Dominion Society of Canada - Pull Factors

Canadians are a generous people, forged in a hostile environment, we develop strong communitarian ties as a mode of survival, but our generosity is being abused. We do not owe foreigners the same benefits. It s time to axe the programs, shut down the asylum system, and send these economic migrants back home.

00:00:00.000 Immigration in Canada is so dysfunctional. Honestly, it's hard to believe. People from 1.00

00:00:08.040 anywhere in the world can apply to enter Canada on a tourist visa. When they get here, they can

00:00:12.040 download an app to claim asylum. No in-person vetting process, just a tap on your phone screen

00:00:16.500 and suddenly you're an asylum seeker. Then, regardless of the accuracy of your claim,

00:00:20.660 you get to sit in the backlog process for what can be years. There are roughly 500,000 open

00:00:25.740 claims right now. While you wait, you get to enjoy generous, free, or rather taxpayer-funded,

00:00:30.380 healthcare through the IFHP, which even includes things like pharmaceuticals,

00:00:34.940 prosthetics, and dental care, things that even Canadian citizens don't necessarily have access

00:00:39.500 to. If they have children, they can put them in our education system. Technically it's not allowed,

00:00:43.260 but it's not enforced either. Then, if you happen to have a child while you're here,

00:00:48.140 the government will pay you almost $8,000 per child per year. The Canadian government has

00:00:53.340 paid more than seven billion dollars over the last nine years to non-citizens through the

00:00:57.660 kid and the child benefit and on top of that those kids are automatically granted canadian

00:01:02.300 citizenship which can then be used to get citizenship for their parents or even extended

00:01:06.540 family members even if an asylum claim is ultimately rejected these people have still

00:01:10.620 got to enjoy years of taxpayer-funded benefits and if they have a child they are almost guaranteed to

00:01:16.700 stay this is why people keep flooding into our country not only are they not punished they reap 1.00

00:01:21.180 rewards for abusing our system we call these pull factors government incentives that are pulling

00:01:26.700 migrants into our country the migrants aren't really to blame here they're only acting rationally 1.00

00:01:31.100 given the set of incentives offered by the canadian government the first step towards

00:01:35.180 re-migration is to end all of these programs these people will start to return to their 1.00

00:01:39.500 countries voluntarily as soon as we turn off their benefits they have no loyalty to this country

00:01:44.060 they are here purely for the free stuff even more broadly it is time for a modernization of the

00:01:48.620 asylum program we must view all policies through a nationalist lens the question should not be what

00:01:54.460 is the most fair behind a veil of ignorance it should be how does this benefit the canadian

00:01:59.260 people if the answer is it doesn't the policy is in need of reform or repeal canadians are a

00:02:04.140 generous people forged in a hostile environment we develop strong communitarian ties as a mode

00:02:09.180 of survival but our generosity is being abused our people deserve the best in the world but we

00:02:14.140 We do not owe foreigners the same benefits. 1.00

00:02:16.740 Canada needs re-migration. 1.00

00:02:18.040 It's time to axe the programs, shut down the asylum system, 1.00

00:02:21.280 and send these economic migrants masquerading as asylum seekers back home.

00:02:26.780 Long live Canada.
