Dominion Society of Canada - Nationalism is the new counterculture

In this episode, we sit down with our good friend and former co-host of the Canadian political show, Daniel Gulati, to talk about the current state of Canadian politics and what it means to be a Canadian in the 21st century.

00:00:00.000 you know daniel there's a lot of older guys like me i'm 60 and we've got a lot of people who watch

00:00:06.780 this show between the ages of 45 and dead and we we don't have a lot of younger people and i've got

00:00:15.640 two theories behind that first of all is the host of the show is 60 years old and maybe they don't

00:00:19.480 identify with a guy who's that old but secondly maybe the young people these days just aren't

00:00:25.040 into it. They're just not into it. And that's what a lot of people of my generation, the generation

00:00:31.040 one below me and the generation one above, they kind of worry about today's youth. Now seeing you

00:00:35.820 come on the screen, looking the way you do and sounding like the way you do, that gives us some

00:00:40.380 hope for the future. But your generation, can you explain your generation a bit to us so maybe we

00:00:45.880 can understand it a bit more? Because we see a lot of blue hairs, a lot of neck tats, a lot of

00:00:51.920 safety pins through the cheek a lot of screaming yelling crying carrying on and is that what

00:00:56.840 they're pumping out in universities these days or is that where they're picking it up mostly

00:01:00.220 i don't know there's definitely been a lot of cultural decay and that can be chalked up to

00:01:04.260 a lot of things i would say that we've been gaining a lot of support from a younger crowd

00:01:08.380 and there is an appetite for our kind of message and identity amongst young people and old but

00:01:14.060 there are radicals on both sides right all these people that are kind of sucked into this blue

00:01:18.480 haired, face pierced and tattooed kind of degeneracy, there is an equal group that's

00:01:23.760 more quietly rising on the other side. And I hope I can be a representative of that kind of

00:01:29.180 counterculture that's looking to kind of reassert ourselves. Isn't that ironic that the young guy

00:01:34.560 with the short haircut and the suit on is a counterculture guy? That's funny, because the

00:01:39.820 counterculture used to be the hippies, right? Yeah, absolutely. But the powers that be have

00:01:45.320 kind of weaponized the the hippie culture of not giving a fuck and they they promote that and then 0.96

00:01:51.040 they do whatever they want to their own benefit so really it is the counterculture to stand up to 0.83

00:01:55.860 all the elite structures that are promoting these degenerate ideas that are promoting mass

00:02:00.020 immigration for their own corporate benefit right like they they promote mass immigration to keep us 1.00

00:02:05.160 separated and to drive down wage costs and it's all for the elite benefit it's not that no one

00:02:11.900 benefits from mass immigration, right? We have to dispel that reality. Certain groups do benefit

00:02:16.180 from mass immigration. It's just the average Canadian does not. So it's time for us to unite

00:02:20.180 and push back. And I do think it is kind of backwards. I don't look like a punk rocker in

00:02:24.500 any sense of the word. We're definitely the kind of reactionaries that are pushing back. I think

00:02:28.920 it's cool. I think it's fun. And I think that's why people are going to be excited to get involved.
