-Americanist sentiment much more effectively than the United States. And we're able
00:16:09.700 to flip, snatch victory from the jaws of defeat solely on American relations. And if the conservatives
00:16:19.720 aren't going to learn that lesson if they're just going to continue to cede anti-americanism if
00:16:23.740 they're going to be the american party to the liberals anti-american party it doesn't even
00:16:26.920 matter the rest of the policies the liberals will continue to win so the conservatives need to wake
00:16:31.300 up this is a big opportunity for pierre polyev to pivot his messaging a huge opportunity to push
00:16:36.940 back on people like john james and other american politicians who have been speaking out attacking
00:16:42.320 canada over what's going on in our country but we get silence from pierre polyev
00:16:46.660 it's virtue signaling at the end of the day but he's seen as too Americanist by the public that's
00:16:52.880 why he lost the election this was a great opportunity for him to defend defend Canada
00:16:57.480 to stand up for our country for our people for our sovereignty and instead it's crickets it's
00:17:03.240 so more and more dismaying things coming out of the Americans so a little side topic I didn't 0.91
00:17:12.080 have that on the schedule but i thought it's important to talk about it's important to talk
00:17:18.100 about it's it's literally what so many canadians are breathing into their lungs today so i thought
00:17:22.080 i'd be remiss to to not speak about it a bit is the conservative party tied to the republican
00:17:29.320 party not really but the conservative party has just become kind of the americanist party they
00:17:34.300 stand for very similar things of the republican party they stand for liberalism for integration
00:17:39.740 with the united states so many things which historically they didn't historically liberals
00:17:44.680 were the continentalist integrationist party there was a flip during the kind of the 70s the 80s
00:17:51.700 where the americans kind of became the more liberal the more americanist option and it's
00:17:57.720 really it's something they've suffered from this entire time yeah
00:18:03.220 on that note i do want to flip over to you know the main topic the main topic yes yes read
00:18:16.720 grant's books fellas listen to big ponkley do the readings reach out info at dominion society.cl
00:18:25.640 give you the reading list as big ponkley's suggesting it's on there george grant's lament
00:18:31.380 for a nation it's very important to understand that era of history and uh the the the the impacts
00:18:38.100 that uh america has had on our sovereignty um economically culturally and so on george grant
00:18:44.740 campuses excellently through the shorter book so definitely read lament reach out to info at
00:18:51.940 dominion society to get the full reading list do the readings i love a loyalist who does his
00:18:59.460 readings it's so important that we understand the game that we understand our history that's how we
00:19:04.700 win we need to be smarter we need to be more well read than our opposition that's how we beat them
00:19:11.400 so do your readings folks do your readings reach out get the get the book list Tristan Jones has a
00:19:19.540 has a keen eye there is a new pin there is a new pin I have a little teaser for you this evening
00:19:24.680 it will be released next next week a new pin especially for our two-year members
00:19:31.080 only for the people that signed up in year one they're on renewal they'll be getting this new
00:19:35.880 special pin yeah also read sir johnny's biography i've been working through it i've been working
00:19:42.520 through it i have um the young politician there by donald creighton i haven't finished it yet it's
00:19:48.760 a long book and i don't have enough i don't have enough time to read nowadays you guys keep me too
00:19:52.440 busy with the Dominion Society. So now the big topic, the big topic, the ongoing drama
00:20:01.680 out of Aurelia. I can't believe it, guys. I can't believe it. I have not even launched
00:20:08.960 I have not even launched our Save Champlain campaign, our Save Champlain campaign. Say
00:20:14.900 that five times fast. And we've become the epicenter of so much drama in the local Aureliot
00:20:22.440 news. So maybe you are the villain. I'm not the villain. I'm not the villain. I'm trying to save
00:20:28.780 everything, Tristan. But if they need me to be, if they need me to be the villain, I'll be the
00:20:35.260 villain. I'll be the villain. We're going to have fun with it. That's for sure. So I alluded last
00:20:41.680 week to an article that was coming out there's been two articles that have come out on us from
00:20:48.160 a really matters since the um since uh since we last spoke about this drama so they did i don't
00:20:56.560 know if i told you this i reached out to them to submit an op-ed to respond to all the other op-eds
00:21:01.760 that they were publishing on a letter to the editor in their case and they refused to publish my letter
00:21:07.040 to the editor i thought that was unprofessional but instead they conducted an interview with me
00:21:11.680 and wrote and wrote uh an interesting article here we can here we can look at it here we go
00:21:18.000 canadian nationalist group plans city-wide canvas over champlain group aims to knock on every door
00:21:25.280 build a single issue campaign ahead of the municipal election founder denies involvement
00:21:30.080 in monument untarping this is a big long article i suggest you guys read it it's actually pretty
00:21:36.620 good pretty fair i will say pretty fair i will say but we'll go through it we'll go through it
00:21:40.920 because it's i gotta keep you guys up to date i gotta keep you guys up to date with the drama
00:21:45.340 so a controversial nationalist organization that advocates for remigration set his plans to knock
00:21:51.060 on every single door in aurelia as part of a campaign to return the samuel sean plain monument
00:21:55.320 and make the issue a focal point in the falls municipal election daniel tyree founder and
00:22:00.260 chairman of the dominion society that's me told aurelia matters the organization is preparing
00:22:04.180 for a massive day of action in a really as part of a longer term strategy to pressure city council
00:22:08.720 to return the monument we will still we are still mobilizing our troops what we expect
00:22:13.120 there will be a significant contingent coming down to aurelia to get the job done tyree said
00:22:16.680 we're looking to hit every house in a single day across aurelia it means society has drawn
00:22:23.180 national attention for its political positions and activities the canadian anti-hit network has
00:22:28.260 described it as part of canada's white nationalist movement blah blah a characterization that tyree
00:22:33.060 denied during a recent interview with aurelia matters tyree said that the organization advocates
00:22:37.020 for remigration, which he describes as policies intended to reverse the immigration flows to
00:22:41.240 preserve Canada, what he called Canada's cultural continuity. Tyree frames the campaign as a fight
00:22:46.880 against what he calls the erasure of Canadian history. However, local Indigenous advocate
00:22:51.660 Crystal Brooks, Crystal Brooks, who we talked about extensively last week, said the campaign
00:22:55.960 ignores the issues that have driven opposition to the movement. What does Crystal Brooks know?
00:23:03.260 we haven't even launched our campaign and she's saying that our campaign uh excludes uh history or 0.96
00:23:09.540 uh their their perspective as well i learned through this article that crystal brooks is not
00:23:14.640 only an activist locally that's been attacking us she's the one that vandalized the the statue
00:23:20.400 before it was taken down again she's the one that spray painted rama says no on the monument so i
00:23:25.080 find it very very ironic that these people are interviewing her taking her seriously when she's
00:23:30.560 literally a vandal. Meanwhile, they're giving me a hard time for organizing a door knocking
00:23:36.740 campaign, a leafleting campaign, a petition. Is that a fair comparison? We literally have
00:23:43.720 people on the left vandalizing to get get their way. Whereas like they're trying to frame me as
00:23:48.980 some crazy radical villain for going door to door, mobilizing volunteers, collecting petition
00:23:55.100 signatures it's it's it's quite wild it's quite wild the double standards so she says the issue
00:24:02.140 is not the monument itself the issue is consent the issue is due process the issue is accurate
00:24:06.780 historic history telling and that's what exactly what i stand for accurate history telling
00:24:13.020 tyree would not reveal the can uh when the canvassing is expected to begin because we have
00:24:17.660 opsec we don't want to put anyone's uh in danger we don't want to be protested we don't want to
00:24:23.260 to deal with activists trying to derail our operations so yes it's a secret it's a secret
00:24:28.380 but he says the group plans to collect signatures for a petition that will ultimately be presented
00:24:33.700 to city council efforts should could extend well beyond a single day of door knocking we have
00:24:38.580 municipal elections coming this october 26th and this has become a massive issue in arelia across
00:24:43.620 the country he said i think it could be a central issue in the municipal elections later this year
00:24:49.460 tyree said the dominion society will look to build a single issue campaign over the coming
00:24:53.920 months to push for action from the council if council does not act or moves towards permanently
00:24:58.620 removing the monument he says that the organization intends to make that an election issue we'll be
00:25:03.520 there to make sure that the politicians who are defying the will of the people are right rightly
00:25:06.880 punished at the ballot box he said i think that having the upcoming elections in mind is very
00:25:12.420 important when you're dealing with democratically elected politicians the comments come after
00:25:16.380 members of the Dominion Society recently traveled to Aurelia to film a video around the empty
00:25:20.220 monument pedestal in Coocheting Beach Park calling for the statue's return. The organization has also
00:25:25.560 faced questions about their earlier incident in which the tarp covering the monument was removed
00:25:30.020 under the cover of darkness. Tyree flatly denied the Dominion Society had any involvement. We had
00:25:34.740 no involvement in that operation, he said. Tyree said neither he nor the organization has been
00:25:38.740 contacted by the police in connection with the incident when asked about previous Aurelia
00:25:43.020 matters reporting that linked the dominion society to the tarp removal at the uh after
00:25:47.680 dominion society signage was found at the site tyree said the organization distributes posters
00:25:51.480 widely across the country anyone that orders merchandise from our store gets a free poster
00:25:55.340 he said i don't think that the presence of the poster means anything
00:25:58.140 tyree acknowledged the reposting of the video showing the monument being uncovered but said
00:26:03.900 he did not know who created it or who appeared in it i'm happy to see that there are people pushing
00:26:07.940 back and want to see the statue protected whether or not i agree with everyone's tactics
00:26:11.800 when asked whether anyone in the video was a dominion society members tyree said no not to
00:26:16.520 my knowledge our organization is committed to peaceful lawful civic engagement and provided a
00:26:21.560 providing a pathway for like-minded canadians to engage with political process he says
00:26:25.640 we don't get involved in vandalism or anything like that when asked whether we he knew who
00:26:31.200 created the video or posted on from an x account that is now suspended showing the monument being
00:26:35.520 uncovered tyree said he did not tyree rejected the characterization oh he said the champlain
00:26:43.980 monument controversy came to his attention through national and local news coverage i myself and a
00:26:49.640 big follower of canadian history i'm a big fan of samuel to champlain this is a big part of our
00:26:53.420 organization's mandate to promote and defend canadian heritage that's the thing they keep
00:26:57.640 trying to make it about all about remigration as if we stand for nothing else and the we have a
00:27:02.740 broad mandate as an organization. We stand not only for re-migration, which we actually do.
00:27:08.300 It's crucial to protect the identity of our nation, but more than that, to protect the 0.63
00:27:13.860 identity of our nation, we must stand for our history, our heritage, our monuments.
00:27:17.980 This whole trend of tearing down statues and renaming streets and trying to reinvent Canadian
00:27:23.980 history to appease certain activists or certain political leanings is just not acceptable anymore.
00:27:31.640 And it's not just us, right? It's a huge swath of the Canadian public that is just absolutely tired of this. I remind you all, 70% of Aurelians want to see the statue restored. What we're representing here is not a fringe argument. And I'm not asking you to agree with re-migration. I'm not asking you to agree with everything I've ever said or everything that the organization stands for.
00:27:53.660 but in case you didn't notice no one else is coming to Aurelia to get people organized to
00:27:59.360 defend this statue this is where we come into the to the picture we have lots of members there in
00:28:04.780 Aurelia we want to help them to protect this monument so we bring our resources we bring
00:28:13.380 our expertise we're able to make content we're able to make petitions we're able to run a
00:28:18.160 professional campaign in order to put pressure on these municipal politicians and of course they
00:28:22.320 don't like it of course they don't like it they don't want people threatening their jobs
00:28:25.320 but this is democracy and we need to play the game that's the thing the nationalist movement
00:28:33.020 the right has not been playing the game of politics people just show up and vote every
00:28:37.160 few years but that's not what politics is it's we have to play the long game right and that's
00:28:43.100 what we're playing here right people people signing our petition will also be giving us
00:28:48.700 their contact information and we'll be able to follow up with them to see if they want to volunteer
00:28:51.860 to again not for the Dominion Society but to protect this monument if they want to to help
00:28:58.500 donate to do more for this campaign if they want to stay apprised to updates we can build an
00:29:04.660 organization in Aurelia who could get behind a new mayoral candidate or a new city council candidate
00:29:11.700 in order to to get influence directly on the uh in the city council in order to to protect this
00:29:20.040 monument. So yes, we can absolutely make this a flashpoint of the election. This will be a great
00:29:24.080 chance to test our systems and test our strategy and to influence the politics in this small city.
00:29:32.100 So this is exactly the sentiment, right? We're playing the game. We're getting involved in
00:29:37.900 democracy. Terry rejected the characterization that the Dominion Society is a white nationalist
00:29:46.960 organization i described as a canadian nationalist organization he said i think canadian identity is
00:29:51.680 more complex than simply being reduced to white or non-white tyree acknowledged that dominion society
00:29:57.120 advocates for re-migration which he describes as reverse migration it's a bundle of policies
00:30:01.200 in order to create cultural economic political incentives to reverse the flows of migration in
00:30:05.280 order to preserve canada's cultural continuity he said tyree said the organization's policy
00:30:10.960 focus on people in canada legally criminals temporary foreign workers and other temporary
00:30:15.280 migrants while also proposing changes to the citizenship and permanent residency rules in
00:30:19.820 cases involving fraud abuse of our immigration laws national security and what he describes as
00:30:25.120 social cohesion when asked whether canadian citizens could be affected tyree said the
00:30:29.720 organization supports expanding existing citizen revocation laws beyond fraud to include additional
00:30:35.200 circumstances tyree said that the dominion society has more than 3 000 members across the country
00:30:39.480 including a handful in the orillia area while the monument is located in orillia he rejects the idea
00:30:44.280 that this is that its future is solely a local matter samuel de champlain is not just a piece
00:30:49.480 of aurelius history although he is he is a part of canada's history tyree said he's a central
00:30:54.240 character in the founding of the country and a very important person thematically to the
00:30:57.560 representation of our country tyree said the campaign is part of a broader effort by the
00:31:01.800 dominion society to defend monuments and what it considers canadian heritage he pointed to the
00:31:06.880 group's involvement in the campaign surrounding sir john a mcdonald statue in hamilton and
00:31:11.880 appearances by members before city council regarding monument in and around queen's park
00:31:17.260 shout out to matt baker all of these situations i think represent a broader cultural shift in
00:31:22.420 canada that has happened over the last five ten years to this rewriting of array uh an erasure
00:31:28.380 of canadian history that people are getting growingly tired of he said tyree characterized
00:31:33.860 that shift as a cultural Marxist approach and almost a communist approach to erasing our history
00:31:38.960 no one thinks that canadian history is perfect that every chapter of canadian history is above
00:31:44.040 question but we cannot progress as a nation by erasing our past he said we have to remember and
00:31:49.360 respect and learn from it not erase it much of the local controversy however has not centered
00:31:53.920 solely on champlain but on the monument's depiction and positioning of indigenous people
00:31:59.020 tyree said he personally studied the monument and does not believe its configuration necessarily
00:32:04.280 depicts Indigenous people as inferior. I don't think it necessarily represents a hierarchy of
00:32:09.980 putting certain people above others other than elevating Champlain above everyone which I think
00:32:14.280 is justified. Champlain was an incredible figure and a great leader without whom Canada very well
00:32:19.780 may not exist so I think putting him above all the other Europeans depicted there as well as the
00:32:24.760 Indigenous is quite reasonable. Tyree also defended the monument's depiction of Christian missionaries
00:32:30.720 indigenous conversion the christian settlers they're converting first nations people to
00:32:35.040 christianity good or bad this did happen and i don't think there's a problem with having a
00:32:39.440 depiction of our history there he said that people can disagree whether conversion was good or bad
00:32:44.640 but argue it remains a part of canada's history it's not about being objectively good or objectively
00:32:50.320 bad it's about our history tyree said he would support changes to the plaque or interpretive
00:32:55.360 materials surrounding the monument but not significant changes to the monument itself
00:32:58.640 i think it should be put back up in his original condition as original a condition as possible he
00:33:03.040 said i'd be happy to see adjustments to the plaque to explain the historical uh the different
00:33:07.920 histories and different perspectives but i think the monument itself should be restored in its
00:33:11.760 original fashion or as close as possible with the expertise available brooks who's a vandal who's a
00:33:17.280 vandal who has been an outspoken throughout the champlain monument debate was arrested on a
00:33:22.640 mischief charge after she spray painted the statue in may says tyree's comments overlook
00:33:27.200 what many indigenous people have consistently said throughout the debate he really lacks a
00:33:31.520 deeper understanding of what the actual issues are she said she doesn't know my views at all
00:33:37.280 the issue is not the monument itself the issue is consent the issue is due process the issue is not
00:33:42.240 is accurate storytelling but if we're talking about accurate storytelling i question why we should
00:33:49.840 why we need consent from the rama to maintain a statue that has been there for 101 years depicting
00:33:56.560 a man who got to the area before the Rama got there. To say that the Rama, although they have 0.55
00:34:02.300 been there for a hundred years, hundreds of years, so have the European settlers, so have heritage
00:34:07.960 Canadians. Our roots go back to 1615 when Champlain arrived perhaps a hundred years before the Rama
00:34:14.260 did. So why do they, why do we need to ask their permission to keep up a monument to him? I don't 0.92
00:34:19.740 see why. Please tell me the accurate storytelling, Crystal, that I'm misunderstanding here, that
00:34:26.500 suggests why this statue should be taken down or why you get a veto over it or why
00:34:32.660 we need consent from them to keep a statue up. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. So she says, 0.96
00:34:39.160 I don't understand. No, I understand the history perfectly well, Crystal. It's you, the one that
00:34:44.460 are trying to revise history to make Champlain out to be some sort of evil villain. When he
00:34:50.280 collaborated, when he formed mutually beneficial partnerships with the indigenous tribes that were
00:34:56.220 there at the time. The Huron, Wendat, and many other tribes throughout what is now Southern
00:35:01.280 Ontario and Southern Quebec. So please do enlighten me, Crystal, on what I'm misunderstanding.
00:35:09.240 Brooks says she believes that the issue has always been about consent process and accurately
00:35:13.080 representing Indigenous history rather than simply whether the monument should stand. This
00:35:16.880 issue is so much bigger than the monument, she said. It's about racism. It's about white supremacy.
00:35:20.780 It's about due process and free prior informed consent. It's about the erasure of Indigenous
00:35:25.360 as people she's just so filled with buzzwords no substance she's not actually engaging with
00:35:30.740 anything i'm i'm saying or anything i will say once we actually start the campaign
00:35:35.140 tyree questioned the role of the chippewas of rama first nation in the controversy arguing
00:35:41.520 that the huron wendat were in the area during the champlain 1615 visit it's strange to me that
00:35:46.840 the chippewa of rama should have some sort of veto acclaimed territorial authority when champlain
00:35:50.980 was actually their first creating productive mutually beneficial relationships with the
00:35:55.240 Huron-Wendat tribe in order to facilitate permanent settlement of the French in Canada he said
00:35:59.820 for them to insert themselves now due to people that are depicted in the monument that are
00:36:05.820 technically of a different tribe seems to be a poor unreasonable interpretation of the monument
00:36:10.280 and of Canadian history. Tyree added that the Rama should be respected and acknowledged for
00:36:15.280 its important legacy in the region but we don't rise up other narratives of history by tearing
00:36:20.200 down ones that also exist because people might disagree with the aesthetics. Brooks rejected
00:36:25.720 Tyree's comments about the Rama's role in the discussion. This is our traditional territory,
00:36:30.100 she said. We have a right to know about things that are happening in our traditional lands. We
00:36:34.380 have a right to have a say in that. These are our traditional lands too, right? European settlers
00:36:41.740 have been here since the 1600s when Champlain arrived. These are our territories as well. We
00:36:48.340 can have productive conversations between us but to pretend that you should have a veto over us
00:36:54.760 is ridiculous and in fact Champlain is a beautiful monument to the cooperation between us so we
00:37:00.460 should come together yes perhaps we can do more to show the history of the Rama people in the area 0.84
00:37:05.620 but that doesn't come from erasing Champlain and what he did with the Huron-Wendat at the time
00:37:12.400 I find it's very revisionist while she's accusing me of that it's classic
00:37:16.380 tyree said he has not spoken with the ramah chief ted edwards or other representatives of
00:37:25.540 the first nation asked whether the dominion society sought indigenous perspectives before
00:37:29.740 preparing the came i don't i don't think it's particularly necessary to advance the campaign
00:37:33.400 that we are prepared i know the history i don't need their permission i don't need to understand
00:37:38.420 their side of it i understand what's going on i understand the the what they're trying to leverage
00:37:43.320 here, but I don't need their permission or their insights in order to advance and defend the
00:37:47.880 interests of my people. My blood is French Canadian. My family arrived here in 1649 to
00:37:53.820 live in settlements that were established by Champlain and the people that were coming
00:37:59.760 through the early 1600s. I'm defending my people's legacy just as they want to defend
00:38:05.460 their people's legacy. So they try and, again, they try and make it out that they're the good
00:38:10.420 guys and we're the bad guys we're pushing back on that we both think we're the good guys we can find
00:38:15.500 we can meet we can meet in the middle we can find some compromise but to say it's your traditional
00:38:21.220 land not my traditional land is just ridiculous i'm happy to meet with canadians of all differing
00:38:27.620 perspectives and backgrounds as we continue to advance our cause daniel said i'm very open to
00:38:32.700 speaking with people even though that i might disagree with them tyree said the organization's
00:38:37.000 door-to-door campaign will be led by volunteers who will be instructed to act respectfully if
00:38:42.300 residents do not want to engage with them. We're not here to harass people. We're here to raise
00:38:46.600 awareness for an issue. If people don't want to speak with us, just like people don't want to
00:38:50.280 speak with people going door-to-door selling stuff and so on every day, they'll politely move on to
00:38:54.900 the next house. Brooks said the planned canvassing campaign worries her, particularly because Tyree
00:39:00.280 says volunteers hope to visit every home in Aurelia. Their message is very triggering for a lot of
00:39:05.500 people and i'm concerned about how that would be received we're going do you want to sign a petition
00:39:12.460 do you believe samuel champlain's like this is what it's going to be hi well hi i'm from the
00:39:18.540 dominion society are you aware that the samuel de champlain statue in kuching park was torn down
00:39:24.440 we believe it should be put back up 70 of it really doesn't agree with us and we're collecting
00:39:29.780 signatures for a petition to bring to city council would you like to add your name to the growing
00:39:35.080 list of aurelians this is the interaction that people are going to be having and she's like it's
00:39:39.240 going to be so triggering what are people going to think we're not going to go like it's not going to
00:39:45.080 be triggering if they say no or i don't want to talk to you guys we're going to go and move on
00:39:49.000 to the next house we're not going to argue with people and all this stuff it's we're collecting
00:39:53.560 signatures this isn't this isn't that triggering trigger warning trigger warning brooke said she
00:39:59.720 also worries the campaign could reveal where outspoken critics and members of marginalized
00:40:03.800 communities live like we're gonna we're gonna mark off where every non-white person lives so 0.93
00:40:09.640 that a bus can come by later and pick them up and throw them on planes this is ridiculous this is 0.99
00:40:14.280 ridiculous we're just looking for other support we're just looking for people who support the 0.64
00:40:19.320 monument if they were to knock on my door then they would know exactly where i live she said 0.97
00:40:25.080 that's a problem brooke no one cares crystal no one cares 0.58
00:40:29.640 let me be very clear no one cares where you live no one cares about no one's coming to harass you 0.99
00:40:39.040 if you don't want to sign the petition we're going to move on to the next house
00:40:41.720 our volunteers aren't even going to recognize you you're so self-important
00:40:45.720 brooks says she believes that the campaign could invade residents privacy and disturb their peace
00:40:53.180 you can't guarantee that she said when asked about tyree's assurance that volunteers would
00:40:57.300 be respectful. He can only take responsibility when it does happen. Yeah, I take responsibility
00:41:01.600 for my volunteers and they're going to do an excellent job. Tyree said the campaign and
00:41:05.440 Aurelia will focus on finding supporters, collecting signature petitions, petition signatures and
00:41:09.800 bringing those signatures to council. When asked by why Aurelia residents should view the monument
00:41:14.400 campaign separately from the Dominion Society broader political agenda, Tyree said that the
00:41:17.860 petition has a specific purpose. We're here with a petition to restore Champlain. It's not about
00:41:23.460 direction of the country or anything like this. You don't have to agree with everything I've ever
00:41:28.340 said. You don't have to agree with everything our organization has done. What we're doing is
00:41:32.560 collecting signatures for a petition to advance a cause that's politically popular in this area
00:41:37.500 and is being ignored by the current administration. The city of Orillia said it does not regulate the
00:41:42.960 circulation of surveys by external organizations and would not comment on the Dominion Society's
00:41:48.080 advocacy activities oh yeah we'll see about that in the next part as a municipality we do not
00:41:53.680 engage in political discourse regarding the activities of an advocacy or survey
00:41:57.920 survey initiatives of external organizations as angela grenier the city's manager of customer
00:42:02.880 service and communications accordingly we will not be responding to media inquiries about the topic
00:42:07.680 tyree's interview with a really matters after he contacted the publication to object to previous
00:42:12.080 coverage of both his organization and his activities in aurelia tyree said the dominion
00:42:16.560 Society expects to return to Aurelia within the next few weeks. There will be some other
00:42:20.360 interesting things, he said, adding that the organization plans to provide advanced notice
00:42:24.140 of future activities. So that's the first article. I thought it was pretty good, pretty fair. They
00:42:29.480 used a very nice picture of me at the top. I think we come across as the normal, reasonable people
00:42:36.660 while Crystal Brooks is just going on and dumping jargon and stuff like this, not engaging with any
00:42:42.620 the substance of anything that I'm saying I think I think we represented nationalists in the in the
00:42:48.060 pro-champagne position very well and this was a great article it was I thought it was professional
00:42:53.260 of the city to say we're not going to engage we're not going to comment although that didn't last as
00:42:58.140 you'll see in a moment so some good coverage possibly possibly the best article that's been
00:43:04.580 written about the Dominion Society since our lodge so we call that a W oh look look we have
00:43:10.100 and finally off work hope I didn't miss out on the meat and potatoes no we're just getting into it
00:43:14.500 we're just getting into it so that's the that's the synopsis that's where that's that's my read
00:43:23.020 along of this great long article in case you can't read I did it for you uh that's what's
00:43:28.900 going on the first article quite good but not everyone was so happy that we were getting some
00:43:36.220 good reasonable coverage. In fact, I believe this article quickly aggrieved our friends over at the
00:43:42.520 Canadian Anti-Hate Network, who were absolutely fuming and seething that they would give us some
00:43:48.240 reasonable coverage. Don't you know those guys are evil? So they probably reached out to Aurelia
00:43:54.920 Matters and started harassing them and demanding they correct the record. And as well, this must
00:44:01.560 have resulted in more pressure on the mayor's office which resulted in this second article
00:44:06.800 and go let's see so we saw in the previous article what did they say
00:44:10.360 that the city of Irelia would not comment on our activities is what they said on July 13th
00:44:21.060 so that was July 13th it was on a it was on Monday
00:44:25.940 and then what the next day the next day uh on monday they said no we're not gonna call that
00:44:37.040 on anything and the next day the mayor posts this on facebook so we get another article and
00:44:42.740 it really matters mayor denounces discriminatory ideology ahead of dominion society door-to-door
00:44:48.040 campaign gotten more coverage out of aurelia in reminder reminder reminder we have not launched
00:44:57.480 our campaign yet all of this coverage is because i spent one day in aurelia filming a video
00:45:03.400 that's it that's my crime that's my crime i went to aurelia for one day i spent a day trip near the
00:45:10.200 beach with my friends, my good friends, Ken and Greg, and we've been, now we've gotten
00:45:17.180 three articles written, two opinion pieces written, and we've been denounced by the mayor.
00:45:24.240 So let's read what Mayor Don, Mayor Don McIsaacs, who I thought might be a voice of reason here,
00:45:31.140 right? I thought he might be our guy, our guy, our guy, right? He put back up the statue in the
00:45:38.420 first place, right? He represented the pro-Champagne position on their little working group for years,
00:45:44.580 going back to 2017. And then more recently, he used his powers to reinstall the statue on the
00:45:50.660 plinth. They said, you didn't get permission from city council to do that. You didn't get permission
00:45:55.060 from the working group to do that. And he said, oh, well, we needed some place to store it. And
00:45:59.920 the cheapest, most practical place to store it was right back where it belongs. Based? Based?
00:46:05.760 based mayor Don McIsaac's? And then he comes down and he starts agitating saying, oh, we might have
00:46:12.540 to melt it down. Like he, it seems like he's trying to foment a reaction from the public in
00:46:18.000 order to, to get the demos on his side so he can put it back up. Right. I'm thinking, and he's not
00:46:24.360 commenting on us. I'm thinking, no, he might be our guy. He might be our guy. Maybe, maybe, maybe
00:46:28.700 we can mobilize enough people to make sure he gets reelected. Maybe we can push him back to victory,
00:46:33.460 but no but no he has to disavow so disappointing let's read what he had to say he posts on
00:46:41.280 facebook we are aware of planned activity by a self-proclaimed nationalist group
00:46:47.300 self-proclaimed why do you have to put in self-proclaimed the self-proclaimed mayor
00:46:52.600 had this to say about our self-proclaimed nationalist group we are planned we are aware
00:46:58.280 of planned activity by the self-proclaimed nationalist group to go door to door in the
00:47:02.640 city to canvass residents and businesses about returning the Champlain Monument to Coocheting
00:47:06.600 Park. While canvassing is permitted in the city, council does not endorse or participate in
00:47:11.800 political advocacy, exclusionary beliefs, or discriminatory ideology promoted by groups of
00:47:16.780 this nature. We stand for a community that is safe, welcoming, respectful, and inclusive. Inclusive
00:47:22.380 for all. There is no place in our city for hate or racism, and we denounce any and all forms of
00:47:28.000 it full stop. That is not who we are. If anyone feels unsafe or harassed during a visit to your
00:47:33.500 home or a place of business by any such organization or during encounters within the
00:47:38.400 community, we encourage you to please call the OPP. Oh no. If someone comes out to you and asks
00:47:44.720 you to sign a petition, you might have to call the police. You might have to call the police.
00:47:50.720 It's absolutely ridiculous. This is the mayor. This is the mayor. It's one thing when Crystal 0.97
00:47:55.340 Brooks an unhinged activist is is fear-mongering but the mayor is saying if someone asks you to 1.00
00:48:03.020 if someone politely asks you to sign a petition please don't hesitate to call the police it's
00:48:08.300 insane it's insane i can't believe it let's read the whole article because this was clearly
00:48:15.820 fomented by the by the anti-hate network and by the way when mr tyler evans called me to get my
00:48:21.900 comments on this. He clearly had not even seen that the mayor had disavowed us, which he then
00:48:26.680 made the headline of his article. I told him this. I told him that the mayor had made a comment on
00:48:32.700 this so I could respond to it in the article. It was clearly a complete result of our friends at
00:48:38.960 the Anti-Hate Network. As a planned door-to-door canvassing campaign by the controversial Dominion
00:48:44.100 Society of Canada has prompted a sharp denunciation by Aurelia Mayor Don McIsaacs and warnings that
00:48:50.140 the Canadian Anti-Hate Network about the organization's beliefs and broader political
00:48:53.880 objectives. The group, which advocates for re-migration, plans to canvass Aurelia homes
00:48:57.980 and gather signatures supporting the return of the Samuel de Champlain Monument in Coocheting Beach
00:49:01.700 Park. The Dominion Society says the campaign is focused solely on the monument. Critics, however,
00:49:07.020 argue that the effort is also providing the organization with publicity and opportunity
00:49:10.900 to promote its broader anti-immigration platform. In a statement posted to Facebook earlier this
00:49:16.680 week. McIsaac said canvassing is permitted in Aurelia, but does not support the ideology he
00:49:21.200 associates with the group. This is just hilarious, right? Like literally in the news coverage,
00:49:25.940 they're like, they're just trying to get news coverage. So we're going to write news coverage
00:49:29.100 about them trying to get news coverage. Do you guys see what you're doing? Do you guys see what
00:49:33.820 you're doing? And this isn't, this isn't some grand strategy by me, right? I really like Samuel
00:49:40.720 Deshaun Plain. I read an 800 page book biography about Samuel Deshaun Plain. I wasn't that familiar
00:49:48.460 with him until not very recently. And I found that he was one of the most remarkable people
00:49:54.020 in Canadian society. And a year later, this starts going on. So I happen to run this great
00:49:59.840 organization called the Dominion Society that we can leverage to push back on stuff like this,
00:50:05.660 that we can help like-minded Canadians to achieve our political goals, whether that be
00:50:12.200 normalizing re-migration or smaller things like protecting statues, right? So this isn't some
00:50:18.180 grand plan. I'm not trying to like, I'm not trying to, to, to sigh off people into believing in
00:50:25.620 re-migration. I, this is a beautiful statue of a great man that I want to see protected. Let me be,
00:50:32.140 LBV perfectly clear. I love Samuel de Champlain. I love beautiful public works. I love Canadian
00:50:39.040 history. This is the intersection of those three things. I'm not trying to promote remigration
00:50:43.700 here, although them reporting on it, remigration, remigration, remigration. It is, we do want to 0.99
00:50:50.400 normalize these ideas. They are always walking into the optics trap, but that's not my game.
00:50:55.040 I would have been happy to not talk about remigration at all. They're the ones forcing 1.00
00:50:59.100 it into the conversation. They're the ones that want to promote our ideas and the concept, the
00:51:03.620 word. Remember, right from day one, right from the launch video in day one, I said, we want to
00:51:09.860 normalize remigration. We want people to hear the word, understand what it means, and feel comfortable 1.00
00:51:14.660 saying it. And this is exactly what they're doing. They're introducing tons of people to
00:51:19.760 remigration. They're introducing even more describing what it means, quoting our policy,
00:51:26.460 quoting what we mean by remigration this is not what I wanted they're not like this is like
00:51:35.120 structurally a part of our organization it's kind of inherent trap card but it wasn't our strategy 0.94
00:51:38.960 going into this campaign I like Champlain that's it but we'll take it we'll take the coverage
00:51:45.100 but so ironic just so ironic they're trying to get publicity he says in the news article about
00:51:54.320 us giving us publicity okay okay let's go back while canvassing is permitted in the city council
00:52:01.800 does not endorse okay we already read all this stuff um the canadian anti-hate network has
00:52:06.880 described the dominion society as part of canada's white nationalist movement pointing to its public
00:52:10.560 rhetoric and relationships with individuals and groups operating within canada's far-right
00:52:14.580 political network elizabeth simons who some suggest is not a real person by the way deputy
00:52:21.120 director of the canadian anti-hat network said there there is significant collaboration and
00:52:25.520 cross-pollination amongst the dominion society leaderships and members of other organizations
00:52:30.280 across the country she says without evidence and baselessly she said those connections can
00:52:37.840 include appearing on one another's live streams and online discussions promoting each other's
00:52:42.060 contents and participating in overlapping political networks spoilers in my opinion
00:52:51.300 when they say nationalist they mean white nationalist simon said well in my opinion
00:52:57.360 when they say anti-hate network they mean anti-canadian network you see how this game works
00:53:02.400 it's a way of trying to sort or water down what they really are i'm very clear about what we are
00:53:09.820 I'm hiding nothing. Simon says, Simon, Simon says, Simon's also raises concerns about the
00:53:17.060 Dominion Society's advocacy for remigration. She says the group initially framed the policy
00:53:21.360 as applying to people in Canada illegally or those convicted of crimes, but she believes
00:53:26.240 its public statements have increasingly suggested a broader target. This is not true. From day one,
00:53:31.720 we've had the same policy. The only adjustment I've made to the, to our, what was a 10 point
00:53:37.300 policy plan. I made an 11 point policy plan to include a more elaborate position on the asylum
00:53:43.180 system. That is the only change I have made since day one to our policy program. So we have always
00:53:48.240 stood for remigrating illegals. We have always stood for remigrating criminals. We have always 1.00
00:53:53.520 stood for remigrating temporary foreign workers, international mobility program. We've always stood
00:53:59.200 for changing laws around citizenship and permanent residency. There's no crazy psyop conspiracy
00:54:05.520 see going on yes we do talk about illegals those that's the top priority those are the people
00:54:10.680 that everyone can agree shouldn't be here that Doug Ford agrees shouldn't be here Dougler
00:54:15.480 right so yes we do talk about illegals and that is often the first thing I mentioned because it
00:54:21.540 is step one close the doors get rid of the illegals but I've never hidden our other position
00:54:28.140 they're literally on her website
00:54:29.740 simon says also said that uh dominion society i can't stop saying simon says
00:54:38.220 uh about heritage canadians ethnocultural continuity in a more homogenous society
00:54:43.560 provides important context for understanding its political objectives she argued that the
00:54:48.860 champlain monument campaign is she argued the champlain monument campaign is not simply
00:54:55.360 about a statue. Yes, it is. The statue is really, in my opinion, just an avenue for them to get
00:55:01.420 attention, create controversy, and draw people to their membership. I don't care if zero residents
00:55:10.180 of Aurelius sign up as a member for the Dominion Society. Let me be clear. I don't care if they all
00:55:16.260 disagree with remigration. If you agree that the monument should stay up, you need to sign the 0.56
00:55:21.120 petition so we can make sure the monument stays up. Because no one else is going to organize
00:55:26.540 people to create the political pressure to ensure the monument stays up. No one else is going to do
00:55:31.380 it. Your only option is the Dominion Society. And we're going to do this right. Next week,
00:55:37.140 you guys are going to, we're going to blow your socks off with what we have planned.
00:55:42.800 We have promotional content. We have literature. We have a petition webpage.
00:55:48.480 page we have you know email automations to get people organized to get people signing up as
00:55:54.840 volunteers we're a serious political organization we're not just some people whining on the internet
00:55:59.280 it's not just a trick to try and get you to to believe to sign up for the organization it's not
00:56:04.400 just to make money or anything like this in fact we're spending tons of money on this thousands of
00:56:09.740 dollars to make this happen in transportation costs printing literature um facebook ads we're
00:56:17.480 spending thousands of dollars on this campaign. It's not to enrich ourselves. It's to protect
00:56:22.040 this beautiful monument. Despite Dominion Society's social media post stating that Canada should stay
00:56:30.580 a white majority country. True. Dominion Society founder and chairman Daniel Tyree rejected the 1.00
00:56:35.780 Canadian anti-hate network's characterization of the organization calling the network
00:56:39.400 an openly partisan group that seeks to dehumanize and delegitimize right-wing activists.
00:56:44.980 so true that's the purpose of the anti-hate society they they say this they say they only
00:56:51.980 want to attack people on the right that they frame as nazis and when someone calls you a nazi do you
00:56:56.900 know what they're trying to do they're trying to dehumanize you to encourage governments to censor
00:57:01.600 you violence against you and other types of political persecution that's the entire mandate
00:57:07.860 of the canadian anti-hate network that's what they told parliament when alvin balgord the executive
00:57:13.660 director was in front of them he said we we we openly anti-fascist and go against the far right
00:57:20.620 and he says anyone that disagrees with him is a fascist it's an activist organization that seeks
00:57:25.860 to undermine people like me and even more moderate politicians pretty hilarious that they put the
00:57:32.260 screenshot in here canada has always been a white majority country and it should say that way yeah
00:57:36.600 we should be able to protect our identity in a follow-up interview with a really matters diary
00:57:41.720 defends his use of the terms such as ethnocultural identity in homogenous society. I believe that
00:57:47.480 these things are inextricably linked. That culture is downstream for the people. Tyree was also asked
00:57:51.920 about the Dominion Society's social media poster. Deficting a cartoon figure sweeping up people of
00:57:57.280 color with a broom with the caption, it's time to clean up Canada. These guys can't take a meme. 0.99
00:58:05.920 let's take a moment let's take a moment let's talk about social media strategy guys let's talk
00:58:11.980 about social media strategy that meme got millions of views by the way very effective
00:58:17.920 propaganda from our from our esteemed propaganda wing yeah well i posted a meme yeah i said canada
00:58:27.300 should remain majority white it should it should remain majority canadian for the record i don't
00:58:33.840 think Canadians should be replaced by excuse me water check water check um I don't think 1.00
00:58:45.660 Canadians should be replaced by Swedish people I don't think Canadians should be replaced by German 0.99
00:58:49.440 people it's more complicated than just being majority white I think Canada should be majority 1.00
00:58:53.960 Canadian why do I say Canadian should be Canada should be majority white because that's much 0.99
00:58:58.880 simpler if I say Canada should be majority Canadian I get idiots that say well everyone 1.00
00:59:03.160 can be canadian canada's always majority canadian because anyone with a passport is canadian 0.99
00:59:07.000 so yeah i say white because it's more inflammatory it gets more clicks it gets more people's attention
00:59:12.840 and that's an important thing to understand about politics and political communications
00:59:18.040 you can have the best ideas the best policies but if no one hears them if no one sees them
00:59:23.160 if no one knows what they are then it's useless so we need to play the game we need to engagement
00:59:28.680 bait we need to we need to have click bait we need to have shocking images that people share
00:59:34.280 and starts discussions and gets people arguing the comment sections to take advantage of the
00:59:38.360 algorithm this is the social media strategy so yeah we use shocking imagery and memes things
00:59:44.360 that are funny we use simple language that's direct because we have more complex language on
00:59:51.400 our website right we have we have an 11 point re-migration plan we're working on massive 150
00:59:59.560 to 100 page policy documents explaining everything we have substance and long-form content but no one
01:00:07.400 is going to read that if they don't find out about it through short form social medias like tick tock
01:00:12.120 like uh instagram reels like twitter like sweet short tweets memes all these things are important
01:00:20.360 to drive impressions to drive people to our more complicated ideas to drive people to this live
01:00:25.080 stream so we can have more substantive conversations on what we mean by these
01:00:29.720 shocking inflammatory images so yeah we did post this we did post this image with the
01:00:37.000 re-migration broom and the guy in the the green dominion society shirt cleaning up canada
01:00:42.200 we need to reverse migration that's what we stand for right and the reality is that the 0.96
01:00:52.060 bulk of people that have come here have been from china from india from the philippines 0.78
01:00:56.920 majorly those three countries the large majority of immigration comes from just those three
01:01:01.060 countries and yeah those people happen to be non-white so they're depicted here but the point
01:01:07.340 is to reverse we're not our remigration plan if they took the time to read through it is not about
01:01:14.400 deporting anyone that is a certain ethnicity is not about it's not based on ethnicity at all it's
01:01:20.240 based on immigration status it's based on illegals criminals temporary foreign workers
01:01:24.500 permanent residents uh uh citizens who compromise their national security and social cohesion now
01:01:31.280 these people happen to be non-white they happen to be indians involved in the bishnoy gang or
01:01:37.740 indians involved in the calistani movement which is increasingly violent so yes 0.90
01:01:45.220 it does depict people non-white people getting removed from the country but it's all about
01:01:52.820 reversing the recent trends of immigration it's not my fault that the people that they've been 0.98
01:01:57.540 bringing here for the last decade happened to be just from india and china and the philippines
01:02:02.140 and that these countries that are more geographically linguistically culturally
01:02:08.040 religiously ethnically distant from canada are a bigger problem to when it comes to integrating
01:02:14.640 in canadian society let's finish the article he said the post represented the organization's
01:02:20.240 support for remigration and reversing recent trends of immigration the immigration that has
01:02:25.440 come to our country over the course of the last few decades has been predominantly from three
01:02:30.120 countries. He said, naming China, India, and the Philippines. These are countries that are much
01:02:34.140 more linguistically, culturally, religiously, and ethnically different than Canada. Tyree contrasted
01:02:39.600 the historic immigration from the United States and the United Kingdom, which he said caused
01:02:44.220 fewer difficulties because of cultural, linguistic, and ethnic similarities. People try and charge 1.00
01:02:49.120 remigration as some sort of racist concept. He said, I would say that remigration is no more
01:02:54.180 racist than the immigration policies that brought them here in the first place tyree denied dominion
01:02:58.080 society as a neo-nazi or white supremacist members and said that the canadian anti-hate network does
01:03:02.640 not have access to my membership list he pointed that the organization's published code of conduct
01:03:07.380 which he said rejects hate violence and illegal activity tyree expressed frustration that local
01:03:13.380 officials and advocacy organizations are focusing on the dominion society's immigration policies
01:03:17.260 rather than the stated purpose of for coming to aurelia this campaign is not about remigration
01:03:21.940 he said it's not even about the Romanian society it's about the Champlain monument and preserving
01:03:26.640 that addressing McIsaac's statement Tyree accused the local leaders of applying an inconsistent
01:03:32.520 definition of inclusivity what they're really saying is we're inclusive unless you disagree
01:03:38.620 with the political uh with the political status quo he said if we're actually an inclusive society
01:03:44.220 then we should be able to allow political disagreements because that's exactly what they
01:03:47.920 they they get on their high horse and they say we're so inclusive but all they mean is inclusivity
01:03:54.620 when it comes to skin color and inclusivity is more than skin deep it should be about
01:04:01.520 this is a democracy it should be about inclusivity of ideas and as soon as someone who disagrees with
01:04:08.680 them even when 70 percent of it really agree with my stance on the champlain monument as soon as
01:04:14.800 someone comes to town who advocates for ideas outside of the status quo that some people might
01:04:19.320 disagree with all of a sudden they're not welcome and we should be we should have the opp on speed
01:04:24.280 dial in case someone gets triggered uh by seeing a green shirt or or a beautiful green hat so 0.52
01:04:31.460 absolutely ridiculous absolutely ridiculous we love the coverage we love the controversy
01:04:38.400 see we love the fight but come on it's about samuel de champlain this isn't some this isn't 0.97
01:04:46.380 some dastardly planned trick everyone into becoming division society members or re-migrationists
01:04:50.960 although that would be a positive development that would be a positive development i won't lie
01:04:54.060 but that's not our goal here the goal is to make sure the statue stands
01:04:58.440 that's it it's very simple and i think folks will be very impressed when the um
01:05:07.080 once the campaign starts rolling up so i i i can't take credit for this one but i posted
01:05:15.900 the um the statement there from the mayor in my in my local group chat in the orillia area
01:05:21.940 by the way if you want to get into your local group chat you have to become a dominion society
01:05:26.280 member you have to be onboarded and you'll be put in touch with dominion society members like-minded
01:05:30.600 nationalists that live close to home to build a community around to get involved as an activist
01:05:35.320 to have new friends you have to get involved as a member in order to get plugged into your local
01:05:42.920 community but and to interact with yours truly i'm in all these groups doing some ship posts
01:05:48.520 and interacting answering questions all that sort of stuff all the time so i post this statement
01:05:52.680 for the mayor in our central ontario group chat and i said um uh you know activist peacefully uh
01:06:01.720 uh calls for the for the protection of the statue the mayor these guys are basically the kkk these
01:06:10.120 guys are basically the kkk we must call the police and one of our local guys pointed out that 0.65
01:06:15.960 ironically ironically the kkk actually wanted to blow up the champlain monument so not only are we 0.69
01:06:25.560 not the kk obviously but the kkk wanted didn't wouldn't have been on our side the kkk wanted
01:06:31.880 the statue destroyed if anything crystal brooks is on the side of the kkk put that in your pipe 0.83
01:06:38.120 and smoking um look at this remember this ku klux klan would forever regret their expansion 0.78
01:06:46.040 into the town of barry let's just get them i don't want to go through another full article
01:06:52.040 but here quite quickly after becoming acquainted the three klansmen decided that they needed to
01:07:00.920 perform some sort of action to cement their commitment to the ideals of the clan and at
01:07:05.880 At first, they chose the Champlain Monument in Aurelia for a demonstration of their dedication.
01:07:10.540 It was a symbol of Roman Catholicism, so they believed, and as such, was countered to what they thought the KKK stood for.
01:07:18.440 Skelly took a revolver from an employee's shop and purchased bullets, dynamite fuse, and blasting caps at a local hardware store on June 10, 1926.
01:07:28.460 This would have been shortly, like a year after the statue was first put up.
01:07:33.040 the trio was unable to find any means of transportation to orillia because they're 0.99
01:07:37.780 fucking losers but their determination to make a clear anti-catholic statement that day was 0.99
01:07:43.040 unwavering so they settled on something nearby skelly butler and lee decided to blow up saint 1.00
01:07:48.480 mary's catholic church instead so they try and make us out to be an evil kkk hate group 0.52
01:07:55.660 but ironically the kkk didn't like champlain and wanted champlain removed so the guys
01:08:01.000 that are against the dominion society that are against champlain that's the real kkk we're just
01:08:07.000 the patriotic canadians that love our past and want to see it remembered and respected not torn
01:08:11.840 down and erased so i thought that was quite hilarious quite the coincidence i had no idea
01:08:17.040 when i made a silly joke that there was actual historical precedent relating champlain and the
01:08:24.440 kkk who would have known who would have known okay that's all i have to say about it really

01:08:55.840 Never did I expect simply going to Aurelia,

01:10:10.160 warning don't call the opp i'm gonna show you guys a news article um that made my hair uh burn
01:10:16.420 off uh i grew a bunch of new gray hairs reading this article
01:10:23.540 yeah this guy lanky man got it right really a membership about to increase exponentially yeah
01:10:29.860 this will be a very interesting campaign the first we have never done anything like this quite yet
01:10:33.860 you know we've done some demonstrations we did the thing uh the conserve what we did the bring
01:10:39.620 back mac this is going to be a very big safe champlain is the next one it's going to be very
01:10:43.860 different it's going to be very interesting okay next article so this is a big one you might have
01:10:51.060 seen recently big news in ontario so foreign migrant living illegally in canada eligible for
01:10:58.260 ontario welfare tribunal rules we've got to give free health care we've got to give welfare to 0.68
01:11:09.780 illegals according according to the courts the courts are the problem guys right this all goes
01:11:14.500 back to the charter gave way too much power to the courts instead of elected officials
01:11:19.540 and now it's wielded by uh the left let's read the article
01:11:26.660 ontario must pay social assistant benefits to foreign migrant living in living illegally in
01:11:33.060 canada a tribunal has ruled in a case revealing that welfare intake workers did not conduct
01:11:39.780 an immigration check of the applicant to avoid jeopardizing his ability to
01:11:44.000 remain in Canada. The Ontario Social Benefits Tribunal heard an appeal by the man who declared
01:11:53.020 he had come to Canada in 1997 on a temporary work permit. 1997. I was born in 1996. This guy's been
01:12:05.960 living in canada illegally for my entire life temporary by the way temporary although his
01:12:14.920 permit expired after four years he never left he was able to support himself by working cash jobs
01:12:22.360 under the table working illegally until 2023 when he entered a homeless shelter system also social
01:12:29.800 assistance that should only be for canadians he told the tribunal after he applied for welfare
01:12:36.280 benefits last fall the administrator of the provincial social assistance program called
01:12:40.780 ontario works denied the man's application because of his lack of immigration status in canada
01:12:45.680 despite the program staff trying to avoid flagging his immigration problems
01:12:51.080 i don't even know what to say guys 0.99
01:12:57.060 like does anyone in the world think that illegals should be eligible for
01:13:03.600 social assistance like obviously social assistance i believe social assistance 1.00
01:13:09.580 should be generous that welfare should be generous but it should only be for canadians
01:13:14.580 right like this is this is the most basic thing i've ever heard and my first reaction is
01:13:23.220 what the hell is the social benefits tribunal the ontario social benefits tribunal why does this
01:13:32.900 exist we have a normal court system to handle these things but this is what the left does right
01:13:38.860 they create all these fake institutions like the ontario social benefits tribunal the human rights
01:13:46.040 tribunals and they fill them up with their their allies with their ideological allies
01:13:51.860 so that even when conservatives get in power like they like it is in in ontario right doug
01:13:57.900 ford is in power but he doesn't get to decide if illegals should be given social assistance he
01:14:04.180 doesn't get to decide that. No, it's decided by the Ontario Social Benefits Tribunal, this fake
01:14:09.880 kangaroo court that's staffed by leftists, by multiculturalists, by ideologues that hate Canadian
01:14:17.980 history, Canadian heritage, actual Canadians, and serve the kind of status quo. We should take
01:14:28.320 inspiration from this, guys. It's not enough to axe the Ontario Social Benefits Tribunal. We have
01:14:36.540 to establish our own steady state to ensure that nationalist ideas govern this country in
01:14:43.300 perpetuity. When we get in power, it's not about cutting things. It's about leveraging the
01:14:48.800 institutions of the state, transforming them in our image to entrench them permanently.
01:14:53.880 absurd what the hell is the ontario social benefits tribunal
01:14:57.960 an ontario works intake office case officer had not conducted an immigration search to 0.72
01:15:05.120 ascertain the man's benefits eligibility the tribunal found to avoid possible possibly
01:15:10.520 jeopardizing the appellant's situation in canada the tribunal accepted the the province's position
01:15:17.980 that the man has no status in canada and is here illegally but heard the applicant's arguments that
01:15:23.520 the denial of benefits did not comply with provincial regulations. At issue at the hearing
01:15:29.440 was the specific wording of the Ontario Works Act, the law regulating provincial welfare benefits.
01:15:34.880 The act outlines the impact of an applicant's immigration status on benefit eligibility and
01:15:41.180 specifies three exclusionary cases, visitors, tourists, and those with deportation
01:15:45.560 or enforceable removal orders against them. Tribunal adjudicator Eric Brown, based in Waterloo,
01:15:52.340 Ontario heard dictionary definitions. What do these words mean, guys? Break out the dictionary.
01:15:59.320 Interpretations accepted at previous hearings and ruled that tourists visitors are people who have
01:16:04.940 entered Canada for a short period of time or temporary purpose. Brown said those definitions
01:16:10.100 show the applicant reasonably fell outside the meaning of both tourists and visitors,
01:16:14.260 given the sheer length or time in the routes the appellant had established while in Canada.
01:16:20.360 no evidence was presented at the tribunal that he had been ordered out of canada by the federal
01:16:25.800 immigration authorities brown then agreed that the applicant that legal immigration status in
01:16:32.300 canada is not a prerequisite for welfare under ontario's act provided applicants didn't fall
01:16:40.780 under three specifically named criteria he ruled the demands denial of benefits to be incorrect
01:16:46.380 and rescinded and declared him eligible to receive financial services uh financial benefits rather
01:16:52.180 the applicant is not identified in the decision released in may in accordance with the tribunal's
01:16:58.240 practice the man's lawyer who works for the community legal clinic did not respond to
01:17:02.100 questions for the national post prior to publication deadline a request for comment
01:17:07.080 for the blah blah blah public opinion has risen has tracked rising concern over immigration levels
01:17:14.960 canada 30 year high and driven largely by pressure on housing health care and social supports
01:17:20.560 according to federal government data according to a 2025 poll conducted by immigration refugees
01:17:26.000 and citizenship canada two-thirds of canadians agree immigration has placed too much pressure
01:17:31.840 on public services in canada the social benefits tribunal is the body that adjudicates disagreements
01:17:36.880 with the provincial government regarding social assistance payments for ontario works in ontario
01:17:42.080 disability like just crazy guys just crazy thank you for the big super chat my best friend uh my
01:17:51.580 friend cunning and bear 76 thank you for the 50 super chat long live canada long live canada the
01:17:58.820 hats on long live canada boys we love it thank you for the super chat cunning and bear our biggest
01:18:05.380 super chatter our biggest super chatter he's a super fan of long live canada we love cunning and
01:18:10.880 bear um just absurd though just absurd illegal technically the acts doesn't say that illegals
01:18:18.860 should should only get shouldn't have benefits like come on guys come on obviously it's part
01:18:24.720 of the obvious social contract that only citizens who pay into the system through taxes get benefits
01:18:30.760 from the system that's obviously how it's always been that that's how it's everyone expects it to 0.92
01:18:37.740 work and how it should work, which is absolutely ridiculous. But the white pill here is that Doug
01:18:45.780 is putting his foot down. Doug tweeted, our government will always be there to support
01:18:53.420 people on hard times, but that doesn't include people living in Canada illegally. If provincial
01:18:58.220 regulations need to be changed to make this crystal clear, we will change them. So that's
01:19:02.360 exactly what we need from our governments, our conservative governments. They need to be standing
01:19:08.280 up against these things. Oh yeah, you think that's what the rules are? We're going to change the
01:19:11.520 fucking rules to make it clear that that's not how things should work. Great to see from Doug, 0.99
01:19:17.980 but not totally surprising either. We know that Doug is ran by guys like Nick Kouvalis and Corey
01:19:25.060 Tanike. These guys are poll hawks. They are on top of what is publicly popular and they have no
01:19:30.980 principles they will shift wherever the wind blows and that's exactly what the case here right
01:19:36.780 as right as the article said 30 year highs against immigration driven largely by housing
01:19:42.200 health care and social support so that's exactly i think we can expect a pivot there from doug
01:19:47.120 specifically around things like health care social supports and housing all provincial areas of
01:19:54.900 governance um so i think we can expect i think this is a test balloon from the ford campaign
01:20:00.180 on more and more anti-immigration messaging and this was a very popular tweet now
01:20:04.640 it got 300 000 views by the way but i responded based but this must include illegal economic
01:20:13.060 migrants larping as asylum seekers the interim federal health program should not exist the 0.73
01:20:17.840 ontario government must refuse to participate there's all sorts of these government programs 1.00
01:20:22.120 made at the federal level like the interim federal health program like the internet
01:20:25.580 housing assistance program that the feds say our policy, they pass money on to the provincial
01:20:32.400 governments in order to actually enact them. And the provincial governments across the country
01:20:38.960 need to push back and say, we're not doing that. We're not giving healthcare to illegal immigrants 1.00
01:20:44.660 that are, they call themselves asylum claimants, but all of these people, all of them, all of the
01:20:51.040 people that are just coming over the border that are coming on tourist visas and claiming asylum
01:20:55.560 claims. All of these people are just trying to get around the system. They're economic migrants
01:20:59.980 warping as asylum claimants. If we're pushing back on illegal immigrants, it's not enough to 0.99
01:21:05.740 just do the people that are overstaying. It has to be the people that are coming here actively 0.98
01:21:10.920 illegally and calling themselves asylum claimants in order to have actual status. So while we're 0.89
01:21:16.880 always happy to see politicians tiptoeing in the right direction, tiptoeing in the right direction,
01:21:22.780 it's not enough we have to keep pushing keep pushing good more good more and the same thing
01:21:30.180 michelle rempel and the conservatives came out uh as well another super chat thanks uh david
01:21:36.960 kovanov the real question is is the dictionary they used racist that's an important question
01:21:41.820 is the dictionary right or the dictionary wrong thank you for the super chat um and uh the federal
01:21:48.640 conservatives michelle rempel the immigration the shadow minister for immigration came out and said
01:21:52.420 I agree with Doug. We should do this. They just kind of jumped on his coattails, but that's not
01:21:57.920 enough. You don't need to just agree, Michelle. Push on your level. Push back on the interim
01:22:04.160 federal health program. Axe it. Axe it completely. Reform the asylum system. It's fake. It's fake.
01:22:10.960 It's all just illegal immigrants. Focus on pushing the ball forward. It's not good enough to be like, 1.00
01:22:16.440 oh, Doug said something popular. Oh yeah, we agree with that as well. This is the spineless
01:22:19.760 conservative party advance the conversation agreeing is is all well and good but you need
01:22:27.560 to push the ball forward um yeah so that's about what i have to say about that folks
01:22:40.120 one last topic for tonight and then we're going to bed it's late 10 o'clock can't start the
01:22:46.420 streams late, guys. Last thing I want to talk about is great big Canadian families. Great big
01:23:01.060 Canadian families. I was inspired by Eric Lombardi, who we've talked about a bit before. He's running
01:23:06.460 for the young man, running for leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, trying to contest Doug
01:23:14.760 forward he's gotten kind of popular with some conservatives he's had some conservative kind
01:23:19.800 of coded messaging he's pushed back on immigration a bit that's been good he disavowed re-migration
01:23:25.240 we don't like that but i kind of like some of the policy ideas he's been putting out
01:23:29.800 and this was one of them
01:23:31.160 so he tweeted this big thing we've been getting the purpose of family and child care policy wrong
01:23:41.960 for decades the goal of family policy first and foremost should be to help young families start
01:23:45.540 earlier absolutely right and have more children than they are nobody considers their quality of
01:23:50.900 life better because they work more or longer fulfillment and self-actualization are far more 1.00
01:23:54.880 complex than that canadian women want over two children according to polling they're having 0.76
01:23:59.800 record lows instead under 1.2 in ontario among the lowest in the country in the developed world
01:24:05.000 by this metric what leaders have developed delivered conservative and liberal alike is a
01:24:09.660 failure and it tells us we're not doing enough to fight the milestone recession they've put
01:24:14.660 on young Canadians we can't keep papering over this real problem with immigration alone
01:24:19.640 our primary measure of success for child care and family policy must be whether we are reversing
01:24:25.660 our civilization threatening fertility challenges by helping families have the number of kids they
01:24:30.720 want to that's why my platform a hopeful future for young Ontarians attempts to change that dynamic
01:24:35.620 by encouraging young people to get married earlier we should value this social institution
01:24:39.360 enabling them to have kids earlier help them to afford more space and time for growing their
01:24:44.780 family i'd like to see public policy treat families as the as the teams that they are
01:24:50.000 so they can find balance between work family and social life that suits them that's why i'm
01:24:54.780 proposing the three following ideas provincial income splitting for 50k for families with kids
01:25:00.500 under six and married couples under 30 even if they don't have kids yet because they should be
01:25:04.860 benefits to getting married earlier. Flexible, portable child care benefits that fit non-traditional 0.97
01:25:09.460 schedules and other personal choices. This does not come at the expense of expanding subsidized
01:25:14.080 child care spaces for families who prefer that model. We should do both. Rent dedications on
01:25:18.740 income taxes for young renters and families with kids under six to help them save and provide for
01:25:24.980 more their children, kids earlier. Four, five percent down zero interest loans for expecting
01:25:31.520 families and those with kids under six so they can buy homes sooner. Consider this a baby needs
01:25:36.300 a new home bonus. You cannot solve real problems by measuring the wrong things. That's why the
01:25:42.360 objective of child care and family policy needs to change. Read more below. I love the sentiment.
01:25:48.820 I love the messaging. The policy is all right. It's a bit soft, I think, but I love where he's
01:25:54.660 thinking. Immigration can't solve this. We need to focus on promoting young families. So I did 1.00
01:26:00.440 respond to this i retweeted that it was a bit tongue-in-cheek i won't lie lombardi wants no
01:26:05.540 immigrants and great big young canadian families um i i'm certainly uh making him out to be a bit
01:26:11.900 more abased than he is but that's the important sentiment here right and i think eric really
01:26:18.280 kind of hits the nail on the head in a lot of ways especially in the overall rhetoric
01:26:21.740 so much like i think the that fertility rate marriage rates young marriages these are much
01:26:32.320 more important metrics than things like gdp to our society this is exactly the type this should
01:26:38.120 be the main priority of governments ensuring their society is propagating itself we should be having
01:26:47.040 we a healthy society is when people are getting married young having more than two children
01:26:54.440 propagating itself 0.66
01:26:56.760 where the man is able to support the family on a single income and the mother is able to raise
01:27:03.540 children that's how we create the most successful family dynamics objectively right kids are most
01:27:10.940 successful when they come from a family with two parents and they get to then children get to spend
01:27:17.660 their early years with as much mother time with their mother as possible that's how we have the
01:27:21.620 most successful stable families that can grow into productive a productive society this is a far more
01:27:29.960 important metric to signal the health of a society than gdp going up right our our outlook on society
01:27:40.240 has become so soulless, it's become so corporatized. And this focus on economic growth
01:27:47.040 as the kind of be all and end all the ultimate goal. I feel like the main goal of governments
01:27:55.140 nowadays is to create an effective business environment, right? Instead of ensure young
01:28:01.820 families are possible. And I think that young family formation above replacement rate is a far
01:28:09.920 more telling metric for the health of a society than numbers charts gdp so this should absolutely
01:28:19.280 be the the priority right this is this focus on gdp has just seen our country sold out to
01:28:24.320 multinational corporations oligopolies oligarchs that control our society for their best interest
01:28:30.480 who have no interest the you know the anywheres who could who have no who have no respect for our
01:28:38.080 history our society our communities as they stand you want rooted families build uh starting young
01:28:46.980 having their own houses expanding their families this is much more important to the to the to the
01:28:52.200 long-term health of society and all sorts of policy uh mechanisms are needed there's so many
01:28:58.680 problems right like it's the the fertility crisis it it goes back not only to immigration but
01:29:04.460 you know high housing prices the dating market which is completely dysfunctional the erosion
01:29:11.260 or the onlineification of the quote-unquote third space like these are serious social problems
01:29:18.700 but we just kind of expect the market to to fix them we we expect society to be self uh
01:29:25.760 self-correcting while the government focuses on the economy and it's just not good enough and i
01:29:30.860 think that more governments need to step in and solve these important social problems in order to
01:29:36.080 ensure that more people are getting married young younger than I am more people are able to to start
01:29:42.780 a house to own a house and start having children young this is the the most important thing for
01:29:49.020 our society and it needs to be more of a focus for public policy so I like to see what Eric is
01:29:54.480 coming up with i like to see his priorities and his focus you know the policy i think you could
01:30:01.360 go further i think he could be more revolutionary i think he could be more exciting uh you know five
01:30:07.240 percent down come on come on let's let's really give young people hope that's how he's going to
01:30:13.760 generate momentum but i like the way he's thinking i like his priorities um another promising thing
01:30:19.420 there from eric but i think that's how we have to be thinking about the future how can we make it
01:30:24.000 so people are getting married younger having children younger that families that were looking
01:30:30.660 through the lens of not individuals anymore that we're looking through the lens of households in
01:30:34.940 the nation right because that's how for the longest time that's how our democracy was initially
01:30:42.480 organized right it was about land-owning males with families um you can say that oh it was like
01:30:49.340 oppressive to women or whatever but the point was it was one vote for a family unit that they
01:30:55.680 were landowning that they had homes that were they were rooted into the future of society that
01:31:00.320 they had connection there and that's what like that's uh you you have uh skin in the game right
01:31:08.100 that's what creates ownership and we should be looking through that lens of households again
01:31:13.000 individuals are fine but we want people to be getting married having children and there should
01:31:18.020 be incentive structures to do that. And there's all sorts of different taxes, subsidies and such
01:31:23.800 that could be introduced to make, facilitate that. But broader solutions to really things
01:31:31.780 like the dating market are so important because right now it is far too difficult to meet people
01:31:36.920 and to get married young. That's a problem that myself I have to deal with. I'm disappointed in
01:31:44.540 myself that I don't have a wife. I haven't started a family by now I'm 30. I definitely wanted to
01:31:51.640 have this stuff going much earlier in life. I've found myself in this position, not because I want
01:31:58.680 to be here, but because I am. And I'm trying to make the most of it. I try and take advantage of
01:32:04.080 the freedom I have from this bachelor life to take risks, to advance the movement, to take
01:32:08.800 political risks that others might not be able to take because they have to pay the mortgage and
01:32:14.420 worry about what their wife might think or supporting the children or whatnot. I've been
01:32:20.260 able to take a lot of risks financially, politically over the last year. But really,
01:32:27.600 I do want a family. And I think they could be doing more. I think the government can be doing
01:32:33.200 more. And I think that our leaders need to be taking this perspective more. So I love to see
01:32:39.080 the the angle that eric's coming from um i will yeah tyree concerned sensitive young man i am a
01:32:44.840 proud a proud sensitive young man a proud sensitive young man i'll take a few questions uh before we
01:32:50.900 wrap up the uh the episode for tonight so you know drop them in the chat we'll do some we'll do some
01:32:55.600 chit chat we'll get low we'll answer some questions have some fun and wrap it up
01:33:03.000 i don't know anyone in their 20s and 30s who owns a home and have children i know a few couples who
01:33:16.340 have one or the other but i literally don't know it i literally don't know what in the 30s or 20s
01:33:21.840 who have both and that's very rare it's very rare very disappointing
01:33:27.780 no questions tonight hey guys
01:33:34.560 i'm in my 40s and i feel the same way i want to i want my akkadian name to live beyond me
01:33:44.260 absolutely absolutely it's the purpose of life right people go what is the what's the purpose
01:33:50.360 of life it's all very simple it's to propagate it's to make sure it's to live well leave something
01:33:57.020 that your your family your community your nation can remember and to pass on uh your name your blood
01:34:05.300 your your yourself onto the next generation it's not that it's not that complicated
01:34:10.580 did you watch the england argentina game the other day yes i did yes i did i watched it i
01:34:15.880 watched it it was a good game leonel messi is the best player in the world still 39 aging like fine
01:34:21.920 line incredible uh i was disappointed in england's performance though there i was really hoping for
01:34:26.960 an England-Spain final just because it would have been different we've seen so much France-Argentina
01:34:30.380 the the last few years I really wanted that England-Spain final and England had the game
01:34:34.860 in their control for most of it they had the lead and then they decided to just bunker down and give
01:34:40.040 Lionel Messi 34 minutes to to do what Lionel Messi does break down a low block and they were punished
01:34:46.580 for it very disappointing but it'll be an interesting final nonetheless
01:34:50.280 raising canes order i've never been to raising canes
01:34:54.840 why are you chewing so loudly i'm sorry magpie i'm sorry i'm sorry i needed some nicotine tonight
01:35:02.300 i should have taken it out i mean i apologize i hope it didn't ruin the episode for anyone
01:35:09.460 do you still need people behind the scenes writing policy papers yes
01:35:13.980 yes we need more people all the time sign up as a member make sure you're signed up as a member
01:35:18.160 um you should receive a call to get you plugged into our volunteer systems and added you we have
01:35:24.740 four main volunteer teams one of them is dsys the dominion society intelligence service and they
01:35:28.760 focus on policy papers and other research projects so sign up as a member and you can get plugged
01:35:33.240 into that i've seen some websites claiming loyalists were more german than english is that
01:35:38.200 true if not what's the ethnic percentage of loyalists look like loyalists were 100 anglo
01:35:43.140 they were mostly english irish scottish almost entirely english these are people that fought for
01:35:48.720 the crown they weren't germans but um germans were you know they were very few germans in like 1867
01:35:57.980 when when canada was initially founded canada was 97 percent white uh sorry 97 percent anglo french
01:36:04.160 so that's 97 english irish scottish and french it was three percent uh everything else about
01:36:12.460 two percent of that was native so one percent of the country was other european groups germans
01:36:19.820 being one of the largest but like no german loyalists that's complete nonsense i don't know
01:36:24.780 where you've seen that daniel i think it's necessary especially to consider the remigration
01:36:30.380 of those who came as refugees during the 2011 to 2015 migrant crisis especially those who came as
01:36:35.580 kids yep i agree refugees the whole concept of refugees shouldn't be around permanent settlement
01:36:42.460 like sure if we're taking in people during times of war or uh environmental catastrophe or
01:36:48.920 something first of all they should be housed closer to their home country we should help
01:36:53.140 establish you know camps in nearby countries or something like that they definitely i don't see
01:36:58.740 why a war in your country means you get to live here for the rest of your life 1.00
01:37:02.100 in countries like syria that have become more stable they these people should absolutely go back 0.97
01:37:07.100 I had my first at 30. I'm still raising one at 50. Yeah, there's still hope. I mean, men, 1.00
01:37:14.900 men, we age, we age well. So I just need to find a nice young lady. 1.00
01:37:23.520 The most common sermon in Canada will be sing. Nope, they're going back.
01:37:28.240 is that the reading list you mentioned on the website i've been trying to find non-leftist
01:37:40.420 books it's not on the website but you can send me an email info at dominion society.ca
01:37:46.660 and i'll send it to you it's about five or six um five or six books all very important on
01:37:54.440 Canadian history and kind of rightist thought,
01:37:56.840 all good stuff.
01:37:58.760 John Wallace asks,
01:37:59.760 what about King Charles calling himself
01:38:01.680 the defender of faiths?
01:38:03.240 Thoughts Daniel.
01:38:05.400 It's, you know, this is multiculturalist law,
01:38:07.640 you know, John, you know,
01:38:09.680 he's the defender of faith, the Anglican church, right?
01:38:12.560 Not many faiths.
01:38:14.400 It's this reinvention of English society
01:38:17.740 as a multicultural nation of immigrants or whatever,
01:38:21.040 which makes even less sense in the context of England. 0.76
01:38:24.440 I didn't need England to win.
01:38:27.040 I just needed Argentina to lose.
01:38:28.680 Well, there's still another chance for Argentina to lose.
01:38:32.920 Favorite NHL team.
01:38:34.440 I'm not super plugged into hockey.
01:38:37.080 I grew up in Toronto.
01:38:38.220 I'm kind of a passive Leafs fan.
01:38:39.860 You know, when playoffs come around, I tune in.
01:38:42.080 But I'm a fair weather fan.
01:38:43.740 I'm a fair weather fan.
01:38:45.160 I watch more soccer.
01:38:47.360 Peak Nick reference.
01:38:48.520 I don't even know what you mean.
01:38:50.540 Oh, nicotine.
01:38:52.220 Oh,
01:38:54.440 nicotine decreases sperm count stop don't worry i don't overdo it i have very
01:39:00.440 high self-control i don't have any addictions to anything to anything other than work other
01:39:07.580 than to saving my country that's my real addiction
01:39:10.160 super chat from them them are mackerels i'm so bad at reading these usernames thank you for the

01:39:30.140 eat out a lot, guys. I eat whole foods. I cook for myself. We're on the cut right now. We're

01:39:55.720 That's what it's all about, guys. 1.00
01:39:58.960 Do you think the Catholics and Protestants 0.91

01:40:02.700 Yeah, no, that sounds great.
01:40:03.880 That sounds great. 0.96
01:40:04.980 We need to have like competition. 1.00
01:40:07.140 Can Ontario or Quebec have a higher fertility rate? 1.00
01:40:10.000 That's exactly what we need.
01:40:11.540 That's exactly what we need. 1.00
01:40:12.820 As long as there's real Canadians, 1.00
